of that trial. Ethan Gifford Merton and Grady James Merton
were tried and convicted of robbery in the first degree

five counts and received sentences prescribed by law. Robbery in
the first degree is punishable by imprisonment in the state
teneicentiary for a period of from five years to delight.
Because of the viciousness of their crimes, their sentences were
set to run consecutively. A hold was placed on them
by the State of Alabama in the event they are paroled.
