school Calboys special with their own brand Isray Being Lone.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
And we're back fan Pole Sports, a true tech sports
podcast for the true tech sports fan. Once again. I'm
your host, Rodney nine for back at it on this
beautiful Monday afternoon with the main man, the Double Nickel,
the shine that never goes away to start in the galaxy,
(01:01):
and quite possibly the funniest looking person. I know, I'm kidding,
I'm kidding. My good friend, my longtime friend Mark Ramiers,
Oh silver Fox himself. What's up man? What's going on?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Hello? He no good to talk to you, Ronnie.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Also the guy that we all know as the West
Side Half Reed all gas, no breaks because he comes
with all the good takes Bonta Lankfort.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Good to be.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Here and like Randy Brown said, I'm out hey man,
I thought I thought I would get with you today.
You know, talk a little Cowboys. I didn't do much
of I didn't watch much NFL yesterday, but he looked
(01:55):
like there was a few interesting games. I know, I
know the Steelers rolled in New York and pulled the
pulled the fast one on the Jets. It looks like
the looks like the Broncos snuck out a win against
the Titans. The Packers looked pretty impressive offensively, and then
(02:15):
they did a few things defensively against the Lions. Uh,
last night's game looked pretty pretty fun. I know the
Bills were down for for most of that game, and somehow,
some way found a way to you know, pull a
pull a win out of the hat, so to speak.
I don't know what the hell happened to Baltimore, but
it looked like there were some interesting games yesterday. Man,
(02:37):
what were your thoughts on that first Sunday of football?
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Well, man, I was pretty excited, kind of just it's
it's cool when your team's not playing, so you can
you kind of have to pick and choose your battles
of what you want to watch, right because there's teams
you hate, there's teams that you kind of pull for,
and there's kind of teams you want to beat. Certain teams,
And I think my biggest letdown, I guess i'll.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Start there is the whole Detroit debacle.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
And I was really disappointed in what the hell they
put on the field? Man, I don't know what happened.
I mean, it was piss poor tackling. It was just
they were not prepared. They weren't ready, and it's a
division game, you know. Obviously with all the noise that
the Detroit lines have made in the last couple of years,
(03:25):
I expected a lot more. But at the same time,
you know, who gives a shit? Man, I don't really
like both those teams. I kind of wanted Detroit to
win because you know, we can't stay in Green Bay.
But I don't know, man, it was just a very
lackluster performance and you kind of play stupid games and
then you get super prizes.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, man, I mean, considering, like you say that, the
good and the I guess tremendous seasons that the Lions
have had the last few years, there was a lot
of excitement I'm sure from Detroit fans going into the weekend,
and uh, it was it looked like it was a
big letdown. You know, it was all it was all
(04:07):
smoke and no fire, so to speak. You know. Uh,
and that when when you have that kind of performance,
man kind of starts to seep in through the team.
That maybe they're not as good, maybe they start to
have doubts. And of course they may have some injuries
that we don't know about. Detroit's not a team we follow. Uh,
they may have some other things going on that we're
not aware of. So, I mean, it's one game. But then, dude,
(04:29):
it doesn't it doesn't look it didn't look good. It
didn't look good. And then you you put them in
the They weren't in primetime, but that three o'clock window
on Sunday afternoons, that's the big time. And if you're
gonna be playing at that time slot, man, you gotta
you gotta come out with some game. You gotta you
gotta do some stuff. People get mad because the Cowboys
always seem to play at that time or they're always
(04:49):
on primetime. But you know what, even when the Cowboys suck,
they still put out a pretty good product. They still
put out a pretty good effort, you know. So, uh,
one of those things to kind of take a look
at what you got.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Man.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Well, I mean there's another game you didn't mention, and
it was that Colts and Dolphins game. The Colts man
seem to be putting some stuff together. Bro, They put
a beatdown on the Dolphins, and I didn't expect that.
You know, again, the Dolphins are very similar to it,
like the Detroit is. Right, the last four or five years,
two or three years more or less, they've been kind
(05:24):
of making some noise, making you know, the right moves
and being a solid team. But for them to lose
like that, and it just shows me that the Colts
are kind of going in the right direction. It was
what thirty three to eight, and I mean they were ready,
they were prepared, and I did not expect to see
that as a victory. Looks like the Raiders one over
(05:47):
the Patriots, which I'm happy about.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
The Cardinals beat the Saints.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
And again we talked about the Steelers beating you know,
the Jets, which that kind of could have go either way.
I think that game because I kind of watched that game.
I was kind of interested to see what the Steelers
would do because I always have this weird kind of connection.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
To the seventies.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
You're probably not old enough to remember those old Cowboys
Steeler super Bowls what I do.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
And I was kind of kind of not pulling for
the Steelers and I was expecting a little bit more.
And the Jets.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Actually their running game was really strong. It was solid,
and they I mean it was thirty four to thirty two.
It wasn't like it was, oh, you know, a Rogers
came out and just took over. The Commanders won, and
that's a division game, which you kind of expected. The
Giants have not really put together anything in my opinions.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
And Saquon left.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
And another thing that really surprised me was the Broncos
as well, and they won twenty to twelve. But the Titans, man,
they're a mess. Broy're They're one of those bottom feeders now,
and I did not expect to see that.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Now. I think the forty nine ers lucked their.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Way into a win, and I guess we can talk
about them if you want, But to me, the biggest
takeaway was to me, the coats man, and I did
not expect to see that kind of a victory, and
that kind of I think was a highlight of my week.
I'll talk about the Sunday night game, but I'll let
you add a little bit.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
All I'm gonna say is, who the hell are the Commanders.
I don't even know who that is? You said the Commanders?
Who's that? Because the last time, the last time I
heard the last time I heard Commanders. I mean, we
had a we had an AFL team here in San Antonio,
so I'm pretty sure they don't even exist anymore. So
(07:37):
I don't know who the hell the Commanders are now.
