Speaker 2 (00:16):
Hi, welcome to Finished the Race. Thank you so much
for joining me. My name is Eric Thompson out here
in Oklahoma. This is gonna be a little bit different.
We're going to do a podcast on some natural ways
to build up your immunity here in the Winner of
twenty twenty five. The reason why we're doing this as
for people of faith like myself. We want to maintain
our body to honor God. Kind of hard to help

(00:40):
people when you're sick. Please do me a favor. Show
this with your friends and family, do the follow on
the different podcast sites wherever you download your podcasts from,
and if you feel led to give us a five
star rating, which you'll help us move up in the
ratings in the search Finish the RaSE. We're here to
equip you, to challenge you and to help you run
the best life possible. I'll bear it back, all right. So,

(01:09):
if you have a pin or if you want to
use your phone, tablet, or if you just have a
really good memory. We're gonna go through several things here,
but I'll try to give you some practical ways that
I'm doing some of these items. Check out our website
Finish the Race dot com. Finish the Race dot com.

(01:30):
And if you like a lot of news too, extra news,
you can always set over to the other website. Give
me five dot news. Gimme five dot news. There's kind
of proven ways that you can boost your natural immunity.
And most of the list I saw I looked at.

(01:51):
They start here. We need to maintain a nutrient rich diet.
What does that mean eating broccoli every day? You know?
Here are some things and we'll see these items in
a product that we have called z Stack at the
end of the podcast. But here's if you're just doing
it day to day. Because the whole goal here is

(02:14):
to is to make this a lifestyle in twenty twenty five,
not trying to do a quick fix because people are sick.
Eating a well balanced diet is crucial for a strong
immune system. So some things to focus on is and
we've heard this for years, but it's it's still true.

(02:37):
Vitamin C, zinc and Probiotics are crucial to maintain a
nutrient rich diets. And what does that look like. Vitamin
C is found in citrus, fruits, bell peppers, and strawberries.
Try to fit those into your diet. Make sure you

(02:58):
get zinc, which was crucial when COVID nineteen started in
President Trump even and others got on zinc and other protocols.
You can get zinc from nuts, seeds and lean meats,
So vitamin C zinc. And this one's hard for me
because I don't like yogurt, but probiotics are huge for

(03:25):
helping a strong gut health, which is key for immunity.
So try to get some yogurt, keyfer or other fermented
foods into your diet. The next one, this one is
good and it's obvious, and it's something that when it's

(03:46):
a little warm ro out. My wife and I like
to go on walks thirty minutes to an hour, and
when we do that, I notice my stress level goes down.
And moderate consistent physical activity moderate We're not talking psycho workouts.
Moderate consistent physical activity improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and strengthens

(04:11):
your immune system. Here is a recommendation that I think
is the best because it's practical. Thirty minutes of moderate
exercise and that is some brisk walking or cycling, and

(04:32):
five times a week. And when I first saw it
go five times a week, well there's seven days. I
mean five days you have to go on a walk
for about a half hour and it's good for stress.
It's good. Like my wife and I we talk a lot.
So in addition to maintaining a nutrient rich diet of
vitamin C and zinc and probiotics for gut health, try

(04:52):
to get thirty minutes of walking and try to turn
up the pace a little bit, get the herd rate
up a little bit. Prioritizing quality sleep, yes, it's prioritizing.
Not you need to get more sleep. We have to
prioritize it. And their goal, according to the research, is

(05:18):
if we want our body to help our body repair
and regenerate itself, then we need to get enough sleep
because lack of sleep can suppress the immune response. That's
why if you get really tired of worn down, it
seems like it's a lot easier to get sick, and
it is. So the goal is seven to nine hours

(05:39):
in there per night, and if we can do it,
if you can do it on a regular schedule, consistent schedule.
So if it's ten to six or nine to five, whatever, whatever,

(05:59):
we're best for your schedule, but seven to nine hours
consistent schedule. And this one I think is a real
big problem for people causing a lot of anxiety is
screen time. They're saying to avoid being on an electronic screen.

