Speaker 2 (01:45):
Welcome Carmen, Hi Victor, thanks for having me back.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Wonderful to have you back again. We're going to be
talking about your new book, your Astrological Energy, Maximize the
Power of your Birth Chart. But first of all, for
listeners meeting you for the first time, please share your
early path and the event that opened your fascination and
pursuit of astrology and all things metaphysical.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Sure, so it really started when I was in high school.
I always was very sensitive and intuitive and could feel
energy and would dream things and was just very spiritual
and didn't really understand why I was the way I was.
I was very different than everyone in my family. And
one night in high school, it was my senior year,
(02:31):
I came back from a basketball game that I had
played in and I always had to have my door
face my bed facing the door with the nightlight on
because I was always kind of afraid of the dark.
And I went to sleep like normal, and I woke
up and I saw a glowing ball of light in
my doorway. It was bigger than a softball, translucent, like yellow, watery,
(02:53):
floating there and I tried to yell for my mother,
but I had no voice. I couldn't move. It's like
I was frozen. And I laid there for hours watching
this thing, and I kept saying, please, don't have it
come to my room in my brain and my thoughts,
and it never did. It just hovered there and then
it would go down the hank come right back. And
after hours it's like it released me and I was
(03:14):
able to yell, Mom, look in my doorway, and so
my mother saw it too, and so for the first time,
she believed me. But she tried to rationalize it. You know,
maybe someone shining a flashlight. I'm like, no, maybe it's
a lightning bug. I'm like no, it's too big. She said,
just go back to sleep, and so I laid there
till I think I passed out, and the next day
(03:35):
she said that was no lightning bug. I don't know
what that was. And so after that I started getting
books about angels and spirit guides and all these things.
And I got my first astrology book when I was sixteen,
and I just fell in love with astrology. It validated
my personality and why I have those kind of experiences
(03:55):
in the first place, so that's kind of my story.
And then from there I just I started doing charts
by hand and practiced and started really being astralger at
nineteen and I've been doing it ever since. I'm going
to be fifty in August, so it's been a long time,
my whole life.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
How did these experiences lead you to clinical social work
and psychotherapy.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Oh, that's a great question.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yes. I wanted to help other people that also had
unexplained experiences or that felt, you know, like they were alone.
And really the big thing was victors that ever since
I was young, people would come up and tell me
all their problems and I never understood until I learned
astrology why and then it all made sense. But I thought,
(04:43):
you know, people like to share really deep secrets with
me and very you know, painful things. I said, you know,
I want to be a counselor, and so I decided
I was going to be a child's psychologist. I love kids,
and working with kids is what I thought I would
end up doing. But I actually ended up working with
trauma survivors for the Air Force for over twenty five
(05:04):
years and doing prevention and response and suicide prevention and
all of that. So I never thought the journey would
lead me working with adults because I always thought i'd
work more with children, which I did start out doing
children and teens, but then I just moved into what
I was meant to do, which I guess is working
with people that were a little bit older. So but no,
(05:27):
I always brought my love of astrology into it. But
I always had a separate astrology business and then my
normal job, so I really kept them, you know, separate,
and I had two jobs my whole life, really and
you know.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
So you know, it's funny. And the reason I was
chuckling when you mentioned about people would come to you
and tell you their problems. I had the same experience
when I was younger. And I'm just wondering. You know,
we talked about my chart the last time. We'll leave
that for later if we talk about it all today,
But I'm just curious as to where that connection comes.
Where people also saw in someone that they could come
(06:01):
to and share their experiences and their worries and so on.
That's fascinating. Thank you for sharing that.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah, you're welcome.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
You blend all of this work together and you're the
prolific author with eleven books. Today, we're going to be
discussing your new book, your Astrological Energy, Maximize the Power
of your Birth Chart. But the last time you were on,
we discussed your book Moon Signs, Houses and Healing Gain
(06:30):
Emotional Strength and Resilience through Astrology. What inspired that book
and what did you share with readers.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Yeah, so that book was really inspired by my Sun Signs,
Houses and Healing book. And then I thought, you know,
the moon Everyone kind of knows their sun sign, but
the moon sign is actually more powerful in our birth chart.
It's really the most powerful placement that we have because
it's our emotional our spirit, our soul, how we react
(07:00):
to things, how we show love, how we find happiness, comfort,
and stability in life. So that moon sign is where
we're vulnerable. That's like our deeper loving self. So I
wanted to really teach others how important the moon sign
was in healing and in overcoming obstacles and becoming more resilient.
