Speaker 1 (00:37):
And we're back fan Pole Sports, a true tech sports
podcast for the true tech sports fan. Once again, I'm
your host, Ronnie Langford. Back at it here under the
evening clouds and breeze of South Texas, a few guns
off in the distance. Back at it with the main Man,

(00:57):
the Double Nickel, the how shall we say, the Former,
the first Known, the Unknown, Johnny Football, the original himself,
the Ki, the Double d Mark Ramirez, Markramras back, Welcome
back to the program, my friend. How are you, buddy?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Hello?

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Hello, I would say kiddy, it is probably better man,
but yeah, also, you got Ronnie Langford there, mister allgas,
no breaks, comes with all the good takes, and we're
here to talk Aggie football over that hated my most
hated rival, the Notre Dame crying Irish.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Well, uh yeah, yeah, We're gonna spend a lot of
time talking about the Aggie's and that big win in
South Bend, Indiana. You know, impressive, impressive that they took
that that game on the road. Man, can't not deny
the victory that they were able to secure this past
Saturday night. An exciting game under the lights. Uh in

(02:07):
the shadow of touchdown Jesus and the Golden Dome there
on the Notre Dame campus. You know, there's a lot
of good football again this past weekend. Man. Uh, you
know Texas they they just did not look and sink
at all, but they did pick up a win. Texas
Tech again played you know, the Sisters of the Poor.

(02:29):
You know, I think Sister Avelina may have been may
have been one of the defensive coordinators or something. Sister
Maria was coaching the special teams. Uh, they beat up
on somebody. I don't know who the hell they beat
up on. Looks like Baylor beat up on some third
rate school as well. Uh. And of course here locally, man,
the Battle for two one oh, the battle the Battle

(02:51):
for the area in the San Antonio vicinity. UTSA with
a big win over Incarnate Word. Uh. Texas State coming
off a big win against UTSA last week, goes into Tempe,
Arizona and gets chalat by the Arizona Arizona State Sun Devils.

(03:12):
So you know, a lot of football, man, a lot
of different football all across the area and stuff. But
you know, we can't take away we cannot deny that
game on Saturday, the Aggies versus the Whining Irish, the
crying Irish, the sobbing Irish, the I'm drunking my beer Irish,

(03:34):
whatever you want to call him, Dude, call them what
you want to call them. The thing is, they're sad,
they're upset. I'm pretty sure it's still raining in South Bend, Indiana,
just like it does in Ireland all the damn time,
because there's so many Notre Dame teers that are falling
as the Irish have now falling oh in two on

(03:55):
the season, and the fact that they may be there's
a chance that they may be out of the playoff
picture already because they only have one other ranked team
on their schedule, and that being the USC Trojans. I
think I think they get together in a couple of weeks, man,

(04:17):
So we'll have to see. Let me get your thoughts
first on the Aggies and how excited are you about
this win? Man?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Oh man?

Speaker 3 (04:31):
I never thought at the beginning of the season. You know,
we had our little our podcast about where.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
We thought they would show up, what their.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Rank might be, how many wins they might get, and
I was under underestimated them greatly, being three and zero.
And the more important thing is those damn Notre Dame
people are undefeated, I mean defeated. That just puts the

(04:59):
icing even more on the cake. Man, I don't know
even know where to begin, because this that game. I mean,
they were struggling there at the beginning. I think there
was a play in the second quarter that I can recall,
and I wish I could have watched it live, but
you know, hey, work calls sometimes. There was an interception

(05:22):
that that Marcel Read threw and they were down I
think it was seven to fourteen to Notre Dame at
the point at that point, and I mean they could
have easily folded up the tents. They could have just
you know, coward or just about down to those ugly
ass gold helmets.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
And just you know, collapse. But man, they showed me
a lot, you.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Know, from from some of the highlights that I saw,
some of the plays that I saw, and just just
the grit and just the hard not giving up, you
know play. There was a screen grab that I saw
of the coach just I mean just laying into the players, right,
just laying into them and just letting him know, hey,

