Speaker 1 (00:01):
Dumb in the Morning with Melissa Moore, the podcast on
Cool one oh five.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
That's a cure when you are just maybe not feeling
like going to work and you're like, I'm just not
feeling it. You go home, take a nap. Wh It's
trashy TV on Netflix. It's the best.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Was that? Is that what you would do.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
If I could, if I had the house all to myself.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yeah, let's imagine for just a moment. May set the
scene for you. Yeah, here's Melissa Moore, She's driving to work.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Do do Do Do Do do? Because that's how I drive.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
And you get halfway there and you're like, I'm just
gonna go back home. I'm not going to work today.
And you got the house to yourself.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Yes, so it's a key right there.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
So now what do you do?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I would get myself something to drink. I would turn
on TV and the New Sex in the City I
have not caught up on, and just like that, the
Sarah Jessica Parker and it's now going to be the
last season. I would watch that until I got through
the whole thing. Okay, that's what I would do if
nobody was home. If somebody was home, I'd feel like
I had to be productive.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
That's the truth, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yes, I would empty the dishwasher.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
I wouldn't, you know, water the plants. Well, if anybody
else wants to just call it off today and turn
around and go home. There's a story that's gone rather
viral because some boss on Reddit posted this. He has
an intern who's gen Z and she wasn't feeling it.

(01:24):
So this is what she the message she sent to him. Okayar,
I'm going to read it verbatim. Got it feeling a
bit overwhelmed with all the work. Yeah, and my energy
feels a little off. So not getting that vibe closed
by saying we'll talk soon bye.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I didn't ask, just took it.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
We'll talk soon bye, because my energy energy feels a
little off.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
And I'm not feeling the vibe today. I'm just not
I'm not feeling it. I am going to start. Let
me open my emails here to Jim Barry. See how
this one goes off.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Jam. I made it to almost seven thirty, but then
the energies of my energies, my vibe just wasn't there.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Now the heat, you know that Colorado heat right now, buddy,
it's just it's kicking my butt. I'm not feeling it.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
So the boss who posted this, his headline for it
was corporate world is not ready for gen Z. No,
I think it's unfair to paint everybody with a broadbrush.
I'm sure there are plenty of gen Z who are
very much go getters, and there are plenty of boomers
who are lazy slugs.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Oh, abs, I mean, look at our very own producer Dixon, right,
I mean, in all, I mean employee the month, producer Dixon.
We should have had. You had to mention that again,
you know, I mean, it's incredible what he's accomplished in
the short time he's been here.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yeah, incredible.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Some of us have been here for decades. I've never
seen that.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Yeah, wonderful he's said. By the way, this boss, Yeah
that he did ultimately approve the request.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Well that's because she didn't. She just took it off.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I mean, what are you gonna do.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
She's not coming back. She's like, I'll see you on
such and such date, and she turned it into a
lovely long weekend to help her vibe.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Heal, We'll talk soon, Bye, Dixon. Don't get any ideas. Sorry, gosh,
don in the Morning with Melissa Moore.
