thank you for your mercy and your grace. Thank you
for everything that you're doing tonight. God. But I just
pray right now that you release your holy spirit tonight

thank you for everything that you're going to do tonight, Jesus, Amen, Amen, Amen.

It was a really weird thing. But anyway, so here

I want to share something very simple, at least it's
simple in my understanding. But I have a tendency to assume,
and a lot of people do, to assume that that

(05:08):
that everybody understands things the same way that that you
understand them. In other words, if you know something and
it's common, it seems common knowledge to you, you expect
other people to people expect you to you know, you

(05:33):
expect people to know the same things that you know.
And and one of the things that you have to
remember is not everybody understands the same things, especially when
it comes to spiritual stuff. Okay, So I wanted to
talk tonight about binding and loosing, and to me, it

(05:56):
just kind of comes to that's, you know, a section nature.
But I don't want to not have that communicated to
God's people, you know, especially in a proper manner, because
we need to understand these things, what binding and loosing is,

(06:19):
and what it's for and where it comes from. Okay,
So open your Bibles, please to Matthew Matthew sixteen. And
really this has everything to do with kingdom. Okay, everything

(06:44):
to do with understanding that we are in the kingdom.
We're part of the Kingdom, and so we have at
our disposal the tools and the weapons of the Kingdom. Amen. Amen,
let me let me, let me show you what I'm
talking about. In verse eighteen of Matthew of Matthew sixteen,

(07:09):
and I say, unto the thou art Peter. This is
This is Jesus recognizing Peter and telling him that you
know he first of all, he tells him that you're
no flesh and blood revealed this to you, But it
was from my Father in Heaven. Amen. And upon this rock,
and he says, and I say, unto thee, thou art, Peter,

(07:30):
And upon this rock I will build my church, and
the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. And
then he goes on to say, and I will give
unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, the
Kingdom of Heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth

(07:51):
shall be bound in Heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt loose
on earth shall be loosed in heaven and I'm thirsty. Okay,
So this is the deal. So there is the Keys
of the Kingdom. And it's important for us to understand
that that we this is something that we all have

(08:15):
to have an understanding of binding and loosing, loosing and
binding these are these are this is essential for your
spiritual uh and just your general survival amen to understand

(08:36):
what binding and loosing is all about. So let's let's
look at it one more time. Okay, let me let
me look at this. And from verse nineteen, it says,
and I say onto unto the I will give unto
the the keys of the Kingdom. What are they talking about.
They're talking about a dimension of authority, okay, a dimension

(08:59):
of a authority. And I guess because when you have keys,
that means you are in charge of something. Okay, you're
in charge of something. And the keys of the Kingdom
of Heaven and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth. So
we're talking about on this on this dimensional plane that
we live on. God, I don't want to get too weird,

(09:21):
but on where we live now, this is this is earth, okay,
just follow with me, okay. But there's also heaven. So
this is the thing. So what we bind on earth
is bound in heaven. Where's the greatest, the greatest authority
at It's in heaven. But if we bind something on

(09:42):
earth because we have the keys of the Kingdom and
it's bound in heaven. Okay, because we have the keys
of the Kingdom, then it has to be then it
has to be executed on earth. So if we have
the authority of Heaven and on on heaven and on earth,

(10:02):
then it has to be. So it has to be.
It has to. Whatever it is that we're binding or loosing,
it has to happen. It has to be executed. It
has to. Uh, it has to. It has to move,
It has to it has to it has to do
what we say it does. Amen, do you understand what
I'm saying. And this isn't some kind of crazy hocus pocus.

(10:26):
It has to do with the delegated authority that we
have as Christians. Okay, okay, and let's let's move on.
Let's move on to that. Let me let me explain,
let me explain this. Okay, everything that operates in this
kingdom that we live in as Christians. Remember when we

(10:49):
talked about how the Kingdom of Heaven doesn't come by observation,
but it comes without observation because you won't look here,
you won't look there. But the kingdom Jesus said, the
Kingdom of God is within us. Amen. And he means
that it's inside of us. Amen. It's not among us,

(11:11):
but it's in us. Amen. That's what Jesus said. So
this is the deal. So we have to understand since
we're citizens of another kingdom, we need to understand what
our legal uh authority is, Like what it's about, amen?

(11:31):
And what is this binding and loosing? What is binding?
Binding is when you disallow or you restrict something's activity. Okay,
when you when you bind something, that means you're you're
you're you're not accepting it's it's ability. You're restricting its
ability to function. You're restricting its ability to function or

(11:58):
to be acting or to do what it wants to do.
So when you bind demons, they're they're restricted from activity. Amen.
When you loose the will of God in a situation,
or you lose angels to operate in a situation, you

(12:20):
are giving them pass You're you're allowing them. Amen, You're
you're giving it at you're giving it, you know, Uh,
the authority to function, and we have that delegated authority
in the kingdom. Amen, we need to understand the level
of authority that we've been granted through Jesus Christ. It

(12:45):
is so important for us to get at to get
a grip on this as as people. It doesn't matter
how long you've been in the faith, it doesn't matter
how long you've been you know, whatever, you have the
authority to bind and to loose. Amen, let me let

