Speaker 3 (00:25):
Back at it, whoo under this beautiful Monday evening, under
the trees as the sun sets to the west, an
old glory waving over my shoulder, as America's team, the
Dallas Cowboys put an utter ass whooping on dan Quinn

(00:51):
and the Washington Redskins. I said what I said. I'm
not changing it. I'm not pc I'm not doing what
they say because to him, with the commanders, the football team,
the politicians, whatever, whatever, whatever moniker you have underneath Washington,
to hell with all of y'all, because the.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Steamrolled them sons of bitches yesterday in a huge, huge,
huge win. Back at it, of course, with the main man,
the double Nickel, himself, the legend in his own mind,
and for this episode only the dan Quinn look alike

(01:36):
as he has his glasses on and they had turned backwards.
My good friend, my longtime friend, Mark Ramirez, Welcome back
to the program, buddy.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
I don't looad to one.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Oh yes, and also back to you run on the
Latin half Red or the South Texas half Reed, the
man that is all gas and no breaks because he
comes with all the good takes and also has got
to say we're going to the super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Oh my god, yeah, the super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Geez yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
If you hear the opening to this thing, you know
the tribute that I played to Mark, the man, the myth,
the legend, himself, the best DJ in the business, DJ Bob,
my great friend, my good friend, another longtime friend Israel.
And uh, I don't know if Scotty has said that
just yet, but maybe he has shout out to you,

(02:33):
Scotty and someone that we've never mentioned on this show,
but she did have a hot take when we were
discussing the Cowboys a few weeks ago. Monica, you and Joe,
I know you're thinking super Bowl, but uh, let's pump
the breaks. I do have a lot of takes, but
let's pump the breaks just a little bit, because there

(02:55):
was a lot of good that came out of Dallas yesterday.
But I'm not quite ready to start talking playoffs playoffs
for the Cowboys before we start talking super Bowl. So
give me your impressions. Man, what did you think of
the game. I told you I was gonna watch just
long enough to either stay entertained or get pissed off

(03:16):
and leave early.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
And I was entertained.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Your thoughts on what you saw yesterday afternoon, they're in.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Big d.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I mean, the biggest and the strongest and the widest
standout is Puro Guatro bro I mean, I mean number
four yesterday and if you don't know his name, it's
dak Coda Rain Prescott just came into his home stadium

(03:46):
and he just took over.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
He was I'm not saying he could do no wrong,
but yesterday he was near perfect.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
He was signing his receivers.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
And I'm gonna start the chant today and and I'm
not gonna fucking.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Apologize, but m v P type player in the league.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I think he is the best quarterback in the NFL
at this time, no questions asked. He's the man. I mean,
he showed. He showed you, I mean pretty much anything
and everything. He put the ball in a lot of
people's hands. Even I don't even think it mattered that
CD Lamb was there. It was just a performance man.

(04:29):
That And it's not just yesterday, It's been pretty much
almost every game, with the exception of that debacle in Chicago.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
But man, dude, he put on.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
The show and man and it's and it's it's a
long time coming to get the respect that he needs
and deserves. And I'm hoping that all these haters out
there can just shut the f up about Dak.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I mean, you know, I have to agree with you, man,
I mean, he put on a hell of a performance,
came out.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Strong to start the game.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
I wasn't I wasn't too thrilled about them calling that
draw play for the Redskins to get that safety there
in the end zone, you know, and in situations like that.
And maybe it's because I've never been an offensive coordinator
and I've never been a coach, and maybe it's because
you know, I'm sitting on my couch and there on
the sideline. But you're backed up like that unless you

(05:26):
got Tony dor set about to run nine to nine
and a half, like Dandy down said.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Uh, chuck, chuck it up in the air. Man.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
You got CD, you got Pickings, you got Turpin. That
that would be the best spot for Perkins. I think
to uh, to you know, have a chance to spread
that defense and take off down the field, you know.
So to me, I mean, I agree with you. Can't
say that he didn't do any wrong. There was a
few plays there that I thought, uh, you know, he

