Speaker 1 (00:02):
It's two pm Detroit, and you know what that means.
Detroit media icon Ryan Armani, University of Michigan, Great Brailn
Edwards and of course Mass are about to take over
on Woodward Sports every day two to four pm. It's
the best Detroit sports talk on Detroit's best sports networks,
Woodward Sports.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
And good afternoon. Welcome to the YOURMANI Needward.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Show with Man's right here on the Woodwards Sports and Network.
My name is stick filling in for Braylan Edwards today.
That is my friend and foe Anson Wells over there
to my left.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
You know, you know, before you introduced anybody else, this
man just told me that he ripped Ben Wallace's info
off of Jersey and then put Rodney Stuckey in place
of it.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Wow, well, I was hurt.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
I'm hurt by that.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
When Ben left for Chicago.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
I listen, I was the biggest Ben Wallace fan in
the world. I had Ben Wallace Jersey's ever won the
Pistons Lightning Bolt jersey, the red jersey from.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Back in the day. I had the home away like.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
This was back when rocking jerseys was something I did.
You know, I was in my mid twenties, so I
was Ben.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Wallace was my guy because he left a free agency.
Then that dude left for the Bulls for six million
more three million more a year. But I've learned to
forgive Ben, like you know how I feel about Barry.
I still have a rough time getting over what Barry
did to this team and to myself. I take these
things very personal.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
And when Ben Wallace chose the Bulls over the Pistons,
I unstitched.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
All the Wallaces from the back of the jersey.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
I bought Stucky and I had somebody else stitch them
all on, so I had all the throwback Stucky jerseys
that you could imagine.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
And then of course Ben Wallace comes.
Speaker 6 (01:51):
Back to the Pistons.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
I'm just like, Man, did you show just on who
broke your heart most Detroit?
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Yeah, we could probably Ben with how much I invested
into Ben Wallace and the Jerseys and all that, and
just how much I was allowed to talk crap because
of that team, and it hurt when he left. Man still,
and now I blame Flip Saunders.
Speaker 5 (02:16):
Now that now I blame you, Flip Trash.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Huh. Now I blame you.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
Flip a little bit. God, you head right now.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yeah, you know what he's not doing.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
He's not giving the ball to Ben on offense, pissing
him off, so he leaves for Chicago. Like Larry Brown
used to always feed Ben the first possession of the game, right, Like,
I don't care if we go like win the tip, Ben,
go get your post up. Ben's involved. We gave him one.
Let's roll and play the other forty eight minutes without
having to run an offensive possession for him.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
That's all you had to do, right, But.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Well played.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Tom has away in the building today. What up, Tom?
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Hey, at least one of us are here, right, at
least one of the show guys are here.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, with the smallest name. Yeah, the guy with the
smallest name the biggest heart too. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
Good to have you guys here. Honestly, I love doing
the show with you. Two idiots. Already idiots. He got Pete,
I already put, I already took.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
You're gonna need him today because I got a lot
of things and a lot of problems with you people.
Speaker 7 (03:37):
I don't think.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, I got a lot of grievances to air today,
and I don't think a lot of you know.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
I'm known as the cad hater around here.
Speaker 7 (03:42):
They put a chat up I'm not.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
A yeah, just because a question was asked before the season. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
They so they try to pin me as this cad hater,
and I'm not a cad hater, you know. But I
hold him to an elite status, which comes with you're
a godf lover, though I am a golf lover, and
I hold him to an elite stand which comes with
elite criticism. So like, if you don't want to be
considered a superstar, then you don't have to deal with
the expectations, right, And that the dirty little secret.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
If you want to fly under the radar, you don't.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Want to have to meet anybody's accountability standards.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
You just be an average player.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
But if you want to say, like Kay Cunningham has
been quoted as saying, I want to be the best
player in the entire NBA, there's certain things that you
just can't allow to happen.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
Are you talking about a twenty one er run?
Speaker 3 (04:28):
I am talking about a twenty one Yeah. The Pistons
obviously they lost Game one heartbreaking fashion too honestly, But
like Anson, we got two hours and we could literally
spend it all on the Pistons and just the lessons learned,
how they got here, what they need to do. But really,
(04:51):
that's was my biggest question to Pete when I walked
in the studio today.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Have you ever seen.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Another quote unquote superstar let another team have a twenty
one to o run in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Of an NBA playoff game.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Now, like, that's pretty specific and pretty dialed in, But
when I think back, like, I can't remember that happening,
And this is what I want Caid to be, right,
I want him to be that stopper.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Oh my god, they're on a ten Oh run, is Okaid?
It's over. At least we're gonna stem this run. But
it couldn't.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
It wouldn't, and it didn't happen in Game one. And
I'm not panicking because this is playoff basketball.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
There's a long way to go. There's a lot to
be learned. This is a young team.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
But as far as I need my superstar to step
up in those moments, I need my superstar to step
up in those moments.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
And if that makes me a hater, then so be it.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
And it doesn't make you a hater.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
You can't watch a twenty one to nothing run go
on without questioning your leader and your coach.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
Hey, would we see six minutes.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
Out of Ron Holland send Ron Allen out there and
tell him to tackle oh Giannanobi, start a fight. Both
of you guys get kicked out. I'm serious as a
former head coach, There's absolutely no way that I will
allow a twenty one to zero run. We will do
something and the their offense just get.
Speaker 5 (06:15):
The ball in the basket.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Yeah, But the thing is, how do you do that?
If you look I went in today this morning and
I looked at all of the possessions in that span
of times about four and a half minutes, it was
like four to twenty five plus foot three pointers taken.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
And then to your point, before.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
That run went on, you've got a five second inbound
violation followed up immediately by a twenty four second violation
a miss dunk. I know we got lucky after that,
but you've got Tobias Harris playing his game best game
as a Piston two point zero, and why don't you
get it to him in the block? Why don't you
get it to Kate in the block. And they just
(06:55):
kind of had this almost an arrogance that they could
shoot their way out of this run because they shot
the ball so well through three quarters. But when it
comes down to a run and you have to stop it,
like you said, you go to bully ball and you
get a bucket.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Well, I mean everybody talks about Kobe mentality, right. Could
you see Kobe letting the twenty one oh run happen,
saying give you the ball for.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
The next seven possessions? Nope, I don't care if I die.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
I'm gonna get to the free throw line or something's
gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Could you see Isaiah or Chauncey allowing that to happen?
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Exactly? And that's my point.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
And once again, it's game one, so let's not completely overreact.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah, but that's what happens.
Speaker 8 (07:36):
But we have to talk about you guys are reacting
more to the to the twenty one and oh run
than the overreaction of the game. I feel like you're
fine in your reaction because you're saying, like, don't no overact.
I don't think you're overreacting at all. Twenty one to
zero at any point. The season is crazy, let alone the.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Playoffs, especially in the playoffs, right, But this is how
this series was supposed to play out right. The New
York Knicks are the higher seed, they're the more experienced team.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
You kind of.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Expect something like that, and I don't know if it
was almost ignorance by this Pistons team because they didn't
understand the pressure. And like in the playoffs, man, you
gotta keep your foot on their throat because if you
let anybody breathe a little bit of oxygen, next thing
you know, it's a twenty one and oh run and
Campaign is having.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
His way with you in the fourth quarter. Shot you may.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
That's what the Knicks suffocated them. So it's the fourth
quarter started, and Thibodeau probably looked at him and said, hey, guys,
you're down nine, you're down eight, whatever it was, it
was eight. This is embarrassing your home. So they forced
the five second and then they get a twenty four second. Meanwhile,
(08:47):
they hit two threes the Knicks to get the game
within a bucket right away. Then, of course the miss
dunk Assar Thompson miss dunk later in that one, but
he was interfered with that dunk, and that was that
Jalen Door who's dunk got interfered with.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
That was Tim Hardaway's and I'll tell you that. I'm
telling you man, that would have put us up six,
and we did it. It's they were talking online yesterday
that it is one of the most unique and rare
moments in basketball, because a you don't see a ball
go through the hoop, into the into the net and
(09:23):
then have it kicked out. That's super duper rare. But
then you have a missed foul not so rare. And
then on top of it, you have an offensive interference on.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
Your own dunk.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
And I just even though we increased the lead a
little bit after that those extra two points, I would
have put it at eleven, and when we got to nine,
if anything, you see the Knicks take a time out there.
But that never happened. And this team seems so shell
shell shocked through those that three or four minutes of
just weirdness that when the Knicks came out with the
(10:00):
different adjustment defensively, we never figured it out at all.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
Remember when Mickey TOLROCKI to go to the south pad.
Now is the fifteenth round against Apollo. He's like, no,
I'm a gonna do it. It's too late. The minute
he changed he won the fight. Can you double knock out.
He got up.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
Can you do to?
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Tom? Timbodhau saved that defense literally for the fourth quarter.
He literally he's changed that whole team and waited, He's like, okay,
these punks are up. Okay, let's let him have it. Now,
Let's let him have it. The nickt suffocated the younger,
dumber team. That's what happened.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
If this happens in game five, I'm a hell of
a lot more worry, right, But this, as you're saying, experience,
they're ignorant to a playoff game. You got a couple
guys that have been there before. But when you look
at this team and if you were gonna expect them
to just disappear for a stretch, you'd hope it's game
one and on the heels of a great game. They
(11:00):
were the better team for three quarters. So I'm not
worried at all. I would be more worried if they
lost on the last second shot after winning all game,
and what that could do to them emotionally.
Speaker 5 (11:11):
Those guys.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Instead of being disappointed, they've got to be pissed.
Speaker 5 (11:15):
They better be pissed.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Well, when all things are said and done, New York.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Was supposed to win Game one at home exactly, and
they did what they were supposed to do. You know,
there's that long standing playoff phrase, Oh, the series doesn't
start till the home team loses. In this situation, I
beg to differ. I think tomorrow or tonight is a
must win for the Pistons because if they go down
oh two, I don't see them having the chops to
be able to come back.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
They're not playing at the palace.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yeah, well, we don't know. We don't know what else
we talked about that We don't know.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
We talked about that during the Pistons postgame show, and
we'll be doing that again tonight after game two. But
you know, we really don't know. Is the game sold out?
For Game three? Are we going to be bringing the
typical atmosphere that we had back during the going to
work Pistons. So that's a huge question mark. We talked
last night. Is this a team that can hold serve
(12:05):
at home and take it to Game seven? I think
they could win a Game seven. I'm just not sure
that they can hold serve all three games at home.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
Do you think if campaign doesn't get hot like he
did in the fourth quarter, that the Knicks win that
game because we talk about their defense, but him going.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
What he got three or four and the fourth quarter
a steel and a lot of steel followed three people.
The dude was all over the place.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
But this is what I want the young Pistons fans
to remember or to kind of look back on, because
we kind of forget the no names that have beat
the Pistons in the past in playoff games. They remember
Booby Gibson and what was that? Like, oh six, Booby
Gibbon And who the hell is Booby getting?
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Like?
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Where did he go? Where did he come from? Remember
Luke Walton in Game two of the NBA Finals in
two thousand and four. That's the only reason they want
Luke Walton happens to be on the Pistons staff. Now
we got Brian scalabrineed one year, remember that with the nuts.
Brian Scalabrini just goes nuts. And now we had the
campaign game, So hopefully you can prevent those things from happening.
(13:10):
But at the same time, it's the NBA campaign gets
paid a lot of money, he shoots at a decent
three point percentage, he got hot, and the Pistons couldn't respond.
The Pistons need to have that type of performance from
a dude, a random dude.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
It's got to be an a star.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
It's got to be a beef stew Well, he can't
be like Kate has to be the superstar, and then.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
There's got to be a supporting cast.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
Beef Sue's hurt, guys, we don't know how bad. Yeah,
when they lost him, basically, that's it. When he went
to the locker room, that was the Pistons' best chance.
He walked out. He's the rim protector. He was playing
on one and a half legs most of the second half,
but he was just.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
Playing so well. Yes, he was playing so well.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
He played on one and a half legs, man, not
even one leg. Guy's hopping around up and down the court.
And when he went out, that's it. Hey, you know what.
They still made a run with a minute and forty left,
got it down to six. Again, they got it down
to six.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
There's some encouraging things.
