Speaker 5 (00:36):

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Put get into that.

Speaker 6 (00:39):
We'll get out of straight.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
Days with you guys this week.

Speaker 7 (00:41):
It's been fantastic.

Speaker 8 (00:42):
Look and I apologize as I introduced tom Asway, I
had some things that I talk about in a brief second.
But I'm here now, I'm here today and I was
at the party as well last night.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Tom Asway, how you doing, bro.

Speaker 7 (00:52):
I'm good man. I was was a fun night last night,
one of the best atmospheres I've ever been involved in,
and that crowd deserved to win and will chat about it. Lions,
of course they picked about what eleven eleven thirty last night.
So here we are. Round two is coming up tonight
ESPN NFL Network. Lions have two picks. Let's have some fun.

Speaker 8 (01:13):
Say hello to Ricky spyback as well, Ricky, how you're
doing Pete as well?

Speaker 3 (01:18):
But you know how it is now? Now it's it's
a thing. Now, the thing, it's a thing.

Speaker 9 (01:23):
I've lost my name.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Well you got your name? You got Ricky?

Speaker 10 (01:27):
Yeah, Ricky, I'm good, real quick. I gotta make a
real quick announcement. I know I talked about it on
the show before did I started off in the radio
all around. I'm making my return to radio on Monday.
I'm taking over three to seven chips on one on
five one bouts. But I'm still gonna be able to
do this show. I'm not going anywhere a little radio mad,
little jay towards magic, got like to call it?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Now, did you get permission from me? Your mass?

Speaker 5 (01:50):
What?

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Did you get permission to do that from your man? No?

Speaker 9 (01:53):
I didn't realize how to do that.

Speaker 7 (01:54):
No, we don't like you.

Speaker 8 (01:56):
Need no permission over here. Congratulation on that respect, the
ind of that as well.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
You're getting good over there, my guys.

Speaker 11 (02:03):
I feel freaking great today. Braylan, you're here, Andson's here,
Maz is here, the Draft, NBA Playoffs.

Speaker 9 (02:09):
We got Ricky at job. Ricky got a job.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Fun.

Speaker 8 (02:13):
The gang is indeed all here, and it will be
all here because we will be joined by around the
Money at two point thirty.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
From Florida on the beach by the way.

Speaker 8 (02:20):
Before we get into the show, let me get something
out the way and then we can move forward. Last year,
I was involved in the situation at the What's up, Kathy?

Speaker 3 (02:29):
How you doing over there? How you doing?

Speaker 8 (02:31):
Gott say hello to Kathy Man. She's one of my
favorite people in this building, no doubt. Last year the YMC,
I was involved in the situation where I broke up
a fight. Everybody heard about it when national especially if
you live here, you know about it. The YMC was
a young man that attacked an older gentleman. The reason
why I bring this story to you is make sure
when you do things that just ouded the goodness sell

(02:52):
your heart. Make sure when you do things it is
because it's the right thing to do. It's because your
faith is telling you to do that, or you feel
like it's the right thing to do. Don't do it
because you want somebody to pat you on the back.
Don't do it because you want people.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
To talk about you.

Speaker 8 (03:05):
Why do I say that time as a way, I
told you in the text that that man mister killed
is very much alive.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
So I did indeed save his life. But it's not
about me. Don't you know? When I was in that
court hallway yesterday for three.

Speaker 8 (03:18):
And a half hours, three and a half hours I
was in the court hall room waiting to go in
and testify. I didn't get talked to by excuse mister kill,
who was in the individual that was assaulted in the
locker room, who's still alive?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Good?

Speaker 8 (03:32):
I didn't know one from his family talked to me.
No one from his family came up and said thank you.
No one from his family and said, I appreciate that
my father is still here. No one said thank you
that my grandfather is still here, or that my father
in law is still here.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
No one said thank you.

Speaker 8 (03:46):
Today in the courtroom after I gave my statement, none
of his family came up to me, passed me in
the hallway again.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
On the way into the courtroom this morning eight thirty.

Speaker 8 (03:55):
On the other side, the defense, mister Smith, if I
had I intervened, mister Smith was likely to kill the individual,
or likely to have done something more to that individual.
He wouldn't be facing seven to ten years or four
to three, whatever it is. He will be facing twenty
five of life. No one from his family came up

(04:17):
to me and said, thank you for intervening. Thank you
for intervening, because if you don't, maybe this goes another way.
Maybe our son he's already gone. Maybe but that didn't happen.
But you know why I tell this story. It's not
because neither one of them fag me. It's because my
spirit was right when they didn't, because of my faith
in God, because of the journey that I'm on, Ricky

(04:38):
we talk about all the time, and one I'm trying
to bring to.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
You, guys. My faith hadn't. I was good.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
I wasn't sulking or pouting because in the same situation
last year in October November, I did feel that way,
like no one reached out to me. This could have
gone a different way, but my spirit wasn't right then.
Now you know what, you don't want to say thank you.
It's not on me, that's for you. My thing was
helping because I was supposed to, and I feel good

(05:04):
and I'm here with you guys. I'm so glad that
that case is over with. I'm so glad that that
situation is over. But let this just be a little reminded.
You do things because they're right, do things because they
feel good, do things because you know you should. Don't
do things because sorry, I got the president hand going on.
Don't do things because you want somebody to tell you
good job, or you want somebody pat you on the back.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Still cut it's right, do it, cuse it's right. So
I feel good, glad, say thank you.

Speaker 9 (05:29):
We're grateful that.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Bob, who's at Norm McDonald rest in peace.

Speaker 7 (05:36):
You changed a lot of people's lives without even knowing it.

Speaker 8 (05:38):
I didn't even know he was still alive, mas So
the only reason I think I made piece in the beginning,
Oh well he passed and they don't want to reach out.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
And he's still here, mass he's still here, but he's
still here.

Speaker 7 (05:49):
Great.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
I appreciate that God is good. Last night, the Detroit Lions.

Speaker 8 (05:52):
They did a good thing in drafting Tarik Williams number
twenty eight overall, Buck Eye is to pick another house state.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Buck can I ask you about something in February. One position?
Did I tell you that they would be drafting?

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Okay, if you want to play that game. What did
I say?

Speaker 5 (06:10):
I think you agreed with me.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Defensive offensive tackle, defensive tackle. We've been clamoring for.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
Absolutely.

Speaker 7 (06:14):
Well, let's go to the podium, Pete, let it rock, baby.

Speaker 9 (06:17):
You got it baby.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
We're the twenty eighth pick in the twenty twenty five.

Speaker 8 (06:21):
NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select ty Leek Williams, defensive
tackle Ohio State.

Speaker 7 (06:30):
All right, you know what I heard there?

Speaker 12 (06:32):
I heard everyone booing the Lions because they know we
are the kings of the note.

Speaker 9 (06:36):
That was a smart pick.

Speaker 7 (06:37):
Hey, green Bay had two hundred and twenty thousand people
in that little place. They did a great job last night,
but it wasn't Detroit.

Speaker 8 (06:43):
I'm glad you brought it up before we get into
telite Williams. As you see, I got a lot to
say about him. I'm actually very excited with this pick.
I didn't care who it was if it was a
defensive line. If I'm honest, if they draft the defensive
line of twenty I would have made an excuse to
like that individual. I only came here with numbers and
stats and facts and things that nature. But let's talk
about green Bay in itself. Last year, pick twenty two

(07:05):
was Tarryon Arnold.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Correct.

Speaker 8 (07:06):
When Terry and Arnold's name got called, I wasn't even
at Ford Field the draft.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
I went to the I was excuse me.

Speaker 8 (07:13):
I was at Ford Field at a watch party, but
I wasn't outside at campus.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Marsh's right.

Speaker 8 (07:18):
I was at the draft the following day, Maz when
they said his name. When I was at Ford Field
and we were watching on the TV in the club level,
I heard it from outside. I didn't even hear the
TV once you said, it was so loud you would
have thought Terry and Arnold was Charles Woodson. And that's
not a shot. That's not disrespectful. I'm just saying terms

(07:39):
of the welcome.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Last night, when they drafted Matthew Golden, I was like, eh,
it's quiet.

Speaker 8 (07:47):
The crowd looked amazing. I liked the set up their
stage I think was a little bit better. But the
noise wasn't there, that energy wasn't there. It's not the
same esthetic as Detroit.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
Don't you think the pick was a little bit of
a head scratcher.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
We've talked about this, talking about they've got Green Bay.

Speaker 12 (08:03):
Yeah, they've got three or four wide receivers that you
don't know who the guy is. And they go out
and get a guy and I am a huge Golden fan,
but he's five eleven. He fits in almost a cookie
cutter wide receiver room that they have right there.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
I didn't think that's where they needed to go.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
This is true.

Speaker 8 (08:17):
But when your running back Josh Jacobs comes out and
say that you need a number one, they do and
had no problem saying that. And then you go out
and drafted, and you're saying that there's a level of
truth to that. But yeah, it is a bunch.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Of wide receivers in that room. And maybe they were
thinking that Terry Arnold was a hit scratcher hand Detroit realistic.

Speaker 8 (08:34):
If we want to be honest, if you take out
the fact that he went to Alabama, you were like, okay, maybe,
but Detroit didn't care about that because Detroit fans job
Downtown Detroit was whoever Brad Holmes chose to select. Oh,
we're gonna make all the noise in the world. So
I just thought that was different and unique.

Speaker 7 (08:52):
We got super Chat throws a big twenty dollars bill
and he throws Andrew Jackson out.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
He says, batton ot off right now, banging banging it
off right now.

Speaker 12 (09:06):
Happy with the interior d pick, going to get a
big frank future replacement back up. Next, we got linebacker
room and rotation for the year. Fifth year surprise. Rodriguez
needs his due as utility number one anywhere on the field.
And listen, if you guys see what he's doing there, Chat,

(09:26):
he's putting twenty bucks in because we got the final
prize pack of the week and it really is the
best that we have had so far. I got you
if you want to give him some camera love here,
mister Pete, we got.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
A Ben Wallace bobblehead's brand. I got another one brand
new in the box. You're getting the Nasi Mohammed bobblehead.
You are getting to Braylen Edwards signed rookie.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Look at ans and getting it going over here.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
You also got this Darren McCarty sign rookie.

Speaker 12 (09:56):
Really, I took two hours to find the coolest McCarty card.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Do you have a rip over there? Do you have
a rip over there?

Speaker 5 (10:04):
I got you a rip.

Speaker 8 (10:06):
Guess who was sitting right in front of me last
night at the game, at the Pistons game, Rich Ben,
I see being right there, Ben Wallace and Rip Hamlin,
and they were sitting in the front to the right
of the basket, Piston side.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
I was sitting directly behind them. And we'll get to that.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
I'm not done. I got more. I got there. I
got your brother Piper's paget Craig head up at the top.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
There.

Speaker 12 (10:32):
You are gonna get an Obie Mela fan will autographed
Rookie card right here.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
This is autographed from the factory. There it is right there.
That's autograph from the factory.

Speaker 12 (10:44):
You got a bunch more Pistons, Tigers, Lions cards that
I'm throwing in here, a bunch of those little Juwan
Howard Rookie Howards.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Shout out to SOUTHI Chicago.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
The V Friends Hustling Hamster.

Speaker 12 (10:58):
If anything represents Gary and his V Friends, it is
the Hustling Hamster. In honor of the May seventh tops
chromer release.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
Of V French.

Speaker 7 (11:06):
You're getting that.

Speaker 12 (11:07):
And you know what, mister Pete came in today and
brought in this pack of tops for me to open
on the air.

Speaker 13 (11:15):
Live.

Speaker 12 (11:15):
Whatever we pull when we're running that wheel, we're.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Going to open this scene. Whatever we pull is going
to you.

Speaker 7 (11:23):
I love that.

Speaker 8 (11:24):
I can say I really appreciate how you've been cooking
with the show. You guys are a collective. You guys
have been cooking all week. The engagement has been up.
I've been hearing nothing but good things. Last night at
the game, I actually had somebody. Usually when I go
to games, the person they asked me about tom as
away and then you know the women over sixth they
asked about ryand or mine.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
But I actually had two individuals asked me about answering.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Were they hot women under sixty falls?

