Speaker 1 (00:02):
It's two pm Detroit, and you know what that means.
Speaker 2 (00:05):

Edwards and of course Mass are about to take over

Speaker 3 (00:23):
This is indeed the best sports network wood Sports Network
with Anson Wells brother And that was Tom Asingwick joining
us over that big time beautiful day outside, especially considering
I went to the dentist today.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
Oh man, you're talking place. Let him tell.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
I took him a picture earlier with the gas, so
he was excited about that.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Three crowns on one side, one crown on the other side.
So what they did was they put You're a king.
I was in there two and a half hours.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
They put in camp and then they prepped for and
I gotta go back on the thirties. But I'm not
feeling too bad. I went to the gym afterwards. I
made to hear the numbing has just worn off. That's
why I was pretty quiet when I first came here.
But with all that, I said, I plan on smiling
a lot. That's why I'm fixing my small time as well.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
How you feeling, oh great man, beautiful out. I'm feeling
good today, my man. ANSWER's in the house, got all
the boys here together, let's have let's have a fun
show at the end the week Friday.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
I'm glad you hold on, hold on, hold on before
you go. I'm glad you bring up answer, Answer, and
I got something for you. Man.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Let me go ahead, and and and get these numbers correct.
Ryan and Money loves to do the numbers.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
He loves to look over the numbers, see how the
show's worth, see what the views were. That's how you
get better. You got a critique yourself. Don't matter if
the numbers are what you want them to be, just
go make them what you want to be. We noticed
that somebody's videos have gained a lot of traction. Somebody
had a hell of a march here at Wolversports Network
and especially on this show.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Answer wells. Probably the month that you.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Have people have listened to you, probably because we're the
villains over here, but your very researched and you see
the growth of you.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Man, You're becoming a hell of an analyst.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Man.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
I wanted to thought out there hell of a month
by you. You deserve to hear that, ladies and gentlemen,
answering well is getting.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Better and better and better and better. The people have spoken.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
They like what Anson is talking about, and even if
they don't like it, they love to listen to them.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
So Answering, I say, good day, man.
Speaker 6 (02:16):
I appreciate that so much. I was pretty sure I
was a villain here for.
Speaker 7 (02:21):
Quite a few years. What do they call that? Uh
soa same old Anson.
Speaker 6 (02:27):
You know, I have had this week where I've been
smiling at all, all full of happiness and the sun's
don't But boy, it was a rough start to the week.
Speaker 7 (02:36):
By I'm not gonna lie. Gary V's v friends.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
Came out with a raffle and I did not win. Bray,
You're gonna have to make color of your boy from
the Jets.
Speaker 7 (02:45):
Hook that thing up.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Don't worry. You saw the intro. The only video that
this showed me planning was with the New York Jets.
So I hit Gary VA for.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
You talked about winning. You didn't win, But the Detroit
Pistons did win last night. And you can say it's
nothing murder, but I'm calling beloney beat the New York
Knickerbockers one fifteen to one oh six. Everybody played in
this game. It was an elite game from Kay Cunningham.
We finished thirty six and eight and forty minutes, thirty
six points in thirty four minutes. He's showing you that
(03:13):
he is indeed primed and getting ready for his playoff.
We talked about it a little bit. You see Kay
using his body, well, you see Kay using his body. Well,
he's a lot stronger when you look at him. So
is Jalen Doring. But Kay's a lot stronger. He's very calm,
he's very patient. He's tapping into what I see and everybody.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
It's not just me. Is the Jokic, is the Luka.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Donachik is body pace leverage. He's not letting anybody control
his pace. Now that he's stronger, he leans on you.
The leverage says a lot. Last night, hell of a
game by those guys. I'm I'm going tonight. I'm getting
excited for these playoffs coming up. Man, talk about your guys.
Detroit Pistons.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Fantastic game last night. I believe Jalen Brunson, by the way, sorry.
Speaker 7 (03:54):
Oh yeah, he got bullied a little bit he looked frustrated.
Speaker 8 (03:57):
Yea.
Speaker 7 (03:57):
And for me, I've been saying there's so many.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Said it about Kate, I've said it about Jade and Ivy,
and I've said it about many more and I will
say many more times about others slowing the game down,
having the game slowed down for them. But Cade the
game has not just slowed down for him. But like
you're talking about, what true superstars like Jokicic can do,
they slow the game down for their entire team. And
(04:21):
we saw him come back off injury after he'd missed
a few weeks, looked rusty his first game back.
Speaker 7 (04:27):
He sure did not last night.
Speaker 6 (04:29):
What I did see was a Pistons team the full
first half.
Speaker 7 (04:35):
They were not playing to their level of play. They
weren't bringing it defensively, they weren't bringing just the intensity and.
Speaker 6 (04:45):
The need to show out in that game. To me,
there's only one bad outcome of last night's game. And
mind you, no ogn Andobi for the Knicks, no Josh
Hard for the Nicks, two major parts of their starting lineup,
their second leading and two of their best defenders on
the league. If they come in here and they blow
out the Pistons, last night.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
That's not a good look for the Pistons.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
But if Pistons can just stick with them have a
good game.
Speaker 7 (05:11):
I thought that that would have been really good for
the Pistons.
Speaker 6 (05:14):
But it wasn't just that Pistons came on the second
half down, had a couple chances where the game could
have gotten away from them, but.
Speaker 7 (05:21):
Cade put his stamp on that game.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
There were times where we would get a loose ball
or a rebound and instead of seeing a guy like
a star or shrewd running down the court trying to
make something happen.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
They were just looking for Caid.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
Give him the ball, give him a pill, and let
him set the temple. There is nothing as a Pistons
fan that you can look at that game last night
and wonder whether or not this team can win a
first round playoff matchup.
Speaker 7 (05:52):
They showed me everything last night.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Pray this is a team that will be fighting for
a second round play off victory.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
I agree with you too, and about the New York Knicks,
this is the first time that they've been together as
currently constructed a lot of added pieces this year, so
you'll be interested to see what does that look like
in the playoffs. With that being said, sorry I didn't
say hello to the chat. You guys have been phenomenal
this week.
Speaker 9 (06:14):
Man.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Chat engagement has been great. Love the conversations. The other
day we were cracking jokes. It got it went off
the rails a little bit, but we were over to
really and have a really good show.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
So what's up to you guys?
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Want to say that before I get Tom masaway and
here and his Detroit Pistons look pretty good, man.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
I told you, man, I watched this team from the
get go. They're just a fun team to watch. The
one thing I didn't like about last night's game is
they actually had to play that game against the Knicks.
I was hoping the Knicks wouldn't be able to see
them until the playoffs. Now, Tom Thibodeau and this team,
they know what they gotta do and they were down
two starters. Like Anson said us, they didn't play all
(06:53):
out last night either. But it stinks that they're playing
the Knicks now, and they're playing the Bucks in a
home home and a home coming up tonight and tomorrow,
uh another playoff possible playoff preview. It's it's it's tough.
I wish they didn't have to face the Knicks. It's
almost like it was a practice game for the Knicks.
(07:15):
You understand what I mean? Yeah, as much as I
believe that the Pistons can hang with the Knicks, I
think the Knicks made out last night by seeing what
they gotta do going forward.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
I definitely can understand that.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
You know, you're you're worried that they got a chance
to see what Kate is gonna be like get tadd
But just like you said, some guys didn't play for them, Well,
there's somebody that got cleared for the Detroit Pistons who
didn't play for them as well. I think we have
a video as well talking about Jade Ivy being cleared.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
For business to playoffs. So we'll see what that looks like.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
I want to ask an answered about that. We talked
about it yesterday. We want we talked about it yesterday.
Do you want Jade and Ivy to be on this
team for the playoffs?
Speaker 6 (07:54):
Well, listen, this team has played a different brand of
basketball without Jada and Ivy early on in the seat
and Jayden was the catalyst for this team offensively when
Caide was still trying to figure out the superstar that
he has become.
Speaker 7 (08:08):
I'll tell you one thing I don't want.
Speaker 6 (08:10):
I don't want him to not get any experience in
the playoffs. And even if he's playing twelve minutes eight
minutes a game, it's crucial for the development of the
core of this basketball franchise to grow into the finals
competition that they are. The only way that they can
do that is by getting these guys' playoff experience.
Speaker 7 (08:31):
I think Jade and Ivy will be out there a
little bit.
Speaker 6 (08:34):
I don't think that he's going to be a guy
that's going to swing this series by any means. The
guys that are going to swing this series, there's a
sar Jalen Duran and beef Stew. You watched beef Stew
last night. Didn't score a point, didn't need to, Yeah,
but he blocked and altered a whole lot of shots.
Two guys on that team that's going to be what
(08:56):
decides whether the Knicks get beyond the first round or not.
Cat and Brunson, and I saw Brunson super frustrated by
a lengthy A star.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Can I say something about bruns and being frustrated. The
one thing you have to respect about his game, he
does not come playing. He was on the ground a
couple of times something. One of those times I thought
it would have been something. The other times I thought
he was doing a little bit much. But he doesn't
can play. You know who that is, that's his pops.
I remember watching those villas his pops on. It looked
like he got games. Sorry, I just appreciated a player
(09:27):
being a physical game, going down, not looking to the reps,
not screaming, jumping up and now because you saw a
Cat do that the whole game with his zesty, so
I appreciate that about it.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
And to your point, oh my god, god, that's the
only thing about watching Cat.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
He's a hell of a talented player.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
But you will get that from time to town where
you like like, you know, I don't.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
I'm not trying to be away. It was like he
found me like Cat about the King.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
You didn't even you didn't even sound like that when
you're at Kentucky, by the way, but that's neither He the.
Speaker 10 (10:00):
Cry baby of all time, Lebron, thank you, Yes.
Speaker 7 (10:03):
Absolutely so.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
But Brunson is unflappable. This is a guy that you
can't shake him emotionally. Towards the end of that game,
you could see him frustrated. A guy like Asar Thompson
is so long and becoming one of the elite defenders.
If you give him thirty minutes on Brunson, Brunson is
going to struggle to find open shots over the course
of a six or seven game series.
Speaker 7 (10:26):
It's going to be very tiring for Brunson. But then
once you look at Kat they didn't even bring out
Duran for eight minutes of that fourth quarter because they
got Beef Stu.
Speaker 6 (10:36):
Seven games of Beef stew and Jalen Duran on that guy,
you saw him. He was exhausted, which led to frustration.
Speaker 7 (10:47):
And so for me, I thought it was very different.
Speaker 6 (10:49):
I know they got a free glimpse of who the
Pistons are, and I know that they didn't have two
of their starters, but they brought a playoff mentality to
that game, and this young piss since team has never
ever seen that or played in that type of emotional environment.
They're gonna play that the next two nights against the Bucks,
and then they're gonna be thrown into it completely in
(11:12):
that first round matchup. For me to have the Knicks
come in two guys down or not, for them to
come in here, think that they're the higher seed, the
better team, and lose.
Speaker 7 (11:22):
The way they did.
Speaker 6 (11:24):
We wrote out the roadmap to the second round, and
they can easily accomplish it.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Yeah, but like you said, be careful with the two
players that didn't play in this game. And then also,
there is a difference in basketball intensity when you get
to the playoffs. The New York Knick team that you
saw last night, it will not be the team that
you particularly potentially see in seven days from now. It
won't be that team. They will be much better. The
intensity will be a lot different. But before we go
to the Bucks game tonight, before we go to the playoff, JB.
(11:54):
Bickers to have talked yesterday after the game talking about
his guys is kind of excited.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
Let's get this post game in from J. B. Biggers
about last night's win.
Speaker 8 (12:01):
Past couple of games.
Speaker 11 (12:02):
In the first half, you know, we've been in a
position where we've been trying to trade punches, but that's
not who we are, that's not what makes us unique.
The second half, we played our style right and brought
the fight to our type of fight. You know, defensively
is where it always starts with us. You know, if
we think we're gonna go out there and just trade baskets,
that's not who we are. Everything we do starts with
(12:24):
our willingness to compete on the defensive end of the floor.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
And that's what makes us unique.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Right.
Speaker 11 (12:28):
We're not like your typical NBA team. That's not who
we are, and we can't afford to play that way.
But if it comes down to grit and toughness and competition,
I like our chances now.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
Something that I wrote down that kind of goes along
the lines of this, we know this is what they
want to be grit. Okay, to get that from ford Field,
they get that from Detroit, they get that from what's
inside of the Pistons DNA makeup. But you know what
we've been complaining about, Oh, just too much of it now,
being smart, being a little too aggressive, getting caught up
the mental lapses in those moments. Yesterday I saw Tom
(13:00):
that was taking it up to the edge, boss, taking
it to the edge. But being smart in the moment
is not over pushing, not getting the Tiki Taggi files,
not making the reps like all right now, we got
to hit them with two.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
Three files to calm them down.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
They pushed it to the edge, which shows me they're
paying attention, shows me growth, chows me that JB. Bickerstaffs
having these conversations in practice, in games, and even when
they're on flight. So I really enjoyed seeing that time
as away.
Speaker 10 (13:24):
This team is starting to remind me of it.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
You guys might think I'm crazy, but the old four
going to work Pistons, and I'm just gonna take two players,
Jalen Durham and Beef stew Those two guys put together
are Ben Wallace to me, Kate Cunningham is Chauncey Billups. Okay,
the rest of this team they go how deep can
(13:47):
this team go? As far as players go, ten they
go ten DP just like the old fourteen. This team, man,
they're not a pushover. I so much enjoy watch great basketball,
and they have given that to me this year. They
have re lit my basketball fire, especially going to a game,
(14:08):
and I'd love to go to the Knight's game as well.
