Escritora y médica activista antifascista y libertaria. Fue una de las primeras mujeres españolas licenciadas en medicina a principios del siglo XX, con las dificultades y hostilidades que esto implicaba en aquel momento. Amparo se volcó durante toda su vida para ayudar a las personas más desfavorecidas, prestando especial atención a salud sexual femenina. Defensora de la bisexualidad como una opción más de la sexualidad humana, fue un ejemplo de lucha social y feminista, y un referente injustamente olvidado por la Historia.