Speaker 8 (11:54):
But look, last night was a great night. I want
to get into a little bit of this because I'm
truly excited. We clamored for ative tackle with defensive being
and Russian something to make this line better before we
get from Brad Holmes, because we do have some sound
that Pete's gonna cook for a second.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
But let me just read this teleiku.

Speaker 8 (12:10):
Williams first interior defensive lineman Detroit selected in the first
round draft since two.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Thousand and eleven. Any guesses as to who that was?

Speaker 8 (12:19):
Oh? Sorry, no, no, no, no, no, you're good at first
of hiuse State defensive line. So these are just a
little bit about the drafted So but we don't need
to read anything. How about we hear from the man himself,
draft guru Brad.

Speaker 14 (12:29):
Holmes super excited how everything went tonight to be able
to acquire Tahleik. Obviously been watching him for a really
long time. He's played a lot of football there at
a very consistent level, and he just has a lot
of traits and qualities that we're looking for and he's
going to fit right in here like a glove. So

(12:50):
we spent a lot of time with him during the
process leading up to this, and we were very, very
impressed after each time we were able to spend.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Time with him.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
And this is also what we've been talking about.

Speaker 8 (13:03):
This is kind of what we got in our heads
asy you were there from Jump talking about everybody, calm down,
Brad Holmes will figure this thing out, trusting Brad.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
And so eventually we got to that space.

Speaker 8 (13:12):
I said, hey, look, I even maz I said he
wouldn't move up right. And when we went had Scott Bischebah,
I said, it just doesn't seem like this is a
draft where people are clamoring to move up and et cetera.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
So they got to pick it that I am a
proponent of who's your coach? Like I'm a proponent of
who your coach is. I talked about the Georgia guys.
I named all them. I named Tray Smith. I said,
look at what he's done, look at what he's put
in the league.

Speaker 8 (13:34):
You can trust the stock that comes from talking about
Jaylon Walker or Michael Williams. What Larry Johnson Senior do
I need to go down the list of defensive linemen
that had come out of the House State coached by
Larry Johnson senior. Chase Young when he came out, I
remember he was both the bolts of brothers Hubbard who
just retired Sam Hubbard from Cincinnati. List goes on, and
this is just another one. When you look at the games,

(13:55):
you're like, man's where's where's the sack? I don't see
the sack. It's not it's not about the not about
the number. It is about the force multiplier in the middle.
That's what he does. He may not have had sex
against Notre Dame, against Texas, against Oregon, against Michigan, but if.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
You look at the guys next to him.

Speaker 8 (14:14):
Five sacks next to him, the Notre Dame game, four
sacks next to him, the Texas game, six sacks next
to him, the Oregon game.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Michigan.

Speaker 8 (14:22):
Yeah, it has another story. I had to throw that
in there, But that's how you judge a guy. Look
at what the guys are doing around and when you're
looking at a big defensive tackle in the middle, Brad Holmes,
he went and got his guy.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
He went, guys, guy, what do you think before we
go to the next clib.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
I absolutely love it.

Speaker 12 (14:36):
I didn't like the edges after the top twelve to
fifteen picks once Harmon was off the board.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
I'm just I'm looking to fill that middle wheelers.

Speaker 12 (14:46):
Huge question mark right now over Aleam McNeil's had. When
is he gonna get here? But this guy's very versatile.
He's got high level production at the college at the
college level.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
And he it brings the culture.

Speaker 12 (15:01):
He matches up with what this culture is here in Detroit.
I'd like to see him paired with another Ohio State
defensive lineman in the second round, which could happen.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
But I think that this.

Speaker 12 (15:13):
Screams Dan and Brad and I know that there were
some people kind of waiting to be excited, waiting to
be upset, and they didn't really know the strength of
these defensive tackles. At the end of the first round,
it was just too much for this regime to pass
on one of these guys.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
And I really think they got it right.

Speaker 7 (15:30):
Listen, the word on the street was the Philadelphia Eagles
reached out to Brad Holmes and said, we want to
come up. Do you want to come down to the
last spot, and they almost pulled the trigger, and Brad
Holmes said, there were a couple of offers to move down,
but we're here, and that it was the Eagles because
the Eagles did something with Kansas City. But they were

(15:51):
worried about Buffalo because they thought the Buffalo Bills loved
this kid and they were going to pair him with
their great defensive line. So that's why he stood because
supposedly Tyler Williams was a second round talent is what
they say. Okay, but a lot of people, including our
favorite guy, and of course that would be Baldy. We'll

(16:13):
play that in a minute for you. Baldy loves this pick.
And look, Brad Holmes knows what he's doing. We all
bitch and complain, at least I do about the free
agency and all of that. But this guy knows how
to draft. So it's in his hands. I'm so good
with it.

Speaker 8 (16:28):
Yeah, it was definitely in his hands and he definitely
knows how to draft. This is what they needed, though,
This is what they wanted the defensive line. You gotta
add bodies. That's what we saw towards the end of
the year. Look, there were a lot of injuries on
that defense as a whole, but the defensive line is
the one that really hampered and really hurt his team
in the stretch, especially against the Commander. So you get
a guy, you got bodies. Now, there's some guys that
have been coming back this year. Don't forget about Mikay

(16:50):
Wingo comes out of LSU. Oh yeah, there's a lot
of spaces they have, man, But that's an inside guy
and he's three thirty five. He'll be three twenty by
the time the season starts. Man, this is a guy
I had to get a lot of use and a
lot of playing time with guys being injured, guys coming back.
He'll be serviceable for the start of season. To get
ready for the end of season. I like the potential
for what this guy could be. And I'm a huge

(17:10):
Larry Johnson fan. Larry Johnson Senior maybe for me, the
only thing out of Ohio State that actually like I
like Larry Johnson Virginia excuse me Senior.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Love what he's done. And then he got a chance
to coach a couple of years back.

Speaker 8 (17:22):
But no, trust the talent that comes out of that
defensive lineup.

Speaker 12 (17:26):
The obsession in this town for an edge opposite of
Aiden Hutchinson.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
It's been going on for a couple of years now.
But right when you started this off, you mentioned something
really really important.

Speaker 12 (17:40):
He might not got in the sacks, but the guys
on the other sides of him did. Our edge rushers
got better with this pick. Our defensive line got deeper
and better with this pick.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
Our secondary they got a little bit better.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Talk about it, no doubt.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
So I think that this fits in exactly what they needed.
And you don't, you know, I.

Speaker 12 (18:01):
Look back through all of the last like twenty Super
Bowl winners. They don't have crazy sack totals on the edge.
When you look at the JJ Watson, the Miles Garrett's,
the premieer edge rushers in this league.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
There aren't many Super Bowl rings to go around.

Speaker 12 (18:15):
It's about the four, it's about the seven, eight, nine
in depth that you have. And that's what these guys
are doing. We've had that on the offensive line. Now
we're starting to build it on the defensive line too.

Speaker 8 (18:25):
Yeah, that's what you saw at the Rams when they
won the Super Bowl. They had Aaron Downald for a
bunch of years, they had Robert Quinn but got rid
of him. But then when they want they have Von
Miller on one side, they had Aaron.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Donald in the middle.

Speaker 8 (18:33):
You have Floyd on the other side. You were able
to do multiple things. Pete, you said you had something
me come on, yeah, let's pick up.

Speaker 9 (18:39):
I appreciate you that. Braylin.

Speaker 11 (18:40):
I just wanted to add to your guys this conversation
because Braylan, you're absolutely I mean, you play in the NFL.
You know these NFL players better than anybody. You're absolutely right.

Speaker 9 (18:48):
And the great thing about I heard three great words.

Speaker 11 (18:51):
Last night about Telik Williams's pick. Two of those words
were Larry Johnson and the other word was disruptor. And
it's like, you know, and you said a dance and
he makes everybody around him better. That pick last night
was a pick to protect his defensive line and protect
all of his players on the defense.

Speaker 9 (19:10):
And what a great pick. That's all I wanted to
say about that, Bray. It was just a.

Speaker 12 (19:13):
Oneful The chance got some things to say as well.
They want to chime in Dexter James with five bucks.
Happy Friday to you all. Do you think we should
go for an old lineman round two or possibly trade
up to get an edge rusher? How should Brad Cook
Christopher Evans with another's with a super chat as well?
Casey Rodgers will coach him up. Well, Easter to La

(19:35):
love that name. Do the Lions still go after a
defensive end in the draft or did they sign someone
who make it cut after Mini camp I think Z's
coming back. We'll get to that I too, and then Burn,
you know he's a constant in there.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Burn.

Speaker 12 (19:49):
I watched tight Leek's interview from before the National Championship.
In hindsight, he is the most obvious Dan Campbell guy ever.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Also he is a monster.

Speaker 12 (19:58):
Then Dante one fifty one one super chat legend. I
really love the pick, and are the Steelers going to
roll with Rudolph at QB because if so, then the
Steelers are going to stealer.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
Also, I did like the Jets pick, just to let you.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Know, Bray future reference. You got every one at a time.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
I don't realized that that they're just piling up. I
want to get through them before they drag off the top.

Speaker 12 (20:21):
There lots to talk about, though, and it seems like
we don't have the people complaining about this draft.

Speaker 8 (20:26):
It seems like they're on the I think coming into
this draft, I think people start to get more comfortable
with the idea of what this team was and what
this team could be if they were completely helpy. I
know it's if Behay, if that we have, I think
people are confident. I think people are confident in Brad
holmes choice.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
What did he say? Excuse me?

Speaker 8 (20:43):
What did the individual say in the comments he said?
I saw his interview before. When you watch an interview
with anybody that Brad Holmes was drafted by the way,
saw Jamiir Gibbs last night sitting courts at UH.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
They're brad guys.

Speaker 8 (20:56):
As soon as you hear their boys, soon as you
hear him answer a question, soon as you hear him
talk about a teammate. Ah, yeah, this is the guy. Yeah,
he's gonna fit the locker room. And I think that
this guy will fit the locker room. I love his slide,
like the versatility has I know we bought that word
up as a three hundred and thirty five pound man.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
He can move.

Speaker 8 (21:14):
I remember when Sean Rodgers was drafted here to Detroit Lions,
Big Sean Rodgers out of Texas played with him at
Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
For that size that he was.

Speaker 8 (21:22):
Man, he could do anything on that defensive line. We
used to line him up at tight end and have
some fun and some red zone package. That's what you see.
That's what you see Talik do as well.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
Man.

Speaker 8 (21:30):
He could slide down the line of scrimmage. There was
a play that they showed in his draft breakdown. He
slid down the line of scrimmage to meet the quarterback
on an option. He met the quarterback in the backfield
like he slid down in three thirty five just way
till he gets the lead.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
But he fits.

Speaker 8 (21:44):
And this is Brad Holmes talking about him fitness team.

Speaker 14 (21:49):
He has the physical skill set, he's got the you know,
the power, he's got the band and the agility, like
he's a very nimble athlete. But the thing about is
that he is he's incredibly instinctive too. You know, in
my opinion, you know him and one other DT that
was in this class where the top two instinctive demonsive

(22:11):
tackles in this whole class, and he was one of
those guys. So I think his versatility is really gonna help.
You know, he has a lot of similar traits to
a Leam McNeil, you know, almost similar body type. I
just think that, you know, he might be you know,
a Leam came out more nose.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Tackle ish a little bit.

Speaker 14 (22:33):
Obviously, he slimed his body down became a three technique.
I think he's kind of coming in closer to that
right now.

Speaker 8 (22:40):
Yeah, this is about another guy that could play the game.
He comes from a team, excuse me, he comes from
a school national championship.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
You have to respect that.

Speaker 8 (22:46):
You have to respect that defensive line coach and Larry
Johnson Senior, and you just gotta respect what this guy is.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
I think this is it's gonna be a really good pick.

Speaker 8 (22:53):
It's one of those picks that I didn't I didn't foresee,
but now that it's happened, and I'm just kind of
looking at everything this is this is a really good pick.

Speaker 12 (23:03):
Just Detroit, trust Brand and Dan all of a sudden,
it's a fair question. Took a few years, right, took
a few years of people scratching their hat and complaining
after the draft, after each day.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Last night was a prime guy.