(13:06):
me give you a for instance, you walk Let's say
you walk up on somebody who I don't know, they're
demonized or whatever, and the Holy Spirit tells you bind
this person. Now, I've actually been told by the Holy
Spirit to leave somebody alone and to not bind them
or lose them whatever. I didn't listen, and I paid

(13:26):
the price for it. In so many words. I don't
want to get into the details of it. But when
God tells you, whatever the Holy Spirit tells you to do,
that's what you do. But my default when encountering, like
praying for people and coming across you know, something that's demonic, okay,

(13:50):
the default is to bind it. Okay, to bind that thing,
to bind it. Why, because you're disallowing it activity. You're
not allowing it to use any of its abilities, powers
or resources. Okay, I bind you in the name of Jesus.
I come against you right now. We stand against you, Satan.

(14:11):
We bind you in Jesus' name. Amen. That's that's what
we're talking about. Amen. And in doing that, we bind
him on earth, and then he's bound in Heaven. In
other words, then the backing of Heaven comes to execute
that Why because do we have the power. We do
not in ourselves possess the physical or spiritual power in

(14:37):
order to uh in order to what's the word for it,
to execute that order. But we need the backing of
Heaven and his power and the power of Heaven, the
power of God, the power of whatever angels God releases
to do that work. We need their backing, Okay, And

(15:01):
we have it when we execute that order. Amen. Heaven
stands behind us. And that's the way it's supposed to work.
When we lose something. When we pray God, we just
loose your healing upon our brother here in the name
of Jesus. We just pray Father God for healing to
be loosed on them. Your will be loosed in their life. God,

(15:22):
and we thank you for it in Jesus name. And
this is biblical because in the Lord's prayer, what does
he say, your will be done on earth as it
is in heaven. Amen. We're to pray God's will in
the earth. It's not just automatic. Everything that happens in
the earth isn't God's will. We have to understand that.
You know that not everything that happens is his will.

(15:44):
But we pray his will into the earth, we loose
it in the earth. Amen. I hope you understand that.
And so when you're in a situation and you need
something from the Lord, it's up to you to pray
loosing and binding. Amen. Loosing and binding, Amen, Binding and loosing.

(16:07):
That is up to you. That is your your thing.
That's what you have to do. You have to pray, Amen.
If you want God's best for your life, if you
want God's best for other people's lives, you have to pray. Amen.
And binding and loosing is part of the package. Amen. Amen. Amen.

(16:28):
Let's go to Matthew eighteen. Okay, now I want to
look I want you to look at this too. This
is important. Okay. So here's this thing. So this is

(16:52):
how to deal with dispute. Okay, and we see that
in Matthew eighteen. Moreover, if thy brother shall try pass
against THEE, go and tell him his fault. I don't
want you to worry so much about this. Well, go
and tell him his fault between THEE and him alone.
And if he shall hear THEE, thou hast gained, thy brother.

(17:13):
But if you will not, if you will not hear you,
then take with you one or two more that the
mouth of two or three witnesses in every word may
be established. Okay. That's a biblical principle there too. See.
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it
unto the church. This is where we get the church involved, right.

(17:33):
And if he neglect to hear the Church, let him
be unto THEE as a heathen man and a publican. Okay.
In other words, you don't do dealings with him anymore,
all right. But it says this in verse eighteen. It says,
very very verily, I say, unto you whatsoever you shall
bind on earth. Now, what are they talking about. They're

(17:54):
talking about whatever decisions you make concerning this individual. Okay,
this is part of the binding and loosing. I say,
unto you. Whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be
bound in heaven. Whatsoever shall be loosed on earth shall
be loose in heaven. Again, I say unto you that

(18:16):
if two or two of you shall agree on earth
as touching anything, they shall ask, it shall be done
done for them of My Father, which is in heaven.
What does this tell us? Number two? Number one? It
tells us that when there's two or more people, of course,
there's more authority involved. Okay, there's more authority because Jesus

(18:43):
is there in the midst of us. Okay. And secondly,
this tells us that binding and loosing is part of prayer. Okay,
this is all part of prayer for where two or
three are gathered together in my name, there I am

(19:03):
in the midst. So it's important for us to understand
how how this works, okay. And the best way is
to is to get the Holy Spirit to guide you
and lead you in how to execute this. And some
of you maybe you know this, may be you know
second nature to some of you, or this might be

(19:26):
completely foreign to you. Even though you are a believer
and born again, you've never been taught this before, you've
never seen it, you've never experienced it, but it's important
for for every believer to understand binding and loosing, binding

(19:46):
and losing, especially because you know, spiritual warfare is a
major reality. And let me explain. Okay. Let's say you're
you're just feeling rotten. You have this just horrible fee fling.
You've probably been to a doctor but they say we
can't find nothing wrong or whatever, and it's just a feeling.