(05:58):
could have made better decisions or throw But man, it's
hard to critique that performance.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Dude. He was on. He was on all day long.
You know, he was so on.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
It's like having teenagers in your house because none of
them kids know how to turn off a damn light
because they don't pay no bills.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
So you know, he was on. He was on like
that yesterday.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Okay, so he he really, he really put it together, man,
And you know, somebody said it today.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
I don't know. I think it.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
I think it may have been may have been to
Marcus Spears, you know, swagou there on NFL Live on ESPN.
He said it, Man, this might be the best group
of skill player talent that Dak has ever played with.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
It's hard to argue it. Man.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
You got CD, you got Pickings, you got Ferguson, you
got Williams, you got that offensive line. I mean, you know,
schoonmakers in there made some plays. There was an other
lipkey siding shout out to the to the full back
to lip key, you know, another big lipkey siding. I
think I think they're gonna start to gain some more
confidence with.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Jaden Blue.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I think he's gonna become more of a factor in
this thing. So, I mean, there's so much talent on
this team offensively. Man, how Dak was able to spread
that ball around keep everybody happy, so to speak, was
pretty damn impressive. I got to give him a lot
of credit. He's done a lot of wonderful things so far,

(07:33):
and I think a lot of it has to do
is that he's finally found a piece, you know, in
his in his life and in his mental you know,
we talked about mental toughness before.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
We've talked about mental health before.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Dak's gone through some things over the course of his career,
and even some things before he started off as a
Cowboys quarterback. So to see him playing this well, to
see him putting it together right now, I'm with you, man,
Let's start it. Let's start the chant, MVP, MVP. Let's
go ahead and put it out there for right now.

(08:07):
He remains to be Dak. That's what he'll be on
this program until he does something stupid, and then I
have to go back to calling him Dakota Rain Prescott
Shody shout out to Shady, called a very good game,
put a good game plan together. He did admit though,

(08:28):
he got a little greedy in that second quarter and
Dak took a few more hits than he should have.
How much more balance do you want to see from
this offense? Dak threw the ball about thirty times yesterday.
I want to say, Williams got what twenty touches. That's
pretty balanced for an offense. Man, How much more balance

(08:49):
do you want to see to kind of keep the
pass rushers off of Dak and give Williams a few
more touches in that backfield.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
I'm right there with you, man.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
You know, we always have been talking about it pretty
much every podcast this year. And when it comes to Williams, man,
he keeps just man. He keeps trucking people. Man, he
keeps making plays, he gets you know, he makes big
plays at the big moments. It's not just that he's
making big plays.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
You and I know, right.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
I mean a lot of people make big plays and
then an offense can sputter right. But Williams has shown
me so much this year, bro, and I think I'm
starting to realize what the identity is. The identity is
more pass centric and I hate saying that, but it's
just slightly above that running game. And you're right, man,
I noticed. I really noticed it yesterday when you said,

(09:40):
as the game goes on and the quarters in the
minutes start to pile up on the defense, Williams just
gets stronger.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Man.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
And he doesn't. He doesn't just dip out of bounds.
He doesn't go down easy. Hell, I mean, he's just
a tough guy.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
You haven't seen nobody go down easy since high school.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Man, you haven't seen nobody go down easy since high school.
Let's settle down over there, let's settle down. But you're right,
you're right. I mean, you know you're you're on point, dude.
I mean, he he's gonna hit you. He's gonna hit you. Man,
he's gonna he's.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Gonna hit you. You know he's he likes the contact. And
you're right, dude. I think as the games continue to progress,
you're gonna see that. And that's why I think it's
so important for Jaden Blue to really start getting acclimated
to what he needs to do to be in that
backfield more consistently. Man, because they're gonna need that, you
know when especially when they go on the road. You know,

(10:35):
they still have a few road games later and later
in the season that are gonna.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Be pretty tough road games. Man.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Uh, you're gonna need that to really to really keep
the other offense off off the off the field.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
You know.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
But when that running when that passing game may not
be hitting. Uh so well, so yeah, you're gonna need
that running game.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
I know the.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Cowboys have have brought Malik Davis up from the practice
squad so we could see I'm Elik Davis siding.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
You know, he's been with the Cowboys off and on
the last few seasons. Uh So yeah, man, I think
I think the running game just continues to build like
they are. You know, I'd like to see I'd like
to see about twenty five twenty seven touches for the
running backs and and throw Lipkey in there. Man, if
you're gonna throw him the ball on a screenplay, if
you're gonna give him a couple of short yardage runs,

(11:24):
throw him in there, give him a chance, you know
what I mean. Like I told you before, I'm not
I'm not saying give the guy twenty touches. No, I'm
not telling you to give Lipkey twenty touches. You can
sprinkle him in there. Three to five plays, man, I'm
all for it. And he makes plays. You're right, he
makes plays, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (11:41):
So what what? Okay?

