Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies, gentlemen, welcome back to episode number one fifty two
of For the Fan. As always, I am Will and
we got Dom and we got Jake. Here, gentlemen, Hello,
it's up.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Uh yeah, Wildcard weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
It's not Super Wildcard weekend anymore. It's just the Wildcard
weekend now. And it came.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
It went so quickly, so fast.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Six great matchups, well one great, three duds and they
won good one and then flopped again. But you know,
and all in all, it was a good, solid weekend
of football, everything going down and around. You can follow
us on all the social media platforms down below, YouTube
for the Fan Network, Twitter for the Fan Network, Instagram

(00:41):
for the Fan Football.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I would say TikTok, but.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Unfortunately, in roughly eighty something hours, TikTok will be saying
it's goodbyes to the US platform because politicians can't control
what is said, what can be mentioned on this platform.
And I know there's a lot of people that come
in here, tune in. I want to have my little
spiel here for the next thirty seconds. The Democrats let

(01:04):
everyone down, the Republicans let everyone down. There's the big
senators on TikTok that are preaching about how good TikTok
is and they're the ones that say, you know what,
we need to ban this app. It's too big, it's
too political. Can't control what everything is said on here
because you know the secrets of the government are gonna
come out and it's just gonna get everyone like all,
you know, up in arms. Maybe we'll be on red

(01:26):
note next week. Who knows, maybe we'll be on red note.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
It was my number one source for drones above New Jersey.
So we'll see what uh that's tells it or just
go on just see them wherever. That's also a valid point.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Well, we'll see what can happen.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Hopefully, uh you know, new president takes over Monday, so
maybe something can happen about it, and our existence on
this app might be uh.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Very well, non existence will be very short. But uh yeah, gentlemen,
I don't really.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Have much else to say. Do you guys want me
to just click on the intro here? Sure, let's want
to do a small eulogy for actual eulogy. Hey, hey, hey, hey,
let's plus the Chinese here. They made a great app here. Okay,
they're very like you know, I think they I think
they got the wrong hand here Bredno is very very
Chinese controlled, So it's they.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
They did help us substantially a little bit.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
TikTok has helped a lot of us here.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
It helped a lot of small.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Creators, large creators, a whole lot of stuff. Here, someone's
trying to request into joining as a guest. I don't
even know who you are, but I'm not going to
accept it. But if you, guys wan have a small
eulogy of TikTok, I will see if there's a little uh,
there's not even a violent background music thing.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
It was actually just to be like, oh, thanks guys,
you've got your eulogy.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Hey say it before we hit.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
This intro here.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I don't know. Thank you we thrive.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Thank you to our spies. You guys helped us, helped
us thrive.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Thanks for pushing us.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Thank you for pushing us, not letting zucker fuck take control. Nah,
both of a shitty ass platforms ain't doing it.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Huh. But yes, thank you all for tuning in. You
are listening to for the fan.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
You are listening to for the fan.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
And here we go.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Uh yeah, let's kind of going to this coaching search.
I mean, there's not really much of much, if any
news that goes on really during playoff time. We can
talk about Deontay johnsonain claimed by the Ravens, but who
really cares. Dude through a whole ass temper tantrum, got
cut by the Texans to now just go back to
Baltimore and isn't even a part of the team because
of how waivers work in the playoffs, He's not claimed

(04:07):
until the day after the super Bowl. So that is
pretty funny in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
But wait, so he can't even be a part of.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
He No, he can't even be a part of the Ravens.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
I didn't even know that. So what was the point
of them claiming him? Uh?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Probably to tell him the fuck off? I mean, Will's unhinged.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
It's two curse words in a matter of like four minutes.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Uh yeah, that's kind of just how that is. But yeah,
says the headline says down below head coaching search updates.
So when we talked about last week, oh as Mike Jeane,
the comments here says it's to get a comp pick.
If he was to, you know, get signed, it would
be for twenty twenty six. It wouldn't be for twenty
twenty five. So if he gets claimed well signs with

(04:54):
another team, they could acquire a competiory.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Draft pick in return for him.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Yes, clearly wanted him. At one point he said I'm
not going in the game.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
That's also true.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
So head coaching Church. Last week we talked there were
six openings. We're talking right now. There are six openings,
but one coach has already claimed his heir to the throne.
Mike Vrabel early Sunday morning, as Ian Rappaport and every
other insider mentioned agrees to the Patriots. He had his
introductory press conference on Monday. Uh yeah, it talks about

(05:29):
being a run first team and you know, not really
trying to put the ball on Drake May. He made
a lot of other comments too, saying, how you look
at all the other teams in the league, they all
have good offensive lines. Drake May obviously needs a wall
to keep himself upright and get everything steady. Studying the
ship there up in New England, but dom since it
is your team. And Mike Rabele, who was a Patriots

