I cannot wait to get down here. I wish the

Speaker 6 (01:42):
This team made you love basketball again?

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Is that what you're saying. I told you that in
the beginning of the year. I fell in love with
this team. I love this team.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
I had a conversations about this team. I went to
that Mas game. I never looked back, and neither did you.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
But it's very, very hard.

Speaker 10 (02:04):
But answer said something really really good.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
When I first came in, I said, you're ready for it?

Speaker 11 (02:07):
Not. He said, no, I'm ready for Saturday already.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Game seven.

Speaker 1 (02:10):

Speaker 10 (02:35):
It's over to night, bry. Let's do it up, baby.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
I'm extremely excited about tonight.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Man.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Put together hell of the show for you Toime mas away,
did It's gonna be fun with?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Welcome in Greg.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Kelser around two thirty Michigan State's own Detroit Pistons draft pick.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Once upon a time? Did he go to school Michigan State?
He was in Michigan State.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
Michigan State today. By the way, we will.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Get into that. Excited for this Pistons games. Did you
see me see me rocking? Shout out to John you
you are rocking that school.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Throw the talent, That's what I was John was my
brother as well.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
But before we get into the dichatomy of the game
and breaking down the game, I'm just excited that there's
a Game six, Excited that the city, the fan base,
that we get the witness of Game six, a Game
six in which they had to fight, claw and scrape
in game five to win an MSG, and now.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
They're coming home to get that love.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I started thinking it back, like, what are the game
six out of Pistons won one of the games? Game
six at the Palace?

Speaker 3 (03:35):
What was that like?

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Game six at the Silver Dumk. So I got a
list of a couple of Game six wins that that
the Detroit Pistons has. Do we have that, Peter, Ye?

Speaker 10 (03:43):
Let me get that one found for you. I got
at my friend mine guy.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
So here's a couple of notable Game sixes in Detroit
Pistons history running for me.

Speaker 10 (03:52):
Pete, hang on with my friend hang on, buddy, Pete.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
You got that old school, tell ugly logo up there.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
You got the old school too.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
It kind of represents the newer Pistons, if you will
a little bit, because that's when I first started rocking
with k when they bought the moto jersey, back the
moto jersey.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
So the game?

Speaker 10 (04:08):
What were the games you're looking for? My friend, Brelyn,
Here we go. Nineteen eighty eight, nineteen eighty eight, got.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Eastern Conference Finals? You ready for the excuse me? Eastern
Conference price? Reverend Math Do you remember that? Do you
remember happening in eighty.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Eight, six eighty eight, Game six, I do.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Not Detroit Pistons, Heavin McHale shaking hands.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
No, no, no, no, no, nineteen eighty eight, No, no,
I got it.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
I got a piece.

Speaker 10 (04:31):
Oh I'm sorry brailing that nineteen eighty eight.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
He would go on to be the greatest player of
all time.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Oh it's Michael eighty eight.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Nineteen eighty Pistons defeated the Bulls one o two to
ninety five at the Palace.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Sending them on their mighty way.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Nineteen eighty nine, Game six, Eastern Conference Finals.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Who was that?

Speaker 5 (04:53):
I was Bulls?

Speaker 3 (04:54):
There it is Tom Masway. Do you remember that? Eighty
nine Bulls?

Speaker 4 (04:57):
This will be the last time that the Pistons would
indeed beat the Bulls once again. It was four to
two Pistons one game six, eighty six to eighty.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
I remember when the scores were like that back in
the day. Two thousand and four.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
Now, wait a second.

Speaker 6 (05:11):
The eighty Eightiestern Conference Finals were the Pistons versus the Celtics,
and Game six is when we won it, and uh yeah,
we won ninety five to ninety and that's.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
When Michale came and shook hands.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
I like, I got a little scared with my own
breakipedia in my brain because that image stuck in my head.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
Bird got out of there.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
But Michale, Michale walking.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Through half of this, the infamous Isaiah grab.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
He said, don't just be happy to get there, make
sure you go and win.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
The NBA had other ideas.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
I think I might have been eighty seven, might have
been off one. But my apology two thousand and four
time as well.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
Off that team.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Is that your favorite Pistons team.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
To go out? God? Yes, I love that because it
remind me of seventy three Nicks. Such a team.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Do you remember who it was at Eastern Conference Finals?

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Was that the Pacers?

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, there you go? The Indian?

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Was that the block?

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Yeah, they shown Prince Block. It was that was game
before Prince was Game five exactly. And then two thousand
and six, I believe the last time the Pences won
the games. You know who that was against.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
It wasn't the Spurs.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
It was about somebody that we will talk about today
because he found an early exit the Cab playoffs. Last
night it was Lebron James and the Cab Bye bye,
but extremely excited.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
I think it's flopping right now as we speak. Finished
sleep fish for.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Sure, time as away.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
You brought it up. I know you want to talk
about it. Lebron James.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
For one, they get beat by the Minnesota Timberwoldward two, three,
proving four. He is a guy. They team beat him up.
Mad I will let you the floor if you don't
hear it made.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
He's talking about the infamous presser that was the Miami Heat.
When they first got introduced, they said we're gonna win,
not one, not two, not three, not four And.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
He feels short. But time aswell, you have the floor.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Oh I said this at the beginning of the playoffs.
I would rather see the Lakers go out in the
first round than the Pistons win in the first round.
Now here we are, the Lakers are done and now
my Pistons have a chance to knock off my childhood team.
The new York Knicks. So I'm taking that back. I

(07:29):
don't care about God and the Lakers appreciate that. I
want to win this damn game tonight. But going back
to Minnesota, let's give him. This is the second five
games sweep. It's a gentleman's sweep, baby, five games. Ant
Man took care of business. Took care of business, and
after the game he got on that podium, cool collected

(07:49):
and he said, you know what, I just want to
keep getting better. So a lot of guys we look
at the tape when we win. I look at the
tape when we lose.

Speaker 14 (07:58):
I think I ain't about watching film. Is you got
to be willing to accept the bad. I think most
people they only want to watch it when it's good.
So I want to watch the games when I play bad,
like the game the night when I play bad, like
what could I have done better? And I think that's
the perspective that helped me change as far as my
playmaking and seeing the floor. I want to see what
I can do better. And yeah, I think that's what

(08:19):
we did after game too. Man, me and my training
to see Hans. We just watched four in the morning.
He called me like he woke, I'm seeing stuff. I
text you a couple of clips like, hey, this is
what I'm seeing, and they came out and helped me
a lot that game three, and then it just gave
me energy and rolled over to game four and Pint.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Now, I just gonna say something mass before I give
it back to it. He's absolutely right. The reason why
you don't watch the ones where you have the success
is because when you're playing in the league, when you
watch those, you're not watching the bad players.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
You're watching the highlights. You're waiting to see.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Man, Remember I made that catch in the third quarter.
You're waiting to get to that point. You're waiting to
the touchdown, and man's waiting to that. When you break
down bad table, when you were wreaking down the bad
film of the losses.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
You're not looking for highlights. You're looking to get better.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
You're like, all right, where's the player where I slip
on defense?

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Where's the player? Was Pike?

Speaker 4 (09:02):
So that's why guys focused on the bad film and
now watched the good film, because the good one you're
not watching.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
You're just celebrating what's already done.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
Man Anthony Edwards graduated last night Finally, it took him
a few years. He graduated, and I'm happy for him.
They slayed the dragon. They did. Now a lot of
people say, well, the Lakers shouldn't have done anything this year. Bull,
you got one of the best players offensively in the

(09:29):
NBA on your team, with the old man who calls
himself the King. They should have won the series if
they were worth their soult. Now they say next year
they're gonna better because they're gonna get a center and
all of that. But he's gonna be a year older.
You know, I do know he could inject his body,
but whatever the hell he injects his body with. But nonetheless,
the Lakers have done. Lebron's record in the last three

(09:54):
series is two wins and twelve losses. Two wins and
twelve loss is for the King, the self proclaimed King.
So now Minnesota passes by and they get Oklahoma City next. Okay, see,
you'll probably run them off the court because I can't
see Minnesota getting up like they did. They got up

(10:14):
big time to beat the Lakers. I think they have
I'm not gonna call a meltdown, but it's a letdown
a little bit. And Oklahoma City's been chilling. They swept.
That is hanging out at home. Ched Holgrim turned twenty
three today, by the way, Happy birthday to him. But
as far as this series goes, I'm glad the Lakers
are gone. I can enjoy the rest of the playoffs now.

(10:36):
And now you look at the Dallas and the Lakers trade,
and poor Nico Harrison, he got railroaded, ram rotted. Name
every single word you want about the general manager of
the Mavericks, and supposedly they've interviewed Dirt Novitzky to possibly
be the next general manager. Smart, but you know what,
this guy he made the trade because he said Luca

(10:59):
played half game, and that half a game that he plays,
he can average forty points a game. Probably he doesn't defend.
He never defended in this series, and who knows in
the long run, No, it's not they blew that trait.
If they would have just held onto him and put
him out there and let teams bid on him, they

(11:21):
could have probably got six number one draft picks, a
couple of players. Whatever. I don't understand what happened there.
Happened there. I don't understand they pulled the trigger really quick.
I really believe it's Lebron and the league that made
that happen. But it didn't work. It did not work
this time.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
The thing I would say about Anthony Edwards warre turnover
to answer for a second. And this is game six tonight,
so we will be talking about these pissons.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
I'll give you a quick crack at and we'll get
back to that.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
But Magin, you bring up an interesting point. You look
at Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves last year. They got
to the Western Conference Final.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
So for you to say it was like, well, yeah,
you know, he grew up the sh he played better.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
No one could say, but he did this, and you
would be wrong, mas to be correct the way in
which he went about this this year. When he's not
scoring forty, he's finding ways to impact the game, whether
it's on defense, whether it's getting in Lebron's head, whether
it's matching up, he's finishing the game. Then a lot
of times he would make the comment after the game,
he would make the comment on the court, he would
make the comment in the interview that now the team

(12:21):
is paying attention to versus going out there and play ball.
That's just a young tendency. It comes with everybody. I
did the same thing. You didn't see that this year,
And like MATV said the presser afterward, you're watching Anthony Edwards.
You watch him grow up before Barry Eyes, and I
was happy he did what he did and squad had
the success shot that Julius Randall because a lot of
us thought that the trade was in the Knicks favor,

(12:43):
Randall was turned into some special go ahead and answering.
Worry you with Lebron saying he's not coming back. He
has the weigh his options. And what Mass said about
the Luca trade being either or favor for or.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
Against, well, I told you, guys, I hated both trades
first and foremost fat Man and the Robin. They aren't
gonna win anything together.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
We knew that. And you know it's really it's really ironic.

Speaker 6 (13:12):
I just found out what fat man, and that would
be uh fat Luca. You know what his shoe is called, oh,
called El Matador.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
Is that not ironic?

Speaker 6 (13:26):
Because this guy is special at letting people get by him.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
That was never gonna work the gold Cape.

Speaker 6 (13:34):
But I also told you that the Knicks trade was bad.
As much as Kat has been the guy in this series,
their chemistry is gone. Their depth is gone. And now
you look over at the Minnesota Timberwolves that were barely
in the playoffs, playing game for most of the season.
That chemistry started to come together at the end of
the season. They get into that sixth seed and now

(13:56):
they're in the second round. And you guys all thought
I was crazy when I told that trade was gonna
work out better for the Timberwolves. I'll tell you what, Saturday,
we might see the nixt season end. I don't think
it's happening tonight. Can't happen tonight. They're not getting over
the Pistons to night. Pistons are going to MSG and
they are winning that game. I told you on February
eleventh that that was gonna happens. Both of these trades.

(14:18):
They've just going for star power, and we're starting to
see that when your cat's a real.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
Deal, man, I get that.

Speaker 6 (14:24):
But when you give up all your assets to try
and get a big two or big three, you got
nothing left.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
And that's the warning I want to.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Give to all you Pistons fans that want to trade
everything for Zion or name in your player.

Speaker 7 (14:37):
Here.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
This team is about chemistry. It's about depth. It's about
a core that averages the age of twenty three. Don't
give these guys up. Like we've watched a bunch of
these teams. The only guy that I can think of
that it's worked out for is Donovan Mitchell and the
Cavs right now.

Speaker 5 (14:55):
So I love where the Pistons are going.

Speaker 6 (14:57):
I love watching these trades blow up in two teams
bases that have probably the worst fan bases in the NBA.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
In Knicks fans pessident than the Lakers. Hold your horses.
I'm sorry about Nick fans are one of the best fans.
He's the ticket prices. Have you seen any Yeah, even
more reason the ticket I've been a fan since I
was a kid. You're gonna tell me I'm a bad fan. No,
not you. You're a Michigan fan something. Please.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
You know what you're doing right now. You know how
you talk about the Walmart fan. You don't have a
problem necessarily with Michigan fan. It's the Walmart fan you
have a problem with. I think right now you have
a problem with the New York Nick Walmart fan because
Maz is not a Walmart.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
I'm a true blue. You're for Michigan now, Bro, you
are not included in that manner.

Speaker 6 (15:44):
Go up, fan, Okay, but let's talk about those those
games that ended on on the Detroit's floor, that they
were stolen from us. If that happened in MSG, it
would be on the front page of CNN, MSNBC, the
New York Times. And now, all of a sudden game
that was very evenly called and very evenly contested. You
just see Knicks fans who have been ripping on Detroit

(16:07):
fans for being soft and complaining, complaining so much heavier
right now. I Hey, you want to call him sport,
that's fine. I just love watching them lose. And I
love Laker fans having to wait all summer to figure
out how bad their team's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
That.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
I love those fans that I love. I know you do.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Last thing I said, you brought up chemistry, and we'll
start talking about these pissons.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
But the KD thing, the KD thing, was chemistry. The
very first time he did it. Everybody hated the KD moving.
That's fine if you don't like to move. KD went
to play basketball in Golden State because it was like
minded individuals that were playing the same brand of basketball
that he wanted to play, so he went there because
the chemistry was gonna work and ended up did work.

