Paul Karkson Studio. Thanks for tuning in, folks. It's Donnie

my headsets.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
I need it up a little, Ryan.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Our director, our director. The voice of God is Derek Won.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
I can barely hear Danny. I need it up.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
We're good. Hell, Hello, Hello, see I go away for
one day and everything that's it. You were gone.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
You weren't here Friday, and it was chaos.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
That's a little bit better. Okay, Okay, maybe it's expected,
maybe it's our problem. Uh where do we start? A
lot A lot happened on the weekend, I think most
importantly when it comes to what are you doing over there?
What are you doing? It's the same, I can hear it.
That's actually just a little better. There you go. Sure
(01:40):
what happened on Friday?
Speaker 6 (01:41):
Did you we're supposed to be this?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Nina was here? Did you mess with the controls? By
the way, By the way, I come in here. This
that you you hosted, I took. I'm taking fridays off
right a SA agent long weekends, four day, four day
work week. I come here. My mug's not here, my
mouse is we're in the in the studio. Everything's everything.
(02:03):
When you go to someone's house, do you just throw
things around? Yes, leave it for the people to clean up.
It was chaos. It really was chaos this morning. Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
So I would rewind it back to you being the problem,
because when I came in on Friday, you had left
all of your crap everywhere, no show notes from the
day before, your glasses, your mug was half used. I mean,
aren't you supposed to you know, for the next person.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
I get leeway, the senior member of this staff under
that word, yeah, I can do whatever I want. Sure, Okay,
So the volume seems is it? Okay?
Speaker 4 (02:40):
Did you hear each other?
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Now I would say, okay, not great, but but but okay, I.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Can hear you also like your headphones?
Speaker 1 (02:47):
I do to nine million? Well okay to eleven? Yeah? Well, yeah, sure,
I'm gonna see spinal Tap this coming weekend. Oh yeah, okay,
I'm looking looking forward to a big movie coming up. Yeah,
well it was released this past weekend, but I'm a
little I'll be a little bit behind, but I will
see it next weekend. Let me let me do this.
We started our show, let's start this last week and
we'll talk about the cannuction, the white Caps in the Lions.
(03:10):
But we started our show for the last two weeks
talking about lacrosse. So let's wrap it up here. Man
Cup Game seven Saturday, six Nations beats in US twelve seven.
The Salmon Bills are up two nothing and three to
two in this series and they end up losing in
seven games. Where have I heard that before? Team being
up three to two and two nothing in a series,
(03:31):
end up losing Game seven.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
Oh geez, twenty eleven maybe no, yeah, yeah it was
twenty eleven. Yeah, exactly, they got Hey, the salmon Belly's
got no one to blame but themselves. Dot.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
I can't believe you were stuck by that.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
Oh you know, but I would listen. Third straight Man
Cup for six Nations. Yes, do these guys are a
powerhops you know, just a power hoax?
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Well, you know. The tough part for people out here
is that the East has won seventeen the last eighteen
Man Cups. Now why team to win it? Could? Keep
in mind that check is our bosses are located in Victoria.
Last West team Victoria in twenty fifteenth. I want to
say this too. I watched the WLA stream for both
Game six and seven on the interweb, and Jake Elliott,
(04:16):
our friend, good guy played did a fabulous job. So
shout out to a fellow broadcaster in Jake Elliott.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
He's a great broadcaster by the way, and he did
a great job he did.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Okay. Also, do we want to go Canucks here? Talk
about the Canucks? Sure, let's do it. Training camp opens
Thursday in Penticton. Their first preseason game goes on Sunday.
I believe that it's around here. It's around the corner.
Cannucks and Crack and Prospect showcase on the weekend in
Washington State. Saturday in Everett, Sunday in Seattle at the
(04:50):
fabulous Crack and Practice Facility. The team's split Crack in
one on Saturday, Canucks on Sunday. But some negative new
for the Canucks. Brandon Kots, first round draft pick in
twenty twenty five, was injured on Saturday. Parker alcost was
hurt on Sunday. Port Moody, kid, what are you hearing
(05:11):
when it comes to those Okay?
Speaker 5 (05:12):
So Coots is not serious. He didn't play Game two.
He got injured in Game one. Kots will be ready
for training camp. I do know that for a fact.
You'll be ready in Penticton. That's the Canucks first round
pick out of Seattle Thunderbirds last year.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
So Kots I can tell you it's not.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Serious, Okay. And then Parker was held out. Parker Alcoast
was held out on Sunday after seeing action. Ye see
if we can get updated on him as the week
goes on. Tom vy Lander, Rick not impressive from what
I understand.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
Well, not in the first game. Not in the first game,
better the second, better in the second. A lot of
pressure on this kid. He's a first rounder from two
years ago, don and people think that third line right
side job he's his. But you want to see him dominate. Okay,
The two guys I wanted to see dominate this weekend
were Will Lander and the Lakara Mackie because of their
(06:01):
first round pedigree. Right and look at Seattle's first round
or eight overall Berkeley cat. He dominated in the first game.
He's much younger than those guys.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
He didn't play a second.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
No, he didn't play a second. But you want to
see these guys dominate. But here's the problem for the Canucks.
Because their team went to the Calder Cup and won it.
The window for these guys to have a long summer
of training, put on the weight, put on the muscle.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Donnie, it was a short window for Lakara Mackie. What
does Lakara Mackie.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
I'm telling Donnie, I'm telling you he had a short
window instead of a long window.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
To train.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
And what does Lakara MACKI need more than anything else,
upper buddies.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
What about the experience of taking party. He should have
dominated that season.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
He played NHL games last year, Lakara Mackie don, he
should have dominated this weekend. He did score in the
second game. But that kid Elis Petterson, the defenseman. Yeah,
he's picking up where he left off.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Minimongst the boys and he had the has the vantage
of having played, you know, close to thirty games in
the National Hockey League last year.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
Absolutely, and the goalies were good. And this Russian goalie
the Canucks got. This guy's going to be good. Onder
de no Alexi Medvedev. Even the other guy Aku causing
call vu. But that guy I was just specified.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Look you pulled the hamstrings.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
The second guy, he was good yesterday, he played the
entire game. Aku, he was really good. From Finland, Yeah,
from Finland, he said. Sixth or seventh round pick.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
And Wilmer Arlickson was impressive on on Saturday, big.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Big Ontario Hockey League kid.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
Uh, he really impressed at camp last year and the
Canucks signed right away. Keep an eye on him down
the road.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Fourth rounder and twenty twenty three. Yeah, we had time
to move. Okay, Yeah, how was it? How was Brian Adams,
bout o outstanding.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
Yeah, Friday Night Rogers Arena, Brian Adams my fourth time.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
I want to say seeing importantly, whoa, whoa Brian Adams,
No surprise, Yeah he's great, was terrific. Yeah, your first
experience with the new seats.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Yeah, more importantly, first experience with the seats. You're tweeted
on a photo of my show us the photo My
upper bowl seat insanely comfortable.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
Why would you show Why wouldn't you put the seat
down and show us the entire seat?
Speaker 1 (08:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
I didn't like what this doesn't do anything for me.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
That's that's all I have. I don't have anything else.
Why do you show yourself city sitting?
Speaker 4 (08:29):
And I was going to put that I felt that's
a little too self serving.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
I don't know, nobody wants to see me.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
But very comfortable, I will say, p s a early
heads up if you haven't been in them yet. They
are a little bit smaller, both both width wise and
leg room wise, like your knees are gonna be a
bit squished, but other than that, beautiful.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
And I felt that your knees squished.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Because you don't have him. You don't have as much
like leg room in front of you.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Does that see it smaller? Did I see smaller? Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:04):
The seat No, I guess the seat would be bigger
like with Wise. It's it's with Wise, you don't have
as much room for you yourself. So you raved about them.
Now you're whining about it. I'm just saying saying people
are gonna have to deal with that. But and I
felt bad because almost all of Rogers Arena has done
at this point except like two corner Slivers, And so
(09:27):
I felt bad for those people. You know, you go
to the event and you're the last of the whole.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
I want ryan none of them whine.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
I guarantee you do. Yeah, I guarantee you all those people.
I guarantee those people went, Man, look at this, we
got shafted. We're in the crap seats and everyone else
is in the good seats. And you know, and I
will say they painted the railings, which I was worried about.
The railings are all black.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
Now.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
My my one question though they haven't replaced any of
the floor seats yet for concerts. I wonder, I wonder
will they do them? That's my wonder.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, those at Costco, what those folding chairs.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Yeah, yeah, watching there's a costco right here.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
Yeah, they're they're gray black.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
Yeah, and this wasn't cheap. This cost a few bangs
and they got they put in a new ice pot.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Oh man, Ryan, should he put a local like medal
of honor of some kind for doing these upgrades of
the buildings?
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Tell thirty years old? Okay, hold on a second. I
you know, listen, we take our shots at Cannock ownership.
