Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome back to another installment afore the Fan.
This is episode number one seventy. As always, I'm Will
and we got Dom. We've got Jake here. Gentlemen, Hello,
good afternoon.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
You know that last episode actually, now that I think
about it, you.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Know, it's so crazy, how like the weather is like
this morning. You know, it was just monsooning. It was ugly,
it was just like the and now it's just like
Sonny and all that stuff, and your body just feels better,
and it's just like it's actually fall. It's not this
bullshit like heat wave that you know it's been going
through on the East coast.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
So I don't know, man, it's pretty warm right now.
I think outside it's there's a nice breeze.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
I got right the window open. I got my windows
open in my actual room. It's pretty nice. I gotta say.
It's everything you want. And then some though with the weather.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
At this time of the year, it's mid October, we
should be seeing some forties now, but we just are not.
We're not even seen.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Tomorrow. Tomorrow the low is gonna be like for three
the low is the low.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I'm not up at I'm not outside at three am
to experience the low.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
You're you're up at three there's a difference between waking
up at three and going to bed at three am.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
It's gonna be in the fours in like two hours,
like you yelling.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
About that might be. Yeah, I experienced a low and
I opened my window when I'm going to bad at
three am because I'm always up. But no, I I
the fifties should be. That should be the high right now.
And it's just like high sixties still. Man, it's okay
with the sixties.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
A nice breeze. You get to throw a flannel on,
but like you know, you don't have to worry about
like heavy pants. You get some nice like thin pants.
You're okay, It's it's good.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
It's going.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
You're craising.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
This is my day to day, you know, going along
a little bit long sleeve rowt.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
What all right? So here's the question, totally not football related.
What does this mean? What is the false truth that
we hear every year with the winter? Does this mean?
What does this mean this year? What? What complete fake news?
Does winter?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
I nailed winter this past year, don't even.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, but they said winter was going it was gonna
be harsh, and then it was really not anything.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
It was pretty cold last winter. We hard.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Oh oh it was cold. It was cold. There wasn't
it was sing just a lot, really it was. It
was like maybe like eight inches snow if that. But
there wasn't like a lot of snow. It was just
like an inch. That was it.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I feel like every year there's a new there's a
new telltale, telltale like, oh, the eight Chords are big,
we're gonna have snow. Last year we got decent snow,
nearly foot storm. Yeah, last year for once.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
I don't remember that snow.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
We got some decent snow this past But also the
snow is different twenty miles north where you are for me,
which is just weird.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You guys are closer to the ocean though in course
by then to me, that wasn't a factor last year,
which is crazy.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
It was like almost the opposite, Yeah, which is weird.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Odd. The winters never make sense.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I know, we're I know, we're friends. Down south in
the Maryland area, they got you know, a lot of
big snowstorms. But it's like it's weird, like we don't
get the snowstorms, but they get the snowstorms their south.
It should be global warming.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Because Jersey's flat and close to water no matter where
you are.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
That is fair.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
All right, I'm over the weather talk here. I just
want to hit the intro. Okay, you're listening to.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
For the fan.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
You are listening to for the fan, And here we.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Go, ladies, gentlemen, here we go. We got a couple
of trades here that I have gone down in the
AFC North, which is kind of surprising. You don't really
hear a lot of trades that go on up there.
But the trades inner division trade between the Browns and
the Bengals that saw Joe Flacco, the backup quarterback, go

(04:16):
from Cleveland to the headquarters of Skyline, Chile and Cincinnati.
Joe Flacco is gonna be quarterback one and starting on
Sunday for the Cincinnati Bengals and Odafe Oway a ten
sack participant precipient. I don't know something like that. He

