Speaker 1 (00:13):
I would have painted, I would have lost heart, I
would have given up. I would have gone back, says
the Summons, unless I had believe to see the goodness
of the Lord in the land of the Living. Weight
On the Lord be of good courage, and he shall
strengthen your hard weight. I say on the Lord, we
(00:34):
welcome you once again to this another edition of End
Time Revival Ministries, you'll say podcast. For those of you
who listen to us by way of our audio podcast,
we welcome you to this another edition, and we are
grateful as always again to the Lord for allowing us
this opportunity. A man to be a spokesperson for his word,
(00:55):
Son of Man, I've set you as a watchman to
the house of Israel. The Lord spoke to his prophet Ezekiel,
hear the word from my mouth, and give them warning
from me. So we are called. A man to a man,
speak forth the truth of God with plainness, soberness, A
man preach the word, being instant in season out of season,
(01:18):
reproved rebuke exhort. The New Testament writer Apostle Paul a
man in speaking to his son Timothy with all long
suffering and doctrine. Because the time will come when they
will not want to endure sound doctrine. Make no mistake
(01:38):
about it. The preacher of the Gospel, the prophet of God,
the man of God, whom God calls a man to
speak forth his truth, has a grave responsibility, a great
responsibility that's laid upon his shoulder. And a man, no
matter how distasteful disdainful it may be, to the hear,
(02:03):
to the listener, to the rebel, Amen, to the sinner, Amen,
he must know, he must hear. Amen, what the saith
the Lord, And so a man again, it is the
word of God. It's not ours, it's not mine. Amen.
I'm simply a carrier, the deliverer, the a man spokesperson
(02:25):
who hears from the Lord and speaks for what God
has spoken. It is a privilege, it is an honor.
And we pray that as always, the word of the
Lord will have free course, and that Amen. People will hear,
people will obey, and people will come to repentance. Amen,
And people will come to know that Jesus, of course
(02:48):
is the Christ, the son of the Living God, the
savior of all them that believe. All right again, we
welcome you, those of you who listen to us by

we continue in our series that we've been in for
(03:30):
the past several months. Now it seems I believe a
man on God, Government, church, and state. Amen, And today
we're going to focus on this topic, if you will,
the fight against God, the fight against God. And before
we began, let us amen, if you will take a
(03:52):
moment to a man, invoke the presence of the Lord
and acknowledge Him in all that we say and do. Father, again,
the greatest your faithfulness to us, your mercy, Thank you
for favor, loving kindness, Thank you for calling us to
this great salvation, delivering us from the power of sin, satan, darkness, Amen,
(04:13):
evil and wickedness, and giving us the ability to walk right,
to live, right, to look to you and to look
in expectation of your return. Help us a man to
be faithful men to the call to the Word, to
your amen, holiness and righteousness right here in this present world.
Lord opens someone's eyes today, someone's ears today, someone's heart today,
(04:36):
to come to know that you are the truly living God,
and there is none other beside the God. Be glorified.
And all we say and do in Jesus' name we
bring if thanks Amen and Amen again Amen, We'll thank
you to the Lord for amen this day we take
it one day at a time. Having obtained help from
the Lord, we continue the fight against God. Now, please
(05:01):
make no mistake about it, this fallen world, which of
course is led by the powers of the darkness of
this world, principalities and powers. This is what they Apostle
Paul warned us, the Church that we are fighting against.
We're not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities
and powers, the spiritual wickedness that lurks in the high places.
