Speaker 1 (00:05):
You're watching Diecast Breakdown with Chuck Ellis, David Johns, and
Mark mccontfield. So sit back, scrap in.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
And hang on.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
The breakdown starts.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
No, well, hey, they're folks. Chuck here and welcome to
a special live edition of die Cast Breakdown. You're so
glad you're here. There are some maniacs already tearing it
up in the chat, and if you want to join them,
you can get down there in YouTube or on Instagram.

(00:48):
I guess you could do it on Facebook Live too.
Occasionally somebody will pop in there and say hi. But yeah,
we don't get a lot of action over there, but
we put the message out there anyway because Facebook people
need diecast news as well. But you're here, you're getting
news however you're getting it, and you know, if you've
stumbled a Crosses, we hope you give us a subscribe
and follow along because we got a lot of tiny

(01:10):
cars in this world, and we're going to talk about
all of them before the show.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Is there, every single one of them.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Every single one of them, and I'm not going to
be doing it alone. I'm going to be doing it
with my co host, colleague, friend, co co conspirator, and part
time roommate mister David John's David, How the heck are you?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
No place? I would rather be on Earth or in time?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
I agree, even if I was Christopher Reeven that somewhere
in time movie. But we're here. The time is now,
the places the Internet, and we are joined by two
very special guest co hosts because Mark is not here
and it takes two people to replace him, Eric aka

(01:55):
Honest die Casts and Pa of Mad Visions. Gentlemen, welcome
to the show.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Thank you, thanks for having us.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Thanks for always having me. Love to be here.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
The door is always open because both of you pay
for this show. They are patrons, which you can also be.
Like these fine people here, I have not added our
newest patron. He is Beeps per Minute at the associate
producer level. So thank you beeps per minute, whoever you
are for joining us over at Patreon, which you can
visit by going to diecast breakdown dot com and clicking

(02:25):
on the Patreon link. Or you can support us right
here on YouTube by hitting the little join button. That
is a great way to help us keep the lights
on around here. Because all of the prices for all
the stuff that I use went up twenty percent for
some reason.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
So we'll talk about it.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
We'll talk all about it, because this is going to
become an economics podcast. So yeah, before we get into that, though, gentlemen,
I must ask what is exciting you in the world
of die Cast and David we will start with you.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Well, I think what rather than what's exciting me? I
do have some things. Can we talk about maybe some
some discussion stuff before we kind of reveal our picks
and our favorite stuff. Sure, let's do that because I
want to get these guys opinion while we've.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Got them all right, hot take time.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Here's my I'm gonna checking out and I'm going to
reserve my opinion for after I hear you guys. So
I'm putting you guys both in the hot seat, all
three of y'all. Let's start off with now that we've
all had a little bit of time to see and
digest Ferrari and Hot Wheels, Uh, welcoming them back. I'm

(03:43):
really curious, guys, are we are we feeling like the
Ferrari that are that are popping out online and being released?
Are they meeting the expectations that die cast collectors had.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Pia go.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
I say, yes they are. They've been doing a really
good job with the cast things themselves, like you know
that forty nine having mirrors, but I think a lot
of people can overlook fat. But like their premium line,
I think it's got a lot of people excited. Like
the La Ferrari was the very last Ferrari made and

(04:19):
now they're bringing it back with proportioned wheels instead of
like the staggered look. And it also has mirrors on
it too, so I'm very excited for that. And the
fifty has been retooled. It looks a lot crisp, crispier
and clean. And then there's that transport. That transport is amazing.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
The transport is sick. I love that thing.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Yeah we have I don't want to put chuck on
the spot. Do we have full the picks?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Look at these? Okay, boom, look at this photograph.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
There's there's the transport you're talking about, pa Ye, kind
of walk us through the cars that you know and
the ones that you've you've mentioned so far, so we
can look at it as you're talking.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Okay, So the transport is the one in the back
obviously with the big truck, and that one actually is
funny because we all debated whether.

Speaker 6 (05:07):
That was gonna be an elite six to four.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Or transport premium line, and I think the final census
is that it's.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
Going to be a transport premium line.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
And then the La Ferrari's the one right in front
of it. That one is hard to see in the picture,
but you can see. It's got mirrors, and the way
they did it too is really nice.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
It sticks out. It's not like.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
All the other ones where it's kind of part of
the body line or part of the body. This actually
sticks out like the actual mirror. So that one's going
to be a hot one. And the fifty is the
one right in front of that one. That one, I
think they did a great job redoing that.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Did that one have Did you say that that one
had different sized wheels front and back before that retooling?

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Yeah, okay, before I had the big rear wheel and
then like a ten millimeter front or something like that.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
But now they're ten mils all the way around.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
So we've seen F forty on the other one on
the back there.

Speaker 6 (06:09):
Yeah, that one is the F forty.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
No, some people like us, some people hate it because
of just the way the front end kind of looks
how big the headlight is and with no mirrors.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
But I think overall, for premium you know, dollar premium casting,
I think they did pretty good on it.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
And then I forgot what this other one is called
one in front of it, But they did a good job.
That's the main line, which actually I think they did
a better, way better job with that.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
Than the F forty.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
But yeah, all that was at on display at the
Legends tour, so it's pretty cool to see them in person.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah that I was at that Legends tour as well
and got the CPA. That was really cool. I think
the one in the foreground, again, I don't remember what
it is either because I don't follow for already that closely.
Somebody in the chat is probably screaming what it is
right now.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
It's it's not a two ninety six, is it.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Yeah, nobody in the chat has said yet, so I'm
not sure. But what's cool about it. My point is
that that roof is part of the plastic. They just
textured the plastic for the glass so that it looks
like it's opaque, which is pretty cool. So it's not
it's not a Tampa it's not a decal, it's not paint.

(07:29):
It's just the same plastic. They just bumped it to
the point that no light shines are almost no light
shines through. It's a little bit translucent, but it's a
very clever trick.

Speaker 7 (07:41):
Infamous Cargo coming through in the clutch like he usually does.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
SF ninety.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Thank you, Infamous Cargo, Derek, Derek, what are your What
are your thoughts?