I saw that the Giants lost to the team from Washington,
and every time I hear Washington, I think Redskins. So
if you're telling me that the Redskins beat the Giants
in a divisional game, then you're right. That's a pretty
important game and that's a pretty big win for the Redskins.
But as far as the Commanders go, I have no
(07:59):
idea who that is. I can say, Man, I didn't
watch very much. I mean, it sounded like there's some
pretty captivating games. It sounded like there's some interesting stuff
out there. It was Week one. There was probably some
good football, and there probably was some not so good football.
And to me, that goes back to the training camps,
the OTAs and the preseason. You know, if you remember
(08:23):
back in the day, man, the starters played one or
two series during the preseason and then played a lot
of the third game and none of the fourth game
going into the season, and you don't see that anymore.
There's only three preseason games. Now you don't ever see
the starters unless they're a rookie. That that they're speculating
(08:46):
is going to be a sticktarter on one side of
the ball. So you don't see that quality football in
week one. And I get it, it's week one, right,
but you still, I mean, you're talking about some of
these games, man, You're talking about some of the margins
of victory and stuff. I mean that to me, That
to me, is everything to do with training and preparing
(09:10):
themselves for the season, and it doesn't seem like everybody
was prepared, and it just it just at times makes
for a bad product. It works with some teams, it
doesn't work with all teams. And I think we saw
that yesterday.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
Go ahead, man, I guess the last team I want
to throw in this group is the team from Houston.
And I'm not even goin to say their name because
they played like shit yesterday. The Rams beat them fourteen
to nine. But I don't, man, I don't see. I
hate saying I told you so, But when they start
(09:44):
figuring out those rookie quarterbacks and they figure out your
tendencies and they figure out.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
What you do and what you want to accomplish on
the field. I mean it was a low scoring game.
The running game wasn't going, I want to say, for
both teams.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
And I don't know what the idea identity of Texans
is now.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
I know it's c. J.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Stroud, but the same thing with the Rams, dude, and
that's a well coached team that coach is always prepared.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
He had enough, he had enough gimmicky plays.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
And a little bit of you know, just outsmart sort
of demico that they won the game. But I see
them struggling, man. I you know, I was kind of
watching because I know further down the road, you know,
you may come across that team later on in the season.
And I didn't really see anything that like kind of
overwhelmed me. But I don't know Stafford was, man, I
(10:34):
mean he was looking okay, but you know, you win
by that much, by that margin, and to me, it's
kind of like a lot of these teams they didn't
crack twenty and that tells me that there's something different
in the league, something going on. Maybe they had it
started with the spitting Dak I don't know, but they're they're.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Kind of trying not to be too aggressive. Maybe that's
what it is. I don't know what you want to
call it.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
You know, Texans, I don't know where they're headed, bro,
because they did not show me like anything positive yesterday.
The only reason I watched Man is because we got
to talk about it. You know, we're in Texas podcast.
We got to mention it. And I guess I'll bring
up last night's game, and here's my theory on that, man.
And I mean, I hate being a conspiracy person, but
(11:19):
it's really strange to me that when like I say,
like Aaron.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Rodgers, right, he's the old guy and this and that,
and I'm not pulling for him or not.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Pulling for him, but him getting four touchdowns, in my opinion,
is like, Wow, that's a big fucking deal.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
You know, he's an old guy, he's kind of a
grizzle veteran.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
I don't see him, but what I saw from the
offensive line there in Pittsburgh, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
He's gonna last a season.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
But you know, it seems like I don't know what
it is to do with the Bills in the Baltimore games.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
It almost seems like it's a conspiracy.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Bro, oh, we got to also keep this guy in
the MVB conversation. And it's just very strange to me,
Bro that all of a sudden, you know, Alan gets
four TVs. Told he didn't throw for four, but and
the game just seemed to fall apart in the weirdest way,
in the weirdest time.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
And I just didn't understand it because.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
You know, you saw me posting, right, I hope you
saw me posting that. Man, they couldn't stop Henry, they
couldn't many end. DeAndre Hopkins was catching like balls out
of the air like.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Just acrobatic crazy.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
I mean, I said, there's no way they're going to
lose this game, and when they did, Dude, it kind
of makes me question what the hell's going on with
the league and they're trying to push some certain teams
to the forefront. And I'm not saying that it's conspiracy,
but it's just very ironic or just crazy that all
of a sudden the Bills come back from fifteen down,
and it just it didn't make sense to me.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Bro. They still won the game. I get it, but hey,
it's just one game, you know.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
I'm sure they'll see Baltimore in the future, they'll see
all these other AFC teams.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Which quote unquote you know, here's my question to you.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
Do you think the AFC has the stronger teams or
do you think the NFC has the stronger teams? And
I think that's my first question for you from.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
This, from these games that that you've seen, in these
scores and just what's happened, do you.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
Think that the AFC is more top hify make to make.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
It to the Super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I don't. I can't base it off of anything right
now because it's been one week. You know, it's it's
just it's it's so hit and miss. Dude, Like you say,
you're talking about teams with veteran quarterbacks that have you know,
there there their foundation together, but yet they're still struggling
(13:33):
to score twenty points. And then you have two teams
last night that were lighting up the scoreboard left and right,
had an exciting game. But I mean, what did you
see in either one of those teams that that you
thought that's a super Bowl team, that's a team that's
going to go on a long run and they're gonna
be there at the end. Does that mean that that
(13:54):
Baltimore and Buffalo won't be there at the end. No,
not necessarily use me, but you know as well as
I do back in the day. And I know people
get tired of hearing that about what it was back
in the day. But you knew the forty nine Ers,
the Cowboys, the Packers, I mean even the Redskins and
(14:14):
the Giants. Man, you knew those teams were gonna come
at you from the very beginning, and they were gonna
build consistently over this season so they could be prepared
for that run in December into January and into the
Super Bowl. And I don't know that anybody after one
week has shown anything like that, because I mean when
(14:35):
you look when you look at some of these teams
in the AFC, Baltimore and Buffalo primarily, can you honestly
say that they're head and shoulders above Philadelphia or Dallas
after what you saw last Thursday?