Speaker 12 (23:17):
Wasn't a guy that's been on everybody's list, not a
guy targeting the top twenty five. In fact, a guy
that was you know, between thirty three and forty one
on a lot of lesson I saw this.

Speaker 8 (23:28):
Was a can I ask you a question? We've never
talked about this, this element of it. They find these
guys that maybe would have gone a little lesser, you know,
maybe he's the second round pick. Maybe Brian Brand sneaks
to the third round for some reason, maybe and they
bring him in. Is it almost like these players, like
I have to perform from this individual because they may

(23:50):
have saved me from men a later pick.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
They may have saved me from going to a situation
like they chose me. My name wasn't my name wasn't here.

Speaker 8 (23:59):
I wasn't room to be picked here, and now you
come here. It's a loyalty type of thing. Is that
potentially something you can see.

Speaker 5 (24:07):
I haven't thought of that angle, and I love that angle.

Speaker 12 (24:09):
It's crazy, it's true because when you know you're better
than the twenty five or the forty ranking that they're
giving you, and you, hey, I'm a top twenty guy,
and you go in and you meet with the guy
that also sees that, a guy that's running a team,
and hey, we love you. You might be not, you know,
low on other people's list, but we got you on
that top eighteen I always talk about and they certainly did.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
I know they were sweating that the Falcons were going
to take him.

Speaker 12 (24:33):
So at that point, I think you're both meeting each
other in the middle. Hey, you want to be responsible
to this guy.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
That had faith in you.

Speaker 12 (24:38):
But at the same time, Dan and Brad they continue
to do this, They continue to find these guys in
the later rounds and take these chances. I mean, like,
I love the idea of Manu having that loyalty, Like
he was taken much earlier than I think he thought
he was going to be at that point.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
Yeah, I'm gonna play my ass off for you guys.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
All right, Look, we got a young man that's waiting

Speaker 8 (30:16):
Speaking of less drave Ryan, I'm glad you said let's drive.
It's a perfect start to the conversation.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (30:23):
Everybody was telling everybody was saying, let Brown Holmes drive.
Let Brad Holmes drive the car. Let Brad and Dan Campbell.
Let them drive the car because they've driven us this far.
They've driven us to fifteen and two, they've driven us
to six Pro bowlers, to all pros.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
That's what they did. They figured it out in the draft.
I caught that, by the.

Speaker 8 (30:41):
Way, last night, pick twenty eight, were you happy? Were
you content?

Speaker 13 (30:47):
Look when the pick came in. I'll be honest, I
was totally underwhelmed. This guy might be an all pro.
He is obviously a guy that the Lions think highly of.
I have no idea if he was the right guy
or not. I think what happened is this. I think
every single player that the Lions had targeted at twenty

(31:09):
eight was taken.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
I simply do. I just won after the.

Speaker 13 (31:13):
Next all these offensive guards, some great defensive linemen, some
defensive back, safety, wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (31:21):
Every name that was attached with.

Speaker 13 (31:23):
The Detroit Lions throughout this process seemed to be gone.
So yeah, I mean, could he be a stalworth of
the defensive line for the next ten years? Absolutely? And
then you know what's gonna happen. I'll say it was
a great pig hold. Let Brad Holmes cook. But look,
I just I went last night and I looked, you know,

(31:43):
when the cause you could see on Twitter who everybody's
picking before ten minutes before they actually have their names called.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
That's another story for another day.

Speaker 13 (31:51):
So I saw that, I saw that the Lions were
gonna pick, and I went through. Now again, you can
throw out the quote, who in the hell is mel Kuiper?
But I just went best available to see where this
guy ranked on mel Kiper's Best Available.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
He wasn't even on the first five pages.

Speaker 13 (32:09):
So I'm not saying I'm not saying that they didn't
get a great player or anything like that, but I
will say that throughout brand Holmes's tenure as Lions general manager,
I think throughout every first round, at least maybe even
in the second, his philosophy was, and he said as

(32:31):
much in his pre draft press conference, he was going
to take the best player available. I don't think you
look at that board last night and say that he
took the best player available. I think he drafted for need,
which is totally fine, by the way. I think a
lot of Lions fans wanted him to go in that
direction in draft, a defensive lineman, in edge rusher, whatever

(32:54):
the case may be, because that's the area where the
Lions are mostly thin.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
There's no doubt about it.

Speaker 13 (33:01):
But you can't tell me that he was the best
player on the available on the board last night.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
I just don't buy it.

Speaker 8 (33:07):
And before I bring Anson Wellson, who definitely has something
to say to you about that, Ryan Mine, some of
those players that Ryan were talking about, Mikhale Williams out
of Georgia, Jaylon Walker out of Georgia, Shamar Stewart Texas
A and m James Pears junior who went two picks
before to league. So these are so many the players
they were talking about. Assai, you might feel different than

(33:27):
Ryan though.

Speaker 12 (33:29):
I mean, honestly, this guy's way down on boards and
this is the type of player that in past drafts
everyone in Detroit would.

Speaker 5 (33:37):
Have complained about.

Speaker 12 (33:38):
But we were kind of talking before you got on
with us that it seems like all of Detroit finally
trusts Brad and Dan and that it can be a
relative unknown even in the first round, compared to the
Mike Greens and Chamars that everybody else has been fixated on.
Does Detroit does the fan base of the Lions finally

(33:59):
trust these two?

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Do you?

Speaker 4 (34:02):
There's no doubt?

Speaker 13 (34:02):
I mean, look, if they get another Alie McNeil in
this player, are you going to be happy about that?
Are you going to complain that they didn't get you know,
Will Johnson or whoever else? I mean, he is still
available and that's something I'm sure will come in on.
But yeah, I mean, if they get another Alie McNeil
to play next to Alie McNeil, you're gonna.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Be happy with that.

Speaker 13 (34:25):
I think that's what that's the that's the equity that
Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell have bought themselves in this town.
When you draft away, they draft. Yeah, you know, their
names might be underwhelming when they're called, but when they
get on the field, all they do is produce, and
they produce in a Pro Bowl type caliber level. And

(34:46):
this player appears to be you know, after listening to
after listening to Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell talk about it,
this player appears to be a guy that could come
in and play in September. I'm talking Week one starting
down there, when Alee McNeil.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Is not in there.

Speaker 13 (35:06):
So I think that's something to keep an eye on.
This is a ready to go type of player. It
was a ready to go type of pick. It was
a position of need, and I think it was a
pick of need and that is Okay, that's what Brad
Holmes the equity that he's gotten here in Detroit.

Speaker 7 (35:23):
Hey, right, let me say, I've seen C plus grade,
I've seen B. I mean, who'd we wanted to take
Shador Sanders so we can make a big splash you know,
Jackson Dart, you know, go on and on and on.
Here's what they say about him. Tyleek Williams, Ohio state
best run stopper in the class, makes everyone around him better,

(35:43):
will help contain Saquan and a possible playoff matchup. Who
is going to rush the passer opposite Aiden Hutchinson is
the downside. Now here's Eric Woodyard, our friend. Why they
picked him. Detroit addressed one of its major needs on
the team adding Williams. He was third team All Big Ten.
The Lions were hit hard by injuries last year. Aleen

(36:06):
McNeill working his way back. Williams definitely beeps up the line.
One hundred and thirty six tackles. Yah yah yah. So
the biggest question is basically, thirty seven sacks last year.
Put some twenty third Hutchinson's back. It's gonna help him.
But this they have to get someone to help him.
I hear Zadarius Smith. Obviously he's still in town. No

(36:29):
one has signed him. Maybe they get him on the Chief. Yes,
I know he does. Maybe they get him on the
Chief and tonight or tomorrow they get their pass rushing.
I don't know what else to say.

Speaker 13 (36:41):
And they probably will. I mentioned this to you guys yesterday,
and I firmly believe this. Regardless of what Detroit Lions
fans think of Marcus Davenport. I think the Detroit Lions
are very comfortable with him opposite Aiden Hutchinson. I don't
believe they're concerned about the injuries. I don't leave they
think he's gonna miss a significant portion of the schedule

(37:05):
this year. And I think between Marcus Davenport and Josh
Pascal and perhaps somebody they draft tonight.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
I think they think they're good there. They might not
take a defensive end tonight, guys. And what would you
say to that.

Speaker 7 (37:25):
I wouldn't like it.

Speaker 5 (37:26):
I'm okay with that.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
I'm okay with that.

Speaker 5 (37:28):
Give me a nice mauling offensive lineman.

Speaker 8 (37:32):
I'll wait right, I'll be perfectly fine with At the
end of the day, they drafted one in the first round.
And like you said, Ryan and Min, we've come to
this space now where where maybe Man Davenport is going
to be the guy, maybe DJ Reid for what this
offense is gonna be with Alee McNeill and now Tyler Williams,
and then when you get Aid and Hudson back.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Maybe they are already set. I agree one percent.

Speaker 8 (37:51):
One thing I do like Ryan, though, is last year
you move up to twenty second to get Terry and Arnold,
so now you get terrying. But it's like, all right,
we moved out, we sacrificed a little bit of draft cat.
What's this guy gonna be?

Speaker 3 (38:02):
Jamo? Moved up to get twenty picks for an injured guy. Okay,
even though I saw him in the National Championship before
he got What's he gonna be?

Speaker 8 (38:09):
Jamiirkiz? Oh lord, they drafted a running back, they moved
up twenty picks. They just picked it twenty eight. They
saved all the money they had, they saved the cap space,
they picked the position of need that we all wanted.
I think under those circumstances, I'm perfectly fine with yesterday.
Because there's seven picks left. There's a lot of time
for them to be great.

Speaker 13 (38:27):
And by the way, I will say, hey, Bray, I
was gonna say, Bray, how I don't know about you,
but the minute Howie Roseman turns in the card for
John Campbell, I immediately think of mass putting his face yep,
just burying his face, right.

Speaker 7 (38:44):
I hate him and watch john Watch.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
Turned into a po bowler.

Speaker 5 (38:50):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 7 (38:52):
He was injured. He was a perfect lion. He was
a perfect lion, an injured guy.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
Our second guessing themselves now mask you know what.

Speaker 12 (38:59):
Man shoulder surgery. They're saying he needs another and he
has an arthritic knee.

Speaker 7 (39:04):
All Pro. We'll see.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
Is anything to surprise you?

Speaker 4 (39:08):
Play?

Speaker 13 (39:10):
Look, I'm totally surprised, shad Look if there were odds
last night on Shaduur Sanders and Will Johnson not going
in the first round, I'd have told you you were
absolutely crazy. These are two players rejected in the top
five in most mock drafts up until about a month ago.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
I cannot believe Shadoor Sanders was not.

Speaker 13 (39:33):
Picked, and I cannot believe that Will Johnson was not selected.
That leads me to believe first on Johnson, I was
texting with his dad a little bit today. Didn't get
into much of the injury situation. But whoever gets Will
Johnson is going to get an all pro type player.
This kid is a top five player and he's going
to be an all Pro. And I don't know what

(39:55):
the injury situation is, but clearly there are thirty two
teams last night that were not commfortable with his medicals.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
And we'll see what happens there.

Speaker 13 (40:04):
If he has to sit a year to have another
knee surgery, it is what it is.

Speaker 4 (40:08):
Other teams have done that for other players.

Speaker 13 (40:13):
Whoever he falls to, that is the young man that
is going to do all the right things to get
on the field.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
I think twofold here.

Speaker 13 (40:23):
For any Michigan fan that thinks he quit on his
team last year, I think all of those doubts, all
of those theories, all of those conspiracies were answered last night.
This was not a young man that quit on his team.
This is not a young man that just said, Okay,
I'm going to make a business decision and not play.
This was a young man that's dealing with an injury,

(40:44):
and so much so that thirty two teams passed on
him last night because of the medicals.

Speaker 4 (40:49):
That's a fact. Go ahead.