Speaker 10 (14:10):
I just might.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
But I've had a great year of watching this team.
I hope that it works out, and I hope that
they can win a playoff series or at least take
it to seven games, because that experience. Like you've been
saying all along, it's invaluable and they're only gonna get better.
They're only gonna get better. Players are gonna start to
want to come here.
Speaker 10 (14:32):
You watch.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
No, you're absolutely correct, man, Players are gonna start want
to come here. And just like the Detroit Lions guys
are like, hey, look what's up. You guys need to
wife receive if you guys need a dB. You remember
all the players that have come here in the free
agency with Bret Holmes, they wanted to be here in
the last three years.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
But just getting back to the Pistons, I love it.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
That second score, though, is gonna be key like that
second score at times, just like just imagine if K's
not on teams. No, K's the guy thirty six points
last night and thirty four minutes when you get to
the playoffs, not going to allow him to get thirty six.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
He's gonna have to go and earn thirty six. Now.
He's an All Pro caliber player, so he'll fight.
Speaker 8 (15:06):
He will.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
But what happens when you don't, is Malik Beasley gonna
be able to get you at twenty six? Because Malik
Bezy doesn't seem like he's consistent enough to be able
to count on him for twenty six. Where do you
go if Cad is bogged down Anson Wills.
Speaker 6 (15:19):
It's a great question because realistically, there's only one other
guy on this team that can create his own shot consistently,
and that is Tobias.
Speaker 7 (15:29):
Whether you dump it down him into the post, whor
that he's operating good had a good. I love I
love Tobias.
Speaker 6 (15:35):
He's a settling influence, he's a he's a calm offensive player.
He's a very efficient offensive player. But when you look
at Malik when he's trying to create, that's when you
see him get into trouble. Fantechio, please don't try and create.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
That's you got that, you know, you know what.
Speaker 6 (15:56):
Dennis Shrewder is a guy that can create on his
But if you get Jade and Ivy, even if it's
twelve to sixteen minutes, that is a guy just in
that little little area where you kind of can't find
your way, whether it's because Kate's taking the rest on
the bench or he's just not feeling it.
Speaker 7 (16:15):
Ivy is a guy that just.
Speaker 6 (16:17):
Can change the absolute speed of a game and find
his way, not only to the hoop, but also to
the foul line.
Speaker 7 (16:23):
So I love that.
Speaker 6 (16:23):
But one of the things that you mentioned earlier was
their emotional maturation. And in that game yesterday, the first half,
I watched them all my notes I don't like from
the first half, and everything I didn't like in the
first half, they absolutely cured in the second half. They
came out, they played faster, they played with more urgency.
There was a couple times where savvy Dennis Schreud came
(16:46):
in there and pissed those Nicks off.
Speaker 10 (16:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (16:51):
Absolutely, and that's the kind of stuff that the young
Pistons don't get.
Speaker 7 (16:55):
They'll get caught up in emotional moments.
Speaker 6 (16:57):
Dennis Schuter knew exactly what he was doing, who win,
He knew who was win exactly and so that kind
of a game with the patios. I don't know how
well the Pistons.
Speaker 7 (17:08):
Would do with that.
Speaker 6 (17:09):
It was very clear after last night the Knicks are
not cut out for a chippy, physical playoff series. And
that's why I think the Pistons are gonna get by
these guys.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
It's gonna be like, it's gonna be really interesting.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
I think before when we first posed this question, it
was around like two and a half weeks ago, so
we were trying to figure it out and I said, look,
I don't want to play the Knicks. I think they
have too much to prove. I think this is gonna
be a big year for catting the playoffs. I tend
to still be on that. But if they wint by
no means will be surprised. I think they'll put themselves
in situations manage. You ask a great question, how deep
are they ten players deep? That's the hell of a
(17:43):
player deep on the bench. That's amazing, somewhat reminding of,
like you said, to go on the word Pistons. So
it's gonna be a tremendous series. I just can't wait
to see it happened. I'm just excited that it's happening. Yeah,
before we get swore, we get so caught up and are.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
We gonna beat them? Is it gonna be that? Can
we beat them?
Speaker 3 (17:59):
With the Pistons are in the playoffs? And brave the
Detroit Pistons are in the playoffs. Last year we were
talking about potentially selling the franchise, crazy things like that.
Now you got an owner that said, I can I
can do a little bit better on my part he
made some moves, and the moves that he made are
making tremendous moves so far.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
And I know you're I know you're excited. I know
Detroit Pistons fans are excited. But we have so much
more to be excited about this series than the last two.
Thon Maker and Wayne Ellington were starting for the last
Pistons playoffs. The time before that, you had Stanley modern
(18:41):
day Johnson being asked to defend Lebron James.
Speaker 7 (18:46):
Those two series, it was just excited we were there.
Maybe we can win one. This is a completely different thing.
Speaker 6 (18:53):
This feels like Rick Carlile's first year taking over for
George Jervian Flippings from thirty two and fifty to fifty
and thirty two, losing to the Boston Celtics in the
second round when we were supposed to get out of
that first round.
Speaker 7 (19:08):
It feels so similar. And I just I.
Speaker 6 (19:11):
Really cannot wait for Pistons fans because I've been telling
people my old man, he's the one that he's responsible
for my love of these Pistons.
Speaker 7 (19:19):
I've been telling so many people, you gotta watch.
Speaker 6 (19:21):
Them, you just have to watch them, because I know
that there's been some teams we've been excited about in
the past. But these guys play and compete like the
two championship teams that we've had or the three that
we've had in the past. This is your father's and
your grandfather's pistons playing in twenty twenty five. You got
three game, two games to catch in the regular season.
Speaker 7 (19:43):
Make sure you're all there for round one.
Speaker 10 (19:47):
I'll tell you it is.
Speaker 5 (19:48):
In the beginning of the year when they signed Tim Hardaway, junior,
Malik Beasley, uncle uncle Tobias Bias, and there was one
other guy brought in.
Speaker 7 (20:00):
Paul uh Ye, Paul.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
Reid, Paul Reed. ESPN gave them a D minus on
those sides. D minus.
Speaker 7 (20:10):
A terrible team that will most likely to be terrible
again this year.
Speaker 10 (20:13):
That's what they said. That's what they said.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Hey, yeah, it's it's a mixture of some things you
know in there, like who knew Malie Beasley was going
to be you know, since the top three shooting the
three ball, no pun intended this year. Yeah, he's kind
of falling off. But let's just talk about now, like
who knew that was going to happen? K Cunningham took
that jump. We knew that was going to happen. There
(20:36):
was some mitigating fact of Sard Thompson. We didn't know
what Sard Thompson was gonna look like this year, coming
off that blood exactly, coming off the blood Clyt and
he's finding he's probably the easiest point.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
What do you get that the three bet Pete? I know,
you know? Is it the rebounds assistant points when you
do the triple bet? I assume.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
So it's so it's like the perfect storm of things
coming together for these Detroy pis even Tobia's getting hurt,
Like now he's found some games somewhere.
Speaker 7 (21:04):
Sorry, will be the next player to drop a five
by five stat line.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Tim Hardaway is a player who's energy like that D
minded that that D minus rating. You can't predict for
Tim Hardaway's energy. You can't rank what that means to
a team, what that feels like. I've known Tim, I've
known him for a long time, Like super cool, just fun.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
He's a great teammate. He's good energy.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
Even when he's not playing well. He knows how to
get that energy off in other ways.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Man.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
So like things like that you can't account for, And
that's how they're having a success.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Man, I'll tell you this, I love this team and
I've said it a million times, and I've lost my
train of thought. That's why I'm repeating myself. I had
something to say, I had something to say.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
It, damn it. It is okay, man.
Speaker 10 (21:44):
It'll come back to me.
Speaker 6 (21:47):
I got two guys that scare me for the next
coming off the bench, and we got a chance to
see one of them start last night in Prescoshachua.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
He got off.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
Yeah, he never scored ten points and a half in
his life. He scored it eighteen towards the end of
the game. And that's the guy that can alter shots.
We saw him block two threes last night, a very,
very athletic stretch for any game. But then PJ Tucker.
Now PJ Tucker was their Dennis Shooter last night. He
was pissing some pistons off last night. And I'm gonna
(22:18):
tell you right now, the Knickerbockers are gonna need a
lot more disruptors like PJ was last night.
Speaker 7 (22:24):
But I'm not sure that.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
He's gonna even see any minutes when they're fully healthy,
when they've got og and they've got heartback. But those
are two guys, those are two X factors for the
next Who do you see as an X factor for the.
Speaker 5 (22:36):
Next it's Cat all the way. It's it's not of
an X factor, He's it. They made that trade. They
got rid of David de Vincenzo, the Villanova guys and
your boy random up all the Villanova guys.
Speaker 10 (22:51):
You ever see that commercial by.
Speaker 7 (22:52):
Yeah, it's kind of sad and it's a great commercial.
Speaker 10 (22:55):
Devincenzo's on his own and they're singing it's it's cool.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
But they put it all on Cat. And you, guys said,
I think answer.
Speaker 10 (23:03):
You said that trade's gonna kill him.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
Here you go right here.
Speaker 10 (23:06):
That trade's gonna kill him, you said, And here they are.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
But I'd love to be right in hindsight, because I
haven't felt incredibly right this season watching the Timberwolves struggle
as much as they have. But Cat, Cat is that's
the X factor. Even if he is the main guy.
If he chokes, this is this is the Piston series.
If he plays the way that they traded him to play,
(23:30):
then well they did the right move.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
It's funny too.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
I was telling you, guys, I saw I ran into
him at J Cole concert at massive Square Garden in December.
Like I'm not making this up there, That's how he
sounds now, Like he was like that, he was trying
to ask he's tall, he stands up. He was asking
about seats, like where they were sitting, and he did.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
What I was doing. But that's exactly. Oh my god,
where are the seats at.
Speaker 10 (23:56):
Freddy Hey? Freddie felt on the on the chat, Bray
absolutely killed that cat impersonation. Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Now look, I know I told God that. You know
I'm a work in progress, but I don't think it's
wrong impersonating what I saw on the YouTube clip. Yeah,
just imitating what I saw where I that.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
Ino dynamic javelins, specifically four.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
Cats burn from.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Now we gotta play the Knicks because now I gotta
keep this Catt.
Speaker 7 (24:33):
I don't want the Pacers, man, I want the Knicks.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
For seven games they burned for a five dollars.
Speaker 5 (24:38):
I just want to know what the Knicks did to
turn Cad into a terminator every time he plays them.
How can we bottle that into other teams that ship
on his shoulder? How can they do it?
Speaker 3 (24:48):
The Nickson one of those one of those weird, weird
teams where they don't talk a lot of stuff like
in the media or on the court, but they do
say subtle things and they do rub you in the
type of way. They do have those little moments where
you know, you might be walking back to your bench
and you know, player in my man, you ain't doing
nothing like doing stuff like that, Like because you saw
(25:08):
the players starting to look.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
Remember the end of the game yesterday, there was beef
there to have.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
They were looking at each other like, yeah, what's up?
This is what it is. So there are little things
that the Knicks do because I've seen this energy with
the pacers in the Knicks, and I've seen it with
the Knicks and the Celtics as well. They do little
sneak They're like Chris Paul, but not as aggressive as well.
Speaker 6 (25:30):
The other thing is, and we've seen it with CD
dudes who came here and then left and they complain
about the Detroit fans hammering them on social media. You
got a lot more million fans in the New York
market and then out of the market. So yeah, even
if the team itself isn't running their mouth, their fan
base is.
Speaker 7 (25:51):
Everyone from New York is easy to hate.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
In athletics, one thing about New York from playing in
there when you lose to a team that will let
you know about it. A lot of the New York posts,
a lot of the journal, a lot of the sports stuff.
It's not about the team that you played. It's not
about what the team did. It's about you. That stuff
starts to get old and you started getting pissed, so
it could be a lot of that.
Speaker 7 (26:13):
Start moving to Indiana.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
Hey, before we take a break, I want to show
you this video. I'm not even sure how old man
got a video for, but this is Bobby Clinton rookie
and he's going out to his car the garage at
LCA and Jalen Durham pulled a prank on him.
Speaker 10 (26:27):
Check it out. You can play with that.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
No, no, no, let's not play it with sound. I
don't want what happened to happen the other day. Let's
play what I sound.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
We can talk about it.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
So the thing that sucks about this this is this
is an expensive fix. It's like when you do this, yeah,
when you do this like this, I've never done it
to a player, but I've been on the team where
they did it. It's like a five thousand dollars fix.
Just get somebody five thousand. They got to take it, honestly.
Speaker 7 (26:53):
And if it's salted.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
Everywhere, everywhere, the detailed.
Speaker 5 (26:59):
That's little Caesars, the popcorn thats saulted, assaulted.
Speaker 10 (27:03):
Watch he opens every door and look at it. It
bleeds out of every door.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
He's he's gonna have to get and and this is
when I played.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
This is two thousand and five, six seventy.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
Nowadays he's gonna have to give him by his seventy
five hundred to look at to get that car clean.
Speaker 6 (27:18):
Let's talk about the actual prank itself. Drylan Duran did
not do that himself. He went over and he got
all of the concession points, probably a good aid of him.
Speaker 7 (27:30):
It was like, bring a whole bunch.
Speaker 10 (27:32):
Of pop My man, My man pissed his talk. Anthony
Columbo said, it was last night, man.
Speaker 7 (27:36):
It was okay. I got a question for you guys.
Speaker 10 (27:39):
I wanted the video.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
You got more questions. I need kinds of us, some questions.
Speaker 10 (27:46):
The questions, man, don't you have some question?