They've done a pretty good job of maintaining that building. Sure,
especially now that the seats have been.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Yeah, now that the seats have finally been done after
years and years of people squawking.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Well, keep in mind that, you know, they do have
to defend what you're saying. Ryan, They do have some
extra money to throw around because they don't have a
practice facility.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Well they don't though, because he's trying to scrounge up
some looties and tunies to buy out his brothers.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
So now now everybody, including Thomas France, who went down
to Seattle to watch stayed to watch those two games,
raved about the Kraken All facility. I saw it yesterday
on the feet. Yeah, but I mean they got to
you know, go into the bowels, right, and they were
very impressed.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Well, and Rick and I talked about this on Friday,
about the Utah facility, and I mean the.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Red Deer Rebels.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
The Red Deer Rebels just absolutely spent hundreds of thousands
of dollars for those kids, and you know what practice facility,
all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
I want to talk Lions and white Caps as the
day goes on, but let's just focus on hockey for
a second here a little bit more. And as you know,
I'm an old timer. I'm getting up there, mid mid sixties,
and I remember this player very very well for the
New York Rangers. Ed Jockoman, goaltender has passed away at
the age of eighty six. Fourteen NHL seasons to have
(11:54):
the graphic here any chance, Ryan twelve of those seasons
with the Rangers. Considered one of the great Rangers of
all time. They've retired his number one. He ended his
career with a couple of seasons with the Detroit Red Wings.
Vesen a trophy back in nineteen seventy one. If memory
serves me well, I believe he shared that veson A
trophy with the left hander Jill Villamir so Ed Jockman
(12:17):
leaving us at the age of eighty six. And here
is the one thing I remember more than anything about
Ed Jockman. He was one of the last goaltenders to
not wear a mask. He finished his career wearing a mask.
Just the thinking back then, you know, you protect all
these other parts in your body except your head in
your face. It's just bizarre. But I always remember and
(12:41):
that Rangers team was very good with had Field and
Jilbert and Rattel and Brad Park, with a lot of
talent there, but they're up against the big bad Bruins
with Bobby Or and Esposito. Montreal was still good and
they just couldn't get over the hump in terms of
winning a Stanley Cup. But I always remember Ed Jock
and it could be he could be having the worst
(13:03):
performance in the world, and he looked so cool in
the net. Nothing rattled him. He'd let in a bad
goal and he might be getting booed. He just looked
so cool. He was in a real strange way. He
was a cool guy to watch. I just always always
remember that with him. Also did a very good job,
as he can tell by his career stats. Pretty good
(13:25):
job of stopping the puck as well. Ranger legend.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
We knew his name in the seventies and eighties twenty
for sure, absolutely so.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Thoughts prayers condolences to friends and family of the late
Great Ed Jackman, leaving us at the age of eighty
six es. What else is coming up on the show again?
We're going to talk about the Lions, who when it
becomes a good day weekend rather at BC Place. Lions
went on Friday the rematch against the Ottawa after the
(13:54):
disappointment of the nation's capital the week before, white Caps
winning massively. It's supposed to be a SAT show down
on two of the best teams in the in Major
League Soccer. Wasn't much of a showdown seven nil against Philadelphia.
So we'll talk about that white Caps, Lions, Canucks. All
three teams will be the focus of our poll question.
(14:14):
We'll introduce that a couple of segments. DTMZ is it
just me coming up? Eleven o'clock hour. Craig Button will
join us just after eleven o'clock. We'll get Craig Stotts.
He remembers Ed Jockman on Ed Jockamin big Rye, the
Quitter Guy coming up later this hour and up next
from KGr Sports Radio in Seattle. The Seahawks they beat
(14:34):
d DK Metcalf their old buddy and the Steelers yesterday
Mariners first place ball club cracking all of that. Ian
Furnas KGr Sports Radio the Crack and Hockey Network. He's
going to join us next. Thanks for tuning in, folks.
Hope you got a great weekend. Donnie and Dolly the

(16:07):
Ian Finich KJR Sports for Radio Crack and Hockey and
Network Seahawks over the Steelers thirty one seventeen. Ian, thanks
for doing this, sir. How are you?
Speaker 6 (16:16):
I'm great. It's been a long time since I've been
called a kid at my age, so I'll take that
as a compliment, although I think you're referring to my
normal behavior on this show. So thank you. Good to
see guys.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Well, you've got company there. I mentioned the Seahawks up
in the Steelers thirty one seventeen on the road. What
stood out for you.
Speaker 6 (16:33):
Well, they got the running game going. I thought that
was a big thing. Ken Walker was really good over
one hundred yards for the first time since early last season.
And there was a lot of talk here about you know,
Zach Charbonay, the lead back now, in fact, he was
actually made a team captain this week by Mike McDonald.
Was sharbon Ay and ken Walker just took over. Now
he had better lanes to run in and so forth.
But I think I think we saw what ken Walker is.
(16:53):
He's a special running back when healthy. That was big.
Sam Donald bounces back from a couple of bad picks
in the first half. They dominy of the second half.
Steelers two interceptions, two punts, and a field goal. That's
all they got in the second half. Defense without Devin Witherspoon,
without Nick even worry, their two number one slot guys
and so forth, I mean just were dynamite. The defense
(17:14):
was great, pressured Aaron Rodgers all day. And I think
what we saw yesterday was the guys the team that
I think we all envisioned during training camp and even
the offseason. We didn't see that the first week against
San Francisco, But going there to that stadium, and I've
been there a number of times, it's a hard place
to play against Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf game, I think,
all in all, just a really big day for the Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Okay, Donald's numbers were pretty good, close to three hundred
yards pass, and you mentioned the running game, which was excellent.
Where's that offensive line at ian It's taken a lot
of criticism the last few years.
Speaker 6 (17:46):
Much better yesterday, Donnie like, much better yesterday. They protected well,
did a good job again. I mean, listen TJ. Watts's
stud I mean, he's just a really good player coming
off the edge. But they did a good job with him.
And when you're running back goals for over one hundred bills, hey,
you know what your offensive line is doing something good.
We saw, you know, the fourth down play, the interception
Robbie Ootz, their fullback just missed. He just whiffed on
(18:07):
Watt coming through and I think that caused a pick.
But you know you're gonna have a couple of mistakes
during the day. You know, Bradford played better at right guard.
Abe Lucas had a much better game at right tackle.
Charles Cross. I think the only downside is they might
regret not getting you know, Charles Cross. They got to
a one year extension. They exercised the option I guess
on his contract, but they need to sign that left
tackle to a long term deal. He has had two
(18:28):
great games to start the season, and left tackles cost
a pretty penny and every week Charles Cross plays like that. Man,
It's good The price tag goes up. But they played
well yesterday for sure.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Three catches for twenty yards. I know he got the touchdown.
You mentioned DK metcalf Finana. It's not all about him.
But did you expect more?
Speaker 6 (18:47):
Yeah? I did, especially with Devin Witherspoon out and even
with eman Ori out the rookie, I thought he would
go crazy and I thought that they would target him more.
Donnie and Rick, I thought that they would. I thought
it was an odd odd that the Steelers didn't go
more to DK. But whether it was Josh Joe blanketing
him at times, Wolan, even Darien Kendrick, a guy that
(19:09):
picked up off waivers from the Rams, they in some ways,
I mean, my goodness, how long have we been doing
this together, the three of us right for a while.
We've talked about DK as a Seahawks so many times,
and the question why didn't they go to DK more?
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Why didn't?
Speaker 6 (19:22):
I don't know. Maybe it's maybe it's a DK thing,
Maybe it's a hymn not a them problem, because it
was strange. He had the one touchdown, he kind of
bodied up Kobe Bryant, and Kobe got his revenge later
with the picks. So it was an odd game in
that regard. I would expect more, especially with Seattle's best
defensive back in Devin Witherspoon out, and then they just
part of it was honestly, part of it was the
Seahawk front pressured Aaron Rodgers and made life really uncomfortable
(19:45):
for him. So give them some credit to upfront. They
did a good job against him.
Speaker 5 (19:49):
Your impressions are Sam Darnold in a couple of games
in now the first game only one hundred and fifty
yards passing. This one was much better. It's gonna take
them a time to get used to things in Seattle.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
I think what we saw yesterday the second half Sam
Darnald rick was what we expected to see that we
saw during mini camp in the spring and training camp
in July. Timing accurate. He's athletic enough to get around
and move around in the pocket, really strong arm. I
mean there's a reason he's picked where he was in
the NFL draft. I mean there's a talent level there.
All good quarterbacks go to the Jets to die, and
(20:21):
that's what ended up happening, you know, Earl his career.
We saw that with Gino. I mean, honestly, we saw
that with Gino, who rejuvenated his career here. But second
half he was really good. More importantly, he spread the
ball around. Like last week we talked about it, like
he targeted JSN last week, Jackson Smith and Jig but
thirteen times last week. This week he really spread around JSN,
Cooper Cup at Nincatch. I mean, he was really good.
