Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen, I am not getting any sound on
TikTok right now. I'm gonna figure that out in a
couple of seconds here, but you are listening to for
the Fan episode number one fifty three. As always, I
am will and we got jac and down here, gentlemen, Hello,
it's up, it's up. There we go. We got sound.
It's back. We're there. I'm gonna turn that up and

(00:22):
I'm gonna turn that down and boom, we got sound
again on TikTok. And just like the band that lasted
a whole fourteen hours, we survived what Y two K,
the bird flu, the first COVID in two thousand and two,
and other COVID I don't even know what. Other natural disasters,
Superstorm Sandy. Uh, there was a couple of big snowstorms
that's happened in our lifetime. We've survived a lot. We're here, Yeah, yeah, Hey,

(00:44):
we survived the great TikTok outage of twenty twenty five.
We're here, we're rereck we're back after no adventures to
red No. I don't really know if we could do that,
but we're back. We're able to talk football on here.
You can follow us on all these great platforms. Let's
get the banrup down below here YouTube for the fan network,
TikTok for the fan network, X for the Fantom, the
scoring Instagram for the fan of football. We got Bill

(01:07):
Sports in here, go Bills. As he says here, you
might want to stick around for the picks here because
they might be a little shocking. But yes, the visual weekend,
probably the best weekend in all of sports, is honestly
the most competitive weekend in all of football, especially playoffs.
Really beat out what the wildcard gave us, and it
was all for really great matchups. All were close except

(01:28):
for one, but you know, we'll talk about the one
in a couple of minutes. But beginner thoughts though on that,
you know, good bad thumb rating for what how the
weekend was? You give it? You give thumbs up in
the middle down below.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Snow.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
We got snow this weekend in a playoff game, in
multiple playoff games, and I don't think anyone gets disappointed
when playoff football is played in the snow. So I
think that was probably, in a very general sense, a
highlight for this weekend for sure, because snow is fun
and like the Eagles game, I love when a game

(02:10):
starts completely green field, like just immaculate looking field, and
then by one core start it's like just white completely
from snow.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
I love when games start just in the best fashion,
like in the best conditions, and then boom, by the
time it gets to some other quarter, it's just inches
of snow. So that that's always a good time to me.
I love a good snow during the game. And Bill's
bills snow.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
It's like a cold and snowy and all that stuff. Yeah,
but yeah, we're gonna get into it right now. You
are listening to for the fan. You are listening to
for the Fan m And here we go. We'll be

(03:15):
joined by Holt in a couple of minutes. He's making
a phone call, who knows what. Maybe he's trying to
call out the Steelers to fire Tomlin or something. Wouldn't
be surprised. But let's talk about some coaching news, because
now we have two dominos in the coaching world that's fallen.
With the Lions really surprising loss of the Commanders on
Saturday night, we now have two new head coaches. Ben

(03:37):
Johnson now goes to the Bears and Aaron Glenn to
the Jets. Aaron Glenn's a five year deal. I don't
know the contract parameters of Ben Johnson yet, but I
know Penn the paper was made on Tuesday. He had
his introductory press conference today. Obviously there's a couple of
takeaways where he says, you know, he always wanted to
stay in the NFC North and wasn't an option going
anywhere else Like Jacksonville, he was kind of favored in

(03:59):
Las Vegae. I guess he was favored in especially with Brady's
ties with trying to find the next heir to the
head coaching throne, general manager throne. But yeah, what are
your guys' thoughts on the Lions now who have been
poached and are going to be continued to be poached?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Yeah, the Patriots poached defensive line coach for their defensive
coordinator from the Lions, so like, yeah, the Lions are
definitely continuing to be poached, not just even the coordinators.
So that is a that's a valid point.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Do we think it's at all possible that this isn't
at at least one of the two of them was
a Jouncan situation where they was tampering. I think that's
possible why their performance was poor.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I mean, you can't really blame the defense on that
because the Lion's defense is already so thin as it was.
And we saw another one of the corners just break
his arm and just like that was like the end
of it. I don't know, but like running, oh what
an end to round pass play with Jamison Williams and
throwing it right into h Sanderstill's hands for an interception.

(05:05):
I don't I feel that felt really questionable. But also
it's uh Dan Campbell who's like, okay, yeah, we got
to have our balls on the ground. Can't do anything
different here. Put him in a wheelbarrow. They're going to
be massive after the game. Gotta do dips and rip SIGs, espresso,
ten coffees, whole ten yards because like they.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Got hired the next day, both of them.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yeah, he went yeah. Ben Johnson went on a plane Monday.
It was like official, like Monday, like afternoon that he
was just like, oh, hey, he's getting you know, it's like, oh,
Ben Johnson's pen the paper there Aaron Glenn it was.
He was with the Jets on Tuesday. Then he flew home.
But he also said it like he knew he was
wanted to be there and he just wanted to go

(05:50):
home and you know, tell his family like, oh hey,
I'm doing this instead of just hearing like the news
and all that stuff go out. So at least give.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Did Glenn do the same interview?

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Uh, he did a virtual interview. He was supposed to
go down Wednesday, but since the one in a million
year blizzard that happened in Baton, Rouge and New Orleans,
all up and down the Gulf Coast like Pensacola, Florida
got like a foot of snow, some parts of Louisiana
had like a foot and a half, they weren't getting
you know, they couldn't clear out anything to get that done.

(06:21):
So yeah, but he did or the he did alert
the Saints that he was like, oh hey, like I'm
not going in not you know, taking the interview and
all that stuff. Colton, you're here. What are your thoughts
on the lines being poached with coordinators? Do you have
any fears that the Lions can't produce now without these
two key pieces there. I've been there with.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Campbell the postseason again, so that surprised me. But this
is also like a year later than expected. So I
guarantee they already had guys, they were already training in
the wings here behind the scenes, because again, this was
expected last season at least what that John to lose him,
So it doesn't surprise me that they're both poached. And

(07:05):
I think they're gonna be okay as far as recovering
from this, because honestly, they had a year ahead of
notice that. Yet you're losing Ben Johnson at least, so
I guarantee they had someone in the trading behind the
scenes that is easily getting promoted with this. And Dan Campbell,
even after his post game surely made it seem like
he was expecting to lose both these guys, So I

(07:25):
think they knew this was coming.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
I think, I mean, I think the funniest part to
me is the whole those random dudes doing the thing
to Caleb Williams, like spamming or like doing the fake
on Don john like I just want to just talk
with you for a little bit before I actually get
hired to Bears, and then Caleb Williams like facetimes them

