our camp. However, once onthat path everything changed. The atmosphere became
oppressive, as if we had crossedan invisible barrier into another period of mention.
There were no other cars in sight, no point of reference, not
even indicators of miles just road andmiles and miles of darkness surrounding us.

Finally, we began to see buildingsin the distance. His silhouettes made us
sigh relieved, but something still feltbad. We entered a city that looked
like it was taken directly from a1950s movie. The streets were deserted like
an abandoned film set, but theworst thing was that everything was off.

Even though it wasn' t toolate at night, all the lights in
the city were out. There werecars parked everywhere, but not a single
person in sight. The wind wasblowing with a disquieting whisper, as if
the shadows themselves were watching us.The windows of the houses were broken and
the doors swayed in their rusty hinges. The trees seemed to wrinkle like souls

village square where we found an oldabandoned police car. No one was inside.

it was definitely creepy. The airwas filled with dense silence, as if