(06:06):
you know, this opportunity, this thing. I'm sure it was
a lot more colorful words than what I'm saying. But
I think he at that time, what he had to say,
what he did to motivate them to finally go out
there at the end such a close game to win it. Man,
it's just man, it's superlatives, the lore gigamags, howdy, I mean,

(06:33):
I mean, damn, dude, it was a badass game. It
was a badass game.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yeah. Man, again, I can't I can't take anything away
from the win. I can't take anything away from what
they were able to accomplish this past weekend. You know,
all credit goes to Coachoko, his staff, those players for
gutting out a huge win, like I said, a late
second win, Marcel Reid throwing the ball to Nate Bordcature. Yeah,

(07:02):
I'll never say that name again, but yeah, but you're right.
You're right, dude. For us to have sat here a
few weeks ago and as we were looking at their
overall schedule and looking at things, you know, we touched
on this game and you know, maybe they could, maybe
they couldn't win it. We weren't exactly sure at the time.

(07:24):
We wouldn't have been surprised if they would have won.
We wouldn't have been surprised if they would have lost.
So it was kind of a toss up with the
way that we discussed it a few weeks ago. But
to see them go in to Notre Dame, into that
famed i'll call it an arena, even though it's a
football stadium, and to be able to play as well
as they did, you know, a lot of credit to them.

(07:48):
I didn't watch the game just simply because I was
I was banned by my son in law because when
I did watch, Notre Dame had just scored a touchdown
and I text him. I was like, hey, I just
turned the game on. Notre Dame just scored, so should
I change it? And he's like, yes, stop watching now.
So shout out to Cody. Shout out to Cody. I

(08:09):
gave you. I gave you one. There. Don't say I
don't ever do anything for you, but yeah, man, I
think it was I think it was big big time.
We talked about big time Brandon on our last episode
when we're talking Cowboys. I think this game right here
was big time for the Aggies. Even though it's only
in week three, it's still one of those things that
you can carry momentum from that game throughout the season

(08:32):
because you can tell your team, hey man, we've been
in this position before, We've had our backs up against
the wall in a hostile environment and we won on
the road. We can do it again. You're right. Coach
Elko led into those players, he tossed that chair. When
I saw the highlights of that, I was like, well, okay,
so is he gonna get suspended like they suspended Bobby
Knight because he did the same thing. But you know,

(08:54):
that's just that's just me. That's just me. But but
I mean, he needed to do something right. He needed
to get a reaction. He needed to get a reaction
out of that team. He needed to do something to
get those guys fired up, pumped up, ready to go
to make the plays, do what they had to do
to try to secure that win. And he did that.
You know, whether he was throwing a chair, whether he

(09:15):
he was cussing them out, whether he was spitting in
their face as he was doing whatever the case may be.
I'm just glad there's no COVID being spread around there.
But you know, it's just one of those things, man
that if you need to get these guys motivated, you
need to get them motivated and he did that. Man,
So kudos to the coach Elko, Kudos to his staff

(09:35):
for getting those guys to buy in, forgetting those guys
to get after it on Saturday night. They're in the
South Bend, Indiana area, And I'm glad Notre Dame loss. Dude,
I may not have the same level of hatred for
Notre Dame that you do, but I don't like him.
I've said it before, even though I grew up Catholic,

(09:56):
even though I know they are the Catholic school of
in this country. When it comes to football, Uh, not
my team. I don't care. I've never been a fan,
you know. I I'm not one of those people who's
scared of midgets or little people. But I am a
little weary of leprechauns. Okay, So you know I'm not

(10:20):
a fan. I'm not a fan. Uh And you know Gingers,
Gingers themselves, you know, not high on my list from
where I come from. So so anyways, I'm glad they lost.
I'm glad they lost. I'm glad they're suffering. I'm glad
they're hurting because that's one of the few teams that
when they lose America wins, and America definitely won on