(16:48):
Everywhere else he went the chemistry didn't work because everywhere
else he went, everybody was just like, give him four a.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Force of excuse me, give him four first round picks.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
L give me that guy. We gotta have KD. The
chemistry is real. As you brought up that point. Kay Cunningham, though,
is a star for this Detroit Pistons team, and he
will be on full display tonight. He's actually having for
a very first time series. Kate's having a series.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
He's having a historic rookie series.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
Here are the numbers rookie series Kate Cunningham twenty five
point four points to night, eight point six assists, eight
point eight rebounds of one point four blocks. Now he
is averaging five point four turnofs and we can't have
that minus that stat this is a hell of a
first round for a first time playoff player in Kay Cunningham.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
I got some other players and notable turch time playoff series.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Pete, now you can throw those things on my friend
Will just a couple and you can talk through it,
man Anson, as you see it notable first time Trey Young.
This is a couple of years ago, twenty eight point
eight and nine assists in his first point seed. Say
what you want to about Trey Young. He does know
how to perform when the lights are on.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
What else we got? You can just stroll through him.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
You got it, my friend, and you can talk to
as and go ahead and mass everybody jump in.

Speaker 6 (17:58):
Giane Williamson is highly anticipate to playoff debut averaged impress
of twenty seven and seven and a half rebounds. You know,
I'm looking at Caid. He's in Select company. First four games.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
He had a twenty ten.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
You know the two guys that have done that, that's
wil Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Wil Chamberlain was on full display last night in the
form of Rudy Gobert.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
Ay did he get to thirty points?

Speaker 3 (18:22):
No, he was twenty seven and twenty four.

Speaker 5 (18:24):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
Rudy Gobert twenty seven and twenty four. Yeah, but those
are just a couple of no overs. Here's your boy
right here.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
You bought him up. Donovan minchew his very.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
First playoff series twenty four to four, hell of and
then here's another one, Jason Tatum just putting up some
guys that you recognize.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
These are the guys Jason was a very young guy.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
And then here is luk at Donati thirty one, nine,
eight and eighty seven. There comes a good one phenomenon
in twenty and nineteen Derrick Rose nineteen.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
Seves a rookie too, and this is in nine.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
It's a different game, scoring twenty as a rookie in
O nine six three assists.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
It's very different numbers.

Speaker 10 (18:57):
Than now and done this one from as.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
And then here you go.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
I'll never forget it was that Karan Butler that made
the comment and the ain't got cracked.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
But anyway, Kate is in some rare company, rare players.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
John Moran last on his list, excited to see what
to the Knight can bring in. This is a night
that he can make a story. This can be the
story of k coming in Detroit business.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Absolutely, and it's been a developing story. You know.

Speaker 6 (19:26):
Jordan got his first playoff triple double at twenty six. R. K.
Cunningham got it at twenty three, and realistically the guy
doesn't I mean, he's got all kinds of help defensively
and energy wise, But nobody expected Tobias Harris to be
the number two option on this team. All the flak

(19:46):
and all the criticism that he's gone at times throughout
this series, He's just doing so much on both sides
of the ball, and I think people, I think people
don't understand how much effort he puts out in getting
his team involved rebounding the basketball but also defending. You
can throw Luca's stats up there, but he's a matador.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Maz. I'm coming to you tonight.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
It's gonna be a big game for k It's gonna
be a big pan for the fans of LCA, fans
of Detroit. What do the Pistons need to do? What
needs right?

Speaker 3 (20:18):
In that case?

Speaker 6 (20:19):
What is it?

Speaker 5 (20:20):
It's Blik. It's Blik, and it's his partner, his other
three point shooter, Tim Tim Hardaway Junior. Those are my
guys tonight. You need Malik Beasley to be meet Malik
Beasley from the regular season when he was shooting forty
three percent from three, he's now shooting thirty percent. I

(20:40):
need to see him. Last game, he hit his first
couple and that got him going. And now we need
him again early in this game. I need Beasley to
find his shot, not just chuck stuff up. Find his shot,
get him, get that shot up there and and make
the team get behind him, get the out into the game.

(21:01):
Last game, the crowd was a little slow getting into
the game. It was not like the previous game. When
Game three was off the hook that Thursday night game
Game three, the crowd was into it. Game four on
that Sunday, it took them a long time to get
going tonight. We need it right from the get go
back to work again tonight and when the next leave

(21:21):
Birmingham in a little while to drive the little Caesars.
Pete put up that billboard that they're gonna pass probably
somewhere on I seventy five. Look what someone put up.
Someone paid so put that up. Read that Anson. What
does that say for the people that aren't watching live
right now?

Speaker 6 (21:40):
Princeling, You're a mother flopper.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Shout out to whoever got that billboards.

Speaker 5 (21:45):
It's a well money spend. Fox two is putting it
up too. I got news feed.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
With that being said, one thing that I want to
see out of Pistons tonight, as you talked about the
fan base, it's gonna go crazy it's gonna go nuts.
See this is at MSG and MSG there aren't a
ton of Pistons fans, so you can't.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Buy into the energy of the crowd as the game goes.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Don't get too called in the crowd. Don't get too
called in the emotion and things is going on. Like
that's the one thing that bothers because in the first
two games at LCA, that's what happened.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
When you're on the road, your fans aren't there.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
It's not your house, so it's easy for you to
dial into what the coach is saying the road teams
four and one, but nobody's paying attention to the crowd
when you're on the road. At home, you got your
family over here, you got people you know over there.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Things catch your eyes, your fan base.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
You gotta lock in to what's going on in between
the four corners.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Everything else has to be white Noise.

Speaker 5 (22:39):
Halliburton's dad isn't coming to tonight's game, is he. No.
I love that you.

Speaker 6 (22:43):
Brought that up, because you know, we're used to playoff
games at the Silver Dome and at the Palace, and
if you came here, you were in trouble. I mean,
especially during the bad Boy days and the four run.
I mean that that place during the Finals against the
Lakers was an absolute ad house. And I've heard quite
a few things about how this young team was shell

(23:05):
shocked by the pure presence, energy, and loudness of their
home fans to the point where they weren't able to
utilize it. And they came out flat in that first quarter,
and JB has talked about they were not ready to
have that many fans in their corner. I think that
that's going to be very different tonight's game. I think

(23:26):
that this will be the first time you watch this
Pistons team get out ahead and hold that lead and
understand how to play with that lead. I think tonight
is a double digit win.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Wow. Why every game has been close?

Speaker 6 (23:41):
Not well, yeah, but this team has had an opportunity
and a half. Well I heard that we were getting one,
oh yeah, correct, so or we were giving it when
when you look at at this team what they're able
to do here. I mean that game that they just won,
they had an opportunity to run away with that, and

(24:01):
they've had that opportunity in every game exactly. I think
that today they're going to have the shots falling from
the three point you know, artists, And I think that
they are going to be able to utilize that energy
from the crowd from the get go. And I think
that you're going to see a tired MIxS team. They
don't have two days off like they have had through

(24:22):
a lot of these games. It's one night off and
then one night off again. So I think the energy
plays a huge part. And this is the first time
you see this young team learn that they have a
six man when they play at home.

Speaker 5 (24:34):
Cat Cat had five fouls last game. Get him in
foul trouble again, get him uncomfortable, Do not let him
flat foot shoot threes on you, do not do not
make them drive in and then let d urim blocks
of shots again. Let's get him, Let's get it.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
I tell you one thing that the New York Knicks
don't want to do.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
They don't want to make the mistake of trying to
get through game six because they're going to win game
seven to home like the Houston Rockets and the Golden
State Warriors.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Did last night.

Speaker 5 (25:02):
Man, oh my god, the Rockets from start to finish,
but they just destroyed the Warriors.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
But you know what, it goes back to what I
tell you.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
They took a night off.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
But the problem is, this isn't the same Golden State
Warriors team when they had KD or when Andrew Wiggins
was cooking with greed. So you wont it like it's
not that same team. You can't turn it off and
turn it on. That's what I'm saying about the Knicks.
If they come up in here, it's like a it's
not look like it's gonna go our way. We'll just
wait and we'll win Game seven and know you will
not know you will not. Don't let this Pistons team

(25:32):
get more confetist than they already have.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
I agree with you, don't answer.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
You know, when you look at those bad Boys teams
that did not have a Palace or Auburn Hills at
the beginning, they grew and grew. By the time they
got the palace. It was a real home court advantage
because you have veterans on the squad. Isaiah won Spring
Chicken either was jod Neils that team. Same thing with
the go on to work Pistons.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Those dudes were older.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Those dudes were no Spring Chickens when they started winning.
This team was young. It takes time. It takes you
to go through it a couple of times. Think they
may be ready for the night.

Speaker 6 (26:01):
I was blessed to be a ball boy at the
game in eighty seven against the Celtics. Now, that was.

Speaker 10 (26:09):
Loud, very cool.

Speaker 5 (26:10):
That was very very cool.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
I talk about that moment. You can't just drop that.
Talk about a little bit. You know.

Speaker 6 (26:16):
William Bedford, him and him and John Sally were placing
bets to hit the corner three not the corner, but
actually from the out of bounce corner, so you're kind
of behind the backboard.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
There is Larry Bird.

Speaker 6 (26:34):
I got a first hand experience with his.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
Trash talk.

Speaker 6 (26:40):
The guy ran his mouth all game. And Kevin McHale
literally was a full running faucet. That man sweat like
no human being I've ever seen in my life. Every
dead ball he'd go through two or three through two
or three towels.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
That's funny because one of the memories of him, like
his stell picture from Minnesota like them go to Golden Gophers.
He's literally drenched through his jersey and shorts. It looks
like maroon.

Speaker 5 (27:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
So I I got going down that that uh brought
road and remembering that it it honestly is we've seen
this this growth of fans in the mid eighties that
knew something was going to happen, that loved Isaiah, that
loved Rodman and jumrs and and Sally, all those draft picks,
And what happened when it went to the Palace was

(27:31):
all of that stuff just got brought in because.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
In that eighty eight run, I mean, you got.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
The silver Dome with a big old curtain that's pulled,
and you got people on the other side of the
curtain just paying to the upper level trying.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
To see in. And that's great.

Speaker 6 (27:46):
When we came to the Palace, we knew this team
was going to be winning. We knew we should have
won an eighty eight. We were cheated. But those first
two years, I mean from game one, the preseason games
were loud and packed, So I I was really curious
to see what would happen at LCA. We've seen through
two games that everybody brought it. I think that tonight,

(28:06):
I think that tonight is the time that they get
to finally use that to their advantage.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
Hey, before we get Greg Kelser on Special K coming
on and just a minute, here's some super chats Burns
starts off. Maz is the last Knicks fan who was
alive for their last NBA title. I was nineteen seventy three.
I was eleven years old. That's fifty two years ago, guys,
and Detroit Lions asked drought. Well, not quite, but it's close.

type that brought a Lion's hat when they were owing.
Sixteen's birthday would have been Tuesday. It'd mean a lot
if you wish Ron Dabries a belated happy birthday. Thank you, guys,
happy birthday. I haven't birthday. Ron Birthday died dead. And

(28:53):
Michael Wharry LCA will have its first playoff memory tonight.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
That's the one thing, man, I think, thanks guys.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
I think that's the one thing about the game that
we were fell in love with when the Lions.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
Started winning again.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
What was the what was the what was the thing
that was happening the most with the fan base when
the Lions started to win?

Speaker 3 (29:13):
What it was?

Speaker 4 (29:14):
The story is about if my father were here, Oh yeah, father.
We waited for these moments and we did that like
that's the fun size of this thing.

Speaker 7 (29:22):
Man.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Family chairing like growing up man. I agree that shoot
around family.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
You know what I was doing last night all in
the house. I was just so excited walking around the house.

guess just continuing the conversation with tonight. You know it's
a major night.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
What do you want to see? How to fan base tonight?

Speaker 18 (33:44):
Like?

Speaker 3 (33:44):
What did you excuse me? What do you expect the excitement?
What is the level you expected? Y'll s e night.

Speaker 6 (33:50):
It will be the loudest of all c A's ever better.

Speaker 5 (33:52):
I mean, I don't know if it'll beat last Thursday.
It will beat last Thursday.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
This is the most meaningful game that Pistons have played
since Truth eight. Hands down. They lost, though, Man, it
has to be it has to be louder. I know
that they've got a light out, but it's not about
the fans. The fans are going to bring it because
we have the best fans in the world here in Detroit.
It's about how the Pistons react to it. And they

(34:19):
didn't know what they were doing at home.

Speaker 5 (34:21):
It was very, very clear. They started slow in game three.

Speaker 6 (34:25):
They had Game four in their hands and they gave
it up. I think that they learned how to play
with the lead in MSG and their confidence is so
high right now. But they've had time to digest what
happened at LCA. They can anticipate the energy that's going
to be in that building and that should allow them

(34:46):
to understand how to utilize it. I'm calling for a
double digit win tonight.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
I'd be shocked if that happened, but I'll take another
one point win. I just want to win because the
Detroit fans that have been showing up for this team
deserve it, and this team they've already done what you
expect them to do. They've already overachieved. Man, they won
fourteen games last year. They've won two games in a
playoff already. So there are two wins away from going

(35:13):
to an Eastern Conference semifinal against the World Champs. The
World Champs are waiting. Boston's hanging out. Who do you think,
if you're the Boston Celtics, who would you rather play
the Knicks? I agree absolutely.