Speaker 2 (14:50):
No, dude, because they both scored forty points? Dude, Yeah,
what does that tell you?
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah? But that's why.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
But that's what I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Right, But that's what I'm telling you. Like, like, you know,
people will see those scores and think, man, that was
a badass game. That was a badass game, Well it was.
I'm sure it was a badass game back and forth
like that, very entertaining, But when it comes to winning,
Baltimore didn't make the plays that they needed to and
Buffalo made just enough to get the win. Right, it
don't matter if you win by one or one hundred
(15:20):
to win as a win. But that's why I'm saying, like,
are either one of those teams that much better than
Dallas or Philadelphia? You know, I don't think so. You know,
like you said, the forty nine ers looked into a win. Maybe,
but are those two teams that we were talking about
from last night that much better than the forty nine ers? Maybe?
Maybe not the Rams, We don't know what they are.
(15:41):
They only put up fourteen points. They have a veteran
quarterback that you would think would be able to do
more with that offense because he's been playing in it
for five seasons now. But that's what I'm saying, Like,
you really can't tell after week one. But at the
same time, you want to be the team to kind
of stand out. You kind of want to be the
(16:01):
team that shows everybody like we're here and we mean business.
And I don't know that anybody did that to to
really make you sit up and go, oh wow, Okay,
that that's a team that I'm gonna have to watch
for the season to see if they make it as
far as they're hoping.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
You know.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
So the whole, the whole point of this podcast today
was not to talk about the NFL. That's in this
long of terms. But it's fine that we did because
it gives us an idea of what's going on this weekend.
But the whole point of this episode was to talk
about the Dallas Cowboys and they're tough loss. I'm not
(16:38):
gonna say it was it was an easy loss or
anything like that. It wasn't a blowout, but they're tough
loss in Philadelphia, man. And you know, there's a lot
of different man, there's a lot of different things going
on Thursday night. Bro that that was a lot. That
was a lot in that first half, and then of
course the big you know, weather delay, and then how
(16:58):
the game kind of plays out and ended there towards
the end. But things kind of got off to a
weird start before the game actually started going. And whether
you want to call it the dak Tua or the
Hawk Prescott or whatever you want, to call it. It
was gross. It was gross. And you know Jalen Carter,
(17:22):
you know he is who he is. I get it.
Like there was the other there was the other camera
that showed where Dak spit first, and he did, and
he admitted that he spits on the and he does.
He's if you watch, he spits all the time. But
he didn't spit at the guy. He didn't spit at
his face or anything like that. Why Jalen Carter felt
(17:44):
like he needed to go closer to the Cowboys hudder
and say something and then ultimately do something.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
I have.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
No idea. I have no idea, but it is what
it is. We now know that that Philadelphia defense is
not very good upfront without that guy, and I don't
really know if they would have been able to do
much more with him, with the way the Cowboys executed
(18:12):
their game plan with running the ball and sticking to
the run. So with or without him, yeah, we'll see.
We'll see the next time that they play. Your thoughts
overall on that game, and then tell me what you
think about Schottenheimer and his first game as a head coach.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
First, t I'm gonna talk about the spit thing, because
I have to put my two cents in, man. You know,
did you ever see the little video of a little
kid standing by, I guess a waterboy or whatever. I
wish the fuck that was me, man, because I would
have thrown a fucking tower or water bottle at that
dumb motherfucker doing that to my quarterback.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Bro. I don't know, I might have gotten beat down,
I might have gotten a slap, I might gotten hurt, but.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
That was so unusually fucking gross that that would have
probably pissed me off. And I'm surprised that Dak, and
I'm glad that Dak kept the composure he fucking said,
cool man, see ya bye, you know, And in other words,
he's just saying like, hey, get the fuck out of
my huddle, basically right. So it's like, dude, what the
fuck are you doing over here?
Speaker 2 (19:12):
You know what I mean? And it pissed me off
to no end. And he got what he deserved. And
I hope he gets suspended too, man, because that's beyond
you know.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Remember they were talking before the game, Hey, we're gonna
crack down on all this taunting and this and that,
and the last thing you want to think about is
somebody spinning on somebody, let alone the fucking highest paid
quarterback in the league, and you want to do it
on fucking you know, the first game of the season,
before you even snapped the damn ball. I mean, there
was still one play before that, but that's just a kickoff,
which semi doesn't count. But still, man, that really pissed
(19:43):
me off. You sent some questions here, and I think
the first one, you're right, has to do with Shoddy
and how he did.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
And what overall game plan he had. Here's what I'm
gonna say.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
And I heard something over I don't know what it
was on what website or what YouTube or whatever.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
I want. Somebody broke it down this way.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
They said, you know what, the Dallas Cowboys were prepared
for this game. He had them not just offensively prepared.
He had a great game plan and didn't get executed
there at the end because of eighty eight.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
We'll talk about him later.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
And the defense did what they needed to do. And
another thing that they mentioned was they were just they
didn't have any penalties do any stupid penalties to beat them.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
They're away. It's an away game.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
You're playing against the Eagles, and I'm looking at some stats,
you know, and I never I didn't know this, but
they actually, you know, outplayed them stat wise, you know, Dak,
you know, outperformed him with his arm. They held Saquan
to sixty something yards. I mean, the game plan and
the preparedness that he had this team ready.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Without a fucking micah, I thought was just next level. Now.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
I'm not going to say e leak because they didn't win,
but he had this team ready, dude. And as much
as you want to call the Eagles the champs and
the be the man to beat the man, shit, they
they didn't seem like they were ready, dude, because they're
so undisciplined. Did you have your guys spinning at the
beginning of the game and getting his ass tossed and
possibly suspended. I'm sure he got fined, but dude, I
(21:17):
mean he had them very prepared.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Well.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
I mean, first of all, it's not that I called
them the champs. It's because they are the champs. So
it's not that I want to call them that. I mean,
they went out there, they won the Super Bowl. That's
who they are. And so I'm going to say yes
and no that you know he had them prepared. He did.