Speaker 7 (40:52):
I was just going to say Dangel Jeremiah had him
out of the first round. He was the first guy
that had him drop out of the first round. Peter
Schrager had him slip into the Lions. I thought Scheger
was going to hit it right on the button. I
mean the word was out on this kid. And look,
I was one of the first guys to say, hey,
he don't want to play, he don't want to do this.
And you know what I said today. I apologized today

(41:15):
because I was one of them. I was one of
them because this is what happens in college football now.
So I'm a little jaded. I'm a little jaded. So
I apologize to the player that I called out. As
far as Shador goes, he's gonna wind up in Cleveland,
and I wish him the best, honestly.

Speaker 13 (41:33):
And you know what, and he probably is going to
go to Cleveland tonight. And that's one heck of a draft.
If you're Cleveland, If you got your quarterback in the
second round and you got perhaps the best defensive lineman
interior defensive lineman in the draft, You've hit a home run.

(41:53):
That is exactly You can't draw it up any better.
That's draft Day. That's Kevin cost their Draft Day text. Seriously,
he was. He was the general manager for the Browns,
right Toney Weaver.

Speaker 7 (42:08):
He didn't he didn't get rid of all the second
round picks either. They did all right for themselves, the team.
I think they did the best. I think the Giants
did the best they but as the way, you're not
gonna score a lot of points against the Giants. They
might not score the go ahead.

Speaker 13 (42:24):
Look the Giant, the Giants and the Browns did exactly
what they wanted to do. The Giants get a Duel
Carter and the quarterback that they want. Cleveland gets Mason
Graham and the quarterback they want. You can't draw it
up any better than that.

Speaker 12 (42:38):
It's the first good draft the Browns have had since
two thousand and five. Unfortunately he's not here to hear that,
but it's the first good move I've seeing those guys
make since they drafted.

Speaker 7 (42:47):
Break you walk out the walk out. We had to
walk out. I think I talked too much. I was
talking too much, so he did a walk out the walkout.
You have to get the water.

Speaker 12 (43:01):
I've been waiting to say that since last night. And
it comes right as he leaves, so.

Speaker 7 (43:05):
You're gonna have to repeat it when it comes back.
So Ry, what do you what are they doing in
round two? Round two?

Speaker 5 (43:12):
They are sitting at number sixty and number one oh two.

Speaker 7 (43:17):
What are they gonna do?

Speaker 4 (43:19):
A projects?

Speaker 13 (43:20):
Man, It's it's all projects. Take the best player on
the board. You can chances are the guys not even
gonna see the field for a year or two.

Speaker 4 (43:27):
These are developmental guys. Now.

Speaker 13 (43:29):
It's it's like your buddy Giovanni Manu, who may get
on the field this year, Maz may not. But that Look,
the Lions only have one or two slots available. It's
not like they're it's not like they're filled with open,
open spots. It is what it is. They're gonna take
the best player available. They'll probably take guys that you've

(43:51):
never heard of before, and that's okay, you know right.

Speaker 12 (43:54):
I got an interesting question here from Michael Wherry in
the super chat. Since that has done the GM, how
many first round picks have been a bust?

Speaker 5 (44:04):
He thinks the answer is zero. He wants to know what.

Speaker 13 (44:07):
We think, Well, you can't do that because of those
first round picks.

Speaker 4 (44:15):
How many of them were top ten picks? You know
what I mean?

Speaker 5 (44:18):
But guys missed on top ten picks all the time.
You know, yes, you.

Speaker 13 (44:23):
Know what, You're absolutely right about that top half first round.

Speaker 4 (44:28):
It's a lot easier to pick those guys.

Speaker 13 (44:31):
I mean, it's really hard to screw up. Even though
you can't screw them up. I mean, you didn't pick
a quarterback. You haven't picked its quarterback in the first round.
Those are the guys that are really easy to screw up.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
Ryan quick question. Let's talk let's talk about.

Speaker 8 (44:45):
The the teams in the division. What did you make
of Chicago's pick? What did you make of Green Bay's pick?
What do you make of Minnesota?

Speaker 7 (44:53):
Nice?

Speaker 4 (44:54):
I called it.

Speaker 13 (44:55):
I called the Bears yesterday on the show. I called
the Bears. I said that did I think they were
gonna get astra gente? But they were going to get
one of the tight ends. Colston Lovelin is a perfect
pick for them. He is going to be a Sam
Laporta type guy.

Speaker 4 (45:10):
So they got better.

Speaker 13 (45:12):
I think green By the uh boy at four to
two speed?

Speaker 4 (45:16):
What is that? The first wide receiver they've picked since
two thousand and two?

Speaker 13 (45:20):
Had some fun with him last night, and then I
don't even know who Minnesota took?

Speaker 4 (45:23):
Who Minnesota take? Jump off the page of me?

Speaker 3 (45:30):
Isn't it crazy?

Speaker 8 (45:31):
Isn't it crazy that Ohio State players no longer jump
off the pace unless you're talking about wide receivers.

Speaker 4 (45:38):
Yeah, well it's wide receiver you over there now right?

Speaker 7 (45:41):
Yeah, Buca went over to UH Tampa Bay best picking.

Speaker 4 (45:47):
It's a head scratcher wide receiver.

Speaker 3 (45:50):
That's the best pick in the draft of my big.

Speaker 12 (45:54):
Both of their guys and Jaylen McMillan was very strong
last year.

Speaker 5 (45:58):
Are they drafted a first round four wide receiver.

Speaker 3 (46:02):
Talking about I always say it, I would.

Speaker 4 (46:06):
Make what you do great greater, and they did that.

Speaker 3 (46:09):
Hey, why wouldn't you Drift Meca Buka.

Speaker 8 (46:10):
Meco Buka is an individual that went back to college
and he could have came out last year chose.

Speaker 12 (46:16):
I'm a huge fan of his. Yeah, but they just
re signed. They just extended Mike. They just extended eight
hundred years old.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
Agreed.

Speaker 12 (46:24):
But then they also Drift guy was just a head scratcher.
I love him as a prospect.

Speaker 8 (46:29):
No, a head scratcher is Michael Pennix. When you have
Kirk Cousins, it's not a hit scratcher. Mike Evans in
the year fourteen. And then guy has been ready.

Speaker 13 (46:37):
Last night, totally ready for Atlanta to take you to
her last.

Speaker 7 (46:41):
Night falcon that how about James Pierce. Atlanta moved up
and grabbed this guy. This guy is a he's a menace,
but a lot of team. Yeah, a lot of teams
shied away from him because of his off the field stuff.
Same thing that happened to the kid from Toledo, Mike Green,
marsh Marshall, Marshall.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
Yeah, I haven't diving up into these and he's still
out there. It's supposed to go.

Speaker 4 (47:08):
Top to push people down. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (47:12):
I just Egles will trade up for Eagles will trade
up for.

Speaker 3 (47:18):
The twenty years old.

Speaker 7 (47:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (47:22):
If you believe in your organization and that you can
get guys on the right track, you gotta take that guy.

Speaker 4 (47:29):
You help him get right. That's what happens.

Speaker 3 (47:34):
I agree. I've always said that.

Speaker 8 (47:35):
That's why I was so pissed about the Jaalen You
know me, the Jalen Carter situation. Marlon Jackson was a
dB that came out with me in Michigan. I know
you know Ryan, I know you know. Man got drafted
in the first round twenty eight, I want to say,
or twenty nine to the coast.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
He had a situation his freshman year. His freshman year,
he has a situation that ended up being okay, and
n four years later they bought that situation. We got to.

Speaker 8 (47:57):
Pass this guy because of this, that and the third.
I know what happened in this situation, and it is
nothing like what they said. They used something from three
years ago to dock them. He still was first round.
But that's what they do. Man, any little blimish, they
will find a reason we'll pass on.

Speaker 13 (48:11):
It, which is pretty unfortunate. You know, you should never
judge a player by his worst moment. Never judge an
eighteen year old kid by a mistake he makes when
he's you know, sixteen or eighteen, or even nineteen or twenty.

Speaker 4 (48:26):
I mean, give these guys a chance. I thought, Mike
Green and the dog Man that player. Can you imagine him?
Apo Aiden Hutchinson.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
Yeah, I'm glad you said Green. Last question for me.

Speaker 8 (48:41):
Green Bay last night, two hundred and twenty thousand people.
They had to sing, but it didn't feel like Detroit.
What did you make of green Bay their draft night?

Speaker 13 (48:52):
I thought it was probably the best that they could
possibly do. I mean, it's the smallest market in professional
sports in the city of Grand Rapids, I think is
bigger than green Bay, Wisconsin. So they did the best
they could. It was never gonna look like Detroit. It
was never gonna look like New York or Chicago or
anything like that. It was fine, It was good. And

(49:15):
again I'm happy the NFL rewards cities like Green Bay.
They'll never get a Super Bowl reward. Cities like Kansas
City never see a Super Bowl. Detroit will never get
another Super Bowl. So I think taking the draft of
those cities is pretty cool.

Speaker 7 (49:27):
Two hundred and twenty thousand people, Man, that was only
like fifty thousand luster with Detroit had on the first night,
so they did plenty. But would you have traded as
much as the Jacksonville Jaguars traded to get Travis Hunter?

Speaker 4 (49:44):
Well, time will tell, right.

Speaker 13 (49:45):
I mean, that's the youngest general manager in the game,
and it looks like he got fleeced.

Speaker 4 (49:49):
He fell in love with the player.

Speaker 13 (49:51):
Yeah, and look, if you're gonna fall in love with
the player, that's a pretty darn good one to fall
in love one. He probably of all the players in
this draft, I would say it's the biggest can't miss guy, right, Really,
I mean, don't if you had to, Okay, I disagree

(50:11):
with that.

Speaker 4 (50:11):
I I just and that's fine.

Speaker 13 (50:13):
But if you know a gun to my head, give
me one player that is going to be an All
Pro it's Travis Hunter, and he fell in love with
that guy and and went to get that player.

Speaker 4 (50:23):
So we'll see if it works out for him. It
probably will.

Speaker 7 (50:26):
What position, Bray, what position? Is he going to be
an All Pro at?

Speaker 3 (50:32):
I hate saying this because now it seems it seems
like I'm a hater. I don't know.

Speaker 8 (50:37):
I don't know, and I don't like. I don't like
that Jacksonville drafted him. I don't like that it's Jacksonville
that draft him.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
I don't know what he's gonna do, because is he
gonna come up and hit Dave Montgomery the whole?

Speaker 7 (50:47):
No, well, your brother in law, that's him.

Speaker 3 (50:49):
Like somebody asked a great question.

Speaker 8 (50:52):
Can Travis Hunter cover Marvin Harrison Junior and then turn
around and run around on Denzel war I don't know.
It's a tough it's a it's a tough deal. It's
Travis Hunter as a complete football player. He is anominally,
he is amazing and he deserves everything he's going. I
just don't know because as a wide receiver, like, who

(51:14):
are we comparing him to? Like as a wide receiver, No,
Tory Holt was a great route runner. Now athletically whyff
Travis Hunter can do It's freaky. It's freak wide receiver.
He don't know, he ain't Tory Holt. I watched Tory
Hold at North Carolina State. That's what we're trying to
figure out. What type of wide receiver is gonna be
all of a lot of what it is. It's just athleticism.

(51:34):
It's just a billity a lot of slant routes, a
lot of gold routes, a lot of jump balls, Like
is he gonna be able to play wide receiver and
then flip side on the defensive side of the ball.

Speaker 3 (51:43):
I'm just nervous. So for the Jacksonville Jaguars to move
up to two, I wouldn't have done it not for
that call, I wouldn't have done it.

Speaker 4 (51:51):
No, I mean that that was a really big cost. Yeah,
I wouldn't have done it either. I mean, I'm just saying,
like what probably happened.

Speaker 13 (51:57):
I mean, that's a young general manager that fell in
love with the play here.

Speaker 5 (52:01):
The Browns really had a good night. Least the Browns
had a great night.

Speaker 7 (52:04):
And of course Bray you stepped out at the time,
but Anson had a little something for you. When the
Browns made their pick of course they take. Will excuse me.
They took Mason Graham and then Anson said that was
one of the best picks they've ever heard. No, it's the.

Speaker 5 (52:19):
Best move they've made on draft days since twenty five.

Speaker 4 (52:23):
Since Kevin Costner picked Twey.

Speaker 8 (52:26):
I appreciate you, but I'm not gonna lie like that,
Miles Geary like.

