Speaker 1 (00:13):
I will bless the Lord at all times, and may
his praise continually be in my mouth my soul. The
salmon says, shall make her boasting the Lord. The umbo
shall hear thereof and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord
with me, and let us exalt his name together. We
welcome you once again to this another edition of End

v tw A Voice in the Wilderness is what we
(00:55):
are simply called to proclaim the liberty that is in
Christ Jesus our Lord. And we are grateful again to
the Lord for this ministry for all of you who
pray for and support a man the work of the
Kingdom of God. Everywhere. Amen. We live in perilous times,
(01:16):
as the Bible a man warned us of, and we
as the people of God, as the churches in God,
a man must continue. A man to earnestly contend for
the faith. The apostle Jew wrote about which was once
and for all delivered to the saints. Amen. So we
have a responsibility of duty. We have a mission that
(01:38):
has been given to us by Jesus Christ, our Lord
and Savior, the founder of the Church, the chief shepherd
of the flock of God. Amen. So we have a
responsibility accountability to him, a man to a man, do
that which he has called us a man to do.
(02:00):
And so we take it seriously. Amen. And we are again,
by the help of God, continuing to this very day.
And we are of course for those of you who've
been following along with us in a series on God,
that government, church and state. And today we're going to
look briefly at government hostility, government hostility. And before we begin,
(02:28):
let's take just a moment too. Amen, acknowledge the Lord
in prayer. Father again, great is your faithfulness to us.
Great is your mercy toward each and every one of us. Lord,
we love you because you first loved us. You have
forgiven us. You've washed away our sins as far as
the east is from the west, so far as you
have you removed our transgressions from us. Lord, we are
(02:52):
grateful to you because you died the death that we
deserve to die. So that we can live life, have
it more abundantly, and enjoy Amen, pleasures with you Forevermore so, Lord,
we pray today that somewhere are someone's eyes will be open,
ears unstopped, a man, hearts changed, as only you can
(03:12):
do by the power of your Holy Spirit. We pray
it today in the name of Jesus, the Christ of Cavalry.
Amen and Amen. All right again, we have been in
a series on God, government, church, and state. And thus
far in this series, Amen, we have examined from the
Old Testament as well as from the New Testament, how
(03:35):
that God is not aloof, how that God is not absent,
how that God is not disinterested a man in the
authority of the governments of this world, in the affairs
of the governments of this world, nor in the decisions
that are made by government leaders in this world. As
a matter of fact, the Bible is clear about this.
(03:57):
It is God who raises up leaders of nations. It
is God who commands them, Amen, to obey. It is
God who disciplines them, chastises them, chastens them a man
when they reb Ultimately he will remove them. He has
shown this a man after a man, their wickedness has
(04:22):
run its course, and make no mistake about it. Again,
as we've already looked at this, there is no government
authority outside of a man, the sovereign rule of God. Nebka,
the great king of Battylon arguably without argument. If you
want to argue, it would be you're disagreeing with the
(04:42):
word of God. But nevertheless, this man, Nepuka Naza was
the greatest king that ever lived, a man. He had
autonomous power, only God. Amen. He had to answer to Amen,
only God, and so Amen. This great king of Babylon
(05:02):
learned a heart lesson Amen. He had to understand that
it was God who raised him up, It was God
who gave him power, It was God who gave him
the authority. Amen. But he had to come to know
that the heavens dreu. That God rules in the kingdom
of Men, and he sets up over it, as the
words of Nebukanaza is recorded in Daniel chapter four, the
(05:25):
basest of Men. Amen. And that God is sovereignly in
control a man over all of the affairs of this world.
And of course, as we also recently observed, as we
have been in our last few podcasts, the earthly visitation
(05:45):
of Jesus, and how that he interacted with the governments
of this world. He did not avoid conflict, Amen, And
he did not avoid confrontation with the rulers of this world.
Were times when, of course, they would confront him, but
certainly there were occasions where he would deliberately confront them
(06:07):
as well. Amen. So he did not avoid a confrontation
even when he came down for his earthly ministry. And
although he did, not, of course, as we know, physically
overthrow the governments of that time, his visitation completely disrupted
forever the rulers of this world. A man with his
(06:31):
kingdom coming down to this world. Amen. And as we've
already noted again in previous podcast episodes, the governments of
that day a man during the time of Jesus, Amen,
and to this very day, Amen, these governments were and
(06:51):
then are yet hostile. Amen to the rule of Christ
as the Messiah king. That he is a man. The
government of the Jews rejected him, and the government of
the Romans capitulated, to a man, the evil conspiracy of
the Jewish leaders a man to rid themselves of Jesus
(07:14):
by having him crucified, murdered, as it were, by the
Roman government. Nevertheless, unbeknownst to them, a man in their
evil schemes against the Lord, a man. They were fulfilling
what was written of them, A man was prophesied in
(07:35):
the scriptures that was given to them by the way
they had the oracles of God, they had the prophets
sent to them, a man. They had a man all
of the prophecies concerning Jesus coming into the world, and
so forth and so on. But yet they were blinded
by their jealousy, blinded by their greed, blinded by their
(07:56):
own ambitions and desires and worldly love, and so forth
and so on. And so when Jesus came, the Bible
says he came to his own and his own received
him not Amen. They rejected him soundly, rejected him from
being their king. Amen. And again, in so doing they
fulfilled what was written in the scriptures concerning him and
(08:22):
concerning them. And so after Jesus surrendered himself over to
their will, a man over to the will of his father,
a man over to the predestined and predetermined plan of God,
that he would die the death that he did. Amen.