(05:52):
player from two thousand and one to two thousand and eight,
then got traded to Kansas City with Matt Castle to
where the Patriots drafted a guy named Draw.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Mayo to replace Mike Vrabel.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Now Draw Mayo gets fired and is replaced by Mike
Frabel and the most replacing this ship of the season
can go. What are your thoughts here on Mike Rabel
now being the head coach of the New England Patriots.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
I mean with Draw Mayo being fired, which wasn't my
favorite thing in the world, because it's not we gave
him too much of a chance. The only way I'm
okay with that was if it was like, you know, hey, Rabel,
we know exists and wants to be a part of
this organization. So like that's our plan firing Mayo. So like, okay,
I'm good with it. That was the only plan I

(06:37):
could see really making sense of working. Uh, he was
a good coach. He only got fired because the GM
just and him didn't agree, and then the GMS made
some comments about how intimidating he is over you know,
so he still hasn't had a job, So every thought

(06:59):
this is is right to me. I'm good with it.
And you know, maybe if he could bring in a
little bit of talent just because he is him and
players did like him, you know, I did see a
comment or two about A. J. Brown. I don't think
that's gonna happen, but Rabel did say I love that dude.
We have a great relationship. Who knows. Probably not, but

(07:21):
who knows, But that's gonna happen. But whatever did I mean?
I think it's best case scenario for the Patriots and
Rabel gets a chance to prove himself even more than
he has so far as a head coach. So I
think it's a longer term decision and we'll see. Yeah,

(07:43):
he's a he's a proven one of the most proven
coaches on the current in the current like coach carousel,
free agency cycle, everything, I.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Think he's the best option.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
All the other guys kind of either unproven or not
good and just kind of recycle once.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Yeah, I mean, Ben Johnson exists, so probably he might
have a job as a head coach, but obviously he hasn't.
That's not where he's coming from. He's coming from being
in oc on a good team. So it's like, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
I guaranteed that.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah, probably, but uh ray, well again, yeah, most moving
pretty much outside of some of the older guys that
like have coached before. But yeah, I'm happy with it.
As a Patriots fan, I'm happy with it.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
So another former linebacker returns home becomes the head coach.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Sure we've seen the story before.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
But now we've week transition to what's happening in Dallas here,
because well, you don't really see a whole lot of
head coach and contracts expire.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
At at all.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
You usually see him, Oh hey, they go up they
you know, contract extensions all that stuff, or they're fired
with a year, two years, three years, depending on who
and what the situation is. So Mike McCarthy's contract fully expired.
He's a free agent. The Cowboys rejected the Bears opportunity
to interview him as he was still under contract with

(09:07):
the Dallas Cowboys last week, which McCarthy has already gone on.
He's interviewed with the Cowboys. He's doing that either right
now or he's doing it tomorrow. So it's coming up
here where Mike McCarthy could make his way back into
the NFC North. And he's also linked to the Saints'
job as well, so a big name going on there.

(09:28):
But then it leads to the question of what's going
to happen in Dallas here? And I do have a
little question here. I would like to mention here there
was a guy, a cornerback in the nineties who you know,
went from the Falcons to the Niners, then went to
the Cowboys for a few years, played a little bit
of offense defense whole ten yards there. And I want
to ask you, guys, how likely do you think it
is that Deion Sanders is the next coach of the

(09:49):
Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
I'd say second place and odds from here right now
behind killing more because clear connection with Jerry there, you
would Kellim wo would have already been their coach if
Micha McCarthy didn't completely sell them down the river.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
I mean, I think that's pretty accurate.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Dion.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Jerry spoke right like that was a thing or something.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yeah, during the wild card game on Monday, uh Schefter
said there was actually like talks with them, So it's
I don't know, Colorado was already paying them, you know,
eight figures to be the coach, and you know the
jack up ticket prices and tuition, and after two years
if he just dips, I mean, hey, Shador's in the draft.

(10:40):
I've seen some crazy things where apparently, you know, they
trade back to the Titans get the first overall pick
draft Shador and a couple of other another first and
mid mid round picks just to acquired Dion Sun.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
I don't know, man, I have no I don't know.
I mean it just like I don't know. I don't
know if it would be successful at all. I don't
know if it.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
I think's he a coach, but.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
I think so to try. And but this is also
competition well above kind of everything that Dion's been doing.
This is a substantial step. Obviously, this is like a
really gigantic step.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
I think the Deon Sanders thing works best in cop
It's more of a branding thing to get recruits than anything.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah, no clue.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
This just reminds me so much a whole like Ball
Brothers crap.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Yeah, like.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Is not He's not that guy? Can we stop?