(10:42):
Saturday night thanks to the fighting Texas Aggies.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Hey, dude, I never thought that I would say in
the same sentence the beginning of any season where A
and M was undefeated.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
And Notre Dame hadn't had a win yet, that's just
that's awesome, bro. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
I do to point out a couple of players. I
did do some research. I found out that it looks
like the duo of Mario Craver and Concepcion. Uh, they
seem to be kind of one of the better duos
and h and again I have to do some more

(11:19):
research on some other the other players out there, but
them as a duo and them doing what they're doing
is extremely effective. Here's some some stats here. It looks
like Craver. Craver has an essence in just three games,
five hundred and fifty five total yards. And again that's
just not receiving, that's you know, probably some other little

(11:41):
thing pitch out, pitch outs or whatever. He's second in
TDS in the nation, and that's Mario again, Craver, and
he's got at least over one hundred yards in each game,
which that's that's saying something and concepcion. Man, he's got
one kick return. I want to say it was a
kick return on it was a punt, but I want

(12:02):
to say it was a kick return for a touchdown.
And he's got two in and twenty seven yards and
I mean he's got three tds, so he's got one
tdach game. So these two guys as a tandem and
a duo for Marcel Reid were and again both of
these guys from the portal, you know, we talked about that.

(12:23):
I mean again, it's a good it can be a
good thing, right, it could be a bad thing. But
when you're tailoring an offense to a Marcel Reid type quarterback,
and I will say this, man, he he's right there
at that Johnny Football level in my opinion at this moment.
I'm not saying he has pulled it out yet. But
these receivers are can only get the yards that they

(12:46):
get with having you know, Marcel Reid.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
As a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
And I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if one of
these guys, you know, they start having these what do
you call them Heisman conversations.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
I mean, maybe.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Marcel Reid as well, I know we talked about arch
Manning in the past, and I mean, you never know, man,
you never know. If they can make these connections, they
could keep doing what they're doing. You know, have Moss
running the ball, man, dude, it's the sky is the limit.
I'm with the win that they had that day and
the grid that they showed me, and again they came

(13:19):
from behind. I think there was a point in the
middle of the second half where they they actually got
the leaves but lost it because they were kind of
trailing more or less most of the game and they
were I'm not going to say they were getting outplayed.
But when we talked on the last podcast, you know
what did I say, They had to stop that.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Freaking running game. And they didn't. They didn't, And almost
word for a word of what I said had to
happen happened.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Because if Marcel Reid, first of all, remember he was
injured and we were talking about whether or not he
was going to be able to play and be one
hundred percent and all these good things, and if that.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Running game got going, then.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Marcell Reid would have to be I guess kind of
Johnny football ass and just you know, put the game
on his back and the kind of match them point
for point. And again it's weird to me because in
Notre Dame, whenever you and I ever have ever watched
the game in the past, and you and I have
seen many, many, many college football games, they call it
that look of the Irish plays actually went a negative,

(14:20):
right that that extra point they got botched there at
the end, which again, you still got to go out
there and you got to stop A and M. You
still you know, you got the lead, but you know,
and A and them didn't have to kick a field goal.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
You know, they didn't have to get into field goal range.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
It got put on Marcel Reid's shoulder to take him
down the field make the plays with his legs and
his arm and his players, and that tied in again
what was his name, dude?

Speaker 2 (14:48):
That was next level.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
That that touchdown there is very simili close to I
guess the ut game that I went to after the
Fallen Tower.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
It's right up there, dude.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
But I'm not going to say it overtook that for
obvious you know, thousands of other reasons.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
But man, dude, that victory, that win in Notre Dame
and being three and zero.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
I just can't. Man, it's just awesome. But again, it's
just one you played a great game. It's just one
game of you know, the minu that you have to
play moving forward. Man, I can't wait. I can't wait
for the next game.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
It'll be interesting, man, I get again. I give them
all the credit that they deserve, and maybe maybe Marcel
does get his name in the Heisman conversation. You never know,
you know, the Heysman conversation is kind of like the
preseason polls. Dude, they don't really mean anything until you
get out there and do some things. And Marcel's done
some pretty good things to this point of the season.

