Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, welcome listeners to fast food Horror. This episode is
(00:36):
episode two in our urban legend series of The Bell Tower,
the founder tape of Jenny Stratton.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Okay, I'll have to do is get to the top
of the tower, ring that stupid bell and run out.
That's it easy. Walk a few flights of stairs, hit
the bell, or however you ring a bell and walk down,
Hit the bell and get out. Hit the bell and
get out. Ten minutes and this will all be over.
They'll all stop picking on me. It will all stop,
(01:20):
all the jokes and everything will stop. I'll be cool.
This camera is heavy, weighs a ton. Ugh. Tommy already
said it's on and I don't have to touch anything.
There's all lay on. And he also said there's a
clock on the screen. Let's look. Oh there it is
eleven forty one. Gotta hurry up. Okay, I'm at the entrance.
(01:52):
It's all boarded up. Now what now? What can't stop here?
If I stop here, they'll just keep picking on me.
They'll say I chickened out. I have to find a way.
Maybe if I if I kick out a board at
the bottom, they all seem pretty loose. If I turn
around and there we go. I can call through that
(02:19):
easy camera in first and here I go. This is crazy. Hello,
it's so dark and it smells like like, ugh, my
brother's sneakers. Oh god, at least this camera has a
light on, and I can see the moonlight at the
(02:41):
top of the bell tower. Can't see the bell. The
stair spiral up to the top floor. You can see
the moonlight coming down through the opening at the top
of the stairs. Seven stories up. Seems really high. The
bell must be up there. Here we go, though. The
stairs seem pretty dirty, which surprising. What dusty and covered
(03:02):
in coblebs. I'm gonna need to take a shower. This
the squeaking of steps and helping, it's reminding me of
that scary movie we watched us week where never mind,
I don't want to think about that. I don't want
to think about that. Nope, nope, nope. I don't remember
(03:23):
it being windy outside. I don't remember it being windy
before I crawled in. That's weird, guys, right, it's windy
outside right now? Did it just start? Okay, I'm at
the top looking down. Oh wow, should not have looked down.
(03:44):
That's crazy. It's pitch black. Looking down, I can see
the first few steps below me, and then nothing. The
camera light just stops. It's like nothing exists beyond the darkness.
I know I'm only up about seven storm Okay, never mind.
Up we go ast few steps and dad ah wow,
(04:08):
And there's the belt. Pretty big. I can't even get
my arms around it. It's hanging there from the middle
of a beam. It looks like that one in Philadelphia
we just learned about in social studies. How the heck
do I ring it? There's no rope to pool. I
don't think if I punch it will make any noise. Well,
let's try out. Nope, not ringing. How would they do that?
(04:36):
There has to be something up here I can hit with.
Oh the camera, I can just getting Tommy, what is
up here? Oh? Is that what they used? Looked at?
I was paying attention money. We're showing me tools in
your shop. I found a wooden mallet. This should work
well enough. Here we go.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
That's so loud.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Okay, mission accomplished. Camera clock says midnight. Let's get the
hell out of here. God, these steps are so dark.
So glad I have some camera. Without it, i'd be blind.
Down the steps I go, then I'm running out of
that damn hole. They better cheer for me. I watched
(05:28):
the track of how many floors I've gone down. Kind
of hard to keep tracking the dark, and you just
keep throwing in circles, no landings, no windows to see
impiden getting closer to the ground. But I have to
be getting close. Why does it feel like it's longer
going down than when I went up. There's no way
it should take this long. It's definitely been fifteen minutes.
(05:51):
Let's check the camera clock, twelve sixteen. I'm still going down,
lower and lower and lower. No windows or anything to
help me keep trapping floors. I don't remember there being
just many stairs. It's twelve twenty six and I'm still
jumped going down. I'm going back up. I don't understand
(06:14):
what's going on. It took ten minutes to go up
the first time. This is messed up. I'm back at
the top. Took me like ten minutes from where I
turned around, though I never out to the ground floor.
I just kept walking down the staircase, lower and lower.
I never even saw the ground. I don't remember there
(06:36):
being a basement. Did I miss there being a basement.
I'm going to go down again. I must have missed
the basement opening and accidentally just kept going. I'm going
down the staircase and keeping the camera light angled so
I can see part of the steps and the exterior walls.
This way, I can see as I've passed the ground floor,
(06:59):
but I still don't remember reaching the ground floor the
last time. It's twelve forty seven am. On the camera stop,
I've stopped countering how many times I've gone around the staircase,
But according to the camera clock, it's Oh my gosh,
one oh five am. I've been walking for eighteen minutes
down the staircase. It just keeps going lower and lower.
(07:22):
Actually can't see the bottom. The tower is only seven stories.
Maybe the floor is just beyond the light. Let's try something.
The floor is concrete. I have a quarter. If I
toss it, I should hear it hit so I can
tell how far away I am one two three nothing.
(07:45):
How could I not hit by now there has to
be a floor. Let's try this again and one two
three nothing. I'm going back up. It's one ten. Back
at the top it's one twenty. I don't understand when
(08:06):
I go up it's ten minutes no matter where I
start from. But no matter how long I go down,
I never find the bottom. I never passed the ground floor.
It's like an endless staircase. I'm going down again. It's
one twenty four. Okay, guys, it's two thirty four. I've
(08:31):
walked for an hour. It just keeps going no ground floor.
Like that's crazy. How far I've walked down the staircase.
And when I finally gave up, I turned around and
went back up. Ten minutes to go up? What took
me sixty minutes to descend? I don't understand. The slashs
of the tower are too high up. I can't climb those.
(08:53):
I've tried shouting. Don't think anyone could hear me? Did
you guys? Forget about me? Not sure how I'm getting
out of here or what's going on. I'm just going
to start ringing the bell till someone finds me. It's
been a few hours now, Clack says eight am. But
(09:13):
the sun never came up. It still looks like it's
dark outside. I'm going to try and throw the VHS
tape out of a slab. Maybe someone will find it.
I hope they find it I hope they find me
