fifth pick, well you're just gonnahave to follow me across all social media.
No, we only talk about theDetroit Pistons on this podcast, but
Game five is tonight night that you'relistening to it, so it's gonna be
(01:14):
sound kind of funny when you listento this later in the week. But
Game five man Boston and the Warriors, it's gonna be It's been a good
series so far. Who you gotin this Game five? I think I
think there's no way the Warriors losethis going back, going back home.
They did exactly what they needed to. They split in Boston. You know,
(01:34):
Boston snow sloucha a very good team. But I think there's a way
the Warriors pull this out. AndI heard a stat earlier today and I
don't I don't remember exactly what itis, but it's something like between the
high fifties the low seventies percent chancethat the team that goes on to win
Game five wins the series. Idon't know how much I trust stats like
(01:57):
that. I really don't. Theseare two really good teams. I think
you can throw all of that outsidethe out, out of the windows,
and I don't know, I thinkit just comes down. I mean,
I don't even really know what thekeys to the games for both of these
teams to win them are. Youknow, I think over all, the
Warriors, for the most part,it looked like they have played better basketball,
you know, I mean than theBoston Celtics. Like I mean,
(02:20):
their offense is more. I don'teven know how Boston wins. Like I
was watching them the other night andit seemed like for two straight minutes,
all I saw was Tatum and JalenBrown stating on the perimeter, like no
movement whatsoever, Like everybody was juststanding around, And I'm thinking, how
is this team winning basketball games toget to the NBA Finals and how are
(02:42):
they beating the Warriors when you're twobest players and Tatum and Brown are just
standing on the perimeter like I mean, I'm not a Boston Celtics fan at
all, so I don't get towatch them all year. But they were
just waiting for the ball. Theyweren't cutting, they weren't moving, they
weren't doing anything. And Dad kindof threw me for a loop, you
know, because I think, ifyou're going to the NBA Finals you have
(03:02):
some like crazy sophisticated offense where there'sa lot of motion, a lot of
movement, a lot of cuts, people playing off of each other, it
doesn't seem like you get there withBoston. But so I don't even go
on my badman, I don't know. I was just saying nothing even even
about this series or game. Butsince we're trash in Boston, I mean,
(03:23):
this is a this is the Pistonspodcast, Let's load ab up.
You know, did you see thatJason Tatum text to Kobe. Oh my
god, dude, you know corny? Was that? I like, like,
like, the sentiment is cool.Yeah, the fact that you needed
validation and posted it online that's socorny. Yeah, that part is corny
(03:46):
to me. Like, I mean, I don't know, I've heard,
I've heard of people dealing with deathin different ways. In like one way
is to like email the person youknow or send them a message, So
I get it. But yeah,I know you're one hundred percent right.
It was completely corny of him toscreenshot that and put it out for the
(04:08):
world to see. Like I Ijust thought that was so weird. And
then I guess, I don't know, like what came after that too,
was kind of funny where he worethe Boston Celtics T shirt kind of like
Kobe did in his pre draft work. Yeah. Yeah, I mean it's
cool, and I know those twohad a relationship. But I mean,
back to back to game five.So you said all that about Boston.
(04:30):
I'm guessing you're going Dubs as well. Oh, I mean I gotta root
for the the you know, thekid from Mischian. You know the kid
that played at Michigan, Jordan Poole, Like, I gotta root for him,
I gotta. I gotta root forand Andrew Wiggins. Steph Curry claim
one of my all time favorite players, Kevon Looney, Like, you know
your name, and a lot ofguys, but the one from Saginaw.
(04:53):
Oh, I mean, yeah, there's Draymond Green. Don't get me wrong.
I was talking about the guy thatplayed at the University of Michigan.
I know, I know what youwere saying. Yeah, not the one
that played in Lanson, you know, No, but Draymond's great, Like,
I mean, I dude, Ithink he's amazing too. I mean,
I just love the Warriors in theway then the way they're built,
and really I just love the waythe Boston Celtics are built too. I
mean they're all built through the draft. That's home pick talent to play on
(05:15):
each side. I love that.Um. I mean, it's definitely a
recipe that the Pistons I hope thatthey follow as well. But real quick
back to Tatum, I know hesays Kobe is his favorite player, but
he did have a tweet a fewyears ago talking about how Kevin Durant was
his favorite player, and I thoughtthat was just hilarious. So I don't
really know who's yeah, I guess, but I mean who you're going from,
(05:39):
you know, Kevin Durant to Kobe. I don't know, you know,
good for Tatum, But I guesswe're not really giving you guys any
analysis on the game. I mean, no, yeah, we're not.