Speaker 5 (14:09):
They showed that they can hang. And then the Knicks
hit the three and that was it.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
That's the thing. At least this wasn't a fifty point
crawl out. Oh my god, the Memphis killed when we.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Had all of our quotes from the host here on
picking how many games and who would win, and with
a little bit of a quote, one of the things
that I said that would push this team pass this
first round matchup with the Knicks would be depth and chemistry.
We had chemistry for three quarters. They looked out of
sorts from that fourth quarter. But we have an eleven
man roster rotation that we talked about last week. Now,
(14:42):
Paul Reid is it's kind of a barely eleventh man.
But you saw six minutes out of your boy Ron
holland you saw no Marcus Sasser, and you saw no Fontechio.
So when I look at your question campaign, they've got
a Miles McBride, they've god, you know.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
Ran or not Zo.
Speaker 9 (15:02):
But but what I think is that they have those
shooting X factors on their bench that if we leave
the door open like we did, one of those X factors,
one of those bench guys is gonna come through.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Like you said, I agree, we need one of our
bench guys to come in and hit a few threes. Obviously,
that's you know, Beasley being the sixth man. But I
want to see some Sasser. If McBride's on the court,
I want to see Sasser out there with that speed,
with his outside shot.
Speaker 5 (15:30):
I'd like to see a little fun tech.
Speaker 10 (15:31):
You.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
You know, he's not my favorite, but he brings that energy.
He could hit a couple open threes. And then Ron
Holland is a guy again I'm not fully sold on,
but he brings so much energy.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
And I'll tell you what.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
You put him in that fourth quarter, he's gonna mix
it up and he's going to change the emotion. Maybe
not the score, but he'll change the emotion and the
energy during.
Speaker 5 (15:51):
That twenty one to zero run.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
You gotta put an X factor in, man, you gotta
put some guy that you're not expecting to make a
move and say, can you make a difference this playoffs?
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Well? JB. Bicker Staph I think he's going to make
the proper adjustments. I think he knows what to do.
He's he's the most playoff experience thing with the Pistons
right now. I mean, I guess you could say Tobias Harris.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
But Pete, you have that audio game.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Let's throw that up right now.
Speaker 11 (16:15):
I mean, we're the better team for three quarters, I thought,
and again you know, these are learning lessons for us,
and we have to be honest with ourselves when it
comes to that. We talk pregame about what experience is,
and this is experience. Now you come back the next game,
and how quickly do you learn from it? You know,
you got guys in their first playoff game and understanding
(16:37):
what playoff basketball is and what closing a playoff basketball
game is and how hard that is. You know, it's
hard to win in the playoffs because people are laying
it all out there. So it's not a typical regular
season game where you know, some things may work if
you you know, takes miss your execution, those types of things.
So again, it's a great opportunity for us to learn.
(16:58):
You know, they did what they were supposed to do,
and now we've got tape, we've got some experience. We
can go back, break it down and be better in
game two.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
And this is where the leadership of a JB. Bicker
staff is comforting in the moment. Right, we're fans, We're
allowed to overreact.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Lod it's gone, the roofs up fire twenty one and zero.
They're not gonna be able to win another game.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Really seem like he's got the attitude of been there,
done that, seen this, know what I'm gonna do with
my adjustments, and we're gonna move forward into the next game.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
And this first half is.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Going to be very interesting because you know what's gonna happen, right,
You know, the Knicks are gonna come out with their
best punch in this first quarter, and if the Pistons
can survive it, they got.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
A chance to win this game tonight.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Yeah, and we saw a pretty good punch from them
in the first quarter, which the Pistons survived.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
You know, Caid wasn't playing well in the first half.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
It was literally the two veteran guys that we brought
in this offseason, and Tim Hardaway and Tobias Harris carried
us through that first half. Cad looked great in the third,
but in the fourth when we were out of sorts.
Just don't understand why you don't go back to the world,
go back to what got you through those first three quarters,
and that was Tobias Harris.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Yeah, this is when we missed Ja ninety too.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
It's our second best player and he's not out well.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
And he's your best ISO player. Essentially, What were you saying.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
Man, I said, they took Kate out of the game.
That was there.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
That was but you can't be cunning him, you can't.
There is none of that.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
The best player, he said, You see that guy there,
take him out of the game. That's what they did.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
That's what it was. Suffocated.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
They ran cover two all three quarters, and then they
ran a blitz package all fourth.
Speaker 5 (18:39):
Call what you want, but.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
You don't think deals with that. You don't think Luca
deals with that.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
You don't think other superstars in the league deal with
targeted defenses at them.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
At the end of the day, if Caid wants to
be the best player in the league, he's got to
learn how to handle the double team hand. He's got
to learn how to handle the box like, he's got
to learn how to conveet all of these things. Because
you were watching Jokic in their first playoff game.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Dude was swarmed by everybody.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Like every time he's spun, he's trying to spend them,
and a lot of the times he looked out of
sync too. But eventually he found a way, and I
think Caid will over time. But he's got to figure
it out now in the playoffs. So he's got to
figure it out tonight.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
Yeah, And we saw around February teams start to diagnose
the double team and realizing that in certain a lot
of situations.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
It frustrates Kid.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
And he's struggling now from becoming an elite scorer that
can score on anyone to now facing double teams and
having to beat those double teams. But this is a
guy that he needs another ball handler on the court.
Asar as many great plays as he makes, he makes
(19:49):
just as many boneheaded plays, and I don't mind him
handling the ball, But in the playoffs right now, I'd
like to see a little more Sasser as well as
plenty more Shrewder. I'm the court with Kad, because when
Kaid was getting double teamed, he's given the ball to
Beasley who's just looking for a shot, or he's given
it to a big man that's not a great ball handler.
(20:10):
During that fourth quarter, he didn't have a secondary ball
handler with him. And if he's going to beat that
second or that double team, he's got to have somebody
that can comfortably control the ball, but also somebody that
can allow him to set up in the post, like
you brought up earlier in the show.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
So you think with the injury to beefs too.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Obviously we don't know how severe that is, but let's
let's just say it's gonna keep him out the next
two games just for argument's sake, Right, do you go small?
You go three guard lineup, just to give that extra
ball handler on the court an outlet for Cade.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
Because Kat can play with anybody, They're not gonna go
small and take cat out. I think the key to
this series is wearing cat out over six seven games.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
All about wearing the cat out.
Speaker 7 (20:52):
Absolutely, always always wear motto.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
Well played, my friend.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
I'm gonna just hand it over back to you after that.
Speaker 7 (21:02):
Your answering what we.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
We gotta wear the cat out, gentlemen, we gotta wear
the cat out, and uh, wearing the cat doesn't play.
Speaker 5 (21:13):
You're gonna see you drop.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
You're gonna see at least eighteen minutes out of Paul
to wear out.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
And then finally you'll bust through.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
You'll bust through.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
That's how you gotta do it, Figger Staff, That's my
message in the locker room.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Sorry tonight you're wearing that cat out.
Speaker 8 (21:31):
Sorry, we apologize, Tom Mans away.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
Christmas. I do believe tonight. It's early, but it is
must win, and I thought they needed game one, and
I was this man, I was so excited after that
third quarter. I mean I was standing up and I
was in the slanty with my daughter. Was like seenior pictures.
We had to go all over to town. So I'm
watching it in spurts, but I'm listening the whole game.
(21:59):
But to watch what they did in that third quarter,
I thought they played a great, great quarter, one of
their best quarters, and the Knixt looked down frustrated. They really, man,
it really hurt when you got the free play coming
out of the fourth quarter. You have the ball, you're
up eight with the ball, you can't inbound it. Then
(22:20):
the Knicks hit a three, and then you inbound it
and you can't hit it. You can't get a shot off.
In twenty four seconds, Knicks hit another three. It's a
two point game. Yeah, the Pisses did punch the score
up a little bit after that offensive interference. The miss
dunk two miss dunks, basically a mist foul, and it
was over. It was over that quick, and they need
(22:45):
I don't know. I don't know how this game is
gonna go. I am I'm like my, I have no
idea how this game is gonna go tonight because I
think the Pisses gave him their best shot in that
first three quarters. Really yeah it It kind of scares
me a little tonight's game.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
And Pete, I want you to put this up in
the chat as a gool. Were you encouraged or discouraged
by Game one?
Speaker 5 (23:09):
As what? Say you? Yeah, I'm discourage discouraged because I
think they can't play better than they did in the
first three quarters. It's like the team that is undermanned,
but they really put it all out there. And then
the big boys said, Okay, listen, kid, get the hell
out of the way. Let me show you how to play.
I'm taking over this court. It's winners out twenty one
to zero run. You don't see twenty one zero runs
(23:33):
in the playoffs, and I know, okay, see was now
a whole bunch of points this weekend.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Uh And the Lakers, the big shots, they lost.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
The game to the t Wolves. So there are teams
out there that are supposed to win and they didn't win.
I do believe, and I hope I'm wrong that the
Pisses gave it their best shot in the first three quarters.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
I disagree, man. They gave it their best, the best basketball.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
They could play.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
They played in the third quarter. But if they play
the way that they did in the first half for
a full game, they can beat them at home round
of the road.
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Well, but the.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
First half was a very closely contested matchup, and they
weren't playing their best ball. But they certainly weren't playing
twenty one to zero ball either. I'm I'm very encouraged.
What I saw was exactly what I had hoped to see.
A sar stifling defense on Brunson. He had eight points
in the first half. But you also look and you
(24:28):
you get Jalen Durrant, but you get Jalen Duran NSR.
Both taken out early in the first quarter. Early in
the first quarter because of foul trouble. Those guys never
got into their game. That's one of the worst games
we've seen out of Jalen Durrant since December. So I
think that if they can stay out of foul trouble
and allow their starters to get into some rhythm, all
(24:49):
that I saw were two evenly match teams, one with
more experience.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Asar brought you brought him up I loved his quote
after the game about Jalen Brunson about how he's good
at drawing fouls.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
Yeah, and like.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Pretending to get fouls. And once again, it's a learning
curve for the young Pistons, right, Like while you're in.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
The playoffs, now you're playing against the season vet. Yeah,
you're gonna know when to reach. You're gonna know a
little bit more coming into this next game. And for
all the reasons I was disappointed they lost the game,
is the reason I.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Was encouraged by that game.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Like, I don't think a twenty one to zero run's
gonna happen again in this series. I don't think Kate
Cunningham is gonna go cold from the floor.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
In the fourth quarter like he did.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
I don't think they're gonna give up a lead like
they had, because now they put a little bit more
value on that lead. They understand that eight points isn't
much in the NBA playoffs, Like you can't get comfortable
up eight. Hell, I wouldn't even be comfortable up fifteen
in the NBA playoffs. Twenty maybe that's when you can
start maybe taking a little bit back. But how many
(25:50):
games have you seen in the playoffs, when a team's
up twenty, they start to lay off and next thing
you know, boom, the momentum happens, the calls happen, the
shots start falling.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
You can't get the energy back. For all that.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Reason, I'm encouraged, because you showed you could hang with them.
A fluke had to happen for you to lose a
twenty one to Zer run, which isn't gonna happen again.
You saw their trick defense that mass thinks they pulled
out of their butt in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
That changed everything. Well, now you can have adjustments to that.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
So I'm pretty confident rolling into this game that this
is gonna be a very tight, winnable game for the Pistons.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
And there's a word going around Detroit for a while now,
and it's grit. Yes, we get to see how gritty
this team is tonight.
Speaker 5 (26:30):
Period.
Speaker 4 (26:30):
They took a serious shot in the fourth quarter and
they've been reeling for two nights, probably sleepless nights. But
this team, despite being super young, I believe, is very
very gritty. I don't think they're scared. I just think
they're pissed, and I want to see that. In the
(26:51):
first quarter so we're gonna learn a lot about this
young team after tip off.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
That's it. You know, you take a butt whooping and
how you rebound.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
That's like, it's what life's about. If we want to
get all metaphorical. If you get knocked down, how quickly
can you.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Get back up?
Speaker 3 (27:06):
And the Piston's got a chance to do it tonight.
And if they go one to one tonight, Thursday night
in the Motor City.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Is going to be absolutely in that game.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
If they go oh two into Thursday, it's gonna be
uh right, it's gonna be a ten out of ten
if they win, maybe seven because LCA is gonna put
on for them, But it's not gonna be anything if
they steal a game in New York, Holy.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
Hell, six and a half tonight next to favored by
six and a half, so well within the bookies rings there.
You know what I love?
Speaker 4 (27:38):
I absolutely love that it is NFL Draft week and
we've made it through the first half hour of this
show not talking about football. Uh, we are gonna get
to that, and I am You're stuck with me all
week this week, but I can I'm happy some presence guys.