Speaker 3 (11:45):
So you talked about Williams. He talked about the big play.
You talked about how you know he had that explosive
run there before the half.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Dude, I mean, could Dak have.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Thrown a prettier ball for Pickings to catch over his
shoulder at the art of that drive? I mean, come on, man,
come on, man, that's that's that's drop it in the bucket,
you know what I mean. I mean, Colonel's Colonel Sanders
would have loved for somebody to drop the chicken in
that bucket that well, like.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
That's how much?

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Which?

Speaker 3 (12:16):
By the way, which, by the way, KFC, bring the
damn bucket back? Okay, this box, this box, chicken? That
ain't y'all bring the damn bucket back. Okay, that's another
that's another subject for another time. But all I'm saying is, dude,
that pass was tremendous and I may have mentioned it
to you. I may have mentioned it to the Broski,

(12:38):
I'm not exactly sure. I don't know that the Cowboys
have had a more athletic wide receiver than what George
Pickson Pickens is. Dez was incredible, he had his moments,
but dude, Pickens just seems to be so much more athletic,

(12:58):
especially against these small defenders. Talk to me about the
wide receivers, man, what you saw in Pickens? And how
did you think CD looked? Again, not my E eight,
but I mean CD, CD had CD had some big
plays yesterday.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
I'll give him credit.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
He looked pretty sharp. Your thoughts on the wide receivers,
Pickens and CD.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
I'm gonna start work with a little bit like you
mentioned a few minutes ago, because I just can't do
it without mentioning them. The offensive line, bro, we got
to talk about that offensive line.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
I remember when guys started.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Going down, maybe went down, and all of a sudden,
you know that feeling in the back of your neck,
You're like, oh, crap, man, here's another season.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Here we go again.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Here's another Dak running for his life, or Dak only
having like a second and a half to release the ball.
And I mean all that kind of doubt and worry
is fucking long gone now, dude. I'm like, wow, this
this group and maybe it's just maybe it's the head coach, man,
maybe it's you know, we talked about it next man
up in the.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Past, but I don't think it's that. I think there
is that.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Accountability and that you know, hanging with that block and
giving Dak that time because think about him, man, there's
sometimes where he has to throw it down that field
and he needs that extra half second, which I mean,
like it's an eternity, you know, when when you're the
quarterback back there, that offensive line is just I think
they're playing I'm not gonna say elite level, but they're

(14:24):
playing so well enough man, that they're that they're putting
this team.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
On the map now.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
And you know there'll be elite when they start winning
a few more games. And you gotta you gotta shout
out to the set offensive lineman because they're just they're
just playing balls out.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Man.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
I'm with you there on Pickens, man, I mean, he's
not just a happy surprise. He's just been playing like
like him and Dak have known each other, you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Like me and when me used to be out there
in the street. Bro. You know, I'm like, I know
where Ronnie's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
He's gonna run seven steps, he's gonna come back, or
he's gonna be there, or I'm gonna throw it over
his right shoulders, left shoulder, And I mean, dude, it
was just him and him and Dak just have this
connection that I can't explain it just like it's meant
to be. And you're right about his athleticism. The best
thing I can kind of, I guess compare to is
remember watching uh remember watching Just Man. Who was it

(15:17):
like Marcus Allen? You know, Marcus Allen was a running
back and he was kind of like a longer body, right,
he had longer legs, and he just had this like
kind of smooth kind of just flow to him, right yeah, man,
he just it was like a stylish kind of run.
And that's just what he does.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Man.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
He has this kind of style to him and this
flow that that it just looks like it's supposed to
be like that, even though it's a crazy awkward like
catch or it's over his shoulder, and he disguises it well.
And and in that past, I think you're talking about
it went right before the half, right, yeah? Or that
other one?

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Well, actually, which one are we talking about? The one?