Speaker 7 (07:50):
Initially, as much as I would hate to admit it,
because everybody knows how I feel about you know, fomo
and hype and all that stuff, I think Hot Wheels
is really killing it, To be honest, I can't really
ask for more, especially if you're looking at this from
a customizer perspective. As mentioned, all of these castings coming

(08:11):
with ten ten set up versus ten twelve as they
as they used to in previous years. So from a
collector aspect, the proportion is much better, the castings are
much better quality. But also from a customizer aspect, these
are going to be a heck of a lot easier
to customize.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
So bravoj Wheels.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
So does the F forty have the opening? It does
not cover?

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Okay, No, it's a completely different casting from the old school,
in which I personally liked a lot better. But that's
probably my old man yells at cloud nostalgia working against me.
I do think that the older casting had a better
proportionality to it than this one. But the one that

(08:55):
really annoys me is the Daytona in the foreground, because
the original one that they had was a very clean casting.
I liked that one a lot of I did a
custom of that one for our friend JDC and his wife.
They did a Ferrari custom build and I gave her

(09:17):
that there's a video of it somewhere, but it's a
really clean casting. And this one I liked that they
were trying to make it lensed because they were trying
clearly to make David John's by mainlines.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
Again.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
They were like, maybe if we make it look like
we put lensed headlamps in there, he'll buy it. And
I just I don't know. Maybe it's the way it's painted.
It just looks sloppy. You know. It doesn't sit right
with me, but that's okay. They didn't ask me. The
two point fifty somebody brought up on the transport that thing.

(09:54):
I yeah, give me more of that. Because both of
those looked fantastic in person, absolutely brilliant move. And if
that's a Team Transport, that's going to be impossible to
find because that thing is just it's gorgeous and they
did a fantastic job on it. I'm sure it's based

(10:15):
on a real car or real transporter, and it's probably
not true one sixty four, but it looks close. It
looks like it could be one sixty four scale.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Yeah. Yeah, and that's what.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Made me think it might be elite, because you know,
some of the Team Transport vehicles are definitely like closer
to h O scale than they are to one sixty four.
But you know, I get why they do that, so I.

Speaker 7 (10:40):
Got I got to say that transport is absolutely fantastic.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Yeah, that reminds me that Shukoh Porsche Transport Lot.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Yeah, I have one of those. Actually, my two year
old just broke it cool.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Yeah, as they should.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
As they should, but trying to be less precious with
my things and when he wants to look at things,
I try to get them down. And the back doors
on those things are held on with glue. The hinge
is glued on. Like that's not ideal, Like an interesting move. Yeah, Yeah,
interesting move, especially considering the hinges metal and the door

(11:20):
is plastic. But anyway, that's neither here nor there anyway,
So yeah, those are.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Those things, don't we go ahead?

Speaker 2 (11:30):
I was just gonna say. Also, at the Legius Tour,
here's the winner. Here's a photo I took of the winner,
which is some kind of Volkswagen. I'm not sure. It's
a portion of nine fourteen underneath all of that, which
is pretty wild considering if you know what a regular
nine to fourteen looks like. A cool story own it's

(11:53):
owned by a guy in Okalla, which is about an
hour north of Tampa where this event was held, and
he bought the car brand new in seventy four, wrecked
it in seventy five, and it's been the last fifty
some years, fifty ish years rebuilding this bad boy and
put a small block three twenty seven V eight in

(12:15):
the back of it, and did he claims all of
the work in himself. So custom body works, custom engines,
ton of fabrication and great choice, I think, I mean personally,
I think it's one that would very easily be doable
as a hot wheels mainline casting. So you know, there

(12:38):
was this one show stealer truck that was like, it
was massive. It was a quad cab, square body with
these huge tires on it and actually had an elevator.
It used like hydraulics to lift you up on the
running boards to the truck. And everybody was wowing over
that thing, which was great, except I was like, well,
there's no way they're going to be able to make

(12:59):
that into a mainline casting monster truck maybe, but not
a mainline casting.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
So took for the uninitiated or new collectors, younger collectors
in the hobby, and anybody can chime in, what does
it mean for the guy that gets selected who wins
a Legend Tour? What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (13:17):
So the Legends Tour is an event that happens all
over the world once a year in locations that change
throughout the year, hosted by Hot Wheels. So Hot Wheels
has these events. They are free to enter. They do
have limited seating and you do have to be like selected,
but they let a lot of people into this thing

(13:39):
because they're smart marketers. They know that they want everybody
to show up and see the cars. And so you
show up, you look at the cars. It's usually about
four hours and they have some of the real world
Hot Wheels cars like the twin Mill and the d
R two. We're there and you know, you can walk around,

(14:03):
you can talk to uh people from Hot Wheels, Brian
Benedict and uh Charlie, Charlie Angelo Angelo. I always I
always get the consonants flipped around in my head when
I'm trying to remember his last name. We're there. It's

(14:24):
great to see Charlie again. Hoping to have him on
the show soon and UH talk to him about the
Doughnut Drifter of course and also the Roxy because those
are two very different designs. Yeah, and so it just
shows the multi talented nature of him. But yeah, so
you wander around. They're usually in a Walmart parking lot,

(14:46):
and if you're in the right place at the right time,
you can go viral on your YouTube channel by filming
a fistfight that happens at one of the mini dump bins.
That happens, and.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
So for the guy that the guy that had the
nine to fourteen, YEP, what I was trying to get
at is if you do win and your car is chosen, uh,
then Hot Wheels makes it into a Hot Wheels correct?
Is that the deal.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Yes, not quite.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Kind of except except that your your finalist.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Okay, yeah, your finalist because they got to they have
what like sixteen tours, you know, throughout the United States,
got throughout the year, and then at the end they
picked they pick a winner through every tour and then
I think at the end that's like the final.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
There's like an event Nelson Gundo and they do the
big unveiling and yeah, cool cool. Then they've had some
some you know, very popular castings come out of that.
So most recently the Texas Toot became a main line,
and that is one of these little K trucks placed