And I feel like a lot of people don't realize
(07:23):
that moon sign is even stronger in your chart than
your sun's sign. And so that's why I wanted to
write that book to highlight that because I always you know,
I'm a Virgo sun, but oh wow, my moon's and
aries and I've always such a powerful emotional nature that'll
just come up really fast. And I understood why now
(07:45):
when I really tapped into my moon, and that moon
sign helps you with the strengths to overcome pain and heartbreak,
and that moon sign energy is where we really have
to tap in to make those emotional changes in our
life and to forgive and let go and move forward.
It's that moon sign that's so so key.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
And my moon is Inaquarius. What would that say to you?
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Oh wow?
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Well, first of all, you know, Aquariuses are humanitarians. You know,
you want to help others on a large scale. You
care about people, but you're able to do it in
a detached way, so you're able you don't always take
on everybody's stuff, you know, like you may be empathic,
but you're able to kind of have a boundary. Because
(08:33):
Aquariuses are an air sign, so they're intellectual and they're innovative.
They're all about doing things that are a little bit
non traditional, that are unique and eccentric and very different
than other people. So emotionally, you also like to have
lots of friends and acquaintances, Like it's a social moon,
(08:54):
you know, networking with people, you know, doing you know,
this podcast, doing radio, all these things is very Aquarian
moon because you connect with people through knowledge, through learning
about things right that they share. And Aquarius actually rules astrology.
They're the sign of astrology, you know, the planet Uranus.
So it's open to things that are different, that aren't traditional,
(09:18):
you know absolutely.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
You know, it's interesting that you shared that because a
lot of my lot of my life I had difficulty
with boundaries until my early fifties when I realized the
healing power of saying no when it was appropriate to
say no. And you know, just to give you the
whole chart again, the is it Capricord moon and Aquarius
(09:41):
and cancer rising cancerous.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
That's why it's your cancer rising victor because that cancer rising,
the rising sign is your chart ruler. So guess what
your chart ruler is?
Speaker 4 (09:53):
The moon?
Speaker 2 (09:54):
The emotions, So you're very empathic, and you would just
feel everybody stuck and want to help, then want to nurture,
then want to take care of others. So it's that water.
That moon is your ruler. Then you have an earthy
Capricorn sun and then you have this Aquarius. So what
makes you more sensitive is that rising sign that is
a powerful thing in the chart.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
So learning that lesson and late in life of yeah,
how to say those is something that I probably have
to really fight for my internal self.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Right, absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Your book has chapter after chapter sharing the moon sun relationship.
Please share with us a few examples of how moon
signs affect sun signs.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yes, so the sun sign is the outer personality. It's
what you share and show people, and it's kind of,
I want to say, your mask, but it is a
little bit. It's what you naturally people notice about you
because you're open with it. And then the moon sign
is your hidden nature. You don't typically show your moon
(11:03):
traits and energies until you trust someone because the moon's
sign is where you feel vulnerable. So whatever sign it's
in is the energy you're gonna show with emotion, and
whatever house it's in also impacts how you show emotion
and how you express yourself. So if your moon's an
Aquarius but it's in the fourth house, which is a
(11:25):
cancer house, it's going to make you more more protective,
more sensitive, more empathic, more emotional, you know. So the
houses matter too of where that planet the planets are at.
But what it does is that moon sign is the
real you. And so when people get to know you,
they'll be like, wow, you're very different than I thought
you were. And that's especially true if your moon sign's
(11:48):
different than your sun's sign, and if it's different than
your rising sign. People are really shocked when they really
get to know you, because they don't really know you
until you open up and bevulnerable and show them how
you love and how you take care of people. So
most people, unless we have an intimate relationship with them,
(12:08):
we don't always see people's moon signs. It can come out,
you know, if they get frustrated or irritated, or during
a full moon, you know, and sometimes people get more
you know, irritable and more emotional and they express, you know,
their emotions a little bit more on their sleeve. But
for the most part, you really got to get to
(12:28):
know someone for them to trust you to show you
how they really feel. And so it's important to know
both because it's balancing. You can use your moon sign
strengths and energies to help you overcome things, and it
blends well with your Sun sign strengths. You know, you
(12:49):
want to look at both of course and see how
you can, you know, bring them together, because sometimes they
could be very different and they could be very opposite energies.
So that's where it can be a little difficult sometimes,
Like you know, I'm a Virgo Sun, which is earth
and very shy, and then I'm an aries Moon, which
is very straightforward and tells the truth and wants action,
(13:11):
and they don't. They're a little bit impulsive. So I
have these two sides of me that I have to balance,
and so we're learning to balance our energies. And that's really,
you know, what I wrote this new book about, because
everyone has all twelve signs in their birth chart, all
twelve energies that we can tap into. Even if we
(13:33):
don't have a planet in one of the signs or
in one of the houses, we can tap into the
energy of each sign in our birth chart. You know,
if you want to be more Scorpio and you really
read about Scorpio and you're like, I really wish I
could be like that, you can learn to embrace that
energy and learn about harnessing that energy in whatever area
(13:55):
of life that that sign falls on your wheel, on
your birth wheel, and we all have every sign somewhere
on that wheel. And so that's why I kind of
wrote this book to show people that it's all energy
and we can tap into it.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Before we get deeper into the book, there's been a
lot of talk about the moon the last few months.
