Colt Gray, a 14-year-old student, has been identified as the alleged shooter in a tragic incident that occurred at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, on September 4, 2024. Gray is accused of opening fire with a semiautomatic rifle, resulting in the deaths of two students—Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 years old—and two teachers, Christina Irimie, 53, and Richard Aspinwall, 39.   The Shooting Incident On the day of the shooting, Gray reportedly left his algebra classroom and later attempted to return. When classmates refused to open the door, he allegedly opened fire in the hallway, leading to chaos and panic among students and staff. Law enforcement responded swiftly, and Gray surrendered to officers shortly after the shooting began. He is currently in custody and will be charged with murder, facing trial as an adult.