Speaker 2 (15:58):
The song was in his eyes too, you know that
damn dreaded you know sunlight. It looks like he was
running that route right. What was it They had like
what fifty seconds? Forty seconds? Yeah, and dude, that put
that ball right on the money and right before he
caught it. I don't you notice the sun was like
literally right in his space. But it didn't matter, you know,

(16:18):
because he's prepped. He was ready, and he made that catch.
And I can't believe they just took it down so quick,
and they just took that over and then then then
that was the air attack and then there was the
ground attack with Williams, and it was just that's when
I knew, and I knew at that point, I said, Okay,
there's no way that Washington wins this game if we're
making these catches. And we got and we got Lamb back,

(16:39):
and Williams is kind of having his way this early.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
This team's going to have a lot of problems.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
And and I will say this, they did have the lead,
I want to say at the five minute and change mark.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
After that weird that weird safety and then they took
the lead. But after that, dude, they never looked back.
It was just okay, you had your luck, you had
your fun.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
You know, the sunshine showing on the dogs ass type
play happened, and then the Cowboys just bam.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
They put their foot there. You know, I'm talking about
you putting the foot on the gas. Dude.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
They just shifted into fourth gear and then in the
second half is shifted into fifth and yeah, there was
a few hiccups here and there, but I mean Dak
has dialed in the play calling. You're right, is semi
you know, elite level there. But I mean you can't
you can't deny the results, man, of whatever Dak and
the coach have and the offensive coordinators and whatever he

(17:36):
does in that quarterback room. Dude, they are playing to
Dak's strengths and they're giving him that time. And another
thing I want I want to mention about Dak before
talking about the receivers is he's he's moving around in
that pocket.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
I don't even know that I think that one to
CD right that that real long on the seventy five yarder,
he kind of does this little till he goes right.
Then he kind of shifts and dances a little bit
left's he's using the blockers.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Like he should.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
And man, I said, dang, you know he's seeing it, bro,
he sees it, he lets it go, and I mean
if it I mean, I didn't expect the touchdown. Obviously,
we didn't expect the touchdown of that. But man, yeah,
him CD and Pickings, Uh my boy, first down, first down. Man,
he's he's making catches. He has he has two, you know.
I mean, it's just dude, I mean, yeah, lipkey sighting

(18:25):
and I'm like, man, it's like, it's it's great to see, man,
Because yesterday was I think a good example of okay,
when stuff starts clicking and getting put together. I mean,
I mean I mentioned it at the beginning of the season, right,
I said, could they be the best duo for the moment?
They can't be, because you know, the CD has been
out for a minute. But I think they can get
there real quick if they If this connection, these connections

(18:45):
that Dak has with them continue to go on for
the rest of the season.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
Did I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
I don't know that there's a better tandem. I mean,
even with CD just coming back, I don't know that
there's a better set of wide receivers, pair of wide
receivers right now in the league that are on a team,
you know what I mean. Like I mean, I know
that there are some, don't get me wrong. I know
there's someone out there teams that I don't follow. But man,
you'd be hard pressed. You'd be hard pressed to to

(19:11):
really get me, to convince me that there's better two
better wide receivers in the league. Here, I'm gonna give
you another I'm gonna give you another nickname for your boy, Ferguson.
You know, we call him first Down Ferguson. He makes
a lot of those plays, and he did that yesterday,
had a couple of big first downs. Keep drives alive.

(19:32):
But you know he's he's been getting in that end zone. Man,
he's been, he's been, you know, getting them touchdowns. So
we're gonna call him t D. Fergie. So that way,
you know, you can you can have another nickname to
celebrate him with, you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
So we'll call him, We'll call him t D.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Fergie because you know he's playing a big role over
the last few weeks, dude, dude, twenty touchdown passes for
Dak over the last four weeks or five weeks something
like that, with knock on wood, no turnovers, and that's
what what is the thing we've talked about the last
few seasons with Dak holding on the ball too long,

(20:12):
you know, not protecting the ball, trying to throw passes
into tight windows that he didn't have to, and it
would cause some of these turnovers. And then we know,
we know, uh, you know, a few years ago, some
of those turnovers could have been avoided if some guys
wouldn't have, you know, just tipped the ball, or if
they would have just snagged it like they were supposed to,
a lot of different reasons for turnovers and interceptions, man,

