Speaker 1 (00:14):
I love the Lord who heard my cry and he
has pitied every grown. We welcome you once again to
this another edition of End the Time Revival Ministry. She
would say, podcast for those of you who are again
listening to us by way of our audio podcast, and
of course we also welcome those of you who are
viewing us by way of our YouTube channel One Voice

(00:35):
in the Wilderness. We thank God again for another day
and another opportunity a man to speak forth the truth
of God's word in a time and season, in a
culture such as this. We proclaim the truth of God
with boldness and clarity. Plainness of speech is what we
endeavor to do a man. And we are again eternally

(00:58):
grateful to the Lord for this Amen calling. We don't
take it for granted. Amen. By the grace of God,
we are what we are and where we are, and
it again is because of a man, the sacrifice of
Jesus Christ, who gave himself a ransom for our sins,
delivered us from the power of the darkness of this world. Amen.

(01:19):
And again we are a man thankful, and we bless
his name. All right Again we continue in our Amen
series on God, Government, Church and State, God Government Church
and State. And today we're going to be looking at
a man disturbed governments disturbed, Amen, governments. And before we begin,

(01:46):
and by the way, if you have your Bible, but
you can go with us. The Acts of the Apostles.
We're going to be in chapter number three today and
a little bit into chapter number four. Let's pray and
look to the Lord again. Lord, we are always and
forever grateful to you for a man, the blood of

(02:07):
Jesus Christ that we shed for the remission of our sins.
We thank you for this great salvation, the hope that
we have that is in You, that is eternal. Lord.
We look to you now as the author and the
finish of our faith. And we pray that your word,
Lord will penetrate within the heart of someone today. Let
it be effectual in them. Oh God, work or work

(02:29):
in all of us for your glory, honor, praise, and majesties.
In the name of Jesus the Christ of Caviarty, we
pray and your thanks, Amen and amen. All right, God
bless you again. All right, let's go again. If you
have your Bibles to the Acts of the Apostles. I'll
get there in just a few moments. But as we've
already seen in our examination of the text of the

(02:52):
scriptures in previous podcasts, what I'm referring to on this
topic of God, government, church, and state. We have seen
that the God of Creation is intimately involved in the
affairs of this world, the world that He of course
has made for his glory, his honor, his praise, his majesty,

(03:13):
his dominion. Amen, it is God who ordained an established government.
Let's not forget that God is the one who ordained
and established government in this world. And in despite of
the wickedness of the hearts of man a man, God
still moves and operates within the government. Amen. And and

(03:39):
and and to the chagrin and unbelief, of course of
the carnal man, God yet rules in the kingdom of men.
And again, if you go back, as we pointed out
in particularly Daniel chapter four, pagan king by the name
of Anferican has found this out a man, and he
it is that made this state. We believe it is

(04:02):
God who reigns and rules in the kingdom of men
and gives it to whomsoever he wills. Amen. He's the
great orchestrator, a man and ruler over all a man
that exists. So in this series, of course, thus far, Amen,

(04:22):
we have observed that a man. Of course, government leaders
in particular do not like opposition. They don't like opposition
number one. Government leaders. Amen, they prefer the status quo.
And if and when there is change, Amen, it must

(04:42):
be controlled by those who are in power. They don't
like change, They like the status quot. So when change happens, Amen,
they want to be able to control it, Amen, to
regulate it, and so in their minds, in their minds,
all institutions must be regulated a man by the rulers

(05:06):
of this world. Which is why the true and I
mean true Church of Jesus Christ a man will always
be problematic a man for these princes and nobles and
kings and rulers of the world, because they operate cornally,
a man under the rule of the prince of the
power of the air Satan. And this is how and

(05:31):
where he primarily reached the majority of his habitants his
destruction a man. It is through these who sit in
high places. Nevertheless, of course, we take comfort in what
Jesus said, and knowing and having this assurance that the
gates of hell shall not prevail against the onslaught of
the Church. And keep in mind, of course, that means