Speaker 3 (11:48):
And like also, I was outspoken about it this past
year about how like the biggest factor for the Cowboys
was dan Quinn at least early in this and I
said that because dang Quinn. Look what dan Quinn's doing
currently still doing, by the way, and Dallas first and
foremost during the season, what we noticed first was that

(12:09):
defense was born non existence, especially against the Ron Dereck
Henry did whatever he wanted against that team, like three
or whatever, and so early on, my biggest thing was
dan Quinn not being there, so that was a fact.
So I don't know, I feel like there's just so much.
The Cowboys are so such a loaded issue, problem, question, discussion, conversation,

(12:33):
So I don't know, man I and throwing Dion in
the mix and that whole show is just like I
don't know if you're gonna do it for Hard Knocks, sir,
that'll be a production. Other than that, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
They wouldn't be in the running for Hard Knocks.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
That's the only thing then it's not.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Even where is it. That's the only thing that makes
it makes sense, is like exactly it needs to be
a prison.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Jerry factor of it all with him eyeballs, that's all
Jerry really cares about.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Yeah, we'll get eyeballs, like I'm sure right, and hype
will be around it. Like I don't disagree with that
at all, because.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
I honestly believe Jerry Jones would trade winning a Super
Bowl for the Cowboys being talked about every day. Like
if you told me that Jerry Jones gets to win
a Super Bowl, he's off for a deal.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
He wins the Super Bowl guarantee. Yeah, but no one
talks about the Cowboys. I don't think he takes the deal.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
I mean selling selling tickets still hasn't even been a problem.
So it's like, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah, we see it that that stuff every single week,
with them running into the stadium just to get the
standing room. People telling me, like you're telling me those
are like the cheapest seats, Like you just can't sit
in like the nine hundreds. I think that's how high
the AT and T Stadium goes. They get nine hundreds
maybe thousand level seats.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Then you get blocked by the big JumboTron or.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
The suns in your eyes.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
I think the sub won't be in your eyes if
you're on the sides of the stadium. I think that
might be a better blessing.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Maybe they should.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Maybe they should invest in some blinds before they start
investing in a head coaches.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
They aren't the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
They have concerts there.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Their blinds are down.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Yeah, So go from the Jerry Jerry world and all
that stuff.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Who wants to take control of his.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Own little you know thing? I don't even know what
to even call it anymore. His little thing of oh,
I'm going to control the coaching search doesn't need a
law firm or coaching firm as like the Jets of
the Bears are doing. They're having, you know, all this
other stuff go around here. Uh. A little bit of
injury news here is a Flowers has not practiced today,

(14:37):
So it's not a good sign that he will be
available on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo. But
obviously there's still two more days of practice. It looked,
as it was said last week, it looks very you
know likely, he's not going to be playing this week
unless something drastically changes.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Uh. Yeah, that's pretty much it. I don't really have it.
The other injury news, yeah, very cut and dry.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Are there any activations as far as the Lions that
we might need to know? Uh?

Speaker 1 (15:09):
David Montgomery, I believe practice today.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Yeah, I think he's gonna play.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
He went to re he was rehabbing as knee injury.
He seems to be ready to go, itching to go.
H let's see he does not have an injury designation. All.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Well, that's there is.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
A Saturday night at eight point fifteen on Fox will
be seeing the return of Knuckles to the Sonic and
Knuckles backfield there for the Detroit Lions. And I believe
the Lions are also getting a lot more healthier. They
should be having a couple of other players practice, and like,
I don't know, they have like twenty five guys on
ir so.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Probably some defense they need. They need back on defense
for sure. Yeah, that's gonna be wild.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Let's see what do the Lions have in Uh, let's
see injury up. They definitely have to have something posted.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Uh, that's silly they play.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Oh the estimated practice report from yesterday. Okay, this is
what the Lions have so uh, full practice for David Montgomery,
Arryon Arnold, no practice for Kevin Zeitler, the guard Ennis
Rakestraw with a hamstring slash illness, and Pat O'Connell with

(16:30):
a knee injury. Nothing's been updated yeat about their practice
window or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
So oh h I should have saw.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
This was the very first thing when I clicked on it.
All right, Taylor Decker did not practice dual personal reason.
Still full participants for Montgomery, Terry On Arnold, still no.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Practice for the other guys, so yeah, I wonder if
you have an.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
I'm trying to find it if there's an update.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Well, I can see what you're googling. And no, no,
on Hutchinson, what you first but first came up was right,
he would not be. It wouldn't wouldn't be till the
super Bowl. Oh wait, like the very very earliest. You
could stretch it as the championship game.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
All right, I just want to on the you know,
still commander's injury update. Frankie Louvu full participant, Marshall and
Lattimore full participant. Ze Gonzales practiced in full today after
being limited with a hip injury.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
John Bates full.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Ben Sinnett still limited, Drom Paynes limited, clet Farrell limited
from an upgrade from UH, did not practice.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Zach Ertz also was upgraded UH.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Bobby Wagner two days of d NPS, so he'll probably play.
It's just a veteran fatigue, as they call it.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Main's been around for a while. Let's talk.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Let's talk about this guy's favorite memories from the divisional round.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Shoot, you forgot about this. I forgot about this.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
I forgot about this. So I guess you're going first.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
I mean, I could also just bring up what I
said last year Niner Saints great ending there, But I
also found another one. Dak Prescott, Zeke Elliott rookie seasons
number one seed in the NFC. They were going at
it with the Packers. Looked to be like, oh hey,
force and overtime. But Aaron Rodgers man, he steps into