(05:22):
They work again, as I've said in a previous podcast,
chiefly they work these demonic forces and powers in persons
who are in places of influence, levels of power, government institutions,
(05:43):
but primarily in governments all over the world. And this
has been shown historically to be the case when especially
a man rises to a level of power that is
literally un checked. A man and such as one who
(06:03):
is a king who has almost autonomous power, and rulers
of nations who have powers, and or in our day
so called asocracies, western style governments, that a man have
collusions of people of like mind who again, as again,
(06:28):
this is all in the scriptures. By the way, the
Bible speaks of Amen, of the kings of this earth,
the rulers of this earth, Amen, and of this world
coming against God, don't want the restraints of His word,
his commands, Amen, his precepts Amen to bind them. And
(06:49):
so they wanted to cast away the cords of God's Amen,
precepts and his word and live a life that is
a free and autonomus us from God. And so the
princes of this world, the kings of this world, the
rulers of this world, the governments of this world, are
(07:10):
engaged in a war that it cannot win. They are
for they are warring against God. They are fighting against God.
It is the fight against God. That's exactly what it is.
It is spiritual warfare. Again, that's not what we are
wrestling against. As the Church, and we must recognize it,
(07:32):
and we must understand what it is that we are
fighting against a man. And this, this spiritual warfare, has
been ongoing since the fall of Adam in the Garden
of Eden. And there is delusion in this world. The
demonic powers and forces of the darkness continue to deceive
(07:52):
a man men into believing. They actually do believe that
they can successfully overthrow what God has purposed to do,
what God has decreed, what God has ordained. They actually
believe it that they can change the course of this world,
(08:13):
change what God has already a man again decreed that
will come to past. Jesus made a promise, ladies and gentlemen,
concerning his church more narrowly focused. He said he would
build it and the gates of Hell would not prevail
against it. And of course there are and have been,
(08:35):
and it's ongoing in our day. Of course, there have
been multiple attempts on many different parts, by many different governments,
by different leaders people who have risen up against the
Church to try to stop it amen, to try to
prevent the Church from becoming a reality. Of course, we
look at the history of the Book of the Acts,
(08:58):
in the Book of the acts brother of the Church,
and the same kind of forces, same kind of government, powers, institutions, leaders, rulers. Amen.
They are still here Amen, in spirit, in the same spirit, Amen,
and attempting to stop what God has again purposed and
(09:21):
decreed to come to pass. And God is still by
the way Jesus, as he promised, He is still adding
to his church daily such as should be saved. He
is gathering his sheep into his sheepfold, as he promised,
there would be one shepherd, one sheepfold. He said, my
sheep hear my voice a stranger, they will not follow,
(09:43):
they'll flee from them. Amen. And so we are amen,
being gathered. The church is into Amen, the sheepfold of
the Lord Jesus Christ. And we've already examined in recent
podcast episodes. Of course, Us himself encountered and interacted with
(10:03):
the hostile government that he faced. The government leaders, the
rulers of the people primarily were hostile against him. The multitudes,
if you read through the Gospel, many of them, most
of them, except for when they were being stirred up
by the rulers, They were receptive of Jesus. They were
following Jesus. Multitudes of people were flocking. Again, many of
(10:27):
them were only for there for the fishing loads, as
it were, Jesus said, and when he began to speak
the hard things, many of them, of course departed from
him and welk no more. For the most part, the
people were receptive of Jesus. It was the government. It
was the rulers. Again, they don't like Listen, no government,
(10:47):
no ruler, no person in power likes to feel threatened,
especially when they're lifted up in pride. And again I'm
not paining with a broad brush, but this is for
the most part the way it operates in our world.
I mean government leaders and rulers a man. And again,
(11:08):
those who are not rooted and grounded in reality and
in the truth of God and have a fear of God,
they are threatened whenever there is something that is potentially
upsetting to the status quo. And this is what happened
with the Church. This is what happened with Jesus when
he came, of course, And so again we've already examined
(11:28):
in some of our previous podcasts how that they dealt
with Jesus, how they dealt with a man. The early
Church and the Apostles whom God had equipped, whom the
Lord had equipped and chosen by the way about the
mission that he would give to them, go into all
the world, preached the Gospel to every creature. He that
(11:49):
believes in is baptized, shall be saved. He that believes
not would be condemned. Go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name and the name of the Father,
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. And then
he said to them, Lo, I'm with you always, even
to the end of the world. So he equipped them,
(12:12):
He prepared them a man to preach the gospel. And
he told him that they would face hostility. He told them, look,
they have not received me. They won't receive you. They
rejected me, they're going to reject you. They persecuted me,
they're going to prosecute you. They put me out, they'll
put you out. Amen. And so they knew what to expect.