(04:36):
goes from one horriball to the other harball all the
way on the West coast here. So, gentlemen, I want
to ask you, guys, what are we thinking here with
a big trades going down in the AFC North. We
got more a month before the trade deadline, so we're
gonna be expecting some more trades as we go through.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Well, I like your take. It's gonna take like one
drive Joe Flacco before he decides to retire.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Like God, bless his soul. Vante Davis, bless his soul.
He's not here anymore with us, but.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Blessed also Antonio Brown.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, it's gonna be like one drive behind.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
But it's like it's so it's so stupid though, Like
Antonio Brown retired with Tom Brady as his quarterback. That's
like the thing too, the ankle injury. I forgot ankle injury.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
That was a whole other time.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I never I'll never forget that.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
That was wild.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
You were cutting that game, right, Yes, I was doing
that game. So I'm just like and I just put
and think. I'm like, oh, Antonio Brown just took everything
off and he's walking off the field and out there
like what that.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Was so wicked?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Dude?

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Uh? And I mean yeah, I don't know, man, he's
got to go to the Steelers first. I think I
think you gotta make your full rounds.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
It's kind of like the Ryan Fitzpatrick thing, like Fitzpatrick
went you know, Bill's and Jets and Dolphins in his
AFC East tour. Now Flacco's Ravens Browns need a one
day contract as a Steeler.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I don't care do it. Play one game, which is one?
That's it. That's all I want from you.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
The oldest quarterback room of all time, Rogers and Flacco.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
I I was watching. I watched the clip from Pat
McAfee show and the tie. The green Bay Packers fan
was very disappointed about that trade because as a green
Bay fan, he was like, man, I just wanted Jake Browning.
I was so psyched to get the Jake Browning game

(06:30):
because I do think genuinely almost anyone at this point
is an improvement from Jake Browning's performance in Cincinnati. So
I do think Joe Flacco.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Flacco has quite literally been the worst quarterback.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah this season, but that's also it's not even like
his fault though too. He's just so old, like you
really can't blame him on that.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I also think the Browns are so washed and Stefanski
is just overdue. Nick Chubb Merchant, Yes, probably not, but
I'm gonna yes, yeah, yeah, I'm just over Stefansk I've
been over Stefanski as a head coach for a couple
of years now because it's all the same. I'm convinced

(07:12):
now he's only there to do the Gideveon Clowney thing
where it's just like, get Miles Garrett sacks. That's it,
that's the only that's I'm just convinced that is all
that the Browns are good for nowadays.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
The brands have had so many great people next to
like Miles Garrett, like Sheldon Richardson, Tomlinson.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah, we've said that is where you go to die
as a past.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Richard the defensive corner for his name, he literally said
that the offense is designed, oh oh, Jim Schwartz solely
for Miles Carrett to get his numbers.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Dude, I'm convinced that's the truth. I'm convinced that's the
absolute truth.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
On the other end, what are the Ravens doing really,
because that's a.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I would have to think the Khalil Mack injuries a
little more significant than well you first thought.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
I'm not concerned about the Chargers in like that makes sense.
You get a really good player, why would the Ravens
want to get rid of them? Also, their defense is
like gutted. What don't you need players to play defense?

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I mean they are what they were down like nine
starters on Sunday with like Rokwan Smith and like Kyle Hamilton.
They bring in they get Elannie Gilman the safety from
the Chargers, which means Tony Jefferson for the Chargers is
now safe on the roster. So he's gonna be you know,
having a more experienced role after retiring for a few years,
so he's back in action. You know, the Chargers. Just

(08:43):
bring back Eric Weddle at this right, go for it.
Just bring just bring back Eric Weddle.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Have we none in years?

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Like he came back for the Rams Super Bowl run.
That's when he came back, played, got hurt, still played
won and then he dipped.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah that's fair.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Now, let's going through my memories on my phone and
it comes up with the headshot of him and he's
just like gushing blood out of one side of his
head and they're just like just red zone. They're just
trying to like patch them all up.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
He's gotta be old now, dude, I remember Eric Weddall
so long ago.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Or you want to sign with the Eagles when he
went to the when he went to the Ravens, I think,
and that was we were in high school.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yeah, Eric Weddle's gotta be fastly approaching forty.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
If he's definitely over forty, he's gotta be Kelly was
our coach.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Okay, he's gonna be forty one in January, so he
is above the age.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Good for him, Yeah, good move for the Chargers. Questionable
move for the Ravens. Browns gets some extra draft picks.
Now they have seven quarterbacks or whatever that they're paying
dead cat money to pickets. Get pickets. One. I don't
even know if he's on the roster anymore, Kenny Pickett.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
I don't who even knows?