(07:49):
and it's just like two dudes just like having a
good time as a joke, and then Ben Johnson actually
goes to the Bears. So, I mean, I think that's funny.
And then I know I sent it either sent it
to Jake and Will or just Jake, I think of
you that Matt Lafloor and this or not not not
Matt before Ben Johnson in the interview or what enter interview,

(08:11):
whatever you want to call it, press conference, Buck getting
hired says that he really enjoys beating Matt Lafloor a year. Well,
I don't know, Well that's going to age now that
he's the Bears coach. I don't know, maybe if you
should say that, but it's funny, but you know, I
don't know, but.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
That situation is interesting and kind of funny to me.
But I don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
So Jet's going with another defensive coach, I think is
question mistake.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
I mean, I saw a guy, I saw a guy
on barstool, and it's like, yeah, here we go another
first time head coach. You could have gotten Brian Flores,
who at least has head coaching experience. He could probably
you know, take on the limelight of what New York
has to offer with the media, which is not really
the greatest thing, but at least you have a guy
who's head coached at least a little bit, not another
first time guy. But you gotta yeah, I just gotta

(09:07):
like wait and kind of see on it. Really, I
think Steve Wilks is the first guy that they're gonna
try getting on the roster as like defensive coordinator. So
get a guy who's experienced. I don't know what the
Bears are looking at or if the Bear, if Ben
Judges is gonna poach more of the Lions guys and
Eric Gunn's gonna poach the rest of them. But it'll

(09:28):
be interesting to see what happens though with these two.
But we do have the other part here that I
gotta mention. So we have three head coaching openings that
were filled, which was the Patriots with Rabel, now the
Jets with Aaron Glenn, and then the Bears with Ben Johnson.
Now we have four remaining openings, which now with these

(09:49):
two dominoes fallowing, it kind of speeds up this process
of that of who's gonna be where for the next
head coaching spot. So we have the Raiders, who I'm
to think are actively talking with Pete carrollba'ma too sure
how far that gonna go Schottenheimer, the former Cowboys offensive
coordinator who was with the Seahawks and the Jets for
a little bit. He has a second interview, and it
could be he could be the next head coach of

(10:10):
the Cowboys, but we would wait the see kind of
game there. The Saints with Aaron Glenn out, it looks
like they could be going after Mike McCarthy, which will
be a kind of a big get there with Mickey
Loomis and him being buds and with Liam Cohen pulling
his name out of the Jaguars head coaching search. Robert
Siloh is gonna be flying down there Thursday night and

(10:32):
he could become the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
And that's after they fired Trent Balk at GM. So
only a two short weeks ago where Con was having
an end of season press conference and he basically said, yeah,
I fire Balky if I want to. I'm just kind
of keeping on your app right now. And you know
he canned them only three hours ago. So some interesting

(10:55):
pieces there. But I want to ask you, guys, what
do you think might be the next domino to fall
in this head coaching search.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
I feel like after you said all that, I feel like,
out of all of those, if the Jags might sound
like the one that seems the most sensical, the Saints
doing Mike McCarthy, If that's what happens, I think that's wild.

(11:25):
I feel like the Saints don't need even remotely controversial
head coach signing and the Dent dallist.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
But I don't know. I don't know. If I bet
you the Raiders one doesn't happen.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
That's I really don't know what's going on over there.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
But they just hired their GM there, so they hired
the Buccaneers assistant GM spy tech so which is fitting
because Brino Brady being the minority owner spying and teching.
That is just the Belichick to be the head coach
of bouf It's just a full funny, full circle moment.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Isn't it true that he also? Belichick has not yet
actually signed his deal with UNC.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
That's the thing I've been seeing. He's not official pen
the paper. I don't know if he even coached that
bullgain that they had up in Boston. I didn't get
a chance to watch it.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
I don't think he did.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Don't think he did.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Probably, But again, out of all of those, I do
think the Jags and Solid that one sounds the most normal,
most sensical to me, Like if he's actually going down there,
that sounds kind of solid.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
That one might be the first of that fight.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
A guess, Yeah, it's probably, don't. I think the rest
of them are really going to get held up by
what the Cowboys do. Everyone say what you will about
Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. It's the most money organization,
so people are going to try and get that job.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Mm hmm. Yeah, might be one of the worst parts.
You gotta report the Jerry every day. You gotta report
the GM Jerry and owner Jerry.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
I never said it was gonna be the most fun
job money.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
What about you? What what' you're hoping? Do you think
might get filled up first?

Speaker 5 (13:25):
I gotta tell you, I have zero ideas. So I'm
just gonna take the one with your most information you
gave me, and that's Jacksonville. So I'm jumping off with Dom.
It's gotta be Jacksonville because I don't know what the
hell is going on with the rest of these teams.
To be honest. By the way, conversation piece for next
week or something. I don't think it should be allowed
that these assistants are talking to these other coaches during

(13:48):
the playoffs, Like that's crazy to me, like the fact
that you're entertaining other positions while you're like coaching, Like
I understand it from like like from teams, like like
the teams that are looking for a coaches, Like I
get that you want to do all these interviews and
stuff because like say Ben Johnson has no interest in
your team, Like you feel that out where you have

(14:09):
to wait to even hear from him, Like I got
that part of it, But like, damn, they got to
fix this whole thing because it's such a such a
crap show. Like I understand the concept of talking to
these guys at least get an idea so you're not
blindsided where it's like, okay, you wait the you know,
three weeks whenever they're out or the playoffs, whatever that
team may be, that you're interested in plugging someone from

(14:29):
their staff. It's a disaster the fact that you have
Detroit out this early and get taking nothing away from
the commanders and what they've done. But geez, like these
guys could have been looking at a head coaching jobs
and not really putting all their effort into their actual
position right now, Like it's just it's a weird thing,
and you can see it from both sides, to be honest,

(14:50):
Like I got it, Like I just said it. Like
what if you're a team that was waiting on Ben
Johnson and Ben Johnson had no interest in Chicago the
whole time, but like Chicago sitting there, Oh, we're waiting
on Ben Johnson and say their second option was Mike
Rabel for just for crafts and gigs say that the
Bears second option was Mike Rabol, but they're waiting on
Ben Johnson and Mike Rebl already took the job, and Grig,

(15:14):
we could have at least interviewed Mike Rabol for the position.
I believe they did. I'm just saying, like, say that
wasn't the case, just like that's they wanted Ben Johnson
the whole time, but they have to wait and then
their second candidate that they had is gone because they
have to wait, like I got having a brief conversation,
but man, it looks terrible when both these guys are gone.

