I’m a Recovering Perfectionist with Author and Health Advocate Rosey Lee

Despite dreams of being a New York fashion designer, Rosey Lee now believes she’s exactly where she’s supposed to be … as a newly published author. She spent the first part of her career life as a doctor but kept her creative side engaged by writing, doing DIY projects, even some wedding planning. She shares her biggest daily challenge with Jeanne and how she solves it; what survival techniques she relies one that have been passed down through generations; how she learned to be comfortable in choosing herself; why she’s a recovering perfectionist; and her number one piece of advice for everyone.

About Rosey

Rosey Lee writes hopeful stories about complicated families and complex friendships. As a native of the West Bank of New Orleans, Louisiana who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, Rosey’s writing is inspired by the people, traditions, and food that anchor her to the South. She enjoys cooking, listening to live music, and occasional bursts of fanatical bargain shopping. As a child, Rosey dreamed of a career in writing, fashion design, and acting. She uses the pen name Rosey Lee as she pursues her passion for writing. Her alter ego is a physician who has dedicated her career to individual and community-based approaches to health equity. Her debut book, The Gardins of Edin, was released by Penguin Random House in January.
