Follow Your Spirit with Author and Founder of The Cupcake Collection Mignon Francois

When you’re told what success looks like from a young age (good grades, college, 30-40+ hours a week at a good paying job) it’s easy to feel like you know your next step. Well, that was a lifestyle that Mignon Francois was not ready to settle into when she decided to “bake sale” her way to breaking the cycle. As stay-at-home mother of 6+1 with no prior baking experience (not even out of a box) trying to make ends meet, she knew she was destined for more than just the daily grind. Starting her baking journey with a dorm refrigerator and Kitchenaid mixer in her living room, she knew the only way to go was up. Not being able to see the well laid plan before her, she credits her faith and spirituality in allowing her to always look for the lesson when her path forward seemed unsure. Leaving a legacy for future generations is no small feat, but with her passion for success Mignon knows exactly who she is and what she will be leaving for her children and grandchildren. She shares with Jeanne her 3 ingredient “recipe” for a so-called overnight success, why starting a business is like nurturing a child, why we aren’t afraid of failure but rather afraid of success, how we can find purpose in our brokenness, and the importance of connecting with younger generations.
