(00:00):
Towards the night before Christmas, andall through the house every creature was stirring,
even this louse. That's right,it's me, Moxia the Elf.
After a long year of spying andshelving, I'm more than ready for a
day of elfing myself. But asan official scout elf, my job's never

(00:22):
done till the last presence opened andday has begun. So I crept up
the stairs and peered into the den, watching the family participate in who knows
what's in? Just kidding their angelsor so I embellish, But a board

(00:43):
elf can't resist a good bout ofhellish reckonings. As always, jumping in
bed was part of the rush.Time to sleep, if you still have
some sugar to crush. The youngestlittle Maggie, had certainly crashed, while
the others tucked in for a longwinter's nap at long last. Soon the

(01:04):
house settled down, with narry acreature stealing as dreams of sugar plums did
their tasty revealings. Even I feltmy lids getting heavier beyond belief as magic
crystals formed an entrancing reef. Knowingtomorrow my job will be behind me,
I drifted a slumber, thinking oftreats that remind me of peppermint, sparkle

(01:26):
and chocolate. Surprise. These thoughtsfilled my head till I closed my tired
eyes visions of cookies and hot cocoa. Oh glory, for this would be
my reward when I tell the elfstory, my story of sheltering flying reindeer
from storms and guiding Old Santa downtricky chimney dorms. The hours passed quickly

(01:53):
until the sky lightened anew. Ileapt up with excitement at what the day
will accrue. Soon, the pitterof footsteps came pounding my way, tiny
feet hitting stairs at the bright Christmasday, Shrieks of he came filled the
air as they dashed down the poles, searching for packages from the red suited

(02:15):
soul. They dove for the presence, all wrapped up in cheer. Within
seconds, the lounging room mess didappear. Wrapping and tissue flew every which
way as Christmas got greeting's hip hiphooray. The youngest got play dough,
which soon found the floor, whilethe others got clothing all dapper and more.

(02:37):
Mum got her necklace. Dear OldDad a new clock, but their
joy shine the most from his brightstriped socks. Grandma sat smiling, enjoying
the bliss whilst sneaking her pup andleft over brisket. Miss Next came the
baking, to feed the whole cropof family that soon would encircle to sup

(03:00):
on casseroles, cookies, sweetbreads, and big hams. This food brings me
joy like no other my clans. But an elf isn't supposed to be seen,
so I peek from the corner atdishes. Foreseen. There's potatoes of
gratten, all bubbly and hot,and a big chicken alfredo so creamy it's
not green beans salteed, and onionsand bacon. Oh help me someone as

(03:25):
temptation keeps shaking sweet yams blanketed insugary sweetness, while rolls wrease tall in
all of their yeastiness. The Devilto eggs mocked me. I swear just
a bit, if only I couldtake one little hit. But I promised
Old Santa, I won't blow mycover. So I sat drooling over plates,

(03:46):
ready to uncover their treats soon enoughfor others. Next, Grandpa whistled
and called in the lot, hisgrandkids came running for what might be got
presents still waiting from their favorite elder. Magical Grandpa conjured gifts helter skelter.
The kids roared excitement, ripping boxesinto pulling out strange objects they hadn't a

(04:12):
clue. Be careful. Mum warnedit might break into bits, but Nana
laughed, knowingly avoiding fits. Thekids puzzled over metal and screws, while
Grandpa grinned wildly at his hidden ruse, crept close and chuckled. Since only
I knew that those gifts were partsfor a rocket built for two. Soon,

(04:36):
Grandpa helped guide the construction with love. The kids beamed with joy as
it took shape like a dove, smooth curved metal, gleaming red, white
and blue, a dream rocket shipevery space cadet knew. Though not flying
today, it still brought them cheer. They'd soon be astronauts without even fear.

(04:59):
After the rocket look its rightful firstflight, the family circled round the
tree, shining bright cinnamon candles withcozy caress lit smiles all around in their
merryfest dress. Presents all opened nowbellies. The test the feast splayed before
them, granting not but the bestham glazed with cloves, a pineapple treat,

(05:23):
plus all those sides. An elfcan only dream. Mashed potatoes to
cushion each bite. Corn and greenbeans bring colors so bright. Rolls lathed
with butter just right, while Dadattempts discipline with all his elf might.
As the meal wrapped with neary aspeck left in sight, the family lound

(05:47):
sleepy and stuffed full of delight thatsearched for a game they could play for
a time when an odd crinkling soundgave them reason to find a stray last
gift hidden behind the tree skirt. How could Santa have missed it? The
mystery alert, They clamored discussion ofwho might give more, but no one

(06:10):
admitted to having before the gift tagwas checked, but no label bore weight.
Who was this present? Mysteriously belate? The youngest jumped up, pretty
sure she knew that she spotted myhiding place. Drat, it's true,
it's moxy, she cried, tuggingme to appear. I bowed shyly,

(06:30):
not wanting to spread holiday fear, and the others blinked, stunned by my
diminutive display. As Maggie declared, see he helped Sata today. The family
agreed, understanding my role as leadelf distracted from the north pole. We
sheared in delight at pulling off Christmas, so bright that I begged for a
break before my long flight back tothe workshop for some rest I required before

(06:56):
next season again gets me all fired. They smile and raised cookies in my
honor. Instead, I grinned, feeling thankful for this family I'd led through
the year's wild adventures and tiny mishaps. Why one year I even got stuck
in the wrapping tinsel tangled round melike a sparkling trap. But each year

(07:20):
we make it to Christmas intact.Though exhausted I'll be by the time it
concludes, it fills me with joyhelping them spread the good news, the
news of sweet baby Jesus sent fromabove to fill this world with peace,
hope and love. So as Ifind rest enjoying their warm Christmas dinner,

(07:41):
I'll relish each bite amidst all thelaughter and cheer, knowing I'll dream of
next year's Christmas plan as the mostmagical elf, helping all that I can