(18:39):
at and T field or against the Dallas Cowboys, he
turns into a bad man, a very very bad man.
Jared Cook on the sideline, toe tapping, Mason Crosby kicks
the field goal. Packers returned to the NFC Championship game.
So yeah, that's uh, that is my my pick there

(19:01):
for a divisional round memories, Oh, I get like, still
such a great one.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
What's got? I'll high miracle?

Speaker 3 (19:11):
You're talking about this?

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Yep, son of a bitch.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
He just Jacoby Jacoby Jones, Toby Jones, R I P yep,
Greg Gumble on the call, R I P as well, Dick,
I literally I it's up on my screen over Jake
didn't even look at it first.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
He looked on his phone and found it. I yep,
you're right, one hundred percent. That's where I was gonna
go on more. That's where what went the one below
this one? Yeah, I don't remember this one. I don't
think Alex Smith twenty eleven, I don't.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Know against against the Saints.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
This was the wait was this the Davis?

Speaker 2 (19:58):
It was catch three.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
With nine seconds left. You know what, No, I do
remember this game. I remember this specifically because when anyone
in my life ever mentions Vernon Davis, this is exactly
what I think of right here, this game catch So
you know what? Okay, yeah, no, this is a good one. Yeah,
this was like Vernon Davis's career game, like just because

(20:23):
when I think Vernon Davis, this is what I think first.
And Vernon's was a legit tight end for years on
San France. Like that's I'm not saying like this was
his Onwly I.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Not forget the backup there Delaney Walker too, Like they
had two g's at tight end.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Then there's this really good picture of Eron Alex Smith
rushing into the end zone and his face is hilarious.
But do you see that his mouth is wide, he
looks shocked that he's running in.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
The Oh yeah, because they he ran it up.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Yeah, because he did just a quarterback run. He ran
up the sideline there, Staley got a block and you know,
was able to cross into the end zone and then
Jimmy no, Jimmy Graham responded with like a sixty yard
touchdown and then the kedge happened?

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Wasn't there?

Speaker 4 (21:06):
Like a really good I can't remember that again. I
remember what rounds things are. Just think of games that
I remember.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Now.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
There was like a really good game between the UH
Steelers and Ravens.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Twenty ten divisional round. Ravens are up twenty one nothing
and then Steelers came back and won thirty five to
twenty one.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Huge divisional. That's divisional.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
There's also twenty ten Chicago Bears Seattle Seahawks.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Yep, Johnny knocks. I think injury game. That might have
been it, or it was a different game against Seattle. Yeah,
I heard against Seattle.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Look at that picture, dude, I remember that game now,
that one.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. There's a picture of Matt
Fotee like six feet in the air, like being tossed
over the line. Stuff is flying off of him in
the snow. Pretty wild, bro. No, that was uh, that
was a conference.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
What about this which performance from card weekend stood out
to you guys.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
See, I know they didn't win, but knowing what I
know now, well mixed with a broken back, no shut, Yeah,
apparently he's been playing the.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Last like six weeks of the season with a frat.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
That man is just all great, dude, We'll say, he
deserves to be talked about.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Me. And then they put up seven points but dang yeah, yeah,
first drive went out, chucked the bomb, the nim's down
the field.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
It's just like the only player of the game we
didn't see.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
I mean, honestly, man, the Rams made such a statement.
It really did. In all the adversity that they faced,
all the adversity that they faced, man like not being
at a home field so they were basically away. I know,

(23:11):
they dressed the stadium up nicely. I will say they
did a good job doing the best they could to
try to replicate some kind of Ams home, even though
the fans were just straight obviously that was Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
But like.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
The NFL did a decent job with that, I will say.
But you know, they're still coming from a place where
it's like, I don't know what their practices were like
all week. I don't know what their travel was like
apparently they they brought like everyone they possibly could, families, pets,
everything with them that they possibly could on so many
different flights or whatever. So they're still dealing with stuff

(23:49):
there along with their community back home and everything. So like,
you know, adversity at the Wazoo for them, they had
the extra day. That's good, But that was a statement game.
I think everyone can agree that we didn't expect that
game to go maybe well, but we didn't expect that
game to go the way that it went. And it
was just most of the fact that like any chance