Speaker 6 (35:31):
I mean, their whole specialty is perimeter three point shooting,
and we have some of the best perimeter defenders in
the game. We saw the last matchup with Boston. We
got a w I know they had some key players out,
but A you have confidence as the Pistons that you
can play with that team and b you match up

(35:53):
well with them. Like I don't expect the Pistons to
get by the Celtics. I don't think they're as good
as the Celtics right now, and I think the NBA
has a vested interest in seeing them at the very
least in the Eastern Conference Finals. That being said, the
Pistons will certainly take two games out of that series
that's happening.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
I don't know about two games, but you know that's
for us to decay if we win this game. But
I will say this, they don't want to play the
Pistons because they don't want.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
To get beat up. That's the problem, Amen, Like you
don't want to get beat up.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
You may beat a team, but when you get into
that next round, you're still suffering from the game, the team, and.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
The series that you played before.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
That's what will happen with the Pistons, and that's why
to your point, they don't want to play the Pistons,
they would much rather play I agree.

Speaker 10 (36:35):
I was gonna says perfect.

Speaker 12 (36:36):
This is a very unique Game six, probably one of
the more unique Game six is that we've had in
Detroit sports history, because the Pistons don't have that first
home win, and getting that first home win in a
playoff series does a lot for the team going forward
because they're going to see the reaction of the crowd,
They're going to hear the reactions during the postgame shows

(36:57):
and all the happiness that goes on. The Piston absolutely
can end this series tonight with this big home win because,
like you said already earlier, Anson, they've already proved how
to win in New York. That's not a problem whatsoever.
And so I really think that tonight is going to
be the victory the Pistons want, you Pistons fans want.

Speaker 10 (37:18):
And they're going to get it done and end the
next tonight.

Speaker 4 (37:20):
Guys, well, let's bring in the man himself, Greg Kelser,
and he can tell us what's gonna happen with this game.

Speaker 3 (37:24):
What's going on?

Speaker 13 (37:25):
GK Hey Brillan, I don't know if I can tell
you what's going to happen now, I can't tell you
how it's going to end up. I will tell you
that the atmosphere should be very, very electric and and
hot wild. All of that we saw it in games
three and four. I'm just happy that the guys were

(37:46):
able to get another victory in New York and and
and earned their second chance to win a home game,
a home playoff game for their fans, because the way
those fans were engaged last week, I would almost say
they deserve it, and this deserves almost to be a
seven game series now, it's been that tightly competitive, their

(38:07):
competition has been that tight.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Hey, and in games to excuse me, in the game
two games that they lost at LCA, I was at
one of the games. But you see some of the
younger players, you see some of the youth seep in,
some of the experienced seep in. This is now the
third time that they'll be playing in LCA, they're now
trying to tie the series up. What experience changes do
you expect to see in the Detroit business tonight.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
JB Bigger seven cake, excuse me.

Speaker 13 (38:33):
I think what has to happen. They've got to avoid
the slow starts that plagued them in those two games
they had at Little Seasons Arena earlier. They had a
chance to win both those games, but in both those
games they fell back early and found themselves fighting uphill
for a long time. And my feeling is that if

(38:55):
they can avoid that tonight, if they can avoid the
slow start, if they can you know, last game, for instance,
game for It, they were down sixteen points, came back,
took an eleven point lead. That's a twenty seven point swing.
I imagine if you can have a run like that
without the deficit. First, I think that they can. I

(39:16):
think that they have the capacity to win this game.

Speaker 8 (39:20):
All these games have been so close.

Speaker 13 (39:22):
I feel that if they keep their turnovers down and
if they can get hot shooting from Beasley and Hardaware,
those two guys are very very key factors, they can
get them going there. This could possibly be a game
that's not as close as some of these others have been.
I know the fans are going to be there to
do their part, really boost the guys and give them
an emotional lift. And then if they can just you know,

(39:45):
take care of a few things and teep playing a
solid defense they played over the last few games, They've
got a really good chance to win this and not
have it be such a nail fighter.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
So as I've gotten to the space of trying to
be an analyst, I've learned them a little bit more
about analytics.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
So one of my favorite.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
Things is the Detroit Pistons plus twenty eight net in
the third quarter. Can you tell us why are the
Pistons having so much success in that third quarter? Plus
twenty eight is a lot, especially considering this against the
New York Knicks.

Speaker 13 (40:16):
I think it has to do with the instruction, the
instructions and the adjustments that they're making at halftime that
have been able to that. They've been able to come
out and really push and sustain in a couple of situations.
That was absolutely imperative that they'd come out of the

(40:36):
halftime locker room ready to go and have the first
run because they were behind.

Speaker 7 (40:42):
So now.

Speaker 13 (40:44):
What I'm hoping for and asking for is that they
have the great third quarter again, but also have a
really good person second quarter like Houston did last night,
and Houston as a young team with just like the Pistons,
they jumped on Golden State right and it was clear
pretty much what was going to happen, and Steve Kurs
saw it. So he took his aged veterans out and

(41:07):
he's looking at Game six as a closeout. He doesn't
want to have to go back to Houston and fase that.
So I hope that's what the Pistons are finally able
to do to the New York Knicks. I hope that
they're able to establish control early. I'll say this for
the for you know, for those slow starts, I don't
think it was for a lack of readiness. I think

(41:31):
they were just way too hyped up, way too juice up,
and they were a bit ahead of themselves. And you know,
you put that pressure on yourself and you want to
make it happen, and then it doesn't, and the other
team is a lot more poised and they're able to
play their natural, normal game and they get off and
get away from you. But the business have learned a

(41:51):
lot in serious he They've learned a lot all year.
So I think this is the moment coming up for
them today.

Speaker 5 (41:57):
Hey, Greg tom Asoy looking forward to seeing it tonight.
I appreciate you coming on. Another unk that I love
is Tobias Harris, and he showed out in New York
and that's his place. He had his family and friends there.
He really is standing up to these guys. He's not
backing down. And the young kids look at him. I mean,
this is the second time here with the Pistons, and

(42:19):
I'm like, why they bringing them back again? You know what,
I'm so happy they did. Between him and Dennis Shrewder,
I don't know who I love more.

Speaker 13 (42:28):
I agree with the tom You know, when Tobias came
here to join the Pistons in twenty sixteen for the
first time, they did almost the exact same thing. They
want forty four games and he got into the first
round and they didn't win a game against Cleveland and
eventually won the title, but they played him for very
competitive games and it looked like it was going to
be the start of something, you know, really good for

(42:51):
the Pistons moving forward. Didn't happen that way, but Tobias
was a catalyst for that year's playoff run. And here
he is back now, Uh, you know, eight years older,
but you know a lot of experience behind him now
and and and leadership qualities that he's accumulated, and he
was perfect for this young group, absolutely perfect, uh in

(43:15):
the locker room presence, the wisdom, but also he can
still play and that matters. And right now he's the key.
He's been a big key in this series. You know,
he's undersized playing against the Carl Anthony Towns, and yet
he's battling him. He's making him work very very hard.
He's scoring, he's rebounding, he's doing everything this team needs

(43:39):
and they just need him to do it one more time.
And I say one more time because I'm only focusing
on tonight's game. I'm not even thinking about what comes
after that. Tonight is you know, that's the that's the
way you when you get down three to one, you
have to think of it one day. One game, that's it.
You gotta win one game. You look at it like that,
and that's very doable. But when you go you know

(44:00):
is that we've got to beat up three tents. Every
comes a bit more daunting mentally. So don't even don't
think about that one game. That's what they have to
win the night. They need to buy us, and they
need and they need and they need hardaway, all four
of those veterans to do what they do.

Speaker 5 (44:16):
Amen.

Speaker 6 (44:16):
Hey, there're Spartan, the Detroit Heckler here.

Speaker 5 (44:19):
I will always thank you.

Speaker 6 (44:22):
You added to the lower by circling me on the
telestrator a few different times back in the day.

Speaker 5 (44:27):
And uh, and I love that you're green and white.
I got a few questions for you here.

Speaker 7 (44:31):
One.

Speaker 6 (44:32):
Beef Stew was spotted at shoot around. He is questionable.

Speaker 13 (44:36):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (44:36):
I really felt that he would play in Game five,
but I'm hearing that his injury is a little more
severe than they had let onto. I just can't see
this guy allowing his season to be finished on the bench.
What are the chances that we see Beef Stew tonight
and what kind of impact would that have on the game?

Speaker 13 (44:55):
Okay? Is this answer it is?

Speaker 5 (45:00):
He's the heckler.

Speaker 13 (45:01):
Uh, He's the heckler. Okay, So listen, I agree with
you for for Isaiah Stewart to be missing these games.
That that's telling. That's very very telling, regardless of what
the reports in the uh prog Now you know, the
prognosis are the guy a big, tough, strong dude, and uh,
if he could be out there, he'd be out there.

(45:23):
There's no doubt in my mind about that. So yeah,
it's it's definitely something. But you know, tribute to the
team for the way they've been able to again handle
some major adversity. You know, they were supposed to falter
after they lost j ninety four months ago. They did.

Speaker 8 (45:40):
Uh.

Speaker 13 (45:40):
You know, certainly now they shouldn't beating New York Knicks
when they don't have this guy and his you know,
physicality to go against their interior guys. But they haven't.
So you know, my hat's off to the team for that.
But it would certainly be nice to have him for
a few minutes tonight to go in and put on
Karl Anthony Towns, maybe grab a few rebounds, so on

(46:03):
and so forth. But you know, his health is is paramount.
You know, you rather you don't want to risk, you know,
endangering him, you know, for the short term when he's
the type of guy that could have a easily a
ten to fifteen year career, but he needs to be
helpy to do it.

Speaker 7 (46:20):
So you don't want to put him in jeopardy now.

Speaker 13 (46:21):
But if you can get him out there without jeopardizing
your future, then we'd all like to see that.

Speaker 5 (46:29):
Yeah, sure would help to have him.

Speaker 6 (46:31):
I'm curious Tony Brothers, old school Tony brother is going
to be the head officiator of the crew tonight.

Speaker 5 (46:37):
Is that a good thing or bad thing for the Pistons.

Speaker 6 (46:39):
I know we would love to see Acosta, But is
Tony Brothers somebody that the Pistons will be happy to
have running the officiating tonight.

Speaker 13 (46:49):
Well, I hope so, because he has seen everything. He's
He's officiated at every level that you possibly can in
the NBA. He's been in finals games and all of
that stuff, so you know, playoff shouldn't come as a
shock to him. I like the way this series has
been officiated, from the idea that they.

Speaker 8 (47:07):
Have let both teams just really go at it and not.

Speaker 13 (47:10):
Calling sheep fowls. They're letting the guys determine the outcome.
We always they had made the correct call at the
end of Game four and you know, put Tim Hardaway
on the line three to make two to win the game.
We would have loved that. But again, to the team's credit,
they didn't look back. You know, they lamented it for
a while, and then when it was time to shift
the focus to Game five in New York, that's what

(47:32):
they did and they were able to win that game
and get back here for another chance in Detroit. I
just hope that the coaches are both of them, Tibodeau
and Bickerstaff have both said, we just hope that it's even,
and that's all you can ask for, regardless to who's.

Speaker 4 (47:52):
Blowing the whistle tall the Michigan state legend Greg Kelser,
as well as Pistons fourth pick overall in nineteen seventy nine,
G JB.

Speaker 3 (48:01):
Bigger Staff. I'm trying to ask this question the right way.

Speaker 4 (48:04):
How would you categorize his coaching thus far in this
this series against the Knicks.

Speaker 13 (48:11):
He's done a great job. I mean he's pulling, you know,
he's he's plugging guys in he's pushing buttons and and
you know he's saying the right words. You know, he's
done that all year. First thing I noticed about him
when I attended one of his practices before the season
even started was the clan of his communication.

Speaker 7 (48:29):
I mean, it's very very clear what he wants.

Speaker 13 (48:31):
And what he expects. He gives guys their their instructions,
and then they know what he's asking for and they
go out there and work hard to try and make it,
make it happen. They work hard for him. You know,
they like him and they work hard for him.

Speaker 7 (48:45):
Uh.

Speaker 13 (48:46):
Clearly that that's a big plus for him. I think
he's coaching the year. I really do, because there's no
team in the NBA that's that has exceeded expectations the
way the Pistons have.

Speaker 8 (48:57):
They share it, I mean.

Speaker 13 (49:00):
Maybe ever because you know, they were supposed to be
a twenty seven to maybe thirty win team this year
and and no no playing, no playoffs, just you know,
a thirteen to fourteen game improvement over last year, and
that was gonna be a mark of success. And look
at where they are now. Gotta be the coach of
the Year. I know there have been some other coaches

(49:21):
that have done some great jobs, the guy in Oklahoma,
the guy in Cleveland, Uh, you know, maybe even uh
Doka down in Houston. But nobody's done what he's done.
I mean, he should be just leaving rewarded for it
he's been. He's done an amazing job, not just in
these playoffs, getting his team to you know, to win
two games in New York and and now uh five

(49:44):
games all all all all total adult.

Speaker 7 (49:47):
What is it?

Speaker 13 (49:47):
Four four wins in New York? Four four out of
five games they've won in New York.

Speaker 5 (49:52):
It's pretty good.

Speaker 13 (49:53):
That's hard to do. Hard to do, guys.