(15:54):
on top of Monster truck wheels, and that actually worked
because those structures so small, they could do it in
something that was pretty close to one sixth before and
you know how it work.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
But so what if we change gears a little? Because
I'm curious, all four of us here on camera from
time to time order stuff online. And I know one
guy they're going to show some one to eighteen stuff
gets this stuff definitely online, so.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
We banned him. So let's pull up.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
This tweet from or this post from tarmac concerning something
that you know we've all seen in the news. Let's
kind of get we'll do a quick discussion on it
because we've got a lot to get through.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
I've really enjoyed doing this show with you guys, but
I'm just kidding, all right, welcome, If not the news, Well,
now now here's the politics.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
And we're going to stay away from the politics. We're
talking about the impact on us as collectors. We're not
going to comment on whether or not tariffs or blah
blah blah. We just want to know, are y'all a fan,
are y'all buying international stuff and affected by the tariffs?
And is that gonna Is it blown out of proportion
or are we actually seeing an effect on our buying habits.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
And before we get into that, for the listening audience,
we are seeing a post from Tarmac Works on their
Instagram account that says, due to the recent tariff by
the US and the uncertainty surrounding the charges for goods
from Hong Kong, we have decided to temporarily suspend the
shipping of our web store orders to the US. We
hope the situation won't be changed soon so that we
can get back to normal. So so I'll say that

(17:37):
I've I've elevated some of my buying because I don't
know if especially some of the weirder like obscure Southeast
Asian brands, because I don't know when they're gonna be
available again for a reasonable price. And we'll actually get

(17:58):
to that in a little bit when we come to
my news and reviews part. But yeah, it certainly made
me think about like shifting the priority of the vehicles
that I want to buy, you know, trying to get
a few now just in case. You know, not that

(18:19):
I need to stockpile diecast cards for the lean times,
but you know, the ones that I've been thinking about
doing and going now, I'll wait till later. I'm reconsidering,
you know, I might need to buy these now because
you know, even if the tariffs come back, you know,
go away. You know, prices seem to have a habit
of staying high after after the supply change changes again.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
So I see the chat chiming in a lot of
people are Some people say it it's not affecting them
at all. But some people are saying, yeah, I've had
orders with international marketing sites. Cancel on me pre orders,
Derek Pia, is this going to change anything? About the
way you collect cast.

Speaker 6 (19:03):
Go ahead, Derek.

Speaker 7 (19:05):
Well, fortunately, a majority of my one eighteens because for
those that don't know, I've caught in the one eighteen
bug for the past couple of months, and many of
those are placed overseas. Fortunately it hasn't affected me too
much because most of those are I don't really know
if this market really affects used items, like if you're

(19:27):
buying a used item, because most of mine are used
and I haven't noticed any any difference or markup. But
I can see where like Tarmac, they're coming out with
new products they're distributing to stores and retailers in the US,
that yeah, that those terroriffs can affect them. So far,
it hasn't affected me yet. But I see the frustration

(19:47):
and I see people having problems around the community, and
it's just frustrating and it is worrying because what are
a lot of these US distributors gonna end up doing.
Are they going to be taking advantage of this or
are they going to be thinking, well, since people are
going to have to pay one to whatever one hundred

(20:09):
percent markup because of the tariff, and that's going to
affect the price. That means we get to make more
money because.

Speaker 5 (20:15):
We're going to mark it up to that.

Speaker 7 (20:16):
So it kind of it kind of leaves a lot
of gray space in the thought of how it's going
to affect us in the US.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Well down to Diecast's prices of Hot Wheels are going
up where he's at in the Instagram chat. So shout
out to the Instagram crew, which currently is IXO Model
Cars and Cartoons. So, hi, famous brands, thanks for watching.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
All right.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
Yeah, as far as collecting wise, it doesn't really affect
me too much because I mean RLC their prices went up.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Two dollars, you know, per order. Now. I can't remember
if that happened before war or after the terrorists.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
I want to say it was before, but I mean
that's the only increase in price as of right now.
I haven't really ordered anything, uh, you know, like any
premium brand because you know, I love my Hot Wheels.
I think I'm one of the few in the group
here that loves the Hot Wheels. Still, all you guys
buy him, well yeah, you but you know, we got David.

Speaker 6 (21:25):
He's always into his premium.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Derek has turned his back on the entire scale. Yeah,
he's like one sixty.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
What he likes the thick boys he like.

Speaker 6 (21:39):
I haven't seen any collecting.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Yeah, I'm curious, huh. I guess if a death brought
up won't be affected as well coming out of Malaysia.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Great question, David, that's David number one.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
It's David number one. We have number two. There are
only two Davids that I recognize in this country anyway. Yeah,
I thought back to COVID times, remember when the pigs
were just like empty for like forever, like I literally
the last one. I had to laugh because the last

(22:17):
one on the pegs at my store for like a
long time was a zoom in. I went in one
day and there was one zoom in still in there
that they must have been It must have fallen behind something.
It was really beat up. I ended up buying it
because it was so ratty looking and so terrible. And
I thought of mister Mark mccott, wheel's Sarah McLaughlin short
that gave him the nickname that he doesn't use anymore,

(22:42):
and it made me laugh. But yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Mean I think it was a good, healthy discussion.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Well see, I think it's going to be interesting. It's
really going to affect like Malaysia is not, you know
the Yeah, a lot of the folks that are doing
these diecasts making them in Hong Kong or China, and
that's where the big tariffs are coming from. I think
Malaysia is one of the ones that's in the ten
percent windows. So you know, I would expect hot Wheels

(23:11):
cars to maybe go up to you know, maybe a
buck sixty two bucks in the cheaper areas. But you know, well,
we'll see.