(15:48):
It'll be interesting to see how it progresses, because, like
I told you before we started recording, it's never been
about A and M winning games in September or even
elderly October. It's what are they doing in late October
and November that has measured whether or not they've had
a truly successful season. So we'll see be excited, be
overjoyed about the possibility that they present right now because

(16:12):
they are undefeated, and let's see how long y'all can
ride that momentum. Man, it'll be a fun time. Throughout
the season again. Man, I just want to touch a
little bit on Texas. I'm not saying that Arch is hurt,
but there's something definitely not right because it's not just
a throwing motion, dude, it's hesitation. It's overthinking. It's not

(16:35):
quite like making the play that needs to be made.
There was a few moments there on Saturday that they
let him run the ball a little bit, like it
was actually his z own read for him to run.
I hope Sark starts to incorporate that a little bit
more because that look like Arch was comfortable when he
was able to do that. He's talked about in his

(16:55):
press conferences this week that he just wants to play
free and loose. Go do it, man, go do it.
Go have a big game this week, Go get some
numbers up, you know, and then you go into a
bye week and then you start SEC play on October fourth.
I know Florida is not the best team right now.
I know a lot of people are down on Florida

(17:17):
because they've looked like, you know, just trash the last
few weeks. It's not gonna get any easier for them
this week because they play against a pretty good Miami
team down in South Florida. So you know, Texas needs
to take advantage of all the things that they have
in front of them. Dude, playing Sam Houston State at home.
Should be able to put up some big numbers. Should

(17:38):
be able to do some things against that team. But yeah, man,
I don't know what it is. I don't know what's
going on with Arch. I'm a little upset with Sark
and some of the play calling. Some of the play
calling has been a little questionable. I kind of like
we talked about the Cowboys. I think he's trying to
throw the ball too much. He's not relying enough on

(17:59):
his running backs. He needs to do a little bit
more of that. So so we'll see. Man. Like I said,
this past Saturday wasn't pretty. They won by thirty something points,
but it was not pretty at all. And that's all
I'm gonna say about that. What do you got?

Speaker 3 (18:15):
I mean, I'm kind of gonna mimic what you said,
because again, the running game, the running game just needs
to get going, because then again, you're not just putting
it all on his all on his shoulders. And you
made the perfect analogy or phrase last week.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
He just said, Hey, man. Just let him be the
football player that he is. Man. Just like, hey, at
the end of.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
The day, yes you are a quarterback, but just go
out there and play football. Bro I'm not I'm never
gonna discount or play down arch Man arch Manning because
I mean, again, he doesn't have a big enough resume
for me to say, oh, this dude sucks. Right, But
you're right, there's there was something that I noticed. You know,

(18:52):
when you see a guy or his arm or his
mechanics or just something that's just not there. The zip
is not there. There might be just something wrong there
that he's kind of they're holding back. So when he
uses his legs and I actually mentioned it last podcast,
like it broke, just hey, just let him use his
legs when he needs to. I mean, get some planned

(19:12):
runs for him, you know, with some kind of like
misdirection things like that, because he's a fast motherfucker.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
You know.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
We talked about Buddy Jackson the other day, yep, and dude,
he's got to feed.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
And again, he's not going to be the I don't
want him to be the focal point of the running game.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
But again, just be a piece of it in critical
times when you need just to need you know, you
just need to move the chains. You got to get
the offense going and you know, fire up the crowd
or you know all those little intangibles. You know, you
don't need to run for a touchdown sixty yards or anything.
But you're right, man, the running game to me, from
what I did see in the plays that I did see,