(15:35):
Both had interviews, Like same thing with Flores in Minnesota,
Like these guys are only interviewing like it's they got
to figure this out somewhere or not, because I could
tell you if I'm a fan of that team, especially
Detroit fan, like where these guys like, well not the
window already like one foot in, one foot out already,
like I got they probably are like they're going to
win super Bowl possibly, but like dan Head coaching job,

(15:57):
Like it's weird. It's weird. This is another conversation piece
popster for next week or something. I don't know, it's
just really weird.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
It literally lost the Super Bowl two years ago. Jonathan
Gannon was already heightened and was taking interviews while he
was in Arizona for the Super Bowl, and then that
was the worst defensive performance we had all season.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
They locked him in a small closet without the ability
to watch any kind of tape on the game. They
just said, you don't know, you're staying in the facility.
We're not letting you leave.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Right before you came on, Colet and we were we
touched on the idea that maybe the interviews hurt Detroit
at that game.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
And last week we said something about it. I think
that was your self.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
That was my cell was the fell for the interviewing process.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
Yeah, Like I said, I don't know what the perfect
fix is for, but it's they got to figure it
out either, like do it like the weeks before. I
don't know, man, it's such a weird thing. Like what
do you do, like, oh, like get no offense, Like
if you're firing your head coach, do it before week
eighteen so they can have the conversations and like that's it.
As soon as the playoffs start, you can not talk

(17:08):
to these guys, so like get your conversation. Like, I
don't know, it's so messed up, Like, oh yeah, you're
firing a coach before week eighteen. Like the thing is
a lot of these coaches know, a lot of these
like a lot of these organizations probably know they're firing
these coaches. And it doesn't need one extra week to
tell you that, Oh yeah it, we're definitely firing this guy.
Like I don't know, man, Like I don't know what

(17:28):
the perfect thing is for, but I can tell you
it's not a great look when these guys are any
feeling for positions and they're out and they're upsets. They
probably shouldn't. Like we're talking about Detroit another year. I
got their banged up, their defense was shot the crap,
all the injuries, like I got it. But this is
a team that should and probably would have been in
the super Bowl last year if they don't have Dan Campbell,

(17:49):
you know, overthinking things and going for it every fourth down,
like they're probably in the super Bowl last year. And
this is a team that's probably the favorites at the
NFC and they're bounced by rookie quarterback again no shots
like the Commanders incredible run came with the watching again
this weekend. But it's very bad look at least when
you have both these coaches now plucked. I mean not

(18:12):
even a week after their loss. It's it's just I
don't know, man, they got to figure out the right
system because you got these guys I think looking one
foot in, one foot out the door already. You know,
I got like they still have a chance to when
the Super Bowl, these coaches, But you also have a
hit coaching gig where it's like, okay, who's my assistant coaches?

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Like because it's the.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Balance, like it's very fast before the drafts here like combine,
like you got to get your ship, your your ducks
in an order here. So yeah, they got to figure
it out.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Killan Moore had an interview either Friday or Saturday, like
late in the week with Dallas before that game. I
think it was Saturday.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
Yeah, that's it's just the more you look at it,
And like I said, it's a bad look when you
got these guys out, and I'm pretty sure Minnesota had
the same thing a week before. Like, it's not it's
not ideal, Like I get it from the coach a standpoint,
like do not have coaches. I'm certainly going to listen
to whoever else is asking for me for a promotion,
you know where I get a you know, a big
step in my career. Like I don't blame the coaches.

(19:11):
I blame the system for a wowing the interviews to
happen during playoffs. They got to figure it out. I
can tell you it's a problem.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Yeah, some of the other assistant coaching news as Dom
said earlier. Terrell Williams, the Lion's defensive line coach, becomes
the new h DC in New England, and Josh McDaniels
officially rehired in his third stint as the New England
Patriots head coach and along with some other ones. The

(19:41):
Bengals are finalizing a deal with Notre Dames defensive coordinator
Al Golden, who was the linebackers coach for a few
years there the Bengals. He returns to the NFL as
the Bengals who were one of the worst defenses in
the league last year, but still Trey Hendrickson, one of
the bright spots, led the league in sacks and they're
respected to position Uh. He returns back to Cincinnati, where

(20:04):
he still owns a home per Adam Schefter, which I
don't know why he needs to know that. Shifting gears.
Let's talk about the injury round up here, so we're
gonna talk about two of the big ones with uh
Jalen Hurts and Quinya and Mitchell. They both ended up
practicing today. I'm not too sure what the capacity was
of practice, but they did give it a go. They
did practice, so a very positive sign for the Eagles

(20:26):
as they are heading into the third matchup against the
Commanders on Sunday. And I have to say it because
Rappaport tweeted it. Patrick Mahomes was listed as a full
participant despite an ankle injury. I know Jake is punching
walls right now. He's over. It's not dealing with it anymore.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
He's not hurt.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
I have to I have to just report it because
it was on the it was on the thing here.
I have to report it.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
If I could scroll down anymore, there was another one
here scrolling and scrolling. Yep. Sam Cosby tourn ACL really
jeopardizes Week one for him next season. He might not
be coming back till probably November or early December, if
you go off of how Tyler Higbee was. He tour
his ACL at the beginning of the playoffs last year.

(21:12):
He didn't return until Week sixteen against the Jets this year,
So a very long gap there for the injuries there
and then the bills up. The Taylor Rapp, who injured
his hip on a diving attempt to intercept the football
late in the game against the Ravens, will not practice.
Christian Benford remains in concussion protocol, will practice in limited fashion.

(21:36):
Matt Llana, dealing with hamstring soreness, will practice limited as well.
I think that is all that has to be said. Yeah,
all that has to be said there for the injuries,
and now I have to bring you guys, the question
that I've been asking every single week, what is your

(21:56):
favorite moment from conference championships days? Obviously not this Sunday,
but it could be any Sunday for that matter.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
I mind just funny. So I'll mind a throwaway.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
You want to go first?

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:12):
One first?