Speaker 7 (23:21):
It's gonna it's gonna be interesting to see where they
go up, where they're really marked up, like O'Reilly's and.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, we've got like an independent toy
store in the mall that sells mainlines for five bucks
each or six bucks each. It's ridiculous. But yeah, uh yeah,
I think it's a little too early to tell. You know, uh,
if any of the any of them, oh cartoon is

(23:49):
made in Vietnam, good to know, Thank you a ficial
cartoons lou So that that's good. That's good for them.
That means that, uh, you know, us collectors of cartooned vehicles, which,
by the way, stick around because on the next live
I will be opening a series five box of cartooned

(24:10):
castings that I got handed to me by Big Lou
himself to use on this show, and I'm very excited
about that. Fresh Also, they're gonna be sending us some
more stuff to do content around, which I'm very excited about.
So big shout out to them. They've been really awesome
working with the creators and the folks down here in
the trenches doing our stuff. So we raise our canpisda

(24:34):
to you. All right, good discussion, let's.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Move all right. So I saw this my buddy, my
buddy Christian who's in the chat by the way, checking
in from all the way from a stony ascent a
pic or yeah, put me onto Hot Wheels collaborating with
Mega Blocks or whatever the partnership is there. It's like

(24:59):
an alternative up to Lego. I guess Kristin Hoppin and
correct me as.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
You Yeah, I've had Megablocks toys. They're they're like an
also ran of Lego.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
These look pretty good and you get you get a
hot Wheels with them for a lot of them, just
to let you know that they're out there. I'm curious
anybody in the chat that is a crossover Lego builder.
These look pretty good. They are really competitively priced, actually
a lot better than the Lego porsches that you see

(25:33):
in Target and all that that can run two three
hundred bucks. I think these are going to be seventy
eighty bucks. Don't look bad at all. What do you
guys think? And we won't hit hit a whole lot
on these. I just want to get some gut reactions.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
So this is the Hotbird, which is pretty a pretty
cool one to do. I think I like these a lot.
Like I've been worried when I heard Megablocks was the
colorator because Megablox has done vehicles in the past, and
basically what they were were like plastic shells shaped like
the vehicles like, they weren't really like bricks like this

(26:05):
looks like it's made with like very few actual specialty
pieces like the windshield and the back windshield and maybe
some other pieces, but the rest of them look like
things that you could use to make something else, which
I like in a Lego or sorry, a what would
you call this a plastic interlocking brick configuration? Uh that's
the marketer and me talking, But yeah, I think it

(26:28):
looks good. You know. I have some additional thoughts but
I'll let p and Derek chime in on that I like.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
Them if you compare to some of the legos that
you know they sell at Target and Stuff and Walmart.
I think it's more detailed than some of them that
they have there. And actually I was gonna post this
up earlier this week, but end up being busy and
then get a chance to post these ones. But I
think it's really cool that it comes with the car

(26:57):
and the fact that it's as detailed as it is.
And I actually I think the only Mega Block one
I have is actually a Pokemon one that I bought
from my daughter. But they they are pretty easy to assemble.
But like Chuck, like Chuck's that he likes his being
able to make other stuff, whereas this is specifically for

(27:18):
the cars, which I really I really like these and
the like that.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
I mean, there's no way that that's like an exclusive deco.
Is there is that a current main line.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
They've done the Holloway, They've done the Hot Bird in
a very similar configuration to that. Yeah, what's curious to
me is like things like that where it is a
license trans am but it's called the hot Bird, Like
it's not.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
Right.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
So I'm curious it's not to band it. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
So all right, Derek, what do you think any any
Lego love from you?

Speaker 7 (27:58):
I gotta agree with Jody's comment it looks a lot
less Ape Biddy than Lego. I actually like the way
it looks. It's you know, it's got smooth components to it.
It's really proportionate, a lot of angles, a lot of
really good angles and curvature on it.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
I think it looks really good.

Speaker 7 (28:16):
I'm actually pretty excited about these.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Cool cool cool all right.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
Yeah, I'm gonna jump ahead real quick because I'm curious
about this. I wish I had more info, and maybe
somebody in the chat does. But so, these are done
by Megablocks. This also came out recently and it's currently
sold out on the Hot Wheels shelf or Hot Wheels
online store. And I thought it was a very nice

(28:42):
looking setup. Now it's called the matel Brick Shop, which
does not have Lego or Megablox branding on it. I'm
going to assume, because they've worked with Megablocks in the past,
that this was done through their collaboration.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
Nobody referenced in the chat. Uh one of y'all look
at the comments. While Chuck is talking, we'll see so.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Very cool model kit comes with alternative wheel covers that
you could have, comes with a little bitty very nice
that's the opening goal wing version of the Hot Whelks.
So that's like the RLC one sixty four scale in

(29:25):
there too, which is very cool. So it was one
hundred and twenty bucks and I guess I missed it
unless it's one of those things where it hasn't come
live yet. But it's a very cool looking setup, I
you know. And it's an actual scale too, which I
think is interesting. It says it's one twelfth scale, which yeah,

(29:48):
that's a that's a pretty big scale. That's bigger than
even Derek's Thick Boys.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
So let's keep referencing that, all right, So are we
we good to move on so we can get to
everybody's favorites.

Speaker 6 (30:03):
Sure.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
The last thing that we had, just real quick thanks
to Ministry of die Cast pictures from the Hot Wheels
Japan convention. If you guys are interested, yet more skylines,
and these are I guess they are the show exclusives,
real quickly, anybody got any thoughts on that? To me,

(30:24):
it's a.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
There are thirty four.

Speaker 7 (30:27):
Yeah, I can't wait until the copy water slides come.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
Out so we can just make them.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
There you go, just saying the tearf.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Fuster love trotter, Jay Goldenberg says, and supporter of this channel.
By the way, so you know most bricks are made
in the same Chinese factory. It's Lego. My son buys
several of the Lego and I got friends that are
about sixty percent less than Lego. That makes sense. I've
got I bought that Volkswagen Bug one that the teal
Volkswagen Bug that they did a while back off. Ali
expressed it was a knockoff and it looked exactly the

(30:57):
same as the Lego Kid, down to photo copied versions
of the instructions.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
But yeah, and just as a PSA everybody, the plural
of Lego is Lego.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
M there you go, because Lego is not the actual
name of the product. Lego is the name of the brand.
The product itself is called something else, like they're called
bricks or blocks or something whatever.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
But yeah, so all right, well we've made the halfway
point in the show. Should we get to the specific
cars that are exciting us in the hobby?

Speaker 4 (31:33):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Why not?

Speaker 6 (31:34):
Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (31:35):
All right, Pea, what do you got for us?

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Okay, So the first one is a Honda S two
thousand that's gonna be coming in a team transport from
what I've been reading as a team transport. But it's
a redesigned Honda S two thousand model where Riosada has,
you know, his S two thousand has a bunch of
body kits and hood I think it's got hoots, got

(32:01):
hood vents, good vent and then a roof a roof
vent which never understood that. But this is a clean
AP two.