I mean, but who do yougot? In game five? You said
Warriors. I'll say Warriors too.You think this goes seven games? Six?
Okay? Interesting? Interesting, Butthis is a Pistons podcast. Let's
(06:01):
let's get into some Pistons stuff.Oh we will. Do you ever hear
anything about why Grant Hill didn't wantto be in Detroit? No, I've
kind of heard the flutters, thething everybody says, just the generic he
didn't want to be here, andthen that's it, you know, no
follow up. He didn't want tobe here because X y Z, he
(06:25):
was fighting with this guy, hedidn't like management. Just nah, screw
Grant Hill. He didn't want tobe here, you know, That's all
I've really heard. Yeah, Idon't really know what the whole story is.
I know that he has a bookout called Game or The Game something
like that, and he did hestarted a book tour started in Detroit,
which is pretty cool. I'm gladhe started it there. But I always
(06:47):
thought, you know, the sentimentwas for Grant Hill, like, look,
I don't really believe in what thePistons are doing. I don't want
to be here. It seems likeyou guys aren't getting it right. I
want to take my talent elsewhere, and which is a fair thing, you
know, Like I mean, Idon't know many players that want to play
for a mediocre franchise and not goanywhere deep in the playoffs. So I
(07:10):
don't blame Grant Hill for that. But dude to kind of like bring into
these things where he didn't like thecity of Detroit, which is just crazy
in itself. And then you know, to blame his wife wanting to pursue
her R and B or her musiccareer in Orlando, which makes no sense
because Detroit is motown and these arethese are Twitter people. These are accusations
(07:35):
from Twitter people, right yeah,And I mean, but those rumors started
somewhere and that's why the Twitter peopleare bringing it up. But like,
I don't know, I just neverreally heard too much about Grant Hill.
I just was I thought, honestly, like hearing about it, I thought
it was more of like a peacefulparty and like both parties were like,
hey, yeah, let's just it'sa clean break. He did a All
(07:55):
the Smoke episode with Matt Barnes andStephen Jackson, and he kind of got
into it and he let a lotknow, you know, obviously that's that's
in the book, and he's promotingthe book. But he talked about his
an injury a lot for for thefirst time and why he felt it took
(08:16):
so long. He may have thrownsome shade at the Detroit Pistons organization mentioning
a misdiagnosis while he was talking. And so if you're a fan of Grant
Hill, if you want some insightby the book, but also go listen
to the All the Smoke episode. It's a pretty good one and so real,
(08:39):
Well, what did he say aboutum the Pistons though, like in
the concerns of the injury, theyjust right. So he believes um and
he was very careful on how hechose his words, um, but he
essentially believes that I don't know ifif the team said it was an ankle
(09:01):
sprain or or twist or you knowwhat they said it was, but he
believes it was a hairline fracture.Right, So the team was you know,
you're good to come back this day. He was playing on it,
getting worse and worse and worse untilit finally broke. Had other problems.
He mentions specific injury. Go listento the episode because I don't want to
(09:24):
misquote him, but he mentions anotherspecific injury. Uh, that almost got
his leg amputated. Yeah, Iremember that because I that was when he
was in Orlando though, right right, right, because he got an infection.
Yep. Yeah. But it's it'sjust a really interesting from from his
(09:45):
kind of college days to him settingthe story right in his pro days before
we move on. The only thing, the one thing I remember, and
maybe I'm misremembering about the injury, but I thought he had problems with his
hips and that was what was thrownas ankle off and why he had so
many ankle injuries was that there wasactually something wrong with his hip. Like
(10:07):
I don't know if it was dislocatedor if his hips were thrown off.
But I thought there was something wrongwith his hip that made it so like
his ankles were more susceptible to injuries. I thought it was something like that,
but I could be wrong. Buythe book and you'll find out.
