(01:04):
Voice in the Wilderness. For those of you who are
a man, perhaps new to our a Man YouTube channel,
we invite you as well to bowel means subscribe and
share it with someone else. And we are a man
as always here to faithfully share the word of the
(01:26):
Lord and hopefully speak words of encouragement that will help
us all along the journey on our way to glory
that is our ultimate A first and foremost to be
more like Jesus here in this present world, and of
course a man to a man see his face in peace.
(01:48):
We want to hear him say well done, good and
faithful servant. All right, For those of you who've been
following along with us, we're in a series on the God, government,
church and state. We're rapidly coming to a close on
this series, and by the way, I just want to
say this, hopefully, going forward, a man, many of the
podcasts that we're going to be doing in the future
(02:08):
will perhaps be a little bit less lengthy in content
and also perhaps even in terms of lengthy series, which,
of course I believe this perhaps has been the lengthiest
of all of the series that we've done over the
years on this subject of God, government, church and state.
(02:30):
But certainly it is important for us to understand a
man that God is the sovereign and supreme ruler in
our world. So much a man grabs our attention, especially
as it pertains to governments of this world. A man
those who rule, those who are in power, those who
make laws, those who a man again issued decrees, and
(02:53):
so forth and so on. But as people of God,
we need not live in fear, doubt, unbelief. We must
understand and trust in the sovereign rule of God. And
that is utmost important for us, if we're going to
a man live at peace in this world, and that's
ultimately what the Lord wants for us. While we are
(03:16):
here peace, There's gonna be peace in heaven. There's gonna
be joy in heaven. There's going to be bliss, eternal bliss, Amen, Pleasure, Amen, forevermore. Amen.
But while we are here fighting against an enemy, an adversary,
the devil who loves to work in the high places,
a man immense amidst those who are a man already
(03:39):
in many cases obstinate against God. But we certainly again
want to a man encourage God's people to know of
a certainty that a man God is in control, and
there's nothing that is out of his realm of knowledge
and power, and at least from our perspective, ability to
(04:02):
change and literally change overnight, Amen, or even a man
in an instant. Things can change. And we see this
all the time. If you've lived long enough, you've seen it. Amen.
Things can change, Amen, And certainly they do as God
works out his a man eternal plan of redemption in
(04:22):
which He will amen, save and keep and preserve those
who amen put their trust in Him. All right, let's
take quick moment two. A man invoke the presence of
the Lord and ask his favor. God Again, we are
grateful to you, a man. We love you, We praise you.
Thank you for your great sacrifice, the blood of Jesus
(04:44):
that was shed for the remission of our sins. Thank
you for the word of the Living God that gives
us life, that gives us illumination, that lights our pathway,
that orders our steps. Thank you for instruction. Amen, Thank
you for understanding, wisdom and direction. While again we are
here in this earth, Keep us and we shall be kept.
(05:04):
Bless us and we shall be blessed. Amen. Open the
eyes of those who are blinded, Lord, unstop their ears.
May they hear, then, come to see and know that
you are the truly live in God, the only wise Savior,
God and Redeemer. It's in the name of Jesus we
praying give thanks, Amen and Amen. All Right, today we're
going to kind of focus a little bit on government
(05:26):
power struggle struggle. There is a government power struggle and
we're going to look at that just briefly today. And
we've already perhaps at nauseum spoken in these many previous
(05:47):
podcasts on this subject. About the governments of this world,
about them fighting against the sovereign rule of God throughout history.
And for the most part, when you see this, you
examine the historical perspective of these government rulers. For for
(06:08):
for the most part they have been on a tyrannical
rule by a pride field monarch or king or again
a pharaoh is a king, for example. And in many
of these cases, these mere mortal men were being worshiped,
(06:33):
and in many instance it's also they were exalted as
gods themselves. And uh. And whenever you have a mere
mortal man who has been lifted up and treated with
such daunting admiration and adoration, he's bound to become filled
(06:57):
with arrogance, with pride, and you know, looking forward to
and lusting after and longing for the praises of men.
And he will, if not already has have it, he
will develop a contempt for any other power, any other
(07:25):
authority that would perhaps be a threat to him. He
doesn't want any rival authority. This is why men will
rebel against the authority of God. And herein lies the
government struggle, the government struggle in a world of again
men who are mere mortals, because they feigned themselves to
(07:51):
be more than what they truly are. And we know,
I mean from the scriptural perspective. And they know this too,
I mean they know. Listen, all men know that they're
going to die. Now, some live in grand delusion. And
and and we all no one, let me just we understand,
(08:14):
at least instinctively that death is not something that is desirable.
And again, those of us who know the word of
the Lord, this is not what God, a man made
us to be. He didn't make us to die. He
made us as eternal creatures. And because of sin that
is into the world. Amen, we face death, the sentence
(08:35):
of death, and we fight, we fight against death. And again,
when there are those who are drunken in power, they
and they don't, by the way, acknowledge God. And again
I'm not painting with a broad brush, because there have
been many rulers throughout the ages that God has exalted
and used rather to rule with righteousness and and with
(09:01):
a respect for the sovereignty and law of God as
it were. So, But for the most part you have
those in power who again are drunken on their a
man exalted status, and they will not recognize and honor
(09:21):
the king of kings and Lord of lords a man.