Speaker 5 (52:30):
That was a breaker.

Speaker 12 (52:31):
You know, I do want to throw something at Ryan
from Dante one to fifty one with the super chat
in here. Some interesting breaking news out of Tennessee. Warren
Moon has given permission to cam Ward to wear the
retired number one jersey Dante one fifty one loves it.

Speaker 5 (52:49):
What do you think of that?

Speaker 4 (52:53):
I hate it?

Speaker 5 (52:54):
Warn Moon's number, me too, Braila.

Speaker 7 (52:57):
That's your guy, Warren Moon.

Speaker 3 (53:00):
War Moon is my favorite quarterback all the time.

Speaker 7 (53:01):
You so you hate it? Of course?

Speaker 5 (53:04):
Why are you asking no one, No, don't ask.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
For a number? This is this is this is I
guess this is. That's what I was gonna say.

Speaker 8 (53:13):
Or get to the point where, like you start creating
your own and you've gotten up to where you're five
years in, you're all pro, You've been to the playoffs,
all right, I want to go back to one at
least now it makes sense. Like if I'm warm Moon,
I'm like, yeah, that boy can play. Yeah, yeah, you
can switch.

Speaker 3 (53:28):
But when you're coming into the league as already, should
he even have been number one overall? I wouldn't be
asking warm Moon for his number just yet.

Speaker 5 (53:37):
But technically he was never a Titan.

Speaker 3 (53:40):
This is true. So the oilers played for the oilers
like warm Moons and my parents.

Speaker 7 (53:48):
Jump in the water.

Speaker 4 (53:52):
Hey, can I just leave you? Let me just leave
you with something real quick? You ready?

Speaker 7 (53:55):
Yeah? I got something for you too, Yes, sir, right,
I was texting the last time you missed, you missed,
you missed the hell of a home crowd, and that
that crowd deserved to win.

Speaker 4 (54:10):
They need to win.

Speaker 7 (54:11):
On Sunday for the city of Detroit.

Speaker 13 (54:15):
They will pistons, baby pistons in seven, Yes.

Speaker 8 (54:19):
Sir Ryan, what's more likely to go to space or
be drafted in the top three?

Speaker 4 (54:26):
Probably go to space.

Speaker 8 (54:29):
For every two and a half astronauts that go to space,
there's one person selected in the top three.

Speaker 1 (54:35):
That's wild.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
It's only one.

Speaker 7 (54:37):
Yeah, you're one of those.

Speaker 8 (54:42):
What's upon a time, my boy, Jeffson, He shouted to Jeff.
Jeff said that to me. I thought that was cool.
I sent it to Calvin. He got a kick out
of it, and so hey, you know, we gotta have some
fun sometimes, have fun.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
Ry enjoy it. Tell the kiddles.

Speaker 13 (54:53):
We said hello, man, I can't thank you enough answering
for all the feeling work you do.

Speaker 7 (55:00):
Thank you, fabulous.

Speaker 4 (55:01):
Shout out you are the man.

Speaker 13 (55:03):
Answer, shout out Ricky Burns, shout out Pete Spima out there.

Speaker 7 (55:07):
Miss Hey, what's our saying for Anson? What's our saying
for Anson? Ryan?

Speaker 3 (55:13):
Let him cook, Let answer cook.

Speaker 7 (55:16):
That's it.

Speaker 12 (55:18):
Hey, just just give less Stanford to call and apologize.

Speaker 4 (55:24):
Actually they're on the other line right now.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
All right, money never sleeps baby, man. Good to see
him have some fun. Man getting out of here. Man
join that. I feel like he took the sun with hi,
middle of sunny before we talked.

Speaker 5 (55:39):
I don't love him.

Speaker 7 (55:39):
I don't let him have a vacation. That's two days
I had him on the roll.

Speaker 8 (55:42):
Trust me, Like when you got your toes in the sand,
it doesn't matter who you're talking.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
To, you're not tripping it off. But that was very
go ahead, I let you go, no, please finish.

Speaker 8 (55:51):
I was just it was very interesting, Ryan said, as
it relates to underwhelming pick, and I wanted to get
your thoughts on that again because I feel like two
things can be true. I think I wanted a defensive
lineman defensive interior so bad that.

Speaker 3 (56:08):
I didn't care. I was happy.

Speaker 8 (56:10):
And then I talked about Larry Johnson Senior, which is true.
I talked about the force multiplier and people that had
success around to league, which is true. But Ryan makes
a very good point because when I watched the pick,
which I fell asleep right after, by the way, shout
out the buddies and the other world sports watch parties,
but I was like, okay, okay, okay, Yet like I

(56:31):
went to sleep, like that is Ryan right about that?

Speaker 3 (56:34):
Is is it twofold?

Speaker 12 (56:36):
I mean if we kind of asked off of the
chat like they've never missed in the first.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
Round, but this isn't.

Speaker 8 (56:43):
But I think the question what Ryan was saying, it's
not about Brad in this one.

Speaker 3 (56:48):
It's just about your thoughts.

Speaker 12 (56:49):
You're feeling well, and that's the thing is I look
at all of the pecks that we've had with this
new regime in the first round and even beyond that,
and there's very few that we've all been excited about,
and it was Hutchinson.

Speaker 5 (57:03):
I mean, who else was who?

Speaker 3 (57:04):
I won't even I won't even say Hutchinson because there
was a large camp that.

Speaker 5 (57:08):
Exactly this guy wanted Michael Persons, not Sewells.

Speaker 3 (57:12):
Most people did.

Speaker 12 (57:12):
Everybody wanted nobody wanted Gibbs. So to me, I just
think that as year, year by year by year we start,
we see these guys take guys that aren't at the top.

Speaker 5 (57:23):
Of Detroit's lists. But Detroiters aren't running this football team.

Speaker 12 (57:27):
Detroitter's didn't get this team, this franchise to fifteen and
two last year with an entire defense on the injured shelf.
So I think, I think, right, Ryan's got it on.
You know, He's nailed it this. This is the Lions
fans are growing along.

Speaker 5 (57:44):
With with this regime.

Speaker 12 (57:45):
I I don't need I just want to see the results.

Speaker 3 (57:51):
And that's fair.

Speaker 8 (57:51):
Were gonna take a quick commercial break and when we
come back, we'll get more into some Lions things.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
Because there's a player currently.

Speaker 11 (57:56):
I was gonna say, can we take a look at
the wheel Bray we we kind of it kind of
helps everybody to take a look at the current status
of the.

Speaker 12 (58:04):
I appreciate that, Pete, and honestly that we're kind of
having a record day. The first hour, you guys absolutely
came correct.

Speaker 12 (58:35):

that we haven't gotten to yet.

Speaker 4 (58:38):

something I want to see.

Speaker 7 (01:02:53):
Well, here's a kid. If you didn't know, I'm pretty
sure you did if you watch the draft that last night.
He built his own dream after room and he had
his logo which I forget what it is, legendary with
the uh the dollar signs everywhere. Listen, this kid comes
with from Dion Sanders. So this kid knows prime time already.

(01:03:15):
And the word on the street was, you know, he's
a kid that thinks he was above board with a
bunch of teams. They didn't like the way he interviewed
from what I understand, Uh, they didn't like his attitude.
The kids got talent, but he doesn't have the biggest arm,
doesn't have the fastest legs. But he comes from a
Hall of famer and he's been coached his whole life

(01:03:38):
from his dad. He made a lot of money in college.
He didn't need to be a top ten pick. It
would have been nice. It's great, it's great. His teammate
Travis Hunter went number two. Dion was was upset New
Orleans are number nine. He stuck with the I think
they took an offensive lineman. I'm not mistaken. You saw

(01:03:59):
Dion's face and like you could tell, that's a dad
that was hurt because he thought he was gonna go
to the Saints. But here's a kid that made it
through the night. And can I play the sound please,
here's the door at the end of the night.

Speaker 21 (01:04:14):
We all didn't expect this, of course, but I feel
like with God, anything possible, everything possible. I don't feel
like this happened, you know, for no reason. All this
is is of course, field to the fire, and under
no circumstance. We all know this sin to happen, but
we understand we on the bigger and better things. Tomorrow's

(01:04:35):
the day we're gonna be happy to regardless that isn't there.

Speaker 7 (01:04:43):
He made lemonade out of lemons. Okay, he did what
he had to do. He didn't go to the green
room and sit there. He knew there was a chance
that is gonna happen. So he sits there, his father's
gonna pump him up, and he's gonna go somewhere. God
forbid if you go Cleveland. I don't know what's in
store for but Broy, I'll set it to you.

Speaker 8 (01:05:04):
This is what I'll say about the situation. He didn't
get drafted in the first round. So is what it is.
I think that was. Let me start, let me start again.
At the end of the day, whoever would have taken
him in the first round would have been a square
trying to fit him, being.

Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
A circle into a square. I think this actually benefits him.
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
For what.

Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
Should he's gone in the first round. I'm not here
for that. I don't care.

Speaker 8 (01:05:31):
They made the decision that, hey, look, we don't with
thirty two teams made the decision that we don't see
him as our quarterback right now in this space first round.

Speaker 3 (01:05:38):
That's fine.

Speaker 8 (01:05:39):
They have been wrong before, most notably Lamar Jackson. They
say Lamar Jackson wasn't a good quarterback.

Speaker 4 (01:05:45):
Boy?

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
Were they wrong about that? They said Jalen Hurts wasn't
a quarterback?

Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
Boy?

Speaker 8 (01:05:48):
Have they been wrong about that? Dak Prescott almost proved
them wrong. Russell Wilson with in the second round. What
I'm saying is.

Speaker 5 (01:05:54):
Strange common thread between those five menu.

Speaker 8 (01:05:57):
I wasn't going there, but I appreciate that. I'm not
even going to go there using his black card.

Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
I'm not using that. At the end of the day.

Speaker 8 (01:06:03):
Whoever picks him up wants him is what I like
for this situation. Whatever team chooses door now at this point,
they have a place for him. They like him in
their office, and I think that's gonna benefit him because
he's gonna have a team that wants him, as opposed
to let's let the Cleveland Browns draft him at two
and they don't like him and it's not the right
system and they can't fit. Now he's another David Carr,

(01:06:24):
you know, an insert quarterback here who had failure because
they got drafted high. So he went the second round.
I think this is good for him, whatever team picks
him up, Like when Russell Wilson got drafted to Seattle.
I was there actually in twenty twelve. Best possible outcome.
You had wide receiver, Sydney writs Golden Tate, you have myself.
You had Marshawn Lynch, and he had a good offensive
line that worked well for him. So I think the

(01:06:46):
situation that he gets drafted in this is humbling. I
ain't gonna lie to you like it definitely is humbling.
And he definitely had to look those people in the face,
like Mats said, and say, hey, look thought we were
gonna get drafted.

Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
We should have.

Speaker 8 (01:06:57):
But wherever we go it'd be guys playing like that.
That's tough to do it twenty two like in the moment.
So you got to give kudos to that. But he's
absolutely correct. Whatever team takes him now is going to
be a team that wants him and has a team
of infrastructure to make him have the best possible success
that he can have. So I like this for him.
What a hope that he was the first round pick,
but he's not. This would be better for him. Jalen Hurts,

(01:07:18):
I bring that up. Nobody wanted Jalen Hurts in that top.
They were scared. You saw he did a national championship.
He's not the guy he got bench for Tua. In fact,
when he goes.

Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
To Oklahoma, he couldn't get it done. You put him
in the.

Speaker 8 (01:07:30):
Right system, you give him Shane Steichen, you give him
aj Brown, you give him Donovan Devonte Smith, you give
him this great offensive line, and you give him Sakwan
Barkley four years later looks like a different situation. So
I think that he will be a circle that some
circle team will drive.

Speaker 7 (01:07:46):
Pass I have a team that's a wild card.

Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
Okay, at this point, everybody's.

Speaker 5 (01:07:53):
The Rams traded out of the first round.

Speaker 7 (01:07:55):
Yeap, that set a QB.

Speaker 9 (01:07:58):
Yeah, I bet you.