(19:50):
it's just not clicking for some reason. And maybe it's
play calling. It could be your opponent, it could be
I mean, it could be a myriad of things. Now,
when it comes to Ohio State, they seemed to kind
of getting it going that running game and it was
kind of more arches, passes and drops and you know
Misski that then cost.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Him that game.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
But again it's a it's a total offense and they
really need to focus on the running game again with
Arch money as a part of it.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Yeah, man, I think that's I think that's important. I
think that's key. I think it's one of those things
that they are gonna have to look at now. I
will say, in fairness, their number two running back was
out again this week. He's he's got some sort of
foot injury. Then their uh number one running back got
hurt on the first play of the game, so now

(20:41):
he'll be out this week. So they were relying on
their third and fourth string even their fifth string running
backs to come in there and run the ball. So
in fairness, they they were struggling because of that. But
at the same time, you're playing UTEP, you should be
able to domin and eight UTEP with your third and
fourth stream guys, and they never did. And I know

(21:05):
UTEP came in defensively with some good numbers. There are
some good stats behind them. They're a gritty team, They're
a tough team. They fight, they they they really scratch
and fight for every yard that they that they get
and for every yard that they give up. But still, man,
they they should not have struggled as bad as they
did in the running game. So it'll be interesting to

(21:26):
see how things go moving forward. Hey, the other the
other big team here in Texas right now, obviously is
a Texas Tech Red Raiders. Uh. Texas Tech got after
it on Sunday or on Saturday put up another big win.
So I know you probably haven't seen or or really
read up too much on Texas Tech, but they're three

(21:47):
and oh man high expectations a lot of money has
been spent out there in West Texas with this program,
nil program, billion dollar contributor oil and gas tycoon. So
could we see something special from Texas Tech coming down
the line? Uh? You know, we'll have to wait and see,

(22:08):
because I mean, they they went out there on Saturday
and they they beat the dogs not out of Oregon State.
The score was forty five to fourteen, dude. But there
was one point in that game that I that I
just happened to see it. It was forty five to zero,
like at the beginning of the fourth quarter. So it's

(22:29):
not like Arizona or Oregon State ever had much of
a fight or put up much of a fight.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
So this weekend could be interesting for the youth the
Texas Tech rad Raiders because they have to leave the
comforts of Jones Stadium and head to Salt Lake City
and play the utah Utes. So this game could be
could be for who's going to take control of the

(22:56):
Big twelve? Man? Uh, you have any thoughts on Texas Tech?

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Not really, mad, I want to comment on something that
I don't have any familiarity with, but I will say this.
I mean, being three and Ozero, I think in any
capacity at the beginning of the college football is a
really strong start because then you start having those conversations
of they're going to move to the playoffs. There's a
chance will make it to the playoffs, you know, unless

(23:23):
everything just kind of collapses under you, right, which is rare,
but it can happen. And again, I'm not wishing anything
ill on Texas Tech because I want, like you said
last podcast, you wanted like, hey, let's get as many
Texas teams into that Dirty dozen and see what we
what kind of noise that Texas can make and and.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Forever in a day.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
You know, I think SEC, the SEC before Texas and
in m were in it, it was always just like that,
that SEC was always considered, you know, oh, this is
the cream of the crop type teams. And it has
a lot a lot that has to do with that
is recruiting, the money before the portal and all these
other things, and the coaching.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
The coaching for some of those teams.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
You know, again goes a long way, you know, And
I hate using the word saving, but I mean he
was a damn good coach, bro, he was. I mean,
you had to respect what he did with Alabama and
to me, that's that's one of the greater kind of
surprises to me that they're kind of struggling the way
they are.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
And man, I mean.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
The SEC is and you and I know this is
right for the taking now, right there's certain teams that
are on the rise, right, and there's others that are losing.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Stock and uh.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
And it's and it's a good thing because what's going
to happen from that?