(20:44):
We kind of looked like the Cooper Cup of Old
got the ball to the tight ends a couple of
times Barner for the touchdown. Cool to see Tory Horton
his first ever catch was a touchdown, the rookie from
Colorido State. So I think by spreading the ball around
a little bit more like there was a time I
think there was a time of about maybe ten to
eleven straight passes where he didn't target JSN, which is
a good thing. I mean, he's going elsewhere. So I
thought we saw the better version of Sam Darnold last yesterday.
(21:07):
All Right, the Seahawks win, the crowd, look at the
Mariners first in the Al West, nine straight wins. I'm
gonna guess that Canucks crack and preseason games. The prospects
on the weekend, Uh, not really on a lot of
people's minds in Seattle. Well, they were on yours obviously,
but I watched. I watched, did you okay? Good?
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (21:27):
Yeah, no, I mean honestly, yeah, with everything else going
on with the NFL and this and the Marriner is
in a stretch drive college football going on, it's it's
listen prospects games. They're fun, uh, and you know, you
give you a little bit to talk about. But at
the end of the day, you know, they wanted to
play Berkeley one game, see what he could do. Uh,
and he dominates, and then you know we'll see him
in main camp and really outside of him and Newman,
(21:50):
I'm just thinking I just saw that seeing the lineups
and a little bit what happened. Most of those guys
aren't gonna be here. Some guys in Coachell, a lot
of guys going back to junior or what have you.
So we get things one for real on Thursday, Rick,
and we'll we'll get to that point. But yeah, not
really on the radar with everything else going on.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
Okay, you know the Astros are only a game behind,
uh the Marris but but okay, get I know they
won on straight Just give us your thoughts down the stretch.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
What's gonna happen. Let's go.
Speaker 6 (22:19):
Well, a week ago, the Mariners were two games back,
actually three, if I'm not mistaken. In fact the astros,
the fact the astros very kaby. It's a good thing.
I think so, But we don't know how to handle it, Rick,
much like much like much like you up there, we
don't know how to handle this. This is this is
good Mariner baseball. This is a Pennant race. This is
a team that could compete for a World Series. And
if I'm being really honest, it's foreign territory for this
(22:41):
is how we operate, as you know, this is how
Mariner fans operate down here. We're waiting for something bad
to happen. We're just waiting for that is it will,
It's inevitable whatever happens. But yeah, they won to come
home on a homestand not lose, to win nine straight games.
H cals tigh. You know, I think the fun thing
for for a lot of us. I'm not a big
individual awards guy. I want to see the team succeed.
(23:03):
I just you know, that's what it's about, right, But
to see Cal Rawley tie a record and he'll break
it I assume over the next couple of weeks that
was set by Mickey Mannle in nineteen sixty one most
home runs by switch hit or is when you're just
saying those words in that same sentence, it's incredible. But
the pitching's been better. Kirby bounced back yesterday. That was big.
They needed him to get better and one game up.
(23:24):
I mean, listen, barring something just catastrophic over the next
two weeks. It's a playoff team. That's awesome. Like it's
a playoff team, there's no doubt about that. The question
is are they a division winner and are going to
Are they going to start at home? Can they catch
maybe Toronto and get a first round by as well
in that in the first run of the playoffs? Are
(23:45):
they going to be a wildcard team and have to
go to Houston or maybe even Texas, although I doubt
that's gonna happen. So, I mean, it's just probably a
question of are they going to win the division and
host Houston or are they going to be a wildcard
team and go to Houston. But they very much look
a They have a series with the Astros. They're off
today a couple against Kansas city, and then the end
(24:05):
of the week and the weekend they're in Houston, and
I think next Monday when we talk, we'll have a
very clear picture of where they're going to be and quickly.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Ian, you mentioned Berkeley Catton reportedly the best player on
the ice Saturday in the Prospect showcase Kraken versus Cannucks
big numbers in Spokane eighth overall a couple of years ago, right,
what are the expectations for him going into the season.
Speaker 6 (24:28):
I think they're cautious. And when they ask them that, Donnie,
like I've asked Jason Bottle that I don't know a
dozen times and I get the same kind of cautious answer.
I think if they're being honest with you, they expect
him to be here. Really, there's no other option. He's
going back to Spokane does nothing for him. And I
think we even saw that Saturday, to be honest with you, like,
(24:49):
you know all reports people I talked to you up there,
they said it was Berkeley Catton and everybody else, and
that was a both teams, and he was an NHL player.
The problem is, you know, is one hundred and eighty
five pounds, Yeah, is a little bit slight as he young,
and all those things. I think with World Juniors that
you can really manage it pretty well. He can be up,
doesn't have to be in the lineup every night, be
(25:09):
with the big club, practice with the big club when
they have practice, skate, all those things. Get in the
lineup sometimes here and there, go to World Juniors. Have that.
Then there's the Olympic break, and I think this is
a good year to Matt with the Olympic breaking. World Juniors,
I think you can manage it. There's just it's just
such a dumb rule, to be honest, with you not
being able to play in the HL. And I say
that as a guy that loves the dub loves the
Canadian Hockey League. That's where you guys know, that's where
(25:31):
I grew up. I mean, that's that's I think everything.
I think the world of what they do in that league.
But you know, it's just an archaic rules. There's should
be exceptions. Shane Wright was kind of one of them,
but he played as a fifteen year old and then
lost the year. So the expectations long answer, sorry, Donnie,
is he'll be in Seattle. I'd be stunned if he's
not like you're not going back to Spokane. You're not
(25:51):
going back and riding the buses and in the dub.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Good to know you grew up. Thanks for this, Ian.
Speaker 6 (25:58):
Well, I heard a lot of things today about my
age and everything else, and all of them are nice.
I kind of like it. This is a yeah, you
guys are nice on a Monday. I enjoyed that a
lot better Wednesday. You're a little bit more bitter.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
And you know, Kallas so negative negative as the week
rolls on, Yeah, we're we're known for that. Aunt. Thanks
for this next week.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
See you boys, talking to you.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Bet Anfnessa KGr Sports Radio, Cracking Hockey Network, Berkeley, Caton
Seattle UH draft pick eighth overall twenty twenty four, two
d and twenty five points. Last two seasons in Spokane
in the Western Hockey League seems like seems like he's
ready for the next step. Okay, a break, We'll deal

Experienced one of Victoria's iconic destinations, legendary sleep, sip and
stock up all in one legendary spot, Come sit and
stay at the dog The Waddling Dog today rick pretty
(27:42):
good time right now for Vancouver sports teams.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Oh boys, it ever absolutely.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
I love September this.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
I never got off the couch all weekend on.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
It was just.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
On the couch all weekend.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
But there's some stars to watch, which leads to our.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
Pool, especially in this city. Ryan get her up, Waddling
Dog pull question.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
Which of these players is most likely to lead the
Vancouver team to a championship you got Nathan Rourke, Thomas Mueller,
Quinn Hughes. I don't want to say this. You know,
it's tougher to win a Stanley Cup. Let's be honest, Donnie,
much tougher. We have won one here since nineteen seventy,
so we keep that in mind.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
But they haven't won a Stanley Cup. Vancouver has it, Yeah,
since nineteen seventy. I said, you made it sound like
they won in nineteen. I said, since seventy.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
Anyways, Thomas Mueller is leading at sixty eight percent, then
comes Hughes at eighteen and Nathan Rourke five hundred votes.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
We just posted it and there you go.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
But Thomas Mueller, Donnie, I was watching that white Caps game,
I have to, you know, and it was on TV.
I didn't have to go to Apple or go somewhere
else to find it, thank goodness. But anyways, how fun
was that to watch on Saturday at BC Place.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Yeah? A hat trick for Thomas Miller on his sixth
birthday and plus, as a matter of fact, he's been
great so far. He gets the three goals and one assist,
and take a look at the third goal, the goal
that the header and the game was out a hand
at this point in the eighty eighth minute, minutes seven
to nothing in the right position to pop that one in. Now.
(29:19):
As impressive as his performance was goals wise, and the
first two goals run on penalty kicks. Yeah, like honestly,
and look, he had a lot of help. This is
a really strong side. But I thought his most impressive
play was it was the assist week We got that
(29:40):
right to Emmanuel Sabby. This is in the sixty first minute,
and just the subtlety of this play was absolutely beautiful.
The outside of his foot and just spot teeing it
up for the left footer, just put it in the
perfect place. I just thought this was so great. This
is a you know what, I'm not going to sit
here for tannam a soccer effort, but there's just seems
(30:00):
to be a subtlety to his game that I'm not
sure people like me or you what it would appreciate.
But pretty pretty impressive stuff so far. And Rick sold
out sold out six thousand Laura Bowl at PC Place.