I'm not going to take that away from him. They
looked much better, they looked much more disciplined at times.
(21:44):
Like you said, Dak holding his composure during that stupid
moment from that idiot from Philadelphia and his action and
what he did, I mean, that shows that shows maturity.
And of course we know, we know Dak's not a
dirty player, we know that he's not going to stooped
to a stupid level like that. But at the same time,
I mean, when you get into moments like that, like
(22:06):
you said earlier, you know, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Dak easily could have reacted in a different way and
done something. One of the offensive linemen could have reacted
in a different way and done something. The fact that
they didn't, you know, that shows a lot of maturity
on their individual part, But it also shows a lot
of what the culture is trying to become in Dallas,
(22:27):
because there were times that it looked very undisciplined over
the last few years. There were times where these guys
got away with whatever the hell they wanted to and
there was no accountability. And that's kind of one of
the things that we've talked about before was that nobody
is holding those guys to the standard. You know, I
(22:48):
went off on that rant last week on the show
and then I reposted it on Facebook about why I
am the way that I am and why I hold
the expectation the way that I do for the Cowboys.
It's because the Cowboys made me this way.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Right.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
So when when they had some of these issues with
Micah and they talked to Shott and Hyper and he
was like, we'll address it. You know, when I heard
him say that the first time, I was like, Yeah,
sure you will. This is your this is your prize possession.
This is the guy that is everything to your team.
I seriously doubt you're gonna do anything about it. And
(23:26):
the fact that Jerry pulled the plug, the fact that
Micah is now in Green Bay, you know, maybe that
maybe there is a change of things in Dallas that
we don't see or that we didn't expect. As far
as their preparedness is. Last week, dude, there were stretches
in that game where there's no doubt in my mind
they were the better team. I mean, I know Philadelphia
(23:46):
was coming in as the defending champs and all the hoopla,
but there were stretches, especially in that first half where
Dallas truly was the better team. Yes, Philadelphia scored with
them back and forth, right, but they got lucky on
a few of those plays. You know, Hurts got out
(24:07):
of containment. It looked like he was gonna get sacked.
He got good pressure from the defense and he was
just able to squeeze out and get outside wide and
pick up a first down. Same thing with Saquon. You know,
it looked like they had him in the backfield a
couple of times. And that son of a gun has
all the moves man, the jukes, the jives, the slip,
the slide, He's got it all and he put it
(24:29):
on display from time to time. I know you said
he got held to about sixty something yards, but in
that first half, I mean there were moments there where
you go, Okay, yeah, this guy really is the best
running back in the league because of the way that
he was able to move and get through that Cowboys defense.
Now to the Cowboys credit, they buckled down in the
(24:50):
second half. They got the pressure on Hurts, they got
him on the ground, they made him throw some bad throws.
They controlled Saquon much better. The final tells you that
they got they got things together on defensive side, because
the score was twenty four twenty and at halftime it
(25:10):
was twenty one twenty. So they only gave up three
points in the second half. But unfortunately they didn't get
any points in the second half, and that's kind of
what hurt them, right. But I think there was some good.
I think there was some good to what happened on
Thursday night. I think they are much better than maybe
(25:31):
even I gave them credit for. So it'll be very
interesting to see. I will tell you this, I will
tune in Sunday. Now. Whether or not I tune in
for the whole game or not, we'll see. But I
was pretty invested in that game on Thursday night, man,
And you know, if I have to put a letter
grade on it, you know I would. I would give
(25:55):
them a high B because they showed great effort, they
showed pretty good discipline, and at times they showed some
really great execution. But was it enough to get the win.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
No.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
And there's reasons for that, and we'll touch on those
here in just a bit. But I think overall, man,
it was a pretty good game. Like I said, I
enjoyed what I saw. I hated the fact that they
went into the weather delay because you know, I was
just like, I ain't staying up for this. There's just
no way I'm staying up for this. It was too long.
I knew it would be laid into the night, and
I didn't want to have to stay on it. Hey, man,
(26:30):
what were your thoughts. I just touched on it a
little bit. What are your thoughts on Dak and the
way he looked and how the offense looked.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Man, I mean he came to fucking play Bro.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
He was.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
We talked on last podcasts about whether or not he's
an MVP candidate, and I think he I'm not going
to say he played like that, and I'm going to
tell you why he didn't.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
And I hate to say. It wasn't really his fucking fault.
It was eighty eight.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
And if eighty eight makes two or maybe three more
of those catches, dude, he's in the conversation. Man, he
probably has another couple more touchdowns. Obviously they would they
would have won the game. I mean the Eagles or
the are the fucking trash pigeons or whatever the hell
you want to call them. They they were not prepared, dude.
They were not ready for it. They said, oh, we're
(27:21):
going to kick off to your ass and and we're
just gonna beat you down and just like we always do.
And but yeah, man, that's that's that's against you know,
your your backup quarterback and all that crap. But when
it comes to Dak though he sometimes not I'm gonna
say sometimes, majority of time he's had Hurt's number. So
they just took it down the damn field. They scored,
(27:41):
and I was like, man, you know what, that looked
a little bit too easy. That tells me that this
O line is way more gel together than I thought.
You know, all the Tylers were kicking ass. BB was
kicking ass. And there was that one play too. They
kind of stuck outing me when when Tyler's smacked that
one guy in the head and I thought, man, okay,
that's that's some serious Rick James bitch, I'm Rick James
bitch type stuff, and I like that.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
And they weren't. They weren't there to be pushed around,
you know. They came to play and they took it
down the next drive, right, they took it down the
field and they scored again.
Speaker 4 (28:11):
And I said Okay, the first one wasn't a fluke, right,
you could say the first one was a fluke, But
that his accuracy, him moving around the pocket, him hitting
guys even though they didn't fucking catch him. Dude, he
was dialed in. Like I don't know if it was
the spit, I don't know what the hell it was.
And usually, like I said, he plays good games against Philly.