Speaker 2 (24:43):
You know, all these teams, the lesser teams that.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Have been Hey, man, you know Alabama's been there, LSU,
Georgia and again. And I think, to good team, that's
a conversation. I'm gonna look at their uh when you
see some of these games that are considered problematic, I

(25:10):
mean the next one, I don't think so, you know,
but do you see other I mean we're looking at
Sam Houston, Florida, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Vandy.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
I didn't know you guys were playing Vandy. Uh. And
then it's Georgia, Arkansas and A and M.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
And I think those last three games for Texas, that's
gonna be a rough kind of murderer's row of teams.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
And I know Arkansas is not the great team that
you normally expect them to be.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Not that they're great, but they always they always are
speed bump man, They're always, you know, spoiling people.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
And what do you what are your thoughts?

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Well, that's why I say, like this, this game this week, dude,
this should be a win for Texas. I don't I
don't see even if it's close early time, should it's
not gonna be able to stay with that team. They'll
be able to beat them. But that's why I say
they have to build momentum. They have to do something
now because they have a week off next week and

(26:10):
then they start SEC play against Florida, and right now,
the way it looks, Florida is there for the taking.
So if you ask me today, could Texas go to
Florida and win, I will tell you yes, because even
with as much as they struggled, Florida has struggled that
much more. But could Florida win that game? Yeah, if

(26:30):
Texas didn't get it right now, if they don't start
putting it together now, building momentum going into the bye week, Oklahoma.
Oklahoma is a different team. They have a better quarterback,
their defense is a little bit more improved. They've got
some playmakers, but they're not quite what they had been
in the past. But the more confidence they get, the

(26:52):
more that they get going, the tougher That game in
October is gonna be that second Saturday in October in
dowb So Texas needs to get their shit together and
get after it to build momentum for that. Look, the
only one on their schedule that I'm gonna tell you
right now if you if you tell me to look

(27:13):
at the rest of their schedule, not including this Saturday,
but the sec schedule that they have left, Who's the
one team I think that they're gonna be able to
beat with little to no issue. I'll tell you none
of them. And here's why. Because there's there's one or
two teams on that schedule that you look at and go, oh,

(27:34):
Texas should beat them, But I don't know because I
don't know what Texas is he at Texas doesn't have
an identity yet. Texas has struggled. So you know, on paper,
they're better than Vandy. On paper, they're better than Mississippi State,
on paper, they're better than Arkansas, and on paper they're
at least equal to, if not somewhat better than A

(27:56):
and M. So you know, realistically, you could say, oh, well,
if Texas is better on paper, they should be able
to beat those teams. There's no guarantee, dude, So to me,
Texas has to build now. Texas has to prepare now.
Texas has to get ready and going now to be
able to beat and win those games in the SEC.
Because people talked about last year, this is the same

(28:18):
schedule they had last year, the same opponents in different order,
and people talked about, oh, Texas has it easy, Texas
has it easy? No they don't, No, they don't. There
is no easy game in the SEC. Yes, there are
those at the top and those at the bottom of
the SEC. There's not a lot of guys in the middle.
Right now, it's either top heavy or it's not. And

(28:42):
right now, right now, I'm telling you, the teams on
that schedule could beat anybody any day of the week.
So you know, I still have hope and faith that
the Longhorns are going to end the season at eleven
and one. But I just don't know yet, bro, I don't.

(29:02):
I really don't know. Hey, Baylor, Baylor's playing in Arizona
State two and one teams again control of the Big
twelve up there, so possibly that could be something. Man Uh,
Utsa I believe is on the road again this week.
Who are they playing? I forget who they're playing this week,
but that's a that's a big game for for for Utsa. Uh,

(29:24):
they're playing Colorado State, A winnable game for the road Runners.
They are another one man that they need to get
this win to start building some momentum for their conference
play because again they've had some injuries, they've had some
guys out, they've had some some turnover. Uh, they need
to get it together and get this thing moving in
the right direction. Dude. So man, that's pretty much all

(29:47):
I got, Bro, you got it? What else you got
before we wrap this thing up?