Speaker 12 (28:05):
Well, would you like to do it the super chat

do it the super chat.
Speaker 5 (28:10):

Speaker 4 (28:11):
So whoever gets the most super chat peaks put together
the wheel.
Speaker 12 (28:14):
Why don't we just why don't we just say if

prize from Anson on the wheel nine per entry?
Speaker 7 (28:22):

Speaker 7 (35:13):

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Pete is also here cooking in the TD booth as
he likes to do.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
And the NFL Draft.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
I cannot believe we've gone thirty five minutes on a
draft week without talking about the Detroit Lions, Brad Holmes
and the pimp job he's gonna do on the entire NFL.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
On Thursday night, the Old the Eights and.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Mel Kuiper came up with their mock draft, which Chris lazy.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
This is what I call this mock draft lazy and
you know why. Andson, Well, let's say, let's let let's tell.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
You who they're gonna draft at twenty eight, the Detroit
Lions at twenty eight. Mel Kuiper has Michael Williams. A
lot of people have that edge out of Georgia, right,
A lot of people have that blah blah blah, Aiden Hutchinson.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
They need someone across blah blah blah. We've heard all that.
What did Brad Holmes say last week?
Speaker 7 (36:03):
Though?
Speaker 2 (36:04):
Like mas. Can you quote Brad Holmes from last week?
What did he say?
Speaker 5 (36:08):
I can quote him. He basically says, hah, we need
defensive end, so I'll just draft the defensive end. If
he I guess, if he can't play, I'll still just
draft the defensive end because we need a defensive end.
That's what you guys tell me. I'm not gonna do that.
I'm going to draft, like I always do, the best
player we think will fit in this locker room because
(36:29):
we are basically we are family, and if you don't fit,
you must have quit. They're not going to put him
in unless he is a fit. I would not be
shocked if he went out and got an offensive lineman
with the first pick. I know we all say we
gotta get d N d N d end. I would
not be shocked whatever this guy does. I won't be
(36:51):
shocked if he takes a corner back, but he could
do that as well.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
He's gonna take the best player available, period, end of story.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
And that's pretty much what he said last week.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Like, listen, you want me to chase a defensive end
and draft guy that's ranked thirty seventh on my board
when I'm passing up on my seventh guy because he
doesn't fit the position you think we need. We all
know they need defensive end help. We all know that
the whole defense got decimated last year. But Brad Holmes
isn't gonna do what you want him to do. Brad
Holmes never does what you want him to do.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Brad Holmes made Braylan Edwards walk off the damn stage
when he drafted Jamier Gibbs. It turned out.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
Okay, this is what I've been telling people for the
last two years, because Brad Holmes has earned this with
They should have earned this with everybody. He's earned the
right to just have your trust. Just sit back, shut up,
enjoy draft night, Come on down to buddies, have a
nice cold beer, some good pizza with us, and let
Brad cook and then evaluate it. In two to three years.
(37:50):
We can have the conversation. But if he trades up,
it's gonna be the right thing. If he trades down,
it's gonna be the right thing. If he takes a quarterback.
And I'm a Jared Goff guy, know what I'm gonna say,
Brad Holmes is smarter than me. He knows what the
hell he's doing. If he takes a wide receiver. I'm
not gonna be like, oh my god, they're trading Jamo.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
It gonna be like, Brad Holmes knows what he's doing,
He's smarter than me.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
They take an offensive line, and I'm not gonna say,
oh my god, Taylor Decker's career is over. I'm gonna say,
you know what, Brad Holmes knows what he's doing and
he's smarter than me.
Speaker 5 (38:21):
Answer before you keep going here. Albert Breer, uh, big
NFL guy insider says he's heard, and we've said this before,
but now Albert Bereer puts it out today. He's heard
the Lions are open to trading Jamison Williams in this draft.
I just wanted to put it out there to you. Now.
(38:42):
You may have the floor.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
Where did he hear?
Speaker 7 (38:44):
That came from Albert Bear don't climb it.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
If you don't put names to the sources. I don't
credit this.
Speaker 15 (38:50):
Well.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
You know what I heard Mass.
Speaker 5 (38:52):
Nobody does. Man what I heard Mass?
Speaker 2 (38:53):
You know what I heard about you.
Speaker 5 (38:54):
I'm afraid I can make up anything I know. I'm
just telling you what he said a little while ago.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
At some point detroit lyon fans have to get on
the same.
Speaker 5 (39:08):
Page with this franchise.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
Franchise is not being run like it has been our
entire lives. This guy, every draft has done things that
has made Lions fans scratch their heads, get upset, and
then in hindsight that two to three year later, you
know review, we're all super duper happy. I've talked many,
(39:32):
many times about how I believe these guys have a list,
and it might be eighteen people, it might be twenty
two people, but it doesn't matter where those guys fall.
They are absolutely getting one guy each and every year
off of that list, whether they trade up or whether
they trade back, or whether they trade twice, because a
couple of one of those guys is still sitting there
(39:54):
in the second round.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
But James Pearce.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
Is not coming here, Okay, Mike is not getting drafted
by this team, Tamar Stewart. They have no interest in
these guys. Guys with no college production and problems personally,
some you know, some litigation in their future. These guys
aren't coming here, right And the absolute just obsession with
(40:18):
training for an edge, with drafting an edge, with signing
an edge. These guys don't go out and fill holes.
They go out and draft the best players. They find
the best players, and at some point the fans in
Detroit have to pick up on that.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
It amazes me that this regime, this team and.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Every player on it hasn't earned everybody's trust by now,
Like you go fifteen and two, you have the number
one offense in the league the year before you go
to the NFC Championship game, all built upon a guy
that took over a team that was doing nothing with
Matt Patricia at the helm. And it's happened in four
years and there's still people that think they know better
than Brad Holmes. What he's done is nothing short of
(41:02):
a miracle here in Detroit, big time. And until they
show regression, And I guess if you want to argue
they didn't win a playoff game this year as regression,
you could, But I could argue fifteen and two was
progression during the regular season, gaining a first round by
which should count as a playoff win if we want
to be technical about it, because they got past the
(41:24):
first round, we can get on the technicality of it.
But they have never shown that they're taking a step back.
They've never shown that the product that they draft they
can't coach up to be better. And I'm talking through
Derek Barnes, you know, through A Kirby, through Jack Campbell,
year to year, through hell they're free agent with Alex Azeloni.
It's not only about the player they are drafting on Thursday,
(41:47):
it's about what they can mold him to be.
Speaker 5 (41:51):
Absolutely, I said it last week and I'll bring it
up again, Stick and you're new in the room. As
much as I want them to go out and get
Trey Hendrickson and Miles Garrett, Max Crosby, I know, deep
in my heart, I know I'm not a dummy. They
can't do it. They can't do it because they have
seven or eight guys here that they have to pay.
(42:14):
Let's start you off eight and Hutchinson one, Jamier Gibbs two,
Jamison williams Is three, Kirby Joseph four, Brian Branch five.
Then you got Jack Campbell six, Sam Laporta seven, and
I'm missing one other guy. There is another guy that
they've drafted. Leam No. At least seven players. Out of
(42:37):
those seven players, they probably can't keep them all. That's why,
in my back of my head, I believe one of
them is gonna get dealt If not now, then the following. Yet,
that's where the Jamison Williams comes in. And they had
Matthew Golden in here last week, the Texas wide receiver
in for a visit. Is it a smoke screen? Who knows?
(43:00):
Who knows? He's not gonna be there at twenty eight.
But remember what happened a few years ago when they
went from thirty two to twelve to get that receiver
that they love.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
He'straight up to twelve twice, right, so.
Speaker 5 (43:12):
You can't You don't know what this guy is gonna do.
And I'm gonna introduce and Pepe. We're gonna play the
NFL Network here Stacy Dale's you got a buddy, You
got it to Stacey Dale's on NFL Network just a
couple of days ago, talking about how she would love
to be in that Lion's war room.
Speaker 16 (43:29):
I love mikel By the way. I love that guy.
I want to sit in the draft room with the
Detroit Lions. I don't care if they pick late all
the time, because they're good. They are fascinating. Brad Holmes
is the wild card, right. You just don't know what
you're getting with him. He spoke today, he is so
unpredictable in the draft, and I wanted to put together
(43:49):
the whiteboard because I just you got to get creative
a week out from the draft, and so I put
together the whiteboard just to show you what he's done
and remind you what he's done.
Speaker 13 (43:58):
In the first.
Speaker 16 (43:59):
Round of the NFL Draft in his era, right in
twenty one, they're sitting at seven, He's like, I gotta
have Pine Sewel. So he goes and gets him right away.
I mean that was his first year, right, so you
got to get the best player available right there, and
that's what he does. He hates it if you ask him,
are you going to draft this position of need? Like,
that's not his style, but he falls in love with players.
In twenty twenty two, right eight, Hunches is sitting there
(44:22):
at number two. Take him right but instead of using
the thirty second pick, so they were going to have
to wait all the way to the end of the
first round. They love Jamison Williams, the wide receiver, despite
that injury coming into the pros. They moved all the
way up to twelve and did some nifty trade work
to get him at number twelve. That was massive and
(44:44):
they targeted him. Brad Holmes said that today they wanted
him so badly they moved up that much in twenty
twenty three. Here's where it gets interesting. They're sitting there
at number six, right, we've seen him take Sewell, we've
seen him take Hutch and now they moved down instead
of using the six pick overall, they move down and
get Gibbie and then at eighteen they stay right there.
They get Jack Campbell, the linebacker. And then in twenty
(45:06):
twenty four another twenty ninth later pick, and they love
Terry on Arnold. Brad Holms said today, we had an
affinity for him. We saw him play as a starter
last year in his rookie campaign. He's going to be
a hell of a player. They move up to twenty
four to get him. What is my point? What are
they going to do at twenty eighth overall in this
draft they've got seven picks. They could do anything. And
(45:28):
I want to sit in that draft room with the
Detroit Lions because Brad Holmes, it starts with him and
he's a master at it.
Speaker 5 (45:33):
That is Stacy Dale's NFL network, and she is a
closeted Lions fan. Let me tell you, man, what's her name?
Stacy Davis? Oh yeay, Dan yeah easy and stays Former
All American basketball player, very good athlete, used to be
