Cecil Colby is very important to the Dynasty Universe and host James Lott Jr explains why.

Welcome to the Dynasty to the aftershow for the Kobe's Dynasty two. I'm
James add Junior. We're featuring CecilColby and we talked. We mentioned his
characters several times in this after showbecause of his relation to many people on
the show. But he's a veryimportant part of both Dynasty and Dynasty two
and how they connect together. CecilBaldwin Colby was played by Lloyd Bochner.

He has another an acting son tohert Bochner, remember him. They both
in bought stuff, the Cecil Callyback. So. Cecil was from of
course the Kobe family. His fatherwas Andrew Colby. His siblings were Constance,
Jason, and Philip. So thelegend has it, Cecil stood out

because he was the businessman of thefamily. He was manipulative, he was
scheming, he was charming. Hewas both a man in and out of
the bedroom and the boardroom. Ifyou catch my dream. Left they out
of his siblings, even they allcould be on n Kobe. You saw
that it could be a little ruthlesssister Constance of the peacemaker. Jason was

the darling son. And of coursethere's always one child that's kind of out
there somewhere, and that's Philip Cecilwhen we met him. Of course,
he was the longtime showing on boardof Colby Call Oil and he built that
himself. It's funny because he wasliterally disinherited out of the will and his

family and was just kind of justwas like a black ship of the family.
Even though Philip was a near dwell, he was kind of black shop
of the family. And Cecil reallyworked kolbe Call and then brought it to
Denver and really expanded there. SoCall of Cecil had a best friend who

was Blake Carrington, and this iswhen Blake was just starting out in the
oil business. But of course hedid betray Blake because of course he would
no friendship would be you know thatgreat because he really him an Alexis.

Originally it was Lexis Morale came between. Its always a woman. It's always
a woman, right, always awoman. Now, of course, years
later Blake married Alexis. But ironicallyyears later se Sloberry and Alexis well,
under mister A certain stances, ofcourse they became I mean maybe Blake,

Denver Carrington and Kobe Cole were rivalsthat show even with alex at the hill.
It was always I mean, itwas Kobe Ko Kobe, k Kobe
call debretarian demck Carington. One ofthe things that Cecil did, he arranged
a bomb explosion and Blake got caughtup in it and lost his eyesight temporarily

for that then also but then,like I said, years later, Cecil
and when Alexis came to town,they became friends. They also had a
fleeing and they had things in common. They became allies, and they liked
greed and passion and deceit and revenge, and they they hadn't been in mutual

and a mutual enemy. But Cecil'shealth deteriorated, and I can't remember it
was just heart failure because he wasn'treally that old, like I think it
was like it was like she makersAlexis. He wasn't you know, the
series or anything. It was justlike it was kind of like he was
just he had heart issues or whatever. And on Dynasty, the original show,

they planned to get married. Hehad a heart attack. But the
famous the wedding at the bedsite Cecilmarried Alexis hilarious. Right when he died,
he divided Kobe co between Alexis andJeff, and that made Alexis the

richest woman in Caloradle, so Ithink. And so for me, what
that did was they had to setup a Lexus to be a worthy adversary
for Blake and later then Dominiue deRoux comes in on stuff. But she
had to be somebody to be apower player, because she wasn't when she
first came on. She was theex wife and it was like she and
they didn't have her get all hermoney from Blake. She had some things,

like she had the one of theback houses he had given to her,
and so she had that, butshe needed to be the rich bitch
that we needed, right So Cecilgiving her half of Kobe Co allowed Alexus
to change the course of the showliterally, and it went on from there

and the rest of the rest ishistory. So I thought it was a
good show. And then her Jeffalways and Jeff and Alexis liked each other.
They got along fine. I meanthey had fights here and there,
of course, because of course Jeffwas involved with Alexis's daughter, follow which
is a whole We did those episodesalready, but I just thought it was
it was smart of the writers tomake Alexis rich on her own, so

she get attacking after Blake and Crystalthat and that led to all the famous
everything's. So see, it's sovery important in this whole Kobe world.