And so, of course, after Jesus ascended back up to heaven,
(12:36):
the apostles went out doing and performing a man in
the power of the holy ghosts, just as Jesus had done.
And of course we've been examined how that Peter and
John went up to the Temple Acts Chapter three, the
Hour Prayer. There was a lame man there whom a
man the power of the Holy Spirit healed, made him
to walk. The people began to gather around, and there
(12:58):
was such an uproar, And the Bible tells us that
many people were converted a man on that day and
added to the church. But the people, the government, the
government of the people of a they were not happy
about this. The leaders, they were upset, they were threatened,
they were intimidated. Amen, And again they tried to intimidate
(13:21):
the apostles, just as they had attempted to intimidate Jesus.
They had threatened Jesus, and of course finally put Jesus
to death. But they are now seeking to deplore their
same Amen warfare tactics now against the Church, because now
(13:41):
the Church is a threat. The Church is a man,
threat to the status quo, to their power, to their influence,
their authority over men, to their religious order, and so forth.
And so now they have to figure out how are
they going to deal with yet another again threat to
(14:03):
their power and prestige. They've gotten rid of John the Baptists,
he's gone. They've gotten rid of Jesus. Supposedly, at least
in their minds, he's gone. Amen. From the emits from
from their mitch, brother and man, they don't see him.
The more physically bodily, of course, we know that he
has risen from the dead, and he's at the right
(14:24):
hand of the Majesty on High. Amen. And so now
these same government leaders, by the way, these are the
same people, because this is in the aftermath of Jesus
ascending back up into heaven. This is shortly after Amen,
He's appeared to the disciples and strengthened them and gave
them the courage, and of course by them witnessing him
(14:46):
being raised from the dead bodily, you remember Thomas said,
except I see the nail, Prince, except I see for myself, Amen,
I won't believe. And of course he saw it, and
he believed in all. All of the apostles saw it,
and believed in only their pentecosts a man in one
hundred and twenty of them were in the upper room, Amen,
(15:08):
when the Holy Ghost was poured out as promised. Amen.
And so now they went out into the world, just
as Jesus had instructed them, preaching the gospel beginning at Jerusalem.
And now a miracle of healing has been performed on
this crippled man who was crippled from his mother's womb.
And now there's an uproar. The people are believing a
(15:31):
man of religious order is being threatened. And the rulers
of the people, again, having dispelled themselves of Jesus, if
you will, have now got another problem on their hand.
What are we going to do with this rapidly growing
(15:51):
movement that is called the church. Jesus promise, he said,
I'm going to build my church in the gates of Hell.
Will not veil against it. Now this church is a
threat to the religious hierarchy, to their control. Amen. And
so now this church has got to be stopped by
any means necessary. And so the government rulers they came
(16:19):
to the conclusion. I suppose that if they they say,
if we get the leaders if we get the leadership,
then this movement will go away a lot. That's the
thinking of a lot, cut off the head of the snake,
as it were, if you will. They thought that by
getting rid of Jesus, that would you know. But they're
(16:42):
so wrong, so wrong, so misguided, so delusion, you know, Amen,
So deceived, are they? And so we're going to go back,
if you will, into Acts chapter number five, will pick
it up again there where Amen, the apostles have already
been threatened and brought before the council. Then they've been
(17:04):
put into prison, as it were, into the lock up.
Rulers could get themselves together and figure out what they're
going to do. And so they went to the prison
to have them, or they sent rather to the prison
to have them brought forth to the council so that
(17:25):
they could confer with them again and try to persuade
them that this would not be in their best interest
to go forward a man with all of this preaching
and teaching about this Jesus that they had gotten rid of.
