And here's where things start to get wicked.

But Derek is saying this in a nice way, and

Derek says, you know what, it's getting laid. Tyler says,

room again. Tyler Perry then suddenly grabs Derek and starts
pulling things off, getting very aggressive. Derek is telling no, no, no, no, chill, chill, chill.

Tyler says, aye, we can get some food. Tyler and
Derek eat. Derek rushes to the guest room try to
lock the door, but there's no lock, so Derek goes
into the bathroom and locks the door.

Derek goes home. Tyler Perry's heart messaging and I'm like, dang.

We got pretty lit last night. Derek don't respond. Tyler
probably at this point knows, oh, dang, I messed up.
So people start messaging Derek saying, ooh, you just gotta
raise man, You just gotta raid your character coming back.

We're paying you so much more.

Derek not responding.

Tyler then says Derek, look, I just started talking on
your new show.

so he starts messaging Tyler back. Derek says his plan
was to start the show, make the show get super popular,
have enough power so that he can snitch on Tyler Perry.
Tyler Perry never saws the show, though Derek is still
playing his character in Tyler Perry's show The Oval. He
keeps asking Tyler doing when my show started? When my

show starting? Tyler's avoiding the subject the whole time. He's
still being very inappropriate TOAs Derek. Eventually, Tyler says, look,

we are today. Now, Usually how these things go, it's
a battle of public opinion.

Perry basically supporting Derek playing Tyler Perry looks very resive.
Tyler Perry's response to all this is this is scam.
Tyler Perry basically saying I'm rich. Derek knows I'm rich.

for most pulpit sermons, which by default means we lack
wisdom and discernment in this area.

And that is can you discern when you're forcing this.

next fifteen minutes. Can you discern when you're forcing this.

This isn't God, This is all you. This that wasn't
the Lord bro, that was all your flesh. Can you discern.

When you're forcing this, Pastor, I know I'm not forcing
this because I desire to do.

Okay, I'm gonna show you all a few moments, a
few moments a biblical scenario where you get possibly desire
to do something.

But just because you desire to do it for God
does not mean God has ordained you, called you, or
anointed you to do that thing that you want to
do for God. In fact, if you try to do
it anyway, you'll be navigating without God's hand. You'll be

Do it without God's intervention. You'll be trying to do
it without God's endorsement.

Force things in the name of God. Can you discern.

identify like, this opposition doesn't mean try harder.

you lost your mind, God is gonna give you a breakthrough.

Can you discern when decommitting would actually be obedience? Because
we preach about commitment and obedience, that's true, But sometimes
your obedience is seen by what you decommit to. I

I never told you to let them move in with
you because y'all gonna get married anyway, and you got
to test drive the car before you purchase it.

What God has joined, not what your flesh has joined,
not what your sexual compatibility has joined, not what your
loneliness has joined, not what your history has joined, not
that your friends hooked you up. What God has joined?

Can you discern when committing would be obedience?

Yeah, that would be obedience. For you to give the
ring back would be obedience. We're gonna have one, amen
and one. Uh listen, family, hear me, please hear me.
I told us open heart and open heart. Just consider

what I'm trying to get us to understand. We need
discern it to identify when you're forcing this. Because forced
places make space for demonic forces. Forced places makes space
for demonic forces. The enemy could jump on you with

ease when you're outside of the will of God. The
enemy could start to consume your mind with ease when
you're outside of the world of God. When you are
engaged in forced places, you're making space for demonic forces.
How long will you water was dead. How long will
you waste the water of your effort on what was

never yours. I'm not saying it won't hurt. I'm not
even saying get rid of your feelings.

That's not the goal. The goal is not to get
rid of your feelings. The goal is to change the
way you respond and have discernment to it.

Because oftentimes I think we believe the protection of God
always looks like this angelic host.

Always think that's what the protection of God looks like.

I got the angels of the Lord walking with me.
God has protected me. But what if the.

Protection of God actually looks like this? The door has
closed and watched this. It ain't go oving, not later. No,
it's closed because this is in your room. I promise

you would have another level of gratitude if you knew
what was behind that door.

We want what's behind that door because we made plans
for it, we prepared for it, we dreamed about it.

Now this is a powerful foreshadowing.

Because what Jesus did was he took off.

His heavenly self, wrapped himself in flesh, came down in time,
and it's gonna take on all the sins of mankind
while he's on the cross.

So while he's washing.

The disciples, see, he rolls up on Simon Peter, and
Simon's like.