Speaker 5 (49:56):
Got to get back there for Saturday night, Greg, that's
for sure. But I'll tell you someone that's impressed the
hell out of me. I always thought he was a
great player, both of these guys. But my eyes were open,
Jalen Brunts. And I know is a great player, and
I know he's playing hurt. But Kat Karl Anthony Towns,
I've never seen a better shooter, big man like like this.

(50:17):
He's odd, he looks like he's shooting it flat footed.
And then the drive to the basket in Game four
that he shoots behind the basket. I mean like a
trick not I mean this guy. And then last game
they got him in foul trouble so they controlled it.
They got to do it again.

Speaker 7 (50:34):
Yeah, he's new age, you know, he's He's where the
NBA has has has evolved too. You know, big guys
that can put the ball on the floor. I can
shoot it with rains, handle it like a guard. Uh
you know, play inside. But you know the guy who
did it to Hall of Fame standard, to a Hall

(50:55):
of Fame stand up before him with dirt and fiskey guy,
same type of thing player and uh uh you know,
cause the problem it was a matchup nightmare. And you know,
but the Pistons are you know they were They were
able to solve him and runs in games for game five.
But I'm gonna tell you one thing that I hope

(51:16):
happened tonight, and that's a sorry Thompson.

Speaker 13 (51:18):
Yeah, being asked to be asked to shadow a guy
the length of the court all games. That's that takes
tremendous stamina. It takes It takes a determination that that
you have because you're going one of the best offensive
players at his position in the game and they want you.

Speaker 7 (51:36):
To guard him.

Speaker 13 (51:37):
Ninety fourth. Well, the whole time.

Speaker 7 (51:39):
You're out there and they and you got to be.

Speaker 13 (51:41):
Able to do it without filing, which is what he
did the great success in in game five. But the
biggest thing he did, you know, and well equally as
big was he scored. You know, he he he made
them have to honor him and respect him and guard him.
And he's got to do that tonight. Now we jumps

(52:02):
hospital with drives, with cuts, with back doors and all
that stuff, so that Hunt and anybody else that's guarding
him can't play off fig they're not going to him. Well,
they went to him the other night and he came
through brilliantly, so that we need to see that again
to night.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
I agree with you.

Speaker 4 (52:18):
It's been amazing to watch he and the man Thompson,
his brother down in Houston kind of explode in the
playoffs at the same time it's been at the time.

Speaker 5 (52:25):
At the same time, Hey, we're gonna watch on FanDuel.
You and George and Johnny Caine have been doing this
awesome job. Forget about ESPN, TNT, forget those guys. Let's
go right to Fan Duel. Watch our team, our home team,
with our home guys. George Blaha, Greg Kelser, Johnny Kane,
Natalie Kerlewin, the whole crew, guys, So knock and low tonight.

Speaker 3 (52:46):
Greg.

Speaker 5 (52:46):
We'll see you soon, all right.

Speaker 13 (52:48):
Guys, enjoyed to take care of and enjoy the game tonight.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
All right, I'm talking to you always.

Speaker 5 (52:52):
Thank you very much. Greed go Greed, go white, he.

Speaker 3 (52:58):
Said it, never mind, because that's that's all so it is.

Speaker 6 (53:03):
You know, you're really lucky that you guys got rid
of him when you did, because I was gonna ask
him for We didn't.

Speaker 3 (53:09):
Ask Hi about the how we should ask him about holler?

Speaker 5 (53:13):
Oh yeah, all right, M s U.

Speaker 15 (53:19):
M s U.

Speaker 5 (53:21):
Today. What happened with M s U? Greg Alan Holler him?

Speaker 13 (53:26):
Yeah, I got that news a little earlier today. I
was surprised by it. I was really surprised because you know,
I didn't see you coming up, and maybe I've been
so immersed in what the pistons are doing, maybe just
detached down. Her tournament is over, uh from uh from
my alma matera. But uh, you know I knew Alan,
you know, golf a few times, and uh, you know,

(53:47):
I wish him the best of he moves on. Uh,
that's just sort of the way it goes.

Speaker 8 (53:52):
I guess uh, I heard what the administration.

Speaker 13 (53:56):
Said, you know, looking in a different direction, and this
sort of thing. That's usually the stand.

Speaker 8 (54:00):
There, replied when something like this happens.

Speaker 13 (54:03):
But the best and we all have, yeah, we all have.
You know, he even in a tough situation. You know
that the situation that that that occurred up there, we
all know about a couple of years ago, a year
and a half ago.

Speaker 8 (54:18):
That did not help him, that's for sure.

Speaker 13 (54:20):
But uh, you know, through no fault of his own.
You know, it's it's it's one of those things that
can and a lot of times is out of your hands,
and you know, you go in and you do the
very best job you can, and then those that make
the decisions they made them.

Speaker 8 (54:33):
But uh, I know he's learned a lot in this situation.

Speaker 13 (54:35):
Both good and bad, you know, to help him in
his career and he moves on. He's young, uh and
I would imagine that with all that he's armed with now,
his future uh still remains bright. But this has to
be a disappointment for him. But you know, he's a
strong guy. He'll he'll pick up the pieces and and
find you know, success.

Speaker 6 (54:53):
Against Mischikelso I got one final question for you before
you leave, and it's a fun one.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
Sorry about that. I didn't know he was the last time.

Speaker 6 (54:59):
Just do can you uh can you recall your very
first or one of your first interactions with a young Wolverine,
Braylan Edwards.

Speaker 8 (55:12):
I remember Braider probably doesn't.

Speaker 13 (55:16):
See. Brandon's dad Stand used to used to bring him
to the gym. You know, we had this gym where
some of the some of the you know.

Speaker 8 (55:25):
Form up ball players, both football football players who football
players who liked playing basketball and uh and and basketball
players who had you know, played college or pro.

Speaker 13 (55:35):
We used to have these incredible runs that this gymnasium
in Detroit every Tuesday and Thursday. Man Stan used to
come and he'd bring Braylen.

Speaker 8 (55:44):
Let the Braid was like two years old and.

Speaker 13 (55:46):
He would be over that gym and I can hear stand.
I can have Stan yelling get your butt over here.
On you get over there for a little while, and
then the next thing you know, he's gone again. I
remember Braid always had a muscles, you know, he had
muffles for ever two three year I'm like you got
an athlete, Bill he's he's gonna be some kind of athlete.

Speaker 8 (56:08):
I don't know what he's gonna play.

Speaker 13 (56:09):
He's gonna play something.

Speaker 8 (56:11):
So as I you know, as I kept.

Speaker 13 (56:12):
Up with him through the years, it was never a
shock to me that that he, you know, went on
to be a great football player, following me in his
dad's footsteps. I just wish he's going to Michigan State.

Speaker 5 (56:24):
He almost did, you know.

Speaker 13 (56:27):
I'll always remember with great chagrin that that game he had.

Speaker 8 (56:32):
Against the Spartans and Lands, and when it looked.

Speaker 13 (56:34):
Like we had that thing, but he used his athleticism
and jump a few of our guys in the end
own and I think they got an on side kick
and all that stuff.

Speaker 7 (56:43):
You know.

Speaker 13 (56:43):
The rest is history. But I'm I'm proud of Braylan.

Speaker 8 (56:46):
He's I've known him all his life and uh and
he's done well. He's represented well, So I'm.

Speaker 13 (56:52):
Happy for him.

Speaker 3 (56:53):
I love younger. I appreciate that answer. You're in trouble.

Speaker 4 (56:56):
We go to break that was I think there's a
couple of one was in Highland Park, I remember, and
then one one Saint Sicilian right there at South exactly
exactly you were over both.

Speaker 3 (57:12):
This is true, I do not deny.

Speaker 13 (57:14):
He still is well young man. I can still remember
number seventeen with the.

Speaker 8 (57:18):
Jets too, So there you go.

Speaker 3 (57:21):
Notice he named the team that was green and white.

Speaker 5 (57:23):
Right, hey, Greg, you got us back with the clock game.
You remember that one.

Speaker 3 (57:28):
I remember.

Speaker 5 (57:29):
Okay, we're even, we're even.

Speaker 3 (57:32):
Let's let let's let this man get out of here.
So he job you and George. I appreciate, thank you.

Speaker 5 (57:39):
Thank you, go pistol, Detroit basketball. Baby.

Speaker 3 (57:43):
I think we hung up on him that now got
out to Rick for not hanging it out.

Speaker 9 (57:49):
It's funny because I can't hear him, so I just
saw that he was still on, so I brought it
back up.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
We got time before break, and then he just.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
Started to talking.

Speaker 5 (57:56):
I was like, oh, that's perfect.

Speaker 3 (57:57):
It will shout out to you. I'm a broadcaster, man,
and I'm a broadcast great interview.

Speaker 4 (58:01):
Some people that come on as you do a tremendous job,
and he's one of those always. But you like what
he said about the Detroit Piston. He echoes the sentiments,
he appreciates. The reason why I asked a question about JB.
Bickerstaff is because as a novice, I want to know
what are you seeing from JB.

Speaker 3 (58:16):
Bickerstaff.

Speaker 4 (58:17):
I can hear from all these people that don't know anything,
but what are you saying from J. B. Bicker safs
And he let us know so I appreciate it. That's
why I wanted to get that question out there, and
he answered him full.

Speaker 5 (58:25):
I got my question out.

Speaker 3 (58:27):
You got a couple in the Beef ste was a
really good one.

Speaker 4 (58:30):
Beef ste like if he is able to play as
able to break that down because we talked about it
cat stepping out, he keeps going further back and there's
only so far that Jayalen Doran can go out too.
Beef still can go all the way out and come
back in. He's a smaller, smaller defenseman, so.

Speaker 5 (58:43):
Uh, don't expect him to play niece his niece bad.

Speaker 3 (58:48):
You heard what he said.

Speaker 4 (58:49):
He said, the fact that this is beef Stut that
is not playing. We know who Beef Steward is at
his core.

Speaker 5 (58:55):
They're holding him back because they don't want him to
hurt himself. Yeah, even because he don't, he'll go out there,
no dog, one leg. He'll go out there. And I'm
looking forward to tonight's game. And man, what he said
he thinks they could pull away. Like you said, Acid,
I do. I think this is a big momentum game.
We got a lot of super chats we gotta get
to after the break, of course, and we got a

(59:16):

Hold on before we have fun, let me do it
the super chats so they don't disappear. Off me been
ale aid sneaker Chick. Another ten from the girl on
what Braylin said. My dad introduced me to the Lions
when Billy Simms was playing. He called them silly BIMs.
That's been stuck with me ever since. He would have
loved these last couple of years, So shout out the

(01:03:52):
Sneaker Chick's dad. Michael davrees, the Pistols turnaround is nothing
short of amazing. If it were any other city, there
would be hour longs specials dedicated on national media. Dante
one fifty one. If I was Boston, I would want
the Knicks because the Knicks are hurting, but with the
Pistons it would be interesting and a tough matchup. Michael Weary,

(01:04:13):
I've been at Detroit Sports Fancs nineteen sixty five, Yes, sir,
I've seen everyone win a title except you know who,
the Lions. Please Lord, let me see the Lions win
before I come home. Mike, you gotta get in line. Yeah,
you got it. You gotta get in line for that one. Mike,
you gotta get lost for that one. Silly BIMs. I

(01:04:36):
love that.

Speaker 6 (01:04:37):
My brother and I used to play Billy Simms versus
Tony Dorset in the front yard when we were kids.

Speaker 5 (01:04:41):
I was I was silly BIMs. But my buddies and
I we have been.

Speaker 6 (01:04:46):
Flip flopping the first letters of guys' names for decades.

Speaker 5 (01:04:51):
Wedgie Rain one of my favorites.

Speaker 6 (01:04:53):
Mantana Sauce, and of course Mandy Ross are some of
the best that are out there. But while we're talking
about those super Chance, I want to remind you guys,
Braylan the legend himself is signing another rookie card. My
man Pete brought in three rookie Tiger cards, including Jackson
Job and some others.

Speaker 5 (01:05:13):
Got some throwback stuff here as.

Speaker 6 (01:05:15):
Well, and I got an unopened pack of Upper Deck
nineteen three ninety two ninety three hockey.

Speaker 5 (01:05:22):
That's gonna go home with you as well.

Speaker 8 (01:05:24):
Is there.

Speaker 13 (01:05:26):
There could be?

Speaker 5 (01:05:26):
I think that's the Timusalani rookie a whole lot, to
be honest.

Speaker 6 (01:05:32):
But yeah, of course once you, once you guys get
your super chat in, we're gonna put you on the wheel,
I'm sure in the next few moments. And here's how
the wheel there it is with that handsome guy in
the middle. There By the way, if anybody wants to
buy me a ticket behind the visitor's bench tonight, I
am worth two points every game that I heckle and

(01:05:53):
I haven't been to a playoff game since Hey, I
don't expect it to happen, but I'll throw it out there.
Universe might might give me an answer. But we appreciate
the super chats coming in, and of course we will
cut those off at three fifty and spin the wheel
at three fifty five, and we'll read any super chat that.

Speaker 5 (01:06:11):
Comes in, plus the guys that have won in the
past week. We will get your stuff out to you.

Speaker 6 (01:06:16):
We promise Tuesday. It's going on Tuesdays.

Speaker 5 (01:06:18):
It's a backup right now with the shipping department. Yes,
it's a backup, yes, sir, So tonight, man, I wish
I could get you to the game. I know for
sure I can't get you behind the bench, but maybe
I can get you up in the gondola somewhere if
you're interested. But you got don't you have work to
do tonight? Oh yeah, I got a lot of you
guys af tonight watch party.