(20:34):
but Dak has done a very good job of protecting
the ball. And I think when when that comes from
the leader at the top and he's he's given the
example of how valuable that ball is, that just trickles
down to the rest of the team. You know, we
had that, we had that issue in Chicago. Williams had
that big fumble early on in that game. But ever

(20:56):
since there, man, you see him wrapping up, you see
him put two hands on the ball whenever he's going down.
So a lot of positives when it comes to how
the Cowboys offense has has taken care of some business. Hey,
I'm not saying not to fire Matt Eberfluse because I
don't want to get excited over one game.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
You know, the Redskins didn't have both of their leading.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Wide receivers yesterday, but even if they did, I don't
know that they had enough to keep up with the
Cowboys offense. What they did yesterday defensively was pretty impressive.
They they kept a lot of pressure on the Washington quarterbacks,
They contained the running game pretty well, and Durron Bland

(21:44):
looked so much more comfortable in man to man coverage
than he did in the zone coverages that ebra Flus
had been rolling out these first few weeks.

Speaker 4 (21:54):
Talk about the defense, talk.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
About Bland, how how exciting was that to see him
pop into the sunlight, so to speak, and run that
thing back for a pick six? What were your thoughts
on the defense and to Ron.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Bland, Man, if you didn't think that the game was
over before that, I mean, I don't know what game
you were watching, but that was I think that was
the final nail in the coffin.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
And somebody was throwing.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Out earlier on some something I was watching, and the
Cowboys could have scored sixty and this and that and whatever,
and maybe he was just talking out.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Of his ass, but I kind of started thinking about it.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
I said, yeah, man, you know they might have because dude,
they once, once, once Mariota came in, the defense had
already established its dominance in that game.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
And I never thought I would say that about a
Cowboys defense, but for this year, not not you know,
past years, but I mean what they dialed in yesterday
and whatever, that's the schemes were. The linebackers were finally
making tackles and kind of the spots they needed to be. Yeah,
that guy might have still gone a little bit forward,
but at least he would slow the guy down. And

(23:03):
it wasn't eight nine ten yard chunks like it's been
in the blast how many games already. But I mean, Murray,
I could see his number there, like he was involved
in a lot of those, and they were solo tackles,
and they were open field tackles, and even if they
weren't open field tackles, they were there. And then they
gave that time for the next guy to come, and

(23:25):
then they closed the gap and then they would they
would take them down and they would shut down those
third down conversions.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
And that was that was to me the pleasant surprise.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
This is what we've been wanting, you know, and it's
and it's and it was happening like in real time yesterday.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
It was And I think, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Man?

Speaker 2 (23:41):
The last the games before this one, A lot of it.
I think it's more of a on the job training
kind of thing. It looks like because hey, where was
I supposed to be or where was I supposed to go?

Speaker 3 (23:50):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (23:50):
That was my man.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
A lot of that was still kind of going on
here and there in the game yesterday. But the run,
they made a conscious separate to stop that run. And
I don't know if you noticed this, and I noticed
it kind of in the middle of the second quarter
and kind of going into the second uh second half. Uh,
the quarterback just the defense was just seeming to like

(24:14):
have his number. I think they were in his head
because he started making throws that they were kind of
on target and they were there and the.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Timing was just just off.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
And then that's when I knew that the defense had
already established its dominance in his brain.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
They were they were in between his ears. And I mean.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Daniels, I mean, let's let's be honest, man, he's a
really good quarterback. You know, let's let's not call an
apple and orange right now. And he's a he's a
solid QB. Until he got hurt, he was having a
decent game. But I don't know if you noticed a
lot of those third down conversions stopped happening because he
was even throwing it too hard. Because I could hear

(24:53):
the footsteps, he could feel the defense, and that's what
that's what you want, even if they're not getting there,
they're in your head and you feel it. And that
that turnover kind of showed it. And then I guess
that's when he got hurt, right, So that that's what
I want. You know, you don't have to be the elite,
get a get a dang sack every two sacks every quarter.
You don't have to do all these things. Just stick

(25:15):
to whatever the game plan was. And I'm gonna pull up.
I should be playing that that uh that expiles music
because there's there's a weird conspiracies.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Man.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
I'm hearing a lot of weird things about Trayvon Diggs.
I just think what really happened was his wife probably
got ahold of him with a with a cast iron
pan because he did something wrong. I don't know, bro,
but dude, that him not being there, him not being there,
and then whatever jentlemans they had to make to not
have him there was was what the Cowboys needed. You know,