And so the Bible tells us that they went to
the prison to look for them, but they were gone, because,
(17:47):
as we've already discovered, a man in the text that
an angel of the Lord was dispatched from heaven came
down to the prison by night and released a man
Peter and John from the prison and told them to
go stand right there in the midst of the people. Amen,
(18:08):
go preach to them all the words of this life. Amen.
So God listen you can't. This is you can't fight.
You can't fight against what God has already a man
determined will be. I mean, this is what they're engaged in.
There are in a fight against God, is what they're
about to find out. And so they went to the
(18:31):
They went rather assent, if you will, the guards, the
captains and the police, the government police went to the
prison to fetch the apostles and bring them before the council.
And they didn't find them. And in the way, when
what's going on here? So the Bible says that verse
(18:52):
twenty five, we're gonna pick it up there. Then came
one and told them, saying, I'm reading from Acts chapter five,
King James courage. In verse twenty five. One came and
told them, saying, behold, the men whom you put in
prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people. Wow,
(19:13):
wait a minute, how can this be? The Bible says
verse twenty six. Then went the captain with the officers
and brought them without vibe, for they feared the people
lest they should have been stoned. And when they had
brought them, they set them before the council, and the
high priests asked them saying, did not we straightly command you?
(19:44):
I like that. I like this, I like this, I
like this. These guys man, see, you know, these people
think that they really do believe that they have power.
They really do think that they can control that. Yeah,
they really they live in delusion. I mean, they really
(20:04):
don't even have they have the little power that they
do possess. Of course, they really don't have it. That
I mean at any point in time, if if God
would have would permitted, and we've seen these kind of
just and I'm talking about just in the world. When
when when when you have uprisings with the people, with
(20:26):
the common people, the peasants, with their pitchforks, as it were,
a man, if they were to come against a man,
the government with all the police, force and power, I
mean listen to some extent, I mean, but if they could,
they can put down some some rebellion, some violence. But listen,
make no mistake about it, if all the people of
(20:48):
this world, or any Indian nation for the most part,
were to come in coalition, were to come in agreement
against any government for the most part, they would overthrow it.
They could overthrow it. So the little power that some
of these government officials, you know, get all, you know,
(21:10):
swollen up with in their minds and hearts, and not
understanding again that it comes from God, is granted by God. Amen.
You are there, Amen, because God has put you there,
placed you there, and so here these the high priests,
and especially expecially we're not even talking about pagan governments.
(21:31):
We're not talking about talking about These people are supposed
to be the people of God, who understand where their
authority comes from, who understand that God is sovereign and
he reigns and rules over all of the kingdoms of
this world. Yet here they are swollen up, if you will,
(21:52):
in their power, Amen, in their amen, pride, arrogance. Saying
to the apostles, did not we straightly command you that
you should not teach in this name? And behold you
(22:13):
have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine and intend to bring
this man's blood upon us? Then Peter verse twenty nine,
and the other apostles answered and said, we ought to
obey God rather than men. Amen, brother Peter, Amn. Listen,
(22:36):
anytime a government. We've already talked about this, I'm not
gonna belabor it. Anytime a government, anytime, any institution, any man, period,
issues orders decrees that are contrary to the word of God,
contrary to what God has commanded us to do. In
other words, they forbid you to do something that you
(22:58):
have already been come man to do by God. They say, no,
you can't, No you must not, you cannot. We are
to obey God. Now, that's when they forbid us to
do something that God has commanded us to do, that
(23:21):
God has instructed us to do, we are to engage
in civil disobedience. And then, of course, if they command
us to do something that God has forbidden us to do,
we are not to do it. Amen. We are to
refrain from engaging in amen. Activities, Amen, things that the
(23:48):
government compels us to do that God has forbidden us
to do. Amen. And so again the Apostles, along with Peter,
say we ought to obey God rather than men. And
Peter went on and the apostles brother went on to
speak in verses thirty a man to thirty two. Look
(24:12):
what he said. They say here. If it's probably Peter,
more likely the God of our fathers raised up Jesus. Oh,
I love this three little short verses here where the
I mean preaching preaching, preaching man you're talking about preaching
and preaching conviction. Watch it. Watch what they say. The
God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew
(24:35):
and hang on a tree, who just won't let them
forget it, just won't let them forget it. You're not
gonna listen. No, no, no, no, no, no no no.