I don't want to buy the book. I want to be given to me
as a gift for millennial. We'removing on to headlines. With headlines,
(10:28):
we bring you news stories, updateson the team. In a quote or
two. We might even sprinkle somerumors in there, you know, maybe
one or two. We'll share ourthoughts if we have any, and then
we'll move on. The Utah Jazzreceived permission to interview Detroit Pistons assistant Jerome
Allen for the franchise's head coaching job. Sources tell ESPN this came. This
(10:50):
comes from Adrian wo Janowski. Goahead and say this is nothing good for
Jerome Allen. He's a high commodity. I personally don't think he becomes the
Utah Jazz head coach. But JeromeAllen, what do you think of the
chance starf him becoming the head coachof the Jazz? Yeah? Man,
I don't know I'm kind of inthe same boat as you where I think
(11:11):
he'll be back. I think it'sdefinitely good for Jerome Allen to be in
this position, but I just don'tsee him taking the spot with Utah right
now. So I'm right there withyou. I think he's gonna be back
next season. Now. I knowhe was a head coach in college in
(11:31):
the Summer League this year, rightyeah, I think so. Yeah.
If not him, it would probablybe like Rick Calluman or whatever. But
you know, anyways, I don'tthink he's never been a head coach in
the NBA. You have Rudy Gobertand you have Donovan Mitchell, who are
in position to compete. They wantto compete. I doubt they want to
play for a rookie head coach. So Droo Allen, you know, great
(11:52):
of him to get the interview. He ain't gonna be the head coach of
the Utah Jazz. There's just noway. I think they've already announced too
who might be the head coach,or I could be getting that wrong.
It might be Kenny Atkinsons to Charlotte. So yeah, Utah Jazz is still
in the interview. A lot ofa lot of Pistons getting ex Pistons getting
coaching jobs this year. That's coolto see. Yeah, Darvin Ham and
(12:13):
becoming the head coach of the LosAngeles Lakers. Yeah, I didn't not
got Yeah, I got Chauncey.Who else is a head coach in the
NBA from the Pistons. I'm blinkingit was Chucky Atkinson, not a Piston.
That's Kenny Atkinson. If I saidChucky Atkins, Oh yeah, I
think that's my Chuckie. If Isaid Chuckie Atkins, I apologize. I
(12:35):
thought I said Kenny Atkinson. Butbut yeah, Darvin Ham the quick,
little cool thing about him. He'sactually from Saginaw, Michigan. And I
just learned this today. He wasactually shot in the face on accident as
a kid. You know how insanethat is? Like, there's dude,
LA is the perfect place for him. He's gonna feel no pressure being in
(12:58):
being an NBA coach Los Angeles.Yeah. I just read that to these
accidentally shot in the face as achild, It's just crazy, dude,
unbelievable. The Hawks are among themost interested in trading for Detroit for the
Detroit Pistons, for Jeremy Grant, this offseason. According to mark Stein.
(13:18):
I don't even know if that's theactual quote or not, because you have
to pay for mark Stein's stuff. But anyways, the Hawks are interested in
Jeremy Grant. I like Atlanta asa trade partner. We talked about the
Hawks as a potential trade partner anumber of times this past season. Yeah,
I know, the Pistons fans wantthe seventh pick from portlanda This is
(13:39):
the ideal scenario for all Pistons fans, no doubt about it. But Portland
can get a better return for theseventh pick. So let's look at the
Hawks, like, what are thechances. Do you like anybody on that
team for Jeremy or just kind of? I mean, I would love John
Collins. I just don't think that'sever gonna happen. I don't. I
mean, I don't think so either. But you know, if i'd have
(14:01):
my choice, I'd rather take theseventh pick from from Portland at that point.
But I mean, mister mark Stein, I don't. I don't mean
to burst your bubble, sir,but this hasn't been news since the All
Star break of the season, soyou know this, this is nothing new.