Anything we should know about how the moon is interfacing
with other heavenly bodies aside from the Sun at this time.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Yes, so the moon. One of the things that the
moon is.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
We have we have moon cycles like we you know,
we have new moons, which new moons have to do
with setting intentions of our hopes, wishes and dreams, you know,
what we want to manifest and they you know, we
believe that the moon's energies impact us so much because
you know, the moon affects the tides of the ocean,
so of course it would affect us because we are
(14:49):
made mostly of water right our body. So the new
moon is setting new intentions, visualizings, manifesting, thinking about what
you want. And then the full moon is when we
need to let go of things and feel our emotions
and withdraw and release. And so every month we have
(15:11):
these moon cycles that are affecting us at all times.
And you know with the full moon when I did
crisis intervention work, it was so interesting because the police officers,
you know I was on calls, well, they would tell
me that the busiest time of the month for them
was during the full moon because there was more domestic disturbances.
(15:31):
People fight more, they get a little bit more irritated,
there's more accidents, people are a little bit more impulsive,
and so it's a scientific thing how the moon cycles
and energies affect us. Also, we have what's called eclipses,
and eclipses are powerful, destined, fated energies the astrologers believe
(15:52):
trigger events in our life. So when there's an eclipse,
it's really important to pay attention to what's going on
in your life and knowing your birth chart because it
can show where you'll have a lot of changes coming
in your life. Another powerful thing that the moon placement
in astrology shows is it's connected to what's called the
nodes of the moon, and the node, the north and
(16:14):
south node is what we call it. It looked the
north note looks like a headphone's like horseshoe, and the
south node looks like an upside down headphone. And I
have a book about this too, Astrology's Magical Nodes of
the Moon, but it's about your destiny. So it's a
calculation that has to do with the Moon's orbit and
we call it the nodes, and those nodes are your
(16:36):
soul's mission this lifetime, and it can show your past lifetimes.
And what you've already learned is the South note. The
North note is why your soul came here and what
it came to learn. And this whole calculation is based
on the moon, So that's a whole other part of
the moon in astrology.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Wonderful. I didn't realize that that you could use these
charts and signs to determine your soul's purpose in this lifetime.
I didn't know that absolutely.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
I always tell people, you know, the moon, the moon
is so important and the North node and South nodes
of the Moon, and we call them that because they
whatever house it's in, whatever sign it's in, that's where
your soul is needing to go and learn. And we
get there naturally. So by the time we're let's see,
(17:25):
we have a Saturn return and the planet Saturn is
is the planet of karma and destiny and fate and
responsibility and wisdom, and that Saturn return is what triggers
us to get into the node, the North Node, and
that doesn't happen until the first time is at age
twenty seven to thirty, and we start moving towards the
(17:48):
North Node for the first time, and we're like, wow,
we don't this doesn't feel comfortable because we don't know
what this is. And then we start our whole life.
All the events that are going on and the transits
are getting us into that North Node, and then we
have a lot of experiences, and then by the time
we're fifty seven to sixty we have a second sand return.
(18:09):
And by the time people are sixty one, they're doing
the North Node energies, and I talked to them and
they've mastered it. So the universe gets us there naturally,
but if we can learn about the sign the North
nodes in in the house, we can start trying to
get there sooner.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
That's interesting. I turned seventy two in January, and one
of the things that I found, especially the last ten
or so years, is I'm more peaceful now than I've
been in my.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Entire life, absolutely, because it's like because you're in your mission.
You know, after that time, everyone's like, yeah, I went
through these things and I'm doing what I'm meant to do,
and you feel it's like a sense of peace and
you feel a sense of accomplishment, like you know, I'm
in I'm doing what I want to do and what
I came to do. And if you look, I have
(18:56):
to look at your chart to see where your node is,
but that node is is kind of where you're going.