Speaker 6 (32:10):
I think it's a P two. Might looks like AP
one actually, but.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
It's a clean S two thousand uh more factory looking
and with me, I love collecting S two thousands. I
have a lot of the two thousand variations, and this
is gonna be one that can be added to my
cluestion eventually.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Does look nice.

Speaker 7 (32:32):
I'm sorry, but that fort nine nine P I'm not
a HyperCard guy, but man, that looks good.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Stay on topic, Derek, I'm.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
Sorry, I just got to throw that out there.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
I had to include both because I wasn't sure which
one I was gonna talk about. But yeah, the S
two thousand makes sense now.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
So do we have any idea pa with the interior?
Do we are we gonna get anything more than just
like a red gear stick that matches the seats? Is
that is that a premium that we're looking at?

Speaker 6 (32:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (32:59):
Yeah, I say at being premium, there probably won't be
anything on the interior other than red.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Okay, pull it back up, Chuck, because that thing looks
it looks really good. And I do remember a gold
Derek check me gold RLC S two thousand maybe yep,
the Reusado one yeah yeah, and that one, Yeah, that
was definitely a lot more modified. I love this clean version, guys.

(33:25):
That looks really well done. And to me, I don't
know why, but the added detail of like the black
trim around the tail lamp making it pop instead of
just you know, red orange and white, that looks really
really good. I don't know what it is about this one.
Maybe it's a black and white. It's simple, it's just

(33:47):
really effective. I love this car.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
I agree, David, and Uh.

Speaker 7 (33:51):
One thing I find interesting is that is that matchbox
and how Wills have both now done a convertible version
of the S two thousand, Chuck.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
Is it going in the Chuck collection?

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Probably if I come across it, like, I think the
S two thousand is a cool car. I know very
little about it other than that V Tech just kicked
in yet, but I knew somebody that had one, and
I didn't like him very much, but it is a
cool car. He actually he went to trade it in

(34:26):
on a new Mustang and this was in like two
thousand and ten, two thousand and nine. Uh, and he
got a brand new Ford Mustang, traded his S two
thousand in and then the next day went back and said,
I made a mistake. I want the S two thousand back.
And I was like, that was a very expensive mistake
to make.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Well, we tend to do that.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
We do tend to do that. So yeah, So if
you have an S two thousand and you're thinking of
trading it in on a two thousand and nine Ford Mustang,
don't do.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
It, he'd Chuck's warning.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
It's a very specific warning.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
All right, what's your next mad vision for this list?

Speaker 4 (35:03):
WHOA, Okay, my next one is the RLLC and this
is uh blue twenty two b in President.

Speaker 6 (35:16):
Yeah president w r.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
X S T I yes, correct, Yes, Blue and gold
can't can't go wrong.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Yeah, yeah, pull up in just a second. For some reason,
it did not populate on my slides. Guess that's how
this show goes sometimes.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
For those of you listening on the audio right now,
there are four dumb looking males on the screen.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
Hey all right, So, yeah, this is the Blue twenty
two B and uh, this would be an RC drop.

Speaker 6 (35:50):
I don't know when.

Speaker 4 (35:51):
I don't think they specify when that's gonna be dropping yet.
But this one's special because my very first high will
I bought since getting you know, since I think and
stuff was a twenty two BE, a Blue twenty two
BE mainline, So to have an RLLC version of it,
it's gonna be full circle.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
Yeah, you know when that main line came out, that
thing was pretty impactful. That was a hot one to find.
I remember that. Yeah, Derek, what do you what do
you think about that RLC right there?

Speaker 7 (36:19):
I'm super excited for that one. I think the Hot
Wheels twenty two B is is really well done. Don't
believe that casting has mirrors. It doesn't look like it.
It's okay, but yeah, I think this is a fantastic
twist on the very first mainline release of this car,
which was Blue.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
To get it in.

Speaker 7 (36:39):
You know, a very nice RLLC finish, you know, the
monochrome blue, great wheel choice. I'm a huge fan of
those factory rod riders. I think they did a fantastic job.
Like you said, great great full circle.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Love it.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Yep, it just looks right. The profile looks right to me.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Do look very good for hot Wheels r LC, which
I know the bar is different on that than it
is for other brands, but but they do. I think
Brendan has really stepped things up over there lately, like
the last year. I think the new RLC cars especially
have been looking really sharp.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
And yeah, would this be a good time to plug that.
We have an RLC designer on the show coming up
in the very near future.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
We could plug that.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
Consider it plugged all right.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
So make sure you're liking and subscribing because we're getting
people who actually do cool things on the show again.
And that was terrible. We have lots of people that
do cool things on the show every week.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
We just started three and a half years in.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
We just weard three and a half years in. We
finally got somebody worth watching. No, that's that's awful now
right in the foot we just haven't done. We just
haven't done a brand since the die Cast super Con,
so it's exciting to have a brand back in so
that it will be a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
So you tell us about this third one.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Okay, this last one is a premium f D two
Civic type R. I don't think this is the R
R version because R had a different front bumper.

Speaker 6 (38:18):
Oh yeah, with me being.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
The type our owner, gotta have this, gotta have this,
And I'm just excited that they're actually doing this body
style just because this bar style actually didn't come in America.
Well with the headlights and tail lights, we didn't get
that in America. So I'm excited to get this one
into my type of our collection. And I think they
did pretty good job. This is just you know, prototype obviously,

(38:44):
but I think that the final look, hopefully they do
red because of red, was R R version, But that
one's I don't know my opinion, is gonna be one
of the nicer ones next year or I don't know
if it's gonna be this year next year, but sometime,
you know, in this lineup for premiums, it is gonna
be coming out that we don't know which whish lineup

(39:04):
could be called called car culture or it could be boulevard,
but we'll find out.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
And props to Lamley for sharing these leaks, yes with
everybody a.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Model Car Hall of Fame Content Creator of the Year
runner up, Lamley for providing those photos. Who is it
one again?

Speaker 4 (39:24):
Derek?