They then, even after they fulfilled all that was written
(08:47):
concerning him, putting him to death. Amen. They then conspired
Amen together to ensure I'm talking about the governments now.
The rulers of Jews went to Pilot a man to
ensure that Jesus his tomb would be guarded. It's his
(09:08):
tomb would be sealed so that his disciples supposedly would
not come and steal away his body, and proclaimed that
he had a man risen from the dead. So again
the governments conspired together again. Even after Jesus was dead,
their hostility remained, and they just wanted to in their
(09:34):
minds at least ensure that Jesus would never be heard
from again. So little did they know, Oh, so little
did they know. This is what unbelief does. By the
way unbelief blinds a person, and God will see to
it after listen. And I don't know, I don't know
what point in time this happens within the heart of
(09:56):
a person, within the mind of a person. But after
a man, God gives individuals time and space to repent,
time to a man turn from their wicked ways. After
he has chasen them, rebuked them, Amen, admonished them, Amen,
and sent invitation after invitation, prophet after prophet preacher after preacher,
(10:21):
after God has sent Amen his word to us, as
He again has given to us. And by the way,
in our present world today, Amen, we have been given much.
And the Bible says to whom much is given, much
is required. Amen. And so after Amen. And again this
(10:44):
is all in the mind of God. I have no
idea when God cuts an individual off and you can
still be living, of course, but you will be a
living reprobate. Amen. You will be a living, breathing reprobate
with no possibility ever of being saved, of being redeemed,
because you have gone past, and this is demonstrated in
(11:07):
the scriptures over and over again. You've gone past the
point of no return. Amen. And by the way, there
is nothing. This is not necessarily a man based upon
how much sin, how much wickedness, how much evil you
have done, because again God will forgive all manner of sin.
(11:28):
And that's what Jesus said, All manner of sin will
be forgiven men except for blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.
There will never be forgiveness a man for blasphemy against
the Holy Ghost. However, a person can also reach a
point in which God has called God has a man
(11:50):
knocked on the door of their heart a man. God
has pulled at them, a man tugged at them, if
you will, a man. And they have just rebelled, they
have refused to repent. They have used up their opportunity
a man and time and space, a man to be redeemed,
(12:10):
and God simply gives them over. As the Bible speaks
about this in the Romans Chapter one, he gave them
over to a reprobate mind. In other words, he turns
you over to satan. A man. He turns you over
to complete darkness, never again a man to see the light,
the taste of the goodness of God. A man, you
(12:31):
are still living, You're still breathing, you're still moving. A man,
You're still operating in this world. And you can be
rich and powerful, you can be poor and destitute. Doesn't
preclude anyone a man based on their status a man
in life, a man from being saved, or from being
(12:51):
a man, a reprobate a man, but again a man.
There is a point of no return a man where
a man must A man come to the knowledge of
the truth. He said, I stand at the door and knocked,
And he said, because you refused, Amen, when the day
of your calamity comes, Amen. I called the wisdom of God.
(13:14):
The Bible speaks about this is in the streets on
every corner, calling out to men, begging, as it were,
pleading with men to turn Amen from their folly and foolishness. Amen.
And so again these Jewish leaders conspired together, Amen, in
(13:36):
their ultimate rejection and rebellion against the rule of God,
against the Kingdom of God. Amen. And again, unbeknownst to them,
they were fulfilling the scriptures. Amen. And so Jesus simply
surrendered himself over to them, over to their will, Amen,
and gave himself Amen, to be that ransom, to pay
(13:58):
that price that was so neat a man, by his
precious blood being shed, a man, in order to redeem
us his people, a man from our sins. Amen. But
before his ascension, and by the way, if you have
your Bibles, I'm going to go to the Gospel of
Looking to the Gospel of John for a couple of readings.