(25:45):
you've said it before, right, addition by subtraction. So if
you take away a guy like that that is supposed
to be dominant, he's supposed to be shut down kind
of guy, and this and that and whatever. But if
he's lost a step and he you know it, just
everybody knows but him, that's not a good thing. And
him not being in there forced the hand right of
whatever the abral Fluce was trying to do. And it

(26:07):
was effective, you know. And I mean, yeah, they held
him to twenty two points, and twenty two points is still,
you know, a good score, but dude, you doubled him,
and because your team is just that much better on
the other side of the ball. And of course, man,
we got to talk about it, my man, you know,
big time. And he, dude, he delivered as well, dude.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
I mean you know again, I mean just for the
fact that you have at one time what many were
thinking was the best corner in the league. And I
know he suffered some injuries the last few seasons, but
like you said, man, they had to make the adjustments
because he wasn't there and then look what happened. You know,

(26:48):
the best the best defensive game, you know, as far
as the passing game that the Cowboys have played all season, you.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Know, and it's it's it's gonna like I said, it's.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Gonna be one of those things that you know, we're
gonna be frustrated with them one week like we were
last week. Then we're gonna sing sit here and sing
their praises because of what they did yesterday this week.
But you know, it's one of those things that I
get it. You know, the fan in us wants to
fire the coach because they suck and all this, that
and the other. Then we want to sit here and

(27:20):
be like, man, this guy's a badass, and this that
and the other. You got to make the adjustments, man,
and they did. They made a huge adjustment yesterday and
it paid off big time. They go to Denver this weekend,
and you know, you talked about it before we started recording.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
This Denver team. This Denver team.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Showed a lot of heart yesterday. They they hung in there.
I want to say, they scored thirty points in the
fourth quarter, like twenty of them, thirty three thirty three
in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Fourth quarter and at the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
Jeez ude, the New York the New York Football Giants
are not as bad as the New York Football Jets,
but damn dude.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
That's a that's awful.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
How do you lose a nineteen point lead like that
in fifteen minutes and you can't stop them from getting
into field goal range.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
I mean, that's wild to me.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
But they're gonna need this defense, this same effort from
this defense this next week because Bo Nicks, I mean
he's not I'm not calling him a top ten quarterback yet.
This kid's got some fight in him, he's got some
grit in him, he's got he's got some of those
intangibles that you like to see.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Man, he can make plays.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
So this defense is gonna have to come ready to
get after it. And you know, and they're gonna need
to use a lot of guys because you know as
well as I do. These teams go to the to
the the mountains there in Denver, and that elevation, that
elevation ain't no joke, you know what I mean. So, uh,

(29:01):
they're gonna they're gonna need the same type of effort
this week. Uh, going up against the Broncos and stuff offensively,
man attack, attack, attack, Let Dax sling it, give Williams
the ball, pound that Denver defense into submission, and then
you know, get out of there with a win. Because
when you look at the Cowboys schedule the next few weeks, dude,

(29:22):
it's manageable Denver. This week, they got the Cardinals next month,
that following Monday night on November third, Dude, we're.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Almost into November. Son of a gun.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Oh here he comes, here he comes, because for his
fifteen minutes of fame. You know, yes, I'm talking about you,
you cough guide, son of a no good goat, son
of anyway, the uh they got they got the Cardinals
on the third, and then they have a bye week

(29:56):
and then they play the in Vegas on the seventeen.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
So winnable games here, man, the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
This is where the Cowboys need to start stacking wins.
Start stacking wins and do what you need to do
because when they get into late November into December, dude,
they've got a three game stretch here, the Eagles, the
Chiefs on Thanksgiving when you're going up to see Taylor Swift,

(30:25):
I know, then the Lions, then the Lions in Detroit.
So three back to back games coming off the bye week, man,
that are gonna be huge for this team. That's why
I say they have to stack the wins.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
Now. They got one.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
Yesterday, they need to get They need to get the
one in Denver, and then they need to go ahead
and get the one in Arizona against Arizona and then
against the Raiders. Get about a three or four game
win streak going, man, and see where we are here
in a few weeks.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
As they get ready to play Philadelphia. Uh.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
In the rematch from earlier this season, I like what
I saw. I was totally entertained. I was engaged for
that whole game up until up until that Dern Bland interception.
And then that's when I text you and I was like, Okay,
I'm done because there was really nothing left for me
to watch at that point. You know what I mean,
so I mean, that's that's that was pretty much the day.