Speaker 4 (22:14):
A quote from Evan Peerson and the Bengals Chiefs when
in the overtimes, like, well, I guess we're going on
the super Bowl. Just before he even gets on the field,
he's just like, yep, drilling this. And it wasn't like
a short kick either.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
It's like fifty one forty nine? What was that fifty
one or forty nine yard kick? It had distance on it, Yeah,
it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
It wasn't a chip shot, and he just like before
he even even sent out there, it's like I got this,
let's go.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
No, that is I like that one.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
It was just like funny because like that run was
so fun too. Along with it with the Bengals.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
And McPherson was like a contributor to their playoff games,
like he's the one that won me that bet in
the wildcard round where he like so many he had
so many points himself in that playoffs, but I'll keep
the floor. I don't know if this is a favorite,
but I do. I for some reason, this really sticks

(23:10):
out to me, and I think we I literally mentioned this,
mentioned this to you last week or the week or
because I remembered it. But it was a couple of
years ago when the Rams good ms team went to
the Saints went to New Orleans in New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
This was when Jared Goff was still young, and when.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
When uh McVeigh was making all the reads for him,
like preplay, and New Orleans was so loud that golf
couldn't hear McVeigh preplay. So CJ Anderson, veteran from the Broncos,
the veteran running back was in the backfield next to

(23:56):
golf the whole time making the reads for golf pre
play and helping golf with so much of that. I
don't know why that sticks out to me, It just
really does, because now golf is this whole other quarterback
and that was just a really specific moment. You don't
see that often when a veteran running back makes a difference.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Like that in that kaways just a cool moment.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
I think also the year like the like the exact
time the hit gave up on him on probably golf.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Probably it was during COVID where they had a Wolford
John Wolford, Sean Wolford. He started week seventeen and then
he got like blasted in the playoff game against the Seahawks,
just like I don't know who hit him, but he
knocked him out and Jared Goff came in, saved the day,
won the Seahawks. The No, well he won the Rams

(24:46):
the game, not the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
But yeah, no, that was I mean, this was that.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
Also that game with the Saints, right and the interference
and whatnot, so like there's that, but I don't know
just the just a veteran presence running that. That was
a pretty cool thing and C. J. Anderson deserves that credit.
Always good for him. But yeah, I was just that
for some reason what came to my mind today? So

(25:11):
right has written the show.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
What about you calling favorite memories from a conference Sunday.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Yeah, I'm going home or pick here. Troy Palmo intercepting
Joe Flacco to send the Stewers to the super Bowl,
ultimately to lose the game. But hey, what a game Steelers.
I was back and forth game with the Ravens and
Troy I just had to call in my head still
I've been picking it off and running it all the

(25:40):
way back for a touchdown to ice the game up
for the Steelers. He's a Hall of Famer for a reason.
Hall of Fame play shout out forty three. So Troy
Palmo picked six against Joe Flacco to send the Steeers
in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Huge.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Don will appreciate this one. Uh Billy Kundiff, most accurate
kicker in NFL history. I don't even know where this
was going. I don't know, probably in the same harbor
or all the tea went. That's definitely where it was going.
So I don't know that just like stands out to me.
I could always pick all the Jets ones, but it's like, oh,
I don't really want to pick the Jets ones. That
could pick you know, some other funny ones. And then

(26:20):
with the year twenty eleven Patriots, also the Giants that year. Yeah,
and then another one that sticks out to me. I
found the highlights of it. I was watching on Twitter
or ax whatever whatever you want to call it today,
but uh, Falcons Niners NFC Championship game. Falcons got that's
like a seventeen to nothing start and just didn't score

(26:40):
another point after it. Niners just ran, just ran the
score up as quickly as they could and Atlanta and
just ended up winning. So that's another one, another uh
big choking lead there for the Falcons. So yeah, let's
shift into what happened in this past weekend. Here which

(27:03):
performances from the divisional rounds stood out to you?

Speaker 5 (27:08):
I'll take the little hanging fruit of the Commies and
Jayden Daniels kids a real deal man. We talk about
quarterbacks changing franchises, He's changed that franchise dramatically. So I
can tell you I guarantee outside of the Giants, mhm,
the Commands are probably your chalk pick for coming in

(27:30):
third or fourth place in this division. He's throwing to nobody.
Like if I were to name you the number two,
number three receivers on this roster, you like you would
think they're playing in like China, like I always think
of like the T N T crew, when like they
just named random NBA, yes, Shanghai Sharks, Like what what name?

(27:54):
And I stick a shack how Like it's just these
guys are playing in some random team like but that's
the point. Like Diami Brown, I don't even think I'm
saying his name right, Diami Brown, I'm definitely butchering it.
And then Zakias like you would never know. Those are
the number two, number three receivers on this team along
with old zach Ertz. Like what they're doing in Washington

(28:18):
is incredible. And Jadeen Daniels has changed this franchised dramatically,
So shout out jade Daniels and what he's done.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
I'm pretty sure that's straight up Noah Brown from Dallas
and from.

Speaker 5 (28:31):
Now no Brown.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Yeah, Noel Brown's on.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
There and it's not him though it's not him.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Oh he's Oh yeah, I think that Brown's hearts Diami Brown.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
Yeah, I know that Brown was the guy. That's not
who it is.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
That's not one thing. And Luke McCaffrey's in that receiving
core too, and he's not really used that's right.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
I mean like I'm kinda gonna pick it back up
off of that a little bit because I will say, listen,
all right, I have no expectations for them in this
game right now, like going forward, No rookie quarterback has
admitted to the Super Bowl We've talked about that before
we even started the show, like that's, you know, okay cool.
The fact they've gotten this far super freaking substantial, dude,

(29:16):
And I understand Detroit very hurt.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I don't care who you are. If you hang.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
Forty five points in a playoff game, that really matters
like that, I think that's really substantial. I don't care
who you are. I don't care what the matchup is.
That matters to me. And just the fact that it
is a rookie quarterback, the dan Quinn factors, like everything
there for like a year where this is ultimately a

(29:42):
brand new team period, there's no really carryover maybe you know,
Brian Robinson, maybe some defense, but either way, like super
super substantial for Washington, really awesome for them. Again, this
is a situation where we'll asked the question when we
did the preview, what makes this season successful? We're beyond

(30:05):
that now, like this season is a successful season for
the Washington Commanders or what ever named they are next year,
so maybe.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Hopefully they go back to the football team or the Yeah,
actually then that that that Corbor cutout would be nothing.
And then my rally towel NFC East Champion football team
would just be pointless. So I don't want to go
back to the football team.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
But yeah, no, So you know what, good for them,
Like this is a successful season, it's written, you're good.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
I don't care what happens going forward. Good for them.
This is a team that we talk about next year
in a way different light. Cool.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
So that's that's kind of what I want to say
about it, because the other the other games are the
other games. Like Jake can say what he wants to say.
I wasn't gonna take that one from him. If he
wants to do it, do it.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
But I wasn't gonna go with commands.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
No, not that I thought you were going eagles and
like say climb and stuff.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
I mean, I would love there's a lot of things
the shades of Shady Shade exactly. That's the stat lines
were identical. The Shady like called them and gave him
like the tips on what to do with the shoes,
like his cleats like that, what spikes to use, and
its a whole fun thing. But what I was gonna
do is it what stet out to me. And it's
not for a I guess, not really a positive. The

(31:27):
fact that the Texans won every stat and lot their
third down. They have more first downs, they have more
rush yards, they have more pass the yards they had,
like it's more time possession and lost. How is it

(31:48):
even possible?