Speaker 7 (27:48):
I'm going to save those other ones. But since we're
on this.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
Top end, you want to know about it.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
The best prank you ever did or the hardest you
ever got prank? I'm sure you got some great one again,
and then all the teams that you work.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
I won't go.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
First of all I was trying to say is stay tuned,
because in the next hour ANSWER's answers.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
We got something. So he has more questions as mad
as you can go. Pranks. You ever been pranked? You
ever pulled a prank?
Speaker 10 (28:11):
Not really? I'm sorry to be boring, but not really.
I got one.
Speaker 7 (28:16):
I got pranked really hard.
Speaker 6 (28:17):
I had a buddy who he made a lot of
bad decisions in his life, and when I came into
his life, it was my mission to keep him out
of trouble, which I did.
Speaker 7 (28:27):
You know who I'm talking about.
Speaker 6 (28:29):
But one night he's out and about doing something he
should have been and I get a phone call from
a woman from the McCombe County Sheriff's Department just telling
me all this stuff. And he sends me a picture
of a cop car in his selfie.
Speaker 7 (28:48):
And I'm this guy's life's over.
Speaker 10 (28:51):
Well.
Speaker 6 (28:51):
He had put up his best friend, this female to
call me and keep me on the phone for about
fifteen minutes. Tell me where I had to go pick
my best friend. I it's about eight years later. I'm
still planning my revenge. Man, it really shook me up.
I know you got some good sport ones.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
I never pranked anybody. I just wasn't with the pranks.
I'm not with the pranks. I don't.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
I don't like seeing people in that that that brief
moment of confusion.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
I don't like that.
Speaker 12 (29:18):
Why you leave before they athletes?
Speaker 7 (29:22):
I had to see some rocker room stuff.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
I saw somebody in the same stuff.
Speaker 13 (29:26):
If you can leave, I was in the fraternity.
Speaker 14 (29:29):
You want to talk about pranks, My whole freshman year
were pranks on me or vice versa.
Speaker 13 (29:34):
Having your underwear all painted. You come here, you wake
up in the morning, all your underwear is just painted.
You have nothing you can put on.
Speaker 10 (29:41):
Come on.
Speaker 13 (29:43):
Stuff. I have a book about this thick.
Speaker 15 (29:47):
We always did the classic like egg and cars and
like teething houses. But one time we had got a
great idea to empty out the airs, the air in
the bus tires. So we all was planning to do
this right in the plan any process, I'm at work.
One day my boys called me like, hey, we're doing
it tonight, and I was mad cause I got off work.
But they ended up getting in trouble, but they did
get school canceled for the entire day.
Speaker 7 (30:10):
Solid, real solid.
Speaker 5 (30:13):
Hey, I remember when I wanted to say you earlier.
Go ahead, your mind. You're not pranking us, No, no, no, no,
just remember just hit me. So I'm bowling last night.
And by the way, I suck. Hor just a horrible year.
Speaker 10 (30:29):
We suck. I suck. I am going to take a
break for the summer. Anyway. I got a friend there,
Chris James.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
He's a huge Pistons fan and he never never shuts
up about your guy, A Sar Thompson.
Speaker 10 (30:43):
He hates him. He thinks he is the absolute worst dribbler,
the worst shooter he's ever seen.
Speaker 7 (30:51):
But he likes Ron Holland I didn't say that.
Speaker 10 (30:54):
I just he's talking about Assar Thompson. So I'm like,
you're wrong, and I just quoting you.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
I took I just you know a star tops Is
he as bad as Chris James says? Because I don't
see it. Obviously he doesn't handle the ball well yet.
Is that something that he can learn to do?
Speaker 4 (31:12):
Won't we do?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Why won't take quick commercial rates that we'll answer down
and we get back Because I want to answer it
as well.
Speaker 4 (31:17):

Speaker 5 (34:56):
You gotta do it quietly, Shad quiet under in the league,
Rice and Dichambo making some grounds seven under after fourteen.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
Victor Hobblin, who finished well yesterday, continued today. He's six
under through sixteen. Ry McElroy, who bombed yesterday At fifteen
he was at four under, finished around two today. He's
made some paceback. He's six under after fifteen.
Speaker 4 (35:18):
And then where's uh who's winning? Where's hold on?
Speaker 10 (35:21):
Hold on?
Speaker 4 (35:21):
Hold on?
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Where Scotty Scheffler He's supposed to be the back to
bell there he's tied for five Rory five under already mentioned.
Speaker 8 (35:28):
I couldn't hear you.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
How you gonna tell me the whisper and cut me?
I'm yelling you told me the whisper.
Speaker 10 (35:34):
I didn't know you take you serious.
Speaker 12 (35:37):
I turned the music off and everything.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
I was trying to have some fun. Damn mass Is
Friday smile all right, I do it?
Speaker 12 (35:45):
Who we want?
Speaker 3 (35:46):
We were talking about the Sar Thompson question that you asked,
you can ask answer again Tom as.
Speaker 5 (35:50):
A Well, Uh, tell my friend Chris James that are
Sar Thompson's gonna be okay?
Speaker 7 (35:54):
He's going to be more than okay. Tom.
Speaker 6 (35:57):
This is a kid that missed the entire offseason in
his sucking and year in the league coming off a
catastrophic health issue. Might not ever played again. I mean,
who knows what the future for Wenby holds. When you
take a guy like that, who has a raw offensive
game that is pure athleticism but also high high IQ,
and you take a whole season away from them, it's
(36:19):
gonna stunt their growth. Look what his brother Amen Thompson
has done in Houston this year.
Speaker 7 (36:24):
It's phenomenal. Might even be enough for most improved.
Speaker 6 (36:27):
Player in the NBA. When you look at the flashes
and glimpses that we have seen of a Sar, I
don't know how you aren't absolutely excited. This is a
guy that can bring the ball up, that can defend
almost every position on the court.
Speaker 7 (36:40):
He leaves it all out on the court.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
And I don't know if you notice what he did
to Brunni last night, but he really had that guy frustrated.
For me, it's strange to see a guy selected in
the exact same spot a year later in Ron Holland,
which to me is a.
Speaker 7 (37:01):
Poor man's version of Asar Thompson.
Speaker 10 (37:03):
He doesn't have the handle, so you wouldn't have drafted him.
Speaker 6 (37:05):
He shoots just as poorly. I'm not saying it wouldn't
have drafted him.
Speaker 7 (37:09):
I wouldn't have. But what I'm saying is those two
guys drafted fifth. Yeah, they're both drafted fIF.
Speaker 6 (37:15):
So you look at both of those guys and they
have such similar games. They live on their athleticism, they
live on the fact that they put it all out
on the floor. You see them both diving for loose balls,
running the court as much as possible. The difference between
the two of them is their basketball IQ. And Asar
I have seen it on display. His basketball IQ is phenomenal.
(37:36):
If he can develop an eighteen foot jump shot, having
forbid a three point shooter, he's gonna be a metals,
an absolute metals.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
I just don't know, Like you know, back in the day,
guys would go to college for three years.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
Three years they would go.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
To college and they will play for name your coach,
and then they would get drafted and then there would
be a process then and these guys that played three years,
when did that change? Like, when did we get to
the point where it's six seven, twenty two year old
stretch player. It's two fifteen that provides you stills, assists, rebounds.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
Energy, defense, both way, two way player. That's figuring out
the guy that you can trust.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
Went through the bloodcought situation last year, like Aon said,
he didn't even play in the offseason. When would time
up on him? When was it all he's this, he's
that he's not get rid. We got to allow these
guys from space because it's not like it used to be.
And even then they would allow kids to develop. They've
just got a system in places. Last year, his coach
was Money Williams. By the way, even when he was healthy,
(38:36):
his coach was Monney Williams, who wasn't interested in the
Sard Thompson. He wasn't interested in Jabe Niby, he wasn't
interested in the Detroit Pistons. If we're bring Frank so
let's relax on the sorry, Like I think he's doing
a hell of a job.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Year two.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
I think there's a lot there in the NBA. In
any sport, it's about roles. Never do you see it
more transparently in the NBA. He's going to be a
tremendous role player, and that's not disrespect more.
Speaker 7 (39:00):
Than just a role player. In my one, his.
Speaker 6 (39:05):
Game that he brought and early on in the season,
when he first came to the back to the Pistons,
he wasn't getting much time, but once he started to
hit that fifteen to twenty minute mark and more, he
is one of the biggest reasons this team is a
playoff team. It is his defense that allows them to
play defense full court at times. What he does to
(39:29):
the oppositions point guard or the man bringing the ball up, you.
Speaker 7 (39:34):
Just can't put it into terms.
Speaker 6 (39:36):
The guy is always at the rim, tipping and keeping
balls alive, whether he's getting steels, getting blacks, or keeping
offensive rebounds alive. This guy is such a catalyst for
this team and I don't really think that that anybody
realizes what a loss he is. Last year you said it,
Monty had no interest in this kid. He was an
(39:57):
All Rookie team player through the first month of the season,
and then he just disappeared. So when you take a
guy completely out of out of a game, out of
the rotation, out of his confidence, and then you strip
his off season away for health reasons, let's give this
kid an offseason after the year he's had.
Speaker 7 (40:16):
His year three. Your boy's gonna.
Speaker 6 (40:19):
He's gonna be a beer at the bowlie now, I
promise he got something from Dante one to five to one.
Speaker 5 (40:25):
Hey, I love that la jam from cave to during
last night at the end of the game. Also, the
number one rule, never leave your roof top window open
on your car.
Speaker 10 (40:34):
That is always asking thank you Dante.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
This is true. This is true.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
But the one thing about that, they'll take your keys
out the locker, and they'll take your keys out the
locker and they will get so then you matter if
you lock up because you're still gonna leave the keys
in the locker.
Speaker 4 (40:49):
And guess what we're locker mate.
Speaker 6 (40:51):
So shout Out has been absolutely owning the G League.
Speaker 4 (40:55):
Though.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Yeah, let's do this Piston stalk more to come next
week because they still have two games Bucks tonight, Bucks.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
Again this weekend before they finished. We'll talk more pin here.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Let's get to these lions, uh biggest draft questions, Man
as you printed out something great, tell us about it.
Speaker 4 (41:11):
Let's talk about it.
Speaker 10 (41:12):
Well, I did something from ESPN.
Speaker 5 (41:14):
I'm not gonna take all the credit, but I will
break down some of the teams, especially in our division.
Speaker 10 (41:19):
This is ESPN.
Speaker 5 (41:21):
This is their picks, the Lions picking twenty eighth, sixtieth,
one hundred and second, one thirty one, ninety six, two
twenty eight, and two forty four.
Speaker 10 (41:31):
Which position is a.
Speaker 5 (41:32):
Bigger need for the Lions early in the draft, edge
rusher or interior offensive line. ESPN says the Lions cannot
go wrong addressing either position, but Detroit should focus on
it edge rusher first. The return of Aiden Hutchinson would
certainly boost the pass rush. Detroit would benefit tremendously from
pairing him with someone else, especially after it passed on
(41:54):
a top defensive end. In free agency, the Lions released
z a Darius Smith. Brad Holmes said they couldn't afford
that's another reason they should strongly evaluate their draft options
on the aedge Eric Woodyard. With that pick and what
we're hearing about the Lions draft, here you go. This
is from Mike Miller. Matt Miller, the draft expert of ESPN.
(42:14):
The Center Frank ragnow nearing the end of his career.
Interior offensive line will be a priority in the early rounds.
This is a name that I've been hearing a lot
about you guys too. Gray's Abel North Dakota State. It's
been widely connected to Detroit at twenty eight and can
play guard and center. Now, we already talked about Brad
(42:35):
Holmes talking about last year Giovanni Minude. He wanted to
get him to be a left tackle. It's looking like
he's going to be a guard. So do you take
another guard? Pass rushers another option? Do not be surprised
if they add a cornerback. No way, especially a nickel
corner in the first four picks. So okay, maybe fourth
round a nickel corner. That's what Matt Miller says that
(42:57):
the Lions should go for. You guys, line, Let's say
the best old lineman is there and the third defensive
end is there, left, which position.
Speaker 10 (43:10):
Are you taking? I'll let you go for his answer,
because they're picking who am I taking?
Speaker 7 (43:16):
Or who are Dan and Brad taking?
Speaker 4 (43:19):
Well, this is our show, so who are you saying?
Speaker 6 (43:22):
Well, listen, I've never run a successful franchise and this
franchise has been terrible for seventy years, but these guys
have figured it out. I'm going to go back to
that sixteen man list and we don't know exactly what
it is, but they have players on a list that
wherever they fall, they're taking them or they're moving up
to get him. So to answer you specifically, if it's
the number one offensive interial alignment versus the number three.
Speaker 7 (43:45):
It's going to be the number one guy.
Speaker 6 (43:46):
They are always going to take the best player available
over filling holes period.
Speaker 4 (43:54):
Okay, so you don't work for the Dejo Lions. You
work for sports. Who is answering, well, what were sports drafting?
Speaker 6 (44:03):
Honestly, I can't get away from what they've done. I'm
gonna take the best player available and continue to do
that every single year. Yes, I'll go for the best
offensive lineman.
Speaker 7 (44:11):
We're getting old.
Speaker 6 (44:12):
I know everybody wants defense, but you know we we
did some patchwork work last year.
Speaker 5 (44:18):
We're kind of Okay, this kid's blocking at North Dakota State.
Speaker 10 (44:22):
That's the big thing.
Speaker 5 (44:24):
North Dakota State ain't playing Alabama, They're not playing Georgia.
Speaker 3 (44:29):
Yeah, it's one thing when you bring on Carson Wentz
and Carson Wentz has a good year. It's another thing
we found out. Trey Lance didn't work and now here
are trying to get Kobe Starrs done. Yeah, Kobell, he's
hanging in there.