(24:11):
Minnesota ever had at momentum was immediately taken away by
a turnover or stop by a by a review.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
I let you keep going, I'm going to ye you here.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Yeah, I mean they were kind of wild, yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Because Sam Darnold turned back in the Jets sound.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Yeah, a little bit held the ball for too long
on very multiple occasions.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
That Rams defense though, like I know it was like
said like oh hey, like they're not you know, a
good defense, and they came in just like how like
harassed the entire Vikings offense ghosts again. He probably was
for being honest, I'm pretty sure he was.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
I know was unhappy and then like one good play
happened in what was psyched again and then immediately unhappy again,
because that's how the game went. Like anytime Minnesota could
do anything, momentum would shift straight back to the Rams,
so Ram would take the momentum away like immediately again. Dude,
I like it felt like the Vikings could not catch

(25:11):
any raak. They could not catch any footing the whole game.
It was crazy. Anytime it looked like the Vikings might
be shifting momentum, boom Rams right back at it. I mean,
Verse had the return touchdown where he flew in through
the air. I haven't seen a picture of that thing.
I do at some point, because I'm sure it was
pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Just look up Jerry versus flying and you'll probably find it.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Probably but uh, you know what, just good for the Rams,
good for the Rams. Huge game game.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Kevin O'Connell looked like he was so dawn with Sam.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
He did he did. He looked pissed on multiple occasions,
and not just that Sam, like the whole the whole
offenses seemed like bro like even running back. Oh and
Aaron Jones couldn't do anything all day, Like that team
was shut down, bro, So good for the Rams cards,
how y the Rams whose house?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
The cards are always in the house, always in the house.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
Cards on the table.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Uh yeah, I'm gonna pick the low hanging fruit here.
The rookie receiver that had that now owns the record
for the most receiving yards in a playoff game.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
LA D.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
D mcconkay as A Keegan, Michael Pete, Keeg and Michael p.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Yeah Keegan Michael.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
Key has said, and now the substitute teacher for m
LA D D mcconkaey. So yeah, one hundred and ninety
seven yards.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
The only bright spot on that Chargers team the entire game. Oh,
outside the defense actually make it turnovers, but the on
offense Lab McConkey was the only the only people, well
people person who really made a difference there for the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
And that was on like a third and twenty five
or something.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Right, Yeah, like a third and thirty, like eighty six
yards down the field like Herbert got demolished two plays
in the row.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Yeah, that was huge that that That was an exciting
play for sure. And Lat McConkie is awesome.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Game had a lot of exciting plays all right here
game of the week here, I don't have I don't
really have much talking tools here, but you know, what's
what's the game of the.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Week coming up or behind us?

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Well last week?

Speaker 3 (27:25):
Okay, I feel like I feel like that's kind of
what we just said, though, I feel I feel like
I don't know how else to go in this.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
Yes, if you're going a different way, like the walk
off field.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Goal night game, the last game.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
A do.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Everything is pretty wild, bro.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
Yeah, after like Zings is having an O c D meltdown.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Yeah, all the hair, hair and socks and issue laced length.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
He legitimately has OCD and he was freaking out.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
That's a kicker. That's the That's the least surprising kicker.
Fact ever, too, is everything about that makes sense? But yeah,
I mean that was pretty pretty cool. It was obviously
the closest game of the weekend. But good for good.
Also technically, if you're not counting the Rams because technically

(28:24):
that's a home game, that was the only away win
of the of the week was the Commanders, So yeah,
the only wildcard team the win. Yeah, the only away
team on both sides, so there's usually only one. Yeah,
it's kind of like.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Wildcard weekend usually has one exactly.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
So good for them though, uh.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Geez, I mean I kind of want to go with
the same one. That'd be like low hanging fruit kind of.
I don't know. I'll pick the Rams and the Vikings.
I mean, once Stafford and Company drove down the field
for that first touchdown, I was just like, this game's over.
There's no stopping it. Like the game's done.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
It's over.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Like I was, like, the Vikings are in a world
as ship now like Rams have everything, you know, pissed
off to Bay and all that stuff. So yeah, I'll
be different there. I'll pick that. Uh do you want
to do a Courtland impression here?

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (29:23):
Cotland?

Speaker 2 (29:23):
What about the Steelers? What do you think about the scoring?

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Right?

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Well, never scores more than twenty points in a playoff game.
Let's up all these points every year it's pointless. What's
the point of going over five hundred when every year
this is what happens. Well, when was the last time
that the Steelers did anything?

Speaker 2 (29:48):
It was with a guy that was a franchise quarterback
seventeen years ago. Like, I mean, that's delay and wait
before going.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
Back in, because I can't. I gotta think that's exactly
what he does. I mean, if I was a Steelers fan,
I was going to rat about it too. I mean,
it's completely accurate. You know.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
I'm glad that he's the only Steelers fan that agrees
to me that Tomlin has had to go for the
last few years.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Yeah, the hater.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
There might be more and more at this point because
like going.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Tennis, Mortals broke this man. I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
They played the Patriots at twenty sixteen and you had
the Tom Brady oversized coat in the sideline. Okay, it's
one thing, it's the Patriots, but then you get absolutely
trounced at home against a quarterback who just wants to
rip SIGs and do construction all day along. What's the
first thing you do in the morning if you were
doing what would you be doing?