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Like piggybacking off of your thing? But I saw the
thing where it's like, oh, like all the teams that
were uh what what was it? They all led like
the game in the yards, like the Texans, the Chiefs,
the Rams, then the the Ravens. They all led the
game in like total yards in the game and they
just ended up like flopping.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
But see they all ended up losing all the other ones.
At least the other team won the turnover battle. There
were no picks, no lost fumbles in this game.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Did the Commanders punt at all in that game? I
was distressing about the TikTok band they even like notice it,
I don't think they did. They They they went for
on like fourth down like a lot more than the
Lions did, and they were a lot more successful than
what Dan Campbell was like used to three.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
For four verse two for two. Damn Commander's first Lions.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Three is more than two.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
So well, if the Mariota thing worked out, I mean
that would have been, you know, cool to see, but
it ended up flopping and I'm like, oh, that's where
the Commanders lose.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
That was bad. That was kind of dumb, Like that
was all right. I could have done without that one. Dude,
I don't.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Really know what was gonna happen there. Maybe they could
run in a practice and show us yeah, or they
could do it against the Eagles and do it correctly.
Who knows.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
I don't think that'll work.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Uh, I don't really know the performance I want to
pick out, But like I mean, I may as well
pick the other little hanging fruit, which is the Battle
of the MVP quarterbacks, which is Josh Allen Lamar Jackson.
How that game kind of like floundered. Oh you here
about oh MVP this, MVP that, And it's just like
it didn't really live up to the hype in the
quarterbacks by like Josh Allen had like one hundred and
twenty passing yards and like two touchdowns. Lamar had what

(33:32):
two passing touchdowns and like one hundred and eighty passing
yards wasn't anything like boast home about.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
I mean, we saw playoffs Lamar that we know that
the narrative he's trying to break actively and then it's
just where it was, dude, two of the some of
the worst turnovers I've ever in the playoffs, Like that's
on you, dude.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
It just Mark Andrews though he's a bomb. I can't
believe I drafted him if Fantasy. I literally what I
remember looking at the big board. I'm like, oh, I
kind of want McBride, Oh I want Kittle, and I
saw Mark Andrews, and I'm like, I've never had Mark Andrews.
It's gonna be awesome. Worst experience ever.

Speaker 5 (34:11):
Yeah, it's it's unfortunate. I feel bad for Mark Andrews
with the drops, and that's where a lot of the
blame's gonna go. I agree with dom Lamar. Lamar Lamar.
Like the turnovers, and they're bad turnovers, like the fumble
with the von Miller pick, Like, dude, that cannot happen.
Like you already had batsnap, I got it. It's bats us,
your legs run away. Throw the ball away. Instead, you

(34:34):
try to make a home run play in the playoffs,
which you know the home run play never works. Just
to eat the down something. Instead, y'all fumble the ball
like he just the turnovers at Lamar. It's a problem.
I was gonna say, like later on the Losers before
we get there. Like the Ravens, they have a little

(34:55):
more problem. They have a little more problem, Like I
don't I don't know what to say, like I feel
bad for the guy, even though I don't because I'm
a Steward fan, Like I don't feel bad for him.
But they have a Lamar Jackson problem, Like I don't
know what it is, but this guy throwing the ball
over in big games, Like I got the numbers he

(35:16):
had the season. I think he had like five picks
on the season. It was a crazy number for Lamar,
Like he's played better, but like in the big spot,
he turns the ball over, Like I just I don't
know what to say about him. They have a Lamar
Jackson problem, which is hard to say because the guy's
gonna be multiple time MVP, might win it again this year, Like,

(35:38):
but they have Olamar Jackson problem, which is it's insane
to say it with the guy that's won the MVP
this many times and is in the running again for it.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
Can we talk about that two point play that they've
run multiple times to Mark Andrews that he's either dropped
or not gotten open on like more more than once,
they've gone to that exact same thing instead of going
to Derrick Henry.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
They what it might be like the only thing that
they have on the like the two point version there on,
like the playlist, and that's like the one play that
they have.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Because Mark Andrews has They've in that situation. They've ran
it three times, the exact.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Play they ran against the Steelers, and then they do
it early in the third quarter of that game too.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
It could be wild.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
Game stat In fact, they did not turn to Derrick
Henry sir for two They did not turn to Derrick
Henry for a single two conversion this entire season, which
blows my mind because I feel like that's guaranteed yards.
It's been guaranteed yard all season, so it's like, I
don't know, man. There's some decisions in Baltimore that were

(36:46):
borderline irresponsible. Whether they were during a play by Lamar.
I mean that that fumble was that wasn't a you
got hit you foot ball in an action sequence, that
was you made it really irresponsible choice like that you
shouldn't be making.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
And then there's there's play called the two points.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
It's just I feel like there's some stupid things there. Man,
there's some questionable stuff going on in Baltimore. It's it's
unfortunate because, like Colton's saying, Lamar is the decent job
of breaking the narrative a little bit this year. Whether
he's been a little extra conservative with the ball and
not taking those risks, that's okay, whatever, because it's worked, like, okay,

(37:29):
that's fine.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
Responsible is better than irresponsible. But like.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
Narrative, it's more I know we I would over with
you with Gym once. Yes, he's not throwing picks, but
he's taking sacks because he's being so gun shy to
throw picks. So if anyone's around the ball, he's holding
in that extra second and taking sacks. It's what lost
to us, Like why the Eagles beat them is we

(37:56):
were able to get to Lamar because he was gun shy.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
But you know, I'd still rather.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
Rather that though he takes that sack instead of a
fumble him trying to hit a home run. They like,
it's hard to complain. It's they win. It's that big spot,
the big turnover happens that like I got, everyone sees
it's a shit, snap. You don't have to try to
play hero ball, just go down and would for another
down you have justin Tucker, like try to get back

(38:25):
ten yards on the next plane. Instead you coughed the
ball up. Like I agree with you, he has gotten conservative.
But like then you look at the Chiefs game opening weekend,
like they just miss winning the game on his cleats
being an inch in the wrong color. Like they've played
really well Baltimore this year, and like there should have
been other games that they won, like no offensive Steelers

(38:46):
the first time they played the Steelers, Like they got
away from the run game which was acidminy from the Ravens.
And there's been a few games this ye where they've
gotten away from Derek Henry too early, like I thought
they did it again someday they got away from Henry
too early. I don't know, Like it's a little more problem.
I said that because of the turnovers, which again I
got it, like America saw the snap, like it's not ideal.