Speaker 5 (39:26):
Is it? What's up?

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Who is it that one again?

Speaker 3 (39:29):
This year?

Speaker 2 (39:29):
I can't remember for content Creator of the Year from
old Car Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (39:35):
Oh, I think it was these goons from die cast Breakdown.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
I thinks.

Speaker 5 (39:41):
Freaking goons.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Man. They think they're so special. They got some microphones
and a fancy virtual studio.

Speaker 7 (39:49):
Just to chime in on that, on on that last casting,
just to chime in on it real quick. I actually
owned that car in real life, the Fa five Civic
Civic s I and I wanted to do. That is
the definitely the R R conversion with the front bumper,
the headlights. You can tell by the shape of the headlights.
I am super duper excited for this casting.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
I I I love it.

Speaker 5 (40:10):
I love it, super love it.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Okay, all right, love that that gets a super duper
all right, all right? He left the show, Dang Mike Trump.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
And then there were three.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
All right, for future reference, when Derek's is super duper
get ready.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
That's his uh, that's his bewitched magic spell that.

Speaker 5 (40:36):
He just like.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
I'll start going through my list as we get Derek
ready back in the show.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
There he is, Hey, there he is.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
I was so excited.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Yeah, that was rude, man, You're just like super duper out.
I'm so excited later exactly, I can't wait.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
I've got to go find it, all right, Chuck, if
you can pull up my my list, i'll uh my picks.
I'll hit mine real quick because I want to leave
plenty of time for everybody else. I'm gonna go through
mine pretty cuarly.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Yeah, you got one. They got my attention, all right.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
So this is paras sixty four. Did not know they
were gonna get down with some Chevy Adrian and his
team over at pair of sixty four. This is a
raw chase, which, by the way, is another bit of
news for Para sixty four. I didn't know they did chases.
But check out this O six Silverado cab. What do
y'all think?

Speaker 2 (41:34):
I dig it? I think it's well, I think it's
interesting considering Auto World has two different versions of the
cat Eye right now, Like they've got an extended cab
and they've got a short cab like this, So it's
interesting that they would pick a casting that Auto World
is already doing. Uh. I mean this one has lensed
headlamped and it looks like tail lamps, so it's gonna

(41:57):
be a little more intricate than the Auto World way.
But I gotta say the Auto World one looks fantastic.
You know, I have a couple of them, and I'm
not even a cat Eye guy, but I was just like,
that looks really good, Like it looks like a little
tiny version of the real thing it So, you know,
I love the guys over an Auto World for not
doing lens stuff. They put out some really great looking castings.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
So this, yeah, pair of sixty four and this is
fair sixty four.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
So so yeah, so Para sixty four stepping into the
I don't know off the top of my head if
the Auto World one has mirrors or not. I don't
think it does, but I could be wrong, but those
look like those are separate pieces for the mirrors, which
would make sense because Para does separate pieces for like
the Dodge van that they did. So an interesting poll

(42:49):
pretty Americana for them, which surprises me. But hey, that's
that's great. I like seeing people build stuff from all over.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
Yep, yep, yep. All right, we'll keep on trucking' unintended fully?
What do we got these? So? I saw these on Instagram?
This is just another way all I like to do
is share information. This is a kind of a floating
display with LEDs to highlight the car underneath it. This

(43:18):
is a pretty cool little display. You can find them
on Instagram. I think I've got the name if you
click where. If you pause your screen and zoom in
on the left hand image, you'll see it is a
company called one sixty four low Writers. Give them a
follow on Instagram. Looks like a pretty cool product, and

(43:40):
we'll keep on moving. Not a lot to discuss. I
think what we've gotten next? Maybe from Tarmac works? Yes,
all right, I want one. I want everyone to pick
out one car. I am lusting over the SAB convertible
in red with the tan interior looking really good. This

(44:02):
is your April twenty five pre order, Pia. What's your
favorite out of this group?

Speaker 4 (44:07):
I want to say it's gonna be theal I think
it's a real side body kit from on a foreign z.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
Yep, yep, it looks cool, all right, Honest, I guess
it's not about the money, it's about the cars. Which
one is your favorite?

Speaker 2 (44:21):
Hmmm?

Speaker 3 (44:22):
Boy two from Stuttgart to pick for?

Speaker 5 (44:25):
I know, I know, right, God, what a what a
tough choice.

Speaker 7 (44:28):
I gotta say, I think I actually liked that.

Speaker 5 (44:31):
Cayman g T four better.

Speaker 7 (44:34):
But is that a Mark five super in the blue
right above the ninth then.

Speaker 6 (44:41):
No?

Speaker 2 (44:41):
That is what is it?

Speaker 3 (44:44):
That's foreigner?

Speaker 2 (44:47):
That one?

Speaker 6 (44:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (44:48):
Yeah, I gotta say that looks pretty good.

Speaker 5 (44:50):
But yeah, I'm going with the Cayman.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
Okay, yeah, which one?

Speaker 2 (44:55):
I'm with you on the SAB but at the c
RX is my second choice because you know me, I
love a good eighties angular body style and I'm really
hoping at some point they do a unofficial Jerry Seinfeld
version of this with the black paint, because Jerry on
the show drove a black version of the SOB nine
hundred convertible, so that would be a fun one for

(45:19):
collectors out there. So hint, hint, tarmac works when they
start shipping stuff over here again.

Speaker 3 (45:25):
You go, Felix, the public has spoken, all right, I
think that's my list, guys, all right, everybody else.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
So going back to the tariff discussion, I thought, you know,
I've had my eye on this for a while, and
so this is from YSJ Models and is definitely not licensed.
Thing that's legit super cool, like the the antenna on

(45:54):
it is an actual wire antenna with a spring built
into it. The you know, the the lensed lights on
the top, there's like little like red ones that are
actual lensed pieces that didn't have to be lensed, and
you know lens tail lamps, len's headlamps. It's interesting that

(46:18):
they went with two instead of one, but you know,
two is definitely the more maxed out version of it.
And as a Ghostbusters fan, I think it's a great job.
The only thing they got wrong that I noticed off
the bat is that it had raised white letter tires
on it b F. Goodrich tires in the movie, and
it does not have that on ears. Then maybe maybe

(46:40):
that was they were worried about B F. Goodrich coming
after them and not you know, universal, But it's a
good looking car. I got it for thirty nine ninety
nine on eBay. Figured i'd picked that one up before
it went away. It has etched like photo etch when wipers.