(05:52):
we are on the offensive. We're not on the defensive.
We are on the offensive. And please also note that
the governments of this world and not necessarily opposed to religion.
As a matter of fact, a man, many of them,
are ruined and operated by religion. They hate and reject

(06:12):
Jesus as their messiah, king and their ruling authority. That's
the problem of ladies and gentlemen. They hate Jesus. They
don't hate religion. They don't have a problem with religion.
So we're not talking about religion. And by the way,
as I've said so many times, and it bears repeating, Christianity,
I'm talking about true Christianity. We're talking about salvation. I'm

(06:35):
not come back from the world's perspective. I mean from
the biblical perspective. Christianity is not a religion a man.
Christianity is God's salvation. Christianity is Christianity is all about redemption,
God redeeming a people, a man for his namesake. So

(06:56):
and again me reiterate. We talk about amen government being
in opposition to the Church. We're talking about the true
Church of Jesus Christ. They're not opposed to religion, Amen,
They're not opposed to faith. It is only when the
faith involves the exclusivity of Jesus Christ as Messiah, Jesus

(07:20):
Christ as King, Jesus Christ as Lord. That's where governments, Amen,
are hostile. And when they are hostile. And we've seen
this throughout the history of the Church of Jesus Christ
post Pentecosts, in particular. Amen, that the world of human
governments globally, Amen, have not only been adversarial to the

(07:45):
true Church of Jesus Christ, but in many cases, and
very often overtly, they don't even hide it. Amen, they
have sought the total destruction of the Church. Amen. And
so what we're going to see very shortly here and
Acts chapter three, if you have your Bibles, that the

(08:05):
opposition and persecution that Jesus warned his apostles about, that
he warned them what happened to them, and he diligently,
of course, prepared them for this. And certainly the outpouring
of the Holy Spirit upon them, and the visible manifestation
of Jesus Christ risen from the dead, that they all witness.

(08:26):
And then the Bible tells Us above five hundred brethren, Amen,
saw him after his resurrection. So you take those two
things in conjunction, Amen, with the Word of God and
the promises of God being fulfilled. So you have the
Word of God, you have the Spirit of God, and
you have a man there eye witness, a man visage visual, visual,

(08:52):
if you will, seeing Jesus after he was raised from
the dead. That put all of the confidence. It changed
everything a man. I cannot even emphasize enough a man,
the resurrection of Jesus Christ changing everything. Amen. So after

(09:12):
we and we talked about this in our last session,
Pentecostal disturbance, the Pentecostal disturbance that happened, and after this
Pentecostal disturbance under their Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was
sent from having the promised comforter who was to come. Amen.
So after this the Church of Jesus Christ was added

(09:33):
to greatly. As matter of fact, on that very same
day the Bible said they were added unto them about
three thousand souls. And of course hell was not going
a man to be docile and allow the intrusion, if
you will, of the power of the Gospel, a man
to shake the foundations of the world of darkness without

(09:54):
strong resistance and so hell itself and again working through
the powers of those who are in authority. And this
is what we're going to see today. Amen, that that
that they would not sit idolely by while Peter and

(10:16):
John and the apostles in the church just wean the
way if you will their power. Amen. So delusional, by
the way, is the adversary. Don't forget this. So delusional
is the devil? So delusional are his followers in their

(10:36):
state of fallenness and blindness. Of course, both he and
they are, in actuality persuaded in their minds, Amen, that
they can successfully oppose what God has predestined to do.

(10:56):
They actually believe that they can stop church. They actually
believe that they can wipe out a man, the Church
of Jesus Christ, and a successfully defeated If you will, no,
they I mean, this is this is real. This is real,
true delusion, and this is why Satan is still operating.