(06:20):
Now TikTok's down right now when now I'm recording this,
So that's going to probably keep a lot of people off.
But they're saying to avoid being online on a screen
at least an hour before bed so your mind can
slow down and you can get some sleep. So we
need to prioritize quality sleep. Managing stress, it's diff your

(06:43):
body weakens. If you have a lot of stress, you're caring.
So here are some ways that they're recommending. As Christians,
we need to be more time in prayer where we're
just laying it down, down our burdens, our stresses, talking
to God and letting our body come down because when

(07:07):
we realize we're not carrying the load ourselves. Journaling if
you like to journal, if you're like to write, if
you like to just get the thoughts out of your
mind in some way. Journaling has been shown to be
a great way to process and release stress and going

(07:33):
along with the walking, if you do deep breath breathing
exercises or you're just kind of really letting it out,
it actually reduces cortisol levels. So again, maintain a nutrient
rich diet, get regular exercise, prioritize sleep, which means get

(07:56):
off the phones, in the social media and all that
at least an hour before bed, be in prayer, deep breathing.
Journaling seems to be the most effective way of getting
the stressed down and then staying hydrated. This is a

(08:16):
big one for people, especially when it's cold. If you're
not drinking enough fluids, which supports the all bodily functions,
then it can weaken your body's defenses. So the goal
plenty of water, eight to ten glasses daily. I carry
around a big glass. I put some of magnesium powder

(08:36):
in it that's flavored, so I can continue to drink.
But if you get enough fluids, the body can flush
the toxins out. And then this may be hard for
some of you. You have to avoid smoking. To me,
I don't get smoking, but I'm not going to judge
you for smoking. I'm just saying you have to avoid

(08:59):
smoking excess of alcohol. And this is a hard one
for me. My wife had to encourage me over the years.
We've got to cut down on some of the processed
foods because they have a lot of things in them
that actually will fight against our natural immunity. These five points,

(09:23):
they help to build your immunity, and then if you
do it to a little bit, if you start to
do it more frequently, regularly, then it becomes a lifestyle.
Because this idea, these points will not work as a
quick fix. You can't eat a bunch of processed foods,
not sleep, drink a lot of alcohol, not let your

(09:45):
burdens down, and then all of a sudden everyone's getting
sick and you're just going to try to go do
this and one day it's not going to work. Consistency,
impatience though, be patient, give yourself a little bit of grace.
A few other things that this other source talks about.

(10:06):
Believe it or not, one of the easiest ways to
support your immune system is to wash your hands more
frequently and regularly. YEP, Various viruses and bacteria can survive
on surfaces and spread to the body and if you're
touching your mouth, eyes, or after touching an effected surface,

(10:32):
you can actually put the virus bacteria into your system.
And if you have low immunity, not good, especially before meals, cooking,
or going to public spaces. So something to keep in
mind if you're really trying to keep your munity up,
you know people are getting sick. Just try to do

(10:53):
to try to wash the hands on a regular basis.
Find reasons to laugh. They're saying that if you chuckle,
if you're laughing, it's a stress relief. It decreases stress
hormones and boost immune cells and the activity of antibodies.

(11:15):
That's why there saying we've had for years laughter is
the best medicine. So try to find something to laugh about,
which probably means turn off the political stuff just for
a little bit. For me. This is an I've always
done this, But in assessing the first wave of the
COVID nineteen pandemic, researchers noted that animal companions really helped

(11:42):
people manage stress and anxiety and proof sleep and decrease.
There is the release of cortisol in pet owners. That's
why we have two little dogs and a cat, and
they do make me smile and they are my little friends.
In turn, pet ownership can boost immune function. If you
don't want animals, don't go get them simply trying to

(12:04):
boost your immunity only. But if you have them, they
really seem to help me and other people. And a
few other items here in the immune boosting foods that
this other site has, eggs, beans, garlic, ginger, shellfish, and

(12:28):
the course back to the apples, blueberries, bananas and other fruits.
So there you go. We have to keep the stress down,
Drink plenty of fluids, get consistent walking, exercise, eat limiting
the things that cost stress, get plenty of sleep. Those

(12:50):
are some of the proven ways that I've come up
with from doing research on boosting your system naturally. Now,
if you're someone that says great, but I would also
like to have a proven program that already has a
zinc and a lot of those in it, just in case,

(13:12):
or just maybe you're a little more prone you have
been to getting the flu and other things, or if
you have family members that you know aren't really gonna
do most of these, do me a favorite, go to

done this. And I haven't gotten one person that gave
me the old bad sign. So thousands and thousands of

(13:35):

products come from doctor Vladimir Zelenko. He's the one you

people were were afraid of being hospitalized. He came up

(13:55):
with the Zelenko protocol. You know, Ivermectin, hydrocorquin dot com,
cyclean and all these he came up with the protocol,
put them all together, help thousands of people avoid hospitalization.
He also has products like zflu. That's why I say
you can fight z You can fight the flu with
z flu over at getz stack dot com. He has