Speaker 3 (29:51):
I mean, just I mean I'm looking too, like you said,
the SEC is just I mean, there's always sofid strong.
I mean, they're just question mark teams that are opponents
that they're not just gonna fucking lay down.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
You know.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
These teams have you know, pride, you know, and and
whether you're playing at when you're playing at their house,
it just makes it that much harder. I'm looking at Auburn,
that's a tough game. Even Mississippi State can be.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
A trap game. Florida Arkansas and then l s.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
U and again obviously Texas there at the end, these
are all solid teams. I mean, I mean, what is
LSU is undefeated too, right as far as far as
I know, and dude, these are they're not There's no
weak opponents in the SEC. And and that's what I
like about it, you know, you and I when when
A and M left, you know, to join the SEC,

(30:45):
in my opinion, I thought that was the best thing
ever and not not has anything to do it, that
has nothing to do with Texas to me, in my opinion,
was like, hey, if you want to go and you
want to compete, and I know, I know what your
your words will be right after I say this, you know,
what have you really done yet? But at the same time,
you want to go be the man. You know, you
got to face the man. You gotta you know, play
against those guys.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
You know.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
A and M's had a taste of that once they
joined last year, you know, and they got pretty far
and they had easily you know, could have could have easily,
you know, a couple of plays gone their way. They
could have easily have made it to the championship game
and who knows. You know, you guys are holding up
the trophy, but hey, you never know. To me, I
still think, and I don't know if you're gonna say

(31:26):
the same thing about Georgia, and I hate saying that,
maybe even too about LSU. They're they're kind of right
there at the top. Even though A and M's undefeated,
I still think they're still at that top echelon of
the SEC And I guess, I guess only time will tell, man,
because I know your guys play them right, and A
and M plays them, so we'll see what happens. And

(31:47):
I just can't wait, bro man, But this win, I mean,
I'm gonna holster it. I'm gonna enjoy it while I can.
You know, I actually drank three beers tonight. I normally
don't do that. I don't drink like like one. And
that's about it. But you know, man, I just beating
Notre Dame, having them with no wins and in him

(32:07):
being three and zero. I cannot stress that enough. And
just Marcel red Man is playing lights out and I
hope that he can continue that. I think that, aren't
you Manning like you said, man, maybe there's something not
just with his mechanics, but if he's not, there could
be a problem there with an injury that is just
kind of hidden. And again we don't know that. We
don't know that. But hey, use your legs, bro, be

(32:29):
a football player and be a football player first, and
I think everything will.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Just work itself out.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Yeah, man, I just think over time, you know, just
go enjoy it. Man, you're a twenty seventy year old
college kid. You know, he's dating one of the stars
softball players there at UTSA, So I mean, I mean
at ut So. I mean, go enjoy life, dude. Go
go go have fun, go play ball, go have go
have another party or whatever you want to do. Do

(32:57):
your thing, and then take care of business. So I
think they'll be okay. Uh. The one thing that that
has upset me, dude, is that there's too many of
you Damn Maggie fans walking around happy. I don't like it.
I think it sucks. I think it ain't it. It
just pisses me off. And uh, you know, there's too
many of you, especially in this area where I live
in there's just too many of you walking around with

(33:19):
this smile on their on their face, you know. So
it's fine. Enjoy it, enjoy it success. Success has been
for you.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Dude.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
I like arch Man, you know why because I'm jealous
of his fucking hair. Dude, I'm jealous of that punk.
You had long hair too.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
If you didn't, all I'm saying. All I'm saying is
you did have a mullet. You did. You were you know,
you were in the Shawn Michaels hair club, you know,
fan base and whatever back in the day. But you
know you used to use some sort of weird conditioner
and jail or whatever you used, uh, you know, and
then now you have no hair. So you know that's

(33:57):
your own damn faults, and you know it's one of
those things that it sucks for you to have that.
So that same pain that you have when you look
in the mirror because you lost those golden locks, that's
the same way I feel. Because all you damn Aggie
fans are happy right now. So just understand, dude, I'm miserable.
I'm not happy. I am not feeling this season just