(11:19):
He knows, he knows, the devil knows he has a
short time. The Bible speaks about this. He knows that
he has a short time. He knows his destination. You
remember when Jesus was here during his earthly ministry and demons.
A man trembled, and they begged a man not to
be sent back to the abyss. They didn't want to

(11:41):
go back into the a man that place of eternal,
a man abyst and so they know. But there's something
about delusion, there's something about being so deceived that you
you just still operate as if a man you you
are in the right, and that you are going to

(12:03):
be victorious. And so this is how and why we
still have yet to this day, of course, and it's
never going to stop. It's never going to cease, this
kind of again hostility and adversarial opposition to the preaching
of the Gospel, the proclamation that Jesus Christ is Lord,

(12:25):
that Jesus Christ is the Way, the only way truth.
And this will continue. And so the church again we
must rest in this assurance that God has a man
given to us. Now, Acts Chapter three, we're gonna begin
at first on eleven, but let me just give you
a quick little background of the first ten verses. Acts

(12:46):
Chapter three deals with the apostles Peter and John going
up to the Temple, and this is of course, in
the aftermath of the birth of the church, and they
were still attending a man temple prayer services that morning,
about nine am or so, going to the temple to pray,
to pray, and before they could enter, there was a man,

(13:09):
the Bible teachers, that was laid at the gate of
the temple so that he could He was crippled by
the way, and he had never walked. He was about
forty years old. All of these things are in the text.
And he was laid there daily at the temple a
man to seek alms assistance money from the people who

(13:30):
would be coming by, and seeing Peter and John, Bible
tells us, he asks of them money. Peter along with
John looked at the man, and the Bible tells us
that they said to him silver and gold we don't have,
but such as we do have, we give to you
in the name of Jesus Christ. A man rise up

(13:54):
and walk. The Bible tells us Peter took the man
by the hand, and he immediately receive strength in his
feet and its eight bones. That he leaped and he walked,
And not only that, he began to run and leap
all through the temple. And the people were all amazed

(14:14):
at what had just transpired. Amen, And so we pick
it up at verse number eleven. The Bible says verse
number eleven. Now as the lame man who was healed
held on to Peter and John, all the people ran
together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's
greatly amazed. And so when Peter saw it, now he

(14:35):
is the opportunity to Peter sees an opportunity. He sees
an opening, he sees a door. God is opening doors
that no one can shut. He shuts the doors that
no one can open open. So Peter now sees the
open door, and he says to the people men of Israel,
this is his second message. By the way, the first

(14:57):
one actually is third. But the Poe pentecosts Amen. On
the day of Pentecost, he preached a magnificent message Amen,
acts chapter two, And the Bible also tells us other
than what was recorded there, he with many other words
exhorted them. So we don't know what else he said.
I would love to know. But nevertheless, Amen. He now

(15:20):
takes this opportunity to again preach Jesus the Gospel of Salvation,
which is the apostle. Paul says, the power of God
unto salvation to everyone that believes. So, Peter sees the
opportunity and he seizes upon it, and he responds to
the people by saying, men of Israel, why do you

(15:41):
marvel at this? Why do you look so intently at us,
as though by our own power or godliness we had
made this man walk? The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
the God of our fathers, glorified his vant Jesus, whom
you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilot

(16:05):
when he was determined to let him go. But you
denied the Holy One and the Just and ask for
a murderer to you, and killed the Prince of life,
whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses,

(16:26):
and his name, through faith in his name has made
this man strong, whom you see. And no, yes, the
faith which comes through him has given him this perfect
soundness in the presence of you all. Yet, now, brother,

(16:47):
in verse seventeen, I know that you did it in ignorance.
This is what he says, as did also your rulers,
the rulers, the government officials who hate Jesus, who rejected Jesus.
They did it in ignorance, not an excuse ignorance, Amen,
on their part. But it was nevertheless ignorance, because you

(17:10):
are ignorant if you don't believe that Jesus is God,
that Jesus is the Messiah, that Jesus is the Judge,
that Jesus is the Savior, that Jesus is the Way,
Truth and life. Amen, you are living in ignorance. Amen,
so Peter says to them. Yet now, brother, and I
know that you did it in ignorance, as did also
your rulers. But those things which God foretold by the