Speaker 6 (01:06:36):
Great question, because at six point thirty we'll be starting
a little early with the Pistons watch party. But we're
doing things a little differently. We're gonna be going straight
through one show pregame, watch party, post game, and it's
gonna be a hell of a time. Make sure that
you join us after the heavyweights finish up.

Speaker 5 (01:06:58):
I do want to throw one thing out there today.

Speaker 6 (01:07:01):
Worst trade ever Brittany Grinder for the Merchant of Death?
Is that the worst trade ever? Because she's in the
news right now.

Speaker 5 (01:07:08):
Is she what does she do?

Speaker 3 (01:07:10):
She is trading?

Speaker 7 (01:07:12):
She has been.

Speaker 6 (01:07:15):
Well, no that you know the trade from Russia, but
she has been busted for gambling on her own games.

Speaker 5 (01:07:20):
Oh stop it, that's pretty bad. It's huge us.

Speaker 6 (01:07:26):
And she also has the same physiology of the Turkish boxer.

Speaker 5 (01:07:30):
Yeah, I know if you all know that that was
from the Olympics.

Speaker 6 (01:07:33):
I got that.

Speaker 5 (01:07:34):
That's the rumor out there. Hey, Freddie Felt, I have
as signed Brailn jersey framed at the crib right above
my signed Jalen Rose shorts. You know, Jalen Rose is
gonna be all over the place tonight. By the way,
if you sit behind Jalen Rose, I'm sorry, he's gonna
stand the entire game. He's a great fan, know what.

Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
He was going to Pisson games and nobody was that
was the one exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
He was one of the Pistons games in twenty one
to twenty three when everything happened, you know where see
him in the Pistons games. That's what led a lot
of people to think. I thought he was gonna work
in front office with the Pistons.

Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
Me too, I thought there was We did talk about it.

Speaker 5 (01:08:10):
I thought he might still could happen.

Speaker 4 (01:08:12):
True, he's a young man, true, but he's like the
most value Pistons fan, including the.

Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
Ones at one time.

Speaker 4 (01:08:19):
Spike Lee, his father was the first pick for the
Detroit Pistons back in seventy seven.

Speaker 5 (01:08:24):
Seventy whatever it was, you know your stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:08:27):
I try to do a little something Jimmy his father, you.

Speaker 6 (01:08:30):
Know, listen with Spike Lee running around and all of
his antics on our home floor.

Speaker 5 (01:08:36):
I'll take Jay Rose, who.

Speaker 6 (01:08:38):
Is the consummate Detroit Hooper Southwestern, Yeah, Michigan fab five,
you know, and this guy would easily be able to
identify as a pacer, even a nugget.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Man, identify words crazy, he identifies.

Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
Ben Stiller will be there tonight and with Timothy shallow
Man who was in l A last night with Kendall Jenner.

Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
Kyl still to stay home. Question.

Speaker 5 (01:09:07):
I could try, but did you.

Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Want I should put you guys against each other so
you can get it. Let's go the answer versus mask.
My goodness, answer versus mask.

Speaker 5 (01:09:16):
Oh, I can do that. That's a slider for the prize. Hey,
you got nineteen seventy stuff in there.

Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
Yeah, I'll just keep a couple of masks.

Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
Answers, all right, all right, go first question, which Piston
players hold the franchise record for most points scoring a
single playoff game?

Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
Sings? What's the number?

Speaker 5 (01:09:33):
I'm gonna say, Chauncey billups and answering.

Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
You want to say?

Speaker 7 (01:09:40):
Wow? What?

Speaker 3 (01:09:41):
That is a sweetest We now have an opening pete
for still.

Speaker 10 (01:09:47):
Well, I can't because I have the answer in front
of me.

Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
True. Yes, So nobody has ever heard of myather time.

Speaker 6 (01:09:55):
I would hope that it's Zeke, but I figured that's
a little too obvious. I know, Chipuka had big, big
forty three with that flowing locks of his him and
curtain Imphius man.

Speaker 5 (01:10:04):
They could have been doing some Dallas Soon Ymphius man.
You should see that guy.

Speaker 6 (01:10:12):
They should have been doing the Dallas Soon commercials together.

Speaker 5 (01:10:17):
Hey, hold on, we got a fifty dollars super sergeant
answer and I'll let you read Sergeant Curtis Shultz Star Wars.
Oh he's a Star Wars fan. Hell yeall shot shots?

Speaker 6 (01:10:30):
Can I get a you don't know your but better
call somebody and man give me a hell yeah? Detroy
basketball shut out.

Speaker 5 (01:10:42):
Sergeant Curtis shot fifty bucks man.

Speaker 3 (01:10:46):
I didn't chants.

Speaker 5 (01:10:47):
I appreciate that Shultz. Schultz wants that Brookie Card he
wants he wants the ants and grab bag today. Thank
you very much. There's a pause there. Someone back to stuff,
Back to stuff the crew.

Speaker 3 (01:11:00):
What year did the Detroit Pissons win their first NBA championship?

Speaker 5 (01:11:05):
Nineteen eighty nine, ding ding ding.

Speaker 10 (01:11:10):
Ding Ding Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding Ding.

Speaker 5 (01:11:13):
Who was their first finals appearance? Nineteen eighty eight, nineteen
eighty eight, eighty seven.

Speaker 6 (01:11:18):
No, way, way back, way back, way back with fort
Wayne pistons.

Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
Four pistons.

Speaker 5 (01:11:25):
Okay, you go, George Ardley.

Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
That was one of the questions too, because they got two.
They won two championships back in that era.

Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
No, No, I wish so what I wish they want
to No, they have five total, nozing three.

Speaker 5 (01:11:42):
You've been messing with me today. They got the trophies
out of little Caesars when you get there early. They
have the table with the three championship trophies eighty nine,
ninety and of course.

Speaker 6 (01:11:51):
Oh four eighty oh five makes me puked, maybe the most,
just because they should be tied with saying the fact
that Antonio Spurs have more championships vin the Detroit Pistons
will always hurt.

Speaker 3 (01:12:07):
Yeah, but it goes back to what we say about
the lead.

Speaker 4 (01:12:09):
The league always values other teams and at the Pistons
enter David Robinson, enter Tim Duncan, inter Victim Wibama and Tony.

Speaker 5 (01:12:16):
Insert Cooper flag.

Speaker 12 (01:12:18):
One of the saddest moments of my life was seeing
Antonio mcdiggity diggity dice at the end of the game,
at the end of the bench with bench, with that
look on his face of just like it's over, oh.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
Oh four oh four. The sweet loved it. I love
Ben Wallace, I love Ben Wallace. Uh, finally putting that
championship on the you know how they had the board.
I remember, I just loved everything about that team. Loved
everything about that team.

Speaker 3 (01:12:49):
Ricky, what about your mind doesn't like.

Speaker 5 (01:12:51):
I like Malice at the Palace to believe it or not? Yeah, Well,
I'll say, I'll go say oh.

Speaker 7 (01:12:56):
Four.

Speaker 9 (01:12:56):
Also, I was at the Palace when they had like
the champion ship, like like party after they won.

Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
I'll never forget.

Speaker 9 (01:13:03):
I recorded it too, Ben Wallace walking out with that
championship trophy at the end and Mason going like that's
memory that last a lifetime, right there.

Speaker 4 (01:13:11):
Man four on the memories, Like asking you was almost impossible,
but I would try.

Speaker 3 (01:13:17):
What is your favorite business moment?

Speaker 5 (01:13:19):
There's two?

Speaker 6 (01:13:20):
Okay, after the Celtics had won, and four we got
season tickets and four or excuse me, eighty four eighty
five and my dad came home. I waited up for
him and we had beaten the Boston Celtics and he
was so excited. We beat the world champs, but they

(01:13:40):
didn't have their their who's that dad, Larry Bird? So
that was my first moment that still sticks with me
so much. But it it came full circle in O four.
We had season tickets right behind the visitors bench and
my dad had sold them for Game five against the Lakers,
because well, you were getting a lot of money from
those LA fans that were coming into town.

Speaker 5 (01:14:02):
And he, uh, he faked me out.

Speaker 6 (01:14:05):
He had sold them and I didn't think that we
were gonna even be going to the game. And then
he's like, all right, we're going. I got some seats
for us. You're not gonna like him. Well, he ended
up getting a second row right behind the Pistons bench,
and we sat right in front of the owner of
Girls Gone Wild and man Jack Nicholson.

Speaker 3 (01:14:23):
Oh you see what happened that.

Speaker 5 (01:14:26):
Yeah, we don't need to go into that too.

Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
Didn't you like run to another country and get caught. Yeah,
well he was.

Speaker 5 (01:14:32):
He was under some serious litigation here and he fled
the country.

Speaker 6 (01:14:36):
But makes that that moment, you know, after going for
fifteen years without a championship, to be able to be
there with my father, the guy that I owe all
of my basketball background and all the moments basketball wise,
I owe to that man, to be able to sit
there with him and be an adult, you know, not
twelve thirteen years old the first time, and to be

(01:14:57):
able to sit there and turn around and rub it
Jack Nicholson's face. It was that that game, that game five,
the blowout, the flames, just the whole energy of that
stadium and a team that nobody thought could do it.

Speaker 5 (01:15:12):
In the gentleman's Sweepbob, shout out detouts Man, love you.

Speaker 4 (01:15:16):
I'll leave you guys with this, and then we can
switch because there's some interesting things going in the NFL. Man,
we can go around the NFL for a second. My
moment is different. I wasn't in Detroit. I wasn't here
at the time. Nineteen eighty nine, my mom my stepdad married,
moved to Georgia. I get to Georgia. All the kids
neighborhood a two years older than me. All the guys,
country boys, they grew up together, hated me. I'm the

(01:15:37):
city boy. I'm coming from Detroit. Detroit is this Detroit
is that Detroit's pimps. Detroit is what comes after pimps.
You know, Detroit's drugs, Detroita's black.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
I'm seven, mind you, but guess but guess what happened?
And guess what. I could always fall back on the pistols.

Speaker 4 (01:15:55):
I was like, well, my team won championship last year,
so the whole lead up to the summer, they're not
gonna win.

Speaker 3 (01:16:01):
It's not gonna be their years. Jordan is that whatever
it was, they won again. And guess what.

Speaker 4 (01:16:06):
Everybody had to be quiet for a day, but with
no Rick Mahorney, even the stolen.

Speaker 5 (01:16:10):
Don't forget the Pistons. One against is one again.

Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
With that being said, man put this picture up there, Pete.
If you see this picture picture night, at any time,
just know.

Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
Again they did win again. You see his picture of
my man, cheve Geach. I saw him before the Thursday game.
Uh not that when the picture I sent you.

Speaker 10 (01:16:35):
Oh, I'm so sorry, Bray, hang on, I've been so
busy my friend, Pete.

Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 10 (01:16:41):
I love you so much.

Speaker 8 (01:16:42):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 5 (01:16:42):
Breathe.

Speaker 3 (01:16:43):
We will pivot to after this.

Speaker 5 (01:16:47):
All right, here we go. Let's go around the NFL, Pete, hang.

Speaker 10 (01:16:52):
On, Sorry, guys, got three hundred things going.

Speaker 7 (01:16:54):
We go.

Speaker 2 (01:16:56):
I got the who's injured? It's time for around the
NFL with masks.

Speaker 5 (01:17:06):
All right, there's that chef keys. He's the guy that
ran on co America Park and did the song.

Speaker 4 (01:17:14):
Because he started when the Lions started winning, so carried
over and next year that's when the Tigers started winning,
and now the Pistons winning.

Speaker 10 (01:17:19):
So it seems like he might be a good luck
char real quick story about him.

Speaker 9 (01:17:25):
Years ago, when he first started off, I went to
a listening party for video of his he's with a
rap roop.

Speaker 3 (01:17:31):
He shot a music video.

Speaker 9 (01:17:32):
In the middle of the street one time, shut off nothing, everything.
The entire video was shot in the middle of the street.
He's one of the dopest artists ever.

Speaker 5 (01:17:38):
That's cool.

Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
You ever get a change, No, for sure, you know
we can change something. We had him on the show.
You guys had him on. I wasn't in that time,
so I reached out to my guys information.

Speaker 10 (01:17:46):
You got to deal with the NFL too.

Speaker 15 (01:17:48):
Man.

Speaker 5 (01:17:48):
They won't get him on after the game tomorrow so
he could say it.

Speaker 3 (01:17:52):
What is he gonna say?

Speaker 5 (01:17:53):
Man, you know the Pistons won again. That's just rap.
Is gonna rap? All right there, I.

Speaker 6 (01:17:59):
Would say, all right, good impression. I hope that you
caught Rick's impression of you on Tuesday.

Speaker 5 (01:18:05):
I didn't. Oh boy, oh boy, it's amazing. Thank you, Rick.
Did you hate? Did you hate? From your bottom of
your heart for a second? You know what I loved
last night? And I always do, you know, always flopping
around and like like like just flopping. No one's even

(01:18:26):
looking at him. They walk away now, no one looks
to check on him. He's like laying on the ground.
No one even looks at him. And then the other
night they caught him. He was like this, Oh yeah,
I love that. I love that that he wanted to
see if someone was looking at him, if the ref
bought in. So yeah, there's two photos on Twitter, one

(01:18:47):
of him like this and the other one of him
like that. Go back to reading your fake books.

Speaker 4 (01:18:52):
Look more than's giving you any leads, give you everything
that you've asked for, leaves, give you all that you've wanted.