Speaker 10 (44:40):
He's like a fifth sixth guy.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
Yeah, give me defensive line. Every time I'm with you,
I'm gonna stick with it. I'm gonna stick with the
d line of things. If they don't, I will say
this before I finished. If they don't take a defensive
lineman in the first round, get ready.
Speaker 4 (44:53):
To see the Darius Smith again.
Speaker 7 (44:55):
Hope.
Speaker 3 (44:55):
So just I'm just throwing that up to see the
Darry Smith if they don't. But defensive line, because I
think you got your hand raised. I think defensive line.
I've hitten, I've beat this drum till I'm blue in
the face. You gotta have a defensive line. You gotta
have another player on the defensive line to help out HUDs,
to help out the guys that are there. Yeah, we
got a line, and I believe in the guys when
they're healthy. But a lot of guys, a lot of injuries.
(45:18):
Give me defensive line. We need some strong, thirty non
injured defensive line guys.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Pete.
Speaker 14 (45:26):
Thank you, bray I app. I was just letting you
know I had something to say. I really appreciate that.
Speaker 8 (45:29):
Man.
Speaker 13 (45:30):
You know, what can I say? Trade the pick?
Speaker 12 (45:33):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (45:33):
I'm not mad either.
Speaker 13 (45:36):
I want to trade for Trey Hendrickson. I wanted. I
want that trade to go down.
Speaker 14 (45:40):
I want the Lions to make the splash because answering you're.
Speaker 13 (45:44):
Right on developing picks.
Speaker 14 (45:46):
I'm not disagreeing with you on that, but I want
to win the Super Bowl next year. And the only
week you can win the Super Bowl next year is
no offense, not with Zadarius Smith. You want Trey Hendrickson,
and that's the guy I want.
Speaker 13 (45:57):
Trade the pick. Do what you can.
Speaker 14 (45:59):
I know it's the old you know f them picks things,
But guys, it's just you're gonna have to make the
splash now. It is now. It is not tomorrow, it
is not next year. It's not twenty twenty six or
twenty twenty seven. I don't have time to wait. These
guys don't have time to wait. These fans have time
to wait. Trade the pick, break.
Speaker 10 (46:14):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (46:14):
Look peace sticking to his guns. PA's been on his name,
same way. We were all on warning Miles Garrett if
he was there thinking about the potential for another Trey
Henderson poss up thinking about that. So I don't Madge
the piece still in that he wants a sure fire
thing on the right side.
Speaker 4 (46:28):
Of the offensive line, I mean defensive line Pete, not manage.
Speaker 5 (46:32):
The word on the street is Cincinnati wants a number
one pick for Trey Hendrickson, and I don't think they're
gonna sign him. I mean they put their money they
don't have on the wide receivers. They don't have any brains,
they don't And you heard their executive. She said, take
what you can get Trey. You know, sign what we're giving.
You don't always say no. And the second thing she
(46:55):
said is we might be out of Cincinnati by the
end of the year because they don't have to say,
sign an extension with Paul Brown Stadium, pay Court Stadium.
So the Bengals are in flux right now.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Well, these women omners are definitely different from the ones
in the Mavericks because the Mavericks they didn't care about
the flash. Here in Cincinnati, they seem to care about offense,
and that's what it is. They care about the exciting offense.
That's what moves their needle. Joe Burrow, t Higgins, Jamar
Chase down the field, exciting the passing forty points, dueling
out with Lamar Jackson losing, that's what they like. They
(47:26):
don't care about defense. So what that tells you is
that they're not interested in pantry Innderson, they have no
interest in saving money for that side of the ball.
They don't want to win, like they hope they win
the Super Bowl. They hope they go deep into the players.
They don't care because it's still making money. So that's
why Trey Henderson call still be available because they as
long as you can throw some touchdowns, I don't care
(47:47):
if the defense does you scoring thirty five on offense.
Speaker 4 (47:50):
I don't care about the defense.
Speaker 6 (47:51):
So this is this puts a lot of things into
clear focus for us. You know, two months ago, every
Detroit line fan was banging the table to ship over
two first round picks and a.
Speaker 7 (48:04):
Third maybe more, throwing hending.
Speaker 6 (48:07):
Hooker as well, and let's go get Miles Garrett. I've
told you from day one, I'm not down with that,
and it wasn't gonna happen. Now you get a clear
picture that there's only a first rounder needed for a
guy like Trey.
Speaker 5 (48:21):
Hendrickson seventeen and a half sacks back to back years now.
Speaker 6 (48:25):
I don't know if they're going to take a number
twenty eight. Maybe they want to seventeen. But I'll tell
you that's a deal, Bray that I am down for.
I don't know what the Lions would have to do
in terms of paying him to keep him here and
extending him. But if you're just giving up a late
first to get a guy that you know is going
(48:45):
to not just fill the need that you have, but
bee excellent at doing that. Trey Hendrickson, that guy fits
the culture here and has all the skills that our
defense needs.
Speaker 10 (48:57):
I totally agree.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
The only thing about the problem is paying him the contract.
Then there lies the question, are you because you're gonna
have to pay him.
Speaker 10 (49:04):
And you can't pay all your guys, then get rid of.
Speaker 3 (49:08):
I don't mind it. Look as it relates to getting
rid of draft picks, I can care less. I can
care less about twenty eight sixty, one hundred and two.
I could care less about them. If it's for Tree Hendrickson.
The problem lies paying him, because you're gonna have to
pay him probably probably before the season, nless you negotiate
it to maybe you do it during the season.
Speaker 4 (49:23):
I don't know. That's the only issue now.
Speaker 7 (49:25):
Big question paying, Yeah, yeah, question.
Speaker 6 (49:27):
Then this regime that they love those young rookie deals,
you know, so if you bring in a Trey Hendrickson,
it really puts a big cloud over a Hutchinson extension
next season.
Speaker 4 (49:40):
What do they say that our enemies are gonna do?
The Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
As well as actually, what do they say about the
Chicago Bears, because that seems to be the one that
Ryan and Answer are laughing at because they don't believe
in the quarterback.
Speaker 4 (49:52):
So talk about the Chicago Bears already.
Speaker 5 (49:54):
The answers take Matt Miller's I'm just gonna go right
what he thinks about what the Bears are gonna draft Boom.
The Bears are gonna draft they love and we talked
about it Ashton Genty. According to scouts around the league
who observed the team's activity this offseason, the Boise State
running back could be the pick at number ten if
he's still there. Chicago's got two second round picks. It
(50:14):
could be aggressive and early second round picks. The only
problem is the Raiders might be trying to grab him.
Speaker 10 (50:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (50:23):
I think the Raiders need more than Ashton Genty, but
who knows what they're gonna do. They're a wild card.
They have a whole new regime led by Pete Carroll
and Tom Brady. I don't even know who the general
manager is anymore because they fired both their their head
coach and their general manager at midseason last year. So
the Raiders in a wildcard. The Bears, they're a really
(50:45):
good running back away from being the Lions from three
years ago, because, let's face it, Genty could be Jamier Gibbs.
Ben Jonson loves Jamier Gibbs, different.
Speaker 3 (50:59):
Type of running back, asking gent runs a little bit
more power, a little bigger, little stiffer. I can't even
compare Jamiir Gibbs to anybody else I've ever seen, because
there is no Jamir Gibbs comparison. Anson, where are you
with the Chicago Bears this draft? Askton Gents, what could
he add to it? Or Tyler warn If it's not,
what are you with the Bears? Because they have a defense.
(51:21):
They now have a coach that is going to for
lack of a better word still everything that works here
in Detroit. He's going to bring it to Chicago and
try to have some saying success, where are you with
their draft?
Speaker 7 (51:33):
Real quick?
Speaker 6 (51:33):
To address the Ben Johnson thing, I think that Ben
Johnson will be understood more.
Speaker 7 (51:39):
By the Lions and what they want to do.
Speaker 6 (51:42):
Sure, he's going to understand our personnel, but he has
no idea what our new direction offensively and defensively is
going to be this year. So I don't really see
that as some insider spy being able to flip the
script on the Lions. I don't believe in catfish Caleb.
Speaker 7 (51:56):
We all know this. If you haven't figured that out yet,
you have been like.
Speaker 6 (52:01):
What I've seen the Bears do is what we saw
the Comedies do back when they were the Redskins. They
went out and they spent all this money in free
agency and guys in their late twenties and early thirties,
and everyone picked him to.
Speaker 7 (52:13):
Be the champ.
Speaker 6 (52:14):
I've never really seen a crazy offseason free agency where
a team just makes a major plunge and signs five,
six seven guys and everybody in the off seasons checking
them as the next team.
Speaker 7 (52:27):
It just rarely ever works out.
Speaker 6 (52:30):
You bring in new coaches, new personnel with a second
year quarterback. To me, that doesn't translate into twelve wins.
It probably won't even translate into ten. Listen, the Bears
needed to make moves. They have to keep Caleb upright
if they have any hopes of making any kind of
move in this division.
Speaker 7 (52:49):
I don't think that they have the culture. And I
think that.
Speaker 6 (52:55):
What Ben thinks he's going to bring, he's bringing the clipboard.
I don't think he understands what Dan and Brad did
on the other levels outside of the extras and o's.
And again, I just don't think that that quarterback, even
with as t gents lining up next to him, is
going to be the thing that puts him over the top.
He needs another offensive lineman period defensive, I know, but
(53:18):
he needs another offensive lineman.
Speaker 4 (53:22):
They just got two All Pro and a Pro bowler
three offenses.
Speaker 10 (53:26):
I still think they need more seven picks.
Speaker 4 (53:28):
So then maybe they need seven, Maybe they need thanos.
Maybe maybe that's the one thing I want, the one thing.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
I then Fanny goll he apparently he didn't need it
an in game, so apparently he doesn't need it. But uh,
I disagree about the part about Ben Johnson not knowing
how to bring that culture. He was here, He was
in those meetings. He was there with Dan when Dan
talked to the players. He was behind the scenes, like
he saw the things where he saw players when they
went to the coaches and you know what the concerns
were with the.
Speaker 4 (53:56):
Grives, what the communication was.
Speaker 3 (53:58):
I think he was every part, especially on the offensive
side of the ball. So as it relates to culture,
if we're talking about I think he knows what works
here and I think he will do his best to
bring that to Chicago. Now where I will give you
some agreeances. Now they're gonna vibe with it, because being
able to know a thing and being able to relate
that thing is a whole nother ball game.
Speaker 4 (54:19):
I've seen coaches like Eric Mangini.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
Eric Manngini one on one, he was a great coach,
the smartest coach I've ever met, because he is like
but when he was with a team, when he was
in the same space with all the guys and all
the fifth it's a different guy. He just couldn't relate
past the exes and oh so we'll see to your point,
Tom as well.
Speaker 10 (54:41):
So with the Packers, here are.
Speaker 4 (54:44):
The Packers done. A lot has been made of Jordan Love.
Speaker 3 (54:47):
Now, Jordan Love's regression last year, sophomore slump, although it
was his fifth year. He was injured at the beginning
of the season. But they took shots at Jordan Love
last year. They've taken shots at Matt Lafleur. Maybe Matt
Lafleura was a bit of a you know.
Speaker 4 (55:03):
As you say, catfish, I doubt it. Tell me about these.
Speaker 5 (55:06):
Packers, all right, Well, Matt Miller of ESPN, but we're
hearing about the Packers draft. The rival scout told me
his team expects the Packers to focus on adding defensive players.
Speaker 10 (55:16):
Predicted Green Bay.
Speaker 5 (55:17):
Would draft the cornerback in round one, defensive tackle in
round two, and then shift to a value receiver in
round three. So there's your Packers, and they have taken
a wide receiver in the first round quite a number
of times. They're saying this year they will not do that.
So they're looking at defense.
Speaker 4 (55:38):
Their receiver corps.
Speaker 3 (55:39):
It's it's funny because it's a good receiver Cord, but
they don't have that standout player. And that's where Josh
Jacobs got in trouble because he made that comment at
the probe, I mean at the Super Bowl where he
was like, yeah, we just need a number one.
Speaker 4 (55:52):
I said that, So the cat's out the bag.
Speaker 3 (55:53):
But they tend to focus on defense. A lot of
dbs have been drafted by them. They have one, but
he's a crash out.
Speaker 6 (56:01):
Well, if they're in a tight game with the Lions,
the Vikings, the Bears, anybody, and you're down five six points,
four minutes left, you want to put.
Speaker 10 (56:15):
Who's your guy?
Speaker 4 (56:17):
But he's but I have to scheme him open. Romeo
Dobs gotta scheme him.
Speaker 6 (56:21):
And and you know, Christian Watkins is the big, you know,
point receiver.
Speaker 4 (56:25):
But they're tight end. Their tight end might be their best.
Speaker 10 (56:29):
Love Tyler Croft, Tyler, he's the best receiving option.
Speaker 7 (56:34):
Tyler Craft is.
Speaker 6 (56:35):
A stud that was very reminiscent of when the Ravens
took Hunter. Who is it they took the two guys.
He took a guy right before and Henry, uh no,
not Hunter, Henry, I forget to say. But they took
to that year one ahead of the other, and it
was supposed to be that guy, but it.
Speaker 7 (56:56):
Ended up being the later guy. Same thing with with
Tucker over.
Speaker 10 (56:59):
The rebel with the Patriots. Did they broke the mold?
Speaker 7 (57:02):
Absolutely?
Speaker 4 (57:08):
He would have been different, was the guy he was
Number two.
Speaker 10 (57:13):
C got the best of him the childhood.
Speaker 6 (57:17):
The best thing the Packers can do is go defense.
