Ingrid Honkala recounts her near-drowning experience at age two in Bogota, Colombia. She describes playing near a 900-gallon water tank and accidentally falling in. The water was frigid, and she panicked but then experienced a profound sense of calm and peace. She saw a light and bubbles, and felt a familiarity and absence of fear. After her rescue, she exhibited enhanced abilities, such as reading and writing, and developed a new perspective on life, viewing challenges as opportunities and feeling a deep connection with others.