(14:19):
Here in just a moment before his ascension back up
into heaven, Amen, Jesus thoroughly warned his disciples, a man,
his apostles, a man of the hostile treatment that they
would receive a man at the hands of these same
(14:40):
Some of this in this case, because many of these
same leaders would be alive, of course, after the ascension
of Jesus and when the God, when the Gospel would
begin to be preached by the apostles, some of these
same leaders a man government rulers, a man who had
harassed and persecuted Jesus. Jesus warned his DISI, they're going
(15:00):
to do it to you as well. Let's look at
a couple of scriptures in the Gospel of Luke, first
chapter twenty one. If you have your Bible, I'm gonna
read three verses here. Look twenty one, verses ten through twelve. Amen,
Jesus thoroughly warned. And by the way, listen, the Gospel,
(15:24):
the Kingdom of God, the Church of Jesus Christ, is
not for cowards. It's not for amen, the faint of heart.
It's not for those who will not be of good courage. Amen,
persevering the faith. No, Jesus. And again, this is what
(15:45):
I love about the Bible, Love about the Word of God,
love about Jesus doing his ministry. He didn't hide, Amen,
the difficulty. Man, he didn't sugarcoat what this would be about. Amen.
He warned his disciples of what they would face a
(16:05):
man if they continued following him. Amen. And so let's
see what the Bible has to say. Just a couple
of passages, and then there are a lot more that
we could devi into, But we just want to give
you taste of what Jesus a man forecast, a man
for his church, for his believers, a man. Then verse
(16:29):
number ten, Luke twenty one, he said to them nation
will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there
will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences,
and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
(16:51):
So Jesus is predicting a man many of the things
that we are seeing even now in our world today.
But listen to what he says in verse number twelve.
But before all these things, how accurate, how precise are
the scriptures are the prophecies of the Word of God.
We're talking about the God who is sovereign, the God
(17:13):
who's in control of the God who a man predestines
and determines, predetermines all of these things. And so Jesus
knows what's going to transpire, of course, in the future.
And he's not only aware of it, but he's the orchestrator.
He's the sovereign God over all of nature, as he
(17:35):
showed himself to be. He said, but before all these things,
they will lay their hands on you and persecute you,
delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will
(17:56):
be brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. Ah.
Then the Gospel of John chapter fifteen, beginning at verse
number eighteen, these words are recorded. Listen what Jesus said again,
warning his disciples, Amen, letting them know, listen, if you're
(18:18):
going to do this, if you're going to follow after me.
And by the way, did he not say to us, Amen,
we must deny ourselves. If we're gonna be his disciple,
we must deny ourselves. We must take up the cross
and follow him daily. We must not love our lives
in this world. If you're gonna be a follower of Jesus, Amen,
(18:41):
a true disciple of Jesus, you must not love your life.
If you love your life, you're gonna lose it, Jesus says.
But if you lose your life, for my sake and
for the Gospel's sake, you'll find it. So listen what
Jesus warns his disciples of in the Gospel of John,
chapter fifteen. By the way, he was just a short
(19:02):
few hours, as it were, away from being a man betrayed,
and also later, of course, a man put on trial, beaten, amen,
and nailed to the cross. Amen. So he warns his disciple,
(19:24):
before all of this would take place, if the world
hates you, you know that it hated me before it
hated you. If you were of the world, the world
would love its own. Look at that, Look at that,
look at that. Listen. We ought not to be surprised man,
(19:45):
And the Bible tells us we are pilgrims, We are strangers.
This world is not our home. As a matter of fact,
this same John, apostle, John, who wrote the Gospel and
wrote the Book of Revelation, also wrote three epistles to
the church. He says, love not the world, neither of
the things that are in the world, but all that
is in the world, the lust of the eyes, or
lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. It
(20:07):
is not of the Father, It is not of this world.
We are not to love this world nor the things
of this world. Amen. And Jesus warned his disciples that
we are not of this world. Amen, Because if we
were of this world, the world would love us, the
world would receive us, the world would embrace us. But
(20:29):
he says, because you are not of this world, he says,
they're gonna hate you. Amen. The world would love its own.
He said, Yet, because you are not of the world,
but I chose you out of the world. That's who
the Church is. Amen. We are chosen out of the world. Therefore,
(20:49):
Jesus says, the world hates you. We must get this
deeply embedded in our hearts and minds and understand man,
the hostility that we will face if we are if
we are going to live godly in Christ. Jesus, this
is what the Bible speaks of. By the way, those
(21:09):
who will live godly in Christ, Jesus shall suffer a
man persecution. So listen with. Jesus again warns his disciples
about a man. Verse twenty. He says, remember the word
that I said to you, a servant is not greater
than his master. If they persecuted me, Jesus says, they
(21:31):
will also persecute you. If they have kept my word,
they will keep yours also. But all these things, look, listen,
listen what Jesus says. But all these things they will
do to you for my namesake, because they do not
know him who sent to me. Jesus is forewarning his
(21:55):
disciples again as to what will be forced it upon them,
What will be a man placed upon them, The harassment,
the persecution, all of that is coming. It's coming, Jesus says.