This is a hell of an offensive division, period, Like
everybody's good defense offensively, so they need to slow.
Speaker 7 (57:26):
Down the Lions and everybody else.
Speaker 6 (57:28):
If they can get Jayden Higgins out of Iowa State
in the third round as a cheap wide receiver in
the third that's a guy that I would fear with them.
That's a big body receiver that Christian Watkins has never
turned into and that will open everything for Tucker Craft
and Josh Jacobs as well as our boy Jayden Reef
University of Michigan State's Jane Reed. I just I look
(57:52):
at this team as still the team I fear the
most in division. Jordan Love is not going anywhere, but
he needs that dynamic target that everyone talks around the
NFL don't. We don't talk about anybody on that team,
but is he a real superstar quarterback? And how long
will Josh Jacobs be able to run for them until
(58:13):
he gets that guy.
Speaker 7 (58:14):
I don't think that they can win the division.
Speaker 4 (58:16):
Jane reeda Michigan state because the transfer port won't open yet.
Speaker 3 (58:20):
Before we know, we'll take quick commercial breaker with the
Vikings Minnesota.
Speaker 4 (58:24):
Sure you know what, go through it, mass.
Speaker 10 (58:26):
Yeah, well good to Vikings.
Speaker 5 (58:27):
They only have four picks, guys, they have twenty four,
ninety seven, one thirty nine and one eighty seven. So
the Vikings they are a prime trade backcand that in
round one they would try to be an easy way
for them to pick up more draft capital. Other teams
looking for a quarterback, they could trade Minnesota if they
decide to stay at twenty four. They're looking at a
(58:47):
cornerback or safety. Cornerback or safety for the Purple Gang,
and right now their quarterback is JJ McCarthy.
Speaker 4 (58:54):
Let me say this. Let me say this.
Speaker 3 (58:56):
This is not related to just the Minnesota BAK and
this is about Detroit Lin. Win your division. In fact,
win on six games. And I know it's tough. I
know it's hard.
Speaker 4 (59:05):
You gotta go on the road. It's tough.
Speaker 3 (59:06):
Team knows you, especially Chicago. You guys always have this
thing where it's you know, win by three at.
Speaker 4 (59:10):
The end of the game, win your division.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
Because all I'm hearing is if this works, if the
offensive line can protect for a quarterback that struggle last year,
if the culture can be understood as Ben Johnson seems
to play.
Speaker 4 (59:22):
Fit the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 3 (59:23):
Well, you know, they got drafts of defensive players, and
we got to figure out what's going on with Jordan
Love's mindset and who's gonna be the Is it a
wide receiver or is it Tucker Craft?
Speaker 4 (59:30):
Oh Minnesota?
Speaker 3 (59:31):
Is it JJ McCarthy or are they still in the
Aaron Rodgers Sweet States? What does that team look like?
Detroit knows who they are. The Lions know who they are.
We don't know who are drafted yet. But you know
what this team is, They better win some games. Like
I'm getting back excited, I'm getting ramped up. You all
these ifs about the other team that make you happy
that there aren't necessarily ifs about your franchise. Let's say,
(59:53):
Kirk and mercial break here a little bit about Doctor Pierce.
Speaker 5 (59:56):
You know them, God, we love them. Well, just here

Baby absolutely absolutely, or from nineteen fifty until the second.
Speaker 7 (01:04:11):
Championship of our very own Bad.
Speaker 6 (01:04:13):
Boys nineteen fifty to nineteen ninety. Check out some ABA games.
Speaker 7 (01:04:20):
You know what I'd be doing.
Speaker 6 (01:04:21):
I know that I would be back of the Boston
Garden catching all kinds of Bill Russell. Or if you're
a millennial and you hear about Jordans and you never
got a real chance to see him now young Jordan,
but the Killer six ring Jordan nineteen ninety to present
day you get to watch Lebron.
Speaker 7 (01:04:41):
Come up all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 6 (01:04:43):
Or do you want to go into the future, see
what the future of sports.
Speaker 7 (01:04:50):
Hold for us? I'm gonna go first, gentleman. It is
a very very very easy easy answer.
Speaker 4 (01:04:56):
Save the room, you go last.
Speaker 12 (01:05:03):
This was pretty easy for me. Man, I'm gonna go
nineteen fifty to nineteen nineties. See, I was born in
eighty nine, so I don't I never got to see
the era.
Speaker 15 (01:05:11):
And specifically I would want to go see Bird and
Magic because my dad used to always talk about those
are his favorite games to watch, and I never got
the actual experience that. I feel like that was just
a golden era for the NBA to make that transition
to being the powerhouse that they are now.
Speaker 12 (01:05:25):
So I gotta go see Burden Magic at.
Speaker 7 (01:05:27):
The Forum or the Boston Garden.
Speaker 12 (01:05:29):
The Forum. I don't want to go to Boston. I'm
running wrong.
Speaker 10 (01:05:32):
Good choice, good choice, place smelled anyway.
Speaker 4 (01:05:36):
You are the wrong.
Speaker 12 (01:05:40):
I can't take it off.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
It ain't wearing.
Speaker 10 (01:05:41):
You are no ac you'd be smelling over the pace.
Speaker 4 (01:05:45):
I love.
Speaker 3 (01:05:46):
I love hearing Jerry West talk about what it like
being in Boston. Guards Gross couldn't stand it.
Speaker 15 (01:05:51):
And I want to go to that club that was
connected to the LA Stadium.
Speaker 10 (01:05:55):
The Forumum Club.
Speaker 12 (01:05:56):
Yeah, I want to go to club.
Speaker 10 (01:05:58):
That's where Magic got around.
Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
Yeah, they're getting wrong, caught up to him, but he's
still with us.
Speaker 10 (01:06:07):
He's still with us.
Speaker 13 (01:06:08):
Zinger.
Speaker 4 (01:06:09):
Yeah, he is doing well, doing.
Speaker 10 (01:06:12):
Better, than ever. He even has cookie with him. Still
was he ever positive?
Speaker 4 (01:06:17):
I feel like one of my conspiracy that's one of
my conspiracy theories.
Speaker 7 (01:06:20):
By the way, that was I guess Mass's answer.
Speaker 10 (01:06:24):
I don't think it could.
Speaker 4 (01:06:26):
I'm guessing the future.
Speaker 10 (01:06:28):
What's your what's your guess?
Speaker 7 (01:06:30):
I mean the era you live? You want to go back?
Baby wrong?
Speaker 10 (01:06:35):
Though I don't.
Speaker 5 (01:06:35):
You don't, I said, I love the fifties to the nineties.
What are you kidding? That's what I'm saying. That's when
you're staying right where I'm at. I already knew, and
I can just Oh my god, there's so many things.
Speaker 10 (01:06:46):
I want to go to.
Speaker 5 (01:06:47):
First game, I want to go to evatts Field and
watch the Dodgers play, because I believe if I had
grown up in the fifties, I would have been a
Dodgers fan because they were the bumps.
Speaker 10 (01:06:58):
They were the second as citizens to the Yankees.
Speaker 5 (01:07:01):
I became a Yankee fair because the Dodgers fled in
the mid fifties to LA along with the San Francisco
along with the New York Giants. They left the polo
grounds at Ebbitts Field. I wanted to go to ebbits
Field so bad. And when the Mets made their new stadium,
when they knocked down Shay Stadium and they made City Field,
they made it to look like Ebbitts Field. It really doesn't.
(01:07:21):
It's got a little portion of it. But I would
have loved to have seen those games. I would love
to see the Yankees in the sixties, how great they
were then, and then in the seventies. My first love
was the New York Knicks. And I told you this
guy's a million times. The Knicks won a championship when
I was eleven. That's their last championship. They wanted when
(01:07:43):
I was nine, They lost when I was ten. They
won when I was eleven. Here I am, I'm sixty
three years old. They still have it one. But I
want to go back to the game where Willis Reid
came in, limped in, they shot him up. He came
in for Game seven and he beat the Lakers at
Madison Square Garden. Took two turnaround jumpers to start, and
(01:08:06):
that's it. Wilt Chamberlain looked, He's like, HP, it's all over, guys.
Jerry West is up. I guess it's over, guys. He
sat down the rest of the game, and the Knicks
ran him off the court. I want to be at
that game, man, And it's so many others that I
want to be at, so many others I am. I mean,
I talk sports in that era. I can't help it.
(01:08:26):
And now here's this thing. I'd go back to nineteen
eighty six again. Eighty six is my favorite year besides
having my kids.
Speaker 10 (01:08:35):
Mets Mets. Here's the story, and I think I said
it before, guys. I had tickets for Game seven of
the World Series Mets in Red Sox.
Speaker 5 (01:08:46):
It was supposed to be on a Sunday. It got
rained out and they postponed it to Monday. Now I've
got two tickets to the Giants and the Redskins on
Monday Night football at Giants Stadium. And I have my
two World Series tickets, only one because all my friends
were going. We each had one. And I had a
date with a girl that I go see about a
(01:09:07):
girl I had. I had a date and I wasn't
going to break the date, so I gave my freaking
ticket to my friend Eddie Lopez.
Speaker 10 (01:09:16):
He went to the game.
Speaker 5 (01:09:18):
I went to Giants Stadium with my girl, spent all
day with her, and I missed seeing that Game Live.
Speaker 7 (01:09:25):
How about them apples?
Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Huh?
Speaker 7 (01:09:28):
I love that story.
Speaker 10 (01:09:30):
I sold out Game seven for a woman.
Speaker 7 (01:09:35):
I had to go see about a girl.
Speaker 13 (01:09:36):
Man, I'll feel you we've been there.
Speaker 10 (01:09:39):
I don't know. So I want to go back. I
want to redo. I want to redo, and I want
to go back and be at that game.
Speaker 7 (01:09:47):
Yeah, so what era are you in?
Speaker 13 (01:09:50):
Tell you what I could take the easy route?
Speaker 14 (01:09:52):
You know, you and I talked about nineteen sixties era
movies and all that stuff that it's like, you know,
my ear, I can easily say that I'm going to
do it the before nineteen.
Speaker 13 (01:10:00):
Fifteen because here's why.
Speaker 14 (01:10:02):
It just was such a weird create a lot of
world changing obviously, but the sports back then, you.
Speaker 13 (01:10:08):
Know, Maz you talked about being you know, the kid,
you know, sneaking into games.
Speaker 14 (01:10:13):
Yep, you could easily do that in the nineteen tens,
nineteen twenties.
Speaker 6 (01:10:17):
You know you can go for a quarter, well, you can.
Speaker 13 (01:10:20):
You can go for a court.
Speaker 14 (01:10:21):
You can do a paper route for half a day,
pick up two bits and get yourself two tickets. It's like,
you know, it's the I'd want to say the innocence
of the time, because that time definitely was not innocent,
but the the growing of the sports, the introduction of
television to these the sporting events as they started to
come around. I know it sounds weird. I would have
(01:10:42):
loved to go on to the double feature at the
at the theater and then when the news comes up
you see the highlights on the big screen.
Speaker 13 (01:10:51):
That was cool.
Speaker 14 (01:10:52):
I just think that that era of watching the sports develop,
the NHL started coming into his own. I think that
before nineteen fifty would be very interesting to observe.
Speaker 6 (01:11:00):
And before ESPN, back in the day, in the center
of your city or your town, there would be a
man standing on a ledge with a full ticker showing
what was happening on in the game in some other city.
Speaker 7 (01:11:12):
Very very cool.
Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
Have you already been back in time?
Speaker 7 (01:11:16):
I watch a documentary a lot of birds.
Speaker 4 (01:11:20):
Okay, what about you? I wanted to say the future.
Speaker 3 (01:11:23):
You know, I want to be different, like I wanted
to go to the future to talk about what the
potential was. I watch a lot of sci fi movies
and your futurity movies and what the games would be like.
Are their wings or their tent packs? Lebron he will
be playing because you know what he will be playing
because he'll have ut a middle arm.
Speaker 10 (01:11:42):
Handsome, you have enhandsment made a deal with the devil,
you know, you know, look.
Speaker 4 (01:11:48):
You ain't you ain't too far off. But yeah, you
know like that, that was cool.
Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
I wanted to say there. I want to be like yo,
I want to go back to where I've already been,
like draft, Can I do that all? Can I go
back to the error of George? Can I get buried
for one year?
Speaker 10 (01:12:05):
You know?
Speaker 3 (01:12:06):
Eighty nine ninety But everybody's hit the nail on the head.
It's fifty to ninety. There's just so much there. There's
there's Gretzky, There's there's Wilt, There's Kareem, there's Doctor j
there's you know Ali in foremant Oh crazy all in
the jungle. There's Howard co said, there's bird in Magic
seventy nine. I wrote that one down too. That was
a good call by you. There's the undefeated Dolphins season
(01:12:28):
and you're wearing the Dolphins to Hank Aaron seven to fifty.
You know the eighty five Bears. I want to see overheight, well,
they really want to. There's steel curtain and then mass
I mean, excuse me, MP, Yes, you hit it too,
because now you you're partnering with the movies.
Speaker 4 (01:12:46):
What look like in seventy seven when Rocky and Star Wars, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:12:51):
What was it?
Speaker 4 (01:12:51):
What was it like?
Speaker 3 (01:12:53):
Jaws Jas the movie that made you wait an in
forty five minutes to see a shark for two seconds one.
So it's just so many places, so many avenue, so
many things you can touch. Going back fifty to ninety. Shoot,
I want to go back and see what my parents like.
You know, my dad played in Michigan in sevenisode.
Speaker 7 (01:13:12):
For that game with you to watch you old man, I.
Speaker 4 (01:13:14):
Broke a C's record. How good was a C?
Speaker 13 (01:13:17):
Can you imagine the boys on the same team, you
get that same team.