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Literally, a Super Bowl champion just you know, wasn't snap
of the game? Listen the most snaps that matter?

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Uh one? A Super bowling on the field.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yeah, yeah, he held the football of a Super Bowl,
you know, pigskin and he did it.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
I want to go into the injury round up really
quick here. So Niners update from uh practice not not
practicing today includes Rock Purdy, Pear, Saw Jennings, Watkins defensive
tackle Collins defensive lineman, Yetur Gross, Matos, Trent Williams's rest,
McCaffrey's rest limited, Mac Jones defensive tackle, West cornerback, Stoutling, Gibbons,

(10:48):
and Davis. Pretty big significant injury news there for the Niners.
Omario Hampton has placed on injured reserve after an ankle
injury that left him in a walking boot for the
game against the Commanders. Nakobe Dean is gonna make his

(11:09):
debut on the worst turf in all of sports, MetLife
Stadium tomorrow night, as when the Eagles take on the Giants.
Landon Dickerson is out and Jalen Carter appeared on the
injury report today with a heel injury, so he is questionable. Uh,
let's see Lamar Jackson not practicing today, so it doesn't

(11:31):
look like he's gonna be playing come Sunday against the Rams.
Tyron Tracy, who hasn't played since the Sunday night football
game against the Chiefs, he is off the injury report.
He is good to go. So the tandem of the
Crayon fanatic eating man Cam Scattavo and Tyrone Tracey are there.

(11:51):
Darius Slaton's been ruled out for the Giants due to
a hamstring injury. Let's see what else do we got here?
Kyler Murray's not practicing today with a foot injury, and
they're going to be taking it day by day, and
I think that might be all of it. Jermaine Pratt
signed with the Raiders. Well, the sign with the Raiders,

(12:15):
he got cut by the Raiders. Now he's with the Colts.
There we go figure that out.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
So what is the status of the San Francisco forty
nine ers quarterback room? Is Mac Jones the starter for
another week? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (12:30):
I think you should be for the season at this point.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
I think I picked up back Jones Fantasy. I know
Don got that notification. I am a firm believer here.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
You know what's funny about this, But let's go this.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Let's let's debate this. Let's let's add this to the
big question for a second.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
You know when I read that notification, Bill, Well, you
were reading the injuries just now. I read that notification.
I thought, in my head, I bet you he pulled
up the injuries before the show, saw that Brock didn't practice,
and he went straight to fantasy and picked up Mac jo.
I'll blame you. I don't blame you.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Yeah, let's let's have the first debate questionnaire. Okay, who
is the true forty nine ers starter? Okay, well, agree,
I mean Christian McCaffrey's definitely wide receiver one two three
running back, one full back, one quarterback two At.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
This right, listen, you know who Mac Jones threw eleven
passes to this past week.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Kendrick Bourne.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Kendrick Bourne, he's y R Number one on New England.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
I was about to ask, did he throw to him
at in New England?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Kendrick Bourne caught ten for eleven passes this past week.
That's insane. I believe that's correct. I believe that's that
line's absolutely correct.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
He had a lot of yards and then I forgot
who the other guy was. That was because they were
they didn't have kittle, they didn't have pearsall. I should
have sticked stuck with the Niners. I picked the Niners
and I should have stuck with it. But I would
have looked like an idiot if they lost.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
This is how it be.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Every time there's only one quarterback who is not hurt,
who hasn't lost the game, it's Mac Jones.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
DeMarcus Robinson, that's the other guy. He was thrown two.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Yeah, not much.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
I mean, I mean he came off suspension. He got
he was suspended the first three games, so he came back,
he came off and they played him.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
But just crazy ten receptions one hundred and forty two
yards for Kendrick Bourne. Mac Jones threw forty nine passes,
by the way, so he's clearly a part of the
game plan. Three hundred and forty two yards and two touchdowns.
That might be the most other than maybe Goff's five