Speaker 5 (30:15):
And you know what, when you do get a superstar
in any sport, it helps, It helps attendance, it helps
your team on the pitch, the ice, the field.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Whatever.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
This guy's every single thing the white Caps told us
he was going to be when they brought him in,
and he's just He's a national, world, global superstar. And
the white Caps score seven goals against the best team
in the league, Donny without the way.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
They had the roxy the night before Philadelphia? Do we
know did they have the roxy? Flu?
Speaker 4 (30:41):
I don't like these white Caps uniforms. I had trouble watching.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
This is not Saturday. I had trouble watching Philadelphia is
usually in firms either they look weird too.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
But Donny, the way I get bet An asl M
Pilt the double blue, Yeah, I mean I didn't like that.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
But anyways, the White cap an uniforms.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
How did they score seven goals without Ryan Gold and
Brian White Whites out with a hamstring and Donnie best
team in the league, Philadelphia just absolutely pounded them into
the ground. Good for them. How can you not say
right now that the white Caps are one of possibly
three or four teams that could win it All this year.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
But you know, we were talking about whether or not
this was the biggest signing in Vancouver sports history, and
anybody who's a soccer fanc this is it this is.
This is and look, you can go back to the
old white Caps, the NASL white Caps when they got
Rudy Kroll and Alan Ball. What a big deal that
that was, Peter certainly, certainly in recent memory, this this
(31:39):
would be right up there for soccer folks, and you
and I argued that do Beret was was bigger for
the seiving globally though. You know, this is a huge,
huge deal and so far he's lived up the expectations.
I love watching him when he doesn't have the ball,
and that it's clear he's like another coach out there. Yep,
you know, all sorts of hand gestures, a lot of
(32:01):
a lot of talking out there, leading the way for
the younger players. It's pretty it's been. It's been pretty
impressive so far.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
He's going to be a manager someday, you could tell.
I mean, he's just got absolutely everything you want in
a player, absolutely studying and great signing by the white Caps.
Speaker 6 (32:17):
Well.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
The other thing too with Thomas Mueller is that it's
clear he knows he's got a job to do here
and it's not just about what you know, coming up
with three goals and one assist in an important game
like that, an important match like that. But he's also
been really really active around town and it's so social media,
(32:38):
and it looks like he really really wants to be
I know that he's making money and all that, and
he's playing living a dream life being a pro athlete
and all that, but that's not always the case. He
looks like he really wants to be here. He knows
how to sell the product, and that's really important right
now for the white Caps.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
And I'll tell you this. We haven't talked about it.
Speaker 5 (32:56):
The white Caps clinched their third playoff spot for the
third street year and they better not have to go
to Portland because of some motorcycles at.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
BC Placed on that's not gonna happen. Okay, Well, let's
make I got that right. Round the motocross doesn't line
up with the playoffs this time around.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
I believe that's that is correct this time around.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
Well Place, they better fix this because this looks like
a pretty good long playoff run coming up in Vancouver.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
They better not have any of this crap at BC Place. Yeah,
the world. The motocross event is happening Saturday, November fifteenth,
and that's that'll be the week the weekend break of
the MLS playoffs. Yeah, because the playoffs begin for the
wild Card on October the twenty second, and then it
goes from there. But there is the international break during
(33:42):
the playoffs, which sucks. It's not the best set up obviously,
but nothing the MLS can do about it.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
The rest of the soccer role does exactly exactly. But
I always I go on a lot on this show
about November nineteen ninety one as I go back in time,
but I go on a lot about November nineteen ninety
one and what a special time that was in Vancouver
because you had Doug Flutie performing magic for the for
the BC Lions. This is for for a month, month
(34:09):
and a half, and then Palvel Burra making his debut
for the Canucks, his first you know, a few weeks
with the vanka of Canucks. Was just so special and
you had that real short period of time. Pretty good
right now too. You know, I don't know if it's
going to reach those heights, but with Thomas Mueller, you know,
Nathan Rurc and Quinn he Is, these are you always
have any athlete who makes it to the pro level
(34:30):
as special, but especially show solo with these three guys.
These are three three pretty good athletes, not a bad
you know, I'm sure you know the Lions would like
to see a few more wins. Certainly the Canucks would.
But in terms of stars, it's not a bad time
for vankor Re Sports right now.
Speaker 5 (34:44):
And Nathan Rourke is Canadian, which is important. He's out
of all those guys, he's the one guy that's Canadian.
And he's making sure there's young kids out there that
want to be a quarterback, who say to their dad,
I want to be the next Nathan Rourke. That's important.
And Rourke for touchdowns first half against Ottawa Friday. He
was rocking and rolling. He has now led his offense,
(35:05):
doning to six straight games at thirty plus points. You
know who's the last guy to do it. You just
mentioned that guy, Doug Fluti in nineteen ninety one. Eight
straight games of over thirty points works at six. This
guy is on fire. The Lions, if they fixed their defense,
they can win the Great Cup take it to the bank.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Well, I think the big takeaway from that game, Nathan Rourke,
you expect greatness game in game out. The Lions got
that on the weekend on Friday, night again against Ottawa,
and that was an important winn because Ottawa stunned in
the week before and the Lions had a big lead.
But Nathan Rourke again outstanding. But I think the takeaway
was what happened with the defense and Matthew Betts four sacks.
(35:44):
He comes alive. They look completely different. Deontay Williams strip
Dustin crumb of the football and scooped up the ball,
winning for a touchdown. Yes, the two you know, two
or make that I guess five big moments for the
defense if you count the four sacks by Matthew Betts.
That was a real good sign for that team. I
(36:05):
think they're in a crossover spot right now.
Speaker 5 (36:07):
Well there you got a big one Friday in Calgary
against their old buddy Vernon Adams.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Yeah, and Nathan and Nathan Rourke right now, I would
think he would be the number one candidate for most
Outstanding Canadian, you know, but he'd be right there with
you know, Bowl Levi match for an outstanding uh at
the very least a possibility.
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Right, Yeah, absolutely, I think he's the best player in
the CFL right now.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
Nathan Rourke. The records not there though.
Speaker 5 (36:33):
Right that's because of their defense, and he says, and Donny,
he's missed two games. You know what, if he's in
those two games, they're not under five hundred.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
You mentioned it. Lions in Calgary on a Friday, they're
all big all the games. Okay, all right, we're good, Ryan, Right,
what are you going to talk about him? Big Ry?
We know you got to do Abel. What am I
going to talk about? I have? I have things. So
because you and I were competing for a story, that's
(37:02):
why I was.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Oh no, you guys mentioned, by the way, another seller
for the white Caps. Did you mention them?
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Yeah? Yeah, the volume, the volume is still not good.
By the way, my head sat.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
We literally didn't touch anything. So maybe there's a chance
you're hearing just over the last few days.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
Well there's a good chance exactly. Okay. Wednesday Able Auctions,
our title sponsored Able Auctions will sell the contents of

(39:24):
Great big Rye.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
First of all, just a quick shout out to our
good buddy Pedrum. He sent us cards last week to
kick off our return for another season on the show.
So I want to say hi to Pedrum. That guy
tunes into every show, one of the nice or Vancouver
and I was just about to say that as well.
Kind So we gentle soul, we really appreciate Pedrum, and
so I want to just say a quick shout out
(39:47):
to him. Also, our continuing quest to get through all
of our backlog of photos from the off season goes on.
This is from Roy. He sent us this went to
visit my daughter at you, Vick, but had to stock
up at the Waddling Dog first. So there he is
in the Waddling Dog Liquor Store with the D and
D bucket hat, D and D tuke I believe, and
(40:07):
two D and D t shirts as well.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
A great photo.
Speaker 4 (40:10):
So thank you to Roy for picking up some merchants
some other goodies at the Waddling Dog Liquor Store.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Great photo, great photo, Yeah, love it, thanks to Roy.
Speaker 4 (40:20):
One other one here, Nick from Maple Ridge, my wife
Jude and I spent Canada Day in Victoria. We attended
the celebrations on the Legislative grounds. We also enjoyed a
meal at the Waddling Dog Pub. Great food and atmosphere.
Love this show. So that is Nick from Maple Ridge.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Back on Canada to Day. Yeah, we all do have
a backlog, we do, we do.
Speaker 4 (40:41):
Thank you so much. Thank you, great photo and thank
you everyone for going by the Watling Dog. Uh and
uh also the Bayside as well. Don't forget you can
get our merchandise there.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
Shot a Nick again. Hold on one second, I'm not
sure how old he is. I guess he's I'm gonna
guess he's look at the hairly guy. Yeah, looks.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
Don you remember Donahue Back in the eighties one of
the first talk shows was wasn't.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
He the first, like shock jock or shock talk show?
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Like he was up there?
Speaker 8 (41:12):
He was?
Speaker 4 (41:13):
Steve Springer asked, right, Yeah, Jerry Springer. There's no doubt
who my favorite was? Jerry Springer? What did I say, Steve?
Who's Steve Springer? At least I didn't say George Springer.