(17:34):
mouth of all his prophets, that the Christ would suffer,
he has thus fulfilled. Repent therefore and be converted, that
your sins may be blotted out, so that times of
refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and
that he may send to Jesus Christ, who was preached

(17:56):
to you before, whom heaven must reach until the times
of restoration of all things which God has spoken by
the mouth of all his holy prophet since the world began.
And we cut it right there. Amen. But the apostle Peter,
a man, again preaches a sterling sermon message if you will, amen,

(18:21):
and reminded the people of their rejection of Jesus, their
crucifixion of Jesus, betrayal of Jesus a man. And that Jesus,
this same one that you rejected, the same one that
you traded in, as it were for a murderer, a man,

(18:42):
This same Jesus that you saw a man nailed to
the cross, crucified by the Roman soldiers, by the Roman government.
That same Jesus is alive, He is risen from the dead,
and we preach him, and it is threw him by
him alone, that you must be saved, that you must repent,

(19:06):
that you must, a man be converted. And so after
a man preaching these words, the Bible tells us this
is what we get to chapter four. As they spoke
to the people, watch what happens. The priest, the captain
of the temple, and the sadducees came upon them, came

(19:28):
upon who came upon the apostles as they were preaching
the word of God. Now listen to this verse two
very carefully. They were, and I'm reading from the new
King James version, being greatly disturbed, not like the King
James version. By the way he says they were grieved.
They were grieved in their hearts at what was transpiring here.

(19:53):
The Bible says, being greatly disturbed, that they taught the
people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. Now,
the Sadducees, particularly by the way the Pharisees, on one hand,
they believed in angels, they believed in the afterlife. They

(20:15):
believed in a man the resurrection of the dead. The
Sadducees who had the charge of the temple, this is
the high priest and all of his a man relatives.
And and this is amazing by the way that we're
talking about the priesthood. We're talking about as it were,

(20:36):
the preachers, ministers, those who ministered at the altar, those
who a man had the oracles of God and were
to be the teachers and instructors of the people.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
These individuals who had the law a man in their
hands and at the responsibility of the worship for.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
The people with the people amen, these among the Sadducees,
along with the Sadducees, do not even believe in the
of the dead. And two that in ladies and gentlemen,
we have people today, preachers, ministers, and folk in the

(21:22):
church that do not only not believe if I can
double negative here in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But
they're not even looking forward to the return of Jesus.
They are all about the here and the now. Oh
my God, I just I just want to go to

(21:44):
First Corinthians fifteen. So bad because Paul makes the argument,
if there's no resurrection of the dead, what are we doing?
In other words, what are we doing? What are we
even doing here? Amen? If this is all there is
to life, if this is all there is to it,
we doing. Amen. So these government leaders, sadducees, priests, Amen,

(22:10):
captain of the temple, this is the police, if you will,
the guards they were, the Bible says, greatly disturbed. So
the government is disturbed. Now we have a disturbance among
the rulers. Amen. That they taught the people and preached
in the Jesus the resurrection from the dead. So what

(22:34):
do they do, ladies and gentlemen, Ladies and gentlemen, The
Bible tells us Verse three, Acts, chapter four. They laid
hands on them. In other words, they this was not
this was not some Will you guys please come with us?

(22:56):
I mean, I mean, I'm sure they roughed them up,
grabbing them and yanking them as it were. I'm not
saying they put them down and put a chokehold on
them or anything, but I'm sure they whisked them away
a man and probably bound them up, and chains and shackles,
if you will, or whatever it was they use ropes

(23:18):
tie them up, and the Bible says they laid hands
on them and put them in custody, in other words,
in prison, in jail, in the holding cell, if you will,
until the next day, for it was already evening. So
in other words, remember Peter and John went up to

(23:39):
the temple at the hour prep in the ninth hour,
So this was nine am in the morning when all
of this began to unfold, And it was by the
time of the a man arrest of the apostles almost
six pm in the evening. So you had a whole day,
if you will, of all kinds of basically commotion and

(24:02):
going on and no matter. I'm not sure what all
had transpired, but this we do know. Version number four. However,
many of those who heard the word believed, and the
number of the men came to be about five thousand.