married to Dan Shulman. Was a great and sing again.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
So let's stay focused fast, let's stay focused.
Speaker 6 (46:00):
She said.
Speaker 2 (46:00):
She said words too, she did.
Speaker 5 (46:03):
I love that was part of the charm.
Speaker 6 (46:05):
I love.
Speaker 5 (46:07):
That loves the Lions. She's one of my faves man.
Anyone that loves our lions automatically goes to the top
of the list for me. She knows her stuff. The
national audience, they know what this Lion teams about. They
know what Brad Holmes is about. The former Enterprise car guy.
That's right, while he was sending out rental cars, he
was dreaming about getting the NFL player ready, and he
(46:29):
was with the Rams behind less sneed. He comes here.
This is his super Bowl, It's the draft, and I
can't wait to see what he's gonna do. I don't
think they pick a twenty eight. I think they move
up and get their guy. Who it is. I don't
know yet.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
Check the RA scores. That's like, do we have the
RAMS scores yet?
Speaker 5 (46:47):
Do we have the full list of the there's some,
there's some. I don't know about the full list, Okay,
there is something.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
Because I mean that's kind of what people are saying
is the dirty little secret for Brad Holmes how he drafts.
Because you saw Vaki last year off the chart with
his RADS score, so like that's kind of the metric
that he's using more than anything else. I don't know
if that specifically cracks the Brad Holmes code, but look
towards that radscore if you want to see who's the
(47:12):
best available at those positions.
Speaker 4 (47:14):
But also look at college production. That's not something that
they shy away from at all. And Shamar Stewart is
a raz star who had four and a half sacks
in his entire career, right, he had eleven and a
half pressures in his entire career over three years. So
to me, that's not a guy that's gonna happen. I mean,
(47:35):
if Kenneth Grant is there at twenty eight, I think
that his college production and his personality, he's going to
fit right in with this Lion's culture. And that's a
Spartan saying I want a Wolverine. But I agree with
you guys, I don't think we're picking at twenty eight.
I see them moving up into the high twenties. I
think Derek Harmon is the guy that they want. I
(47:57):
think Derek Harmon is the guy that they want, and
that's the guy that they'd be willing to move a
guy like Hendon Hooker or some later picks or a
combination to try and get to that.
Speaker 5 (48:09):
Tell me about him.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
Oh, the ability that he has to put pressure on
the quarterback is unmatched of anybody else coming out in
this draft.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
Like both, he does both.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
I mean he killed it at Oregon. He's this huge,
strong dude. Could operate the middle, You could move him
to defensive end. He's a great compliment piece. That's I've
said it for months now.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
We can check tape here at Woodward Sports.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
That's my guy I would go. I would even trade up,
uh maybe like five picks for him. I don't know
if he's going to be there at twenty eight, but
if the Detroit Lions land him, I think that's such
a steal of a draft pick for us, and it
completes that defensive line in a way that every critique
of Brad Holmes and what he does and doesn't do
would be fulfilled and everybody could live happy with the
(48:57):
first round pick.
Speaker 5 (48:58):
Hey Field, Yates and Kuyper have him twenty one to Pittsburgh.
See that's not far, I said, I move up like
five picks so far. Well, and we talked about that.
I threw it out there.
Speaker 4 (49:08):
I'm gonna I'm gonna add a little bit to make
it a little more realistic for the Steelers.
Speaker 5 (49:12):
To accept it.
Speaker 4 (49:13):
Fourth round pick, first round pick, and Hendon Hooker to move.
Speaker 5 (49:18):
I dono I got Mason Rudolph. They're gonna get Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (49:21):
They love to have a guy that they could possibly
play for the future. Maybe, But to me, they get
a young quarterback who's not that young. We know, But
you get a fourth rounder and you move back just
seven picks at twenty eight.
Speaker 5 (49:34):
I think that maybe it's not that deal.
Speaker 4 (49:37):
But Derek Harmon, to me, that's that guy that ends
up on their eighteen best player list, And if he's
within striking distance, you're gonna see Bradon Cook.
Speaker 3 (49:48):
God, honestly, you will see the biggest smile on Draft
Night live from Buddies Downtown like that. If we land
Derek car Like, to me, there's nobody else that I
would rather go after, but that's just me. But also,
once again, people just because I want him, if Brad
doesn't take him or passes on him, I'm gonna be like, huh,
(50:09):
Brad Holmes is smarter than me, and Brad Holmes knows
more than me, so I'm okay with.
Speaker 4 (50:13):
It, So you won't react like everyone reacted when we
took jam Gibbs instead of Jalen Carter.
Speaker 3 (50:18):
That's that's one of my favorite videos of all time,
me and Anson. It was at Fifth Avenue in Royal
oak they draft Jamir Gibbs. Everyone's and the only one
yelling is me and Anson.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
Yes, yes, we loved him coming out.
Speaker 3 (50:33):
Of college, like we talked about him for months in advance.
And you can even go back on Woodward sports dot com.
Speaker 5 (50:39):
I wrote an article which one of you get team
neither your best friend Jonahs the Jonah.
Speaker 3 (50:47):
So yeah, whoever whoever Brad Holmes decides to take, I'm
I'm fully behind it.
Speaker 2 (50:52):
But you know, I think we all have our favorite and.
Speaker 4 (50:55):
At what point, at what draft does the rest of
Line's nation get on board with that?
Speaker 5 (51:01):
Because these guys.
Speaker 4 (51:02):
Have done nothing but hit and hit they win games
with twenty nine guys.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
Right, but but there's still questioned, like like Ryan Lentz
in the back. You know he hates Jared Goff, and
I have to ask him, like what more does the
guy have to do? That's what I don't get for
haters of anybody on this team, Like, take I love
Jared Goff, let's take it.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
What else does he have to? Like? What else does
anybody on this team have to do?
Speaker 3 (51:31):
Not throw three in or seven so like he did
the first year when people were dropping balls in the
NFC Championship.
Speaker 2 (51:37):
No, no, but this is my frustration with people like
you man your ilk Oh really yeah?
Speaker 5 (51:43):
You all right, I'm gonna set the scene for you.
You could only have one of these, Okay, the Lions
move up to twenty one. It's probably about ten o'clock
at night. The Pistons and Knicks are coming down. In
a final minute of the game, it's tied. You have
(52:04):
a choice. You can only have one. You want to
watch the Lion's draft pick? Where you want to watch
the last minute of that Pistons game?
Speaker 4 (52:12):
Do you need to watch a draft pick live for
him to play on.
Speaker 5 (52:15):
Your I mean asking stick because twenty one he moved
up and Derek Harmon's out there. He's watching the Pistons game.
Speaker 4 (52:25):
Mass I'm gonna tell you right now because he knows
he can.
Speaker 5 (52:27):
Just the last minute could last like ten minutes.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
He doesn't see you too sure about that pick. You
gave me a lot of crap last week for saying
I'd picked the draft over a playoff. He will not.
Speaker 5 (52:44):
No, No, that's game that's Game three, one one. He
sent you a boy to watch the piss and you
staying and watch the draft because guess why I'm watching
the draft with you.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
The good news is it's twenty twenty five and Buddies
Downtown is gonna have like my I'll be able to
watch both.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
But in theory, like if I had to pick a
room each one of those, the draft.
Speaker 5 (53:15):
Is more important than me than I'm telling you a
playoff game I'm at I'm gonna be a series.
Speaker 2 (53:20):
If it was a one, and if it was game seven,
all day, that's different, right, all day, easy decision, no problem.
Speaker 6 (53:26):
But this is April.
Speaker 5 (53:29):
They don't play till September to our super Bowl. No
it's not the super Bowl. Is our super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (53:35):
No?
Speaker 5 (53:36):
No, it's our super Bowl. It's still crazy. We haven't
made it yet. That's still just hold your phone right there.
Speaker 4 (53:41):
Why you're watching?
Speaker 6 (53:43):
No, you can't. You gotta go in a room.
Speaker 2 (53:45):
Like the whole thing is. You're in a locked case.
Speaker 5 (53:48):
You have no phone, no accident to the other one.
Speaker 2 (53:50):
Ye, that's it.
Speaker 5 (53:51):
You gotta no room.
Speaker 4 (53:52):
Pick a room, man, pick a watch part and I
will wait till after the game.
Speaker 5 (53:58):
Pick I'm telling you, man, what are you doing? I'm wanting.
I'm gonna be at the Pistons game, but I'm definitely
the entire game. I got the phone.
Speaker 4 (54:09):
A lifelong Knicks fan cheering for the Pistons, Well, yeah,
I appreciate that.
Speaker 5 (54:14):
Come on, man, that that that ship has sailed, that
ship has sailed. I'm rooting. When everyone asks me, man,
who you are rooting for him, it's New York versus Detroit. Listen,
there's one answer only, and it's Detroit Ers over the
Yankees and Mets. A roof of the Pistols over the
Knicks and Nets, a roof of the Lions over the
(54:34):
Giants and Jets, and our roof of the Red Wings
over the Islanders and Rangers and the Devils, well, maybe
not the devils. That's it. That's where I ended.
Speaker 2 (54:42):
What year did that happen? Describe my fantom for Detroit team?
Speaker 5 (54:46):
I know you do. When I moved here and I
started following the teams, but not like the first year
you moved. Took some time. It took a while, but
I'd say maybe maybe five years in I love you
for that, po five years in love you for that. Yeah.
I love my tigers, man, and I love my allions.
Speaker 3 (55:05):
People are saying I'm whacking the chat for choosing the drafts,
and this is what I told Neil. You know, listen,
Thursday night, we're doing to a simulcasts. We're doing a
draft watch party. We're doing a Pistons watch party. Which
one you think is gonna have more viewers.
Speaker 5 (55:20):
Draft NFL is king Draft by fall NFL.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
And it has nothing. It's nothing personally rights. It's strictly
business business. Baby, No one I want you homeing like
this business.
Speaker 5 (55:34):
I'm offended to.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
Are you offending half of the chat and behalf of
Detroit Sports. We haven't won a playoff game in eighteen years.
And if we're in New York, well, actually it's a Thursday,
it's a one to one game. There's less than a
minute left and it's a one point game, and you
can't wait to read who the guy was drafted versus C.
(56:00):
Goodell say it, I don't get it.
Speaker 2 (56:03):
I actually are born to me.
Speaker 5 (56:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 13 (56:06):
I always lion.
Speaker 7 (56:09):
That's the only reason, because I always fall.
Speaker 8 (56:10):
Asleep during well not anymore, what sports man, I'm still
gonna fall asleep.
Speaker 7 (56:16):
Absolutely nothing, DNA.
Speaker 2 (56:18):
I just can't sit there and wait for decisions. It's
a seven game series, guy, there's gonna be another game
action two days afterwards. What if you leave there's not
another first round of the draft the next day.
Speaker 4 (56:33):
What if you leave the Pistons game waiting for them
to make their pick. Goodell goes up, there, we have
a trade. And now you just missed the end of
this game.
Speaker 5 (56:46):
You missed what I said. The Lions have traded up.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
Yeah, they'locks on the board.
Speaker 4 (56:53):
You're right there, man, I said that history. Hey, I'm
not leaving. I'm not leaving my Pistons. Bro, it's not happening.
I'll read it in the funny papers.
Speaker 5 (57:04):
Hey tell everybody. While we got to the papers were
talking man language.
Speaker 2 (57:09):