(14:39):
touchdown day that we saw like week two or whatever
week three, this might be like the best statistical quarterback
day of the season so far. At least.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
I think Rogers Week one against the Jets was really
good as well. He wasn't having many incomplete passes and
he looked really good.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, I mean, I may be wrong. This is probably
top five. Nonetheless three.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
I mean also Baker this past Sunday and then Sam
Darnold this past Sunday too looked phenomenal. It was just like, okay,
like these two looked like, you know, they deserve to
be where they were packed at one and three.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Lamar versus Cleveland had two twenty five with four touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Solid any turnovers.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
No, I don't think so all right, fair, fair, fair, Yeah,
and only thirteen rushing yards, which is wicked.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
But I nonetheless Matt Jones as a quarterback who was
not supposed to start a game technically this season, I mean,
can you you can't ask for more.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Listen, the Niners are right on schedule. They paid a quarterback. Yeah,
now the new guy is coming in, which means that
guy is going to lead him to Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Not to men like here, Like Kyle Shanahan's system is
so quarterback friendly. It helps them understand the game. And
with as we've talked about in you know, our group
chats and all, it's stuff with Mac Jones and you know,
Belichick was just like non existent there, not really showing.
He didn't really care, didn't want to show him anything.
So he reached out to other people. You go to

(16:10):
someone like a you know, Kyle Shanahan, a Kevin O'Connell,
like you learned the game. And look at Sam Darnold,
he was in a Shanahan offense one year, went to
you know, O'Connell really learned it. Daniel Jones got released,
he went to Minnesota and he you know, for the
month that he was there, he learned under O'Connell and
look at him now, Daniel Jones looks like a competent quarterback,

(16:32):
and that's something you never expected to say. In the
year of twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Five, Baker had that like two or three game McVeigh
reclamation project.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
And look at him like he like he even said,
like McVeigh got my confidence back. I felt like you
know myself again. And you know, look at him now
and he's bawling and he deserves to make you know,
top five quarterback money.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Tell you what this game and there's not a doubt
in my mind, this is not something I need to
pact check. This game had the most yard tween quarterbacks
this season so far, by far. Like, it's not even close, Matt,
we're talking about mac Jones three hundred and forty two.
Stafford had three hundred and eighty nine. They could both
combine for five touchdowns. They both threw almost fifty patches

(17:13):
passes each just short by four. Like this was a
hell of a game, A hell of a game, are
you sure not?

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Like, well, the Packers and Cowboys game was another one.
It's probably up there, but yeah, dak at three nineteen
love Head three thirty seven, and I would think like
Week one with like Lamar and Allen.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
No, there's no way I did.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Lamar had too. Yeah, well Josh Allen had three ninety four.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
It's up there. Nonetheless, mac Jones is absolutely balling the
f out for the Niners. The Niners look like a
more explosive team. This was an enormous win for the Niners,
who are four and one, who are gonna do what
we said shouldn't do but will do.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
That's what we all knew going into the season. Okay,
the Niners have a very shit season. They're gonna just
bounce back. They're just gonna be a wildcard team. And
then you know that's that's yes, it.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Did I not say it still sleepwalk their way to
It's truly top of the conference.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
But like it's even more impressive too because how depleted
they are, Like I think George Kittle might be back
this week, but if not, he's gonna be back next week.
And they get a top three tight end to return
to the offense, so you get up a faller.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
I have never seen a team follow a schedule like
the Niners do. Year over year. They do it. They've
been doing it. Since like Alex Smith and Callan Kaepernick
like it's the exact same schedule.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Do you think the Niners? Do you think the Niners
would have made it to the Super Bowl twenty eighteen
if Jimmy G didn't tear his acl in arrowhead because
they were on fire with him at the end of
twenty seventeen. They were really good and then they were
really gonna kick it up the next year.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
I mean, maybe I don't remember, but yeah, there's that
was seventeen years ago, too long that I can't remember.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Was Jimmy G.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Like Jimmy G was fun back then?

