Speaker 1 (00:01):
Dumb in the Morning with Melissa Moore the podcast on
Cool one O five.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
All right, so maybe you're feeling all stressed out. Who's
feeling stressed?
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Showing hands?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Stressed there, raising your hands. It's the thing that do
you remember a few years ago when it was this
trend with adolescents teenagers really, that were walking around with
pacifiers in their mouth. Do you remember that a little
bit that many years ago? Anyway, Apparently the new trend
is for adults to start using adult pacifiers. They think
(00:39):
it may have started in China, but it is spreading worldwide.
And when asked why are they putting pacifiers in their mouth,
they have named three main reasons. One to stop snoring, okay,
all right, Another one weight loss. They say it might
help curbs sacking if you've just got to plug in
(01:02):
your house gaging pie hole, so you go eat, I
guess you know. And then the other one was to
cope with anxiety.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Okay, I don't see how any of this is going
to help.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Doesn't You wouldn't feel any better if you just threw
a pacifier.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
In And I'm telling you, if I saw somebody like that,
I would want to just pop it out. Of their mouth.
Just want to be like, stop that, you need to
stop that. I mean, I think, I just it's just disturbing.
It's just experturbing.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Experts are warning Melissa that this cannot be a long
term solution. It could actually delay diagnosing the real cause
of your disturbances and prevent individuals from dealing with the issues.
It's basically creating avoidance.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, it's it's a lot of issues. If you buy
a pass fire for yourself and you walk around with it,
there's so many more issues. I'm just sign yourself up
for therapy right there.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
They do make them, by the way, if you're saying
those pacifiers are small, no, these are specially made. There's
a company that's selling them. I want to say. It's
like two dollars and twenty cents apiece, and they've sold
the tens of thousands of them so far. And that
is the new thing. There was one country I can't
remember which kind was it, Bahrain. I guess their government
(02:26):
spoke up and says it's a breach of public morals.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Yes, there we go somebody with some common sense. I
know there are so many things I could say about this.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
But.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
That's what we do on this show. No, not going
to no.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
IM not going to say them. I just there are
some issues there. You've got some attachment attachment issues.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Attachment to what well?
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Or yeah, just attachment style. What kind of attachment style
do you have? You got some issues?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Not on BOARDINGH No, it's.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
It's weird, weird things that you see. And it's one
thing when you see teenagers do them, you just kind
of rack it up to them being teenagers.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
You're like, Okay, that's weird.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
But adults out of the teen years, uh uh, be single.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Forever or you find another passify you share back and forth.