And I'm trying to do that now because I'm going
to be fifty and I'm like, you know, I just
changed my entire life this year. I left my job
in the Air Force after twenty five years. I went
ahead and left and decided to do my spiritual work
(19:17):
full time and my North nodes in Scorpio. So I
meant to kind of do deep work and to be
my own boss. So I want to be an entrepreneur
and that's kind of what I'm doing, and I'm supposed
to do it in the third house, which is writing books, teaching, communicating,
coming on these podcasts. So this is what I'm trying
to focus on and so I can really get in
(19:40):
my soul mission and do what I came here to do,
and the more I did that, I have more and
more opportunities that keep coming my way because I'm finally
in the flow of where I'm supposed to be.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
That's interesting because one of the things I've never fully
retired from anything in my life, and over the past
cup years, I've been called back to work in the
industry that I spent forty four years in, which is
not a spiritual industry. It's an industrial technology industry. But
I also have expanded my spiritual aspects and the callings
that I've had in terms of working with people during
(20:14):
spiritual coaching, that type of thing, and I think that balance,
the fact that I maintained both of them at this
stage of my life is so rewarding.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I mean it's it's always it's really important to do
what brings you joy and to do what you like,
to do what you're good at, you know, you get
a sense of fulfillment. And I kind of am doing
that as well. I've always had two jobs, you know,
and I like that. I like having my spiritual work
(20:45):
and then I like having my normal social work jobs,
you know, as a contractor. And I'm kind of looking
into that now and maybe being a professor. You know,
I applied for some jobs so I would love to teach.
I know I love to teach, and I know I
love to write, and I realized that's my I knowed
that is why I like that, and I need to
start doing more of that, you know. So it's really
(21:07):
important to know your chart and to have it done
by an astrologer at least once, so you can really
get validated on some things you already know about yourself.
Because an astrologer really we just validate the energy and
validate what you know about yourself. And that's what's powerful
about it. And I'd love to help people with that,
with finding their career path, you know, what work is
(21:28):
good for them, what's going on in affecting their lives
right now. You know a lot of people come to me, why,
you know, why is this happening? I'm having a hard time,
And I'll look and the transits of the planets can
really show what energies are impacting our home and family,
our work, our career, our health. And I just share
those energies and give tips to help people. So it's
(21:50):
really deep therapy is what I do as an astrological counselor.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
On Destination Unlimited. My guest this week, Carmen Turner shot
her new book Your Astrological Energy, Maximize the Power of
Your Birth Chart. Carmen, what else do you share in
this book about the relationship between various celestial bodies and energy?
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Absolutely so?
Speaker 2 (24:21):
In this book, I really wanted to cover everything. So
we have not only the sun, not only the sun
and moon placements, but I talk about, you know, how
to harness each sign's energy, and then I give tips
for how to do that and what each sign needs.
And I also highlight each rising sign for each sign.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
I highlight all.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Of the planets in the sign in the house for
each chapter, and so all the planets in Taurus, all
the planets in the second house, which is the house
of Taurus, and so on, and then also talk about
transits through each of the houses. And so those those
transits are so important to know how it's affecting you
(25:09):
in your life. And so you know, I talk about
you know, uh, you know Pluto transit in the second
you know sun Moon. I tell how long that'll be
affecting you. And you can look everything up in my book.
You can you can look up. You're gonna use every
chapter in this book. You're not just going to read
one chapter because I tell you how to get a
free birth will in the in the introduction, and you
(25:32):
you know, you'll have your will and you can start
looking up everything. Oh, I got the sun in the
second house. Let me go to the second chapter, what
does that mean? And and you know Pluto in the
eighth You can look up the Pluto in the eighth
in the eighth chapter. So you'll be using the whole
book to look up and see what I have to
say about all of the different aspects in your chart,
the main ones.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
And please show with us a little more about the
specific energy of the sun signs.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
Yeah, so Aries is area starts the zodiac and Aries
they're independent, resilient, competitive, passionate, confident, straightforward, adventurous, their warriors,
they're athletic, they're impulsive, they like to take action, they're brave,
and they always say, you know, Aries motto is I
(26:21):
never give up.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Okay, that's their motto.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
And then you know Taurus. You know, Areas is fire.
So then we have the second sign Taurus.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
They're Earth.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
So of course their motto is I need to have
a thought out plan. And their words are determined, patience, stubborn, stable, quiet, calm, peaceful, artistic, attractive, charming, affectionate,
and grounded. And so all the Taurus energy is very earthy,
(26:52):
you know, very grounded. Tauruses rule the senses that you know, sound, site, taste, everything,
They're very sensitive. They like to be out in nature,
and change is difficult for them. Where an Ares loves
to change and likes to you know, shake things up,
a Torus wants to keep things the same and they
don't like sudden change. They like to plan and be
(27:15):
ready for it, right. And so then we have the
third sign, which is Gemini, and Gemini is air. They're
known to be restless, intelligent, talkative. They're the communicators of
the zodiac. They're observed and adaptable. They love to learn,
very you know, indecisive at times. They're friendly, flirtatious, and
their motto is I can be indecisive and need need
(27:39):
to be allowed to change my mind. So they need
to be able to change when they need to. And
they do change their mind a lot. And it's not
that they can't help it, you know, it's part of
who they are. So they just are interested in so
many things. They just want to learn everything about everything.