(28:32):
It's always a give and take with that team. And
I think they they they gave more than they took,
but the scoreboard just didn't show it. And man, he
was accurate. He had a good game plan. I don't
know who the OC is, but I think the OC
is dialed in with him just in the right frequency
to make the plays. He wasn't getting ahead of his skis.
(28:55):
He was calm in the pocket. And that's another thing. Man,
that offensive line, he never got dirty, I mean, you
know what I mean. He he was pretty clean. He
had a pretty clean jersey at the whole game. And
I said, wow, this shows me something. This shows me
that this group in front of him can protect him
quote unquote against the champs. Right, So I'm anxious to
(29:17):
see what happens the next game. Back to me, I
had to say that he had an A plus. But again,
he put the ball where he needed to. The other
guys need to make that connection and bring it down.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
You know, there's a reason why I refer to him
as not my eighty eight because you know, I've been listening.
I've been listening to some podcasts here lately. As you know,
Netflix put out a show on the Cowboys, and Michael
Irvin was featured in a lot of those episodes, and
(29:55):
rightfully so, because not only was he doing stuff on
the field, he was doing stuff away from the field
that got him in a lot of trouble. And uh,
but you know what. You can say what you want
about Michael Irvin, dude, but at the end of the day,
he made the plays. There's a reason why he's called
the playmaker because he made plays, you know what I mean,
And he knew in the clutch situations that he needed
(30:18):
to step up and be ready to make the play.
You know, I'm watching I'm watching these highlights of what
happened and the four drops that CD had, and really
there's only one that I think, Okay, I could see
why you would not make that catch, But I'm looking
(30:40):
at these other ones. Man, Like, bro, where else did
you want Dak to put the ball? I mean outside
of Dak like running down the field and like putting
the ball in his hands. I don't know what else
Dak could have done to get him the ball in
positions to catch it and continue to continue to move
(31:01):
the chains. You know, you know, you and I used
to do that all the time, move the chains, And
there was none of that when he went to him
on these four separate occasions. And you know you said,
if you would have made these four catches, it would
have been different. Dude, all he had to do was
make one. If he makes that last catch, that drive continues,
(31:21):
and there's not a damn thing Philadelphia could have done
to stop them, because they would have forced Philadelphia to
use their timeouts, and then Dallas could have positioned themselves
to go in for the winning touchdown with very little
time left on the clock and very little opportunity for
Philadelphia to win that game. So I don't need him
(31:42):
to make all four catches. I just need him to
make one. I need him to make one of those
catches to keep those drives alive, to give his offense
a chance to score points. And they scored no points
in the second half. What changed? What changed? Well, one
of the things that you was turnovers, not only turnover
(32:02):
on downs like they did to end the game, but
they had that big fumble when the running back lost
the ball. I can't Sanders. Was it Sanders that lost
the ball?
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
You know.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
And then of course shortly thereafter there was the rain delay,
and then they went into the delay and I don't
know how long that was. But regardless, man, the Cowboys
did more to hurt themselves than the Philadelphia Eagles did
to stop the Cowboys, you know, and you know, I mean,
it's just it's one of those things that it sucks
(32:37):
because the Cowboys played so well for that game, and
Philadelphia they really did have their asses handed to them,
and there was nothing that they could do or nothing
that they did do to stop the Cowboys. So, like
I said, man, he's not my eighty eight. He won't
ever be my eighty eight. I don't care what anybody says.
(33:00):
And I'm about to send you a picture of a
shirt that I designed of myself and you'll appreciate it.
What do you got, Go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Tired, bro, I am sick and fucking tired of saying, oh,
this was a team loss, and.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
This is a this and no fucking Sanders lost the
game and eighty eight lost the game.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
I'm just gonna call it like I fucking see it,
because that's what happened.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Bro.
Speaker 4 (33:24):
Yeah, Sanders had a big run a little bit before
that play, but dude, it was first fucking down.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
You're going into score to take the lead and potentially
win the game.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
I mean, I gotta give Ferguson a little bit of credit,
I mean, or discredit because he dropped the ball. But dude,
he got his head and his neck almost literally hit
clean off. You know, that's a missed opportunity. But I'm
not gonna blame him, you know, because he hadn't been
throwing the ball I think maybe more than once before that.
And I don't I don't know if it was for
(33:55):
a first down, but it was a positive play. And
that's another thing, dude. One thing I want to mention
about the run game, and I don't I don't know
if you noticed this. I don't know if you notice
it when they when they ran the ball and then
after they kind of stopped the running back, the offensive
line sort of started.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Doing kind of like a want.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
To be you know, push push type thing, and they
were just turning their legs and they moved the ball forward.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
It's almost like.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
A like a after the fact, try to push the
guy from behind type thing. And that just kept drives going,
that kept getting the ball moving forward and getting first
downs and moving the chains.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
And I'm sorry, bro.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
I don't want to apologize for these fucking teams and
the players, because it's the fucking players that let them down.
You can't fucking fumble the number one on their side
of the field. That definitely when you'reright their first and goal.
It's just at Sanders and eighty eight that cost the
fucking game. I'm going to start xing out.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
People and say, Okay, dude, you get a, you get
a You get.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
An F minus today because you fucked it up, you
fumble the ball.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
You cost the team the game.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
Because and there's another thing they should have They should
have been able to recover from that regardless because you
and I know that they were the better team that day.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
And not only that, I don't know if the Eagles
really had.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
An answer for whatever Schottenheimer was trying to do offensively,
because the run the run game was working, the passing
game was working. They didn't They didn't seem like flustered, right,
like they were in a hurry or a rush.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Until it finally got to the point where.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
Enough of those drops that eighty eight had accumulated to
a point where okay, now it's dialed up a notch
because you put yourself in that position. You know, you
should have never fumbled eighty h should have caught more
of those balls in the beginning.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
I think they could have easily have.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
Had more points in the first half, and then then
they could have easily have won the game, you know.