It could have been worse, but I'm jealous of that hair.
Absolutely the best shock talk show ever hosted the show.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
No question about it. Morton Downey Jr. A little obscure
for some people, but it was. I remember I with
a Canuck Show when I was hanging around the dress
but they used to race home to watch that guy. Really,
Oh my gosh. It was just insane. And Chris Elliot
used to do a spoof on him on Letterman. It
was at right, all right, nineteen eighties. Somebody out there.
Speaker 4 (41:56):
Remembers, somebody will probably Hi, Yeah, okay, I want to
get this. A couple things in from the weekend that
I saw. First of all, John Daily, did you guys
see this?
Speaker 1 (42:08):
No?
Speaker 4 (42:09):
John Daily playing in a PGA Tour champions event he sat,
he set a record. He posted a nineteen on the
on the par five twelfth hole at the Sanford International
in the Minnehea Country Club. Okay, he posted a nineteen
(42:31):
footage of the incident. You could say it was not
immediately clear and they don't have the same laser shot
technology like PGA regular events do, so you had to
just follow along. But he had multiples going to the hazard.
I believe he was at When.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
You say incident, did something happen?
Speaker 4 (42:50):
No, Like he just no, no, no, no no, he just
struggled on the whole way. You can see you can
see the rundown there on the left side of your screen.
I know the font isn't huge, but it shows you
that lot of penalties in there. But yeah, seventeenth shot
after going in the water, seven shots into the hazard
he had, so his seventeenth shot was on the collar
(43:10):
of the green and he got up and down from there.
So props to him there, up and down to post
the nineteen. He ended up withdrawing from the event. Tin
cup Like, yeah, a nineteen. I don't think I've ever
had a nineteen. I don't know if I've had one
that bad.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
I mean, I think we've all had nineteen.
Speaker 4 (43:26):
I mean I used to think double par, Right, isn't
that the thing for like us? You go double double
par max?
Speaker 1 (43:33):
Right?
Speaker 4 (43:33):
Isn't that what we do like our casual golfers out there.
So I don't know if I actually do ye, but yeah,
it was by the way, it was his Uh, it
broke his previous record in nineteen ninety eight he had
he posted at an eighteen that was during a PGA
Tour event where he apparently hit a three wood into
(43:55):
the water six straight times. Oh my gosh, back in
ninety eight. So posting a nineteen John Day over the
weekend Champions Tour event before withdrawing definitely one of us moment.
There's a lot of people pointing that out that it's
kind of something we would do on the golf course. Okay.
Another thing from the weekend NFL Dolphins home opener in Miami.
Of course, they stuck up the joint in the week
(44:16):
number one so home opener for the Dolphins. Check Out
this banner that was flying over top of the stadium
before the game. Fans raised money to fly a banner
that says fire career fire McDaniel. Okay, during his postgame,
they lost, by the way again thirty three to twenty
seven did the Dolphins.
Speaker 1 (44:37):
So now they're zero to two on the season.
Speaker 4 (44:39):
Mike McDaniel's saying quote after the game, I was coaching
and calling a football game. I wasn't spending my time
considering what the fans were doing at all. Fans want
their team to win, so I figure that if we
win football games. I don't think it's personal. I think
they want to win, and so do I.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
Well, we've seen this before in Vancouver. Remember the fire
Benny fire Jim Benny. Yeah, fire Jim Benning. We saw
that here. Yeah, group of fans bought that voice the plane.
Speaker 4 (45:05):
Yeah but okay, was that not in like March or February.
This is after this was the one game. This is
before their second game of the season. I mean, so
much love for him too, yeah, Daniel, But I feel
like it's starting to run in a little because it
seems like like every hardcore football analyst out there, whether
(45:26):
it's like Rex Ryan, has really been hammering him on ESPN.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
You honestly think, like right off the hop that Rex
Ryan was gonna like that, No, not at all.
Speaker 4 (45:34):
Just looks not at all and he does things a
bit different than fair. But it just like all like
people just call them soft and they seem unprepared, like
those words are not great, and he kind of his
press confidence. He kind of just seems like a yeah,
and that's not a great look different the.
Speaker 1 (45:51):
Worst thing, yes, the worst way you can look at it.
Speaker 4 (45:54):
Right, As a leader, you're supposed to be like the
head leader. Yeah, you're supposed to be a leader, and
this is what's happening like And even yesterday when he
talked about his future, he was kind of like, you know,
I'm just gonna continue to coach as long as I
could coach for like he would hate that. Yeah, yes,
uh okay. One final thing I want to get to
(46:17):
this is from yesterday. Oh hold on the Canucks and
Krake and we're not the only team, uh doing like
a prospect showcase over the weekend. King's Ducks also did
Rick passes along to me. I don't know if you
guys saw this the Ducks goaltender. Uh was it Matt Wash?
Do I have that right?
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (46:38):
No, no, No, Thomas suit SHIPU.
Speaker 9 (46:45):
Su see h A n e K What would you say,
Ryan s u c H hold on A N e
k y k.
Speaker 5 (46:57):
Yeah, such a neck, yeah, suit a neck or such
a to the you can run it the first name
you're I was, I was blending two names together.
Speaker 4 (47:06):
Okay, puck goes down the ice, goaltender, he's gonna ribbon
around behind it.
Speaker 6 (47:10):
He's not.
Speaker 4 (47:11):
He's gonna put it into his goal instead.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
Oh you feel for him.
Speaker 5 (47:13):
I hate these I just feel for these guys. People laugh,
people are gonna.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
Rip and to them, I feel for him.
Speaker 4 (47:20):
I'm honestly surprised this doesn't happen more.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
Why, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (47:26):
Because it's you're doing things so fast as the goaltender,
you know what I mean, Like you're you're gathering the
puck down the end and you're trying to just you know,
pass it along, and you're.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
Under you're under pressure.
Speaker 4 (47:39):
But that's what I mean.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
A couple of plays come to mind, not a goal,
but Defens been large largely lingering back in the day
for the Canucks in a regular season game and Edmonton
score it in his own neck. The other thing, when
it comes to goaltender mistakes, I mean, there's there's been
a lot of them through the years, but Patrick wah
showboating with the puck in his Oh yeah, yes against
the arch rival, put drops out of the glove and
(48:03):
the red wing score. Yeah. But he's not all that likable,
So I was okay with that. This.
Speaker 4 (48:08):
I do feel bad for the kid. You know, teammates
go over top the pad. Mean, what can you do?
Speaker 1 (48:13):
He's in a prospect showcase. Yeah, I'm going to guess
that he is. He gonna be in the National Hockey League.
I don't know. I don't know. I know, I don't know.
I don't know, but this is gonna be if he
doesn't the lasting memory.
Speaker 4 (48:24):
Now, he's a big kid. Look at him, Donny, that's
a big gold tender. He's six foot tall. I'm trying
to figure out six feet is big. No, he looks
big because of the equipment done.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
I didn't say he was six y four. He's thick.
He looks thick. He looks like a linebacker. I'm trying
to see where he got drafted to know if he's
gonna make it or not. Are you still on suit
your neck?
Speaker 4 (48:43):
Why not? That's the You've done well with him with
his name there anyway, I don't have it before.
Speaker 1 (48:49):
You thought he was a big guy and he looked thick.
He looked thick.
Speaker 4 (48:53):
That's why I have him listed as six foot one. Huh,
six foot one. It's his way, his way, one hundred
and eighty one pounds. Why does he look so big.
Speaker 1 (49:03):
He's got goaltender equipment on. I'm telling you he looks thick.
You don't speaking of witch ed Jackaman, who left us
at the age of eighty six today five eleven.
Speaker 4 (49:14):
You don't see that anymore.
Speaker 1 (49:16):
Just all these you know, goaltenders who ed Jockman never
looked hulking. But even the guys who looked big you
look back, and then they were so small.
Speaker 4 (49:25):
Back in the day, undrafted by the way. Suit your neck,
this guy, suit your neck. Yeah, there you go, anyway
coming up? Now, you know what, I guarantee you. I
shouldn't guarantee you, but I bet if you ask Button,
he would probably know about this guy. There's a few
players Craig Button does not know about. But we'll talk
to Craig a day earlier in the normal because he's traveling.
Craig is up your neck. Come on now, Craig is
(49:47):
up next to Donny dellmy tea check.
Speaker 1 (49:51):

Motors dot colin As. We're join now day early by
TSN Scotting Director Craig Button. Craig, thanks for doing this, sir,
(50:46):
How are you well?
Speaker 3 (50:48):
Thanks for having me a day early.
Speaker 10 (50:50):
I got to travel tomorrow, so Ryan Anderson and you
and Rick were very gracious and allow me on Monday.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
No problem, Craig. We're gonna start this off if you
if you don't mind. On a note, Ed Jockaman Rangers
great These number one has been retired by the Rangers,
has left us, has passed away at the age of
eighty six. Your memories of Hall of Famer ed Jockaman.