So they may be reading one book and then another
(28:00):
book catches their eye and they never finish a book,
you know, they move on to the next book. A
lot of them tell me they have like twenty books
they never finished, but they just read bits and pieces
of all of them right, and they're very they're just
very fun and in social people. And then we have cancer.
The foresign cancer is the mother the nurture. They're known
(28:22):
to be psychic, empathic, affectionate, imaginative, romantic, gentle devoted, also
self protective, psychic, reflective homebodies. As a cancer, I care
about my friends and family, you know. There the home
and family is very important to a cancer and even
if if they don't have their own you know, partner
(28:43):
or kids, they often like to work with children in
some way or in the medical field or you know,
counseling field where they can really help people. They're also
good at finance and business. They have that side to
them as well. So cancers people think they're always really
nurturing and kind, which they are, but they're also you know,
(29:03):
world by the moon, so they can go through emotional
highs and lows, and they like to withdraw and have
their alone time. They need their solitude. So that's why
they're known to like to be home and stay home.
They're not always wanting to go out and out to
public places. They like to be home. It's where they
feel most comfortable. And then we have Leo. Leo is
(29:27):
the artist, the the flirt, the leader, the powerful entertainer. Right.
Leo's are confident and dramatic and proud and determined and
very loyal. But they're known to be courageous as well
and friendly and a little bit you know competitive. You know.
They're a fire sign and their motto is I want
(29:50):
to express myself fully. So they need If you look
in the world, you can see famous people. A lot
of people that are artistic or musicians are or actors
or politicians that perform on stage or that are up
in front of big groups of people in.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
The public eye.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
They often have Leo energy somewhere in their chart, you know,
either sun moon rising or something that gets them out
into the public eye where people know them and they
they're very artistic and they need to express themselves, even
if they don't do it for a living. A lot
of Leos, you know, can have very powerful careers, but
(30:28):
they usually have some kind of an artistic ability that
they might do as a hobby or just as a
side you know, thing that they enjoy. And then we
have Virgo, the sixth sign, which is the analyzer. Virgos
are the worker bee. They're earth. So they're efficient, productive,
detail focus. They can be perfectionistic. They are hardworking, responsible,
(30:51):
super conscientious, reliable, loyal. They also have a hard time
with change, but they love to get things done. They're
the worker bees of the zodiac and they are Their
motto is, I'm a perfectionist at heart who loves to
improve things. So they get a bad rap sometimes virgos
do because they really they just want to. They see
(31:13):
all the little details of things that need fixed. They're
very you know, laser focused, and that just they can't
help it, and and one little thing will stand out
and they want to they want to fix it, and
it's just to make things better. So Virgos are the
sign of service, so practical service. So a lot of
them go into counseling, medical fields, social work, you know,
(31:33):
helping people in some way, you know, very organized, very practical,
down to earth. And then we have Libra. Libra is peaceful, artistic, creative,
very intelligent as well because Libra is air. But Libra
is the peacemaker, you know. They rule the relationship house
(31:53):
and astrology. So Libras are known to like to be
in love and to have a partner, and so their
keyword is I'm a person who likes to be in relationships.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
That's their motto.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
They like fairness, justice, what you know, doing what's right.
They're very intellectual, but they're also creative and artistic and
have a little bit of a sensitive side to them.
So they have both that they do so they're learning
to balance. They're the scales in the zodiac. They're always
balancing their mind and their emotions and every decision. You know,
(32:24):
they can be a little bit indecisive because they're trying
to get that middle equilibrium. And it's important that they
have peaceful relationships because they don't like conflict, and they
can tend to be people pleaser attimes because they don't
want to upset anyone, to hurt anyone's feelings. And so
Libra they're the sign of relationships and harmony. And then
(32:46):
we have Scorpio. Scorpio is water. They're an very intense sign.
I call them the healer archetype. They're intense, deep, secretive, passionate,
very resilient, a little bit uh, you know, truthful, jealous, loyal, psychic,
very private, very transformative, competitive, self reliant and and intuitive,
(33:10):
very determined people. Uh. Their motto is ion private, secretive
and intense. So Scorpio is is very much a healer.
They often you know, work in business and finance and
other people with other people's money, but they also go
into you know, detective work, research, psychology, you know, astrology,
(33:33):
you know, all these metaphysical topics are very interesting to
a Scorpio because they love to figure out what makes
people the way they are, and they're they're able to
dig deep and they need depth and intimacy in their life.
They're not they're very into depth. They don't like superficiality
and things like that, so they're known to cut people
(33:55):
off if they don't trust them. You know, they're very
self protective. They take them a while to trust people
and to forgive if you hurt them so, but if
they trust you, they're very loyal. And then we have Sagittarius,
which is the traveler, and they are the free spirit, positive, optimistic, hopeful, cheerful, zealous, adventurous,
(34:17):
freedom loving. They love knowledge, they love to learn, very intelligent, outspoken.
