در واقع، می‌خواست بفهمه که زال اصلاً شایستگی داشتن همچین فرزندی رو داره یا نه. بالاخره، بعد از کلی آزمون و خطا، قبول کرد که زال و رودابه ازدواج کنن.
زال هم فوراً این خبر رو به باباش، سام، رسوند و قرار شد صبح اول صبح راه بیفتن سمت کابل برای انجام بقیه‌ی کارها! البته، همون شب یه فرستاده هم برای مهراب فرستاد تا این خبر خوب رو به پدر عروس بده و بگه: «آماده باش که داریم میایم!»
