(00:24):
Reeves and Seth Rogan called Good Fortune, and Gary and
Shannon have some interesting insights and how they feel about
Julia Roberts and her new film, which is sort of
a thriller take on the me Too movement. A lot
of things to talk about this week at the box office.

You're literally ten feet away from me down the hall,
and I feel so weird that I'm not sitting next
to you to do this.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
It feels like you're It feels like you're sitting next
to me.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Can I tell you, guys, when I was coming into
work today, this will hopefully put a smile on your face.
I met this guy in the elevator and he.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Was hello, Hello.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
He was going up to where the upstairs you know,
people live on the fifth floor, and we were chatting
and he goes, oh, where do you work? And I
was like, oh, I work for KFI and he goes
more stimulating talk.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I love KFI. He goes, I have so much respect
for what you guys do.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Thank you, And I almost and gave him the biggest hug,
A homeless no. He works with Ryan Seacrests on the
top forty and I was like, Wow, you're a big deal.
Will you tell your friends that we're down here.

Speaker 6 (02:10):
That we exist, we're here.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
But I was like, that's so nice.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
He literally was like, thank you for all that you
do and I listen all the time, and I was like,
oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Do you know my autograph that he did?

Speaker 2 (02:21):

Speaker 6 (02:21):
Nice?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, it's that nice.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Somebody go ask her for her autograph, cave when you
ask Heather for her autograph real quick.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I'll sign anything. I have no shame anything, I have
no shame.

Speaker 6 (02:35):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
You guys want to talk about movie. Yeah, let's talk
about movie.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Okay, all right, So good Fortune is out this weekend.
It is and Z's a Z's Anzari's movie. He wrote it,
directed it, and stars in it. Keanu Reeves plays an angel,
a new angel, young angel I don't know, named Gabriel,
and he is trying to get a wings you know

(03:00):
that old story, and he does like a it's a
body swap. It's a body swap movie. Within Zi's and
Zari and Gary's favorite. Seth Rogan, Okay, Seth.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Broke, I can't believe in your life for a little while.
I came from nothing.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I'm self made do My father was an orthopedic surgeon.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Gary's favorite.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
I don't listen.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
I feel like.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
This is a little bit of the Diane Keaton effect here.
I don't like some of the stuff that Seth Rogan
has done, but I don't dislike him, Like I think
Seth Rogan would be one of those guys that I
would like to hang out with and let him smoke
a bole and tell dumb jokes.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Okay, I think he would probably.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Do that, but that sounds like a Tuesday. Yeah, But
I just feel like there's a there's very little difference
in any of the characters that he plays.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Oh, absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
And he's very much that guy in this film as well,
rich guy who has to swap with the Zizanzari who
is is not rich, and the lesson being like, oh,
money will cure all my problems. You know, if I
was only rich, I wouldn't have any problems, And so
they think they're going to teach him a lesson by
having him swap with a rich guy to see that

(04:15):
he actually has problems. That it turns out money really
did cure his problems, and he doesn't want to switch back,
so he doesn't want to be post.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
So it's like it's a wonderful life, but George realizes
that he probably should have died.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Yep, yeah, that's happy.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, horror movie fans will love The Black Phone too.
I don't know. I this is about evil stuff.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
This about evil stuff.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
It's just not I know that there was a black
phone one, Yeah you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Black I remember Ethan Hawk plays the bad guy or
whatever as that what is called. I never saw it,
so I just know that he got a lot of
kudo for playing that role. How hard is it to
play the bad.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Guy, especially if you're wearing a mask the whole time? Yeah,
I don't know. I think, you know, people really just
like seeing him in this different kind of role.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
It's it's evil.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
He is a supernatural villain, kidnapped, you know, young children
in the late seventies, and now it's back for more.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
If you like horror movies, you'll probably like this one.
It's getting decent reviews.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
What are people saying about the whole it welcome to
Dairy situation.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
I've heard that that's just terrifying, and.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
It's it's like, I don't know, I've read something yesterday
about it kind of what is that it has kind
of just scratched the surface about Dairy and the Stephen
King horror series.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Yeah, you know, I think that I've only heard a
little bit about that because horror, and I've told you
that this before horror is not my jam at all.
But I think that horror fans will probably love it.
They love pretty much everything Stephen King does, and it's
probably be pretty spooky.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
The article I read an Esquire and here was the headline.
It Welcome to Darry blows open the legend of penny Wise.

Speaker 6 (06:07):
It'll shock you. And I'm like, I don't need to
be shocked more by penny Wise. He's shocked me.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Shocks on top of shocks. Yeah, the shocker. Oh my gosh.
Can we say that on the radio.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Okay, So After the Hunt is another movie. Listen you, guys,
I want to hear what you think about this. I
know we're running out of time here, but this is
Julia roberts new movie. It has got a stacked cast.
Chloe seven Yer, Andrew Garfield, a Eda Berry is in it.
And it is a modern take or a new take
on sort of the me Too movement, set at Yale University.

(06:39):
And it is getting terrible reviews. It looked terrible, the
trailer looked awful.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
I understand that Julia Roberts wanted to play somebody unlikable
because she's never done that before.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
That's not what we go to you for.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Yeah, Unfortunately, I understand that the people get type casts
for a reason. Everyone wants to feel good and see
Julia Roberts smile and laugh. Unfortunately, she can play smart
and smile and laugh. We saw that in a number
of her films. This where she plays evil and hard.
It's not what you go to her for.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Yeah. If they're setting it up too like, it's a thriller, right,
like a thriller on the me too movements.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
I was exhausted watching the trailer. I wanted to go
out and harass someone.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Me too, Wait, me too?

Speaker 2 (07:28):
See Yeah, and then you guys, one more story.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Oh my gosh, we're gonna get in so much troun now.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
AMC Theaters is paying tribute to actress Diane Keaton this weekend.
They're going to be releasing Annie Hall and Something's got
to Give in theaters. If you want to go and
remember an incredible actress and her work, this is a
good time to do it.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
I've watched both those movies multiple times. They're very feel good,
they're good, they hold up. Yeah, all right, thank you, Heather.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
I love you, guys, Love you. Thanks so much for listening.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
