Speaker 1 (00:01):
Dumb in the Morning with Melissa Moore, the podcast on
Cool one oh five.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
You know, we've been talking a lot over the past
several months about what was going on with Kelly Clarkson.
She missed a big bunch of the tapings of her
show this past year and had people filling in for her,
and people were saying, oh, she's disgrundled, she's unhappy, and
she kept saying, no, that's not it. I've just got
stuff to deal with. And then she had to cancel
part of her Las Vegas residency for the rest of August,
(00:29):
and people were like, something's going on. And then yesterday
we found out what it was. So sad to hear
that her ex husband, her kid's father, passed away from
melanoma at the age.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Of forty eight.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yike, yeah, And I guess he'd found out three years
ago and his health really took a turn this past year.
And despite the fact that they had this messy divorce
and it was ugly at one point, she was there
helping take care of them, and she said she needs
to be there for her kids.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Oh, I'm glad to hear that, you know. And the
whole thing about the messy divorce. It is time tends
to heal some wounds. And I'm not saying everyone who's listening.
You know, if they went through a horrible breakup that
they got you know, it became friends later. But it
happens in a lot of cases.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
It does.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
It does once the emotions and everything calms down and
you start putting the kids first, which it sounds like
that's what she did. She put the kids first and
then took care of this person that she used to love.
And yeah, so just I mean, my heart went out
to her when I heard that yesterday, I was like,
oh my gosh. I was just very heartbreaking story, that
is for sure. All Right, On a lighter note, j Lo,
(01:36):
This is funny. When Jlo gets refused entry into a store,
it makes international news.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Why did was she refused entry?
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I don't even know.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
So she's out on tour and she goes to an
international Chanelle store all right in Istanbul's like this ritzy
area where they have shops. She gets out of her car,
her big suv.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
It pulls up.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
She's in this little pink outfit and there's always a
security guard, like outside of Chanelle, outside of some of
the big name stores and they decide if you're going
in or.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Not, but they not like the way she was dressed.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
I don't know what it was.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
I mean, she's j Lo and she gets out and
they say, no, you can't come in here, And all
I could think of was the scene from Pretty Woman
where they don't let her go into the store. She's like, mistake,
big mistake. And then she goes and spends money at
all the other stores, and I guess j Lo said, okay,
like you don't want me in there.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Okay, you know what it is. They're been afle like fans.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
That's a team. Ben is on the window of Chitel.
That's fantastic. She didn't throw a fit or anything. And
she once again went and spent a ton of money
at the other stores.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
I guess they sent her a text or called her
agent and said, hey, tell her she can come back now.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
And she said, no, thanks.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
You're right. That's total pretty Woman.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
It is.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
It just it made me laugh. I'm like, that is crazy,
all right.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
So they just did a ranking of the top one
hundred best classic rock songs from one hundred different artists.
Number one, you've alreay seen. I saw the list Yeah,
Aerosmiths Sweet Emotion was number one, Cashmere by led Zeppelin
number two, and the Rolling Stones Give Me Shelter was
number three.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
And the Beatles A Day in the Life was number five. Well,
the thing about this list that was interesting is they
they limited it to just one per artist, so you
couldn't have, like the Beatles have like four in the
top twenty or whatever. Which artist just gets one right,
and Sweet Emotion screams rock and roll it does, So
(03:37):
that's a I like that choice.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah, I thought it was a good list. Sorry, So,
speaking of the Beatles, you're on a twelve hour road trip.
This is kind of the mind candy question they threw out,
and you can only listen to one singer. Who could
you listen to for twelve hours? And it said one singer,
didn't say.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Group, Yeah, because some singers have been like Paul McCartney
had multiple. Yeah, that's interesting.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
So some of the top responses, by the way, David Bowie,
Paul McCartney was on that list, Chris Cornell weird.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Awl twelve hours of weird al. I can't even imagine
who would it be for you?
Speaker 4 (04:13):
I think they use that IgG obay.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
I would think so.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
You know, McCartney is not a bad choice. Yeah, because
you want somebody who's got a lot of material, because
it's twelve hours. You don't want to.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Twelve hours you've gotta and it's got a Yeah, you
can't have somebody that had one hit.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
That's gonna be a little tough. Yeah, you gotta think.
So who would it be for you? I might go
with McCartney, Okay, that's what I wondered if you were doing.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
That, Georg John because you could pick their songs with
their various incantations through the years. So, yeah, that's a
good choice.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
What about you?
Speaker 4 (04:48):
You're not going Taylor Swift? You are not?
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yes, I am.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
I seriously, I was like, well, who could it be
that I have all these albums and I could get
a great mix, And I was like, honestly, Taylor Swift
popped into my head, and I was like, I knew
you were gonna you would give me crap.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
I was hoping you weren't going to ask. And finally
at the movies over the.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Weekend, you've been waiting, you've been wondering, You're like, oh
my gosh, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan is it time? Yes, Today,
Freaky or Friday is out. It's Freaky Friday Part two,
along with a new Scarlett Johansson movie called My or
My Mother's Wedding. And that is it for Melissa's celebrity scoop.