We we've known the Hawks have beeninterested in Jeremy Grant. I don't
(14:22):
know if he makes it past draft, meaning Jeremy Grant, I don't know
if he's he's still on the teamafter draft with the way, you know,
after hearing all the rumors last year, and he eventually, you know,
as we all know, stayed. But now the rumors coming in this
year are just like doubled in tenfolds. So it'll be interesting to see what
(14:43):
happens on Draft night. Yeah,I'm trying to think of like all the
trade scenarios people have been putting togetherfor Jeremy Grant. I don't even know
what the actual rumors are. Iknow, during the season, but Jeremy
Grant for John Collins swap was possible. But yeah, I don't know any
of the rumors, Like, Imean, is it is it Bogdanovich coming
to Detroit? Who is it?Yeah? I don't even I mean,
(15:05):
I don't even really know Jeremy Grant'svalue anymore, right because I'm seeing all
these trades thrown out and You're like, it's just so wishy washy. Right
now, his value is anywhere betweenlike a borderline all star in an apparently
(15:26):
a top ten pick, right,I don't know where the history. Yeah,
who in the history of free agentsis worth not a superstar but a
top ten pick? Yeah? Yeah, it's just so strange, Like I
don't get any of this stuff, and like the thing I hate about the
(15:46):
like things like this coming from MarkStein. Oh, the Hawks are interested.
You could say that about any freakingteam in the NBA. He wouldn't
even matter. Like we've heard theLaws, Angels, Lakers, We've heard
the Portland Tradil Blazers. Dude,I think we even heard the Utah Jazz,
Cleveland, Atlanta. There's five teamsright there. Who isn't San Antonio
(16:07):
Spurs. Who isn't interested in JeremyGrant? Like who? But I'm just
saying, like, when you tweetsomething like this, out, do us
a favor and throw some freaking namesin there too. Who is cool?
Atlanta is interested in Jeremy Grant?Who are they willing to give up for
(16:27):
Jeremy Grant? That is all Iwant to know. I don't care that
the Hawks are interested in Jeremy Grant. I want to know who they want
to give up for Jeremy Grant.I don't care that they're interested in them.
I just want to know who isit. Bod Kanovitch, is it?
John Collins? Is it Clint Cappella? Is it Kevin Herder? Is
it? A number of these guys? Who is it? So we can
talk about I don't like cleaning guessinggames. I hate it. I hate
(16:49):
it so much. But yeah,Jeremy Grant, he's a rumored to go
everywhere. It's unbelievable, and Idon't know what to believe. I don't
know what's more likely, a tradefor a draft pick or trade for a
player. But if they're gonna makea trade for a player, oh my
god, dude, I hope theycome back and they bring something to the
table equal or better than what JeremyGrant is bringing. Well, it's already
(17:11):
been reported numerous times that the teamis looking to pick up two to three
impact players. Now, what doyou mean by an impact player? Your
guess is as good as mine. But at least a front court I said
three. I meant to at leasta front court and a backcourt player.
Impact player to me means starter,So you know, keep your eyes on
(17:37):
that as well. When when we'retalking about Jeremy Grant, you think,
yeah, I mean it would haveto be a star. See. That's
the thing though, too, Like, I don't know if everything's up in
the air, because if they do, indeed draft Keegan Murray, there's no
need for Jeremy Grant. But ifthey don't draft Keegan Murray and they do
go a guard, you want JeremyGrant, I don't. I don't know.
(18:02):
I think it's a situation because youknow, we've heard hot and cold
both ways on Jade Nivy. SomeBeat reporters are reporting that the Pistons don't
even really have them have Jade andNivy high on their board, and some
people are reporting that he's still thenumber one option for Detroit. So believe
who you want. I'm a JadeNivy fan. I'm gonna think that the
(18:25):
team is still very high on JadeNivy. But here's a scenario that I
think happens. If it does.If Jade Nivy goes before the Pistons pick,
and the Pistons do draft Keegan Murray, I think the next think Troy
Weaver is doing is picking up thatphone and calling Portland for the Jeremy Grick
Yeah to pick up the seventh andthat Jeremy Grant swap. See, I
(18:48):
think two, if the Pistons aremaking a trade, they're giving up more
than just Jeremy Grant in that tradepackage. And I don't even believe that
teams are that And I know wejust talked about every team being interested in
Jeremy Grant. I don't even knowhow many teams are really interested in Jeremy
Grant. Like, I don't eventhink he's the best trade piece available on
the roster, like I think,yeah, I mean, well, we're
(19:10):
not Kate. Kate is not atrade piece unless it's a Godfather offer.