Speaker 13 (57:11):

against there? The year and tied j oh We got that,
We got that in the bag. Malik Beasley's definitely winning
(01:05:04):
that one. JB. Bickerstaff might have a hard time beat
now Kenny Atkinson of the Cleveland Cavaliers for Coach of
the Year. But three of our guys in the mix
for an NBA award. The only one they really want
is beat the Knicks and move on to the second round.
That's what they want.
Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
Yeah, but as a city that's been stuffed snuffed on
Coach of the Year with Dan Campbell the past two years,
it'd be nice to see JB.
Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
Bickerstaff get some love. I mean, what more do you
have to do than do something that's never been done
in NBA history triple your win total from year to year? Yep,
Like what else do you need to put on a resume?
Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Besides, I took over this team and they won three
times to the amount of games. So much though that
our star player is also up for an award and
I got.
Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
A sixth man because of the way I play him. JB.
Bickerstaff should run away with Coach of the Year runaway.
Speaker 7 (01:05:52):
I agree agree.
Speaker 4 (01:05:53):
Dan Campbell was not rewarded for what he did with
the Lion's High and he should have been maybe even twice.
And there is absolutely no one anywhere nearest deserving of
the Coach of the Year award as JB.
Speaker 5 (01:06:08):
But let me give you a spoiler right now, he's
not gonna win it.
Speaker 4 (01:06:12):
I mean, it's highway robbery, but that's that's kind of
the way that they look at the true We've never
been a team that really wins award unless your name
is Dennis Rodman and.
Speaker 5 (01:06:22):
Ben Wallas d Eagle three to one threes on the board. Well,
I said, he's gonna get thirty five tonight. I agree.
I agree. It might not get thirty five, but he's
gonna get more than twenty five tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
That I really believe he needs to be the best
player on the court, period. End of story.
Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
Agree, Like there there is no debate. If you're the man,
be the man. kJ Holliday rest in peace. Like that
was one of the greatest quotes I was ever told
in my life. Ricky can attest to it. I was
doing the promotions department for Mix ninety two point three
put on a big concert going on at the Fisher
like that park right across from the Fissure, right at
(01:07:01):
the Auditorium park, no off Grand River.
Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
It's called that's the Fisher Theater, it's official theater. But
across from it there's a little Amphitheater. But either way,
we're doing a Mixed ninety two point three event. Booked,
all the talent booked, all the hotel rooms, got the
limo rides set for all this.
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
We're standing there about seven o'clock. I'm looking at kJ.
kJ is looking at me. I'm like, who's gonna Yeah,
Kj's the PD of Mix ninety two point three. I'm like,
who's gonna start the concert? And he just looks at me.
He's like, I thought you were there? What He's like,
you plan this, didn't you?
Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
I was like yeah. He's like, well, if you're the man,
go be the.
Speaker 3 (01:07:35):
Man's and honestly, like something snapped in my brain like
holy hell, yeah simple, but it makes so much like
if you're gonna talk, if you're gonna do everything, if you're.
Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
Gonna claim to be the man, you gotta go be
the man.
Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
And tonight Kate Cunningham has to be v man on
the court to take care of everything, and maybe he'll
get his most improval Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:07:58):
Yeah, I mean that the whole game has to go
through his control.
Speaker 4 (01:08:03):
What I liked in the first half with him, even
though he wasn't playing that well, was how well he
involved everybody else. And we've seen that from guys like
Kobe and Jordan in the past, and I'm putting in
some serious company right now.
Speaker 5 (01:08:14):
But in playoff games, those guys in the first half.
Speaker 4 (01:08:17):
They didn't come out and try and take the game over, right.
They tried to get their teammates involved and get the
flow going when they needed him in that third quarter, which,
to be honest with you, I was most worried about
how this young team would respond after playing so well
through one half, if they could come out and bring
that energy in the third. I was not only impressed,
but I was a little shocked at how well they
(01:08:38):
played in that third quarter. When it comes out to
that fourth quarter, I don't need thirty five points out
of Kate. I need control, I need tempo, and I
need confidence. And he was just forcing the issue and
he didn't understand how to respond to the change in
defense that they brought. They brought a whole different scheme
(01:08:58):
in that fourth quarter. He's gonna have to identify that,
and whether it's thirty five points or picking up the
rest of his team, he has to be the best
player on the floor tonight, and he was not on Saturday.
Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
So what what do you think is his minimal points
scored for them to get a win, like twenty seven
point twenty seven?
Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
Is your base got to score twenty five or more?
I think twenty seven high twenties. But hey, let's let's
see him affect the game from the rebounding side more.
He had twelve assists. That was mostly in the first half.
He was setting guys up.
Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
He was a triple doubles guy this year. Double doubles
for sure. I need to see more rebounds out of him.
Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
We need to see a large rebound advantage, at least
five or six, maybe even a double digit.
Speaker 5 (01:09:39):
I think it was I think we were even last game.
Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
Mess what's your what's your point basement?
Speaker 5 (01:09:44):
I said he's gonna be twenty five or more. But
I also believe there's other guys that that got to
step up. But I think JD. I love Jalen Duran.
I need to see him in the game more. I
see you know, JB takes him out a lot. I'd
like to give him more time on the court. And
I love what Dennis Shrewder brought uh in the in
the second half as well. I'd give Dennis Shrewder. Hey,
(01:10:06):
if K's not on his a game, get Shrewder in
their playoff experience. He can hit the three, especially if
he's open, and he plays great defense. He I'm so
happy that they traded for him at the deadline. He
was a great acquisition for that. Agree.
Speaker 2 (01:10:22):
He's been serviceable, that's for sure.
Speaker 5 (01:10:24):
Great.
Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
I think it's a stretch, but he's been serviceable.
Speaker 5 (01:10:27):
He's a playoff guy instead.
Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
He's got some experience in the playoffs and in obviously
the Olympic Games too with Germany when they beat the
hell out of Team USA.
Speaker 5 (01:10:36):
Was that like the blonde hair again?
Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
Backup dancer died.
Speaker 5 (01:10:43):
Hey, I want to ask answer to this because I
think he watched more basketball than you did this weekend.
What game? What teams surprised you the most? Dates with
doctor Corey's.
Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
Insult both of us.
Speaker 5 (01:11:08):
Life, I got experience, I missed him, got a couple.
Speaker 7 (01:11:18):
Of minutes and insulted within like thirty seconds. Well done.
Speaker 15 (01:11:23):
For me.
Speaker 4 (01:11:24):
Honestly, it was it was the Timberwolves. Yeah, you know,
I felt that. I've told you guys, I thought that
that trade they were going to be exposed the moment
they switched over to playoff basketball, because you can be
all finesse in all offense during the regular season and
get away with it, especially when you have two of
the best offensive players we've seen in the last twenty years.
But you have a madador out in front in Luca,
(01:11:47):
and I mean the guys trying to guard ant.
Speaker 5 (01:11:50):
Man, are you kidding me?
Speaker 4 (01:11:52):
I expected the refs to keep that game so much closer,
but the Timberwolves didn't even allow that to happen. The
Timberwolves are a hell of a defensive team. I mean,
they are so good defensively, and if they can hit shots.
I don't know how the NBA will allow it for
the Lakers and the Knicks to not be in the
(01:12:12):
second round. But those are the two matchups that that
we could really see upsets in. I want, oh my god,
I know you do.
Speaker 5 (01:12:19):
I want the t Wolves to win more than I
want the Pistons to win. Of course you do, just
to get rid of you know who, Luca?
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
No, why do you hate Luca? I don't need foreign people, man.
Speaker 4 (01:12:31):
I thought the Magic we're going to play the Celtic
subject matter America.
Speaker 5 (01:12:38):
I did dance.
Speaker 4 (01:12:39):
I was surprised that that the Grizzlies, after playing through
the playing tournament days, lost by fifty one.
Speaker 5 (01:12:50):
But I'm so happy they got they got faced again.
Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
That's where you can call John Morant out.
Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
Oh yeah, Like you can't say you're a superstar, and
you can't say you're one of the best in the
league when your team loses by fifty.
Speaker 4 (01:13:02):
One and then watching him joke around on the sideline
at the end of the game and he's getting just
rolled over it. I don't get it for me that,
you know, I think that the Warriors can get past
the Rockets.
Speaker 5 (01:13:15):
I mean, it's crapping all over me. Again. That should
be reversed.
Speaker 4 (01:13:19):
They should be the seventh seed and the Warriors should
be the two seed. Not that the Warriors are that good,
but the Rocket reminds me so much of this series
with the Pistons. You've got a Rockets team that's ready
to be the team of now, but they're certainly the
team of the future. Yes, but the you know, the
savvy of that Warriors team, they could certainly get by them,
(01:13:40):
even as the seventh seed.
Speaker 5 (01:13:41):
I mean they beat him pretty good in Houston. Oh yeah,
beat him good Boston, no problem that they beat Okay,
see just laughed and over the grizz As we talked
about Calves beat the Heat, Cavaliers should have no problems
in that game. These are the playing guy playing teams.
(01:14:02):
They should not win. A couple of games at max
max against these against the number one and number two teams.
So tonight you got one game on the docket. It's
the Nuggets in overtime. They beat the Clippers.
Speaker 6 (01:14:15):
The other day.
Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
They played the Clips again.
Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
One game on. There's a Pistons game tonight.
Speaker 5 (01:14:20):
Well besides our Pistol game. Okay, sorry, I thought we
already established that the Pistons will play tonight. We got
one game on the docks.
Speaker 13 (01:14:27):
One game.
Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
One game.
Speaker 5 (01:14:33):
By the way, Cooper Flagg has declared for the NBA
draw up team. Cooper flag is coming out failed in college,
sixty five million dollar contract. He's gonna walk into. Which
team is going to get him? That's the question.
Speaker 4 (01:14:49):
It's already written down in stone.
Speaker 5 (01:14:52):
And he is a member of the Twin Towers.
Speaker 4 (01:14:55):
No no, no, no, no, no, no no, put money
on it. Put money on it, no way, no way
in hell. Oh yeah, who's in the lottery doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (01:15:09):
I want to know the Spurs are I don't don't
they have two lottery shots. That's all it takes.
Speaker 4 (01:15:15):
When you got Adam Silver pulling ping pong balls, you.
Speaker 5 (01:15:19):
You got the wizard.
Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
You don't even do a ping pong ball anymore. In
the public.
Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
You just give you on.
Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
Anson's a major conspiracy theory is I got it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:29):
So with that being said, Anson, the dunk that they
called back in this last game for the Pistons, do
you think that.
Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
Has something to do aslutely? What were you when that
play happened?
Speaker 4 (01:15:41):
Oh, I mean I had to walk off camera like
three times.
Speaker 5 (01:15:44):
I was so upset.
Speaker 4 (01:15:45):
We at first we thought that we had a dunk
and a foul, right, and.
Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
We just put that was the watch party. Were they
going nuts?
Speaker 6 (01:15:53):
Well, we were so.
Speaker 4 (01:15:54):
Hype, and then we were so pissed because it's like,
well a, we had the volume down because copyright, but
we couldn't get the explanation.
Speaker 5 (01:16:02):
We had to look it up online later on to
figure out what the hell happened.
Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
We talked about it earlier on the show.
Speaker 5 (01:16:07):
I mean, it's just one of the most rare situations ever.
Speaker 4 (01:16:12):
I'm pretty sure that it's not reviewable because of the
way that it happened.
Speaker 5 (01:16:16):
There's not a foul called, there's not an out of bounds,
and really.
Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
The ball going through the hoop not be reviewable. But
at the very basic it wasn't hanging on the rim.
Speaker 5 (01:16:32):
I've never seen it a ball goal that's seen it
that much in the net come out, but the guy
got tackled.
Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
I remember it happened ten years ago. Someone dunked and
it went off the top of their head back through
the hoop, and they said it didn't because it's got
to go all the way through the thin I saw that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
That was a long time ago.
Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
But yeah, for it to happen to the Pistons in
a playoff game when they like at all times, it
was just almost a perfect storm when.
Speaker 4 (01:16:57):
That I thought it was just the cylinder has to
clear the cylinder.
Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
No, it's got to go through the netting.
Speaker 5 (01:17:04):
Interesting.
Speaker 12 (01:17:04):
Why why Detroit teams like, you know, susceptible, like against
the forty nine ers, balls off the head?
Speaker 7 (01:17:09):
What's going on here?
Speaker 6 (01:17:10):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
That's that's once again, that's part of what these young
NBA fans need to learn.
Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
Watching these games, like anything is possible.
Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
I mean, if you go back to the Pacers and
the Tayshawn Prince block, and if you take a still
of when that picture started.
Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
Beautiful block, there's no way this is like.
Speaker 3 (01:17:29):
Weird things happen in the playoffs, and that's why you
cannot let up for the slightest second in the NBA
or next thing, you know, a twenty one oh run,
you're leading in the Boston in the in the in the.
Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
Garden, does it?
Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
Yeah, Madisons Masters War Garden. Sorry I was think of
Boston Guard. But you're leading in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
Next thing you know, you're down my thirteen. It's crazy.
Speaker 5 (01:17:49):
Hey Ac says, Hey Anson. Do you think the NBA
uses magnets in the rims Ac is on the on
the wheel by I'm pretty sure they use those down
in ann Arbor.
Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
Well, they're gonna be using them this year with Trey
McKenny shooting that thing.
Speaker 4 (01:18:05):
They've had a very nice offseason. I mean, losing Danny Wolf,
one of my.
Speaker 12 (01:18:11):
I don't want to say it, but favorite players in
college of basketball.
Speaker 5 (01:18:15):
They're losing him.
Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
But what they did in the transfer portal pretty pretty impressive. No,
I look at that that game and listen. I mean,
the NBA has interest in seeing the two biggest market
teams in the league advance.
Speaker 5 (01:18:29):
Out of the first round.
Speaker 4 (01:18:30):
And you know, I think that if that twenty one
to nothing run happens in the third quarter, that's a
winnable game. Still yeah, for the time cover absolutely, But
the way that it goes down. It's so important for
these guys to learn about playoff momentum. It doesn't just
carry a team, it carries the officials too. Officials get
(01:18:53):
caught up in momentum, and when the crowd's going and
the other team seems to have a little bit more energy,
those zebras are just a little more liable to whistle
in their favor.
Speaker 5 (01:19:03):
So I am a conspiracy theorist.
Speaker 6 (01:19:05):
I need.
Speaker 5 (01:19:06):
I've looked at that damn.
Speaker 4 (01:19:07):
Play so many times, and you think that I'm still
gonna look at the rules to find out about that
net rule because I thought it was a cylinder. But
on the fly, with the way that that that thing happened,
I just don't know how you make that call.
Speaker 5 (01:19:20):
How they upload a whistle on that play, blow to whistle,
it's either a foul or something.
Speaker 4 (01:19:28):
There was some sort of content Detroit, something to file
in Detroit, not in Game one in the fourth quarter
when the home team, which happens to be the New
York Knicks, is down, so hopefully we I thought it
was a pretty balanced whistle if you look at the
numbers free throws and actual fouls and everything. But I
gotta say this o Giannaobi had eight fouls in that game.
Speaker 5 (01:19:49):
That's for sure. He was hanging all.
Speaker 3 (01:19:53):
But that's a guy who I don't know if the
Pistons truly factored in, especially when Bee Stu went down,
because he did what he play in two of the
four games they played in this didn't play the last one. Well,
the last one, you can't even count that, like it
was what two games before the end of the regular season,
just kind of a throwaway.
Speaker 5 (01:20:08):
Well, but neither of neither team had their spot.
Speaker 4 (01:20:11):
They could New York could have lost the three seed,
but they played without Josh Hart and they played without Og.
I've been saying it for a week. I think that
Og is the absolute X factor off of this series. Yes,
you get a nice game from Kim Paigne, you might
get another nice game from McBride off the bench, but
I think that it all comes down to that third
(01:20:32):
option for the Knicks. Cat's gonna get his, and of
course Brunny's gonna get his as well. But if OG's
playing the way that he did in Game one, could
be a very tough series for these Detroit Pistols.
Speaker 2 (01:20:43):
What I tell you last week that everybody was kind
of taking the Knicks lightly, didn't I say, like the
whole narrative was, Oh, they took care of him during
the regular Oh, this is the best matchup the Pistons
could have gotten. No, it's not.
Speaker 4 (01:20:54):
I do think it's really now. I think personnel wise,
it's the best matchup. I don't think that we are
emotionally or personnel ready for the Pacers. We don't match
up well with the Bucks. We just can't stop the honest. Now,
maybe without Dame it'd be a little bit of a
different story, but to me, that was the matchup. I
(01:21:15):
love the way that this matchup looked in Game one,
and I think that this matchup will suit the Pistons
through the rest of the series. It is just a
matter of whether they can play above their age and
JB can make the adjustments on the fly in order
to beat this experience next team.
Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
I trust you, JB. Bickerstaff. You've turned this team around
in one season. You can turn it around in the
playoffs in one game. He knows what the hell he's doing, just.