(47:01):
I don't know if you can see those, yeah, not
on here, but those are individual piece and I like
that they're kind of, you know, off center, like they
would be on an actual car. So really nice casting
Intra one sixty four scale, so it's huge because you know,
the fifty nine Miller Meteor was a big car. This

(47:22):
other one is.

Speaker 3 (47:24):
Could you could you make a working scroll on that sign?
Could as a customers or could you made me enough? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (47:32):
But not today. The other thing, this is from Dan
over at die cast Dude. Turned me onto this thing,
and I got it from here in the US. Unfortunately,
they're currently sold out a place called east Side Audio.
That is another one of these places where they sell

(47:56):
aftermarket full sized car stuff and then and die casts
on the side because that's what the guy who owns
the shop collects. So they saw a lot of premium
diecasts they got like their own like little virtual hobby shop.
And this thing is fantastic and it was about sixty

(48:16):
bucks and you can see a video of it over
at die cast Dudes YouTube channel. But this thing, like
the the asphalt has texture to it, it's like sandpaper.
The blocks and stuff you can move around. The dumpster
is movable. It comes with decals. It comes with a

(48:37):
really nice glass case for it. So there's like decals
that look like road signs and warning signs that you
can put around. And I haven't done that yet, but
I just I got this thing because you know, this,
this particular casting looks really nice. It looks at home
sitting on that looks like it's showing up to do
a job. So I actually bought this diorama specifically for

(49:00):
this vehicle because this thing looks outstanding out of the box.
Fantastic weathering on it, textures. This is not this is
not acetate with a decal on it. This stuff is
like real textured brick rup real textured you know, ventilation

(49:20):
ducts and stuff. This thing looks incredible. For sixty bucks,
I thought it was well worth the money. So get
it before the tariffs destroy it, is my recommendation. And
you can't get it from Easide Audio because they're sold out.
But they had very fast shipping and they seem like

(49:41):
decent people to buy from, so check them out. They
also us some Magic City stuff. The other thing I had,
I had the brick thing and speaking of our buddies
over at AutoWorld in round two, they just dropped this
amazing hobby exclusive nineteen eighty one Chevy Silverado fleet side

(50:03):
with an incredible custom paint job, roll bar with spotlights
on it, bullbar on the front, custom wheels. This thing
looks like it'll play fog hat if you take it
out of the packaging. It looks incredible. I'm pretty sure
I'm never ever going to find it on the pegs anywhere,
so I'm probably gonna have to order it from the

(50:24):
outa World store. Still, many might order from them. By
the way, I think they I had some pre orders
in there, so I think they're waiting until the pre
orders come in. But yeah, does have some good deals occasionally,
so check it out.

Speaker 5 (50:38):
They are it looks good.

Speaker 3 (50:39):
They are killing the eighties and nineties. I mean they
are just absolutely delivering on that those decades.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Yeah, they have found they have found their niche and
they are doing amazing work on that. So now we're
going to go over to Derek.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
And now we're going.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
Yes his big beefy boy.

Speaker 7 (51:01):
Yeah, this is my latest acquisition.

Speaker 5 (51:05):
I just wanted to share with you guys. Give a
little leak.

Speaker 2 (51:07):
So This is a one.

Speaker 7 (51:08):
Eighteen Auto Art Carrera RSR two point one. This is
a very famous car in the Porsche enthusiastic world. Different
number on mine though mine has twenty two, not number five.
But it has removable front trunk lid, removable rear or
front trunk rear rear trunk lid. I don't want to

(51:32):
say bonnets anymore because this guy named Alexander always gets
tell me about it. Opening doors, full roller, functional steering,
incredible detail on the bottom.

Speaker 5 (51:41):
I'm super excited to show this to you guys. It's free.

Speaker 3 (51:44):
Yeah, Okay, let's look at the pictures before we get
the big reveal, because this, uh.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
That does look you know, that is the strongest argument
I've seen for one eighteen t yet. I mean that
thing looks.

Speaker 3 (51:58):
I mean, can you beat a Mark teeny livery really
like maybe maybe Apple For.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
Me, I would say Golf, but you know, but Martini
is the Apple one is is incredible. But yeah, yeah,
it depends on the Golf one too.

Speaker 5 (52:13):
But yeah, so that picture is the actual model.

Speaker 7 (52:15):
I got the number twenty two car and then I think, uh, chuck,
if you want to scroll to the next picture, that's
the actual car.

Speaker 5 (52:22):
That's the i RL car.

Speaker 2 (52:23):
So credible job scale.

Speaker 5 (52:27):
Yeah, full size.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
Look especially at that front grill, that that little intake
down at the front of the bumper. And look on
this one, how that is actually mesh. Yeah, it's perfect,
Like that stands out to me. That's definitely photo etch.
And you know you've got that wiper blade on the
on the windshield, is you know outstanding looks just like

(52:52):
the real thing. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (52:53):
And if and if you look inboarder on the rear wheel,
you can see part of the suspension hanging down.

Speaker 3 (52:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
I noticed that there's a little trailing arm or sway
bar or something in there.

Speaker 5 (53:02):
They even got that right.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
They love the tires. The weathering on the tires looks incredible,
like that kind of faded.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Yeah. Guys, if someone, if you or someone you love
is being tempted by one eighteenth, we're here to tell
you you're not alone. There is help. You can't you
can fight it. Yeah, but you don't these look good.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
If you don't call one eighteen scale charter get.

Speaker 3 (53:29):
Helps the right. Yeah, if not from us, definitely not
from there.

Speaker 7 (53:33):
And if you need yeah, I was gonna say, if
you need a little bit of nudge, and make sure
you make sure to watch my one eighteen reviews.

Speaker 4 (53:40):
Now, Derek, really quick question, if anybody is wanting to
buy something like that, what are they expecting to pay
for something like that?