(39:09):
That's not a good exchange to Lamar. But no one's
going to blame you if you just go down instead
of doing what you did, trying to make a big
playing form of the football.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
I want to shift gears.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
Here.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
We got three more NFL games, four if you want
to include the flag football game that happens in two weeks.
And no, you know Dom is going to be eagerly
watching that game. I know he's a big flag football guy.
But with the NFL ending, where are you pointing your
eyes to shifting your full focus on in the sports world.

Speaker 5 (39:46):
I can't believe you just asked this. This is such
a weird question.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
I know the Lakers Lebron ad oh my god, whoever
the other white guy is at, like point guard or whatever.

Speaker 5 (39:56):
Ar fifteen baby Austin Reeves. But now I am fully
investing my time in the soccer and footy. Of course
some NHL devils, and of course I'll watching I'll be
I'll be watching everything. Honestly, this is an awful answer
for me, because I'm just naming you everything under the sun.
So like, I'm huge in the Michigan hoops, so everything else.
I'll be investing everything else but baseball. Let's let's just

(40:17):
put that everything but baseball, how about that?

Speaker 4 (40:21):
I certainly will not be watching the for Josh harris
own team. Yeah, this is usually where I fully invested hockey,
the Flyers kind of getting things together maybe for once.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
You know, I was gonna hype up, you know, watching
the hockey and the college basketball. I open up ESPN
because I wanted to like look at like the schedules ahead,
and then I just see up the Miami are going
to suspend, Uh, Jimmy Butler again again again, like he
was always spending seven games, You're gonna put another two
on them.

Speaker 5 (40:55):
He really doesn't like that's wade and get him traded.
I don't know what the hell he's He's just being
such a child, Like I hate that these athletes like
good for the Miami Heat suspending them, Like, my man,
you're making a paycheck, like congratulations, you picked Miami. No
one picked it for you. You picked the you picked

(41:15):
the Heat. They're not playing well now, but you not
playing is not helping the cause. He wants to get
traded very desperately, and he's acting like a child. Good
on the Miami Heat. Pat Riley and those guys not
giving him what he wants. So, I mean, when the
right decision comes for them as far as package goes,
they're gonna deal him. But they're not getting bent over

(41:36):
backwards to deal him because he wants to get dealt.
So good for the Miami Heat.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
Uh yeah, no, the Capitol are the number one team
in the National Hockey League. No one expected it. We're
happy Washington went last night. There was a good time.
They're on an absolute terror. They've been on an absolute terror.
A Readskin getting to Wayne Gretzky's record is prime time
sports in twenty five and that is what I'm here for.

(42:04):
So I don't punch football is over depending on what
football is after this weekend. My focus is completely shifted
to one of the biggest sportsmans in the history of
the major sports, and that would be hopefully of that
skin reaching.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
Pretty much nine hundred goals. So that's what I'm here for.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
I'm gonna piggyback off of Jake Flyers. Hopefully they get
stuff together, hopefully towards you know, can you know, keep
the ship afloat a little bit longer. But I'm a
little eager to watch us some Maryland basketball have been
able to watch a whole lot this year. But hopefully
they can get something together with that dumb ass Kevin
Willard a head coach, and if not, they can you know,
ship his ass out somewhere. I can't stand this guy.

(42:55):
He sucked at Seaton Hall and he sucks again. Bring
back Mark Turgeon. That's all. I that's all. I'm going
to stay on the college world there, or maybe bringing
Jake Plumber, Arizona State's head coach in a dynasty and
NCAA twenty five, another good guy from there.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
To wrap up this point, because as we all know,
Josh Harris owns Sixers and the Anders.

Speaker 1 (43:23):
And the Devils.

Speaker 4 (43:24):
Forget you, forget the conversation. Someone went around on a
bike tour around Philadelphia yesterday or the day before with
a sign that said I was talking about the Sixers
record and like, basically, f you Josh Harris.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Great, well, I mean when embids, you know, not playing
because he has a nosebleed for like three weeks, Like.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
I have zero desire to talk about basketball. It's just
the dumbest sport to me.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
Because hey, hey, hey hey, our friend Jason mex Tyree
SMAXI today he helped change his phone number.

Speaker 4 (43:59):
He was gonna ring that the Tippy got because of
k Josh Harris's the other.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
Devils and Chris Harris Junior apparently also that it's hard
to say, all right, well, I don't think my camera
focus is that that close to it, but there you go.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
That's crazy. Yeah, that's clear.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Now let's go game of the week here, only four
games to pick from, But which one stood that to
you guys the most? From the divisional round?

Speaker 5 (44:38):
Yeah, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go Ravens Bills. It
was like a lot of these games were kind of ugly,
like a separate Houston early. I'm gonna go with the
Bills Ravens effect that got that good at the end
where we almost had a tie game with not much
time left. But yeah, that's probably the low hanging croup. Yeah.

(45:00):
By the way, screw the officials in the Mahomes wagon. Dude,
I'm telling you the penalties in that Houston game were
dive bow Holy cow.

Speaker 4 (45:13):
Yeah, I was saying without saying with my stand up
performance of the week because Texans were better in every
single stat.

Speaker 5 (45:22):
Isn't that crazy? There weren't a lot of the games
the team that was it. Every single game that the
team with the most total yards lost this week? Is
that every game that's it?

Speaker 3 (45:32):
That is incredible? That is incredible. Wow, I'm gonna go
with and I kind of said it earlier. I'm gonna
go with the Eagles, Rams, because there is nothing I
love more than a game that starts in great missions,
green fields looks immaculate, and then at some point in
time you watch highlights and it's like.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
You're watching two different games entirely.

Speaker 3 (45:56):
Because then now, Rammy, it's pure white all over the field,
like it looks like it had been snowing for a
very long time, but it was only an hour. I
love games that make that huge tramation over the course
of the game.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
That's absolutely my favorite.

Speaker 3 (46:12):
Snow games are just and that's what I was saying
in the beginning. I think right before you hopped on
Colton is like just there is nothing better than snow
playoff games. Nothing that is just raw football in the
playoffs at its absolute finest.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
No one says no.