Speaker 5 (01:18:59):
So, hey about the super chat before we do the NFL.
If the Pisses bring a trophy to Detroit, well, then
the Tigers can bring a World Series trophy, and then
the Lions can bring the Lombardi home. Thank you, William.
Another super chatter going on the wheel. Let's start you
off around the NFL. I'm gonna start you off with
the fan based tier. Now, someone did a fan based

(01:19:21):
tier JPA Football. Put this out JAS football. It's very good.
Look who's on top, as they should be, none other
that the best fans in the world. Your Detroit Lions
on the top, along with the Green Bay Packers and Bray.
You could read it from there.

Speaker 3 (01:19:39):
Yeah, if you look at the time tier.

Speaker 4 (01:19:41):
First thing it comes in my answ when we look
at the time tier, and then I'll get into the
list if you can see it, same thing, if you
first thing comes to mind.

Speaker 6 (01:19:49):
I mean, we're the best sports town in the country.
I was just kind of busy looking.

Speaker 5 (01:19:53):
For New York. I was they got them down a
bunch because they're garbage. Okay, eight teams society at all.

Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
I was gonna say, out of the three other five
teams that are in the top tier, they are all
in NFC North.

Speaker 5 (01:20:06):
Hey, how about it. It's the Vikings, it's the Packers,
It's the Bills, and the Seahawks, the twelfth man. Of course,
who's the go ahead?

Speaker 3 (01:20:15):
No, I was just looking at it. The worst franchisees.

Speaker 5 (01:20:17):
Great fans is next. You got the Saints, the Ravens,
the Bengals, the Buccaneers, and the forty nine Ers, followed
by the Steelers. Who else is in there? The Browns,
the Texans, the Titans, and the Indianapolis Colts. I've got
an issue with the Steelers being that, well, Steelers should
be up with us on the top of Every girl

(01:20:38):
in Pittsburgh is clad in Steelers gear. Yeah, let mean, look,
let me look at this.

Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
Let me look at this list again and break you
got a party hanging. Let me let me look at
this again.

Speaker 4 (01:20:47):
So out of the top tier, man, let's start there.
Would you replace anybody in this top tier in acid teams?
That's what we should have started.

Speaker 5 (01:20:54):
Oh yeah, I think I would. I'm gonna start with
moving the Steelers up the line, okay, and I gotta
see it up on the aboard here again, I'm always
behind them in my eyes, I don't have my glasses.
What do you want to know, Thomas, It's okay, I'm
gonna wait for there it is. I could see it now.
Saint fans, good, Raven fans, good, Bengo fans. I don't
know about them. Buccaneers fans, I don't know about them.

(01:21:17):
Forty nine Ers fans, I really don't know about them
as well. Cleveland for sure belongs there. Houston, come on,
what's Euston doing there? The Steelers for sure, The Titans
I don't know, Colts, I don't know the next line.
The Rams on the okay, fans. Rams should be at
the bottom on the bottom right with the Chargers and

(01:21:39):
the Cardinals and the Jags and the Panthers. Washington should
definitely move up.

Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
Yeah, Washington.

Speaker 5 (01:21:46):
Washington fans are rabbit. Sure they sucked in the past,
but when the Redskins were around, they were right up
there on the top two lines in the middle. The
Bears fans, they got to be moved up a little bit,
don't you think. Don't you think the Bears got to
move up. Raiders fans, well, they've been so disposed. They
have like four homes.

Speaker 4 (01:22:07):
That's why I'm gonna go to a lot of these
teams I think deserve to go up, like the Raiders,
like just to team when I play.

Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
The Raiders are one of the fan base. But guess what,
they're no longer. They're in Vegas.

Speaker 4 (01:22:18):
You look at you look at the Charge, the Rams,
look at the Chargers, you look at the Commanders. You
look at a lot of these teams.

Speaker 3 (01:22:24):
They have new homes.

Speaker 5 (01:22:25):
How about the Eagles, They should move up.

Speaker 4 (01:22:27):
But they're insufferable. This list is different because that's what
I had to read this though. It says insufferable.

Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
That makes sense.

Speaker 4 (01:22:33):
The Cowboys, Giants, Eagles batteries. That line is that line
is almost perfectly I'm sorry, okay.

Speaker 6 (01:22:42):
Fans, how the Patriots have fallen?

Speaker 13 (01:22:46):
Oh my god?

Speaker 4 (01:22:47):
That for God's sake, see this, I would I would
classify it different, like insufferable for me would be great
because that's what you want your fan.

Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
Base to be.

Speaker 5 (01:22:58):
Steeler fans maybe belong down there. What do you think
of that? I mean, it's easy to root for a winner, right,
it's easy to root for a winner. They were a
winner in the seventies and eighties, and then.

Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
I played for Brown, so I'm always feeling there's a
lot of losses.

Speaker 5 (01:23:13):
I don't know why the Giant fans are in the
insufferable won anything. I spent a lot of time in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 8 (01:23:22):
Man.

Speaker 6 (01:23:22):
They are so religious about their teams down there, whether
it's the Penguins, whether it's the Pirates. I mean they
are all the same colors down there.

Speaker 5 (01:23:30):
Don't support the Pirates, by the way, which they don't
support the Pirates, really they don't. But the Pirates are awful.
They need a new owner. You think we always yell
for a new owner here. The Pirates need a new owner.
Pas great park man. I don't know not if not
if they don't want to pay him, because he's gonna
make a lot of money. By the way, side note,
did you see the fan Yeah, at Pittsburgh last night. Oh,

(01:23:55):
he dropped. He dropped thirty feet off the cemente right
field wall. Now to me, it looked like he threw
himself over, so I've got he had no short I'm
gonna guess he was drunk. Think I got an inside
story on that, and I'd like to know. I heard
a call, so well, it's okay. He's in critical condition
right now.

Speaker 6 (01:24:13):
I heard a call from uh, some guy that actually
has family there and they were sitting in his section.
I guess he was drunk the whole game. Look at me,
Look at me. At one point he ripped off his
shirt and poured a beer over his head. And it
wasn't for trying to catch a pop fly or anything.
It was literally a single that he got so excited.
And I believe he was in the second row, but

(01:24:34):
he jumped up so much and was so drunk loss
himself fell over the front seat and tumbled twenty one feet.

Speaker 5 (01:24:39):
It was horrible. Yeah, it looked like a rag though
not a video you want to watch.

Speaker 3 (01:24:43):
Yeah, I haven't say.

Speaker 5 (01:24:44):
You know what they got him. They started the game
ten minutes after How how did you even finish that game?

Speaker 3 (01:24:53):
On the thing?

Speaker 4 (01:24:54):
That sounds about that is the schedule. It's always about schedules,
not like you can just hold it. Just like when
the thing happened to Marham. Yeah, like you got two points, Like, hey,
look if we don't do this, this is will come next.
It sucks, but you got to move it up.

Speaker 9 (01:25:05):
I learned that.

Speaker 4 (01:25:06):
I learned that when I was playing at Michigan. When
someone would get hurt is the first time I saw it.
You know, somebody's hurt in high school, especially if it's
a major place, you should have practiced down Almost Lloyd
Carr's infamous phrase, move it up ten.

Speaker 3 (01:25:20):
Yards first down.

Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
Only time he didn't move it up ten yards first
down was when Drew Henson broke his ankle in two thousand.

Speaker 6 (01:25:29):
He was like, man, is it there's a legendary name.
I'd love to talk about one day.

Speaker 3 (01:25:35):
He lives around the cross he used to.

Speaker 5 (01:25:36):
He pitched for the Yankees right at least in their minors. Ay,
a couple super chats coming in, Michael Weary Again, what
other city has three playoff teams at a fourth loaded
and we travel everywhere for all sports we do. We're
one of the best traveling the best cities. Well right
there with Pittsburgh. The Steeler fans. They travel, but we're

(01:25:57):
right there with them and Burn. It's not hard to
be a Steelers fan. That's what I said when if
they suffered, but they were Insufferabolt Burn. The fans at
the top either have been tortured or owned the team.
Seahawks are sus about that. Burns called the Seahawks sus Yeah,
I was gonna bring them up.

Speaker 3 (01:26:15):
I played for Seattle. I was with the Twelfth Man.

Speaker 4 (01:26:17):
They mean now if you means such like I mean
says I have no comment on that, but or like
I understand them to mean to have no comment. But
the great fans like that place is loud Century Link
when when I was there, like the other teams, the opponents, they.

Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
Hated playing there. You can see them struggling on the field.

Speaker 4 (01:26:35):
The infamous rate was at the Refs game where it
was the the replacement res yes in the against Green
Bay Man them crowd was so loud and then I
was just watching because I wasn't playing very much.

Speaker 5 (01:26:46):
So that was that was something, man, you were at
that game. That was some game. That that was some games.
Hey back to the NFL, Roger Goodell, the other day
during the draft, says the NFL will play three Christmas
Day games every year going forward, doesn't matter if it's
a Monday or Tuesday, or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday.

(01:27:09):
Three games on Christmas Day? What say you? NBA ansien,
I love it. Hey, listen the goat.

Speaker 6 (01:27:18):
They still increase viewership, They still chosen one has buried viewership.
They lost the rights to Christmas. I loved watching football
on Christmas, but hey, I'll watch both.

Speaker 5 (01:27:30):
I got no issues with.

Speaker 2 (01:27:31):
It at all.

Speaker 5 (01:27:33):
It looks like YouTube and Amazon will own that day. Yeah,
games on YouTube, one game on Amazon or vice versa
every other year. So get ready for football every Christmas Day.
My mother in law is gonna be complaining about that.

Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
The only thing I'll say about it is the NBA.
It was your job to keep moving things forward.

Speaker 5 (01:27:51):
Like knew.

Speaker 4 (01:27:52):
You saw the pace that the NFL was on. They
were getting to the point they were adding a seventeenth game.
They were adding this, they were trying to play on
different days at college team traditionally played on You knew
they were coming.

Speaker 3 (01:28:02):
For this spot, but you didn't set it up in
a certain way.

Speaker 4 (01:28:04):
But maybe you put seven games on on Christmas, or
maybe you had specialty games, or maybe you played in
a certain spot.

Speaker 3 (01:28:10):
You didn't get creative in that space, and the NFL said,
excuse me, cause you move over. Yeah, it took over.
That's on the NBA.

Speaker 5 (01:28:16):
They tried the NBA, remember with the different uniforms and
stuff like that. But that stuff was that kind of
fell fell away to the side.

Speaker 4 (01:28:22):
But that stuff was cool mass but like after a
certain while, now you have to up your game in creation,
Like after a while, like the kids that loved the
jersey's like they're no longer eighteen nineteen twenty, like thirty
like thirty five is all right?

Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
Can you do something new? Like what's the new thing
that you're going to do.

Speaker 5 (01:28:38):
So it's the only downside about Christmas Day games, three
of them, I think, honestly, I think it's too much.
I think Christmas Day is a day you stay with
your family. Even I have to agree with my mother
in law a little here on this one. She hated
Thanksgiving Day football, which I told her, don't. Thanksgiving is football, Yes,

(01:28:59):
it is football. Christmas Day. Can you imagine you're a
beat rider, You're a player, you got little kids you
gotta play on Christmas Day, you can't open presence, you
can't see what's saying abroad, stuff like that. So that's
a downside because the Lions will playing on Christmas Day.
So US detroiters that cover that cover the team, guess

(01:29:22):
what we're gonna be at the games or where you
be on the road or whatever it's gonna happen three
games they might be playing every other freaking year.

Speaker 4 (01:29:31):
The one thing about the NBA that I will say,
thinking about after they made that comment is you know
what they do do now? I don't hate their phrase,
but you know what they do now? They do the
mid season tournament or they do the beginning season tournament,
and when does that take place?

Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
In December? So I think that's kind of where their
focus is going out and have no cho Yeah, that
makes sense.

Speaker 5 (01:29:50):
We keep it going here with the Seahawks, on Draft
Day traded Sam Howell to the Minnesota Vikings. And all
they had to do is swap draft picks late in
a round. So Sam Howell basically are gifted to the
Minnesota Vikings. He will sit behind JJ McCarthy. Now, asked
JJ McCarthy the other day, JJ, are you ready to

(01:30:13):
be the starter for the Vikings.

Speaker 13 (01:30:17):
I know I'm ready to start.

Speaker 16 (01:30:19):
I appreciate that question, Kevin, because all the work I
put in and just the confidence of my skills and
abilities and just being able to do my job and simplify,
simplify things to you know, the best of my ability
every single day, and you know, just taking one day
at a time, one play at a time. And you know,
I have a tremendous coaching staff, a tremendous group of

(01:30:40):
guys around me that I can lean on and they
can lean on me.

Speaker 5 (01:30:43):
Are they ready? Bray? Is he ready?

Speaker 3 (01:30:45):
That boy went to Michigan?

Speaker 5 (01:30:46):
Is he ready?

Speaker 4 (01:30:47):
He's exuding confidence, He's exuding that media school that Bruce
Misi headed up.

Speaker 5 (01:30:51):
Shout to Bruce Mady. I love you, Bruce guy too.

Speaker 4 (01:30:55):
I think so like when you listen to this, I
don't hear coach speak, or I don't hear players speak.
I don't hear just this is at the podium because Sam,
how's coming in? Or you know, this is what I'm
supposed to do. I think you see a player that
has gone through something. I think you see a player
that got hurt.

Speaker 5 (01:31:09):
It looks like it grew up a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:31:10):
Did I think you see even from when we saw
him at the end of the regular season. I think
you saw a player that went through injury. He went
through that season, had another surgery to make sure that
it was right. He had to watch this thing play out.
He was humble, he was trying to figure things out.
And then you see him after the season. They made
some comments about how skinny he was and all that.
I think what this shows me as a player that

(01:31:32):
you know, I wasn't doing this when I was at Michigan.
I wasn't tapping to the outside. I wasn't tapping into
what people were saying. You remember what Michigan said. Michigan
was everything in arbor. The outside is going to be outside.
He dealt with a lot of distraction his time at
University of Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:31:47):
So he knows how to do it. I think you
saw somebody that remembered that about himself. And then once
the knee hill. Now you're young, you see the knee Hell, okay, cool,
I'm okay.