Speaker 5 (01:25:28):
All right, fellas, let's start you off in the city
of Chicogo, the Second City as they call it. The
Cubs were playing yesterday. Guess who threw out the first pitts?
Speaker 7 (01:25:39):
Copyright brother, sorry man, copyright on that one. Really Yeah,
I couldn't play because it was from the broadcast.
Speaker 4 (01:25:44):
My friend, if we're on it, why are we still
talking about this trader?
Speaker 5 (01:25:49):
All right? Benedict what's his name? Josh Sma Ben Johnson,
Ben Johnson throughout the first Pets. Actually he came side arm.
It was a pretty good delivery, pretty good delivery, much
better than ket to my aida.
Speaker 13 (01:26:02):
I am my head.
Speaker 5 (01:26:03):
Anyway, I was gonna make fun of his throat. I'm sorry,
since his copyright and we can't show it to you.
So enough of Ben Johnson out.
Speaker 2 (01:26:15):
Mas is the producer.
Speaker 7 (01:26:16):
Just close your eyes and imagine that's.
Speaker 2 (01:26:21):
Why can't you Why don't you act it out for us?
Speaker 15 (01:26:24):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
I'm good, No, I want to say what was?
Speaker 6 (01:26:25):
How did?
Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
What was the throwing motion?
Speaker 5 (01:26:27):
The throwing emotion was?
Speaker 13 (01:26:32):
That was great?
Speaker 1 (01:26:33):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
Put that in the intro.
Speaker 13 (01:26:35):
Please, there it is.
Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
There it was.
Speaker 5 (01:26:39):
That was Ben Johnson. It's like now the guy he
took with him another Benedict Arnold is huh coach Antoine
randall l who is now the Bears wide receiver coach.
So he went on last week that was a good
thro I just saw myself thirty seconds behind.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
That was not watching yourself, You narcissists watching the show watching,
You're just watching yourself.
Speaker 5 (01:27:02):
I'm watching delivery. I happen to be here. Nonetheless, randall
Ell said he liked Rome with Doonsday the best last
year out of all the wide receivers.
Speaker 15 (01:27:13):
The biggest thing with Rome is like like he has
the height and as tall as he is the length
that he has, he can drop his weight and get
in out of his route.
Speaker 13 (01:27:20):
So that was good to see. And he was one
of my top guys the previous year.
Speaker 15 (01:27:24):
Everybody had Harrison I think first, and then the kid
who neighbors who's at New York. But I had Rome first,
So it's good. And I call his coach, Shep, who
was Washington, can we get him? And then it didn't
work out in Detroit, but I'm glad he's here because
here we go. So yeah, excited about those two guys.
And I'm what do you got to say?
Speaker 5 (01:27:46):
Rayandall lah?
Speaker 2 (01:27:48):
What else is he supposed to say? I didn't want
my guy now? Yeah, you know I didn't believe watching
this guy before I'm coaching it. Yeah, he's gotta suck
up to him, right, all those guys that went to Chicago.
Speaker 5 (01:28:02):
It just kills me to see these guys and bears.
Speaker 3 (01:28:04):
Yeah, they're gonna fall flat on their face Brad Holmes
and Dan Campbell's system. No, I know, I'm right, right,
some guys aren't built to be the leader. They're built
to be the number two. And there's nothing wrong. But
I mean, how many Bill Belichick disciples went and really
took off in the NFL. How many you know, how
many you've seen this story. It's a tale as old
(01:28:26):
as time, and I can't wait for it to happen
to the Chicago Bears again. A bad quarterback, another bad
head coach. They're gonna cancel the offensive coordinator after a year.
One fire, everybody like, this is what the Bears do.
They take careers of quarterbacks and head coaches, even if
they are brilliant head coaches coming in.
Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
So, yeah, have fun with it.
Speaker 7 (01:28:49):
And he got a stupid stadium.
Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
Yeah, it looks like a damn spaceship flew into the.
Speaker 7 (01:28:55):
You gotta walk a mile.
Speaker 5 (01:28:56):
This get is horrible.
Speaker 2 (01:28:57):
Yes, Chicago, Chicago sucks in gen I lived in Chicago.
I don't like Chicago. I don't like the people of Chicago.
They're fake tough guys. They used to be like a
blue collar city. Now they're just to want to be
New York. Think they're classier than they really are, Like
they're Chicago's a horrible place to live.
Speaker 7 (01:29:16):
Horribly horrible, great place to visit.
Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
And I lived. I lived right downtown by Merchant Smart
and right by Harry Carey's and all that stuff. I
was right downtown.
Speaker 5 (01:29:24):
How do we have, like, you know, opposite views of
this Chicago. I think Chicago is wonderful.
Speaker 2 (01:29:30):
Have you ever lived there?
Speaker 5 (01:29:32):
Family there? I go a lot. I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:36):
Chicago is a great place to abuse for the weekend
and then get the hell out. You don't want to
be a part of it for the long haul. And
that's just my view of when I lived there. Like,
I'm a Detroit boy. I like driving my car. I
like parking in front of my house. I like barbecues
in my backyard on real grass. Like, there's a lot
that Chicago can't offer you that you have to go
(01:29:56):
to the suburbs. Yeah, that's not Chicago though, that's Schomberg
and it's all those other places.
Speaker 5 (01:30:01):
But Detroit, you know, there's not a lot of places
that you're going to be cooking out in Detroit.
Speaker 3 (01:30:05):
Oh, there's so many. Detroit is set up completely different
from Chicago. There's no mass transportation, so everybody does drive
a car, and even the parking is better here. The
surrounding area of Detroit, which is closer to the downtown area,
is mostly houses. It's not Cabrini Green Project housing. There
isn't North and South that's separated by a street literally
(01:30:26):
called division. Like, Chicago is the most rast place I've
ever lived to.
Speaker 7 (01:30:32):
What's the underground stuff you get lost in down there?
Speaker 2 (01:30:35):
Yeah, you're driving under the city.
Speaker 4 (01:30:39):
It's not even talk about their city designed outer rim. Also,
it's basically a movement of certain races into a certain area.
Speaker 3 (01:30:50):
It's the most racist city I've ever been to. And
how the concerts is me and you sorry to interrupting, No, no,
I go ahead. How many concerts have me and you've
been to?
Speaker 2 (01:30:58):
Ricky together between jail be Channel nine five mixed ninety
two point three. It's all races, it's everybody, right. I
went to a common concert in this common at where
was it? The House of Blues? I'm just a white
boy at the common concert you go here in Chicago. Literally,
someone came up to me and asked me what I
(01:31:19):
was doing there talking about that's great, that's a liar. Yeah,
it was for a w g C. I he was
getting an award when I was out there working for
one O three five.
Speaker 12 (01:31:31):
Also, don't forget that all the money for them. Also,
don't forget that all the money you pay for parking
goes to India. Abu Dhabi for the next fifty five years.
Speaker 7 (01:31:39):
I'm not kidding.
Speaker 5 (01:31:40):
And let's just face it, they get.
Speaker 7 (01:31:42):
All the parking money.
Speaker 13 (01:31:45):
They sell.
Speaker 4 (01:31:45):
The whole concert is a sub par sports town, and
they think they are God's gift in the nation to
every one of the leagues. And realistically, their baseball teams
have been trashed for.
Speaker 5 (01:32:01):
As long as we can think. We can remember years.
Speaker 4 (01:32:06):
Blackhawks just a touch of success. Bears have had one
two good seasons eight ninety years. You know, I mean, honestly,
if you don't have Michael Jordan, you got nothing. And
they're all delusional and they all don't realize how some
par of a sports.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Thomas Sant Thomas was the son of Chicago, the best
product to ever come out of Chicago for basketball, and.
Speaker 2 (01:32:30):
They shunned him.
Speaker 5 (01:32:31):
But he went to Detroit.
Speaker 2 (01:32:32):
I don't care.
Speaker 3 (01:32:33):
They have no loyalty if a Detroit boy went and
succeeded anywhere. Look at Sauce Gardener and we all repped
Sauce because of what he's doing in New York.
Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
None of us care about the Jets. We root for him.
Jerome Bettis played for the Steelers when he got here.
Speaker 3 (01:32:46):
What was the whole city behind Jerome Bettises exactly, so
like it's it's just a different They're a different breed
out there in Chicago, and they ain't my breed, Like
no doubt.
Speaker 5 (01:32:55):
They closed Arlington Park anyway, so I have no Reds
game once and got into it a little bit of
a scuffle.
Speaker 2 (01:33:03):
In the standlows, but what a weird say.
Speaker 3 (01:33:05):
They section it off like you're only allowed if you
have tickets in the outfield. There's no way to go
walk around the stadium. Like it's all second they made.
Speaker 5 (01:33:13):
They made it. That's a huge error that they made.
But building that stadium right, they're gonna They're trying to move.
It's just a matter of money, obviously.
Speaker 3 (01:33:20):
That's one of my favorite things about Comerica Park is
just yea getting a drink up on the patio, throwing
my arm out at the speed tester, Like, man, you
can't do that in Chicago. Oh no, I have no
idea bradyput opening day. Brady topped out at like seventy
eight really hour?
Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
Yeah wow, he would bring in the wood, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:33:40):
Brady would how about it? Hey, another guy that's looking
for something. It's in Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Loves.
Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
I like Philly.
Speaker 5 (01:33:48):
All right, it's AJ Brown. AJ Brown had his car
stole tick. I need you to put eight years on
for this. This is AJ Brown talk it to the
the City of Brotherly Love, saying listen, give me my
car back and we're good. Check it out, Philly. Come on, man,
you stole my whip last night. Come on, man, I
(01:34:10):
make a deal with you.
Speaker 17 (01:34:11):
Bro to whoever you are, which I'm gonna find out soon,
I'll make a deal with you, Bro.
Speaker 13 (01:34:18):
Just bring the whip back.
Speaker 10 (01:34:18):
Bro.
Speaker 17 (01:34:19):
I won't press charge you, Bro. Just bringing up back, Bro,
and you going about your back. You can go on
about your day. But if I find you, come on, Bro,
it's gonna be. It's gonna be what it's gonna be.
And I'm gonna come in there interegrogation room. A mighty
bout you, my boy, like I'm on that. But bring
(01:34:39):
the whip back, Bro. You small with it though. You
pull it up at three forty two, you walk you
got up out of at three forty five?
Speaker 13 (01:34:46):
You fast on your feet?
Speaker 5 (01:34:47):
Real fair, I'm gonna show you how fast I am
on my feet.
Speaker 17 (01:34:51):
Yeah, real talk like this this is gonna get done today,
Like Bro, So you might pull it back up, bro, drop.
Speaker 2 (01:34:57):
That out, bro.
Speaker 4 (01:34:58):
So what happened when he finds out that it was
Jalen Hurts who arranged his car to be stolen? Revenge
of what happened at the end of twenty twenty three season.
We know you know what I'm talking about, Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
That just reminded me of Juju Smith Schuster when he
got his bike stolen. Right, No, a TikTok video like,
just bring back my bike. But honestly, what is what
the hell's a J Brown doing?
Speaker 7 (01:35:27):
He's talking a lot like he's not.
Speaker 2 (01:35:28):
We don't know you played professional football, right, pull you body.
Speaker 3 (01:35:33):
Like you got about it and if you are, like
if you were real gangster, you wouldn't say a thing,
right You just post a video of you with some
Black Air Forces on and say going to get my
truck back?
Speaker 1 (01:35:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Right, we all know what it meant. No, got it right,
got my truck and.
Speaker 4 (01:35:48):
We got a super chat in from Michael Davrees it
five bucks. It's gonna get you a couple of shots
at these cards here as someone who has relatives in Chicago.
Speaker 5 (01:35:57):
It's even worse than you guys think.
Speaker 4 (01:35:59):
Yeah, now listen, guys, we got some more time for
you to get your super chats in to get an
opportunity to win this stack of cards, the v friend
card mind Brayln Rookie. But listen, we only got seventy
three likes. I need twenty seven of you to hit