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Rip and were construction somewhere?

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Well, what's the first thing you do in the morning? Well,
I take a piss.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
True.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
That's the best.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
That's the best interview, like of all time ever.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
So okay, Well, since we've only got two games here
and we got the Colton impression out of the way, what.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
About this by selling hold wild Card weekend?

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Uh? Yeah, definitely a lot of buys, a lot of cells,
a lot of holds.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Yeah, I'm gonna I didn't really parody buys. I had
my cells ready, but.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
I am gonna buy in.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
The winner of the Bibles Baltimore game will go to
the super Bowl for the AFC.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
That's huge.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
Wow, Oh my gosh, all right, crap. Both of my
holds won this past week.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Yeah, I held them the Commies, they won.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
I held them in the Rams. I'm not gonna talk
about the Commanders. They have a tough matchup coming up.
I will say, though, I will say, well, I don't
want to buy the Rams. I'm gonna buy the Rams
for the purpose of what they did this past week though,
Like that was a demanding win. Obviously that was a
very decisive win. They're about as good as you can
possibly be for their situation. You know, it's a short week,

(32:17):
You're going to Philadelphia. None of that is easy, despite
everything also happening home, Like they're in a very tough
situation period, that's not a very winnable situation. But I
would say the Rams are in't about as good shape
they could possibly be despite everything. So you know, I
will buy the Rams, not for the sake of that

(32:38):
they're gonna win. I don't know if I can say that,
but I'm gonna buy them as in, they're doing the
best they can, man.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
So I'm gonna branch off what you said them. But
I'm just buying into their defense this week. That was
a really stellar performance against a really good offense of
Wine where they're able to take down Darnold.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
You know, a couple of times.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
It will be difficult to see what they do against
Jalen Hurts with now a full game at least under
his belt for the first time since the Commander's game
back in week fifteen. So yeah, yeah, so I'll buy
into the Ramsy this time. What about sales, Jake, you
said you got two, they're all ready to go.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
I'm selling the NFL for a couple of reasons.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
First one, having Monday night playoff game you could have
a you know, I get ESPN has their rights thing,
but having a short week in the playoffs is ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Sucks.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
And two, allowing coaches to interview with other teams while
you're in the preparing for playoff games is ridiculous. Don't
say it doesn't happen where it's actually a problem because
Jonathan Gannon, my real cell is the obvious one, like
the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Has got it.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
This has got a something major has to happen with
what they don't do. They don't do major things, they
don't make major changes. But that team had zero fight.
It was a whole bunch of finger.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
Pointing and blame game.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
And the same guy who's let big egos get out
of hand for a long time. Steel has not won
a playoff game and has had average to mediocre seedons.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Just there's gotta be some kind of big change.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
I'm not even the Steelers guy.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
I do have two cells, but I'm really trying to
think of the real one here. I'm gonna sell on
the dirty bubble. He took hardball off the field and
that's really the difference maker of the entire football game
there for the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
So I'm gonna sell on him.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Obviously incredible. That was incredible, You know what. I actually
very much liked that broadcast. It starts when with the
with the clip I posted on TikTok of the fumble
in the beginning of the game where Patrick says he
didn't firmly grasp it was hysterical I mean just an
absolute I will say the entire game. Creatively, they do

(35:10):
such a great job because it doesn't end. There's so
many things they do during that game that is just
so funny for the little kids and stuff.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
And I can't imagine how that Super Bowl broadcast was
because that added an extra hour of what an NFL
game would be.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
And they at like the entire.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Overtime was played in the super Bowl when they aired
that too.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Yeah that's true. Yeah, dude, I I don't know, man,
but it is funny and they do creatively. They do
a hilarious job. I will never really watch one live
ever because I won't I need the authentic NFL experience.
But like you know what great filoidian. It seems like

(35:51):
it's working every year and creatively they really don't stop.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
And my other shows the Steelers there, so yeah, I'll
back track off of you, Jake on that one. And
what about holds here? We got holds everywhere.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
I gotta sell still.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Oh okay, okay, Dom, you keep on.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
I want you to skip me because I'm really disappointed
about this cell. But I think I have to sell
the Chargers for this past week. This was not a
game the defense did not put them fought to lose.
I don't think they they did all they did a
decent amount that they could do. You drove down the
field once field goal, that sucks, you know, like a

(36:35):
stick game. You score the touchdown, I mean that's that's
a move. Then you get an immediately an immediate turnover,
like immediate turnover, you're back in great field position. You
have to settle for a field goal again. And aside
from one play lad Monconkie for eighty six yards, like