Speaker 4 (01:31:56):
The kneest hilling. The team, trust me. There's no Sam
dar He didn't get paid. They haven't bought in Aaron
Rodgers yet. I think you see a guy that's confident
he is ready for what's coming this year. It's early,
but I'm so right now to this point.

Speaker 6 (01:32:11):
Well, I'm saying it's early, but the early reports suggest
the fact that the twenty twenty four draft class was
the greatest quarterback class that we've seen this century. And
that's the second best quarterback in the class.

Speaker 5 (01:32:25):
I've told you guys all last year. I'm gonna tell
you again over Drake May.

Speaker 6 (01:32:30):
Over Drake May and bow Knicks and the catfish.

Speaker 5 (01:32:32):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (01:32:33):
Okay, I've said it from from day one. You alluded
to it a little bit. This guy who is this guy?
We kind of want to see him now. We want
to see him over Kate McNamara. Now he's our starter,
go in a national championship, kid, dude. And it's great
because I can really root for him now.

Speaker 5 (01:32:50):
Even though he's a Viking, but he's on my dynasty team.

Speaker 6 (01:32:53):
And I did that for a reason because this kid
has everything you can ask for from a young qu quarderback.

Speaker 5 (01:33:00):
But he's got it here and he's got it here too.

Speaker 6 (01:33:03):
This guy can run away from anybody on the field,
he can make every throw on the field, and I
think that he's his year off is going to suit
him so well. You get a guy with without a
big ego in Darnold ahead of him, and now you
get a guy and Sam Howell that doesn't have a
big ego behind him.

Speaker 5 (01:33:21):
Pause.

Speaker 6 (01:33:22):
But these this young man is gonna make a lot
of Wolverine fans very very proud of him. And I'll
tell you what, he's gonna piss a lot of Lions
fans off because we're gonna be dealing with him in
the North for a very long time.

Speaker 4 (01:33:35):
JJ McCarthy is what's happening. This is gonna be interesting,
This is gonna be interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:33:41):
Comparison. I don't know if I'm right off on him.
I'm just willing it out.

Speaker 4 (01:33:44):
JJ McCarthy is comparable to Shadua Sanders, but fast, fast, faster,
way faster, But he's comparable. There were many, many questions
about j. J. McCarthy, many many questions about Jase follow
me following You think I'm going somewhere that I'm not.
There are many many questions about JJ McCarthy, many many questions.

(01:34:06):
There are many many questions about Shuis Andrews. When you
turn JJ McCarthy's taple on, what did you see? You
saw someone that can lead. You saw one that was physical,
you saw someone that was tough. You saw someone that
can do the things that you could put the right
team around and you can have success. That player all
he did when he went to the podium every time,
I can do this, this is what I'm gonna be.
I let my teammates blah blah blah. He did that

(01:34:27):
the coaches speak. It worked for him because he got
drafted ninth overall. Shout out to Gibbey walking in right now.
It went for him nine overall.

Speaker 3 (01:34:36):
He was drafted. But then you should do it same
type of situation.

Speaker 4 (01:34:40):
You see the thing with cam Ward. You know what
I'm saying, Let's do a let's do a song. You
want to do a song, No, I just play football.
Then you hear about what happened in interviews or then
you hit it with the podium and how he was.
If he wouldn't have been that way, A lot of
people say it would have been the same thing with
Jaj McCarthy or if Dion's not talking, that's I mean
when the door situation.

Speaker 5 (01:35:02):
Ye, you can talk yourself out of being drafted high.

Speaker 3 (01:35:05):
We've seen that, especially when you're not especially when there's whole.

Speaker 4 (01:35:08):
So if j J would have talked, if j J
would have been like, yo, like no, I'm going here,
I'm doing this, if JJ's moxy would have matched a
little second, it.

Speaker 3 (01:35:15):
Would have been like, look at your film. Yeah we're good.
We'll pass.

Speaker 5 (01:35:24):
His father, hey burn on the super chat. The Vikings
will find a way to mess it up.

Speaker 13 (01:35:28):
Why.

Speaker 6 (01:35:28):
I'm not saying that he's wrong in that, but that
kid is going to be a hell of a quarterback
in this league. Did you watch his one preseason game?
Came out, turned the ball over early, and then just
like he has his whole career, he adjusted, got better.

Speaker 5 (01:35:43):
He looked magnificent in that game. We'll be talking about
JJ McCarthy like this, I don't think you had it
in yet.

Speaker 3 (01:35:51):
This is why you have to appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (01:35:53):
This is why you have to appreciate the banter and
the rivary with individuals that know how to all right,
separate the rivalry from what you really see.

Speaker 3 (01:36:00):
The people that keep taking it to the NFL is like, yeah,
you're moron.

Speaker 5 (01:36:04):
Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (01:36:05):
The people was like, all right, cool, he's now not
in an arbor or he's no longer and he's lancing well,
this is what this kid is.

Speaker 3 (01:36:10):
But this is what this player is like. That's how
it's supposed to be.

Speaker 5 (01:36:13):
I'm supposed to not even like you or be friends
with you.

Speaker 3 (01:36:15):
In that case, I would have never liked Plasgow Birds.
But that's a lot I did.

Speaker 5 (01:36:19):
Hey, I beat Plastico in the game of pool.

Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
I believe he probably was blowed.

Speaker 5 (01:36:24):
That was Where was that? Oh man, it was at snookers. No,
it was at the riv Aka, the heav up in
East Lansing.

Speaker 4 (01:36:31):
All right, all right, look we've gone over. We've been
having some fun doing some things. Talking from NFL all day.

Speaker 5 (01:36:38):

Speaker 6 (01:42:13):
I got to meet him and he sat and talked

Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
He's a good dude.

Speaker 5 (01:42:19):
He's really cool. That's my quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:42:23):
He's just sensitive guy.

Speaker 4 (01:42:24):
We had a miscommunication and he got pissed up. But Maz,
the abdual car story is very interesting. And I told
you as a as a giant slappy as you're talking
about those eighties, I'm an LT slappy there.

Speaker 3 (01:42:37):
He is talking about LT fifty.

Speaker 5 (01:42:39):
Abdul Carter, the number one pick of the New York
Giants' stay phenomenal, phenomenal defensive end. He's going to be amazing.
The Giant defense is going to be off the freaking hook.
No one's gonna want to be playing against them. Well,
he decided that he wants to wear Lawrence Taylor's number
fifty six. So he says, LT, uh, do you mind

(01:43:02):
if we take your fifty six out of retirement? LT
told them you could tell you could read it. Basically,
take a hike, kid.

Speaker 3 (01:43:11):
Here you go right here.

Speaker 4 (01:43:12):
This is after he was as I know he would
love to wear the number, but hey, I think it's retired.
Get another number. I don't care if it's double zero,
and then make it famous.

Speaker 6 (01:43:24):
That's what you said, Phil Sims eleven retired?

Speaker 5 (01:43:26):
Is that the deal? Phil Simms eleven is retired as well,
But fifty six is retired and will never be touched
again by another Giant. And uh, you said it last week,
And I forgot who wanted to change numbers last week?
It was no, it was no something, it was another yes,
thank you, you said, go make your own that number,

(01:43:48):
get your own number and make it your own. You
said it.

Speaker 3 (01:43:51):
This is my thing.

Speaker 4 (01:43:52):
When I came into the league, I didn't want to
wear eighty because eighty was My favorite player was Jerry Rice,
but it was the number.

Speaker 3 (01:43:57):
It was eighty eighty eighty was Chris Carters, Jerry Irvan Frank.

Speaker 4 (01:44:00):
And this like I wanted to make something my own,
Like you're talking about going into a place where a
guy has stories in folklore about him, Like the stories
you hear about LT, they sound like something that was
like made up, and it's not. Why would you want
to attempt to get that number? Like, and I understand
you know you want, Well, he's attempted. Why this is LT?

(01:44:23):
Why would you go to Minnesota and get eighty four?

Speaker 3 (01:44:26):
Why would you go to why would you go to
excuse me, Sam fran and we're sixteen, Why.

Speaker 5 (01:44:30):
Would you ask for let's go to Boston and.

Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
Let's go to Boston we're twelve.

Speaker 5 (01:44:35):
Yeah, And Aaron Rodgers didn't even ask. He told Joe Namath,
I'm not touting your number number twelve and he rocked
us old and he watched his old college number.

Speaker 4 (01:44:43):
Aaron Rodgers was born in eighty three. We had respecting
it because our parents, our grandparents, our great grandparents.

Speaker 3 (01:44:49):
They gave us that respect. Like, look, this is what
it is.

Speaker 4 (01:44:52):
I get it, make your you know, like get the number,
change the game, and now it becomes your number.

Speaker 3 (01:44:57):
But that'll never be your number.

Speaker 5 (01:44:59):
But guess what if you remember Pat Swelling when he
signed with the Lions back in the nineties, he asked
Joe Schpeck, did I take your fifty six out of Irigi?

Speaker 7 (01:45:06):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (01:45:07):
And he said yeah, go ahead, and Swelling fell on
his face.

Speaker 6 (01:45:10):
Yep, I should tell you before we started doing the
show together seventeen.

Speaker 5 (01:45:15):
In my brain it's Brayln Edwards.

Speaker 3 (01:45:18):
I appreciate that. I wish they did that in Michigan.

Speaker 4 (01:45:21):
If you want to be truthful, I get it, because
even at the Michigan level, you keep giving guys number one.

Speaker 3 (01:45:25):
Every wide receiver that they give it number one. Since
I'm beg two.

Speaker 5 (01:45:28):
Number ones it was one on defense and offense, then well.

Speaker 4 (01:45:30):
It's been like five receivers or six receivers. Aware, don't
you know all of them transferred. That's my issue with it.
You're not even getting the guys a gun. If you're
gonna give somebody one break my records, give some break
my records, give it to somebody that you know. Stop
giving it to these guys and wear it for one year.
Coca Crawford gone, uh uh, kids, go on and on,
you know what, going and on?

Speaker 5 (01:45:51):
He can get deeper. Not on the same team.

Speaker 6 (01:45:55):
Kobe Bryant did not take his idol's number, but of
course Lebron is around in the oh at your boy hey,
while Mads going sick over there. Give everybody the four
minute warning. You've got four minutes to get in the
super chat and get yourself another opportunity or your first
opportunity to take home this awesome prize package along with

(01:46:20):
the Braylen Edwards signed rookie card.

Speaker 5 (01:46:23):
I think we got some coming in right now. Sergeant
Schultz hit it again.

Speaker 3 (01:46:29):
Today.

Speaker 5 (01:46:30):
He said, what is each of your favorite print song
and what's Detroit team should play it?

Speaker 6 (01:46:36):
Dor tis Diamonds and Pearls. I know it's really kind
of a little later on and people don't love it.
I don't know something about Diamonds and Pearls.

Speaker 5 (01:46:45):
I love that song. I'll go Little Red Corvette for
the Red Wings. Sure, Purple Rain, Red.

Speaker 8 (01:46:53):
Prince.

Speaker 3 (01:46:56):
I couldn't do it.

Speaker 6 (01:46:57):
Party like it's nineteen ninety nine a bad so that's
impossible for me.

Speaker 3 (01:47:02):
Darlnd Nikki is a great song. Darl Ni Diana, Like,
that's a good question.

Speaker 10 (01:47:08):
Every song you say, I'm gonna keep like.

Speaker 4 (01:47:10):
Yeah, before we get Yesterday, the Detroit Tigers, they did
come up, get a win.

Speaker 3 (01:47:16):
The wet and Hobby buy it.

Speaker 5 (01:47:19):
Let's show that pack.

Speaker 10 (01:47:22):
Let me turn the camera.

Speaker 5 (01:47:23):
Slam El Mago is back. He's back. He plays any
position you want. He's hitting over three hundred. Hit a
grand slam yesterday. And the Tigers held on for dear life.
They were they were up seven nothing. They won seven
to four. They got out of there. Jackson Joe went
four plus innings. Uh, he looks all right, but he

(01:47:43):
still got some growing to do.

Speaker 3 (01:47:45):
I better start getting some credit. I told you you
want to play the Commanders, and I told you cat
was gonna be a problem. I told you.

Speaker 4 (01:47:54):
But watching it, it's funny because playing golf, I'm related
to golf. Hip coming through that grand slam, net phone
was perfect.

Speaker 3 (01:48:03):
Keep dying the ball, Hip, turn on the ball.

Speaker 4 (01:48:06):
He came't he was still was looking as he folled
through was and what he is I'm telling you, man,
how he might be fixed.

Speaker 5 (01:48:11):
They're at the Angels for the next four nights. Casey
Miz goes tonight. I'm looking for big things. Aut of
number twelve on the hill tonight. That's gonna be a
good thing. Let me give you my quick hockey second
thirty seconds of the Stanley real quick. You got one
more minute left in. We got another super check coming in.

Speaker 6 (01:48:29):
Get those in, give Pete some work and let's say
there's twenty seconds of hockey.

Speaker 5 (01:48:33):
I'll reach your super chat. I guess all I'm saying
is Detroit basketball gets the w James Weatherill and here
we go with the hockey s the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Florida my pick to win the Stanley Cup again. They
knocked out Tampa Bay in five games, six to three.
In the final, Jets over the Blues five to three.
So Winnipeg's up three to two tonight. We got Toronto

(01:48:56):
and Ottawa Vegas and the wild Stars and Avalanche l
A and the Oilers. All four games can end tonight,
all four series can They can all go to Game seven,
which will be nice.