Hold on, waitade. Lord Peter is probably like.

I don't know why y'all were letting him wash your
feet in the first place. This is the mask. I
know You're not about to wash my feet.

Notice what Jesus says, and John Chavin thirteen, verse seven,
Jesus replied, you do not realize now what I am doing,
but later you will understand. But later you will understand.
I think I need to read that one more time

for somebody who doesn't understand what God is doing in
your life. One more time for the individual who doesn't
understand why God didn't stop it, why God didn't block it.
Jesus replied to Simon Peter, you do not realize now

biblical passage proposes a very important question. The question on
the floor now is how do you manage the gap.

Between not understanding what in the world God is.

Doing and walking into your Oh, that's why he did
that moment?

Can we talk that distance? How do you start the gap.

why God is doing this, but I'm gonna trust him
beyond my logic.

Trust him beyond my understanding. Better yet, how is your
faithfulness between the distance of not understanding why God said no,
not understanding why I didn't get the promotion, not understanding
why I.

Prayed for God to heal her from cancer but they
died anyway, not understanding that? How do I and how.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
Is my faithfulness between not understanding what in the world
God is doing and then walking into your Oh, that's
why you see, most people quit before they walk into.
That's why most people get high before they walk into.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
That's why I need a whole series. The beginning of
twenty two.

Entitled Planted, because I was trying to get us to understand. Listen,
storms only benefit the planted. If you quit, the storm
won't make sense. If you walk away, the storm won't
make sense. If you renounce your faith, the storm won't
make sense. Storm only benefits the plant it because.

Once you have stood there and endured, then you're like, Okay,
that wasn't just a storm that was watering.

My faith grew from that, My confidence grew from that,
My prayer life grew from that, My preach got it
more fire due to that, My understanding grew from that,
my wisdom grew for that. But if you quit, you
just be getting rained on with no purpose because storms,
it's gonna be rough in here today.

And what's kind of interesting about this biblical text, Jesus is.

the revelation in thirteen, you only get that in John twenty.

me because I firmly believe this is a pivotal word,
possibly one of the most important sermons that I've ever preached.
This is a pivotal word because most of us are
in a pivotal season meaning, whatever choice you make with this,

it's going to show up for the next season of
your life.

Whatever choice you.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Make with this is going to show up in your children,
whatever choice you make with this.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
It's pivotal.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
And what does the devil do when you're in a
pivotal season?
Speaker 2 (36:40):
He sets up traps right before you make that choice.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
There's a deception right before you sign that deal. There's
a deception right before you make this decision.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
There is deception traps. Remember I gave you an acronym.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
For it, traps, tricks right at pivots.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
It's a trap, tricks right.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
At pivots, right when you're about to make a pivotal decision.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Marry him, marry her? Trap right when you're about to
make a pivotal decision, do I go here? Do I stay? Trap?
Speaker 3 (37:18):
He wants to deceive you so that you could waste
your time.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
There are so many health messages.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Waste your strength. This is a pivotal word. I'm just
trying to convince us. When you can hear God's voice clearer,
and when your discernment is sharper, decisions become easier.

You hear God's voice clearer, and when your discernment is sharper,
decisions become easier. This is why I strive to give
us sound theology and biblical intelligence, because I recognize wolves
can't stand biblically intelligence sheep. Your biblical intelligence will always

frustrate those who can't run game on you.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
It's a whole cheek cold. I know the word. I'm
walking with the word.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
I sought, the word I prayed this morning, so I
don't just say yes or no without first seeking the
face of God. I want to give us this prophetic utterance,
if you will, because the teaching that I believe is
not being taught enough. It's low on the radar, and
(38:41):
many of our small group conversations low on the radar
for most pulpit sermons, which by default means we lack
wisdom and discernment in this area.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
And that is can you discern when you're forcing this.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
It's about to get real in here for about the
next fifteen minutes. Can you discern when you're forcing this.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
This isn't God, This is all you. This that wasn't
the Lord bro, that was all your flesh. Can you discern.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
When you're forcing this, Pastor, I know I'm not forcing
this because I desire to do.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
This for the Lord.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Okay, I'm gonna show you all a few moments, a
few moments a biblical scenario where you get possibly desire
to do something.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
For the Lord.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
But just because you desire to do it for God
does not mean God has ordained you, called you, or
anointed you to do that thing that you want to
do for God. In fact, if you try to do
it anyway, you'll be navigating without God's hand. You'll be
trying to do it without God's grace. You'll be trying to.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Do it without God's intervention. You'll be trying to do
it without God's endorsement.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Maybe that's why you're so tire, because you're trying to.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Force things in the name of God. Can you discern.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
When I am forcing this? We need wisdom here to
identify like, this opposition doesn't mean try harder.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
This opposition does not mean give bigger. And if you
have a need, so a seed.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
And in the next thirty days, if you shout like
you lost your mind, God is gonna give you a breakthrough.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Somebody say miracle, miracle, that's heresy. Stop preaching that hear me.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
You can't show your way out of rebellion. Why won't
more pass the priestist. God doesn't care about your money.
Obedience is better than sacrifice. This opposition does not mean
grining harder and try harder and work harder. In fact,
this opposition is not even the devil. Whether is God