And and uh, the government power struggle that exists in
our world today against the rule of God, against the
power of God, against the sovereignty of God, is it
is self perpetuate, perpetuated rather by the pride that is
(09:43):
in man again, because he's under a spell of delusion,
he's under a sense of grandeur. That that that that
that the devil himself, by the way, who is the
prince power of the air, the one that again loves
to a man traffic in these high places. Because if
(10:08):
the devil, and he knows this, if he can work
within powerful rulers, and the more power they have, all
the better, because with them and through them, he can
affect I mean untold thousands and millions of people in
(10:30):
a certainly devious and deadly way. Because that's what Jesus
told us about the devil. And he comes to steal, killed,
and to destroy. And those who willingly submit themselves to him,
they are his children. Amen, they are his children. And
(10:51):
that's what Jesus said. By the way of those a
man Jews who would not believe on him, who rebelled
against him, he said, you are of your father, the devil,
and the deeds of your father, you will do so.
The devil loves to work a man in those who
are in power, because again, they can have such a
(11:13):
drastic effect negatively upon the culture, upon a civilization as
a whole. And but let's keep this in mind, though,
by the way, when these rulers, when these government leaders,
when these kings, monarchs, whoever they may be, a man,
(11:36):
though they deny and rebel and refuse to acknowledge God
as being sovereign, it does not in any way alter
the fact that God is who he is. Amen. Again,
it is their own delusion. But what it does do
(11:58):
it exacerbates the government struggle. Because again, when you refuse
to submit, when you refuse to honor, when you refuse
to give thanks to the God who made the heavens
and the earth, the God who holds your very breath,
your very being, your very existence in his hands, when
(12:19):
you refuse to do that, you are exacerbating the struggle
a man. The chasm, as it was, is already great.
There's a great chasm, a great divide. That's what sin
has done. And that's why Jesus came amen to bridge
that divide. The Bible tells us he's the one and
only mediator between God and man. But if you refuse
(12:41):
to acknowledge him a man as lord, a man, again,
it simply exacerbates a man. The government struggled, at least
from that perspective, and it need not be if they
would simply a man, acknowledge a man Jesus as lord
(13:03):
and honor him as their king. Pilot rightly correctly put
that placard. Amen, as they were over, Amen, the head
of Jesus. This is Jesus king, he said, king. But
not only is he king of the Jews. Oh no, no, no, no, no,
(13:23):
he's king of all kings and Lord of lords. But again,
not only historically, but to this very day and on
into the future. By the way, we know this from
the Bible, from the Book of Revelation, from the future
prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled. We have government rulers,
(13:46):
and we'll have government rulers of this world who will
continue to coalesce with a determination to mount up opposition
against the sovereign ruler of this universe. Amen. Because again
they live in a grand delusion that they can somehow
(14:07):
become autonomous rulers. Outside of God's kingship, lordship, kingdom, sovereignty. Amen.
And the Lord in his omniscience is very aware, by
the way, He's very aware of this same spirit of
(14:30):
pride in man that was in Lucifer, that was in
the devil himself, a man who, by the way of course,
was cast down from his position of prominence. Why because
he wanted to exalt himself. He felt like he should
be more than what he is. The Bible, by the way,
warns all men to not think of ourselves more highly
(14:52):
than we ought to think a man. Again, it all
begins with simply acknowledging God. It begins with thanksgiving, it
begins with gratitude. It begins with a man knowing that
he is Lord, and it is He that has made us,
and not we ourselves. There are no self made people
(15:13):
anyone and everyone in positions of power and authority have
been exalted there by God. Period. Amen. I know they
are those who think that, hey, it's my resume, it's
my accomplishments, it's my achievement, it's my popularity. No no, no,
no no no no no no no no no no, Amen.
(15:35):
It is God who has allowed you, permitted you to
be there. And by the way, let me just repeat
this very quickly. I've spoken on this. Amen that probably
again ad nauseum throughout this whether they obey God or not,
God's will will be done. Amen. They cannot no mere
(15:56):
mortal man can thwart, can dis annoy, a man can
alter in any way what God has already predetermined, predestined,
and purposed to be. Amen. And again they will do
well to a man, honor the Lord and come off
of this grand delusion, Amen, and not be broken, but
(16:20):
instead willingly bow their needs and confess that He is Lord. Amen.
All right, So we want to examine very quickly the
prophetic words of scripture that is going to be found
in some number two. We've already visited this in the past,
of course, but these prophetic words are being fulfilled right
(16:42):
up until the final judgment. A man upon all of
mankind who again persist in their a man ongoing campaign
of resisting the right of God to rule in and
over Amen, their lives. And this keep in mind, this
(17:04):
is His universe, Amen, This is His created order. Amen.