Speaker 5 (01:36:15):
I got it.
Speaker 4 (01:36:15):
A little stack of more cards, and I will add
in here.
Speaker 5 (01:36:19):
How much mailing do you want me to do? Well?
They all go in one.
Speaker 7 (01:36:22):
Would you guys like to see updated the wheel?
Speaker 4 (01:36:24):
Smash that like button for us and get those super
chats and you still got a little bit.
Speaker 5 (01:36:29):
More to me?
Speaker 7 (01:36:29):
Would you like to see an update?
Speaker 5 (01:36:30):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (01:36:31):
I gotta let me save the wheel and get it
updated for everybody, and then I'll out up there.
Speaker 4 (01:36:35):
Oh, just to let you know, sixty one percent of
Woodward chat Detroit sports fans, Oh, they'd be watching the
Pistons hanging out with me.
Speaker 5 (01:36:48):
I don't know what kind of math you're doing, but yeah,
that would be uh, thirty nine.
Speaker 2 (01:36:53):
What'd you say, sixty one? Oh, sixty one, then thirty nine.
All right, Yeah, they be hanging out with me. I'm
okay with that. Forty percent of the.
Speaker 4 (01:36:59):
People if they knew that if they knew that they
got to hang out with you would probably be a
higher percentage.
Speaker 5 (01:37:04):
There we go.
Speaker 7 (01:37:05):
Can I show an update up the wheel?
Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
Can win me?
Speaker 11 (01:37:08):
There you go.
Speaker 7 (01:37:08):
Here's what it currently looks So what are we looking at, Pete.
Here's what it currently looks like.
Speaker 6 (01:37:13):
Is this phil?
Speaker 12 (01:37:15):
So this is how it currently stands with our entries
Randos small with two, Phill with a, Michael Weary with one,
d Eagle three one three with two, a C with one,
Michael de frees with two.
Speaker 5 (01:37:27):
Nice. There we go. We're up to eighty twenty more likes. Guys.
Let me put as face on that wheel that's coming up.
Speaker 7 (01:37:33):
I'm working on that right now, way ahead of your
time on that one. I'm already wait stopped.
Speaker 5 (01:37:42):
Another wide receiver in the news, it's CD Lamb who
says he spends one point three million dollars on health
and wellness just for his body and p You can
read that for me because my eyes.
Speaker 12 (01:37:56):
Lamb says he spends one point three million per year
on face baths, red light therapy, hyper bannock chambers and
more for his body and health. Every two weeks is
fifty thousand dollars. There's a there's fifty two weeks in
a year, and there's your number.
Speaker 7 (01:38:14):
I would do the same thing.
Speaker 2 (01:38:16):
How much does he make a year? What's his contract
he got?
Speaker 5 (01:38:19):
Didn't he get paid?
Speaker 7 (01:38:21):
I think he got paid? Yeah, I gotta look it up.
Speaker 2 (01:38:23):
Yeah, I mean, like, what what that of his contract
in himself? Yes, health investment a lot of money.
Speaker 4 (01:38:34):
There's a lot of money, but he's only spent even
more to take care of his body.
Speaker 7 (01:38:38):
I'll get two miss a day.
Speaker 5 (01:38:41):
We should I would for you. Oh yeah, hey, you
know the Washington Commanders playing one of the worst stadiums,
if not the worst stadium in the league at FedEx Field.
It's been years. The old RFK Stadium is still standing.
It's just full of weeds right now. But that place
used to rock. Guess what they have gotten the ok
(01:39:02):
to start spending some money, three billion dollars worth of
money on a new RFK stadium that they're gonna put
up most of the money. So this is a Washington franchise,
are No, They're gonna knock it down and do a
new one at RFK Stadium where it stands. The old
stadium where the Redskins play fat X Field right now
(01:39:22):
is where the Commanders play, So they're gonna leave landover
Maryland where that is, or just outside of DC and
move back into d C.
Speaker 2 (01:39:31):
Proper been to in the NFL was that RFK and
that thing was trash absolute.
Speaker 5 (01:39:38):
But it rocked.
Speaker 1 (01:39:39):
Man.
Speaker 5 (01:39:39):
When you went to that stadium, you literally it felt
you felt it shaky, felt it shaking.
Speaker 2 (01:39:45):
Do you guys think Ford Field needs a redo? Like
needs a rev? Can you believe these stadiums are twenty five? Yes?
Speaker 13 (01:39:52):
Crazy long it is, It.
Speaker 5 (01:39:55):
Still looks, it still looks relatively new. I love the
warehouse feel of it. Only thing, obviously I wish they
had was a retractable dome. That would have been really
really smart because our weather is great, right, our weather
is good into December into December.
Speaker 3 (01:40:11):
You can if you can make one change, one upgrade
at ford Field, we're playing Madden, what's it gonna be.
Speaker 5 (01:40:16):
I would have done a retractable roof.
Speaker 3 (01:40:19):
Like right now, I'm saying, you gotta you gotta add
an upgrade, you go, retractable roof?
Speaker 5 (01:40:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:40:23):
Absolutely, Anson, What are you adding the Ford Field?
Speaker 5 (01:40:27):
They already did the TVs? Well, the TV's need updating too,
So I gotta I got a trivia question.
Speaker 4 (01:40:32):
To answer this question, how many teams have won a
Super Bowl that didn't play in a full time dome?
Speaker 5 (01:40:43):
Zero?
Speaker 2 (01:40:44):
I mean the Patriots.
Speaker 5 (01:40:45):
You gotta go back. There's only two teams Steelers, Chiefs. No, no, no, no,
no no.
Speaker 4 (01:40:50):
I'm saying a team that has won that played in
a full time dome.
Speaker 5 (01:40:57):
And championships. They were one in their own stadium in
the Super Bowl. No one else New Orleans has ever won.
Speaker 4 (01:41:06):
Now, the Colts are kind of the asterisk, but they
have a retractable dome. So for that reason and that
reason alone, I'm going to agree with mister mass Bam.
Speaker 5 (01:41:17):
He was that retractable.
Speaker 12 (01:41:18):
What you added to Ford Field, I'm adding at least
ten thousand to twenty thousand more seats. The problem, it's
about getting the fans in the door. The fan wants
the fans want to see the product.
Speaker 1 (01:41:30):
Man.
Speaker 7 (01:41:30):
You're gonna need to make a bigger stadium. Man, if
you build it, they will come.
Speaker 2 (01:41:33):
That's that's a new problem.
Speaker 5 (01:41:35):
At the Lions. I mean they used to have the
biggest stadium in the lose. That's why they had a
hard time selling it out. Had to come and help us.
Speaker 3 (01:41:46):
You could pull up on a Sunday when they were
blacking out games and got ten dollars tickets totally man.
Speaker 5 (01:41:51):
Every week on Monday I would go to and go
to the Dome. I'd stand in line for my fifteen
dollar bleacher seat. Where were the bleachers lower level of
the end z fabulous great seats seats in the house.
Fifteen dollars that crazy, They were great.
Speaker 2 (01:42:06):
And saw in the bedroom is where boys became men.
Speaker 5 (01:42:09):
Right behind down and it's a row. Yeah, right, that's
that right behind the hangman. Remember the hangmen. Oh yes,
right next to those guys.
Speaker 2 (01:42:19):
Even the things toward field.
Speaker 5 (01:42:22):
I know, I don't know if it's the same guy
or not. Really, it's gotta be.
Speaker 2 (01:42:25):
Who else would put it on a weird conscious a
blow up?
Speaker 5 (01:42:29):
Yeah, they used to just bag it against the walls.
Speaker 3 (01:42:33):
I remember going to a game at the Silver Dome
and these big fat guys were sitting in front of me,
and every time one of their friends went down the stairs,
they go boom bob boom walked like they just you know,
they were peeing all game, grabbing beers all games.
Speaker 2 (01:42:48):
So all game long, someone be walking up ed you
there's a big fat guy going boom bob oh man
a silver dome was something specialist.
Speaker 4 (01:42:58):
He shout out to burn five bucks in the chat
we're getting the next back tonight, and another shout out
to Life with Chris bro I'm messed with stick Man,
but him and that dude next to him. My name
is Anson, by the way, real Detroit guys man. Salute
to both of them.
Speaker 5 (01:43:15):
Chris from the East. Life with Chris, shout out, man,
you are in the raft.
Speaker 7 (01:43:21):
We got a heck of a wheel cars.
Speaker 5 (01:43:23):
We could spend the wheel we come back.
Speaker 4 (01:43:25):
Let's give him as much time as we can. We'll
spend the wheel right at about three fifty five?
Speaker 5 (01:43:29):
Is that okay?
Speaker 7 (01:43:30):
But we still need to take a break up to you.
Speaker 5 (01:43:31):
So we got a little ten minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:43:33):
I don't know where we're at on the lights.
Speaker 5 (01:43:34):
I know we're over eighty.
Speaker 4 (01:43:35):
Get me to one hundred liights, get this show to
underd likes, guys, and I'll land a little bit more
love into that pile of cards.