You are guilty, guilty, guilty, and we're gonna keep reminding you.
And Peter and the apostles they did just that. They
reminded them, a man you killed, Jesus, you killed the
(25:02):
prince of life. You, by your wicked hands took him,
and you said, by the way, his blood be upon
our hands. Amen. And now they have the nerve to say,
are you well. You keep preaching this Jesus, and you
tend to bring this man blood upon it. You said it,
his blood be upon us and our children. So Peter
(25:24):
reminds them, and the apostles remind them that God has
raised up this Jesus, the same one that you crucified. Amen,
God has exalted Verse thirty one. Him God had exalted
with his right hand to be a prince and a savior,
for to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins,
(25:47):
and we verse thirty two are his witnesses of these things.
And so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath
given to them that obey him. The Bible says verse
thirty three, when they heard that they were cut to
(26:09):
the heart and took counsel to now slay them. Listen again,
it's just saying the devil has no new tricks. It's
the same tactics, the same little gimmicks. To listen, Jesus said,
(26:29):
he comes to steal, he comes to kill, he comes
to destroy. And so when the church began to be birthed,
you had the Pentecostal explosion on the day of Pentecosts. Then,
(26:50):
of course shortly thereafter, when Peter and John went up
to the temple and the Lameman was here, there were
thousands more added to the church. And Bible said the
believers were all on accord. They went from house to
housebreaking bread. I mean many, many, many souls were being
converted from a man the old mosaic law and commands.
(27:15):
And and now understanding that this Jesus that Moses spoke
about is the one that had come whom they had crucified,
and many of them a man in believing the preaching
of the gospel turned in repentance a man, and and
and and was now being added to the church, and
(27:36):
and and and and. So there there had to be
a response from the government leaders and rulers who were
now losing their grip of power. Remember, they had a
religious government, if you will, amen, And they had control
of the people, uh, the high priests in particular the Sanhedrin,
(27:59):
the count so all of the elders inscribes, the rulers
of the people. They were in control even from the
religious perspective. The Pharisees and Sadducees were held in high
regard from the religious perspective. And so these that were
rulers of the people, they're not they're not they're not
they're not. No, no, no, no, no, no no. They're not happy
(28:20):
about this at all. Amen. So this is the government now,
a man upset about what is happening, upset about what
is transpiring. And so when the enemy fails with his
intimidation tactics. You remember they tried that first. We need
to intimidate them. We got to stop them from this.
When that fails, the devil will ultimately always turn to violence.
(28:43):
And death murder. So these government leaders who are doing
the deeds of the devil Jesus already told me you
are of your father, the devil, and deeds of your
father you would do again. They have already threatened the Apostles,
they said, you read it, we read it. Did now
we straightly command you. They threatened them, they beat them.
(29:04):
Don't teach, don't preach anymore in his name, and you
intend to bring this man blood up on, don't do
it anymore. So they already had threatened them. They put
them in jail and said, listen, we don't want to
hear nothing else about this Jesus. So now they've got
to a man resort to silencing them by shedding their blood.
(29:28):
They are incensed at these ignorant and unlearned common men,
these fishermen, I mean, these Galilean Galileans, having the gall
a man to point the finger of responsibility and culpability
towards them in accusing and rejecting Jesus a man, and
having Jesus murdered by the Roman government. They are incensed
(29:52):
at this. So Peter and the Apostles, they had just
continued to remind them of their wicked betray of Jesus
and their need for repentance and conversion. Repent, repent, repent,
and be converted. But they said no, no, no, no,
no no no. Peter said, listen, both we and apostles,
they said, both we and the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost,
(30:15):
we are witnesses of and we have been commanded by God.
