Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey y'all, thank you for tuning in. Welcome back to
the podcast. I'm so glad you're here today. But before
we die, then I want to share something exciting. So
this is the very first episode since the rebrand. God
put it on my heart to shift the focus more
towards faith and how He shows up in our everyday lives.

(00:23):
So if you've been listening for a while and I
know you've been waiting on an episode, thank you so
much for sticking with me. And if you're new here,
missure that you're following us and welcome. I'm so glad
that you're joining this journey. So today's episode is called
Overcoming Spiritual Doubts. So if you ever wondered and I

(00:44):
know I can't be the only one, God, are you
really here? Can I trust you when life feels unclear?
And then this episode is for you. I wanted to
share three points that have helped me with my faith
and you know, when it was sitting a little shaky.
I won't be long because I think I only got
fifteen minutes. So you know, first we got to recognize

(01:07):
that doubt is a part of the faith's journey Heaven.
Doubt doesn't mean you don't love God, or that you
think this week. You know, even people in the Bible
struggle with it. So let's think about Thomas who needed
to see jesus wounds, or Daia who cried out in
the psalms, Lord, why have you forsaken me? So they

(01:28):
coursed in God to So doubt isn't the end of faith.
It can actually be the doorway to a deeper trust.
When we bring those doubts to him, it only makes
the relationship stronger, you know. But I wanted to go
over real quick about Thomas and David. So Thomas, he's
most remembered for a doubt in jesus resurrection until he

(01:52):
saw proof. So in John chapter twenty twenty four through
twenty nine, if you wanted to check it out for yourself,
he said, Thomas said he would not believe unless he
saw the nail marks in Jesus' hand and touched his side.
When Jesus appeared, he invited Thomas to touch his wound.
Thomas then declare, my Lord and my God. And this

(02:15):
right here just shows how Jesus met Thomas in his
doubt and turned us into pace. So God will meet
you where you at So with David, it wasn't so
much about dowing God, but it goes back to you know, like, God,
are you really there? So he really dealt with not
getting an answer from God. So David often struggled with fear, discouragement,

(02:41):
and questions toward God. But instead of staying in doubt,
he poured us his heart out in prayer. So just
a couple of examples in Psalms thirteen, verse one and two,
how long Lord would you? Will you forget me? Forever?
How long you hide your face from me? Okay? In

(03:03):
Psalms twenty two and one it says, my God, my God,
why have you forsaken me? And then Pms forty two
and five, why my soul are you downcasts? Why so disturbed?
Within me? Put your hope in God. So just a
couple of examples that I wanted to point out. So

(03:27):
seconds we got to learn how to trust God even
when life feels uncertain, And y'all, I'll be honest, it's
not easy. It was times in my own life where
I didn't know how things would work out, but God
was still faithful, y'all. And that's where recently I just
been just so stuck you know that one day, I

(03:47):
just told God, I fully surrender because I don't know
what I'm doing. I'm tired of trying to control, you know,
and be in control of everything. So I fully surrendered
to God, y'all. And I just saw a complete difference
when you just truly trusting God. And I understand that.
You know, some people may feel like they're not there

(04:07):
with God yet, but it's okay. You have to start somewhere.
You just got to start prioritizing God and reading the Bible.
Of me being connected with a prayer line every morning,
that helps hold me accountable because honey, my neighbor is
going to call me every morning. I may not answer
one morning thinking she may not call back, but she

(04:31):
she always calls me. So that kind of holds me accountable,
you know, to start your day off like that. Okay,
let me get back on script. So, like I said,
I totally surrender to God. And he's just been showing out, y'all.
So in Proverbs three, five and six, it reminds us

(04:52):
that trusting the Lord with all your heart and lean
not on your own understanding and all your ways submit
to him, you will make your pals straight. So y'all.
Trust in God isn't a one time thing. It's something
that we have to implement every day. Like just like
you get up and wash your face and bush your teeth,

(05:12):
spend that time with God as soon as you open
your eyes. You have to prioritize that time with God.
So even when the future looks blur, we can hold
on just knowing that god plans are always for our goods.
You've got to know He's always got our best interest
at heart. Okay, how long I back now? I got
bout nine more minutes. Okay, And so lastly, let's talk

(05:36):
about some practical ways we can strengthen our faith in
those uncertain moments. I know I just spoke on it.
But one is prayer, being I'm honest with God about
our doubts. You know that's a start, you know, just
it meant to it so He can handle your questions.
Another one is staying in the word. Reads your Bible.

(05:56):
I know some people be like the bab and real
it was rope by man. Listen, whatever whatever the case
may be, read it. You will learn a lot and
it has a lot to do with what we face
in every day life. So it don't hurt to read
the Bible, you cause you can start there. So even
if it's just a few verses, God's truth has a

(06:18):
way of coming our anxious heart. And I know that
for a day because when I started to get anxious, y'all,
I can go to the Bible and pick out any
scripture and almost instantly I calm down and realize that
the situation is not even their serious. Okay, y'all, I
keep getting off tracked. Okay. So community is another big one.
Like I mentioned, I'm on the prayer call, and my

(06:39):
neighbor holds me accountable, y'all. And if you want to
get on the pre call, all you got to do
is send me your number and now I'll give it
to her. I guarantee you she will make sure that
you're on their per call every morning. She will. So
they the people on the prayer line, and I only
I've never met anybody on the pro call. I own

(07:00):
know my neighbor, So that's another thing, like I never
met these people in person. But yeah, I feel so
supported because if we're going through something, you know, they'll
take prayer request and it just feels good to have,
you know, to surround yourself with people who can remind
you of God's faithfulness when you can't see it yourself.

(07:21):
And then the last thing I have is takes my
own selfs of obedience. Sometimes trust in God looks like
just doing the next right thing, one step at a time,
and I feel like for me, it was putting this
podcast out. So much been going on my life, Hunty.
I had to do it had to be another episode,
But so much has been going on in my life, y'all,

(07:42):
until I had to be still and truly listen to
God's voice and realize he wants me to fulfill my purpose.
And I know exactly what that is, you guys, But
I've just been sitting on it, procrastinate, letting fear outweigh faith.
But I just want to thank Him for pulling me

(08:02):
through and me just putting this new episode out for
the second season of Fight to Rasilia. It just makes
me feel good that I'm doing something that God want
me to do. So I'm about to wrap this up, y'all.
I don't have loan, So again I say, doubt is
not an enemy of the faith. It's often the soul

(08:23):
will faith grow. So trusting God in uncertainty doesn't mean
having all the answers. It means resting in the one
who does. So my purer for you today is that
you would feel God's present even in your doubts, and
that your faith would grow stronger through it. Thank y'all
so much for tuning in to today's episode. I got

(08:45):
a little emotional, but I thought through it. So if
this encouraged you all, if you know somebody that it could,
you know, share it with a friend who might need
it to So until next time, let's keep walking by
faith even in uncertain times. So I just want to
close out with this prayer. Father God, we thank you
for being a God we can trust even when life

(09:07):
feels uncertain. Lord, we admit that sometimes doubt creeps in
and we don't always understand what you're doing. But today,
Father God, we choose to trust you anyway, strengthen our hearts,
increase our faith, and remind us of your promises For
the listener who is struggling right now, Father God, that
asks that you give them peace that passes all understanding,

(09:30):
comfort in their questions, and courague to keep believing. We
know you are faithful, and we put our hope in you.
In Jesus' name Amen