(36:56):
it was kind of a bismal on offense man. So
it's really unforse. I'm really that's not what I was
hoping from the Chargers. I was pretty psyched about the
Chargers going into this. I was pretty outspoken that, like
I really thought the Chargers could be a thing in
the playoffs. They made it past this first game, and
they just didn't do it at all. So I'm gonna
sell on the Chargers because I'm disappointed in the Chargers

(37:18):
and what they should On Saturday, I'm gonna.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Get into my holds piggybacks off that.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
I had Texas as my hold because for the first time,
like all season, they looked the team we expected.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
Yeah, like went out handled business.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
And put a pretty bad beat down on a team
we all considered to be a solid, good enough team.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
This win and.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
I mean, yeah, finally, finally they show up when it matters. No,
I don't think it's totally due to a nick rance
as a coach, because when the harder down like that
team stepped them up and finally showed what they.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
Got, what's fair.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
Uh My hold is going to be the Minnesota Vikings
kind of looking at what's next, very limited in the
cap space and only two draft picks next year. Well
this coming draft in what three and a half months,
So a couple questions there for the Vikings. So I'm
going to hold on them and see what they're able
to do in the off season.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
I'm gonna hold on the Commanders. They did a great
job this past week. I really thought timpa Bay was
going to move forward. They seemed pretty for playoffs, they
seemed like they could have been a little bit scary,
but the Commanders beat them. Wasn't the prettiest. I mean,
you one off a doink, so it was that close.
It was six inches of a difference from who knows what.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
It's an entire dollar bill if you like, hold a
dollar bill up like that, like that's like the width
of a goalpost.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
Yeah, so literally, it's probably less than six inches of
a difference. And your game was maybe different, and so
was your playoff hopes. So it's like it was close,
and it does get easier because now you go to
Detroit and Detroit's a pretty epic team. But you know what,
good for them. I'm holding on them because I can't
just outright by them right now. Off matchup man really

(39:29):
tough coming up, but Tampa Bay beat Detroit at one
point this season. Commanders beat Tampa Bay right now, so
anything can happen. But good for the mirrors.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
I also have another sell. I actually just thought of
the Mike Evans and Marshall and Lattimore fighting saga.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
I thinks ended.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Yeah, I was really upset. I was hoping, you know,
Haymakers was just start flying during that game. So I'm
a little upset that, you know, Marshall Latimore is definitely
losing the age game to a mister Mike. But yeah,
I had to just add that there. Hey, Flatimore was
pretty physical with him. I mean I saw a couple

(40:12):
of knees to the back on Evans when he was
going down, Like, it's pretty physical there.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
You might fight someone on Detroit. I could see that happening.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Jamison Williams.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Yeah, we'll get knee capped all right by Kirby Joseph probably.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
How would that happen?

Speaker 3 (40:27):
I don't know. They'll figure it out.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
Alrighty, we got user down here, who says, who do
you guys got in the LA and Philly games.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
So we're gonna transition here into our picks.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
I didn't make a little like a little thumbnail graphic
there because well, yeah, it's all about points here. So
right now, I took the lead with five correct picks
in the playoffs, and then you three are tied with three.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
Sure, yeah, yeah, the same picks across the board. I
think you're the only one that took different stuff.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Yeah, could have been perfect six and now. But the
the Chargers failed me here. The Chargers failed me. A
lot of people, yeah, a lot of people in our comments.
So oh, Herbie wanted to have touchdowns, let me down,
sell out this and that. But here we go here

(41:17):
prematch of the Christmas Fiasco thing. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
Saturday Football was a couple.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
Of weeks ago where these two teams faced the Texans
where they've looked really awful on offense. They kind of
looked like they got back together here last week against
the Chargers, who have a top three defense. They kind
of put them to bed here and then the Chiefs,
who have secured the number one seed Kansas City now
has the playoffs for the AFC run through the AFC. Yeah,

(41:46):
there we go, just adding words to reach that word
count and say I'm ready. But here we go, number four,
number one, we're all taking the Kansas City Chiefs here
as the winner.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
I really don't want to It's like I've really want
to think that Houston.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
I still don't have faith in the Texans. I just
don't know if I could never have faith in the Texans.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
Kansas City sat for so long right now, I feel
like like if I haven't seen them playing.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Like they haven't played since Christmas Day.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
So by the time Saturday comes around, there'll be what
twenty three days, twenty four days.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
So, but they're also really rested, very healthy at that point.
Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 1 (42:29):
From Kansas City, we go we go to a Yeah,
we go to a domed Detroit here where the Commanders
at the sixth seed, win their first playoff game since
two thousand and five when they would play it in Tampa.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
And they beat Tampa.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
They now go to Detroit, where the NFC Detroit runs.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Everyone has to go through Detroit.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
I don't even know the last time these two teams face,
so I can't even bring up any history here.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
But we all have a.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
Clean sweep of Detroit, and Colland also has mention. But
I think Washington covers the ten point spread, which sounds
really ridiculous, So that is true.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
If it really is a ten point spread, there's a
ten it is a ten point spread.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
Coland expects a tight matchup here. And from Detroit we go.
We go to Philadelphia, where these two teams faced on
Sunday and Night Football just earlier this year, and Saquon
Barkley piled on two hundred and fifty dollars. Two hundred
and fifty dollars, Yeah, two hundred and fifty yards. Saquon
Barkley did pile up. I was reading a best Buy

(43:37):
email that popped up on my phone.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
As I was doing that. Three two, three d and
two total yards.