Speaker 10 (51:13):
Well, one of the things that really stood out to
me with Eddie was the fact that how technically sound
he was, and he was a I mean, we look
back at that era of goaltenders. There was a lot
of smaller goaltenders at that time. You think of Gump Worsley,
you think of Rogey vash On, but Eddie Jackman was
like a statuesque goaltender, stood up really technically sound, and
(51:35):
you start to think about some of the goaltenders that
were when you think about the New York Rangers, you
think about Eddie Jackman, you think about John Davidson, you
think about Mike Richter, you think about Henrik Luntwist and
now leaguers has tooken. I mean, it's almost like they
were cut from similar moles. But when you think about
that lineage of great goaltenders that have come through the
(51:56):
New York Rangers organization for over half century, beyond impressive.
And you know, Jockman was what was was a top
top all tener in the league for a lot of
years on some really good teams.
Speaker 1 (52:11):
As with a Jill Viillmer back in nineteen seventy one. Hey, Craig,
a tough turn, We're going to take it. And by
the way, you're not supposed to mention the name of
Mike richteror to Vancouver, just just so you know, for
future reference, is.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
That because he saw Tavo Burry and.
Speaker 1 (52:28):
Well everything that happened with Mike Richtor and the Canucks
in ninety four. You can limp it all the time. Hey,
Cannucks versus kracking prospect a showcase over the weekend in
Washington State. Canucks twenty twenty three fourth rounder Wilmer Arlingson
very was very impressive, especially on Saturday's go to very
nice goal. What do he thinks in his future?
Speaker 10 (52:49):
I mean, first of all, you're looking at a big,
big player, and I think we talked Yeah, I think
we talked about this last year. Those players you have
to allow their coordination to take place. You have to
let them get their their legs underneath them, so to speak.
And you know, he's always been a good thinker in
the game. He's always had good hands in the game.
Now it's trying to get that physical maturity to catch
(53:11):
up with the length that he has, and then that's
that sometimes takes a little bit longer than a shorter
period of time with smaller players, But when you can
think and you can handle the pot, and there's been
a steady progression in that physical maturity which has helped
them become better skater, which has helped to become more assertive.
And now when he imposes himself on opponents with that size,
(53:33):
he becomes.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
A very, very difficult player to handle.
Speaker 10 (53:37):
So when you're looking at a prospect drafted at that
point in the draft and you see the steady progression,
there can only be smiles on the banks over connect
scouting staff spaces because this is the type of player
when we talk about, you know, taking a chance on
somebody that you feel has something.
Speaker 3 (53:53):
I think he's a great example of that.
Speaker 5 (53:56):
Hey, Craig, you know, Quintin Hughes still got two years
to decide if he's going to sign a Vancouver. Of course,
everyone's panicking already. You know that it's Vancouver. What about McDavid.
He hasn't signed in Edmonton, Capriceoft hasn't signed in Minnesota.
Speaker 4 (54:08):
What about these guys not signing. How concerned are you.
Speaker 10 (54:12):
Well, one of the things recognized. I mean, obviously those
markets Minnesota, Vancouver, Edmonton might have a little bit greater concerned.
I mean we got a year with Caprice Off, the
year with McDavid, obviously two with Clint Hughes. You know,
one of the things that I think that a lot
of players are watching.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
These players are going to be benchmarks in mind.
Speaker 10 (54:32):
You Yeah, They're gonna be benchmarks not just for what
they what they ultimately decide, what term they decide, or.
Speaker 3 (54:39):
If they decide to watch.
Speaker 10 (54:40):
Because I believe that if one to all three of
those players decide that they're going to free agency, the
free agent market is going to explode like we've never
seen in the NHL.
Speaker 3 (54:52):
We're gonna see players going no.
Speaker 10 (54:53):
I'll play it out because you know, we see the
cap going up, and we see teams that are now
looking to have to sp more money to even be
at the floor. So, like I said, if any number
of these players, if all three of them go, I
think there'll be an explosion in the free agent market
and teams might very well have to assess.
Speaker 11 (55:13):
All they give out no move contracts or no trade
contracts early on in a player's career, because if you're signed,
Let's say you're signing Caprice Off and he wants to
sign for nine.
Speaker 10 (55:23):
Point five the current contract he has. Yeah, you're getting
nine point five, but we're not giving you a no
trade because we don't want to be left vulnerable. So
I think it works that cuts both ways.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
But that's what I see right now.
Speaker 10 (55:34):
And of course there'll be no lack of discussion, speculation,
rumors that will bound surrounding these three players.
Speaker 5 (55:42):
All right, Training camps start this week. Great, get ready,
it's around the corner. What Canadian team in the offseason
made the most improvement in your eyes, out of all
of them.
Speaker 3 (55:56):
Yeah, I think it's a really good question. I like
what Edmonton.
Speaker 10 (56:00):
I like the fact that you know they're opening up
some room for Manny Savoy and I just saw him
playing yesterday in the Prospects game. He was heading shoulders,
the best player in the game. You know, they traded
for Issac Coward. They're trying to get more offense around
around dry Citle in that top part of their lineup.
I think that that's really really positive for them, and
(56:21):
we'll see how it shakes out. I also believe that
the Vancouver Cannucks getting some stability in their lineup Denco
back healthy is only going to help. We saw what
Lana King can do. Besser coming back committee to the
final Garland committee. I think that that's going to help
the Vancouver Connects. There was so much drama around the
(56:41):
team last year that then then it took away from
from their objectives and I don't think anybody would argue
with that. The Winnipeg Jackson, like, I mean, they're as
good a team as they were last year. They lose
Nick Lai Eeelers, that's significant. Montreal Canadians are very much
a team and let this to grow and I don't
know if they did anything significant adding no Adophsin's pretty important.
Speaker 3 (57:05):
Ottawa Toronto, I.
Speaker 10 (57:06):
Don't really see what they've died to improved team. I
think Toronto has become the weakest after the end of
last season. Then any of the other stam the Canadian teams.
We know where caliberg's at, but I would put Edmonton
and Vancouver at the top, followed by the Kayes.
Speaker 3 (57:24):
There's no Adolphsin's that good a player.
Speaker 1 (57:26):
Yeah, Craig back to what the connection crack and were
up to on the weekend. UH Berkeley Catton played one game,
the Saturday game, and he was very, very impressive, much
like Wilmer Arlikson. UH reportedly the best player on the
ice on Saturday, Big Big numbers with with Spokane eighth
(57:46):
overall draft pick a couple a couple of years ago.
What's what's in his future?
Speaker 3 (57:51):
Yeah, I think he's a terrific player.
Speaker 10 (57:53):
He's got a bowler that res at high RPMs. He
plays the game completely in every single regard. The excellent
pedally killer is Obviously, the numbers offensively speak for themselves.
But one of the things I watch with young players,
and you know there's gonna be a lot of that
physical development when you watch younger players.
Speaker 3 (58:12):
I had never seen Berkeley Catton pushed out of the game.
Speaker 10 (58:15):
He might not have been a strong enough to hold
his own, but he was never pushed out of a game.
Speaker 3 (58:19):
Was of a lack of will, from the lack of
I'm going to dilate, I call it being wired. I
think he's wired. He's wired to win.
Speaker 10 (58:27):
He's wired to do whatever it takes to help your
team win if he's available for Team candidateth the World
Junior I have no question by mind he'll be the captain,
but he very well maybe ready for the NHL because
he's not only just a highly competitive player, he's highly
stealed player and a very smart player. And I think
you combine all those things together and a team that
(58:48):
needs offense, Berkeley Catton very well maybe starting the year
in Seattle.
Speaker 1 (58:52):
Do you mind me asking where you're headed? Is it
an assignment?
Speaker 3 (58:56):
I'm going to Toronto.
Speaker 10 (58:57):
We're gonna do We're gonna do a draft review show
with a little bit Obviously Bob McKenzie has done it
for for years.
Speaker 3 (59:05):
I mean, he's he's.
Speaker 10 (59:06):
Gotten no equal, he's got nobody even close to him
as a second. But we're gonna just try to give
a glimpse of what the top half of the first
round that at this early point of the season will
look like.
Speaker 3 (59:15):
Frankie Carono and I are gonna work together on.
Speaker 10 (59:18):
It, and on the show, I mean, you talk to
different people, and obviously I'm out there watching the players,
so we get a lot of the insights and we're just.
Speaker 3 (59:27):
Gonna do that. We're gonna do that.
Speaker 10 (59:30):
We're gonna take that show on Wednesday morning for showing
later on that day and.
Speaker 3 (59:36):
Later on in the evening.
Speaker 1 (59:37):
Only in Canada that would happen, Craig, Just so you know,
Canucks have it time despite way you just said, they're
gonna have a tough season, they're gonna win the lottery
and they're gonna draft Gavin McKenna. Here's your show right there.
Take it to the bank.