But like I think more teams wouldbe interested in Sadiq Bay, No,
that's not I don't think you've heardanything out of Sadiq because every time an
NBA GM calls Troy Weaver and Sadikgets out of his mouth, you hang
up the phone. A guy givingyou that much production and playing that high
(19:34):
level on his second year in arookie contract, you would be absolutely Sacramento
King's level stupid to trade that away. I don't know, sixteen points five
rebounds, three assist, He's he'svery inconsistent. I'm just down playing Saddiq
Bay just a little bit as tolove. I mean, he's he's very
(19:56):
inconsistent, but he also holds almosteverything three point record in Piston's history.
Yeah, that's more of a youknow, the Detroit Pistons sucking from the
three point line for so many years. I mean, dude, when you
have a GM drafting Andre Drummond andGreg Munroe signing Josh Smith through a large
contract, you don't believe in threepoint shooting whatsoever. We picked up Henry
(20:18):
Henry Ellenson, lanky white guy thatshould be able to shoot. Yeah,
every linky white guy that's six footDirk every every Yeah, it's unbelievable.
I don't even know what we're talkingabout anymore, but anyways, it's a
topic. No, it's just Yeah, we were talking about Jeremy Grant everywhere
he's going, and I just thinkthat I just I get why he's valuable
(20:40):
to teams because he's a two wayplayer. But I just think if you're
really looking to trade back in tradeback into getting into the top ten,
you're you're probably gonna have to letgo of CDK pay to make that happen.
I think he's the only player thattruly nets you a top ten pick.
I just don't. It's just sohard for me to believe that Jeremy
the Pistons could get the seventh pickfor Jeremy Grant. It's just crazy to
(21:03):
me. Like I believe the Atlantainterest more than anything else, Like you
know, Bogdanovich, and you knowwhat do they got the thirteenth, fourteenth
pick. That is more realistic tome than the Pistons getting Eric Bledsoe in
the seventh pick. I just don't. I just don't see that happening.
Anybody can say whatever they want to, man, I just don't see that
happening at all. Let's move onto the twenty twenty two draft odds for
(21:25):
the Detroit Pistons. We got KeeganMurray number one one twenty, so a
fifty four point five percent chance ofthat happening. Shadon Sharpe comes in second
at plus two ten thirty two pointthree percent chance, Dyson Daniels coming in
third plus six hundred, fourteen pointthree percent, and then Matt I don't
know how to pronounce his last name. Scotch Scooch tweeted Ben matherin plus twenty
(21:49):
seven hundred at the fifth pick forthe Detroit Pistons. Jade n Ivy not
even on the board. Okay,I can kind of explain that a little
bit. The numbers I got thesefrom, I got them from Reddit.
They were posted in the Pistons subreddit, and I believe someone in the comps
(22:11):
I'm not looking at it right now, had said that the person had actually
omitted Jade and Ivy. So Iactually don't know what Jade and Ivy's numbers
are going fifth overall to the DetroitPistons, but apparently his name was on
this list somewhere, but the personthat made the post that actually admitted his
name, I actually believe he wasthird behind Shade on Sharp, which is
(22:33):
just crazy. Though. Yeah,I just can't shake the not seeing him
at the next level, like hitthe love for Sharp, Really, I
don't I don't really understand it,man, Like I don't want to say
I don't understand it, because thekid was head and shoulders better than everybody
(22:53):
he stepped on a court with inhigh school, and that's there's no denying
that that he did some absolute amazingthings on the court. But I want
to see Sharp when he is notthe best player on the court. What
does that look like when he hasgrowth to do, when he isn't just
(23:15):
stepping over the competition. And Iknow he played in the k D circuit
and I know he played in thehigh level AU circuits. He was still
the best high school player. Heis not gonna walk into the NBA and
be the best NBA player. He'snot right, He's not gonna be the
best player on his team. Sowhat does the best high school player look
(23:37):
like in the NBA. Look,I know some players have came, you
know, Lebron, some say he'sthe best player right now, came out
of high school. I just don'texpect him to be sharp meaning him,
I don't expect him to be aLebron. No. And I think the
other thing we're overlooking too is doesTroy Weaver draft projects like? Since he's
(24:03):
been the GM for Detroit. Iknow it's like a very it's a short