Speaker 2 (19:14):
He isn't that he never needed to come back in
a game.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
I don't know if he never needed a comeback, but
he was like up there, there is never.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Know how well I'm gonna sneak away down there. So Dr.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Colton, who should be the starting quarterback for the rest
of the season for the forty nine ers, and.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
He brought party because he paid him a boatload of money,
but they could have paid like a quarter of the price.
And this did the mac Jones thing.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
This is what they do though they pay a guy
who you know proudly shouldn't get a bunch of money,
and then within a season that guy gets replaced and
then that's that guy that came in leads him to
a deep out run. It's like every.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Time, Yeah, I don't, I don't. The problem is there
a bunch of mediocre quarterbacks. You go from like Jimmy
g You know what the perfect word is, Oh wait,
the one that everyone says he's not system quarterback. So
it's it's what they are. I don't want to waste
a lot of time on him because I think this
is the third best team in the division, even though

(20:22):
they are scrappy, Like I think, it's a lot to
Shanahan's has a little confidence for Shanahan, a little boost
to him. I think he's a very good coach and
they just win games like they're beat up and they
win games like I it's a guy I would like
to have if he just keep them away in big
leads in big games, just kind of just throw him

(20:45):
somewhere else, take away the headset from him. But he's
a very good coach and approves it with what he
does with the quarterback position. He's never really had an
elite guy, and he wins games like brock perty is
not an elite guy and elite talent like a Mahomes
or Jayden Daniels or Joe Burrow when he's healthy, or

(21:05):
Josh Allen. He hasn't had that. That quarterback he's at Jimmy
Garoppolo rock party, Mac Jones, Nick Mullins, like you can
name every bump off the street and he's like won
a game or two with him. Like it's just what
he is. He's very good, and he has a system,
and he has a very good running back when he's healthy,
so makes it job pretty easy.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Here's my next question for you guys. Who had the
biggest standout game from week number five? There's a lot
of big performances this past week. There really was.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
It was.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
I'm gonna give it to a guy usually kill even
though I can see it coming back down to earth
the next week, won his team the game Monday night.
I will give it to the man named Trevor Lawrence.
Big performance from him. It looks a little shaky early
and hopefully maybe this opens up something for Trevor. Is that?
Oh yeah, Hi, let me go back to what I

(22:00):
will at Clemson running the ball like it opens things
up for offenses when you could run the ball, especially
a quarterback like having the mobility, and I thought Trump
did a great job at that for a guy that
I killed. By the way, I still think he's a buss.
So let's let's not act like what I'm saying here
is like hiding that I still think he's a bust.
But I'll give the credit words due kid. I had

(22:21):
a hell of a game Monday night, big lights, and
I can tell you I jumped all over Kansas City
in that one. I thought it was gonna easy money,
and Kid made a big play when he needed to.
So trile horns.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
You know what I'm gonna talk about? An underrated performance
maybe and or a performance that's somewhat maybe irrelevant and
we may not even see ever again, but I will
say Rico Daddle just out of nowhere two hundred and
six yards a touchdown in a comeback game for Carolina,
which every game for Carolina is all second half this season,

(22:55):
but randomly two hundred and six yards on twenty three carries.
It's fantastic. And now I'm sure people are questioning, like
what is Chuba Hubbard even relevant now? Again? Like what
are we doing here? And where do we go? I'm sure.
Actually I'm not sure. I know for a fact that
Rico Daddle was picked up rostered on an immense amount

(23:18):
of fantasy leads because of this. So you know, it's
got people questioning, which it seems like ever since Christian McCaffrey.
This is just what happens for Carolina. It got it
has people questioning who the starting running back is so
good for him career game?