But again it's dropped passes from Ceedee Lamb and he
just he cost the game. Sanders cost that game because
that one turnover at a critical time.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Again, it comes back to bite you in the ass.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Well, I mean to me, yes, I mean, turnovers are
never good. I don't care when it happens in the game,
They're never good. But that Sanders turnover happened at the
point where you know, they were still in the game.
And again, it's not like Philadelphia did anything to run
away with it, you know. Obviously, the Cowboys defense made
their adjustments and did better. They're in the third quarter
(36:22):
and into the fourth, so I mean, it is what
it is. You know, him dropping those passes, man, like
one drop is bad enough. Two drops and you're like, okay, man,
come on, get it together once you got to three.
Why in the hell you kept throwing to him like that?
I have no idea, and so you know, it is
(36:45):
what it is. As far as Ferguson goes, Dude, I've
lost all confidence in that guy because Ferguson two years
ago makes that touchdown catch and then they don't get
penalized and then Sanders loses that fumble. If fergus makes
that damn catch before that hit, then it's it's it
doesn't matter, you know what I mean. He makes the catch,
(37:08):
it's a touchdown. They get the penalty on the kickoff,
and you're really putting pressure up against that damn Eagles
team to force them to really try to figure out
what they want to do, and you know, maybe you
have a chance to grab another another drive and get
another score there and go up even bigger. So you know,
and I'm not and again I can't say what that
(37:29):
feels like to get hit like that. You're right, it
jerked his neck pretty hard. It looked vicious. But again, dude,
that's part of the game, and that's what you're paid for.
You just got a damn extension. Go out there and
earn your salary, you know what I mean. Go out there, question,
go go How good was that passed to him?
Speaker 2 (37:52):
How good was it it.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
It hit him in the hands? That it hit him
in the hands. That's what I'm saying, right, I get it,
and I'm not disagreeing with you there. But that's why
I'm saying. If Ferguson makes that catch, it's a different ballgame,
because then they're up twenty seven to twenty four, and
(38:14):
you're forcing them to play different, Philadelphia to play different. Obviously,
whatever Philadelphia did after the today didn't work right because
they didn't score anymore. So it's not like they did
anything special to get away from the Cowboys. So now,
flip flip it, the Cowboys are up twenty seven to
twenty four. What is Philadelphia gonna do to stop them?
(38:38):
Because more than likely Sanders isn't touching the ball again
after that fumble. They're staying with Williams, right. Williams was
the other running back, so that's what I'm saying. I mean, yes,
I understand eighty eight had the drops. He should have
had that last one. They probably have a chance to
(39:00):
win if he makes that last reception. But how different
is the game if Ferguson catches the ball first? And
when you're the number one receiver and you're the number
one tight end and you can't handle the damn ball,
you can't make the catches when they are necessary, then
why do I have you on my team. I can
(39:22):
forgive Sanders for the fumble and tell him, look, man,
you've had a history of this shit. You've had a
history of losing the ball. If the ball isn't that
important to you, you're not important to this team. And
you can send his ass to the curb. Okay, he's
only on a one year deal. You can't do that
to Ferguson and CD because you own too much money.
(39:46):
But damn dude, y'all are the number ones. You're supposed
to be, the guys at your position that are gonna
make plays, and neither one of them did that. On
Thursday night, Dak was dialed in. You're right, Dak was
dialed in. Dak was doing what he needed to do.
But at the end of the day, the guys that
he needed to make plays didn't make plays. Your thoughts
(40:11):
on the defense, man, Like I said, I thought early on, uh,
they struggled with Hurts his mobility and being able to
kind of maneuver in the pocket, get outside the pass rush,
and get open down the field. I even posted on Facebook,
I was wondering, did the Cowboys even have linebackers playing
(40:31):
there for stretches because it didn't look like it. They
didn't look like we had anybody in the middle of
the damn field. But but it looked like they kind
of got things together there in the second half. Man,
your thoughts on the defense and the effort that they
put forth.
Speaker 4 (40:48):
They played super Bowl level to beat that team defense
enough because they You're right, they did struggle at the beginning.
But shit, dude, you gotta you gotta bring down Saquon.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
That's no easy task. And I don't know what it was, dude.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
When Hurts took off on these runs and I honestly,
the guy's twelve yards away. He puts a juke on
him and he's twelve yards away, and he's like, you
fall for it way back.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
There, and.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
Burrow like and like I said, the conspiracy theory comes
out in me. I'm like, what the fuck are you doing? Man,
why are you getting juked that far away from this quarterback?
Run to him, Run to him and then let him
make that move or whatever the hell you know? Then
did it literally happened twice and the same drive.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
I saw that same player.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
I can't remember who it was, but dude, I was like, really, like,
he's gonna juke you from that far away and you're
out of the play. You just literally took yourself out
of a play because he's a big, strong guy, and
then by the time you catch.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Up to him, it's it's too late.
Speaker 4 (41:49):
But I will say this, man, a lot of the
defensive line showed me that, Okay, they made the adjustments right,
and that's what we talked about, and that's what I
texted or posted or whatever the hell I said. Just
make the adjustments, man, shut this down. Shut that down.
And what did they do it? Shut them down? Dude,
they only got three points.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
In the third. I think that's what I'm looking at here, Philly. Yeah, dude.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
From there, it was just what goose eggs for the Cowboys,
and a lot of it was because of fucking eighty eight. Man,
I would have actually just thrown the pickings. Man, if
you're not, your head's not right, your mind is not
I want to I am, and I really and I
can't remember. There was a game too where he was
in that same funk, bro, I don't know. I can't
remember what it was. I don't know if it was
last year, the year before, the same kind of similar
(42:35):
thing happen to him, yep. And do you remember that, right?
Speaker 2 (42:39):
Do you remember that it was?
Speaker 1 (42:40):
It was in the damn it was in the damn playoffs.
It was in the damn playoffs that he started acting
like a damn brat and couldn't do anything because he
was in a fog, you know.
Speaker 5 (42:50):
So that's what I'm saying. These guys always talking about
big time player play playing big time game. You ain't
a big time player. You ain't a big time player.