Speaker 7 (01:08:00):
That kid, that kid in LA with Sean McVay and
Matthew Stafford. I couldn't think of a better spot for him. Correct,
Is there a better spot for him than the Rams?
Who do you want him to go to? Cleveland takes him?

Speaker 4 (01:08:16):
He's done.

Speaker 8 (01:08:17):
I want him to go to somebody. Obviously a passive situation,
you know. I love that style, whether Sean McVay, and
it started with Kyle Shanahan. I love Mike Shanahan, but
Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay, Kevin O'Connell, like, I love that.
I love that type of offense. So that would be
a great place. If he can get under Sean McVay,
that would be cool.

Speaker 7 (01:08:33):
That's a Giants pick. No, what's picked that they have?
They moved up in the second round. I think they
have one of the top three picks Atlanta.

Speaker 9 (01:08:40):
You're talking about, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
It might be hang on, hey, you find that at
the end of the day.

Speaker 8 (01:08:44):
I just wanted to be somewhere that they want him
to be there and he can have some success, and
I think that's what's gonna happen. I don't know what
that team is, but there's a I'm still kind of
like caught in the cross HEAs of what this situation is,
kind of just where he is as a player.

Speaker 7 (01:08:58):
Because you don't like the ways worked out, No, no, don't.
You don't like the talk, but not only the anonymous sources.

Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
But not only that.

Speaker 8 (01:09:07):
I'm just looking at how many quarterbacks have been drafted
with nothing known about him, and sometimes that's good. I'm
looking at how many quarterbacks have not worked out. How
many quarterbacks in the last five years that were drafted
in the first round are not with those teams that
we knew were question marks. Now, even Jackson Dart to
the New York Giants, I'm like, y'are that excited about
Jackson Dart?

Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
Well, you know that I am.

Speaker 12 (01:09:29):
But this is about Shaduur And you guys mentioned the
anonymous coach that just said that this is the worst
hire ever. His reaction and his poise throughout the night
were pretty contrary to the reports of what kind of
a young man this And he sure wasn't irrogant on

(01:09:51):
camera last night when he had an opportunity to lash
out and be upset and blame everybody else play the
card that you just mentioned. But there's two big things
about this kid that I see. One, he's gonna make
a lot of teams pay. I wouldn't mind seeming to
go to Chicago so he can beat out the catfish
and start Week one, but I'm not focused on where

(01:10:11):
he's going to end up.

Speaker 5 (01:10:13):
The second part that I'm focused on is the.

Speaker 12 (01:10:16):
Fact that this kid is paving the way so that
players like the five you mentioned will not have to
go through this because Bryce Underwood, We'll put all the
money that this kid's gonna accumulate through college and when
he steps up to the draft process.

Speaker 5 (01:10:36):
This is a paid young black man.

Speaker 12 (01:10:39):
And I'm sorry, but there are still some pearl clutching
men making decisions in the NFL, and they still are
gatekeeping it from these young black quarterbacks. I believe that,
and I know some of you guys wanted to see
me hear me play the race card, but I truly
believe that. And what Shadur is going to do is
he's going to silence the critics. He's going to be
a very quarterback in this league. Maybe not a top

(01:11:01):
eight guy, but certainly a top eighteen guy. And at
this point NFL execs are going to have to get
used to a confident young black man that is a
millionaire and not completely dependent on the team that drafts
him to make him rich.

Speaker 8 (01:11:19):
Yeah, they thought that way. Cam new might still be
in league mass I'll ask your question, is it that
they don't want to deal with Dion Sanders? Could that
be a point because if you draft Shador Sanders, guess
who's coming with him. Yeah, it's the hat, it's the glasses,
it's the mouth, it's Colorado Buffalo's, it's online, it's comments.
He may make a comment about your coach, no doubt.
He may make a comment about your GM. He may

(01:11:40):
comment on the wide receivers.

Speaker 3 (01:11:42):
That is a great part. Is that part of it?

Speaker 7 (01:11:44):
Yeah? I think it's a whole package. But you know
what Jacksonville is gonna have to put up with Dion
Travis Hunters like his son. So yeah, it's you. You
draft the Dion guy, you're gonna get Dion pushback. Yeah,
that's what you're gonna get. But this kid is a
multi millionaire ready, and maybe that's what turned some teams off.

(01:12:05):
And I know everyone's getting paid now and then I
l but he's probably more rich than half the coaches
that are drafted. Real talk right, think.

Speaker 8 (01:12:15):
About it, speaking of those kids that have money. Man,
prayers up to uh Gilbert Arena's son he was in. Yeah,
prayers up for him, speaking of young individual.

Speaker 7 (01:12:27):
God bless him. Accident.

Speaker 8 (01:12:29):
All right, Look, I just had to get some sit
conversation out there for a quick second.

Speaker 4 (01:12:32):
It was good.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
Let's let's talk about you.

Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
I do want to get back to the line I want.
I don't want to make.

Speaker 12 (01:12:37):
This a black Okay, Well, I just wanted to talk
about young men with money. And this is an anecdote
here that maybe I should save for when we get
to the Pistons and save when we Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:12:48):
I forget it though.

Speaker 12 (01:12:49):
All right, right, right, you know what's written, Hey man,
this story, let me spit it back to the lines.

Speaker 7 (01:12:56):
We'll go back to Brad Holmes who spoke yesterday. By
the way, Tyler will Williams is speaking now at Alan Park. Uh,
we'll get that sound for you have your weight coming
up after us, don't grab it too. Uh So Brad
Holmes last night, they of course the questions come out.
What's the first question they're gonna ask him? The first
question I asked him is why didn't you draft and

(01:13:17):
edge rusher? Brad.

Speaker 14 (01:13:21):
We'll just kind of see I have some ideas in
mind already, you know, and again I'm not saying it's
gonna be for that specific position, but it's like I
tell you guys all the time, we're not going to
reach for a position. You know, the player has to
be able to be a productive player that plays that position.
But yeah, there's still some guys left out there already,

(01:13:42):
got some ideas brewing. You know, it might be just
stay impatient, it might be going up. But we just
got to see how to sing for Pete. Let's put
up the edge rushers. When you get a minute, the
ones that are remaining tonight, we'll read those. Bray can
answer why didn't they take an edge rusher?

Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
Uh, Let's see who we have left?

Speaker 14 (01:14:02):
We have.

Speaker 8 (01:14:04):
Roku is the guy that if they take one today,
excuse if they take one to day, I think it
will be shot donman Aku out of Boston College.

Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
But Jordan branch Oregon J two J T T please
to Mala sounds good. Another polities named Nick skirtin Landon
Jackson and Josiah Stewart out of Michigan.

Speaker 5 (01:14:24):
Would you have liked any of them above, Tyleek.

Speaker 3 (01:14:30):
I don't like any of them above. Okay, Zion, I mean,
excuse Zion Zadarius Okay, realistically, and you know, we keep
bringing that up like that's one thing that we've talked
about the last three weeks.

Speaker 8 (01:14:42):
They're gonna bring him back. You see him floating around
the Pistons games. And that's not just because he's eating
cash down. That's because he's home. That's because he feels
like he's That's because the conversation was had. Hey, you
know what, Look, we want to bring you back. We
want to see how this draft thing plays out. But
that's why he hasn't gone anywhere. Agent isn't toil fucking anybody.
He's gonna be here. So I think with that draft pick,

(01:15:03):
I don't think they get a rush. I don't think
they get a edge rusher.

Speaker 5 (01:15:06):
Honestly, it's a it's a Will Johnson.

Speaker 12 (01:15:08):
It's a fan fascination thing when it comes down to
the edge.

Speaker 5 (01:15:12):
I was breaking it down. I think I mentioned it
earlier in the show.

Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
You know why that is?

Speaker 8 (01:15:16):
Who's our biggest rival for the last two years, it's
been Eagles in the forty nine ers.

Speaker 3 (01:15:19):
What have both those teams done well over the last
the QB rush the QB.

Speaker 12 (01:15:27):
But if you look at the Super Bowl winners this century,
they don't have Miles Garrett on him.

Speaker 5 (01:15:33):
They don't have JJ wae to Patrick mahomes well. And realistically,
look at you Christ Jones, look at the total one guy.

Speaker 12 (01:15:41):
They typically strong guy, but if you look at it,
they don't have these massive sack totals from two dominant edges.
And I think that Lions fans have just been absolutely
just infatuated with getting an edge ever since the day
that Hutch went down. I really wish we would have

(01:16:02):
had him all season so that this wasn't such a
fixation for Lions fans. All you have to do is
add to the defense as a whole. Yes, you got
to get to the quarterback, but we already had guys.

Speaker 5 (01:16:13):
On this team in week one that can get to
the quarterback. It was all the weeks after that that
we kept losing them.

Speaker 8 (01:16:19):
But I don't think that's fair to the fans that
have watched what the Lions have done over the last
four years, soon to be five years. They hurry the quarterback,
they don't get to the quarterback. So if you're talking
about the last four years, where.

Speaker 5 (01:16:29):
That's why Terran can't keep staying with his people, staying
with the receivers.

Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
If you had it, you only have so long as
you're absolutely correct. So the hurries while they're up, the
sacks totals are not up. So when you're talking about
a team that's replacing, not replacing, they're bringing back four
players that were injured on that same defensive line they
were talking about. You can kind of see how the
fan base is clamory at a defensive lineman, at an
edge rusher because they're like, we need the quarterback on

(01:16:55):
the ground.

Speaker 7 (01:16:56):
Answer how many teams are in the NFL thirty two
we finished twenty in rushing the quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:17:01):
And the year before that it was lower, and the
year before that it was lower.

Speaker 7 (01:17:04):
So that's why, and it's.

Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
Fair, it's a fair Both conversations are fair. Your conversation
is fair. But everybody, including myself that looks at the
defensive line, looks at the injuries, looks at them getting
close but yet not so Cigar, what are you going
to do?

Speaker 4 (01:17:20):
So?

Speaker 3 (01:17:20):
I think it's fair on both ends.

Speaker 12 (01:17:22):
I just I didn't love the guys after Derek Harmon,
everybody that's infatuated with the Mike Greens and even the
Shamar Stewart.

Speaker 5 (01:17:29):
The guy had four and a half sacks his entire
college career.

Speaker 7 (01:17:32):
Mike Green didn't have the crap hanging over his head.
You don't like him?

Speaker 5 (01:17:36):
Oh, I I don't mind him at all. But I
mind him.

Speaker 12 (01:17:39):
I don't think that he has the impact that somebody
in the indis.

Speaker 3 (01:17:44):
Competition level for him. That that worries you playing at
Marshall really isn't.

Speaker 12 (01:17:48):
I truly believe that the group of defensive tackles in
the second half of this draft were superior to the
edge guys that were going to be left over.

Speaker 5 (01:17:57):
Period.

Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
Fair.

Speaker 7 (01:17:59):
Now, there was a guy we were talking about for
a long time. His name is Jamison Williams.

Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
Who is that?

Speaker 7 (01:18:04):
Yesterday we showed you Jamison Williams working out at Allen
Park with a smile on his face last night. Of course, Hey, Brad,
what's the scoop on Jamison Williams? Are you gonna trade him?
There you go, Jameson Williams.

Speaker 12 (01:18:19):
Did you made for taking any calls at him money.

Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
Versus versus his trade the other day?

Speaker 18 (01:18:23):
That sort of mess him as.

Speaker 4 (01:18:24):
The guy that couldn't traded interact.

Speaker 14 (01:18:26):
No, No, that that's something that we have never entertained.
I don't know where that that report came from, but
that's not a conversation that me and Dan has ever had.

Speaker 8 (01:18:41):
This is my This is my version for the fans
of me and Ryan and you warning Miles Gear.

Speaker 3 (01:18:49):
This is my because everybody looked at me and told
me it was crazy.

Speaker 8 (01:18:51):
Even the guy sitting to my left and I'm sitting
to his right set no, why.

Speaker 3 (01:18:55):
Do you got?

Speaker 8 (01:18:57):
But then on the flip side, as it comes down
to this, it's the same thing.

Speaker 3 (01:19:03):
What did he say? Just them mas?

Speaker 7 (01:19:05):
He never even thought about it.