(24:23):
So now I don't know how long after the Pentecostal
disturbance that this a man transpired, because at the end
of chapter two we know the church had already begun
their fellowship and breaking the bread. And we know that
on the day of Pentecosts, at the Pentecostal Disturbance, there were,

(24:47):
according to Luke's a gospel here or writing rather about
three thousand souls added to the church on the very
first day. And so if you add the three thousand
and the five thousand, so now we have a megachurch
of eight thousand in a matter of perhaps a couple
of weeks or so. But nevertheless, in the interval there

(25:11):
may have been others that had been added to the church.
And so now again this only adds to the level
of a man grieving that is happening inside of the
a man. Government officials who are deeply disturbed and perturbed
about what is happening a man. And so again, if

(25:34):
you look at all of what Jesus promised to do
and all of what is now transpiring the pentecost of
disturbance that begin on the day of Pentecost, it continues
to this day. And again the powers that be are
greatly grieved. They are troubled in their minds, and now

(25:54):
again they are scrambling to hold on, to attempt to
hold on to again. This is the delusion of the mind.
They think that they can hold onto their power. They
think that they can still be in control, because they
actually believe that they're in control. They don't. They don't
see themselves as subservient to the God of Heaven, to

(26:17):
the law of God, to the a man sovereignty of God.
No no, no, no, no, no, no no no. They don't
see themselves as servants of God, a man, ministers of
God in the sense that they are accountable to him. No, no,
no no. They believe that they have the power and
the control and the authority a man, and they have

(26:39):
the ability to orchestrate and again regulate all affairs any entity,
every entity must be controlled, any individual who rises up
with power and the people begin to follow them. They've
got to see what's happening. They did it with John
the Baptists, they did it with Jesus, and now they're

(27:00):
doing it with the Apostles. They've got to put this down.
We can't have this. No no, no, no no. So again
they are grieved in their hearts and now again scrambling
to try to see how they can put down this uprising.

(27:20):
Now again, eight thousand, that's no small number, Amen, eight
thousand people have left their religion as it were, and
join the True and the Living Church of God. Amen.
And so this is this is this is not good,
This is not good in their minds there they are
troubled about this. Amen. And so keep in mind again too,

(27:46):
it's not the common man who is disturbed and disgruntled, Amen,
by the apostles preaching Jesus. No, it is rather again
the priests of the Law of Ordinances, a man again,
who were in charge of the temple and the sacrifices
and the animal sacrifices, and and again the Law of Moses,

(28:10):
as God had given it to them. These are the
people who should have known. Amen. They had the law
and the prophets. They should have known when Jesus came uh,
and they should have known who he was. They should
have should have known the time of his visitation. All
of that was revealed to them. Amen. And so you
have these priests, you have these temple officers, you have

(28:33):
the Sadducees, a man again who had control of all
of the religious affairs the high priests. We saw that
with Jesus, Amen, and and and and and and and
and yet a man they are uh still again delusional
and now they have to deal with yet another challenge.

(28:59):
Are stated from the out said they don't like anything changing,
they don't want any change to the status quo. So
now they got yet another challenge Amen, some more a
troubling competition, if you will, to their power and authority,

(29:19):
and not quite knowing what to do about the people
being delivered from the bondage of religion and the tradition
of men, they quickly moved to have Peter and John
arrested until they can once again convene, get together, put
their heads together, come up with some ideas, strategize as

(29:41):
to what they're going to do to stop this massive
AMEN movement that is underway because they're they're losing converts,
they're bleeding membership, membership, Amen. And so when you start
bleeding membership, Amen, No, no, no, something's got to be
aren't about this? So they they've got to convene. So

(30:03):
they arrest Peter and John, put them in the prison
until the next day so that they can get together
and figure out what are we going to do about this, heymen,
We thought we had gotten rid of Jesus, the name
of Jesus, the memory of Jesus. And now these fellas

(30:25):
are preaching this risen the dead and proclaiming that Jesus
has risen from the dead. And we thought we had
disposed of all of that amen. But on their part,
it was shortsighted when they sentenced Jesus, when they betrayed Jesus,
when they gave him over to the Roman government to

(30:46):
be crucified, and took barrabbits back into their community. Now,
keep in mind, there is no amount of planning, no
amount of scheming on the part of the most powerful
and the most prominent of the princes and the elites
of this world that will a man prosper. It won't prosper.