Speaker 3 (23:36):
See, you're all wrong. It's the guy that we've been
like waiting for it to come back, and it's c J. Stroud.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
It's fair.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
You finally had that rookie season game again, what was
that two like two fifty ish four touchdowns something like that.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Only took a JV defense from the finally put up
numbers like this.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
I don't care. We have not even seen being this
close to Stroud that this Stroud in.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
A while, he needed this game to like go his way,
but now he's on Now he's on a buy so
it's just like now it's like okay, like now you
do like yo, wait and it's like, okay, what are
you going to be after the bye?

Speaker 2 (24:16):
I was say back to back games, yes, easy opponents,
but nonetheless back to back games, good games for CJ. Stroud,
good wins for CJ. Stroud. So you know, maybe what.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Are the damn near perfect passer rating.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
One point nine? Yeah right, I don't remember what perfect
forty eight is. Yeah, I do five completion.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
I do have one, But I want to, you know,
make sure I'm gonna be talking about in the right
aspect here, probably the best rookie that we've seen this year,
a mecha Buca what one sixty eight seven catches a
touchdown looked really good and he he could be arguing
for Offensive Player of the Year. I think he could.

(25:07):
But you know, he also has Jackson Smith, justin Jefferson
and Pookah ahead of him, and also Jonathan Taylor and
James Cookoo are having you know, career renaissance at least
Jonathan Taylor for this year. But you know, Abuka is
definitely by far the front runner for Offensive Rookie of
the Year, and I don't think it's gonna be ever

(25:28):
so close. So you just got a shout out to
Javonte Williams man career renaissance with the Cowboys probably.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
What he always could have been in Denver, but for
some reason, Denver running game is just kind of weird.
There's like it's like running back by committee for no reason,
because they all do rather decent, but they'll just be like, yeah,
we got four running backs and I don't really ever
know why, going all the way back until they got
Melvin or back to when they got Melvin Gordon from

(25:58):
the Chargers, it's just been that way.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
For Tean Moreno and all them.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Yeah, dude, it's always just been like, for no reason
at all, a billion running backs on the roster, but
good for Javonte Williams.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Always seems like they have a new one every year.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
They do, or new two, and you just come out
of nowhere and they're just like all having equivalent games
every week.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
I did have the one in here but the kicker balls,
But I know we kind of brushed up on that
last week. Could probably probably could skip that for this week.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, we had a decent conversation about is it is
it BS yet?

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah, we really don't know.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Well, yeah, we can get to some fantasy questions. It's
five thirty past the hour, Well it's thirty past the hour,
not five thirty past the hour. Geez, it's five thirty
Eastern Standard time. And we got Carter here, who says
Stafford or Herbert this week? I think gotta start Herbert
against the Dolphins? Or do you hold out for Stafford again?
Now you gotta start Stafford against the Ravens. That's just

(27:02):
like the easiest. You're just printing yourself free.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
But then it's like what Herbert against Miami? We were
talking about two top performances here.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Yeah, but it's also like you just see what Stroud
you have.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
But does Herbert have Pooka Nakula? He doesn't. No, And
that's all Stafford's gonna do is just feed pookaua what
row every play?

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Yeah, Quentin Johnson might go for like three forty plus
touchdowns for no reason.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
He's gotta hold under the ball after he catches a
deep one over the middle. Yeah, we got Dowdell or
Kenneth Walker.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
I would say Walker, but if you know Tuba's not
playing this week, then you gotta roll with Dowdell again.
The injury report.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Trade A J. Brown for Dobbins and O Lave need
a running back to have Chase Pickens and lad Yeah,
I mean, like why not whatever if you need a
running back. Running Backs are kind of hard to come
back this year, I feel like much harder than receivers.
I feel like the receiving game in Fantasy is pretty
deep right now. Vont Williams or what am I?