We are compelled by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and we are committed to preaching this Jesus whom you crucified.
We have seen the risen Christ. We know that he
is alive. We know that he is the Savior. We
know that he is the Redeemer. We know that he
(30:37):
is the Prince of life. We know that he is
the Word incarnate. He is the first, the last, the
alphab the omega, the beginning to the end. And we're
going to preach him. And we know that there is
salvation and none other. Yeah, the Bible tells us. Then
stood up there one in the Council of Pharisee named
(30:57):
Gamelee or Doctor of the Law, had in reputation among
the people, commanded to put the postls forth a little space. Listen,
God can and will use anyone at any time to
see to it that his word does not return to
him void. He uses this man and this advice that
(31:17):
doctor Gamalia is about to give to the government leaders.
We're going to read it just a moment. This advice
should be well heeded and received by these ignorant and
rebel government leaders that we have in our world today,
(31:38):
all over the world. So listen to the advice that
Gamealio gives to the council the government. So he says
to them verse thirty five, you men of Israel, take
aid to yourselves what you intend to do as touching
these men. For before these days rose up through this
(31:58):
boasting himself to be somebody to whom a number of men,
about four hundred joined themselves, who were slain, and all
as many as obeyed him were scattered and brought to knaw. Again,
this is what the rulers hope to happen. Cut off
the head of the snake, and then the whole thing
will just die out. After this man rose up Judas
of Galilee in the days of the Taxi, and drew
(32:20):
away much people after him, he also perished, and all
even as many as obeyed him were dispersed. Now I
say unto you, refrain from these men, let them along.
For if this council or this work be of men,
listen to this, listen to this. This is very This
(32:41):
man is spot on. If this council, if this work,
in other words, if this movement, if it is of men,
if it is earthly it is fleshly, if it is carnal,
if it has been contrived and brought up and raised
(33:02):
up by man, look what he says. It will come
to naught. It's gonna fail, it's gonna flounder, it's gonna falter.
But look at verse thirty nine. If it be of God,
ooh I love it. I love it. Look what he says.
You cannot overthrow it. Less happily you be found even
(33:24):
to fight against God verse forty to him there and
when they had called the apostles, look they still not
finished with, you know, intimidation tactics. The Bible says, they
call the apostles, they beat them, They beat them again,
(33:47):
and then they commanded them. See they're still using that
threat in intimidation. They commanded them that they should not
speak in the name of Jesus. And they let them go. Now,
ladies and gentlemen, again, any government or any government leader
that insists upon engaging in warfare against the Church, against
(34:07):
what Jesus has already promised that he's going to do,
He's going to build. They are waging a war that
they cannot win. The fight against God is untenable, and
it is unwinnable. Yet fickle, foolish, falling, fallible, frail men
(34:28):
who are, by the way, breathing by the permissiveness of God.
You're breathing the breath of God. And you have a
position of power that has been given to you by God.
God is the one who has raised you up. God
is the one who has granted you to have whatever
position of power in government and leadership and influence that
you have in this world. And yet you will persist
(34:52):
in aligning yourself with the defeated kingdom of the darkness
of this world, of the devil, of the demonic, and
you will insist in failing away amen to your own
destruction and damnation. What a sad, what a sad, what
(35:15):
a sad delusion that is in our world today. But
after being released by the government rulers, the Bible tells us,
I'm finishing here. They departed from the presence of the
Council rejoicing that they were counting worthy to suffer shame
for the name of Jesus Christ. And daily in the
temple and in every house, they did not stop. They
(35:36):
did not quit. We must not stop. We must not
cease from teaching and preaching Jesus Christ. Fight against the Church,