resume, but I mean the playerwith the most that needed the most work
was killing Hayes and killing Hayes.I think still does elite things with being
out. Yeah, I mean likehe's he does elite things well. Being
called the project player. Yeah,I just don't see Troy Weaver drafting the
(24:26):
project like. I don't even I'meven like thinking back to the days when
he was in Oklahoma City where hewas an assistant GM, I think they're
the project player. They all didthat he was a part of was Hommy
dud Allo, and that's why Ibrought him over Troy, but he drafted
him in the second round. Ijust don't see Troy Weaver using the fifth
pick on a project player unless Shayanand Sharp has blown them away in the
(24:52):
private workouts and everything, and youknow, behind closed doors and no cameras,
no nothing, he was killing itsome five on five Like. If
that's the case, then fine,I guess it makes sense to draft on
a fifth. But we haven't seennothing like that. I haven't hear nothing
like that. Yeah. So here'sthe thing. The way I look at
Shade on Sharp verse Jade Nivy.If we are to take Shade on Sharp
(25:21):
and Ivy is still on the board, Ivy gets drafted wherever and becomes a
job Morant type prospect, I willalways feel like we missed out on that
guy. If we draft Jade nIvy and Shade and Sharp, Shade on
Sharpe is still on the board andhe becomes a great prospect whoever you want
(25:44):
to compare him to on another team. I will not feel like we missed
out because it makes sense to nottake that gamble right now when you're in
such a delicate rebuilding situation like theseare uncharted waters right Like all years we've
talked about how crazy it is,how fast this is actually turning around,
(26:06):
and you have an opportunity to takeanother real step. Are you willing to
put that stepping stone of the DetroitPistons in a high school players, shade
On, shade On Sharpe. Imean, if you are, then Troy,
I trust you, but it betterwork out. Man. Thinking about
shade On, is this like ifthe Pistons do draft him, you can
(26:30):
bring them along slowly, there's nopressure for the kid, and it gives
you a chance to compete for thetop five, top ten pick in next
year's loaded NBA draft class. Likehe gives you that chance. I don't
see it in shade On. Ijust don't see Troy Weaver drafting a project
player. And honestly, I'm startingto feel like shade On is going to
(26:51):
be a huge disappointment. What guydoesn't want to compete. That is a
red flag if I have ever seenone, Like the dude doesn't want to
compete. I understand that. Nowyou know you've done enough when there's still
a lot of mystery where you're like, look, it'll be a top five
pick no matter what. I don'tgotta go out and work out. I
don't gotta play. I'm not gonnamess up my money. But this mystery,
(27:14):
not competing, not doing the drills, not wanting to go out there
and battle with Europeers, that haskind of made it seem like shade On
is gonna drift potentially out of thetop five. You know, probably somewhere
later in the top did he likewalk out of warm ups or workouts or
something. I don't know about that. I haven't I don't really follow it,
like I don't follow shade On thatclosely. But no, wait,
(27:36):
no, he had put his namein. I think what you're thinking of
is when he put his name inthe NBA combine and took a spot from
another guy that could have won, actually competed, and then refused and not
to go. Yeah, and Ithink he cut his time, that's short
short when he was with him.Yeah, I could be wrong, and
I you know, I'm not gonnabeat him up for this just for the
simple fact that I could be wrong. But I really thought like he walked
(28:00):
out of a drill and just left. I thought I read that from Adrian
Ward Danaustein. Now, I couldbe wrong, so I don't want to
beat him up. But but let'sget back onto this though. Out of
these four who I named Ben Matherin, Dyson, Daniel shade On Sharpe,
and Kegan Murray, who are youbetting on to be the fifth pick um?
Out of those four? I thinkit's gonna be Keegan Murray. Um.
(28:22):
Again, I really hope it's gonnabe Ivy. But out of those
four, I would be happy withKeegan Murray. Yeah, I would be
I think I think Kegan Murray mightbe the most NBA ready with an NBA
skill set. Yeah, I meanthat makes sense like a lot of people.
I mean, if we're just goingby like what he did in college.
Yeah, like in the dude, can he does a lot like I
(28:45):
mean, he can even play somesmall ball five that'd be interesting. Um,
I think it'd be Ben Matherin thatwould who I'd put my money on
it, just you know, heseems like he could fit alongside kid.