trying to let you know? This is not yours, This
is not what I have ordained.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
For you to do. In fact, many of us right now.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Are grieving over what God never ordained, crying over what
God never called you to. And if you had this
revelation that God protected you.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
You wouldn't be crying boo boo.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
You will be thanking God that he loves you so
much that he did not let you pursue a path.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
You had plans, but he wrecked them. Because your plans
are gonna wreck you. Can I discern?
Speaker 4 (41:40):
Who?
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Can I go a little deeper?
Speaker 3 (41:43):
Can you discern when decommitting would actually be obedience? Because
we preach about commitment and obedience, that's true, But sometimes
your obedience is seen by what you decommit to. I
never told you to take that booking you did. I
(42:05):
never told you to go on business with them.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
You did.
Speaker 3 (42:09):
I never told you to let them move in with
you because y'all gonna get married anyway, and you got
to test drive the car before you purchase it.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
I didn't tell you that.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
I told you in all your ways acknowledged me and
flee the very appearance of evil.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
That's what I told you. Your flesh told you that.
I didn't call you to be a pastor. You called yourself.
And you're forging my signature.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Yeah, yeah, this is it.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
And I know I know because listen, family, I'm seeing this.
Everybody wants to live in the favor of God.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
But you can't live in the favor of God.
Speaker 3 (42:53):
If you can't discern when God has not favored this
for you.

When my babies were born, everything I had so many
decisions to make.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
Just make a sense. I didn't tell you to do that.
You did, Pastor. I disagree with that.

See you always up there talking about you preached the Bible.

I got you. You preach an opinion.