Speaker 5 (46:31):
So it's hard, Like I get it. The products is
not good. It's just that's the only thing, Like I
got it, that's what football is. But then like you
see the Super Bowl, it's not that at all, Like
it's a perfectly great environment, like no wind, no nothing,
no rain, no snow, Like I got it, Like I

(46:53):
it's hard saying that it definitely has its advantages, and
it definitely favored the Eagles. I can tell you that
the weather definitely favorite Philly. Saquem Barkley had no issues
running footall, where Kyraen Williams really couldn't get going. He
had an awful fumble. Like it favors the teams. Man,
that's why like home field and getting that higher seed matters.
So I'll give it to that. But I'm not And

(47:16):
by the way, this is not me saying that we
need to play neutral site games for the playoffs is
and not at all what I'm saying, but it's it's
I want to say it's bad on the I it's
definitely fun watching snow games, but it's not as exciting,
like it's not like you're seeing the teams go up
and down the field these offenses. But ay man, there's

(47:37):
a reason that you're a higher seed. There's a favoritism
to it. And that's why I think Philly was gunning.
That's what sucked with Jalen Hurst getting hurt, it didn't
matter anyway. They end up getting home field and nf
you championship game either way you slice it. But that's
why they really wanted it so they can get Detroit
out of the Dome and get Detroit in the weather
in Philly, which we saw Jared Golf not be able

(47:57):
to play in the cold when he was in La
So good, good on the good on the on the
Eagles and taking advantage of the weather. But they showed
a lot of life late the RAMS, which was which
was nice. But by the way, where the hell did
Cooper Cup go?

Speaker 1 (48:13):
Like?

Speaker 5 (48:14):
They have to move on from Cooper Cup at the
end of the season, right, He's been rolled in the
last eight weeks.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
Apparently ever since the Patriots game, he's been relevant.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
Well, Kendrick Bourne out there trying to cup to the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (48:29):
So you're getting Tyreek kill.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
Yeah maybe I don't know. Higgins and Tyreek, I thank you,
but thank you.

Speaker 1 (48:42):
My game of the week. I'll just pick the other
low hanging fruit Commanders and Lions. It was just an
electric second quarter all around. You couldn't have asked for
anything better. I thought it was a great game all around.
Despite my world ending with TikTok, I couldn't post any
clips on there. So yeah, yeah, that was my that's
my choice for game of the week.

Speaker 3 (49:03):
No, it was a good, good weekend for attention to
for the fan on TikTok, I will say, despite the band,
we did pull like fifty k.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
It was our best weekend like ever.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
Yeah, so we did a good job this weekend. Despite
the band, We'll killed Sundays. Yeah your battle?

Speaker 1 (49:26):
Shall I move on to everyone's favorite topic of the week,
Everyone's topical day. Bye sell and hold divisional round. Gentlemen,
where are you going with your byes this week?

Speaker 5 (49:42):
I'm buying the guy a boat all all day, so
I'm going to keep it short and simple. Jaydeen Daniels,
real deal, folks change franchises.

Speaker 4 (49:53):
I don't really have one, like the Bills are just
you know, I feel like this is their year to
get to the super Bowl. Yes, where I'm gonna go
with that.

Speaker 3 (50:05):
I'm gonna buy Saquon just dudes, come on, man, nuts nuts,
Like there's no never to say that Saquon is not
the best, potentially the best player in the league, or
at least the most consistent best running back.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
I mean, we've seen since I AP like, you know,
so I go, man.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
I'm gonna buy into some youthful defensive lineman. I'm gonna
buy into Jared Verse and Jalen Carter. I know Jared
Verse came out earlier in the weekend, was like, you know,
I hate Philly fans can't really stand it, and he
he bet his play backed it up. I mean like
he backed up his play. He played really good this week.
He hit what's funny is him chasing Saquon down. He
hit a higher mile an hour run than what X

(50:48):
if You're worthy has ever hit this season. So the
worthy is like the fastest guy in the league. He was,
but that's nuts, and uh, Jalen Carter two sacks so
it was double team, their triple team at least like
what seventy percent of the game, like he was playing
really well. So yeah, I'm going to buy into youthful

(51:09):
youthfulness at the defensive line, and let's go into cells.
What do we want to sell off on?

Speaker 5 (51:17):
Play off? Lamar?

Speaker 3 (51:21):
Piggybacking on that one playoff Lamar, Yes, he did hold
on the Ravens last week, so I think it's only
fitting to shift it into the gears of what would
happen next.

Speaker 4 (51:31):
Yep, yep, going with the what I touched on full
like just ripping the band off, gone with the wind.
The refs in that Chiefs game were borderligne criminal, not
even borderline. They showed themselves the world and what they've
been doing all season on a national audience.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
By the way, I just saw this, Joe Mixon got
fined by the NFL for saying, what's the pointing football
when every fifty to fifty call goes towards the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (51:58):
Will Anderson also had a really crazive.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
What about Jamison Williams. Man he was humping the field.
I mean, that's like a diabolical fine. We need to
know what happens there. That one was nuts to that
one field might be pregnant, who knows.

Speaker 6 (52:14):
You know, it's bad when your teammates have to be
like yo, yeah, yo, we're not doing like.

Speaker 1 (52:19):
I'm pretty sure he went on all fours the one
time and lifted his leg of as if he was
like peeing on something.

Speaker 6 (52:24):
So like, No, that was crazy, And you know what,
that is the most Jamison Williams, James and Williams thing
I could ever imagine.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
So good for him. Don't change Jamison Williams.

Speaker 3 (52:39):
Well, actually, maybe do because you keep in trouble with
the NFL, But you know that was I don't know
if I ever seen teammates act so fast to stop
a celebration.

Speaker 4 (52:50):
He didn't actually say that. He didn't say that's what
everyone's that's whatever.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
The report that was, Oh, well, that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
For something someone else said.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
Oh the guy. The report was, hey, I was standing
next to him the whole time. He didn't say that.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Yeah, well that's even crazy that Joe Mixon got fine
for something.

Speaker 4 (53:14):
He didn't say things that make it go.

Speaker 2 (53:18):
That's interesting.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
My cell is going to be on the Texans. I'm
really tired of them being on my TV screen at
four thirty on a Saturday in January. I'm really over it.

Speaker 2 (53:31):
It's the scheduling.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
No, the Texans own that time slot, four thirty, Wildcard Weekend.
It's always the Texans. He goes back through history, it's
always the Texans at four thirty. It's ESPN, CBS. Oh wait,
NBC had them for two years in a row when TJ. Yates,
who won the very first playoff game for the Texans,
was there. Yeah, I'm over Houston and being on my

(53:54):
TV screen at four thirty. Take a good nap instead.
What about these cells? Tom? What are you looking at selling?