Speaker 3 (01:13:22):
I want to be at I want to be at
the parade and in ninety when I got a cry
because they stole Rick Mahome.
Speaker 4 (01:13:27):
I want to be lit that all over again.
Speaker 10 (01:13:29):
What's the movie when Michael J.
Speaker 4 (01:13:31):
Fox Back in Future?
Speaker 10 (01:13:32):
No, it wasn't back in.
Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
It.
Speaker 10 (01:13:39):
He went back, he went.
Speaker 13 (01:13:40):
Back in time, back to the future future.
Speaker 10 (01:13:42):
No, it wasn't back to the future.
Speaker 7 (01:13:44):
Back to the future too, back to future free.
Speaker 10 (01:13:47):
He almost his mom had the huts for him. His
underwear way.
Speaker 6 (01:14:00):
See you next week, got the heavyweight to me out here.
Speaker 3 (01:14:15):
Man movie is Back to the Future, So I'm not
gonna bust your balls in that your record that plays
Michael J. Fox's father, funny story. I can't think his name.
I'll look it up. The guy that plays his father.
Speaker 4 (01:14:25):
He's a noble back Chris.
Speaker 3 (01:14:27):
Yes, he hates Yeah, yeah, what a weird man. When
people bring that up, I understand the part where you're
more than just one raw, but come on, dude, like.
Speaker 4 (01:14:39):
George, what you're talking about George. I'm George georg If
I was George Stan, I wouldn't care. I got paid
a million an episode in.
Speaker 7 (01:14:50):
Georgia where.
Speaker 4 (01:14:53):
Call me George.
Speaker 3 (01:14:57):
It's like, this was great, though, but it just be
able to go back and go to the future, or
even go back.
Speaker 4 (01:15:02):
Just a couple of years ago. So much, so much, so.
Speaker 7 (01:15:05):
Much, and you know, realistically, a great.
Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
Answer, he could go back, has it been?
Speaker 7 (01:15:16):
That's also from Back to the Future, by.
Speaker 10 (01:15:19):
The way, So honestly, the.
Speaker 6 (01:15:22):
Nostalgia of hearing all the different reasons why we all
agree on the same era as fantastic. It is kind
of a cheap code to go for the future because
you get centuries in that answer, but mine is the same.
I'm going for the fifty to ninety era. One of
the first things I want to go see is Wilt
and Russell do battle.
Speaker 7 (01:15:41):
But I'm gonna tell you exactly.
Speaker 10 (01:15:42):
Where I about Wilt's one hundred point game.
Speaker 6 (01:15:46):
But I'm gonna tell you exactly where I'm going to
the Boston garden. I think Game five, nineteen eighty seven,
and guess who is running on the court right before
Isaiah in bounds the good second, I'm going to a
Boston jail. Okay, I'm going to a Boston jail. And
(01:16:08):
they got to pause the game. Everybody's gotta settle down.
And then the point guard doesn't take the ball out
of the bounds. The guy who's six ten and can't
move or run takes the ball out of the out
of bounds like they did all season.
Speaker 7 (01:16:23):
And it goes to jail.
Speaker 10 (01:16:26):
Justin wing Game five, go.
Speaker 6 (01:16:29):
Hold all the Celtics and they head to the eighty
seven finals, which they lose, but then we go on
to win.
Speaker 7 (01:16:37):
The three peaks. Can I go to eighty nine.
Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
And can I now go to ninety ninety one so
I can tell Chris don't call time out I'll do it.
Speaker 4 (01:16:47):
We don't have anymore innies?
Speaker 13 (01:16:49):
Yeah, change it?
Speaker 7 (01:16:51):
Sorry, So so real quick? What was worse the timeout.
Speaker 4 (01:16:56):
Or I mean Sharp?
Speaker 7 (01:16:57):
Yeah? I didn't get a chance to ask.
Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
You that because it wasn't his fault. To me, it
was that's the problem we talked about. It is I said,
these are young men and some of them are kids,
some of them are eighteen nineteen and were so hard
on him, like you know, Chris Webber for everything he
was and everything he was gonna be. He was still
twenty years old when that happened, still very young. So
with that being said, i'd say, I say, Chris Webber, I.
Speaker 7 (01:17:24):
Think in ten twenty years we'll still be talking about
time out.
Speaker 3 (01:17:26):
Because the thing about Sharp, it wasn't necessarily his fault,
his man, his own teammate forgot to pick Walter Clayton Junior,
who should have been screened so when he got the
ball he would have been able to fire.
Speaker 4 (01:17:38):
But it is his fault because.
Speaker 3 (01:17:40):
Even in that moment he saw it coming, he should
have fake has he dribble on the side.
Speaker 4 (01:17:46):
Just shoot the three? So they're both at fault.
Speaker 3 (01:17:50):
God, But people were calling for time out on the
sideline that's where it gets harried.
Speaker 10 (01:17:55):
You see it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:55):
You see three players and you see two coaches. Time out,
time out, So it's Chris puts Chris Weber.
Speaker 7 (01:18:02):
That was heartbreaking.
Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
I was a massive corner because no one remembers. No
one will remembers Sharp or this Houston team.
Speaker 4 (01:18:08):
Great next year.
Speaker 14 (01:18:09):
Can I push back on you, just real quick, politely
as a friend. Does the Adrian Dantley Mark Aguire trade
happen if they win in eighty seven?
Speaker 7 (01:18:19):
That's an interesting question. And mind you, at the end
of the.
Speaker 6 (01:18:23):
Johnson and Adrian Danley collided and concussed a d he
left the game. I don't think that move was I
think that move was inevitable.
Speaker 13 (01:18:34):
Okay, I think.
Speaker 6 (01:18:35):
That the connection between a Guire and Isaiah, But more importantly,
Adrian Daniela's style of play slowed down what the bad
boys wanted to do.
Speaker 12 (01:18:45):
Gotcha makes sense?
Speaker 4 (01:18:47):
Sky yourself are just boge eat this man?
Speaker 3 (01:18:52):
This is anything that brings up the stout. Who's who's
run justin Rose eight under excuse him? Justin Rose eight
under seventy one? Round today yesterday finished eighty as well.
Brighton d Chambeau with a birdie is now seven under.
He's around is over. Rory mcroy's round is over to
(01:19:12):
Oh no, no.
Speaker 4 (01:19:13):
He's at eighteen. They're both at eighteen.
Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
I'm sorry, Rose eight d chambo seven and then three
guys with two guys six, three guys five.
Speaker 4 (01:19:21):
All right, very six, very very entertaining. But Rory doesn't play.
Speaker 3 (01:19:27):
Bad on day one, lay bad on day two. Rory
don't play bad on day three. It's called the Rory
fade on day four.
Speaker 4 (01:19:36):
Day four is.
Speaker 5 (01:19:36):
When you do you see what they're setting, what they're
running houses out for uh toes thirty thousand dollars week,
thirty grand for the week.
Speaker 12 (01:19:48):
That's amazing.
Speaker 14 (01:19:49):
Did you guys see the picture of the airport, the
Augusta National Airport with all the private jets part over
one thousands, over one thousand, yeah, over a thousand jets.
Speaker 12 (01:19:59):
Man, it's amazing a lot of money going on.
Speaker 4 (01:20:04):
Let's talk a little football? Is that? What's up next
to you? Don't with you answers?
Speaker 6 (01:20:08):
I got all the answers I need and I appreciate you, guys.
Speaker 4 (01:20:11):
I was this is this is good, this is this
is your best one.
Speaker 10 (01:20:14):
Thanks you.
Speaker 7 (01:20:15):
I got a good one.
Speaker 5 (01:20:15):
Next week I have something for you guys, I want
to throw in here. All right, it's gonna be basketball,
but it's it's it's old school.
Speaker 10 (01:20:24):
I saw this online today.
Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
Man, how's the chat doing? We didn't I'm so sorry
we didn't ask the chat what era? Would they go
back to? What you see in the chat?
Speaker 13 (01:20:33):
Do we have a vote up? The polls up there?
Would you like it's in the chat?
Speaker 4 (01:20:39):
All right? Cool, we'll come back next segment. Go ahead.
Speaker 5 (01:20:43):
This is from hoop Mix only on Twitter or x
hoop mixt.
Speaker 10 (01:20:49):
Out of this bunch of players, name.
Speaker 5 (01:20:54):
Them Chad, Kobe, Lebron, Steph, MJ's k D in there.
All right, So I just tim on the sheet. Who
you cutting? He got one cut? You gotta get down
to five guys.
Speaker 4 (01:21:10):
Hold on, now, let me ask ask one question that picture.
One question is is.
Speaker 3 (01:21:15):
This is this my five and I'm making a five?
Or is it just just cut a guy?
Speaker 4 (01:21:20):
Basics? You see what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (01:21:21):
I'm saying you're making a five. Yeah, you can make
it a five.
Speaker 4 (01:21:29):
More than onebody's greatness.
Speaker 10 (01:21:30):
You can have more than one center got you that
more than one God?
Speaker 4 (01:21:33):
I got you, got you got you?
Speaker 3 (01:21:35):
You want to go first, I'll go first, Okay, give
me Shaq, KDS stuff, Kobe and Jordan?
Speaker 7 (01:21:46):
Is that all six?
Speaker 10 (01:21:47):
Who you're cutting?
Speaker 4 (01:21:48):
I didn't say Lebron.
Speaker 10 (01:21:49):
I want to hear it.
Speaker 3 (01:21:50):
Gone, I'm culling Lebron. I'm cuting Lebron. But if I
all right, let's let me take out of my biasedness.
Speaker 4 (01:21:58):
Let me like I was.
Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
Really created a team to win and do some dammage.
You cannot not have Lebron James on your team. I
know you hate him, man, if you're creating a team,
you can't have him.
Speaker 4 (01:22:08):
Out of this.
Speaker 10 (01:22:09):
Yeah, but he's got to play with Jordan.
Speaker 4 (01:22:11):
He can't promise he can play with Jordan's but very
very easily.
Speaker 7 (01:22:14):
Jordan and Shaq will keep Lebron in line.
Speaker 3 (01:22:17):
Right, Plus, Lebron plays point like like the dynamic works
out because you put Steph Lebron Jordan's shack and KD.
Speaker 4 (01:22:27):
KD is sire. He is a hired assassin. I like it.
You got shooters.
Speaker 3 (01:22:34):
Jordan gets shocked the ball in the post, they'll worry
about the old school game. Meanwhile, Kobe, I mean, excuse me,
Lebron will make sure Steph and KD vibe as well. Yeah,
I think that's your team take Kobe off. Although I
think Kobe is better than Lebron. Let me be very
clear about that. Kobe, yeah, because it fits better, make sense.
How are you gonna have hurt?
Speaker 4 (01:22:55):
So how do you go?
Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
How you gonna have Jordan with Kobe, with Steph and
KD and Shack By the way, he's gonna complain that's
why Shaq and Kobe didn't work.
Speaker 13 (01:23:03):
That's how I was looking at Now.
Speaker 6 (01:23:05):
See, I've seen this online and I saw it in
the prep last night, and my answers changed since then. Okay,
I am letting Steph Curry go. And it's not because
he's not the best shooter ever, because he is. But
he's a defensive liability period right.
Speaker 4 (01:23:23):
Look at this team.
Speaker 6 (01:23:24):
Kobe can bring up the rock, Lebron can bring up
the rock, all right, But when you put those four guys, Listen,
Kobe and Jordan are two of the best defenders I've
ever seen. You got Shaq in the middle, you got
a super long KG, and then you got Lebron who
can do everything. I love what you have in a
true point guard and having stuff out there and being
(01:23:46):
able to hit that three. But KD can hit those
series For me, My issue with Steph is his ability
to defend a highly athletic guy.
Speaker 3 (01:23:53):
I just have one question, and you know it's not
I love the list? Is the list defense?
Speaker 4 (01:24:02):
Like that's what you took from this, Like he's a liability?
How is no? How is he a liability when you
got four of the best defenders of all.
Speaker 6 (01:24:09):
Time because somebody is the weakest link? You put those
five guys up there without stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:24:14):
Like why are you why are you worry about weak links?
Like I'm trying to confuse.
Speaker 7 (01:24:18):
I'm let's say they're going up against.
Speaker 3 (01:24:21):
The steps offensive loon makes up for the defense. If
that's your argument, if that's your conversation. He's the best
shooter on the planet in any given error. He's the
best shooter on the planet. So if he's gonna go,
who is he not defended that shot? Can't make up
that kd do You just said he was long?
Speaker 7 (01:24:37):
I got a scenario for you.
Speaker 4 (01:24:38):
Yeah, all right, you gotta make.
Speaker 7 (01:24:41):
Duncan Yeah right, your guard? You got magic?
Speaker 3 (01:24:44):
Yep, I heard one person. I haven't heard one person.
How is magic und defended three? Last time I checked
three counts.
Speaker 4 (01:24:53):
For more than two.
Speaker 6 (01:24:54):
He doesn't have to because three counts for more than
logic is on KD and hell three and Kobe is
on Kobe's on stuff doesn't matter.
Speaker 4 (01:25:05):
Steph is still making these threes. I'm confused, Kobe.
Speaker 7 (01:25:09):
I don't know Kobe and Steph are on the same
Steff shooting from half court.
Speaker 10 (01:25:13):
Like Steph is telling Shack, Look, big guy, you don't
even have to run down the court. I'm gonna run
there thro the market and I'm gonna shoot you stay
right here.
Speaker 7 (01:25:26):
Who's gonna readbound when he misses? He doesn't, it's going
to the crowds. I want to know where Ricky's at the.
Speaker 15 (01:25:34):
Only yea with my with my small amount of NBA experience,
you know, I'm not as good.