Because the Bible says in Mark chapter ten, verse nine,
what God has joined together, let no man separate what
you mean that I may have to decommit what you mean?
Speaker 2 (43:25):
I may have to give the ring back.
Speaker 3 (43:27):
Okay, let me go ahead and read the scripture that
you just quote it. Mark Chapter ten, verse nine says, Therefore,
what God has joined together, let no one separate.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
You're overlooking very important for words.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
What God has joined, not what your flesh has joined,
not what your sexual compatibility has joined, not what your
loneliness has joined, not what your history has joined, not
that your friends hooked you up. What God has joined?
Speaker 2 (43:58):
Can you discern when committing would be obedience?
Speaker 3 (44:05):
Yeah, that would be obedience. For you to give the
ring back would be obedience. We're gonna have one, amen
and one. Uh listen, family, hear me, please hear me.
I told us open heart and open heart. Just consider
(44:26):
what I'm trying to get us to understand. We need
discern it to identify when you're forcing this. Because forced
places make space for demonic forces. Forced places makes space
for demonic forces. The enemy could jump on you with
(44:47):
ease when you're outside of the will of God. The
enemy could start to consume your mind with ease when
you're outside of the world of God. When you are
engaged in forced places, you're making space for demonic forces.
How long will you water was dead. How long will
you waste the water of your effort on what was
(45:10):
never yours. I'm not saying it won't hurt. I'm not
even saying get rid of your feelings.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
That's not the goal. The goal is not to get
rid of your feelings. The goal is to change the
way you respond and have discernment to it.
Speaker 3 (45:26):
Because oftentimes I think we believe the protection of God
always looks like this angelic host.
Speaker 2 (45:34):
So like this picture of this angel like we.
Speaker 3 (45:36):
Always think that's what the protection of God looks like.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
I got the angels of the Lord walking with me.
God has protected me. But what if the.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
Protection of God actually looks like this? The door has
closed and watched this. It ain't go oving, not later. No,
it's closed because this is in your room. I promise
(46:05):
you would have another level of gratitude if you knew
what was behind that door.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
I know, I know, I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
We want what's behind that door because we made plans
for it, we prepared for it, we dreamed about it.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
But if you really knew what.
Speaker 3 (46:20):
Would happen to your peace if you went behind that door,
if you knew what would happen to your joy behind
that door.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
If you knew what would happens to your clarity, you would.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
Be thinking God for every single one. Can I give
you a whole revelation. The favor of God opens doors,
and the favor of God also closes them.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
So when you see closed doors, you have to understand
I'm favored.
Speaker 3 (46:44):
So much where God won't let me go this route
to waste my time.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
Because some people he lets go. But for you, what.
Speaker 3 (46:57):
If protection from the Lord doesn't always look like this
angelic being looking over you and watching all of your steps.
What if sometimes the protection of the Lord looks.
Speaker 2 (47:10):
Like this man taking the ring back. Yeah, I made
a mistake.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
I'm sorry, he broke my heart. I will allow you
to have a broken heart to save your soul.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
What if that's what protection looks like.
Speaker 3 (47:28):
You see how quiet is getting drilled, getting real because
we always think protection is this huge angelic being and
this hands of protection. Well, sometimes the protection of God
looks like this traffic jam.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Coy of us hate traffic. Some people didn't even raise
a hand. Praise God for you. I love you so much.
I'm gonna delay you because you prayed Lord watch over
me today.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
And if you would have been up five more minutes,
a straight bullet would have came your way. And you
don't know that. I see around the corner. You just
see to the corner.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
You don't know. I see over the hill. You just
see the heill.
Speaker 3 (48:11):
And sometimes God will delay you to protect you.
Speaker 2 (48:14):
I'm not punishing you, COO.
Speaker 3 (48:20):
I don't understand why they left, for why they betrayed me.
I've arrived at this place in my life. I don't
even force narratives whatever. I don't tell my side of
the story. Whatever side they told.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
You, you can believe it, you can believe it.
Speaker 3 (48:34):
I don't even force the narrative, believe whatever they said.
Speaker 2 (48:37):
I'm gonna pray for them.
Speaker 3 (48:38):
But one thing I know for sure, on this side
of seeking the Lord, He's gonna redeem my mind, redeem
my peace.
Speaker 2 (48:43):
Redeem my joy.
Speaker 3 (48:44):
They can say whatever they want to say.
Speaker 2 (48:47):
You should switch to win a hundrd contacts because it's
super easy, so cheap, I say, shipping cars. Some of
us are.

Trying to force healing conversations and you're just causing yourself
to get hurt more.

Can you discern when you're forcing this?

Because many of us, myself included, we like the control
outcomes who I love the honesty. I don't feel weird
out here by myself. We love to control outcomes. If
there's anybody under the sound of my voice your mood
has ever shifted because of an outcome you expected that
didn't happen, this sermon is for you. If there's anybody
(49:29):
under the sound of my voice that you find yourself
loving hard because it was hard not being loved.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
You're not crazy, nor are.
Speaker 3 (49:36):
You selfish, because you want to be poured into the
same way you poured See wrong, people will really have
us out here thinking that we're asking for too much,
when truth is they can't offer much. If you ever
felt like that, this sermon is for you.

If you've ever.
Speaker 3 (49:52):
Had anxiety over tomorrow, anxiety about what the future holds,
I want to give you this revelation to God gave
me in prayer to change my life. And it's so simple.
As I was praying about my concerns and how we
gonna do this and what's gonna happen, God just simply
reminded me.
Speaker 2 (50:09):
Tomorrow's my job. That for me changed everything. You know
why you can't sleep because tomorrow is a God wait
and you're not strong enough to lift it. What did
Jesus say, don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow has it
cares of his own?
Speaker 3 (50:32):
I'm talking about the person your anxiety is so bad
to you overthink and prepare for what you're overthinking about.
Anybody ever overthought so much and you're prepared for what
you're overthinking about?
Speaker 2 (50:44):
Have you ever prepared prepared.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
For an argument that you don't even know what's gonna happen,
But if it does happen.
Speaker 2 (50:48):
You already know what you're gonna say.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
I'm not talking to somebody. If they say this, I'm
gonna bring up that. And if they bring that up,
oh I got a whole word for them. Can I
get everybody say tomorrow?

That's God's job?

So watch this the outcome.

That's who's goshop them changing. That's who goshop how much
this is gonna grow? That's who goshap the impact of this?

You're stressed because you're trying to handle God's That's why
you're forcing it, because you're trying to.

Control God's job. Who you don't realize what I'm doing now,