You know, he does a lotof things, and yeah, this kind
of reminds me a little bit ofJalen brown just a little bit. I
said that last week, and yeah, he he does. He does remind
me of Jalen Browner like that big. If I had to rank these four,
(29:07):
though, I would go Ben Matherin, Keegan Murray, Dyson Daniels,
and then shade On Sharpe to bedrafted by the Detroit Pistons. I don't
know how much you know about DysonDaniels, but I watched a video of
him shoot like eight for twenty fromthe three point line and nobody was guarding
him, and it looked bad,Like it looked real bad. Like I
mean, Dwayne Casey loved DAMARDA.Rose and he couldn't shoot threes for to
(29:32):
save his life. Yeah, hecan still shoot up, He could still
shoot He could shoot that midrange though. Yeah, I mean, I'm just
I'm just saying though, you know, three point shooting may not be the
pinnacle to the draft board, isall I'm saying. With with Dwayne Casey
and Troy Weaver. No, andthat makes sense. And I'm not just
saying three point shooting. I'm justtalking about the fact that they just got
(29:52):
broke jumpers and that's like you haveto spend time fixing that, like,
and that's the way they've been shootingfor so long, you know, their
entire their entire career up until thispoint. And I don't even know the
point of the G League, Knight, if you're not going to fix his
jumper, what the hell are youdoing? You know, Like, I
mean, isn't that the point ofit other than to showcase your abilities as
(30:14):
well? But right, yeah,it's like a like an upper class AU
team, I know, But Imean I don't know. I just man
outside of like, I mean,I really want Jade and IV two and
I understand he has a questionable threepoint chat, but I mean, dude,
at least he was making it incollege, you know what I'm saying,
And you can see him improving, yep, exactly. And I don't
(30:34):
think Jade and IVO would go eightfor twenty in an empty gym, you
know, I just don't see thathappening. But again, I don't even
know where I'm going with Tyson Daniels. He's just not a guy wanted Detroit.
He reminds me too much Alonzo Ball. I do like a Lonzo's game
now. But man, it wasyears before he could shoot the three point
chot. Man, that was bad. That was just real bad. Did
(30:56):
you see that workout video of killingand as though, dude, it's so
funny because um, he's sitting somethree point shots, but then he drives.
He does like some it's like somefootwork trill. He drives on the
right side. And guess what handhe finished with. Don't tell me you
(31:18):
gotta take it's it was his lefthand. It was left hand. I
figured you were gonna take the queuethere a little bit faster. No,
No, I wanted you to guess. I wanted to be like, oh
my god, his right hand.He used his right hand. I was
thinking, No, he used hisleft hand. And I don't know,
dude, that it's why not whatdrill are you doing where you use your
(31:41):
left hand on that on the rightside of the hoop? Like what?
D No, it was a dopelittle jelly layup though. I mean it
looked looked cool. Yeah, it'dbe way cool if you could use his
right hand like right, I mean, I mean you use that if a
defender's trailing. Where was there adefender trailing? I mean maybe that was
the d Do work on your righthand. Just be able to finish with
(32:04):
your right hand. The best hooperscan finish with both. That's what I
want from guys. I'm not sayingshoot threes with your right hand, dude,
just shoot a lamp. Make alamp with your right hand. Come
on, killing did you who outof all of the pistons, who do
you think's working the hardest this offseason? Kade, I'm gonna Stewart, Yeah,
(32:30):
I mean he's probably like he's probablysweating the most sweat equity. He
probably is sweating the most. Isaw the workout tape though with Hommy Dudelo
and Bull Bull though as well, and man, what could have been in
Detroit Bull Bowl and Hommy we missedit could have been a great duo.
(32:50):
You're just shaking your at. Youhated Bull Bull, didn't you? No?
I didn't. I mean I didn'thate him. I just didn't understand
it. You didn't understand the lovefor him. No, I just didn't
understand like bring you know why wewould bring him in. You know,
I wouldn't expect him to be onthe team next year if we were to
bring him in. Okay, oneon one game, Luca Garza, Bull
(33:15):
Bull, who wins? They're they'replaying for your life, Luca Garza,
Dude, you're dead. No,I think former former college player of the
Year on Luca. I that wouldbe such a fun on one on a
(33:35):
fun one on one game to watchbecause I don't think you would ever end.
I don't think anybody gets the scorethat they need to win. Oh
but Luca, he'll out work bullBull for sure. All Right, guys,