Speaker 8 (01:19:07):
And when I said that you never should try Jamison Willims,
everybody looked at me, Oh, well he does this off
the field. He does that off the field. Yeah he's
not haven't even really that good? I think we can
do better.

Speaker 4 (01:19:17):
Yeah you can.

Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
The receivers are a dime.

Speaker 7 (01:19:19):
A dozen speed kills speak.

Speaker 8 (01:19:20):
That's what they told me. They told me receivers of diamond's.
And now I look like the dumb guy. This is
my version for the fans. I don't know how you
would have thought it was okay to get rid of
Jamison Williams.

Speaker 3 (01:19:28):
I just don't. I just don't.

Speaker 8 (01:19:30):
And I'm glad Brad backed me and them up, just
like I don't know why we would have four God,
but how mortgage.

Speaker 3 (01:19:36):
The future for one player? Feel the same way?

Speaker 4 (01:19:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:19:40):
Got nothing for you?

Speaker 7 (01:19:41):
How about this? Right after that, the Lions put out
a press release that they have signed the fifty year
options on both Aiden Hutchinson and Jamison Williams. There they go.
Aiden Hutchinson picked himself up some nice change. Uh. He
gets twenty point eighty six million JAMO fifteen and a
half million dollars guaranteed money. So you got them through

(01:20:04):
the five years. And like we told you, they weren't
going to renegotiate and give them a new deal because
they paid Kirby. And we'll hear from Kirby in just
a few minutes. You also hear from Talik Williams's for
a few minutes, we are that's rocking, and we're loaded
and this is your Detroit Lions team.

Speaker 4 (01:20:19):
Guys.

Speaker 7 (01:20:19):
They are loaded for Bear, literally for Bear and Viking
and Packer and I'm ready to go man. Round two
starts tonight. I love it. I love Round two and three.
I absolutely love Round two and three.

Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
Had a boy and this is great. Now you love
that they saved money by spending money. I know that
sounds crazy, right, but.

Speaker 7 (01:20:39):
You did the ops off there.

Speaker 8 (01:20:40):
Guys got the optional eight and huts and you don't
need to worry about Jami for another two years now,
so this is good.

Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
And then you Kirby. Kirby's up. Time to get paid.

Speaker 8 (01:20:49):
But it is what happens when your team drafts good
players that turn into Pro Bowls, that turn into good
play great players.

Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
You got have to spend some cheese.

Speaker 12 (01:20:58):
It's really unfortunate what we do to some of these
young athletes. J Mo specifically, this is a guy that
is you know, he's a lightning rod here in Detroit,
very polarizing player, but people absolutely love him. Where the
hell did this story come from? How did it get
to get so big with absolutely no support from the

(01:21:22):
Lions actual franchise.

Speaker 5 (01:21:24):
Let's talk to the point where to the point where a.

Speaker 12 (01:21:27):
Late night text after a couple of beers maybe and
a buddy of him, a buddy of his, might have
you know, screwed him over and now he's.

Speaker 5 (01:21:35):
Just tweeting and it's a national story.

Speaker 12 (01:21:38):
Nobody knows whether he was following the Lions before they
looked and saw that he wasn't following the Lions. And
then the story comes out later that he never was
following the Lions. And on the heels of the Shadour conversation,
this is a guy that had his future possibly ripped
from him just from one anonymous quote. And it's it's

(01:22:00):
such a crazy snowball effect.

Speaker 5 (01:22:02):
These days with social media, sometimes we.

Speaker 12 (01:22:05):
Lose track of that these kids are twenty two, twenty one,
twenty three, twenty four years old.

Speaker 7 (01:22:10):
Yeah, but they're the ones that are doing it. They're
the ones that are all.

Speaker 5 (01:22:13):
Jamo did nothing really to deserve that.

Speaker 7 (01:22:16):
There there were other twenty two year olds that threw
stuff out there. I can guarantee you that's true. That
by the way the Giants went and did when they
signed up dual Carter. Last night they drafted up due Carter.
They signed the fifty year option to kvon Thibodeau. Remember
he was gonna get traded too. Everyone's gonna get traded.
Trade them, trade them all. Hey, I got some sound
from our new number one draft pick, TYLERK Williams Pete. Yeah,

(01:22:38):
take us through them. You gonna throw them out there
for us, My friend, you.

Speaker 9 (01:22:41):
Got Well, i'll tell you what. We're gonna start work
right now.

Speaker 11 (01:22:44):
The Lions have just come down with some new te
leak Williams and here he is. I'm getting the call
from Brad Olmes.

Speaker 22 (01:22:50):
He told me, if I'm there, you know, it's the
possibility are gonna take me. So have my phone right
next to me, you know, ringer on all the way up,
kept checking it, you know, as nervous.

Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
You know.

Speaker 22 (01:23:00):
But when I got that call, it was just, you know,
just I don't know how to describe it, the feeling
you get, like that rush you get of like answering
that call, Like it's I don't think nothing compares to it,
from being honest, but it was a great feeling, you know.
Just got to spend it with my family, my friends,
and just enjoyed the moment.

Speaker 8 (01:23:19):
Yeah, it seems like when everybody comes to Detroit and
we've been seeing this now for about three years, they're excited.

Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
Yeah, they're extremely excited. You see the success you see
and it's young.

Speaker 8 (01:23:26):
I think that's the thing that when you get drafted
to the Lions right now, Mads. You saw with Jamiir Gill,
you saw Brian Branch, you saw last year, it's the
excitement of something new. Like even the Lions are an
old team, what they're doing, this is a four year run.
This is something new, and I think people like being
a part of something new. I remember when I went
to Seattle and in twenty twelve, I was excited to

(01:23:48):
be there. Mar uniforms were amazing. That's when they came
out with those uniforms. Marshan Lynch was two years removed
from the infamous run in the playoffs on the Saints.

Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
It was new energy, new young quarterback. I was excited
to be here.

Speaker 8 (01:24:01):
I think that's what you see out of tu Leake
Washington and these players at are draft by the Alliance
also excuse me, Tule Williams, but also they're excited because
of the coaching staff. They're excited to play for Dan
Campbell in Tleak. He'll be excited to play for Kelvin Sheppard.
Here's his h his conversation on meeting Kelvin Shepard, his
new defensive coordinator coach.

Speaker 22 (01:24:19):
He's just met him and I already love him. He's
a high energy guy. He you know, he sells me
how much he loves my game and how I play,
how I can help the team, And you know, you
need a guy like that in your corner, I think,
and just I'm ready to you know, get the playbook
and all that and just learn under him and how
he coaches and how he runs his defense. I think
I can help it a major way. So he's a

(01:24:41):
great guy.

Speaker 8 (01:24:42):
Though, Mas, I'm coming to you. What do you see
from Tuleite and Kelvin Shepard. What is this partnership going
to bring the Detroit Lions.

Speaker 7 (01:24:49):
Hey, it's just another add on to it. Already terrific
defense as long as they're healthy the defense. I think
they're going back to defense again tonight. Calvin Shepherd, he
learned so much from Aaron Glenn and we saw him
on Hard Knocks. Remember he was gonna cut his hair,
he was gonna cut his brains. And Dan Campbell said
what to him? He said, no, I want you to

(01:25:12):
be you. You be you. You don't think people hear
about this team. You don't think people want to come
play for a team that lets you be yourself, respects you.
And all these guys, all these guys on this team.
I'm not gonna say choir boys, but you know what,
they walk the straight and narrow. They are in the

(01:25:34):
Lions zone. If you're coming to the Lions, they expect
you to be a certain way. Last night I saw
Tyler Williams. He had his he had the beanie on
the Ohio State beanie. What do you got today? He's
got his firsh Detroit Lions beanie on. People want to
be here. This is the new Dallas Cowboys. Let's say,
remember when you used to get drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.

(01:25:55):
You'd be like, oh my god, we're going to America's team.
We already told you we took that Moniker. Sure we
slipped a little last year when we lost to Washington,
no question about it. I think they get it back
this year, and I think they're destined to go far
this year. I really do.

Speaker 8 (01:26:13):
What is far all the way all the way, all
the way, all the way, they go all the way.
Then in twenty twenty four, you really can start to
use the excuse because right now, amen, excuses are like aos.
Everyone has us right.

Speaker 3 (01:26:26):
But if you bring this team back in twenty twenty
five and it does what Brad Holmes thought it does,
if it does what Dan Campbell thought it was, and
they get to where they were gonna go and they win,
see now you can say, yeah, we had twenty five
injure players.

Speaker 7 (01:26:37):
Damn right, and they won fifteen games.

Speaker 8 (01:26:40):
That's how excuses work. Though you gotta win it all
to use this, yes, use you gotta win it.

Speaker 7 (01:26:44):
Because they took a step back. Although they won fifteen games,
they did not win a playoff game. I know Stick
says they won the first round because they didn't play
in it, But they did not win a playoff game,
and they look bad in that game as well.

Speaker 12 (01:26:57):
Is anything short of an appearance in a Super Bowl
failure for this team.

Speaker 7 (01:27:03):
NFC championship and they lose that. If they lose it,
it's not I don't, I don't, it's not a failure season.
That means to me, you're still moving forward.

Speaker 8 (01:27:11):
So if if the Eagles were to beat the Lions
in the NFC Championship in overtime.

Speaker 3 (01:27:17):
You know, last second field goal, that's not.

Speaker 7 (01:27:19):
That's not a failure. If you get your doors blowed off,
that's another story. We know, you know they're gonna rush
the quarterback, so you better protect them. So you'll know
you're getting old lineman tonight.

Speaker 8 (01:27:30):
As well, and maybe that's what they need. There are
some aging linemen on this staff, the center, the left tackle.
Talk about Frank rag Now as well as Taylor Deck.
Of those guys are getting noted. They let's take a
quick commercial break, let's come back.

Speaker 3 (01:27:43):
Get up the draft babe going Hey, listen, god, there
will be more draft coverage than we were here from
Mark White and said, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:27:49):
Ninety one dollars short of the huge, huge goal.

Speaker 12 (01:27:53):

Everyone? The dollar for every app for for Bray Here
we go, Dexter James, Happy Friday to you Wall. Do
you think we should go for an old lineman in
round two or possibly trade up to get you know what?
And Ed? Shall we let Brad cook? We told you yes,
let him cook. Christopher Evans, let Casey Rodgers coach him
up about it? Inkster two La. Do the Lions go

(01:32:31):
after a defensive end of the draft or do they
sign someone who might get cut after MIDI camp Burn
I watched ty Leek's interview from before the national championship.
In hindsight, he's the most obvious Dan Campbell guy ever.
He is a monster. And Dante one fifty one. I
really love to pick and if the Steelers are gonna
roll with Rudolph and maybe a Roger a quarterback, the

(01:32:52):
Steelers are gonna steal as usual. And I did like
the Jets pickup just to let you know Bray he
was the kid, the offensive lineman from Missouri Rando Smalls.
Brad will get three picks in the second wide out
offensive lineman and Stewart Jayden Higgins poor forvour Michael da Frees.
This draft isn't star studded, but it's got contributors. Believe

(01:33:15):
Brad's best work will be done tonight and Saturday. Funny Boy, Roddy,
let's go Vikings, Come on, Roddy and Jared Sayers. Our
good friend out in Grand Rapids. He's our Grand Valley guy.
God bless you. Just want to say thank you for
doing the show. My dad passed away last Thursday. Our

(01:33:35):
faith allows me to know he's in a better place
and we will see him again. I get a daily
escape listening to you guys, praying God provides for mom's future.
We're all with you, Jared Gods speaking, We're all praying
for you. Michael Weary says, Brad has been the GM.
How many first round picks have been a bust? Zero
is the answer? And Dante well, he said that one

(01:33:56):
already to Warren Moon is giving up his number one
to cam Ward R. J. Graham. Why is answer not
at the Pistons games, heckling the enemy's bench. The Pistons
needs you. Everyone needs you to yell at the Knicks.
If you were at that game last night, loud and proud.
They were f ewing Jalen Brunson on every time he touched.

Speaker 12 (01:34:18):
The ball, and they say that I'm worth two points
at every game that I'm at.

