bridal Fall twenty twenty five roundup from Fashion Reverie Style
editor Ranessa Olds. We also have Fashion Reverie Associate editor

Fall twenty twenty four collections. But let's start with fashion news.
All of our news segments are based on fashion news

(01:07):
alerts found on Fashion revere dot com.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
So let's jump into the current events in fashion. I
am going to start off with Edie is Theman announcement
of his departure from Selene. We love Selene, It's a
beautiful brand and he's been with them for a while
and has since introduced the menswear couture and high end perfumery.

(01:32):
So because of his influence, Selene sort of received got
this new boost and the refreshment as a brand and
a great foundation for the future. So the brand did
become very large as it always was in the past,

(01:55):
but it just changed a little bit of the look
and the approach. So let's see what is next and
who is going to come to Selene, But also where
is Eddie going to go? Because you know there are
some rumors that he might go to Chanel, but never know.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
So well, I do love Selene, so just in case
anyone from Selene is ever watching us, and they never
need to send us things to where I'm excited. So
I am excited to talk about the theme for the
twenty twenty five met Gala. Now, as we know, each
year there is a new and exciting theme, and this

(02:41):
year it will be about Black dandyism, about the history
and the fashion influence. And this is a cultural shift
where black individuals transformed with greater autonomy and became much
more influential across the globe. And this is one of
the first times that the met gal will present an
exhibit showcasing the work of fashion designers of color and

(03:06):
menswear is also going to be a focus. The co
chairs of the Mett Galal the Anawin Tour Farrell Williams, Coleman, Domingo,
Lewis Hamilton and Asab Rocky, And it seems like it's
going to be very, very exciting. I think it's going
to be fresh, and I'm excited to see, you know
what gorgeous things we get to see. Hopefully we'll just

(03:27):
be in attendance.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Right Well, Matt Galay is always very exciting and one
of the former very exciting shows was Victoria's Secret show
that kind of went silent for a little bit. So
next week in New York City, they will debut the

(03:49):
Victoria's Secret to Tellier and Joseph Altuzzara has a new job,
so he will be the first guest designer in residence
for a big Torria's Secret Attilie is So we will
see how this show will look like. Everyone is very
curious and you know, we will see which direction they're

(04:15):
going to take. I do think you definitely have to
keep some of their old elements that you know, Victoria's
Secret is known for. I hope they do bring Victoria's
Secret angels. Uh, let's see in which form.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
So yeah, yeah, well it's all very exciting. That is
it for us this week for the fashion news. But
if you want to stay up to date, you know
where to go, go to fashion reverie dot com. I
am so excited to introduce Vernesta oles and we I
love Bridal Week, So Vernesta, That's why I'm sure, that's

(04:52):
why I get to talk to you, because I'm always
I love I loved being a bride. I love looking
at things related to rides every year, so I'm excited
to get into Fall twenty twenty five. What was your
overall impression would you say of New York Bridal Week
Fall twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Thank you, Cecily, I'm so happy to even be on
to discuss it. I too, from a child, love bridal,
all things Brital, everything pretty, everything, feminine, floating gal. I
love attending Bridal Fashion Week just to see the collections,
just to see the luxury, just to drink champagne, just
to walk around and be the element right because it's

(05:32):
a different feeling for New York Fashion Week. So my
overall thoughts of it beauty, luxury, sophistication, femininity, all things pretty.
So I'm just right in my element.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Just you're talking about it just makes me feel like
I'm also feeling that bridal week like it is. It
is just a very it's very special and there's there's
that feminity, femininity and elegance that you get to see
is so lovely. Could you talk about Yulia Lobatchova's Fall
twenty twenty five bridal collection.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
It was absolutely stunning. It was gorgeous, a standout collection
full of three D laser cuts, huddles of sheer splits
all the way up the leg. I wanted to say
thig high, but I think they were even a little
bit past thigh high side for a little coverage. But

(06:35):
you better be toning up and working out to stick
that leg out in some of her goals. So it
was it was just a gorgeous collection, very modern, very young,
very fresh, very sexy, edgy and it like money our
ic h is what collection like that.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Is so great? But you know it depends on that.
That's one of the things about being a bride and
for you know, as an individual, it's a chance for
you to really express what you want to show off.
And so for those that are bringing a little sex
appeal and they want to show off a little leg
or a little you know is I liked it with skin,
but there was still like a little coverage where you

(07:16):
choose a certain dress, do you.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Because it was the split wasn't directly in front, it
was off to the sign. You know, you have some
you are covered. But if you took a walk off,
you just kind of turned the wrong way. You were
going to get a nicer Yeah, then you could.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Show off a little bit, you know, give give him,
give him, give the future spouse a little hints of
what they're gonna get. Let's pivot to the I'm not
sure is that I didn't Cohen Cohen, Yes, okay, I
didn't Cohen.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Great, So I love he is a darling. He's become
a fair favorite. Everyone is always looking for to see
his show. Initiar's collection was inspired by the Greek goddess
and thea Whose goddess of gardens. And you saw that
in the collection. There was floating, there was florals, there

(08:10):
was sheer, there were beautiful silhouettes, and all of that
translated into materials that he chose to use for his classmanship,
like crapes and lace and silks and all the giazza,
all the luxury materials that you look forward to seeing
in a goal, but just constructing it in such a
way that it didn't look stiff and heavy. It looked aerie.