And he has the right, the sovereign right, as the
sovereign ruler, as the owner, as the creator, as the maker,
as the sustainer a man, He has the right to
do as he pleases and to impose his commands a
(17:27):
man upon his created order. Amen. It is all Remember
the scriptures teaches us this, All of this is for
his glory, his honor, his majesty, his dominion, And he
did it according to his good pleasure. Amen. And again
(17:48):
God will be glorified. Whether we obey him or not,
He will be glorified. He will get the glory out
of every single life, in obedience or disobedience. God still
will be glorified and magnified. And we're going to find
in Psalm number two that there have been no truer
(18:08):
words spoken. Amen. When we examine, Amen again, the state
of our world today, the history of government in our world. Amen.
The Bible tells us. And by the way, this also
specifically points to Amen, the rebellion against and the uprising
(18:31):
and the murder, if you will, of Jesus while he
was here, Amen, on this earth. Psalm number two. Why
do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? Amen?
The question is why do they rage against God? Causing
(18:54):
their foolish heart to become darkened? Romans Chapter one. By
the way, in their rage against God, their foolish hearts
are darkened. Amen. And again it's all because of these
vain imaginations that rise up in their mind. Instead of
(19:14):
casting them down, instead of saying no, no, no, instead
of acknowledging, and instead of knowing a man, the God
that a man has, a man appeared to them, appealed
to them a man. The Bible says, when they knew God,
they glorified him, not ask God. Again, it's not as
though these people don't know. Everybody knows that God exists. Amen.
(19:39):
He has clearly shown and again put on display. Amen.
Again Roman chapter one. You can read it there, Amen,
And his knowledge his existence, we know it. Amen. It
is outright rebellion. I heard one preacher say many years ago,
it's cosmic treason against God. The Bible tells us, look
(20:03):
at verse to the kings of the earth. These the rulers,
the Bible teaches the kings of the earth. They set
themselves and the rulers take counsel together. So there you
have it. There's this coalition, there's this agreement of these
amen that are in power to a man come together
(20:26):
to plan, to plot, to scheme. Amen, against the Lord,
look what the Bible says, And against his anointed? What anointed?
Who's anointed? Who is this anointed that he's talking about?
The sums here Christ, Amen, the Christ. And this is
exactly what they did. Amen. We already talked about this. Amen.
(20:47):
All of the government of the Jews got together, even
those who have been enemies and at odds with each other,
Pharisees and Sadducees in particular, they got together when it
came to getting rid of Jesus. And this is what
the Psalmists a man foresaw and it is still yet
a man enforced today in the world with governments and rulers,
(21:11):
not all of them. Again, who a man are refusing
to acknowledge God as God? And so Verse three tells
us what they say. Listen, listen. They because they don't
want to acknowledge God. They say, let us break their
bands asunder and cast away their cords from us. Amen.
(21:37):
This is what they have agreed to do. This is
what they come together to do. They don't want the
rule of God, they don't want the law of God.
They don't want the a man the sovereignty of God.
They don't want the power of God. They don't want
the authority of God over them. So this is what
they agreed to do. Amen. In their frivolity and their futility,
(21:59):
they come together. Amen to again in grand delusion, overthrow
God like Satan, like Lucifer, their father who said I
will ascend to the sides of the north, he said
I will be like the most high God. Amen. He
used that same trickery in the garden of Eden and
(22:20):
is still at work today. Verse forest tells us he
that sitteth in the heavens this is God, shall laugh.
The Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he
speak unto them in his wrath and vex them in
his sore displeasure. Listen what the Lord said, saying Amen
to these rebels. Verse six. Yet have I set my
(22:45):
king upon my holy heel of Zion. Who is this king,
King Jesus Born, the King Amen, the King eternal, the
King in mortar, the King invisible, the all wise, the Almighty,
the first to last, the aff of the Omega, the
beginning and the end. Amen. He is God, he is Lord,
(23:06):
he is King, he is set and its throng cannot
and will not be overthrown. Yet I have set my
king aby, my holy heel of Zion. I will declare
the decree the Lord has said unto me. Thou art
my son. This day I have begotten thee ask of me,
and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance,
(23:27):
and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Thou shalt break them with the rod of iron. Thou
shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Listen
God's judgment upon those who persist in their outright obstinate
rebellion against his. Listen patient forbearance, loving kindness, graciousness, tender mercies. Amen.
(23:52):
God's judgment is coming upon these, Amen, obstinate rebels. But
now is the acceptable time. Now is the day a
man of redemption of sins being forgiven. Amen. God is faithful,
he is just, he is amen loving, and he will
(24:13):
forgive all who come to him, all who are of
a broken heart and a contrite spirit. God will forgive. Amen.
So listen with the Simon says Sage Advice verse ten.
Be wise. Now, therefore, o ye kings, be instruct that
ye judges of the earth serve the Lord with fear.
(24:35):
Rejoice with trembling kiss the son less. He be angry,
and you perish from the way when his wrath is
kindled but a little but blessed. On the other hand,
are all they that put their trust in him a man.
May the kings of the earth, May the rulers of
the earth. May the government officials who are yet walking
(24:58):
in pride be abased. May they come to know that
Jesus Christ is Lord and King. Blessings to you, Amen
and Amen.