If I had come, Jesus said verse twenty two Amen
(22:18):
and spoken to them, If I had not rather come
and spoken to them, they would have no sin. But
now they have no excuse for their sin. He who
hates me hates my father. Also, if I had not
done among them the works which no one else did,
(22:39):
they would have no sin. But now they have seen
and also hated both me and my father. Clearly, I
could read on in other Amen passages where Jesus a man,
clearly won his disciples. And again even in and throughout
(23:00):
the New Testament, we're going to see some of this
a man. The apostles certainly came to that understanding about
all of this persecution. But again it was Jesus who
forewarned them. He said, you will be hated, you will
be rejected, you will be ridiculed. You're going to be expelled.
(23:21):
They're gonna put you out. They're gonna put you out
of the centagond. They're gonna put you out. Amen. They
want to even expel you from the nation, banish you. John.
The same John, by the way, was exiled to the
Isle of Patments, where he would receive the revelation of
Jesus Christ. Thank God, Amen. Even in persecution, Amen, and
(23:47):
being exiled, expelled, put out, Amen, God still has purpose
even in that. But he warned them, He forewarned them.
He said, you're gonna be harassed, You're gonna be persecuted.
And some of you, and most of them were, by
the way, you will be Jesus says, executed. Some of
(24:07):
you are gonna lose your life for my saint and man,
you're gonna lose your physical life. Amen. You will be
like lambs amongst vicious wolves. But he told them to
be harmless as doves, to be wise as serpents. A
man in a world that is going to be hostile
(24:30):
to you. They were hostile to me, Jesus says, they're
gonna be hostile to you. They hated me, They're gonna
hate you. They rejected me, and some of them will
reject you. Now again, who is this that, primarily, for
the most part, will do this to Christ's followers? We
(24:52):
know for the most part, I mean, we know that
it is the world as a whole. Amen. But generally speaking,
it will not be and it has not been the
common everyday man who has been threatened by the preaching
of the Kingdom of Heaven, by the holiness and godliness
(25:13):
that is to be proclaimed in this world. World history
has clearly demonstrated, ladies and gentlemen, here we are the
year of twenty twenty five, almost two thousand years removed
from Amen. Jesus Christ and his ministry on this earth.
World history has clearly demonstrated that the governments of this
(25:36):
world have been all violently hostile, violently hostile to the
Gospel of Jesus Christ and to the Kingdom of Heaven
like none other entity on this earth. The Church of
Jesus Christ. And I'm talking about the true Church. I'm
(26:00):
not talking about a church that is in bed with
the government, in collusion with the government, in cahoots with
the government. I'm talking about the true Church of the
Living God a man. It has been violently opposed, hostily
(26:22):
treated in this world for two thousand years, and world
history has clearly demonstrated this. It was then and it
is now. The government, rulers and leaders of this world
who hate the name of Jesus, who hate the preaching
(26:46):
of the Gospel, who hate for people to be liberated
a man, and they are in hostile opposition to the
Kingdom of Heaven's rule on this earth. They want to rule,
They want power and control and authority, as we've already
talked about. However, we must never forget the prophetic promise
(27:12):
of Jesus Christ, our Lord. He says, upon this rock,
I will build my Church, and the gates of hell
shall not prevail against it. In this world, Ladies and gentlemen,
Jesus told us we will have tribulation, we will face
(27:32):
government hostility. Amen. And they are going to be a
man opposed for the most part to the Word of
God being proclaimed. But we must persecure, persevere, We must
persevere during all of this persecution and man. Again, the
(27:54):
Bible is clear about this. They who will live godly
in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution, Jesus told us disciples,
and it's applicable to us even in a nation that
is supposedly a man a nation that is a nation
(28:14):
where you are free to exercise your religious liberty and
have religious liberty. In this nation, in our day right now,
there are government leaders and rulers who are hostile, violently
(28:35):
hostile to the name of Jesus, to the preaching of
the Gospel, to the proclamation of the Word, to the
a man speaking of the truth of God. Nevertheless, again
we must persevere. We must stand boldly with and conviction
(29:01):
to speak the truth of God in love. So help us,
God Father, again, great is your faithfulness. We thank you
that you loved us while we were yet sinners. You
died of death, Amen for us, and you've given us
the power of the Holy Spirit. Your promises. Amen that
are yea and amen. And so help us to stand
(29:22):
in such a time as to speak the truth of
God in love in a world where governments are hostile
Continually to You, to your Kingdom. Help us to amen again,
stand in this evil day, to speak your word with truth,
(29:43):
boldness and clarity. Be glorified, Be magnified in US through us. Amen.
For your namesake, we praying your thanks, Amen and Amen.