Speaker 7 (01:47:08):
Are you fine?
Speaker 4 (01:47:10):
We've got a couple of super chats here.
Speaker 3 (01:47:11):
Sir Dress said that I want to talk a little
bit about the NFL Draft and what Rod Woods said
about Green Gay.
Speaker 4 (01:47:17):
Real quick, guys, We're gonna stop the entries at three fifty,
so you've got just a couple more minutes. Shout out,
middle aged sneaker chick, I'm just trying my luck.
Speaker 5 (01:47:26):
Fingers crossed.
Speaker 4 (01:47:27):
Love you guys, Go Pistons, and of course a regular
in the super chat. My man Burn also shout out
to the Knicks fans who showed up Saturday. They talked smack,
but they're not dumb basketball fans. Fun Banner in the
chat with them. Yeah, everybody from New York that showed
up in the postgame chat, appreciate you guys. We'll be
doing it again tonight after the Pistons game. Just a
(01:47:47):
couple more minutes, and you guys did get us to
one hundred likes. Add a couple extra ones in here,
my man stick, What do you got for us?
Speaker 2 (01:47:55):
Well, first of all, I can appreciate the Knicks fans
being polite. They won ye wait until they lose a
game and let's see the tone of them. I mean,
because this is it's gonna go just like it did
with Lions. We were cute. Oh you went to winning
a few games.
Speaker 7 (01:48:09):
Oh Pistons, it's cute.
Speaker 2 (01:48:11):
Once you start ripping hearts out of teams, you become
the enemy real film. Speaking of enemies, the Green Bay
Packers are hosting the draft this year. Yes, it's not
gonna go well.
Speaker 3 (01:48:25):
I like, listen, I get, I get the majesty of
frozen tundra of lambeau Field.
Speaker 2 (01:48:31):
I understand it. What it means to the game, you
bet no.
Speaker 3 (01:48:35):
I have not but understand civil logistics, and I understand
that there is no hotels.
Speaker 2 (01:48:43):
There's really no place to actually have a draft and.
Speaker 3 (01:48:50):
Be going look to like Keyworth for d CFC and
hosting the NFL Draft there. Now, last year, Detroit puts
seven hundred and fifty thousand people in downtown Detroit. This year,
there is no way Green Bay is going to touch that.
And according to Rod Wood, this is from Will Birchfield,
I don't think that they will ever top it.
Speaker 2 (01:49:09):
There's no way green Bay will come close. They'll finish second,
or they'll finish third.
Speaker 7 (01:49:13):
Like they did last year.
Speaker 2 (01:49:15):
So I love that taking a little shot at them.
Speaker 3 (01:49:18):
But yeah, nobody's going to touch seven fifty, especially small
town Green Bay Billies.
Speaker 2 (01:49:24):
That's all they have is.
Speaker 5 (01:49:24):
Their football first at next year.
Speaker 2 (01:49:27):
You think Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh is a good city.
Speaker 4 (01:49:30):
Did you just tell six miles stick to be careful
in green Bay?
Speaker 5 (01:49:34):
Be careful about talking about lambeaugh Why Why? Because it's
it's it's beautiful. It's amazing stadium, Amasa.
Speaker 15 (01:49:48):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:49:49):
I had half those fans coming at me on Twitter
earlier this season, and then they had that whole guy
that's set up the dude at the Eagles by recording
them and crowdfunded him so a Packers fan could go
to Philly.
Speaker 5 (01:50:04):
It's always I have zero.
Speaker 2 (01:50:06):
Respect for green Bay and their fans. Yeah, it's nice
that you got the stadium, but like I said, it's
really easy to be a green Bay fan because all
you've done is win, right, But you're not a real
fan because you've never had to deal with adversity.
Speaker 5 (01:50:19):
Went in the seventies.
Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
So we're gonna see.
Speaker 3 (01:50:21):
We're gonna see here right now in twenty twenty five,
twenty six, twenty seven, nine thirty, how good of fans
green Bay really is when.
Speaker 2 (01:50:30):
They're at the bottom of the division. Perennially wearing cheese
on his Yeah, well, yeah, we'll see.
Speaker 3 (01:50:36):
They'll show up in their parkas and be cold out
there just to watch the Lions come in and stomp
them like they've done the past two years. So hold
on tight, green Bay. Not only are you gonna underperform,
in the draft. You're gonna underperform the next seven.
Speaker 5 (01:50:49):
Grim Grimm says, I need a drug test. Why Grim,
have you ever been to lambeau Field. I'm just telling you.
It's a phenomenal stadium to go through. It's a bucket
list stadium to go through. One of the best times
you will ever have in an NFL game is at
lambeau Field. You don't have to be a fan of
the Packers to know that. You just gotta love football,
love the NFL. It's on my bucket list.
Speaker 4 (01:51:10):
But I gotta be honest, summer at lambeau sounds a
hell of a lot better. So I don't mind the
idea of that draft. Real quick shout out, Phil got
a super chat in right before the buzzer or another
five bucks out of him.
Speaker 5 (01:51:24):
We're gonna be doing this again tomorrow and the rest
of the week. I'm here with you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:51:29):
Pete is gonna upload those and we're gonna run that
at about three fifty five. But I know we got
just a little more to talk about before that.
Speaker 2 (01:51:36):
What you want to talk about?
Speaker 4 (01:51:37):
What do we want to talk about? I know what
he wants to talk about.
Speaker 2 (01:51:45):
No one cares about baseball and hockey this week.
Speaker 5 (01:51:48):
Now wear a second.
Speaker 4 (01:51:49):
Do you see this up here? I got that shirt
in eighty four at Game five, and I love that shirt,
but it was so small, and I think it was
like fourth grade. We had this project where we probably
could still fit in it.
Speaker 5 (01:52:03):
That's a book.
Speaker 4 (01:52:05):
Oh they made us taken in grade school that you
had to bring in a T shirt and you used
it as the cover.
Speaker 5 (01:52:10):
Got it.
Speaker 4 (01:52:10):
And I'm just putting out a desperate plead to every
Detroiter out there that.
Speaker 5 (01:52:15):
Might own a one of the old shirts.
Speaker 4 (01:52:19):
I had a chance to get one at a at
a estate sale this past summer, and I got there
a little too late. I've never seen another. I am
so desperately in need of that shirt. If anybody can
hook me up, let me know. But yeah, man, we're
gonna be doing some padre busting this week.
Speaker 5 (01:52:33):
The Friars are coming into town for the next three
so far, that should be fun, good weather, go down
and see if he's with a career a year so far.
I'm heading down there and eight o'clock I'll get the
hell out of there and go watch the Pistons. I'm
gonna go watch a few winnings.
Speaker 2 (01:52:46):
At least, I'm still in shot.
Speaker 3 (01:52:48):
You used to use T shirts for your books, like
our broke ass has always had to use paper bag
paper bags.
Speaker 13 (01:52:53):
Yeah, that's cool.
Speaker 5 (01:52:56):
It was a whole project day where we're like, brought
in a T shirt, we.
Speaker 2 (01:52:59):
Cut it, and they expect these kids to cut up
their clothes just for books.
Speaker 4 (01:53:03):
The book book inside I wrote. Actually, so we each
all wrote like a story and then booked it. But
give me one of those padre Busters shirts. Chat, I will,
I will make it worth you.
Speaker 5 (01:53:15):
While. Hey NHL, tonight we got some uh come on,
you had to get you don't want me to get
NHL in all right, we're.
Speaker 2 (01:53:21):
Gonna talk NHL. We gotta talk about what Dylan Larkin said.
Speaker 5 (01:53:23):
I'll save that for tomorrow so we could talk about it.
Speaker 2 (01:53:28):
So what I want to talk now? I don't want
to spots that nobody here cares about.
Speaker 5 (01:53:32):
I just want to tell you about what happened yesterday
and what's coming up tonight. Are the Red Wings playing, No,
they're not. It doesn't matter a nice straight year. Kanes
beat the Devils. They're up one nothing leaves over the Sins.
They're up one zip. Knights beat the while they're up
one to zip. Tonight, Capitol's first game against the Canadians
Jets up one nothing. They host the Blues, Avs and
(01:53:52):
the Stars Avalanche leading one nothing and the Oilers and
Kings should be a Jim Dandy tonight, and we'll tell
you about Joel. I'll tell you about it.
Speaker 4 (01:54:03):
MADD's dedication to national teams is never ending. I'd love you,
big guy. I need I need some serious predictions tonight.
We're starting with you, Rick. What's happening at Madskins Square Garden?
Speaker 7 (01:54:18):
I want my pists to win it by five?
Speaker 5 (01:54:22):
You want or you think I really.
Speaker 7 (01:54:24):
Want my pistess to win it by five?
Speaker 13 (01:54:27):
I'm gonna leave it there.
Speaker 7 (01:54:28):
Move on to the next.
Speaker 5 (01:54:29):
Person, Masikins. What about you, Pistons. You're gonna win on
all last second shot by Jalen d.
Speaker 7 (01:54:35):
Want complete turnaround tonight.
Speaker 12 (01:54:39):
Pistons by twelve in an absolute shocker at the garden.
Speaker 7 (01:54:49):
Man, that's the end of the show. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:54:55):
That's why I'm winning by one.
Speaker 3 (01:54:57):
If Cave Cunninghan comes out and is the superstar we
all hope and believe he is, Pistons will win this
game by four points. If he comes out and can't
perform in the fourth quarter. I love what you said earlier.
He needs to come out the first two quarters and facilitate.
Get Malik Beasley, go and get Jayalen Durham going get
get that. Then when crunch time hits, it's Kate Cunningham.
(01:55:19):
Put on a show. Show them why you're the best
in the league. Show them why everybody here in Detroit
so damn excited when you put on those buffs.
Speaker 2 (01:55:26):
Draft night.
Speaker 3 (01:55:27):
It's time to go to work for Kay Cunningham. And
if he does, Pistons will win by four tonight.
Speaker 5 (01:55:33):
All right, bab listen.
Speaker 4 (01:55:34):
I will be far more realistic and I will piss
you all off when it comes to the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 5 (01:55:40):
But the kool aid flows all the time for these boys.
Speaker 4 (01:55:46):
Pistons win tonight. I don't know by how many. It's
sweep in the room, bad boys.
Speaker 5 (01:55:54):
They will find a let's spind the wheel.
Speaker 6 (01:55:59):
What do we give?
Speaker 4 (01:56:00):
Okay one more time, guys, I got a stack of Pistons,
red wings, Tigers.
Speaker 5 (01:56:07):
I got a little old school Tigers sticker.
Speaker 6 (01:56:09):
Here.
Speaker 5 (01:56:10):
We got some Woodward stickers.
Speaker 4 (01:56:11):

(01:56:33):
put them in here for you as well.
Speaker 5 (01:56:35):
Vana Pete, what do you got for us?
Speaker 7 (01:56:38):
Well, here's the wheel, gentlemen, spin that wheel?
Speaker 2 (01:56:40):

Speaker 7 (01:56:41):

Speaker 13 (01:56:52):

Speaker 5 (01:56:54):
Oh all right, Phil's got a big shot RANDO for Phil.
Speaker 4 (01:57:08):
So we got we got four more opportunities this week.
Speaker 5 (01:57:11):
Week.
Speaker 4 (01:57:11):
I appreciate you and everybody else contributing.
Speaker 3 (01:57:14):
And Phil, whatever you're doing to Flannel, Sam, keep doing it,
don't I don't know what it is here too, well man.
Speaker 2 (01:57:22):
Whatever you're doing, just keep doing it. I don't know,
just keep doing it.
Speaker 5 (01:57:24):
I'm gonna make these a little bit better each day.
Speaker 4 (01:57:27):
But I will say this, if the Pistons win tonight,
Tomorrow's is gonna be real nice. And if the Pistons
win on Thursday Friday's finale, it's gonna be very very special.