(31:28):
Look at you, you son of a gun. He just
up here, He just up here like he owns Dude.
These damned animals don't pay no money to this house.
They bring nothing to the table, but they'll stand.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
Look. Let me show you. Let me show you.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Look, he will stand on my table like he owns it. Yes, look,
look say say hello, say hello.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
You've made, you have made. You have.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Cow bell.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
That's the other one. The other one has the bell. Look,
let me show you where she at. Look she's over there,
she's got the bell.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Yeah, dude, Yeah, that that's that's what I gotta live with. Okay,
it's time for you to get down. Either that or
youre getting squirted in the face with his water hose.
I told you it was gonna happen. That hell off
of my table.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
That's that's what I deal with, exactly, only in Texas.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Yeah, I got a question, what are your thoughts on
I mean, the legends they were there on the sideline, man,
Because when they started showing little clippets and little snippets
of the guys that were there, you know, obviously number
twelve was there and they kind of did what that
little recreation of the of.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
The I'm really I need to make a video so
y'all can see the ship that I'm putting up with,
because it would be it would.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
Look here's the other one. Look look, look, look, look look.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
Just too Golts hanging out, Just too golt hanging out. Anyway,
My my reaction this guy, you have thought, my reaction
to that, dude, is I loved it.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
I love I love when these teams.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
I mean, I know, obviously Cowboys, that's that's our team.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
We love. We love seeing those guys.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
I think it's really cool that these NFL teams do
that have some sort of homecoming uh game for their
for their former players and stuff. I thought it was amazing.
I thought it was awesome to see not only like
recent guys like Dez.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
You know, Dez was there.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
I think vander esh was there, uh, but then to
see some of the old timers, like you say, them
recreating celebrating fifty.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
Years of the Hail Mary. You know, Drew.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Pearson still out there with Captain America himself. Let's let's
not confuse who the real Captain America is Okay, he
still wears twelve. He's still the best quarterback in the building.
And I bet you anything, dude, I saw him. I
saw him winding up the.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
Arms a couple of times.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
I think he really was trying to get Drew down
the field.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
But man, I thought it was amazing. Hey, dude, I'm
just saying, we were there. We were there. You weren't.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
We were get off of us. But I thought it
was amazing, dude. I thought it was really cool to
see those guys, Dude, Jim, Jeffcote, Tony.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Tobert, uh to see us. Uh.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
It was ironic because Ken Norton was there, but he's
one of the coaches for the Redskins, but he was
in the building. You know, you had the nineties Cowboys
defense in the building. That was cool to see.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
You know.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Darren Woodson was in the building. Tony Dorset was in
the building, Emmitt Smith, you know all of those guys. Uh,
it was just it was great, dude. I loved it.
I loved every second of it. Anytime those guys can
show up, you know, to a game, be on the sideline,
or be featured in some way, I think that's really cool.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Like I said, I think it's.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Really neat that the NFL does this type of thing
with their teams and their and hopefully they can continue
to do it for years to come, because all it did, man,
was bring out more Cowboy pride, and like I told you,
all I wanted to see was the Cowboys beat them
damn Redskins.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
And boy did they.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Forty four twenty two double them up. Like you said,
I mean it was. It was fun to watch. I'm glad.
I'm glad I sat there and watched most of that
game because you know, anytime that beautiful blue star is
going up and down the field and there's nothing that
them damn scum sucking suckers from Washington can do to.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
Stop it, that's a good thing. Man. You got anything
else before we wrap this thing up? Buddy?

Speaker 2 (35:43):
No, man alls, I got to say, man is we're
going to the super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Man, I tell you what, I don't know. I don't
know what.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Like I told you before, Man, every time y'all say that,
I feel like Florida Evans.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
Damn damn, That's how I feel when you guys start
talking about it. Because I don't want to say nothing
until we make the playoffs and then maybe we have
a different discussion. But we got to get to the
playoffs first. Okay, we got to get there first anyway.

Oh yeah, shout out to the goats.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