Speaker 12 (01:25:40):
As y'all, so I can't break it down.
Speaker 15 (01:25:42):
Just when I look at this picture, who I want
on the team and who I feel like we can
still win without.
Speaker 12 (01:25:47):
That's how I looked at it. Who can you win without?
I think we win without KD.
Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
Problem is Kobe and Jordan are the same player because
Kobe copied everything that Jordan never did, So.
Speaker 4 (01:25:55):
Why do you need to Jordan's.
Speaker 7 (01:25:56):
Because how they are the two best players ever.
Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
Yeah, but if you got to Jordan's what are they
gonna be doing fighting for the f and ball?
Speaker 7 (01:26:03):
No, yes they are.
Speaker 3 (01:26:05):
Kobe, No he doesn't because Kobe does not.
Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
Or eight Kobe, it doesn't matter. He was always his Kobe.
Speaker 3 (01:26:14):
Who did Kobe want to guard when he was what
nineteen years old? Gimme Jordans who do he talk stuff to? Jordan's?
Whoo can he wait to play when he came back
to the Wizards, Jordan and go at him? You put
them to on the same team, all you're gonna get
is bickering and back and forth. Meanwhiles three other guys
that are also Hall of Famous, Like if you put
Lebron out there.
Speaker 4 (01:26:33):
Lebron, I guarantee he'd do whatever Jordan wanting to Braylan.
Speaker 7 (01:26:36):
I'm never cutting Kobe or MJ from any team.
Speaker 4 (01:26:40):
I said, Kobe's better than but I'm not cutting one
of those.
Speaker 7 (01:26:43):
Listen. My answer was KD okay, all right?
Speaker 6 (01:26:46):
But when I think about offensively, what KD brings to
the table versus what Steph brings to the table, when
you've got three guys in Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron who
can bring the ball up, I don't need stuff. I
want the length I want the rebounds, I want the
block shots.
Speaker 7 (01:27:02):
I don't want the defense.
Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
Yeah, tell team us say that, because if there's no
step there's no gold medal from twenty twenty four.
Speaker 7 (01:27:08):
Yeah, but they didn't have Michael either or Kobe.
Speaker 4 (01:27:10):
But they didn't need them. Apparently apparently they did.
Speaker 7 (01:27:14):
They needed everything out of Steph for that game. I
will give you that.
Speaker 4 (01:27:16):
I'm just saying, didn't know, didn't old Man Stepp beat
Jason Tatum? Your boy?
Speaker 7 (01:27:21):
Yeah, my boy?
Speaker 4 (01:27:22):
Did I know? Didn't old Man step beat him too?
Speaker 3 (01:27:24):
I'm just saying fifty fifty four points might add in
the final.
Speaker 10 (01:27:29):
Threw it up there just for fun.
Speaker 13 (01:27:30):
It is fun topic.
Speaker 7 (01:27:32):
It was fun.
Speaker 4 (01:27:32):
I ain't taking kd off there, Lebron. You cut Lebron spike.
Speaker 10 (01:27:40):
Face? Want to his face?
Speaker 12 (01:27:42):
He wouldn't do it personally, does.
Speaker 10 (01:27:47):
Anybody. I'm gonna literally do it on the court. All right, guys,
here's what we got. Lebron.
Speaker 5 (01:27:51):
You go home, all right, the rest of us, let's go.
We got a game to get ready, fight him to the.
Speaker 7 (01:27:56):
Game and send him.
Speaker 13 (01:27:57):
Man is gonna fire him like Kramer had to fire
with kel Welch. I'm telling you right now, that's what
he's gonna do this.
Speaker 4 (01:28:03):
You fight, you fight, Quick commercial break.

why do we do your intro whyle? We do your theme?
Speaker 10 (01:31:53):
Set it up all right, just right.
Speaker 8 (01:31:56):
Big moves. Who is starting?
Speaker 1 (01:31:58):
Who's injured? Up to? It's time for around the NFL?
Speaker 5 (01:32:06):
All right, guys, we'll start you off. In Cleveland, That's
what the Browns did today. They signed a quarterback. His
name is Joe Flacco.
Speaker 7 (01:32:16):
Welcome back, Joel.
Speaker 10 (01:32:18):
The welcome back song, Welcome back.
Speaker 4 (01:32:22):
The Browns shout out to mas and welcome back.
Speaker 7 (01:32:25):
And he looks like the principal of that school, right.
Speaker 4 (01:32:31):
He definitely does.
Speaker 3 (01:32:32):
He was Katon Grass and he was was raking leaves
two years ago when the Cleveland Browns actually reached out
to him, and he ended up coming back and becoming
a comeback Player.
Speaker 8 (01:32:41):
Of the Year.
Speaker 3 (01:32:42):
Uh, this tells me that they're drafted a quarterback. This
tells me they're drafted Shador Sanders because they like you
do it. Everybody likes you do it, but their question marks.
And that's where you see teams starting to add these
veteran quarterbacks. And another team just did this and Matt
Ryan down in Atlanta. They bought back Matt Ryan so
he can work with Michael Pennix. I think you'll see
(01:33:02):
the same thing. They're gonna bring in Joe Flocko, a
guy that can start, but he also can help show
shaduor Sanders the ropes. He can be a veteran, show
him how to watch film, break the things down for him.
Just give him a little bit of confidence about himself.
It's not policing him more so, you just have hot
when you can have a guy in that room. I
benefited from having wide receivers in the room. My rookie
(01:33:23):
year didn't necessarily have any, But when I got to
the Jets and had Jericho Contry, I could bounce ideas
off of I can see how he preparate.
Speaker 4 (01:33:29):
Made me a better pro, made me a better player.
Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
So I think them bringing Joe Flacco in is them
drafting Shador Sanders and knowing you got a guy that
could start this year if you need him to.
Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
So I think that's what this move tells me.
Speaker 2 (01:33:41):
May have.
Speaker 5 (01:33:43):
And they have a guy named Deshaun Watson. And Deshaun
Watson said, listen, guys, I'm not done. I'm gonna come
back better than ever. Here's what he said.
Speaker 9 (01:33:55):
You know, the performance comes when you know your back
gets the wall. It comes better because you kind of
got to really lock in. You know, you don't have
anything pretty much to lose. And I feel like that's
where I'm at right now. You know, everyone's doubting me.
You know, everyone don't believe in me. Everyone don't think
that I can get back to where I was.
Speaker 8 (01:34:13):
So I know, and I believe.
Speaker 7 (01:34:16):
He's got something to lose, all right. It's some body fat.
Speaker 10 (01:34:19):
Oh yeah, he has a play the why, he has
a play the wh He just.
Speaker 4 (01:34:24):
Got married and he's been eating the good married food. Look,
he's done. Deshaun Watson is talented. Ben He's done.
Speaker 10 (01:34:32):
Boy, he was very talented.
Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
He's done.
Speaker 3 (01:34:35):
What this is is one he's still in the contract
Cleveland Browns, although they already said he was a mistake,
that has some family had husband and wife, but they
still have to pay him his bread. They still got
to pay him this money. So it's like, we'll see
put this message out. This is for the Shawn to
you know, feel like he's making some ground, be confident
about hisself. But every time he comes back, whether it's
(01:34:55):
an ankle injury, whether it was a knee, whether it's
just being able to kill you the first time, Achilles,
it's still the mental situation. It's still what you're dealing with,
what the allegations are, what the civil courts are, what
the settlements are. All that's weighing on your mental and
so far it does not seem that he's Kobe.
Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
So I don't know. At this point you have to
pay this man.
Speaker 3 (01:35:15):
There's one hundred is it seventy five million dollars left
or one hundred and seventy five So this is enoughing
burger for me.
Speaker 4 (01:35:21):
But this does tell me should do with Sandrach's probably going.
Speaker 7 (01:35:24):
To saying he's not Kobe is really going on a
limb right there.
Speaker 3 (01:35:27):
This guy I'm talking about, there's anniversary the response to contract.
Speaker 4 (01:35:31):
There's only one person I see.
Speaker 7 (01:35:32):
They're completely on opposite sides.
Speaker 4 (01:35:34):
Nobody trying.
Speaker 7 (01:35:35):
That's what I'm saying for sure, the.
Speaker 6 (01:35:37):
Tamama mentality, and everybody's been trying to find it ever
since we lost him.
Speaker 7 (01:35:42):
Rest in peace.
Speaker 6 (01:35:43):
But I think that this is more than just a
signal that they're drafting a quarterback. This is an apology
to the Cleveland fan base, and it's bringing back a
guy that was a fan favorite to try and kind
of a race the memory of what Deshaun Watson has.
Speaker 7 (01:36:03):
Been got it what it's cost that franchise.
Speaker 6 (01:36:06):
So you bring back a guy who's got a ring,
who just won an award last time he played for
you guys, and it is a great situation where you
can have somebody ahead of a young guy to take
that pressure off and let him learn without having to
learn in the fire. So I think it's one of
the better moves a really bad franchise it's made in
the last few years.
Speaker 4 (01:36:27):
Is there any chance, Ricky Pete mass answer, We'll go quick.
Speaker 3 (01:36:32):
Is there any chance that he somehow finds his twenty
twenty twenty So that's when it was the twenty twenty seasons.
Speaker 4 (01:36:39):
Pete any chance.
Speaker 13 (01:36:40):
Unfortunately, no, Maz.
Speaker 10 (01:36:42):
I think with another team, yeah, he has a chance.
Speaker 4 (01:36:44):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 12 (01:36:45):
Rick, yeah I would say no. But after hearing Mass,
I agree with that. Maybe another thing.
Speaker 6 (01:36:49):
I love it well knowing you for some years now,
we know Cleveland and the Browns they have no desire
to win.
Speaker 7 (01:36:55):
So could he be better somewhere? No, he's done.
Speaker 10 (01:37:00):
I can see him going to Carolina or a team
like that.
Speaker 4 (01:37:03):
I know that even worse he'd beat. Carolina sucks in
terms of not just the team. You know what it is, the.
Speaker 3 (01:37:08):
Owners, the front office. They can't figure it out. But
maybe maybe if you get to a team.
Speaker 4 (01:37:14):
Who knows. But the right away answer for me is no.
Speaker 10 (01:37:17):
TJ.
Speaker 5 (01:37:18):
Watt, one of the better pass rushers in our game,
went on Instagram and posted this.
Speaker 10 (01:37:25):
I see that he wants an extension. That's his way
of saying, pay me or I ain't playing.
Speaker 4 (01:37:30):
If you can't see him, it is a picture of
t J. Watt, I see some reds.
Speaker 3 (01:37:34):
So maybe after a Cardinals of forty nine ers games,
got his gloves off, his helmet off, and he's got
the peace.
Speaker 4 (01:37:40):
Signs and piece.
Speaker 8 (01:37:41):
You know what this is?
Speaker 3 (01:37:42):
When you pay people people on that team who's doing
money and that actually deserved that money a little more
with that franchise, they're gonna be like, all right, I
see you paying DK Metcal thirty one million dollars. He
ain't called a touchdown in Pittsburgh. Meanwhile, I'm sacking everything
to move. So this is this is the new This
is the new tactic, the twenty twenty fashion media. Go
(01:38:03):
to social media, I post something, and he's done everything
in the right way. You're talking about TJ Watt, So
it's only a matter of time before he's rewarded. And
he plays on the defensive side, and unlike Cincinnati, oh,
Pittsburgh pays the defensive size.
Speaker 4 (01:38:16):
So TJ. White deserves it. He will get his money.
Speaker 3 (01:38:18):
But I just hate that this is what it what
it takes, it's like, and what I mean by that,
I'm not mad at TJ for posting it. Why does
it take this to get the owners, to get the
front office going, to get the juices going.
Speaker 4 (01:38:30):
Now, you see, like TJ.
Speaker 3 (01:38:31):
Watt has been nothing short of amazing for the stealers. Now,
he's a one trick pony, but that one trick works
when you're next to Cam Heyward. Pay that man, Why
does he even have to ask for brand?
Speaker 6 (01:38:40):
I think the difference is from your time of when
you played, you didn't have a leverage tool like Twitter.
Speaker 4 (01:38:47):
No I did not, and I had Twitter, but twet
we still couldn't talk yet.
Speaker 6 (01:38:52):
So nowadays you have the opportunity to incite your fan
base to now leverage ownership to make a move on
your behalf your time. It was just starting before then,
it was unheard of and in fact, guys that spoke
up to the press were looked down upon.
Speaker 7 (01:39:10):
So now you have this opportunity where.
Speaker 6 (01:39:11):
You can sidestep the microphone and you can craft it
a few different times before you post it. Hopefully you do,
but you get an opportunity to kind of side stuff
the negotiation negotiation process and bringing your entire fan base
as arbiters. And so he's what he's doing, and that's
what all these young guys are doing.
Speaker 5 (01:39:30):
Here's an opposite thing that's get paid for a Rogers,
speaking of Aaron Rodgers, one of his buddies, Alan Lazard,
he's taking it eight and a half million dollar pay
cut to stay with the New York Jets get paid
about two million bucks.
Speaker 4 (01:39:46):
You know what, good because Uh, you know what, I'm practicing.
I'm practicing new things.
Speaker 3 (01:39:58):
This was a product of a just being in the
quarterback for the New York Jets, bringing his guys in
front office.
Speaker 4 (01:40:04):
Hey, Aaron, what do you need? Well, you got to
pay my guy eleven million dollars.
Speaker 7 (01:40:07):
Allen was not worth it.
Speaker 4 (01:40:11):
His career will tell you that.
Speaker 3 (01:40:12):
You know what I'm saying. So Aaron's not here, what
is he? If you want to stay on this team,
this is what we have for you. If you don't
want to take this, see the door right there, don't
let it hit you with a good little split you.