(31:11):
And they continue by the way again because they are
delusion them. They'll continue to be instruments of a man
of the devil. They will continue to be aligned with
the powers of the darkness of this world. And again,
in the effort to put down what God is highly exalted,

(31:33):
they're trying to put down that name of Jesus. They
were disturbed about the apostles preaching Jesus, preaching that Jesus
was risen from the dead, preaching repentance and salvation in
the name of Jesus. They were greatly disturbed. But God
is highly exalting him and giving him a name. The
Bible says that is above every name, it is that

(31:55):
the name of Jesus Christ. Every need must bow, every
tongue must contest that that he is Lord. Nevertheless, in
all of their feeble attempts, we need not fear. Amen.
What mere mortal man conceives of contrives in his mind,

(32:15):
a man concocts in all of his a man convening
of counsels, a man in order to again bring the
church down, bring the church to destruction. The Bible makes
a promise in the Old Testament, no weapon that is
formed against you is going to prosper. So no weapon

(32:39):
formed against the Church of Jesus Christ can prosper. Jesus said,
up on this rock again, I build my church. The
gates of hell shall not prevail. No tongue, Oh man,
we can even, Oh, there are so many promises, no tongue.
The Bible also promises rising up to accuse us to
bear false witness against us, to slender and to impune

(33:03):
if you will the Church of Jesus Christ, the people
of God. None of it will prevail, none of it
will work, none of it will prosper. The Bible says,
this is the heritage of the saints of God and
their righteousness. The Lord says is from me. Let me
close with Romans Chapter of eight. Paul said, what shall

(33:27):
we say to these things? Verse thirty one. If God
before us, and he is not only for us, he
is with us? Amen, who can be against us? He
that spared not his own son, but delivered him up
for us? All the Bible says, how shall he not
with him also freely give us all things? Who shall
lay anything to the charge of God's elect It is

(33:51):
God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ,
that God yea brother that has risen again, who is
even at the right end of God, who also maketh
intercession for us? Who shall separate us from the love
of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine,

(34:16):
or nakedness or peril or sword, as it is written,
for thy sake we are killed all the day long.
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter, nay, and
all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him
that loved us. Listening with the apostle, Paul closes in

(34:38):
these magnificent words of encouragement to the church. He says,
for I am persuaded, and that's where you and I
must be as the people of God. For I am
persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things to come things that are present,

(35:04):
nor height, nor death nor any other creature will be
able to separate us from the love of God that
is in Christ. Jesus, our Lord, are you persuaded again?

(35:25):
The Church is always going to be I'm talking about
the true Church of Jesus Christ. It will always be
a man, a thorn, as it were in the side
of government leaders. And again we're going to see that
again because our God is sovereign, because he is completely
and totally in control, and he is the orchestrator of

(35:48):
all things. A man. God even uses government, and not
every and all government, not every government leader, ruler, official,
not all of them are corrupt. By the way, because
God has his people also in places and positions of

(36:08):
power and authority. We've already talked about that in the past. Nevertheless,
I'm speaking of government as a whole, government in general.
A man in the carnal ram, in the earthly ram,
in the fleshly realm of carnal man, that government, that
kind of leadership, that a man, coalition of government. And

(36:31):
nobodyle speaks about this. So number two we've harped on
it plentifully. They are against God, they are against his Christ,
they are against his authority and his rule and his law.

in his Word are in separable. And so therefore we
walk by faith and not by sight, and we lean