What you are is a fairweather fan. What you are
is a front runner.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
You can torch this dB, you can torch that dB,
you can make all these cute little first downs with
your nose and all this other bullshit that you do.
None of that matters if you're not winning. None of
that matters if you're not clutched. None of that matters
if you can't make the play when I need it.
And so whatever this funk is that he gets into,
(43:24):
go see the sports psychologist, Go see your local priest,
Go see the Kudandetta, Go have some girls sit on
your lap to help you clear your head. I don't
know what you need to do, but whatever you need
to do, get your shit together, get it right, and
make it better so this team can win, because regardless
(43:45):
of what they lost, in my opinion, that Mica thing
is addition by subtraction. This team now understands that they
have to play as a team. They don't have to
have a superstar to win, and all it's gonna take
is for them to win a couple of games and
feel some momentum, feel good about themselves, and this thing
(44:08):
could take off. But when you have a guy like that,
that's supposed to be a leader, that's supposed to be
one of the top guys in the locker room, supposed
to be one of the top guys in the NFL,
he gets into a funk because he can't get out
of his own damn head. Like I said, go to
the good andetta, go to the priest, go to the psychologist,
go to the strip club, go to whatever you need
(44:30):
to to get it better and get it right, because
come Sunday, if you don't put up ten catches with
three touchdowns at about one hundred and fifty yards against
that sorry as secondary for New York, then we need
to start talking about trading your asses somebody else, because
I don't know, I don't know what else the Cowboys
can do to help CD be the best damn receiver
(44:53):
that he can be. You have an all time quarterback
that's in your backfield, you have the running game around you,
you have a true, a true number two receiver next
to you. What more do you want? What more do
you want? Anyway? Sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
No, you're good. You've said it all for me, dude.
And here's the funny thing that I went into CVS
the other day and I'm and I'm getting.
Speaker 4 (45:20):
Some medication, and and and I see his fucking picture
on a fantasy football thing.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
I wanted to fucking flip that thing over. Bro. I
just wanted to flip that fucking thing over.
Speaker 4 (45:32):
I was like, are you fucking kidding me of all things,
and then I just, man, Bro, my blood pressure went up,
and I was like, you're kidding me. Man, I can't
even like fucking avoid his ass anyway, I guess I
mean to me again, Dak, Dude, Man, he was putting
it on people.
Speaker 2 (45:50):
Bro, he was putting that shit. I mean, he had
what do you have to do? Throw the ball in
their pocket? I mean, what the fuck else do you
want him to do?
Speaker 1 (45:57):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (45:57):
I'm looking at the numbers, the passing, the passing yards
right here, we're what is it?
Speaker 4 (46:04):
He easily could have had three hundred, maybe three fifty
if if if eighty eight catches two of those, and
and uh, Ferguson catches that one TV and he's got
one more TV and he's in that MVP type conversation.
But I mean, his his team and his players did
him a disservice by not showing up when they needed to.
And you're right, Ferguson is right there.
Speaker 1 (46:26):
You're right.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
I tout that guy.
Speaker 4 (46:27):
Because I like him, you know, because I played tight
end myself and he should have made the play too.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
Man.
Speaker 4 (46:32):
Yeah, I know you got knocked around, and but what
the fuck do you get paid for, bro. You know,
there's there's not gonna be an easy win. You're gonna
get hit. And I had to say it, man, but
that that team was was playing dirty the whole damn game.
It didn't just start with the spit. You know, they
were doing all kinds of things to get in the
Cowboys head. And I think the coach had them pre pair.
(46:52):
They were ready. They had a chance to win. And
that's all you can ask. That's all you can ask,
because I had a lot of question marks about shoddy.
Speaker 2 (46:59):
But you know what I don't anymore.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
You know, if they could lose, they can lose all
the rest of the games, which I know, and you
know that ain't shit ain't gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
With the way Dak played.
Speaker 4 (47:08):
And if he plays like that every damn week, this
this league is in trouble, you know, because if he's
dialed in and hopefully he gets all these guys get
their shit together. By Green Bay, and I was talking
crap with David, you know, you know, we'll Leaven Church
of all places, and I gotta watch my tone.
Speaker 2 (47:24):
I'm like, hey, man, so when do your boys start and.
Speaker 4 (47:26):
Blah blah blah, and he's like well, I said, maybe
we get together watch the game, and then he's like, no, man,
I'm going to the game, and I'm like, okay, man. Well,
I don't know if he really is understanding the full
depth of how good Dak played. I think he just
saw the loss and maybe he just saw the Cowboys
implode and like, which is everybody? But I think they're
gonna be game. I think they're gonna be ready. And
(47:46):
I feel sorry for New York next week. I really
feel sorry for them, because this Cowboy team, once you
get a loss, you know, you want to bounce back
from that, and you're gonna scratch and plow claw and
play a lot harder. And I don't see anything on
the on the New York excide it's going to cause
this team any problems. And unless unless another lightning storm comes,
(48:07):
you know.
Speaker 1 (48:08):
I mean, you can't say for sure because it's still
so early in the season, and even though the Cowboys
have had great success against New York the last few years,
you just never know. But yeah, I mean I don't
see them losing. I know they opened up as a
four point favorite and that's fine, so you know, should
they win this game, yes, you know, it's the only
(48:28):
team that's going to beat the Cowboys in this instance
is the Cowboys. So if they go out there, they
play hard, they take care of business, protect the ball,
limit the penalties, and don't do anything stupid, then yeah
they should get this win. But it's just one of
those things that you that's why what is it, That's
why they call it every any given Sunday, and that's
why they play the games because you just don't know.
(48:52):
My last question, man, do you think the delay hurt them?
I mean honestly that you know what, what was thea
about forty five minutes?
Speaker 4 (49:03):
Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, it was almost an hour and
it seemed like an hour. It was a long time.
Speaker 1 (49:07):
So do you do you think that that hurt them
like it hurt their momentum?
Speaker 4 (49:14):
I think so because the Cowboys were dialed in, they
were toned.
Speaker 2 (49:18):
They were they were they were.