(08:33):
It looked goddess like, very floating.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yes, well, I guess if you are looking for a
goddess like dressed, that might be this collection might bear
you with. Look. Lastly, can you give me your impression
of the nardos Fall TWI Frider collection.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
She is a you know when we hear now us
where we see the invitation listen to guests, lists of like, oh,
I hope I can invite a s anartis I hope
I get in invited? Tonatus The collecture was studying as usual.
It kind of felt familiar, like something that we before.
It gave you vintage, it gave you retrospective, and you

(09:13):
spoke about that earlier, like loving vital says a young girl,
and that's what you see on I. But I saw it.
I was like, I love this, I've always loved this.
This is my dream dress. But it also felt fresh
and modern, so it was familiar but yet fresh at
the same time.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Yes, oh that is lovely. Well, I obviously we need
to go into some of these bridal shows together because
we'll both be living our best life. Thank you so
much for the you know, these uh descriptions. Hopefully for
anybody who might actually be bridal shopping, it gives you
a little hint of which way to go. And also

(09:56):
remember that bridal is not only for brides, so surely
in all of these collections you can find some other
great options, you know. So thank you so much Ronesta
for joining us this week. I really appreciate it, and
I hope we get to see you again.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Thank you for having me. It was my absolute pleasure. Yay.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
So every fall there are so many fashion collaborations, so
our associate editor Sidney Aeger has curated some innovative and
interesting full twenty twenty four collaborations. Well come Sydney to
Fashion every talks.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
There.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
As you mentioned, collaborations are really a dime a dozen.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Well, I'm glad we have you to pick out the
best ones for us. So how did you come up
with these interesting full twenty twenty four collaboration choices?

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Some of them I'd seen on social media and some
of them were just brands that we all Adore at
Fashion Reverie. So we kind of got a little sneak
peek into them or press releases, and I was like, Oh,
I really like these these ones aren't boring or they
aren't a food brand collaborating with a fashion brand where
you're just sitting there wondering why it makes sense or
if it does.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Right, So there is let's start with a very interesting combination.
So Alice and Olivia and so tell me about that collaboration.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Well, it sounds a little bit shocking for a band
and a brand to work together. This is Alice and
Olivia and the Beatles' second collaboration. They did their first
one back in twenty eighteen, and they use some of
the iconic symbols and lyrics from the Beatles into their clothing.
And because of the poppiness and kind of avant garde

(11:52):
but still classic details of Alice and Olivia as a brand,
it really does work together with a sort of cohesion
that is it's just amazing.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
I love it. I love it. From what I've seen,
I would wear all of it because it's like the
cuteness with NS. I know, well, I have it.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
Here comes the sun Shure and it's so cute.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Yes, So, could you collaborate on Gorwear's new thermal is that? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:22):
So? Gorwear is an athletic brand that is very well
known for their spin, cycling and running collections. But as
any athlete can attest, it's very difficult to work out
in cold weather, even if you are hot, as you
start to work up a sweat. So Gorwear has expanded

(12:43):
their collection to include thermal leggings as well as thermal coats.
They also have added more details to their raincoats as well.
So this new extension isn't necessarily a collaboration, but it's
more of an innovation with what they already have have
And that's why I added it to the list, just
because everybody should be aware, especially if you're New York based,

(13:05):
to stay warm when you're working out.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yes, I'm already feeling coold, So going to to start
getting you know, prepared with some thermal clothing brand now, yes, exactly. So. Lastly,
could you talk about uh Splendid and Salah Jane Block.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
I think it's Chela Jaane blog, but it's from Becky
Hillard who's a lifestyle influencer, and Splendid as a brand
that we already know. At Fashion Reverie, they do have
a lot of sophisticated items, but they're under two hundred
dollars for the most part, even though the material is
very nice and luxurious. So it's a brand that we
really do like. And they've collaborated with this lifestyle influencers

(13:52):
to create a fall collection. There's thirty three pieces to
it and all of them focus on an earth tone
color palette, so they can be interchanged. You don't feel
like you have to buy every single item to make
it work, and you can really work it throughout your
wardrobe or even the pieces in the collection itself.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Yeah, I love it. I think a lot more people
are understanding that you do need those basic colors. And yes,
thank you for correcting me because I wasn't sure how
to pronounce.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
The I mean, I could be wrong too, Bella Jane blog,
so I could be wrong as well. Well.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Thank you so much for sharing with us, and for
the rest of Sydney's choices, please go to fashion refrey
dot com.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Thank Janna, Well viewers.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