(34:20):
yet because my team, even though they're two and one,
even though they're number eight in the country, they lost
to the damn suck eyes. And now the Aggies are undefeated,
and all of you maroon and white you know wherein
people are happy and I'm not. So I don't like it.
I don't like it, Okay, So anyway, man, you know

(34:42):
the health of Texas football is great, and I'm excited
about it. I'm happy for these teams, dude. I think again,
Texas as a state, we have a chance to get
right now, we really, truly do have a chance to
get three teams in that playoff, them being A and

(35:03):
M Texas and Texas Tech. Dude, I would love to
see it happen. I would love to see it happen.
So we'll see, man, We'll see a lot of football
to be played, a lot of stuff to happen between
now and then, So we'll see how it goes. We'll
see how it works out, dude. So that's all I got, brother,
you got anything before we wrap it up? Just get
them all right. So once again, you know, it's always

(35:27):
a good time to talk football. It's always a fun
time to talk about our teams. And anytime our teams win,
we're gonna brag about him, We're gonna talk shit about them.
And your team better not be the team that we beat,
because if we do, we're gonna come for you and
we're gonna kick in the nuts and punch you in
the mouth, and you're gonna suffer that loss all over
again because we're gonna be talking about it. Fan Pole

(35:48):
Sports a true tech sports podcast for the true tech
sports fan. Once again, this has been Ronnie. That's Mark,
and we're out poo peece. Hey man, I know we
just signed off and everything, doude, but uh, you just
you just showed me something. What the hell are you drinking?
What is that can?

Speaker 3 (36:10):
It's called Arizona hard green tea with Gensen and Honey.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
So those of you that drink Arizona tea, you've seen
this can. It's green, it's it's got the little Mister
Miyagi trees on the side of it. Okay, So so
it's that tea, but with alcohol in it. And for
for Mark to sit here and tell me that that

(36:38):
beer might be the worst thing he's ever drank. And
when you consider that my man used to drink Slits
Paps blue Ribbon Jack's beer from New Orleans, I mean
for him to tell me that this is the worst
beer he's ever had that is safe Texas Pride and again,
drinking on a budget, that's when you know you're drinking

(37:01):
on a budget when you used to bust out the
Texas Pride. So for him to say that this beer
is the worst thing he's ever tasted, that's pretty bad.
Arizona tea is tremendous ninety nine cents to this day.
It's still one of those things that I drink from
time to time. But I'm not about to spend any

(37:23):
money on anything called Arizona spiked beverage hard, real brood
what real brood? Genseen and honey green tea? Hell no,
hell no, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
So the dude, the hard is for hard to fucking drink.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
That's what it is, apparently, dude, Because again, if you're
telling me it's bad, that's pretty bad, dude. So uh,
we just wanted to give a review for those of
you that are out there exploring different adult beverages and
enjoying them on a Wednesday night.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
A sponsor, dude, sponsor.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
There you go. Do not drink Arizona gen seeing tea,
spiked hard, whatever the hell they call it, Do not
do it. Mark's suggestion is buy the gen seeing tea,
put it in the fridge for a couple of days
for it to get nice and cold. Add your own
alcohol to that and you'll probably have a better experience

(38:22):
than what he paid for. How much did you pay
for that six pack? What was it? Six pack?

Speaker 2 (38:27):
No, it was I think it was an eight pack round.
It was weird. It was a weird number.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
So that's given up, Like no, yeah, just no, it's
a metric system number.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
Like no, damn Canadians, I tell you.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
So.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
I don't know what you paid. I don't know what
you paid, but you paid too much. You know. It's
not like back in the day. It's not like back
in the day when you could, you know, roll up
to the bar and ask for a long neck and
get it for a buck fifty. Dude, it ain't like
that anymore. So, yeah, man, spend your money wisely. Do
not drink the Arizona gen and Sing tea. Anyways, that's
all we got, man Fan Pole Sports True tech Sports