Speaker 4 (01:49:10):
It's funny that sports players make you feel old. It's
not life that makes you feel low, it's sports. Because
when I'm watching Aaron Rodgers over the last couple of
years and I realized I got drafted in the same class,
and I'm watching him just have white hair ins there
and he just can't get up after players and he's
looking broken. Yesterday. You see Alexandro when we first got drafted.
Hero over here, the booty face.

Speaker 3 (01:49:30):
Now all of a sudden, it's white everywhere. It's like, man,
we're getting to that age.

Speaker 5 (01:49:35):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:49:35):
But good for him for when they win caps get
the w.

Speaker 5 (01:49:38):
Oh, we got another late entry right.

Speaker 6 (01:49:41):
Legend himself.

Speaker 5 (01:49:42):
Here's a funny fact.

Speaker 3 (01:49:43):
He does that if you notice always at the buzzer.

Speaker 5 (01:49:47):
There's a fun fact from Dante one to five to one,
Riley Green's home run song. It's square Dance by Eminem
one of my favorite Eminem songs. And leminem rep from
Dante fifty one and Riley Green starting to come out
of that slump, which is good to see. Hey, I
got a couple more NFL things before we get to
the wheel. How about putting up feet the top selling

(01:50:10):
NFL drafts jerseys. So these are the top picks in
the jerseys. Let's look at him and Bray and Anson
and the rest of the team here. Tell me if
anything surprises you here, No top selling NUMP selling jerseys.

Speaker 3 (01:50:23):
Number one makes sense. He won the Heisman. He's a
dual threat.

Speaker 4 (01:50:26):
He's something we've never seen. Number two is the number
one pick overall is what they should do. You know
the story, you know the last name is the hope
is to support three asking Jensy. They've been talking about
him for a year plus and they think he's gonna
turn the franchise around. And Dart makes sense. Carter makes sense. Yeah,

(01:50:47):
I mean it's it makes it's the names we know
from the draft.

Speaker 5 (01:50:50):
For the most point, Matthew Golden, the wide receiver, is
gonna wear twenty two. A wide receiver wearing twenty two,
I don't think that's going to happen.

Speaker 4 (01:50:57):
They used to wear it in college when I was playing,
Like twin two is big num. The guys in Texas,
like Ship Lee and those guys, they used to wear
twenty two.

Speaker 10 (01:51:04):
Was that Doug Flute's number?

Speaker 7 (01:51:05):
What was that?

Speaker 10 (01:51:06):
Was that Doug Flute's number at Boston College? It was
I think he was twenty two. Twenty threw that bomb
when he threw that, just a college bomb.

Speaker 5 (01:51:14):
My favorite twenty two is Mike Bossi, of course from
the Islanders. My favorite slaty you like Spider, he wore
twenty two. He did, all right. Mercury Morris wore twenty
two for the Morris, the Great, late Great Eugene Mercury
Morris from the Undefeated through Dolphins.

Speaker 6 (01:51:33):
So while we let Pete work his wheel and get
it prepped for the spin. I know I didn't get
a chance last week because we were having so much
fun giving stuff away.

Speaker 5 (01:51:42):
But I got questions and I need some answers.

Speaker 6 (01:51:46):
Well, good, good, all right, So your crypto has come in.
All right, I don't have any you do, though, Okay,
all right, so your crypto has come in. You sold
that uh Honus Wagner card you had that you forgot about.
But you are a boltie billionaire and well your whole life.

(01:52:06):
You said, I want I'd love to own a sports franchise.
So which sports franchise are you buying?

Speaker 5 (01:52:12):
And what is your first move? Mans? Why didn't you
start us off? Oh well, if dreams could come true,
I would own the New York Yankees. Okay, I would
own the New York Yankees. So I'm gonna say, with
my cheap money that I got from crypto, I'll tell
you what, I'll buy the Miami Marlins. Because a I

(01:52:35):
want to live in Miami. Okay, b I like that
stadium and I could do a lot more to it. Three,
I will give the fans back because the owner right
now of the Miami Orleans is robbing them. He's spending
nothing on that team. I would build that team. I
would bring Don Mattingly back, and I would bring Don

(01:52:56):
Derek Jeter back. Two guys I got fired from that
that that team, He's got a whole list of I
would bring them back. He's ready to run my team,
Miami Marlins. I have no love for them, but I
just want to live in Miami and they're cheap. There
you go, how about you, Rick?

Speaker 9 (01:53:14):
If I can't buy the Lion's obviously perfect, I will
probably buy the Raiders and take them back to Oakland
because I think that's.

Speaker 3 (01:53:20):
Where they need to be. Like that, and I can
live in California.

Speaker 5 (01:53:23):
I didn't think about that.

Speaker 10 (01:53:24):
And I can live in California, not in Oakland, but
in California.

Speaker 5 (01:53:26):
I might as well take the Charges back to San Diego.
Then that's the best place to live.

Speaker 10 (01:53:31):
I'll do the right or or the Rams back to
Saint Louis.

Speaker 3 (01:53:35):
I might do that.

Speaker 5 (01:53:36):
Saint Louis is gonna get a team.

Speaker 3 (01:53:37):
Okay, never mind mass forget it.

Speaker 5 (01:53:40):
They're good. Man, say in California, Pete, Pete, what are
you doing?

Speaker 7 (01:53:44):
Man?

Speaker 6 (01:53:44):
What are you what franchise you're taking over?

Speaker 5 (01:53:46):
And what are you doing? Well?

Speaker 12 (01:53:47):
You know me and dude, you and I talk about
value for your bucke. It's always about the ROI return
on your investment. That's the only way you can do business.
So I have to put my heart away. I cannot
select the Detroit team. It's too small of a market
for my money. I'm going with the La Rams Baby
because the l A Rams now only had the coach.

Speaker 3 (01:54:06):
They have.

Speaker 12 (01:54:07):
The momentum right now is one of the hot you
talk about buying a team like right now. As we said,
it'll be the La Rams Baby because they got the
momentum right now. They have the sexiness that I like
for a franchise.

Speaker 5 (01:54:17):
You're taking them to Saint Louis.

Speaker 10 (01:54:19):
I'm taking No, I'm not taking them. They're They're staying
in LA We're gonna party stadium.

Speaker 12 (01:54:23):
I'm gonna invest more money than you could possibly thinking stadium.

Speaker 10 (01:54:27):
All concessions go to like three dollars popcorn, two dollars
hot dogs.

Speaker 5 (01:54:31):
One of the people.

Speaker 10 (01:54:33):
This is going on, that's what happens.

Speaker 5 (01:54:36):
Says I'd buy the Tigers from pizza boy. I don't
hate that.

Speaker 13 (01:54:39):
Boy.

Speaker 5 (01:54:40):
I'm very curious to hear yours.

Speaker 3 (01:54:42):
Mine is easy.

Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
Look as a black man, I would have to take
that into the equation. So I want to be around
some more people.

Speaker 3 (01:54:47):
Atlanta, Ohlanta would be the move. Man has already said
which team the Hawks.

Speaker 5 (01:54:53):
Oh, I'm gonna put the Hawks on the map.

Speaker 3 (01:54:55):
I'm about the Atlanta Hawks relevant. I absolutely agree. I
would buy the Hawks. I would, I would, I would.

Speaker 4 (01:55:03):
I would infuse the Atlanta culture. Also, I would change
a couple of things.

Speaker 5 (01:55:09):
Change their colors. They're pretty iconic.

Speaker 4 (01:55:12):
I'm to find it, find another way to do it.
I wouldn't change that color scheme that especially the red,
yellow and white one. I wouldn't change the color scheme.
Give me the Hawks, though, I think that would be
a good. When I spent time there as a kid,
five years cheap, I remember when they played at the
Omni played the Omni Center.

Speaker 3 (01:55:30):
So give me the give me, give me the Falcons.

Speaker 4 (01:55:32):
I mean to give me the Hawks, but I know
that they're already well, they're already done right. The Yankees
already done right. I'm not taking the franchise.

Speaker 5 (01:55:40):
That's why I took the monologs smart.

Speaker 3 (01:55:42):
I would take the Hawks.

Speaker 6 (01:55:43):
See that squad right there, hang on, Oh yeah, the Pistons,
I see them. I mean, I love all of our teams.
I'm not trying to put anybody else on the map.
I'm taking the Detroit Pistons back to Pontiac. It's happening Japan. Now,
you guys can think I'm crazy. I don't know whether
I rebuild the Palace, whether I resurrect the Silver Dome.

Speaker 3 (01:56:06):
Why are you taking it out of Detroit?

Speaker 5 (01:56:08):
The Detroit I get it, man, I get it.

Speaker 6 (01:56:10):
I cannot stand that stadium.

Speaker 5 (01:56:12):
I cannot stand trying to park.

Speaker 6 (01:56:14):
I can't stand that they shut everything down and there's
nowhere to get a damn drink.

Speaker 3 (01:56:20):
Why won't you build it?

Speaker 4 (01:56:20):
Why don't you just build another ring and keep it down?
Something about them? Everybody's downtown give you.

Speaker 5 (01:56:28):
A hard time over the Hawks. Let them? Okay?

Speaker 6 (01:56:34):
Can we pick up the Palace before it's demolished and
put it in place l c A. Then we'll all
be happy, We're all on the same pace. That okay,
that's what I would do.

Speaker 4 (01:56:44):
I don't think the real is a business need to
play the same building. And I think as they go,
as they get better, and as they grow because the
time Gore has got money, don't say it anyway. I
think as they go they need their own building. That's
the only thing that makes sense. And then a lot
of rooms.

Speaker 3 (01:56:57):
Mad has been saying for a while there's a lot
of room downtown in five.

Speaker 5 (01:57:01):
Years crush crashing.

Speaker 4 (01:57:02):
I would agree one percent agree, get the keep them down,
but give them their own space because even now is
they're winning. Like I went to the game Thursday last week.
I went, but I'm like, man, this is hot. This
is Gordy How, this is Stevie White, this is d
mac shout.

Speaker 5 (01:57:15):
You gotta look down because all the little sewer grades
are piston grades. Can look down. You gotta look.

Speaker 18 (01:57:22):
Like this.

Speaker 4 (01:57:23):
This is what called me last when I went to
the game. You know how they have d Max Jersey
County and the one like that. They have one like
that and it's Joe d And it's a small freaking
it's the m v P Trophy. It's like the m
v P trophy, like and it's just chilling. Oh hey,
this m v P trip.

Speaker 5 (01:57:39):
What are you doing. Yeah, Hey, Michael Warry says, Bray,
you buy the Hawks, He'll by the Falcons. Michael is
doing Atlanta. People always spin the wheel. Pete, you got
Jason Kenyon's.

Speaker 10 (01:57:51):
Yeah, I'm gonna we only have a little bit love over.

Speaker 5 (01:57:55):
Don't worry. Here's Jason Kenyon, one of our top chatters,
the Cowboys from Oklahoma City. Guys, that's him. Eight seconds,
that's him, and check him out. Yeah, that's our guy,
Jason Kenyon. And check out his collection of sports cards
as well. Bray might not be able to see him all,
but he has got he has got a lot, a

(01:58:16):
lot of good stuff. So Jason Kenyon, we appreciate you, cowboy,
thanks for listening that.

Speaker 4 (01:58:22):
We're starting to get to know the chettle ye sending
stuff in. We've been talking and kicking with you guys
for four years. Man, send stuff in. Let us get
to know who you guys are. Do we want to
say this for tomorrow, We're gonna rock and roll it.

Speaker 5 (01:58:35):
Roll in the Anson and Pete take it over all.

Speaker 10 (01:58:39):
Right, Okay, Anson, do it up?

Speaker 18 (01:58:41):
My man.

Speaker 5 (01:58:42):
Well, let's go ahead and spin it. When it gets
to the black square. There the which wild card man
secret square. I want to win. Boom boom. All right
you good luck everybody.

Speaker 7 (01:58:56):
You guys.

Speaker 5 (01:58:57):
Yeah, I got a wild card. I'll be back on Tuesday, but.

Speaker 1 (01:59:01):
You know so, and I'll be with you.

Speaker 13 (01:59:04):
My man. He hooked it up back.

Speaker 5 (01:59:07):
Hey, it's coming to me. Oh there we go.

Speaker 6 (01:59:12):
Listen, guys, don't forget to stick around.

Speaker 5 (01:59:14):
We got the watch party. Three games.

Speaker 10 (01:59:16):
You got Michael Debrie.

Speaker 3 (01:59:18):
He's gonna wait back to back.

Speaker 10 (01:59:20):
Yeah, shout out, it was shut up five times.

Speaker 6 (01:59:24):
That's okay, that's okay, shout out. Congratulations will begin.

Speaker 5 (01:59:28):
That's out you on Tuesdays.

Speaker 3 (01:59:30):
Thank you for sharing earlier about your father. We really
appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (01:59:33):
Any Mike, you have to hit me up on online
maz at Woodwards sports dot com. Maz at Woodward sports
dot com. You guys, let me all your info.

Speaker 3 (01:59:42):
Are you ready for this? Let's go. We made four
five freaking pistons Detroit Basketball. You know a time.

Speaker 5 (01:59:53):
Chef geese, you know the pistons one again.

Speaker 3 (01:59:56):
There it is, enjoyed the game again, enjoyed again.

Speaker 5 (02:00:00):
That's what a gain
