Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, I'm doctor Suyunan, and to day, I'd like to
talk to you about something that affects every single one
of us, spinal health. Your spine is the foundation of
your body. It protects your nervous system, supports your body weight,
and enables movement. But what many people don't realize is
that spinal health isn't just something you think about when

(00:20):
you're in pain. It's something to nurture through every stage
of life. Let's start with childhood. In my practice, I
often see young children developing poor posture due to heavy backpacks,
too much screen time, and lack of physical activity. These
habits may seem harmless at first, but they can create
imbalances in the spine early on. I always tell parents

(00:44):
that prevention is key. Encourage kids to stay active, stretch regularly,
and be mindful of their posture. Simple adjustments such as
limiting device time and using ergonomic seeding can make a
significant difference. As we enter our teenage, the spine continues
to develop. This is also a critical time when issues

(01:05):
like scoliosis may emerge. I've worked with many teens who
didn't even realize they had a spinal curvature until it
started causing discomfort or visible posture changes. Early screening and
chiropractic care can help tremendously. I also emphasize to teens
that sports injuries are common at this age and ignoring
back pain can lead to long term problems. Proper stretching,

(01:29):
strength training, and regular checkups help keep the spine strong
and aligned. In early adulthood, we often face a new
challenge sedentary lifestyles. Many of us sit for hours at
desks or stare at screens, which can wreak havoc on
spinal alignment. I always advise my patients to take frequent breaks, stretch,

(01:49):
and invest in ergonomic furniture. This is also the time
when people start feeling the consequences of earlier injuries or
poor posture habits. Chiropractic adjustments, coarse strengthening, and maintaining an
active lifestyle become especially important here. Moving into middle age,
spinal health can become even more complex. Years of wear

(02:11):
and tear can lead to conditions like degenerative disk disease,
herniated disks, and chronic back pain. I often work with
patients at this stage to manage pain and improve mobility.
It's not just about relieving discomfort. It's about improving quality
of life. Treatments such as spinal decompression, chiropractic adjustments, and

(02:32):
regenerative therapies like stem cell therapy can make a remarkable
difference in restoring function and reducing pain. As we age
into our senior years. Maintaining spinal health is crucial for
maintaining independence. Our bones naturally lose density and our muscles weaken,
which can make us more susceptible to falls and injuries.

(02:52):
Gentle chiropractic care, balance exercises, and low impact activities such
as swimming or walking are excellent ways to soport spinal
health in later life. I always remind my senior patience
that it's never too late to start caring for your
spine Throughout every stage of life. Your spine plays a
central role in your overall health and well being. No

(03:15):
matter your age, It's never too early or too late
to start taking better care of it. By staying proactive,
seeking regular checkups, and making mindful lifestyle choices, you can
enjoy a healthier, pain free life. Remember, your spine supports
you every day, so take the time to support it too.