Their motto is I want to be able to do
what I want to do at a moment's notice. So
they love to you know, short journeys, long journeys, travel,
they love to explore. They have a very positive energy.
They're the kind of people that see the glasses half full,
(34:37):
not half empty. And they love to feel free. So
commitment can be hard for them at times unless they
have a partner that allows them a lot of independence
because they don't want to feel like they're being controlled.
They like to feel like they can come and go
as they want, and they're you know, go out, get outdoors,
go on a trip with some friends.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
They love knowledge.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
They're very strong in their beliefs, so they're very straightforward
and honest people because they're fire. So they'll tell you,
you know, what they believe in and what they think
about things, which is people you know, respect that about
Sage's and they can do it in a kind way
where in areas does it in a more forceful, you know,
kind of intense way. Sag just do it in a fun,
(35:21):
loving way, and so people resonate with them. And then
we have Capricorn. Capricorn is the achiever archetype. They're they're responsible, productive,
they're also very hard working. They're earth they roll career,
they roll hard work, they roll fatherly energy success. They
also can be a little they're very patient, why serious,
(35:43):
They can be a little bit overly responsible even in
a young age. The Capricorns tell me that they feel
like they're older than other people, like they feel more mature.
So one of the things I notice, I have a
lot of Capricorns in my life. My dad, my brother,
and my grandfather all Capricorn, my best friend, and they
are super responsible and they really care about doing a
(36:04):
good job at work and helping people, being able to
provide for the people they care about. And their motto
is I feel super responsible from a young.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Age, you know.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
That's what Capricorns often tell me in a sense of duty,
that they have to work hard and to be successful
and have their goals. You know, they have a lot
of goals that they want to do. It's hard for
them to retire. They're usually always working or doing something,
you know, even on the side, so they don't ever
really retire, you know. Is what Capricorn's what I've noticed.
(36:36):
And then Aquarius as the rebel. Aquarius's words are freedom, loving, rebellious, independent,
non traditional, friendly, eccentric, unique, creative, intelligent, knowledgeable, open minded,
little bit, restless, curious, humanitarian.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Their motto is I.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Like to be free so they like to feel free.
They like unconventional people. They're drawn to unique, non traditional ideas,
ways of doing things that are innovative. There are a
lot of them, you know, go into humanitarian work, but
they also go into science, technology, computers, right, all these things, astrology,
(37:17):
even mathematics, you know, engineering, you know, all those kind
of fields because they are air and they are very
intelligent people. And then we have the last sign of
the zodiac, which is Pisces. Pisces is the dreamer, They're
the mystic, they're the spiritual one. They are very compassionate
(37:39):
and kind, but they also lack boundaries.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
Between themselves and others.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
They're mystical, they're spiritual, they're escapists, dreamy, intuitive, they are
very idealistic and romantic and artistic people. So they're they're
very sensitive. So their moutoi is I'm highly sensitive person
and can feel other people's pain. So they really do
have to learn boundaries because they absorb all of the
(38:05):
energies going on in their environment, and they have to
learn to self protect because unlike the other water signs,
I always this is how I teach people about Pisces
is that cancer has the hard crabshell that it can
put up to protect its soft interior. And then Scorpio
has the sting of a scorpion that can kill or
(38:25):
protect itself if it's threatened. But a Pisces or two
fish that are just flapping in the water with no protection.
So they're all water signs, but Pisces is the most
vulnerable because they have to learn to say no, and
they have to learn if someone's not healthy for them,
you know, not to get with unhealthy people or unhealthy habits,
(38:48):
and learning to have boundaries to protect themselves and others.
And they can still be kind, but they have to
learn that sometimes they can't save everyone. They like to
help people and be a rescuer, and sometimes they get
into unhealthy relationships. But they also can be very musical
(39:09):
and artistic and creative. So those are the twelve signs
in a gist real quick of their key words and
their key energies.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
And you nailed me with the Capricorn. I mean, for
a good part of my life. I've actually been a
little softened in the last twenty years or so, but
you nailed me. But a funny story, I had a
friend who was a Virgo and she was one hundred
percent virgo. And she literally would walk around with a
dust rag, a duster and a sponge and if anything
(39:40):
was touched out of place or you know, showed any
signs of any kind of being out of what, she
would clean it immediately. She could just just passionately clean everything,
clean everything.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
Yes, yes, they Virgos like to clean when they get
stressed too. Yeah, because it's a sense of control, and
they it's a sense of them to have structure an
organization because they are they like to make things. They
can be neat freaks, that's one thing. And they can
be a little bit of hypochondriacs.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
You know.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
They worry about their health. They worry about gernks.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
You know, and dust and all those things.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
You know.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
They like things clean and in its place. You know,
I'm a virgo. So when I all come through the
house and if a picture's crooked, it drives me crazy.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
I have to go fix it.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
And it's like these little little bit of obsessive compulsive
trade just a little bit, you know, because it will
bother me. Or if a chair isn't a certain way,
it's like messy, I'm on it, looking you.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
Know, organized, you know, So I have a little bit
of that me too.