Speaker 4 (49:20):
Hitting on all cylinders, just like when they came out
of the half, like, Okay, now we're going to shut
this team down.
Speaker 2 (49:24):
And they were.
Speaker 4 (49:25):
They were shutting down the Eagles even better than they
were in the first half. And and that was with
you know, the little leaks, with with hurts and and
uh Barkley because they they kind of got his number. Dude,
they got Barkeley's number, and once that went down, then
then that's what you need.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
That's what you that's what your defense wants to do.
Speaker 4 (49:45):
Let's like, obviously, what's the first thing on the damn
bulletin board, right, Let's stop fucking Barkley.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
And they were shutting him down.
Speaker 4 (49:52):
They were doing it again, and they were actually they
were closing in the pocket. You know that that laying
integrity or that run integrity for the quarterback wasn't there anymore.
So they made the right adjustments and they were doing
what they needed to They just I mean, dude.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
The running game to me was solid.
Speaker 4 (50:09):
I don't think it was great obviously with the fumble,
but I mean that's that was to me the big
question mark, Okay, how is this running game gonna look
with this kind of you know what kind of new
crew of an offensive line? But to me, they're past
if you know, rushed blocking was was better than their
(50:33):
running blocking. But it wasn't like the Eagles could could
figure it out.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
You know, they just didn't know which way the.
Speaker 4 (50:41):
Cowboys were going, where there was run, whether it was pass.
Even though they maybe it was smoking mirrors them thinking
they were gonna run. But when you established that run
in the beginning like you did, all of a sudden,
hey you gotta worry about that.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
And I was pleasantly surprised.
Speaker 4 (50:57):
I'm not saying my worries are one thousand percent, you know,
okay with with the O line, but they showed me
a lot. They showed me way more than I expected.
And this was against the Eagles. Let's just say it
was somebody else, some lesser you know, tune up game
player team or whatever.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
No, this was the Eagles. These are this is the team,
this is your division, this is the champs. And they
they showed up. You know, they didn't half ass show up.
They didn't play.
Speaker 4 (51:26):
On their heels, they didn't, but they didn't get in
front of their skis.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
You know, they were right where they needed to be.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
They were in the right lanes, they were making the
right blocks, they were moving the chains, running and passing.
And to be honest, you know, Dak really didn't have
to throw a lot in the first half in my opinion.
You know, he did when he needed to. But the
run game was pretty effective. You know, it wasn't great,
but it was enough to get those first downs and
that's all you need. And they were ready. Man, they
(51:54):
were prepared. And that's the word I'm going to hammer
home with this podcasters. And they were ready. The code
had them ready. They the penalties were minimized. Hell, even
my boy Brandon, you know, let's go, Brandon hit that
long field goal. I mean, everybody was there to win
the game.
Speaker 1 (52:13):
Well, I mean I tend to agree with you in
the sense that they looked they looked very prepared. They
look much cleaner than they did at a lot of
different points over the last few years. And you know,
maybe it's just because it's a new voice in the
locker room. Maybe it's a new new tone that these
guys are being responded responsive to. I know you said that.
(52:34):
You know, Schottenheimer had reports had been that he was
trying to get the guys to learn different things and
do different things, and you know, not just think about football,
but you know, think about the community and the life
and everything that comes with it. So maybe that message,
maybe that message has struck a chord and it's made
things better. We'll see, man. You know, I said it.
(52:55):
I said it enough. I'll continue to say it. Until
this team is about winning, I'm not gonna fully invest
because you know, it's it's been thirty years, dude, thirty
damn years that we've seen that we've seen not only
(53:16):
not only not see Super Bowl Sunday, but we haven't
seen NFC Championship Sunday in thirty damn years. So you
know that's that's more than my lifetime. You know, that's
double my lifetime, you know. And it shouldn't be this way.
We're not the Browns, We're not the Colts. We're not
the damn Texans. We're not the Jaguars, the Lions. We're
(53:41):
not these franchises, man that are never bins or never
will be's or has beens or things like that, you
know what I mean. These are the damn Dallas Cowboys.
So as as much as Thursday night was fun, as
much as it was kind of good to see the
effort and the opportunities that were there that they were
(54:02):
taking advantage of, there's still a lot of things that
need to be corrected. There's still a lot of stuff
that I'm going to wait and see before I get
too excited about what they are. Were they prepared for
this game? Yes, that they look good. Yes, Now will
it translate to this next week when you're playing a
lesser team, when you're playing a team that you know
(54:25):
you should be, when you're playing a team that doesn't
bring that same type of vitriol out of you like
this like the Eagles do. We'll see, We'll see what
noon on Sunday looks like in comparison to what last
Thursday look like. Anything else before we wrap this up?
Speaker 4 (54:41):
Man, no, sir, man and manxious to see what they
do next week, and let's go Dak you got this, bro.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
Well, I'm glad to see for back in the backfield.
I'm glad to see him back on the field. I
was tired of seeing him posting instagrams with his hot
wife and you know, his adorable kids. I was tired
of seeing that ship. So I need to see him
more on the field and on social media. Uh So
we'll see, man, Maybe maybe things will maybe things will
(55:15):
continue and he'll have one of those big seasons and
maybe an MVP season like we talked about on the
other episode. But at the end of the day, Man,
it sucks. They lost. Let's rebound, let's get let's get
this thing this next week and uh, you know, let's
even up the record, even up the division record, and
be ready to roll and move down the line because,
(55:35):
like you say, there's some big games on this schedule. Bro.
That that first truly big game is that is that
Sunday night against that freaking team from up north. So
in that put green uniform that has to roll into Dallas.
But that's we'll talk about that garbage when we when
we get to it. So anyway, Uh, that's all I got, dude,
(55:56):
So we'll see, we'll see how it goes this week Cowboys,
big big game against the Giants on Sunday. Fan Poll
Sports a true tech sports podcast for a true tex
sports fan. Once again, this has been Ronnie, that's Mark,
and we're out.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
Peace.
Speaker 1 (56:10):
Peace,