Speaker 3 (43:43):
Yeah, three hundred and two total yards, so not even
just that was just.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Rushing, just rushing.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
Crazy.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
The Rams who nine sacks and Sam Darnold a recovery
for a fumble for six. Tyler Higbee who broke his
chest coughing up blood, expects to play in this game
against the Eagles, who. Hey, they held down the Green
Bay Packers. H Dallas Goddard, your angry runner of the week,

(44:11):
stiff armed that Vallentine.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Valentine Valentine.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
Yeah, four times, punched them in the head five times.
Essentially he was not stopping them. Dallas Goddard wins, and.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
I'm like that. He said he slowed down to intentionally
get that one in, just to just to do it.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
Dallas Goddard runs angry in the playoffs, I have Loan
wolfing the l A Rams here. I did mention last week.
I said a team that no one really wants to
play as the Rams. I think they kind of.

Speaker 4 (44:44):
Tampa and the Rams are the two teams I didn't
want to I wanted to work out they didn't have
to see them.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
Yeah, I know Jake would have wanted a Vikings reunion
there in Philadelphia for the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (44:55):
Well, they always come here like every playoffs, and it's
usually worked out.

Speaker 1 (45:03):
From a three o'clock matchup on NBC to six forty
on CBS. Here the rematch of the week four Sunday
night game where the Ravens absolutely trounced the Bills. But
this time Josh Allen's house is hosting this matchup here,
and we have a split here. Jake and I are
taking the Baltimore Ravens while domin Colton are taking the
Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 3 (45:25):
We know the weather.

Speaker 2 (45:25):
I didn't even look at the weather before like this.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
I think the next time you look at the weather
is like that day, because if you look at it now,
it's gonna it could be like ninety five and sunny.
Who knows, it's probably gonna be cold. So a lot
of bruising or running.

Speaker 4 (45:40):
Well, no, my god, Henry, So I'm less. I'm less
concerned as long as it's not like a blizzard.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
Uh, it's looking like it's probably like fifteen degrees.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
It's looking.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
So every day, oh my gosh, every day from here
to Sunday, there's about a twenty five to thirty five
percent chance of snow showers from here to Sunday, every
single day only twenty five to thirty five percent though,
so I got to take that.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
What you will and that link effects snow.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
Yeah, so it's like, who knows? Is really the best answer?

Speaker 2 (46:18):
I know we're supposed to get snow on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
I didn't know that. Wow, all right, well, who knows?
I think is the literal just like any other Buffalo
Bill's game at this point in time of the year,
the best answer that you can pass yet, So I
think that's just uh, we'll see, like what will said?
Check it that day, check.

Speaker 2 (46:42):
The weather that day.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
And for the people on TikTok here there's only two
people and left in the chat.

Speaker 2 (46:47):
Follow us everywhere.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
YouTube for the fan network, Twitter for the fan network, well,
Twitter for the fan on the scoring, Instagram for the
fan football. Absolute pleasure. It's been on TikTok.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Hopefully we can unite soon.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
I don't got much.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
Or you reunite on a different platform, yeah right.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
Note or Google Giggles. I saw I saw that one
Google Giggles is another one.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Is that an app.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
I could be being trolled on Twitter, but I thought
that was pretty hysterical. Just think on Twitter, I click
on here and I see Guinness original mac and Cheese.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
So yeah, Guinness the beer.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
Yeah, well they do decide the world records and if
restaurants are no, that's the mischel, that's the tire, that's
the tire company.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Yep, I heard every I heard, every overcook stake turns
into a tire yep.

Speaker 3 (47:45):
Wrong, overlapping brand. My bad.

Speaker 1 (47:50):
World records if they're even our world records, and then
you know, tires, tires and stars. Yeah, thank you all
for tuning in on TikTok. We're gonna be live on
YouTube and next next week, so yeah, tuning in there.
Maybe if the stars aligned, I mean the planets are
going to be aligning for the next couple months. Yeah,

(48:11):
maybe we'll be back on TikTok before the end of
the season.

Speaker 3 (48:15):
Thank you all.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
Tune in next week on various other platforms. Okay, so
thank you all for Yeah that's all I got.