Speaker 5 (54:07):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (54:07):
I pick it back? Playoff f mar so hard.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Okay, yeah, you went Jake on the Cells. Yep, all right,
And what are we holding on to?

Speaker 2 (54:16):
I don't know what you hold out this.

Speaker 5 (54:17):
I'm gonna hold on to those Texans that you were
just mentioning. I'm impressed with the fight that they showed
the last few weeks of the season for a team
that has very much disappointed. CG. Shroud has a sophomore
slump of a season. The injuries and the fact that
they could have won in Kansas City. They want a
playoff game when they were doubted against the Chargers. I

(54:39):
think the holds for the Texans. See if they take
the jump that a thought we all predicted this year,
if they do it next year, I'm gonna hold on
to Texans.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
You know what, two segments in a row. I'm gonna
pick it back off off of Colton. I'm gonna I'm
also gonna hold on Texans because that was such a
big advocate preason, like, yo, I'm picking Texans everything here
we go, We're going CJ.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
Stroud.

Speaker 3 (55:04):
I picked him MVP like I was like, everything about
last year is gonna get better, and then sophomore slump
as hell happened.

Speaker 2 (55:11):
Cool. Whatever that sucks.

Speaker 3 (55:13):
We gotta get back on that road and that team's
gotta be good next year. So I'm gonna hold on
to the Texans for next year. Let's see it back.
I'll train back on the rails like chugging away. Let's
let's see it happened. So that's a good hold.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (55:33):
I think I have to hold on Matt Stafford's career
because getting up there and you apparently been dealing with
a pretty bad ribbonury that he be aggregated in that game.
We we may have just seen the last game of
a pretty solid player of our generation when a super Bowl,
Yeah he did get one, Just like guys from that

(55:57):
era are now like pretty much like Leggatrons and long gone.
Matt Stafford's probably his last game. I just it, just,
you know, pretty sad.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
I was gonna say, is any the oldest quarterback in
the league? I actually forgot about Rogers for like a
hot second.

Speaker 4 (56:17):
Your brain just absolutely like he suppressed that down.

Speaker 1 (56:23):
I was in two thousand and nine. I'm like, oh, yeah,
you know, santis.

Speaker 5 (56:26):
Like, is he really the oldest guy left?

Speaker 1 (56:28):
And then it's like, oh no, hey, you're mud dark
darkness to treat Man.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
There were two thirty six year old quarterbacks in this playoffs?
Did Atlanta make this?

Speaker 5 (56:38):
No Russ?

Speaker 1 (56:41):
Oh yeah, Russell Wilson.

Speaker 4 (56:43):
Russ is that old?

Speaker 2 (56:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (56:45):
Crazy?

Speaker 1 (56:50):
I'm going to hold in the Lions. I want to
see what they could do at the coordinator spots. I
think Mark Brunell might be the next man up there
for the Lions, So I'm interested to see if he
can have the same success as Ben Johnson did so
and Mark Brunell. I mean, hey, he helped put sixty
two points on Dann Marino's last ever game in his
NFL career, So yeah, what about you, Cole? Where are

(57:19):
you holding out?

Speaker 2 (57:20):
And he held there?

Speaker 4 (57:23):
You're out of it.

Speaker 1 (57:25):
I am out of it. I'm shocked, dude. This weather sucks.
I swear I'm gonna I don't. I can't sit on
the weather. I can't, you know, because you know I've
been preaching about I've been preaching about buying buy old weather.

Speaker 5 (57:37):
Thank you, you've been asking for this, congratulations welcome.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
Okay, Well I'm asking for like thirty degrees, dude, I'm
not asking for you know.

Speaker 5 (57:44):
Oh no, no, no, it feels like it feels.

Speaker 1 (57:46):
Like my balls are frozen. I'm not asking for that.

Speaker 5 (57:48):
This is what you get, man, sorry to tell you.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
Okay, And here we go Conference Championship picks a hole.
Ooh games we have to pick from? Oh my god,
I don't know if we could get through all these
in the next like two seconds. But here we go.
Let's shift us up here, let's go down here. So
at three o'clock on Fox, the NFC Championship Game the

(58:17):
Commanders and the Eagles, third matchup of the year, and
the picks goes as follows. I am picking the Eagles,
Dom is picking the Eagles, Jake's picking the Eagles, and
Colon is picking the Commanders. Who could be the first
ever rookie quarterback to go to the Super Bowl I've
already said the list goes with Brock Purdy, Mark Sanchez,

(58:41):
Joe Flacco, Ben Roethlisberger, Sean King. He adds to that
list of rookies that have just been there. So Colon
has a little faith in the Commanders and as someone
who was really hoping for the Commanders of Rams to
be the NFC Championship game, so we could just call
it the Will Bowl. I'm really happy came to the
dark side here, collon the.

Speaker 5 (59:02):
Bill, buh, has nothing to do with you, has all
to do with Jayden Daniels.

Speaker 1 (59:11):
The Billy Bowl. I love the Billy Bowl. That would
have been that would have been it.

Speaker 2 (59:18):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
I'm getting the show done as soon as possible here.
And then we got the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas
City Chiefs here. Earlier this year, the Bills handed the
Chiefs their first loss of the year. They only had
one more, and that was with their second and third
stringers on the field in Week eighteen against the Broncos
here rematch of twenty twenties AFC Championship game. Obviously way different.

(59:41):
No Stefan Diggs waiting out in the field. He did
that last week on his crutches and stuff. He was
watching the caffetti fall there in Arrowhead, and the picks
goes as follows, Jake is going Buffalo, Colland is going Buffalo.
Dom's going Buffalo, and I am lone wolfing the Chiefs,
or as the commercial says, because you have to watch
it again, who are the chefs? We got that going

(01:00:05):
there and that lace gentlemen rounds at our show. You
can follow us on all those shows to media platforms
down below, YouTube for the fan network, TikTok for the
fan network, X for the fan Underscore, and Instagram for
the fan football. Next week we begin the preview Super
Bowl fifty nine in New Orleans, a mere eighteen days
away now, So it's coming, it's getting here. It's going

(01:00:31):
no Billy Bowl, but yes, it's on its way. It
is on its way as always. I am will and
we got Colton, Jake and Dom gentlemen, thank you, and
to everyone, thank you. We'll be live on TikTok next week.
Seventy five day ban there and we got one comment here,
Uh Jay says, commanders are going to Philly and serving BTA.

(01:00:55):
I don't know what that is. Hopefully it's not anything bad.

Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
But behinds boots to asses, it's.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
My favorite Jontcina prank call. All right, that's it. Tune
in next week Wednesday. Always we are for the fan.
Thank you all, See you next time, Peece