Speaker 1 (40:42):

Speaker 1 (43:37):
Back on Destination Unlimited My guests this week, Carmen Turner
shot her new book Your Astrological Energy, Maximize the Power
of your Birth Chart. Carmen, are there signs that are
more intuitive than others?
Speaker 2 (43:54):
That's a great question. So this is I was thinking
about this recently. So I always say that all twelve
signs have intuition. It just comes in different ways. But
traditionally the water signs or people that have strong water
placements in their chart, they are known, you know, to
(44:16):
be more intuitive because of the water, right, because water
is emotion in nature. Water in the birth chart is
our intuition. You know, it's that moon energy. But you
know because you know, for instance, you're a Capricorn, I'm
a Virgo, but you're a cancer rising, which is water
and it's your chart reelers the moon, so you you know,
(44:39):
sun sign wise, they don't say Capricorns are not always
known as the most intuitive, but cancer is they're the
most intuitive signs. So you have everyone has something in
their birth chart that they can tap into. But traditionally
the I believe you know that the Earth, the earth
and water signs are very intuitive, where the fire signs
(45:02):
are intuitive in a different way. They're more reactive, you know,
they they feel, they think, they act. Where the water signs,
we really absorb it and we dwell on it, right
and and then the earth signs, we you know, water
runs on the Earth, so we also when we connect
with nature, Earth signs can be very intuitive. Air signs
(45:25):
can be very intuitive when they connect with the mind,
you know, with their thoughts. So that's kind of how
I explained it that all twelve signs have have intuition
in a different type of way.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
Absolutely, is there a left brain right brain correlation between
the signs.
Speaker 2 (45:45):
Well kind of, you know, we we call it, you know, modalities.
And then we even have you know, feminine masculine energy.
Every sign is either feminine or masculine energy or cardinal
fixed or mutable. And so I feel like that kind
of has to do with the right brain left brain.
(46:05):
So if you think of you know, when I was
describing the different traits of each sign, you could kind
of feel if it was right or left brain, you
know what I mean, Like Aquarius would be more left brain,
where Cancer would be more right brain, or Leo would
be more right brain. You know, based on their personality traits,
(46:26):
you could see you know, the artistic creative thing of
Pisces right or Virgo. You know, they could be more
you know, right brain because they overthink. A Gemini, you know,
they're all about thinking and they can overthink as well.
So yes, you can see it play out if a
sign has more of the right brain left brain. Some signs,
(46:47):
you know, some people based on your chart, you can
have a good balance of both. You know, you can
have a good balance of both the right brain left
brain gifts. I've seen that too, where someone's very much
like an engineer, a computer scientists, you know, a hacker,
you know, like really good at math and all these things,
and then they can paint and draw people just like
they look. You know, they have this right brain creativity
(47:09):
as well.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
How does astrology show our past lifetimes and soul mission?
Speaker 2 (47:15):
Yes, so the biggest thing in astrology is to know
what where you've came from in your past lives and
what you've already learned and what your your past life
you know, and karma is your your you know, ancestral
history as well. Is the South node of the moon.
The South node is where we came from, and it's
(47:36):
what our soul has already mastered. But we're coming this
lifetime to master the North node of the moon, which
looks like a you know, headphones, like a horseshoe, and
whatever sign that's in is the sign we have to
start getting comfortable with. And we're learning to balance the
energies of our past energy and then where our soul
(47:58):
is meant to embrace. And we don't feel comfortable with
the North node energy or area of life.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
Because it's unknown to us.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
It's it doesn't feel comfortable going in that direction. And
that's why life and Saturn, the plant Saturn trigger events
to get us into the North node naturally. And so yes, absolutely,
and so if you want to know what your soul
chose to learn in your sole mission, you want to
(48:27):
look at what sign is the north node in your
chart in and what house it's in, because that's the
area of life. You're going to express that energy in
and you have to get comfortable with that sign. So
I always tell people, you know, when you get my book,
you're astrological energy.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
If you have the north.
Speaker 2 (48:43):
Node in Scorpio, you need to read the Scorpio chapter
in depth and get comfortable with that energy. Or if
your north node is Leo, you need to read about
the Leo energy. And then you can only and look
up your South node sign and read about it because
you're likely to resonate with it and you're gonna be
like wow, because it's who you are and your soul.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
But we don't.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
Really know this, you know, when we're when we when
we're born, we don't start even thinking about our destiny
until after that first Saturn return, after age thirty, we
start having all these changes happen. Are like, why why
did this happen to me?