Speaker 4 (01:40:24):
So I think that's what this was. And Allan's already
took it. He was like, dually knowed.
Speaker 3 (01:40:28):
I don't know what Aaron's doing. Keep me in the NFL.
So this is a smart deal, smart move by the Jets.
Don't say that too often. And Aaron Glenn into work.
Speaker 6 (01:40:36):
They're taking He's taking care of the people that took
care of him, even without Rogers there, who set up
the whole deal.
Speaker 4 (01:40:42):
Three point five is and bad for Allens are because
he's not worth eleven. However, he is a wide receiver.
He can catch, he makes place he's better in the
red zone. So three point five. I'm not mad at
that smart move by the Jets star.
Speaker 10 (01:40:55):
Ricky.
Speaker 4 (01:40:55):
I'm glad you saw that. Yeah, I'm working on the work.
Speaker 5 (01:41:00):
A guy that's always in the news kind of for
the wrong not kind of. He's always in the news
for the wrong thing. It's Tyreek Hill. He's gotting another
divorce from his pregnant wife. Supposedly he laid hands on
her and the police were there. And I just don't
know what to say about this guy anymore.
Speaker 10 (01:41:17):
I just don't.
Speaker 3 (01:41:18):
I can't speak on on tarregk in terms of being
in the household, in terms of being in the home,
I guess I should read this first statement from the
Dolphins spokesperson.
Speaker 4 (01:41:27):
On Monday, we were informed.
Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
That the police were called to Tarik Hill's home and
after conversations with Tarik and members of his family, the
police departed the residents without further incident and the case
was closed. We have since been in communication with Tarik
and the NFL and we'll have no further comment.
Speaker 12 (01:41:45):
On He just can't get right. I just feel like
he's just one of those people.
Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
That, first of all, he's Florida, Florida boys. Some different
in Florida's if he's not, heact like I know he
lives there.
Speaker 12 (01:41:58):
He's in body in Florida.
Speaker 4 (01:42:02):
It's just messy.
Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
He's not too much on this, Like I hope he's
not putting handley women, but that has come out before.
Speaker 4 (01:42:07):
That's something that has happened before. It's he's got a
lot of I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:42:12):
He went in the first round for a reason, Bray,
and it wasn't because of his texts, and it was
because second.
Speaker 7 (01:42:18):
Maybe third at worst.
Speaker 6 (01:42:20):
But his human being track record off the field was
bad and he's had a little bit of it in
the NFL. He's mostly kept out of problems since he's
been here.
Speaker 3 (01:42:32):
But because he's got money. The problem is it's Miami.
See when you're in Kansas City. Let me speak from
bad let me see from boring cities. Okay, let me
break this down. Boring citys.
Speaker 4 (01:42:41):
When you're in.
Speaker 3 (01:42:42):
Kansas City, which is a cool city, but like you're
not outside like that. You know, it's not just a
ton of distractions. We'll call them for a married man,
if you catch my drift, It's not like that you're
focusing on football. You're having a good time, you know,
you're traveling. Now that he's older, Now that he's not
with Kansas City, he's with the Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (01:42:59):
The team sucks. He's married, i'sed to live in South Beach.
Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
I know it's down there. I know what the distractions
look like down there. So you're allowing those distractions to
take a hold. Now you're having here's a kid, here's
another kid.
Speaker 8 (01:43:11):
Oh, I'm married.
Speaker 4 (01:43:12):
I have kids outside of the relationships.
Speaker 3 (01:43:14):
So when people have your address, that's when you start
to get these situations. Because not just his wife has
his address. The girl that you met at the club
last weekend at Live she now has the address. So
she's around the corner. She's floating in the area. So
you do a couple of these things man like slowly,
but surely. The wife keeps seeing it. Now she's angry,
(01:43:36):
Now she's frustrated. Eventually she gets a little aggressive, and
now hands are placed. So there's no exception, no excuses,
never shit, you ever put hands on a woman. I
hope that's not the case, but if it is, I
would take a real hard look at him if I
was any franchise after the Dolphin on what he can
(01:43:57):
be to a team, because the speed the talent, everything is.
It's amazing. It's first Battle Hall of Famer. But the
other stuff is that what you want your franchise to
be known for. If this is what the case is,
but I would like to get more information on it.
Let's take a last commercial break and then we'll come
back and wrap up the show. I guess the message
is on me Planet Fitness. Your fitness is essential. So

Speaker 5 (01:48:01):
Hey, Rob Gronkowski, he's given back to his high school.
He donated four hundred thousand to build their weight room
for his Woodland Hills High School.
Speaker 10 (01:48:09):
I three, we could run the video on this people try.
Speaker 3 (01:48:12):
Its Rob Woodland Hills.
Speaker 10 (01:48:23):
That's gron That's a pretty cool thing.
Speaker 3 (01:48:26):
Huh. So this is wooland Hills, PA right that I
don't know. I think it is because I recognize the
colors that black and light blue. Steve Preston went to
Woodland Hills as well as Ryan Mundy speaking of Pittsburgh.
Still so, but this is good. This is typically what
you're supposed to do.
Speaker 4 (01:48:42):
He's got more than enough money. Get back to your
high school. It's good to see.
Speaker 3 (01:48:46):
I wish my high school, Bishop Gallagher that is still existed.
I wanted to do some things for them, but you know,
they fell on hard times back and they remember they
closed all the Catholic schools up back in like.
Speaker 4 (01:48:55):
The mid two thousands of late two thousands. I know,
you know so, but this is cool. It's good to
see people go back and give high school.
Speaker 3 (01:49:05):
He was created there and he's trying to do the
same for the next, the next Gronkowski or the next whoever.
Speaker 8 (01:49:11):
So I like it.
Speaker 7 (01:49:12):
I'm not a big fan of my high school.
Speaker 6 (01:49:13):
I won't mention you by name, but my grade school,
Kingsbury out in Oxford.
Speaker 7 (01:49:19):
I mean, I'm not rolling in it, but if I
ever was, I would buy them a track.
Speaker 4 (01:49:25):
Respect.
Speaker 10 (01:49:26):
Shout out to the north Berg and Bruins back in Jersey.
Speaker 7 (01:49:29):
What would you buy them?
Speaker 10 (01:49:30):
Nothing?
Speaker 7 (01:49:31):
They got it all already there.
Speaker 5 (01:49:34):
Don't forget they're in Hudson County. It's the crooked No,
it's the crookedest county in the country. Besides besides Cook
County in Chicago, Hudson County in New Jersey where I
grew up.
Speaker 10 (01:49:46):
They have a bunch of crooks there as well. They'll
be fine, they'll be fine.
Speaker 7 (01:49:49):
What would you have got? What would you have done
for Bishop Gallagher?
Speaker 4 (01:49:53):
Well, I mean I've done a couple of things, so
I guess I would have added that to it. But
I just would have remodeled this school. Like Bits Gallagher
is right there.
Speaker 3 (01:50:00):
Maross ninety four is around the corner from Mas and
Ryan especially right but yes, round the service drive.
Speaker 8 (01:50:06):
It just was older.
Speaker 4 (01:50:07):
Catholic school was small.
Speaker 12 (01:50:08):
It was raggedy, like.
Speaker 4 (01:50:09):
We didn't have a football field.
Speaker 7 (01:50:11):
So that's the first thing you would have done right there.
Speaker 4 (01:50:13):
I probably I probably was lights. I probably would have.
Speaker 8 (01:50:17):
In the back.
Speaker 3 (01:50:18):
They had an area that but even that it was small.
I would have bought them a football field. There's a
field that we practiced that we had to walk across
the freeway. War drive across the freeway, drive down. It's
literally a block over from Yeah yeah one, okay, so
you know, yeah, we practiced over there and then came back.
Speaker 4 (01:50:37):
I would have fixed that area up, that field up
and made it our field.
Speaker 7 (01:50:39):
Those boys had a hell of a four by.
Speaker 4 (01:50:43):
You know, brothers on the East Brothers.
Speaker 5 (01:50:46):
You know who's got a good field, the North Carolina
tar Hills. Our first look at Bill Belichick walking around
being the boss.
Speaker 10 (01:50:54):
Check it out one.
Speaker 4 (01:50:57):
I ain't gonna lie see him back whole.
Speaker 3 (01:51:00):
It's good to see him usually twice back on the
face like somethings just makes sense, as some things just
makes sense. I'm watching Bill almost the colors are somewhat
the same. If you're looking at the rear quarterback.
Speaker 7 (01:51:17):
I'm not a big fun an actual end of an era.
Let's keep it going.
Speaker 10 (01:51:22):
If it was success that.
Speaker 7 (01:51:23):
I want to see, it goes lost.
Speaker 3 (01:51:25):
Quarterback that you're not looking for outside the person that
you sideline, Steph Curry is probably number one back.
Speaker 6 (01:51:36):
I'm not upset at this current NBA era alive because
I think there influx of youth that's coming in right
now that we're already watching Caid.
Speaker 7 (01:51:44):
You know that tremendously exciting and very intriguing.
Speaker 4 (01:51:50):
Is this nineteen ninety eight?
Speaker 7 (01:51:52):
Yeah, it really is. I think I like that. I
think that it is.
Speaker 6 (01:51:55):
It's very reminiscent of having Ai and McGrady and Kobe
men and change the league over. Honestly that I'm worried
about most. I don't think it's gonna end for fifteen
more years, and it's the Dan and Bradham.
Speaker 4 (01:52:10):
Wait to bring it back.
Speaker 10 (01:52:12):
I like it. Now. Belichick looks good out there, he does.
He looks good. Then he gets to go home to
his twenty four year old cheers.
Speaker 8 (01:52:19):
What he say?
Speaker 12 (01:52:20):
He looks youthful.
Speaker 4 (01:52:21):
Did you guys see just graduated from North Carolina?
Speaker 13 (01:52:24):
They say thirty seconds to go here, gentlemen.
Speaker 14 (01:52:26):
And I'm going to conclude this with the video that
came out today speaking of Belle Bell Belichick's girlfriend Matt
In twenty seconds, you'll see this.
Speaker 4 (01:52:36):
Wh Yeah, Belichick, what's here? What's he? How you're talking about?
I wonder what a Belichick story is gonna be these players.
Speaker 10 (01:52:41):
I thought this was a minute long, not five minutes.
Speaker 14 (01:52:45):
No, it's pretty long. But here's what happened today, gentlemen.
Missus Belichick is practicing her cheerleading for UNC.
Speaker 4 (01:52:56):
Like she's gonna really be on the team apparently, so
na I see it, well what she does.
Speaker 12 (01:53:03):
The coach Dayton series.
Speaker 3 (01:53:05):
He was just showing off, you know, just show Bill
Belichick always probably always wanted to be the player, not
the coach.
Speaker 4 (01:53:11):
You probably always wanted to date the cheerleader. You know
what I'm saying, not the chick. The hr is cheerleader.
Speaker 7 (01:53:19):
Bill Belichick continues to win.
Speaker 8 (01:53:22):
Yeah, right when they have.
Speaker 4 (01:53:23):
A fifty year difference seventy she was twenty four.
Speaker 7 (01:53:26):
So silent.
Speaker 5 (01:53:30):
Hey last night, Uh during bowling, I was able to
at least watch the Frozen Wings loss yesterday.
Speaker 10 (01:53:35):
Yeah, we'll talk about them. They're dead. The Dead Wings
are back.
Speaker 5 (01:53:40):
Western Michigan in double overtime knocked out Denver University. They
are going to the Frozen four final tomorrow. Yeah, in
school history, hats off to the Broncos. They had a
too nothing lead Denver tying them up. Almost wanted a regulation,
but it goes to overtimes and Western Michigan woke up
(01:54:01):
just in time and they advanced. They will play Boston
you tomorrow night for the championship. That's good man, it's awesome.
Speaker 10 (01:54:08):
Congratulations Western Michigan.
Speaker 7 (01:54:09):
Somebody got represented.
Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Shout to the Western Michigan because Michigan has been to
their fair share of frozen fours and come up in
the hand and so look, Western is kind of like
a Michigan sister.
Speaker 4 (01:54:19):
School, if you will. So I got in the broncos man,
he said, what was.
Speaker 7 (01:54:27):
My friend?
Speaker 4 (01:54:28):
I didn't want to say. Just know, I just never
had to drive going to Caldum Miszoo.
Speaker 13 (01:54:31):
If you catch me, shout out to our.
Speaker 4 (01:54:35):
Going to calam Mizoo.
Speaker 13 (01:54:36):
Shout out to our very own Justin Satawa, who is
a Western Michigan.
Speaker 4 (01:54:41):
Proud Justin.
Speaker 7 (01:54:45):
Him and I got into it during the pistol or
the Lions season.
Speaker 6 (01:54:48):
I was like, you guys ain't never won nothing, So
I hope I'm wrong, my friend, Justin, good luck to
you and your broncos.
Speaker 3 (01:54:55):

Speaker 4 (01:55:06):
Five plus five and eleven All dogs go to Heaven.
Speaker 3 (01:55:09):
Great show, great energy, you know we I feel like

been fun. It's been a really good week all the
way around. Man for answering wells, Tom Masaway piece, spive back.
Hell of a weekend, I mean week out of you
appreciate about Ricky over there, Ricky, Ricky.
Speaker 4 (01:55:26):
Is This is the moral compass of the show. I
try to have you a good moral compass.
Speaker 12 (01:55:31):
And it is what I lack in sports knowledge, I
make up with enthusiasm.
Speaker 10 (01:55:36):
You know what, unknown to mankind that Jim and the show.
Speaker 4 (01:55:41):
We will see you next week.
Speaker 10 (01:55:43):