(20:08):
It's just you feel maybe you feel like unusually depressed,
and you know it's not you because you're just not
a depressed person. Amen. Let's let's let's let's let's put
it into those contexts, okay. And so you realize that
you're going through spiritual warfare of some kind, and you
don't need somebody to cast the demon out of you,

(20:29):
because it's not in you, but it's around you. It's
harassing you. You're you're being attacked by by a demon. Okay.
And it could be like just evil thoughts or negative
thoughts that you know aren't yours. It could be anything.
It could be all manner of things. And usually it
revolves around just one certain area. Okay, it'll revolve around

(20:53):
one certain area. It'll be either like a spirit of jealousy,
spirit of anger, spirit of fear or whatever. Okay, they
they generalize or you know, they specialize. They don't generalize,
they specialize in a certain area. Okay, a spirit of heaviness, right,
that kind of thing. So what do you do, mh.

(21:16):
What do you do? Well? At that point when you
come to that realization, you basically you pray and say God,
I need your help right now. I need you to
help me pray through this. And the first thing that
when because because you speak, you have to speak this
stuff out loud. I don't know why the reason is

(21:38):
for that. You praying silently doesn't do the job. It
just to me, it doesn't do the job. Of course,
you don't have to be really super loud. You can.
You can do it under your under your breath, but
you've got to you've got to say these things out loud.
They have to be manifested by by your by your voice.

(21:59):
You've got to speak it. Amen. And and so you know,
because that's that's I don't know why it's it's more
powerful that way, it just is. So you know, you
ask God to help you. You you then you go
into into binding, okay, where you say, you know what,

(22:22):
I bind you, devil, in the name of Jesus. I
rebuke you, and I bind you in Jesus mighty name.
I disallow your activity. I command you to stop, cease
and desist. I bind you in Jesus' name, and I
cast you out in Jesus name. And I you know,
you got to do that often because you know, you know,

(22:44):
even when I'm you know, especially those people who are
in ministry, you know, you go through all kinds of
spiritual warfare. Amen. And it's just it's it's part of
the course. You know, it's part of the course. It's
just something that you have to have to know how
to do, and do it well, and do it often.

(23:04):
So we bind and then we loose. We bind and loose. Amen. Amen.
So let me let me give you some more. Let
me give you something else here to show you what
I'm talking about in the realm of spiritual warfare. Let's
go to Matthew twelve. Now this is this is Jesus,

(23:25):
and he's talking about casting out demons, right, And they
accused him of casting out demons by the Prince of Demons.
And he says, but if I cast out devils by
the spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God is
come unto you. Or else, how can one enter into
a strong man's house talking about a demon we're talking

(23:47):
about deliverance, casting out demons, or how else can one
enter into a strong man's house and spoil his goods
in other words, relieve him of whatever he has in
his hands, except he first bind the strong man. Okay,
you see that right there. Unless he first bind the

(24:10):
strong man, then he will spoil his house. So what
do you do when you first encounter demons? You bind them.
No matter what the activity is that they're doing, you
bind them. You bind them so they can't do anything
in retaliation. They can't do anything to hinder you. They

(24:36):
can't do anything. Okay, you bind them, You take authority
over them, and you bind them. And that's how that's
how we execute that. Amen. And I want to give
you some encouragement too. And all this has to do
with authority, right, And we see in verse nineteen of Luke,

(25:01):
chapter ten, what does it say. It says, behold, I
give unto you power to tread that that's that's to
really annihilate or to just to take out the enemy. Right, Behold,
I give unto you the power to tread on serpents
and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy,
and nothing shall buy any means hurt you. And that's
really cool. But what are we talking about to give

(25:25):
you unto you power? What is that word? It is
the translated from the Greek or the Greek word and
I don't know if I'm saying this properly, but it's
it's I think it's pronounced azuzia, okay, which means more
like authority, but it includes the ability in the in

(25:45):
the authority is like the authority that you're given authority,
delegated authority, and the power of the enemy is called dunamus.
So we've gotten we've been given authority over his physical
power or his power to do certain things. And that's
where we get the ability to bind. That's where we

(26:09):
get the authority to bind his power. So it doesn't
matter how powerful the devil is, you have authority over
that power. Do you understand? So you've been given power authority.
But what does it say in verse twenty, notwithstanding and
rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you, but

(26:32):
rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven. Get
a right perspective. Okay, you're not cool because you can
bind demons. It's just a fact of life. Amen. Just
affect the life. Okay. So, and then, of course I

(26:52):
just want to encourage you with this last part is
in verse twenty six Romans sixteen twenty and the God
of Peace. And remember when we talked about treading upon
snakes and scorpions. The God of Peace shall soon bruise
Satan under your feet shortly or soon, Okay. So I

(27:15):
just want to encourage you with that tonight in Jesus'
money name. Oh wow, it's only it's only twenty eight

this is this is a time in a season where
God is changing your your spiritual garments. I don't know

in the realm of the spirit, you're getting an upgrade

to be something that's noticeable in the realm of the spirit. Amen.
It's going to be something noticeable in the realm of
the spirit. And it has to do with the level Uh.
And dimension of authority that you're that you're going to
walk in UH is going to be greater in this season,
spiritual authority, a greater dimension. Uh. And it's going to

be recognizable to those in the spiritual realm. Amen. Amen,