Speaker 3 (49:20):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (49:20):
I had a baby, I got married, I changed my job,
you know, all during the sat In return, and all
of that happened to get you awakened so you could
start realizing you're here for a purpose. You know. One
of the most common questions I'm asked when I do
astrology counseling with people is what is my destiny? What
is my soul mission? Everyone asked me that, and I
(49:43):
always look at the nodes and I go into depth
with that for them to help them.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
What are some key insights you would like the audience
to know about astrology that they might not know.
Speaker 2 (49:55):
So one thing is that astrology is actually how modern
medicine was even created. So every sign has a vulnerable
body area, so you know, it's it's just basic astrology.
And in old medical books, you know, Hippocrates said that
(50:16):
a physician that doesn't have a knowledge of astrology is
not a physician but a fool. And in all medical
books you'll see the body of a person, you know,
and you'll see all of the twelve symbols of the
signs on the body area that they rule. And that
is how medicine was created because the physician started noticing
(50:37):
that certain people, certain sun signs, were getting certain health ailments.
Like aries they rolled the head, face and brain. They're
known to get migraines. Taurus rules the throat, the thyroid,
the neck and shoulders. That's where they hold their tension
and so they that's their vulnerable area when they get stressed.
(50:59):
Virgal rule the digestive system, the stomach, and they're known
to get nauseous and get sick to their stomach, get
ulcers when they over when they get too much stress.
So every every sign has a part of the body
that they rule that that is vulnerable. That's like astrology
one O one. There's a lot more that goes into it,
(51:20):
and it's called medical astrology. You can spend a whole
lifetime studying it just itself. It's very complex, but all
you need to know is the basics. Like if you're
a Leo, Leo rules the heart, Capricorn rolls the knees,
the joints, the skin.
Speaker 3 (51:35):
Okay, trying to think.
Speaker 2 (51:38):
Sagittarius rules the liver, the the hips, the sciatic nerve.
And my mother's a sage and she has horrible siatic
nerve issues in her back and her leg you know
that shoots down. And my uncle same thing. He's a
Saggy he has the same thing. So you'll see the
different vulnerable areas. You know, I'm a Virgo and I
(51:59):
can say absolutely when I get stressed or worried or
anticipate something or things are hard, it goes straight to
my stomach.
Speaker 1 (52:07):
You know what I mean, as a Capricorn, I have
to have my left knee replaced last year.
Speaker 3 (52:14):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
It is so interesting. My brother, you know, he's a Capricorn.
He was in high school playing basketball his senior year
and tours acl had to have knee surgery and he.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
Was so devastated over that.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
And so and then I have a friend, my best friend,
she's got two knee issues. Her knees and her joints
hurt real bad. And also, like shingles, unexpected skin stuff.
A lot of Capricorns get that as well, because it's
just you know, it's this their vulnerable area.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
You know, it's interesting.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
Yeah, what would you like readers to take away from
your astrological energy?
Speaker 2 (52:50):
Oh, I would love for them just to to grab
my books so they can learn more about themselves than others.
You know, I wrote this book in a very simple
way so anyone can read it and understand it. You know,
you don't have to be an astrologer to read my book.
And I want I want people to get to know
themselves better and others better, because that just helps the world.
(53:12):
It helps us when we get along with people and
we realize, okay, we're not a victim. They're not, you know,
doing this because they don't like me. This is their personality,
so it helped. Astrology can help you adapt and understand
what makes other people act the way they do. And
when you start realizing that, you'll you'll be able to
even pick up people's signs. You know, people tell me
(53:35):
I can guess people's signs now that they learned astrology
for me, or you know, went to my classes. Because
it's all energy, you know, you can feel if someone
is really intense and fiery, you know when they walk
in the room, or if they're peaceful and emotional or
calm and ground it right, you can feel the elements,
the four elements fire, air, earth, and water in someone's
(53:58):
energy field, right, and that's their chart. That's how we
express ourselves. So I want people to learn the basics
and realize that astrology is a powerful tool of self awareness.
And I believe that astrology can be used to help
us heal, transform and become more resilient, and that is key.
Speaker 3 (54:17):
So it's really a psychological.
Speaker 2 (54:19):
Tool that I am passionate about. So I would love
people to get it, to read it and understand it
and get to know it better.
Speaker 1 (54:27):
And when you grab her book, do it with two
hands because it's huge.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
It's good, just one.
Speaker 9 (54:33):
I know.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
I'm like, wow that I actually wrote that. Well, I
know it was thick, but I didn't know it's it'd
be that big.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