Speaker 7 (01:34:23):
There would have been overtime this, sir, Jason Kenyon, I
gave spins away earlier this week. We remember he's like,
I want that d mac rookie. How about it? Just
need Billy Barry and Malcolm to sign it. He's got
that jacket, Malcolm the number one utility team and give
him his money and made in the USA. F Chris
rock Stiller, Spike, Jalen kat and New York. How about it?

(01:34:46):
Did you see by the way last night. Ben Stiller
and Chalomy, Timothy Shalomy, we're both at the game Nick
fans Timothy Shalomy obviously the in the great movie about Bob.

Speaker 3 (01:35:00):
Dylan a little the unknown.

Speaker 7 (01:35:03):
What's that saying?

Speaker 9 (01:35:04):
I can't it's from Ben Stiller.

Speaker 11 (01:35:05):
He says, incredible energy and volume in that arena, and
so quiet whenever Knicks would score. The fans in Detroit
are locked in. Never heard it so loud as when
they were in the lead. Nick's being able to stay
ahead and most of the game was so important to
keep the crowd noise down.

Speaker 9 (01:35:22):
Much respect from Ben Stiller.

Speaker 7 (01:35:23):
That's off to the l c Ali.

Speaker 3 (01:35:25):
Been still I don't care.

Speaker 4 (01:35:34):
So what there you go.

Speaker 1 (01:35:35):
Yeah, don't touch it from now on.

Speaker 3 (01:35:39):
That's going on. Just say it out loud.

Speaker 9 (01:35:40):
No, we're trying to figure it out.

Speaker 8 (01:35:43):
But we all can hear. So just us up with
the microphone. Notice, run the video last night if you can't.
Pete met the Pizzons game.

Speaker 9 (01:35:51):
Oh you and the Pistons game got you? My friend?

Speaker 8 (01:35:52):
Hang on, Ah, it's actually cool, big, which was Tim
Senior celebrating Tim Junior.

Speaker 3 (01:36:06):
I thought that was pretty cool.

Speaker 5 (01:36:07):
Tim Junior was on fire in the first quarter, Yes.

Speaker 9 (01:36:12):
And then the other one didn't have any sound. Bright,
it didn't come with sound.

Speaker 7 (01:36:15):
That's fine.

Speaker 3 (01:36:18):
Shot of chev chef geeche Hey.

Speaker 7 (01:36:20):
They played, they played the final countdown last night. Guy.
It was off the hook and you know who was
on the mic and he was fantastic as usual, fantastic Mason.
John Mason is second to and I'll tell you Kim
wonderful national anthem, smooth, hadful. I think it was lip sync,

(01:36:41):
but it was wonderful. I'm pretty sure it sounded too perfect.

Speaker 3 (01:36:46):
It had a level of nineteen eighty four All Star.
It was beautiful Marvin Gaye.

Speaker 7 (01:36:50):
Beautiful, very too, very Yeah, well that's off.

Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
And I was like, who's singing the national anthem? I'm
like I was facing the wrong way.

Speaker 8 (01:36:57):
Everybody that was in that the the on court, sweet things,
they're all facing the crowd.

Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
At the end, I was like, oh, that's Kim.

Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:37:05):
It was great.

Speaker 3 (01:37:06):
It was good, really good. Maybe want to go to
a concert. I've seen him and concert he's amazing. But
was it was it what you want? How do I explay?
Because it was amazing and he is that's what I want?

Speaker 8 (01:37:18):
Okay, that's what Because I'm like do you want do
you want Kim your smooth neo soul single, do you
want like some energy?

Speaker 4 (01:37:25):
No?

Speaker 7 (01:37:26):
I love?

Speaker 10 (01:37:26):
Yeah, it depends on to get it going at the
first going and the person. It depends on what you
feel like, like if the RB concerts are sitting down
his chill more relaxed.

Speaker 7 (01:37:35):
It was beautiful.

Speaker 3 (01:37:36):
Sometimes this is.

Speaker 8 (01:37:38):
In the first five minutes, had like a bunch of
missus and.

Speaker 7 (01:37:42):
Got you the game.

Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
I'm talking about for the game, not the crowd I'm
talking about.

Speaker 7 (01:37:47):
But you can't blame on that because after the national
anthem or the intros, it's is true.

Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
True with the final countdown and they did win the tip,
so there you go.

Speaker 7 (01:37:55):
They did. They just couldn't hit a basket the first
three minutes of that game got that eight to one.
So many hills to climb last night, so many but
before we you know it's.

Speaker 4 (01:38:07):
It is what it is.

Speaker 7 (01:38:08):
Football, Back to football, guys.

Speaker 12 (01:38:12):
Wait, wait a second, because I know we're going to
finish out on it. I have to tell this story
about the next Yeah, because yesterday a few Knicks rolled
into Birmingham Roast, which we share space once here right now, okay,
well let me tell you about Landri Schmett campaign and

(01:38:33):
Josh Hart who all stopped in here and said, we
only have eleven minutes until we can get on the bus.

Speaker 5 (01:38:42):
Do you think you can get us out of here?
We can't miss our bus.

Speaker 12 (01:38:44):
And of course the amazing staff were at Birmingham roast
led by our friend Lydia made that happen. But would
you believe they stiffed them and left no tip? That
New York money doesn't work here?

Speaker 7 (01:39:02):
Disgusting.

Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
I've heard that about basketball players. I heard they're not
tip is, but I don't want to classify them all
because I know some good basketball player as a tip.
But that stinks.

Speaker 8 (01:39:13):
That's bad especially I think what makes it so bad
is that now everybody has access to like what you
guys make, Like you got guys that are twelve men
on the bench.

Speaker 7 (01:39:23):
The richest sport, yeah, the richest sport.

Speaker 23 (01:39:27):
Besides, it's not just because the baseball is like a
super one percent right.

Speaker 8 (01:39:33):
Yes, okay, basketball as a whole it is called baseball,
like they are about four players in baseball.

Speaker 3 (01:39:39):
But outside of that basketball, no doubt.

Speaker 5 (01:39:43):
Josh Hurt's net worth is estimated to be around twelve
million dollars.

Speaker 7 (01:39:49):
Couldn't have thrown them a twenty or just anthing Bucks
also to.

Speaker 3 (01:39:56):
Like, you have credit card everywhere, you have a phone,
Everything is a quick tap.

Speaker 12 (01:40:00):
Everything is a quick and in fact, he had to
go out of his way to not to decline.

Speaker 7 (01:40:07):
I can't really they gotta check that. Are you sure that?

Speaker 4 (01:40:10):
I know?

Speaker 7 (01:40:11):
I know they told me it can't be true.

Speaker 9 (01:40:13):
It apparently is.

Speaker 5 (01:40:16):
We're talking about lydia right now.

Speaker 7 (01:40:18):
But honest wonder that has nothing to do with it.
But she was like, well, maybe we have to go
back and look and see.

Speaker 5 (01:40:25):
But that's just because she's so nice.

Speaker 9 (01:40:27):
Exactly what.

Speaker 7 (01:40:36):
Temporarily leaving esp I hate Can you read that? Yeah?
I can read all right, thank you.

Speaker 8 (01:40:42):
My statement is found here and this is the truth.
The relationship in question was one hundred percent consensual at
this juncture. I am electing to step aside temporary. I'm
electing to step aside temporarily from my ESPN duties. I
will be devoting this time to my family. You should
have been doing that in the first place, and repining
and dialing with these false and disruptive allegations set against me.
I plan to return to ESPN at the start of

(01:41:05):
the NFL preseason, so that's about half five months. I
sincerely appreciate the overwhelming and ongoing support I have received
from my family, my fans, my friends, and my colleagues.
And this is ESPN has released a statement on Shannon Sharp.
This is a serious situation, and we agree with Shannon's
decisions to stop.

Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
Basically in so many words that you know what, do
not to come to sping this day. His job won't
gonna be available.

Speaker 7 (01:41:37):
Go to jail, do not pass, go, do not collect, collect.

Speaker 3 (01:41:42):
He won't be going to jail, but he.

Speaker 7 (01:41:44):
Wanted to monopoly.

Speaker 8 (01:41:46):
I know he won't be going back to Peer thirty
nine or whoever it is. They shoot out of it.
It's just a dumb situation that he put itself in.

Speaker 3 (01:41:53):
Cat william You know what, he should have been listening
to the people that he had on the show, because
you come over there and stop dating Kat Williams told
you that same thing. Stop dating a little.

Speaker 1 (01:42:05):
Young white girl.

Speaker 23 (01:42:06):
Yeah yeah, MONI looked them da in the face, pointed
to him and said, look, this is gonna be bad
for you.

Speaker 3 (01:42:12):
My grandma. You said it's a long time and it's
still true. You make your bed.

Speaker 7 (01:42:16):
You are lying.

Speaker 23 (01:42:18):
Again, like I said yesterday, get you a good woman,
go start your family and stay out of the way.

Speaker 4 (01:42:24):
Man.

Speaker 7 (01:42:24):
I just want to say, good advice the only one thing.
And I'm not I'm not defending what he's done. We
are weak, man, boys are weak. They are we are
We're weak, that's all.

Speaker 4 (01:42:42):
I guess.

Speaker 9 (01:42:42):
The man's fifty six.

Speaker 7 (01:42:44):
I don't care how old, y'all.

Speaker 5 (01:42:46):
No, no, no, no, no, no, a weakness.

Speaker 9 (01:42:50):
There you go, thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:42:51):
Yeah, I want what I'm saying. He's in shape, Miamy.
He's still fifty seven, He's still okay.

Speaker 8 (01:42:56):
In that case, then Shannon Sharp can't come on this
desk whether he was a Fox in ESPN and talk
to these young kids the way he does.

Speaker 3 (01:43:04):
How he talked to the young player, Man, you stupid

Detroit Versus Everybody and Woodward Sports U D D E
A S SBT MAILEMN mass trivia. In the history of
the NFL Draft, what college team has the most players

(01:50:17):
taken in the first round of the same year. Honestly curious,
I don't know. I went to AI. Yeah, I want
to see if in the history of the NFL Draft,
what college team has had the most players taken in
the first round of the same year. Now, I misunderstood it,
I said, I put I put it in an Osu
Osu popped up on But they met total ninety one

(01:50:41):
draft picks they've had in the first round. But I
didn't check in one year in the history. Yeah, in
one year, like Michigan had three this year.

Speaker 8 (01:50:48):
Yeah, and history is Notre Dame. But in one round
it would be University of Miami. Really and in one year, yeah,
in two thousand and one Miami had.

Speaker 7 (01:50:57):
And a I said, Ohio State has the most. Number one.

Speaker 5 (01:50:59):
You not trust Aika.

Speaker 7 (01:51:03):
That's why I said statistics. That's why I said, Ai'll
be I don't know he is.

Speaker 8 (01:51:07):
But if I'm not, it's legitimately Notre Dame or go
with you, it Snow Dame Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (01:51:12):
But in terms of one years.

Speaker 7 (01:51:14):
Middle aged sneaker Chick, did you get in? Yes, I'm back.
I hope today is my day. It's been a fun week.
Good luck everybody that's edited. Love you guys, We love
you too, Sneaker Chicken, we love you too. Dante Easter
to La got in again.

Speaker 12 (01:51:32):

as well as its offensive.

Speaker 12 (01:52:01):

this in to allow me that that fun moment. But
if you want, let's wait while we wait three more
minutes to spin the wheel and open this pack, let's
all throw out our prediction for what the Lions do tonight.

Speaker 9 (01:52:19):
Sounds good.

Speaker 5 (01:52:20):
You got somebody in mind.

Speaker 8 (01:52:21):
I have I do not have a potential player in mind.
We know that Brad Holmes. You never know what he's
going to do. You don't know what, so I don't
want to come up with a player. I think they
can make a move here. I think they will drive.

Speaker 24 (01:52:35):
An offensive line I agree, but I maybe two players
if there's going to be a trade out of these
guys this week, and I think it's for JTT to
him alone from Ohio State University, and that would be
two guys that have worked together to be able to
come in and just drive the depth here.

Speaker 12 (01:52:53):
But I think everybody in the chat, and you hit
it on the head, we're going to see some offensive line,
but we're going to see some defensive line.

Speaker 3 (01:52:59):
I think I like you. I like it. I'm with you, man,
I'm cool.