Speaker 7 (53:48):
So, just like anything in the die cast world, if
you do a little bit of shopping around, have a
little bit of patience, you will find something that's reasonably priced.
This car, I'm just gonna tell you, guys, if you're
if you're lucky enough to be able to find it online,
because it is a little bit of an older model.
I've seen examples of this particular cargo for six to
eight hundred bucks. I paid nowhere near that, so I'll

(54:11):
just leave that there. I would consider it right around retail.
And if you watch my one eighteen videos a lot
of the times, I will say you guys will be
surprised if you go looking for this car how much
it costs. But if if you just wait, if you
be patient, you will find a deal. You know, So
just be patient.

Speaker 3 (54:31):
Do you mean to tell me we should not get
on eBay and buy the first one we see? Is
that what would be trying to tell.

Speaker 5 (54:38):
Us that would be wise?

Speaker 7 (54:39):
And I think that's what I'm trying to say, David
is just have a little bit of patience.

Speaker 2 (54:43):
I'm thinking back to when I first got back into
the hobby and was buying mainline matchbox cars that I
would find on the pigs a week later for ten
bucks off eBay, And yeah.

Speaker 3 (54:54):
We've all been there. So Derek, do we have the
pleasure of seeing that in hand today?

Speaker 6 (55:00):
Is that?

Speaker 7 (55:02):
As much as I would love to show it to
you guys, I actually just ordered that today, So that's
probably probably happened about two or three weeks.

Speaker 5 (55:08):
It's coming from overseas.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
All right, we're on the next episode, I guess.

Speaker 3 (55:12):
So where would we go to watch Honest dic ast
when he does get it?

Speaker 5 (55:16):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (55:17):
You can find me on Honest Die cast on YouTube
or uh. I also just recently started streaming on Twitch too,
so oh all right, well cool this broadcast, this broadcast
is actually being streamed on Twitch as we speak.

Speaker 3 (55:29):
Sweet.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Yeah, I noticed that. Thank you. Also, Rid to answer
your question, yes, Him two did do a similar colorway
and the model kit version of their Silverado, which I
have because I have a problem and I've got way
too many square bodies for somebody who is a Dodge guy.
But uh, you know they're they're a good looking car,

(55:53):
good looking truck. So and that was a cool looking colorway,
so yes, you are correct, So all right, so bl
Tony Customs Bullet Tony Customs pointed out the rear tires
on that Porsche and he is correct. That thing is gorgeous.
Super JDM saying it's addictive. Be careful and not wrong.

(56:16):
See here's my problem with one eighteen scale. Like one
eighteen scale is common enough, like when I was doing
one eighteenth scale, people would just start giving me the
ones that they had that they didn't want anymore, and
I ended up with like a ton of them. So
you know, they they are something that just kind of
shows up, like they will just wash into your collection
and you'll end up with a bunch of junk that

(56:36):
you don't want. And reselling a one eighteenth scale locally
anyway is almost impossible because nobody really gets it, like
especially if you got a really nice one. But you know,
that is a great example of why one eighteen because
that thing just there's no way you could get anything

(56:58):
close to that in one sixty four or even one four.

Speaker 3 (57:02):
Any bigger scales for you in your collection. Just curious me.

Speaker 4 (57:06):
Yep, I do have a one eighteen scale that I
got from a friend.

Speaker 6 (57:12):
It's a he's a fifty seven Chevy.

Speaker 4 (57:18):
But other than that, I do have one twenty four scales,
but majority of my collection is one for space purposes.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (57:26):
Pia did tell me behind the scenes that he does
plan on buying the one eighteen fl five Civic type
ar someday. Yes, the motor Helix beautiful.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Nice all right, gents, Well, I think we're at time,
so as we're wrapping things up, any final thoughts on
the day, any uh, any big revelations.

Speaker 3 (57:52):
I think, yeah, I will probably continue to buy Diecast cars.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
That is a safe assumption. Jody's pointing out, I relaxed
and collecting grab the hot new stuff if I find
it in real life. But everything I want out there,
it's a matter of waiting for it together. That's a
good way of looking at it, Jody, because you know,
I've I've kind of backed off on like stuff like
the Ghostbuster one, like that's never gonna show up on

(58:20):
the pig somewhere or even probably at a die Cast show.
And if it did show up at I guess showed
probably one hundred bucks. So those kinds of things. Yeah,
Like there's a Back to the Future set of three
cars that's on Ali that I've been really itching to
buy and they look really really good. But you know, anymore,

(58:43):
it's most stuff I'm not buying unless it's on the pigs.

Speaker 3 (58:48):
So all right, well that's there's a cracking good show.
As I say over the pond, Pia, Derek, thank you
for stopping buying until the next time.

Speaker 5 (58:58):
That'll be a yeah awesome.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
And Pa, are you are you back posting on mad
Visions right now? Are you still on kind of a sabbatical.

Speaker 4 (59:08):
No, I'm just posting on Diecast Media Network.

Speaker 2 (59:11):
Actually I appreciate that. Yes, So for those who don't know,
both of these gentlemen are people with keys to the
die Cast Media Network studio office, which is basically YouTube studio.
And so if you see something posted and it's not moving,
it's probably Pa. If you see something posting it it

(59:32):
is moving and it looks expensive, it's David. And if
you see something that looks like it was thrown together
at the very last second, minutes before it was supposed
to go on the air, it was me. And Derek
posts stuff occasionally when he feels like it, but he's
got a real channel to run, so we appreciate him
stopping buy when he can. If you want to get
in on the action and be a volunteer for the

(59:53):
die Cast Media network, we are looking for some help.
If you know somebody who's talented and can edit and
wants to work for free, then they will still be
coming out ahead of all of us, because everybody that
you're staring at right now pays money to do this show.
So you know, if you want to be a part
of this money losing endeavor, then please feel free to

(01:00:38):
project that Mark is doing. We're raising twenty five thousand
cars for kids in need all over the world and
it's a really cool project by Mark and his wife
Kimber and we're supporting them as much as we can
every step of the way on that. It's a really
cool plan and you know, I think twenty five thousand
is a perfectly achievable goal for them this year. So
thank you everyone for joined us live, and hey, if

(01:01:01):
you're watching the replay, leave a little comment letting us
know you made it to the end. And now, as always,