Speaker 3 (59:49):
Okay, well, I'll make sure to mention it.
Speaker 1 (59:52):
Okay, all right, deal, Okay, thanks, thanks Craig, I appreciate it.
Craig Button tsn scou outing director somebody else again, this
is tough to talk, but we mentioned ed Jockman passing
at the age of eighty six. Bob Goodnow, former NHL
executive NHLPA executive director, has left us suddenly at the
(01:00:13):
age of seventy two. Jamie's on the show tomorrow, right
even so, Jamie McCleary, we can talk to him about
Bob Goodnow to a couple of lockouts. He was a
responsorle in part for salary disclosure. There's a lot there
with him. Tough negotiator, you bet. Okay, let's take a break.
We'll update the pull question next. Donnie tell the team on.
Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
Jack, Dolly and Dolly.
Speaker 7 (01:00:37):

Wadley dog Pole questioned experience one of Victoria's iconic testedass
sleep sip and stuck up all one legendary spot, come
sit and stay at the dock The Watling Dog rick Today.
Speaker 5 (01:01:32):
Ryan get her up the Watling Dog poll question which
of these players most likely to lead the Vancouver team
to a championship? You got Nathan Rourke, Thomas Mueller, and
Quinn Hughes and leading the way. Thomas Mueller sixty six percent.
He just had the hat trick on one assist on Saturday.
And then comes Quinny Hughes at twenty one percent. Then
Nathan Rourke of thirteen percent. Six hundred and eighty nine
(01:01:53):
votes already. So there you go, Thomas Mueller. What is
it he's in our minds, Donny, because he just scored
the hat trick. That's why he's leading this pole.
Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
Very very true, And a lot of listeners and viewers
have made the point in the inbox that Stanley Cup's
very difficult to win, very difficult to win. And we
know that in this in terms of games played, what
you have to do in the NHL playoffs versus CFL
or MLS playoffs. So keep that in mind when it
(01:02:27):
comes to Quinn Hughes not winning this poll. Plus, you
know he's Thomas Miller front and center in our minds
right because of what happened on Saturday. It was impressible.
But I'll say what I've said throughout the show today,
it's pretty good time for VANK Sports. Yeah, you'd like
to see more wins from the Lions. But in terms
of having stars, Nathan Morrik, Thomas Miller, Quinn Hughes, all
(01:02:48):
three very special.
Speaker 5 (01:02:50):
And Nathan Rurke is the best Canadian quarterback in the
CFL all the time. Don It's not even close. Really,
Well who going.
Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
Well, there you go. I thought you were an old
time I.
Speaker 4 (01:03:03):
Know Russ Jackson, but I mean what Nathan is doing
and what.
Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
He's gonna he's on. It seems like he's on his way,
his way, and let's not forget. Let's say he's on
his way. Let's not forget. Julia. O'll care of that.
Speaker 4 (01:03:14):
Our good pal, My good pal. You're good pal.
Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Julia. Tell you somebody else who maybe not might not
have a few, might not have any more good pals.
Ken Rosenthal, Oh, a reporter who's he worked for Fox.
If I'm not mistaken, Brian uh Strange situation Saturday against
in broadcasting a Brewers game. Afterwards, actually after a walk
(01:03:40):
off celebration. Ken Rosenthal very well respected the bow Ties,
you know him, bow Ties interviewing Andrew Monasterio. After the
Rookies clutch single beat the Cardinals nine to eight, so
his teammates approached gatorade shower. Rosenthal stepped back to avoid
getting soaked. He ran and to the Brewers team photographer,
(01:04:02):
a kid by the name of Scott Poulas you see this,
he knocked him over in the process, didn't help him up, No,
and then only that he walked away. Look at him
shaking his head here like like he's disgusted kid lying
on the ground. And eventually Scott did get some help
from somebody. But the shaking of the head, it looks
(01:04:22):
really bad. Now, come up with an apology. We got
have we got the event? Ken Rosenthal very well respected,
but I wonder, you know, is there another side to him?
We got the apology, Ryan, Okay, all right, rock and roll, Derek.
Speaker 8 (01:04:36):
I want to talk about what happens Saturday night when
I accidentally bowled over Scott Ballis Paulus, the Brewer's team photographer,
while I was getting out of the way of the
Brewers dumping water on Andrew Monasterium. Now, the ever observant
AJ Prazinski joked afterward that I looked like Muhammad Ali
standing over Sonny.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
Listen.
Speaker 8 (01:04:58):
Now, Aj, of course, is more experience in these kinds
of interactions than I am. And I must admit, though,
when I looked at the video, when I saw this,
I was surprised at how upset I appeared. I was
more confused than anything. Now I had to continue the interview.
We were live folks on national television.
Speaker 3 (01:05:19):
Couldn't stop.
Speaker 8 (01:05:21):
And that said, I felt awful about what happened, and
afterward I went up to Scott, who I've worked with
in Pitts before over the years, and I apologized, and
I apologized profusely, because let's face it, I don't think
that you ever expect knocking someone down is going to
happen in any particular situation. So yeah, sure, I apologized.
(01:05:42):
And Fox is doing the American League playoffs this year,
so I won't see the Brewers again unless it's the
World Series. But if I do see the Brewers in
the World Series, I look forward to working with Scott
again in the photo pit, and I also look forward
to sharing a good laugh.
Speaker 6 (01:05:56):
With him over this.
Speaker 5 (01:06:00):
You buyd that I think he got some heat. I
think he got some heat from people. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
he got some heat. And then he apologized. But again,
now you go to a game, don there's forty thousand
cell phones cameras everywhere. This is in eighty one eighty two.
That was part of the understand that, but you're gonna
get busted if you dirty looks this. That everyone's getting busted.
(01:06:22):
We don't live in a a private world anymore thanks
to cell phones and photos.
Speaker 4 (01:06:27):
I know this was, but I'm just telling.
Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
You he's a smart guy. Kah Rosenthal, Oh big time?
How was he confused? Yeah, you knock somebody oversaw the video?
What's confusing about that? And I didn't one thing he
didn't address in the apology, and good on him for apologizing,
I think, but he didn't address the head shape. What
was with him shaking his head seemingly in disgust, Like,
(01:06:52):
what did you think happened there? You knock somebody over,
even if it's on you're on live television. And by
the way, you look bad on live television shaking your head.
Help the guy up. One thing you learn as a
reporter when you're when you're in television, the camera people
are sacred and I don't mean to use that word
(01:07:13):
good guy lately, but they're they're part of your team,
whether they're with you, working with you, or they're working
with someone else. Those guys can make her break you.
Those people can can make her break you. You you
treat them with total respect, And I just don't get
the whole situation. When he talks about being confused, it's
(01:07:35):
kind of obviously what happened. Ken Roosevehal is a very
smart guy. He looked bad there. He could have done
a little bit more with that apology, I think not
sincere Yeah, mom, should you know? Eventually time will pass
and they'll they'll laugh about it. But I thought differently
of them. There.
Speaker 4 (01:07:52):
There's a lot of people, though, I will say, quote
tweeting that or reposting that or whatever and saying like,
I'm glad people are seeing the smarmy side. In other
words of Ken Rosenthal, I don't necessarily know how incredibly
liked he is by baseball fans. I don't even I
don't know about players and teams and all.
Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
That, but insider information, Yeah, I just I just real
bad luck. I'm sorry the shaking of the head. I
had more problems with the well, first of all, not
helping him up. That's the thing. I don't buy the
excuse of it's it's on live television, so yeah, exactly,
your your live help. What were you doing in the
meantime you're shaking your head and discuss them and looking back?
Speaker 4 (01:08:35):
Yeah, but Donny, you've brought this up a lot. Why
is it when people knock somebody else over, they just
like pretend like it didn't happen. You see it a
lot on NFL sidelines, like a player goes to make
the catch for the ball and in the process they
knock over somebody a sound person or a photographer whatever,
and like, I get it, you gotta get back in
the play. But just like a two second.
Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
I do see you do see it once in a
while where a player will help but not sound.
Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
The majority is they do. And I just don't get like,
I know, you're in the game and all that stuff,
and but.
Speaker 1 (01:09:08):
You know, you just and you know, Okay, here's the
other thing. We don't know this. Maybe this wasn't the
case here from what I understand, Maybe something happens after
the game. Hey, sorry about that. Maybe whatever they maybe
maybe Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:09:22):
It's just not a great look. He got busted. He
got busted by live TV, and yeah, now you apologize. Yeah,
I think you are right, Like I think he got busted.
Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
And it looked and lookally and figuratively that photographer looked beneath.
Speaker 4 (01:09:35):
Yes, yeah, well it was like, what are you doing
so close to me?
Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
Yeah kind of yeah, Okay, why why are we so
concerned about the water and the gatorade.
Speaker 4 (01:09:46):
Shower, Like so you get a little wet, so the
reporters run out of the way, like oh, my God, Like,
you'll be fine. If you get a little wet, it'll
be okay.
Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
Well, the gatorade shower is now the baseball slash football
equivalent of the rookie lap in the NHL. You know
what's coming, and yeah, just you put up with it.
But maybe Ken Resilent Roose of all didn't realize it
it was coming, which he should have. Pastime, Oh, good luck,
big news from pastime. Oh we got big news.
Speaker 5 (01:10:19):
Okay, well, let's go check out the largest selection of
sports member billy autographed items trading cards in credible games
in Western Canada.
Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Pastime Sports. Look at this. Pastime Sports and Langley just.
Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
Announced two signings featuring Connor Garland Sunday, October fifth, Jake
debrask Saturday, November twenty second.
Speaker 6 (01:10:39):

five Emmys were held yesterday Sunday in Los Angeles. I
know you watched it. The Studio, The Studio, Canadian Connection there.
The studio set an Emmy record. It's an Apple TV show.
Have you seen it? No? It's fabulous, terrific. The studio
set an Emmy record for most wins by a comedy
(01:13:42):
thirteen in all, including Best Comedy Series and Lead Actor
in a Comedy Series for co creator Seth Rogan, who
came up with the idea for the studio, along with,
among others, fellow Vancouver right Evan Goldberg. They've collaborated on
a lot. The studio entered the Emmy festivities with twenty
three nominations. How about that The Penguin which I started
(01:14:05):
watching that I kind of dropped off. It didn't grab
me like the Studio. The Penguin was next in line
behind the Studio, collecting nine Emmys, followed by Adolescents, Severance
and SNL's fiftieth Anniversary Special with eight each. Stephen Colbert Ryan,
a favorite of yours who's been fired by CBS. He's
(01:14:26):
on his last legs. One for Best Talk Show You
Parting Gift his first ever Emmy. How bad are late
night talk shows? Right now? If Stephen Colbert wins an
Emmy for Best Talk Shows, I'm sorry, not good, not good.
I'm sorry, But boy, I tell you, if you haven't
seen the Studio, there's so much to like about it.
(01:14:48):
And Seth Rogan winning Best Actor. And I haven't seen
all the nominees, obviously, but maybe it's not obvious. But
I haven't seen all the nominees. But Seth Rogan not
only is he's like he comes across well with the
spoken words, but he does a lot of physical stuff
in the studios is really good exactly, He's really good
(01:15:10):
in it. And proud Vancouver right as well. Oh, it's
a good show. It's a good show. And it's been
as you would expect it's been. It's been renewed by Apple.
Apple's got a lot of good shows right now.
Speaker 4 (01:15:20):
The Morning Show is just about to come back as well.
Speaker 1 (01:15:22):

Looks great, feels great to play great that whenever the
lines have those uniforms, the third jersey, they do really well.
Speaker 1 (01:22:43):
I don't like where those hits. I don't like them.
Speaker 4 (01:22:45):
Don I want the orange from Empire Stadium.
Speaker 1 (01:22:49):
Back I agree with you, I want the orange back

Oh so good? Is it just me, Donnie? This is
(01:23:12):
from Perry and Vancouver. Is it just me? Donnie? And
Rick keep ragging on Ryan about the seats at Roger's Arena.
But if Donnie or Rick ever sat in those seats.
They only go to a game if they get an
invitation for a luxury suite. Does this guy know us?
Speaker 5 (01:23:26):
I went to a Canucks game last year. I sat
up in that what's that restaurant?
Speaker 1 (01:23:29):
Sports bar?
Speaker 4 (01:23:31):
Yeah, I sat up there. I haven't been in to
see y'all. Don't sit with the people in the upper
bowl like me with the hard word.
Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
I have to get an invitation because I can't afford. Yeah,
exactly what it is, exactly I gotta say.
Speaker 4 (01:23:46):
Brian Adams, by the way, very reasonably priced tickets. My
tickets with Ryan I was like sixty bucks something, not
bad at all.
Speaker 1 (01:23:52):

Speaker 4 (01:23:59):
Oh fantastic. Oh, it's like it's third to last or
something like that. The best video he's ever put up too.
Speaker 5 (01:24:04):
Uh, sixty percent price increase for the season ticket members
in four years, Aquallini didn't pay for the new seats
and the ice plant. The season ticket holders did. That's
from a JP not Bury submission of the year right there,
right there, bang on it. It's the people who keep
buying tickets and the owner says, no matter how much
I lose, they keep paying, So I'm gonna use that money.
(01:24:27):
They need to go down to eight thousand a game
before this owner matter does.
Speaker 1 (01:24:31):
Sounds like you want that to happen, Doughter, You kidding me?
We're getting old.
Speaker 4 (01:24:36):
You want to see a cup. We don't want to
see him go down.
Speaker 1 (01:24:39):
Yeah, you know what to do? Rebuilt RP and White Rock.
Is it just me? MLS would be drooling about the
possibility of a Vancouver versus Miami final, Miller versus Muller
versus MESSI A lot of ms there that would be
ideal exactly, Big Man Glibble Superstars. Yeah, that would be
(01:25:02):
huge TV ratings for the MLS for Joe. Is it
just me? I thought Ricky used to wear a Bradua
jersey while playing Golian street hockey. But he doesn't know
his birthday.
Speaker 5 (01:25:12):
Stop it this guy. You know what, I was never
the Golian street hockey. I was always the guy.
Speaker 1 (01:25:17):
I don't think that's the issue.
Speaker 5 (01:25:18):
Donny I had Donny, I had great hands. I scored
a ton of goals. That was always the first guy
picked with the jersey, not with the jersey. Look at this,
are you guys going to talk about the Blue Jays
poll question? Who would you rather hear about the sea
rafts from Seattle or the Blue Jays from Canada?
Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
Well, look, I we talked about this before the show.
When is the last time you remember the I stand
to be corrected here. When is the last time you
remember the Mariners and Blue Jays being first place ball
clubs so late in the season exactly? You know helped
me out here? Has that happened before? I know they
met in the playoffs just a few years recently, but
(01:25:57):
for first place teams. But it's pretty good times for baseball.
If you care about the Blue Jays or Vancouver's other team,
the Mariners.
Speaker 4 (01:26:07):
It's blue Jays. I mean, this is not an argument.
They're Canadians, so you vote for them?
Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
Yeah, I know, I know.
Speaker 5 (01:26:17):
So you think an American team down You ripped me
for going to bellis fair, but you're gonna go cheer
for an American team.
Speaker 1 (01:26:23):
The city of Toronto wants to be the States. They're
kind of canad We lost.
Speaker 5 (01:26:27):
The Expos, which was bs. The Blue Jays are the
only major League Baseball you vote for.
Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
That, I'm aware of that. But Seattle's just down the road.
You don't feel like case, So.
Speaker 4 (01:26:37):
You're going to vote for the Kraken now when they
play the Canucks.
Speaker 5 (01:26:41):
No, but I don't have a choice with I'll tell
you something right now. These people that vote for the
Mariners that they make me sick. It should be blue
Jays all the way.
Speaker 1 (01:26:53):
Man, you were you, I don't want you should move
to Toronto.
Speaker 5 (01:26:57):
We have one major corporate DoD we have one major
league baseball team in Canada, and you're gonna vote for
an American city two hours down the highway.
Speaker 1 (01:27:05):
You've been laid off a million times by you know, the.
Speaker 5 (01:27:08):
Corporate types in Toronto, but you're still those suits in Toronto.
There they are idiots. They've ruined Vancouver Radio but I'm
telling you Blue Jays all the way.
Speaker 1 (01:27:19):
Bottom line though they're both in first place, headed to
the headed to the playoffs. Yeah, and I'm not just
sure that's happened before Okay, break will wrap up the show.
In the poll question next, Donian Dolly the team on, check.
Speaker 5 (01:27:33):
Ygl Rick, Ryan get her up the Waddling Dog on
poll question, which of these players is most likely to
lead their Vancouver team to a championship?
Speaker 4 (01:27:42):
Look at this? Sixty six percent say Thomas Mueller.
Speaker 1 (01:27:46):
Is it? Is it Mueller or Muller?
Speaker 4 (01:27:48):
I think it's actually Muller.
Speaker 1 (01:27:50):
Eh.
Speaker 4 (01:27:51):
I think it's Muller.
Speaker 1 (01:27:52):
Muller.
Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
Yeah, I've heard both.
Speaker 6 (01:27:56):
I've heard people in Man.
Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
I've heard buff and Rough say Mueller, Elias or Elias
eh Peterson. What did we hear from the play by play? Folks,
it's Mueller?
Speaker 4 (01:28:10):
Did they say Mueler?
Speaker 1 (01:28:11):
So on?
Speaker 4 (01:28:12):
Yeah, during the broadcast, I'll get our best people on it.
Can you go back to the poll? I gotta I
gotta finish it.
Speaker 5 (01:28:17):

Hughes twenty one percent, and then Nathan Rourke at thirty