Speaker 1 (28:14):
What am I getting in Johnston? Is that I would
say qj's quintin Johnston.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
I don't even know how to answer that one.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Dude, I mean I'm starry Dravonte Williams. I mean today
Williams is I must start?

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Yeah, I mean that's also true.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
Dude, averages twenty points a game in Fantasy.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Would you start Dak or Mayfield?

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Mayfield has his best game of games against the Niners,
but also Dak in a game that's probably geting to
be another shootout. I think, yeah, I have Dak looked
good at Dak, Dak looked good against the Jets. I say,
why not you just roll with the Dak again.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
Would you trade Jacobs for Rice and Rashad White?

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Nope, No, Bucky's going to be back.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
Yeah, I don't know why you're needing to get d
White in that. No.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Jacobs is good too, I mean like.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
It's haskins Worth starting over Gent and a Chan. I
don't think so.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
No, Rashad or sorry, Rashid Ladd or Quintin Johnston.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Johnson probably Quentin Johnston.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Yeah, honestly, I think Quentin Johnston has a great week.
It's against Miami, who's a less than NFL defense at
the moment, so I think they'll have some big plays
with Quentin Johnson.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Should I give Ertz and Jordan Mason for Omari and
Hampton and Kinkaid. My running backs are JT and Judkins.
I don't hate it because Mason. I think Mason eventually
go down to earth. Mason will you know, probably split
carries again with Aaron Jones. But this is gonna be
like next week's last week with just Jordan Mason. As

(29:58):
you're a leader act uh dulling kon cater Hunter Henry,
I would say, Hunter, Henry, would you trade Jakoby and
mar Who would you trade Jakoby and Marv for? I
don't know what are you trying to look for?

Speaker 4 (30:16):
I was saying, I think I need to know what's
what's being shocked?

Speaker 1 (30:20):
What do you need? What's the position of need? Start
Chase Myers, Pittman or Quinton Johnston. I mean you gotta
start Jamar Chase Like, I don't think there's a word.
You cannot not start him. Uh, start Adams, Worthy, Pittman,
Godwin or Sutton. I mean, I say you start Adams

(30:41):
if he plays, Sutton could be the second, and Worthy
would be three DK for Marv Nah not feeling it
a wide receiver or a running back.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
I would actually consider doing that. I think it's a wash.
But Metcalf's literally the only guy in Pittsburgh, and Kyler's
allergic to marved a lot of.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
Times, Color is allergic to playing well.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Well that too. I mean I'm just kind of like, no,
Calvin Austin, by the way, probably the next few weeks
for the Steelers. So you want the initial like slam
Metcalf down your face, that's what you're getting. True of
these given me more consistent long term, To be.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Honest, Laporta or Hunter Henry, I'd say Hunter Henry.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
I just trust the Detroit offense to get the ball more.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Yeah. Against Kansas City, I mean they might have to
at times. I think both might just put up equal production.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
But I traded c D and Bill for CMC. I'm
one in for w or l L.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
I don't know, man, I feel like it's.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
So close, Like I feel like Bill just had his
breakout game, and he's gonna get even better.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
It might it might, It might be an l Once
CD comes back and it's really good.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
By then CMC's production is gonna go down becauseveryone's gonna healthy.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
It might be true Rico or Digs at Flex after
this week, I might go Diggs, Dude, we don't know.
I don't know how to feel about Rico. I feel
like that was a one off game. We're not going
to see that kind of production back.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
If he starts again next week, I think he can.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
I think he just saw his high for the season.
So yeah, I think that might be it.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Yeah, start to Zay, Chase Brown and DK. I'd say
Chase Brown and DK. I think Joe Flaker has to
target the running backs, so I think Chase Brown might
be back.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Maybe start John By the.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
Way, is Blacore actually starting this week?

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Yeah, you're starting, by the way.

Speaker 4 (33:08):
You know what, Now, discontinue on It is totally not
worth talking about the Bengals in any facets is continued.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
I'm sure we said it already.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Yeah, we had a whole We did have a conversation
about it.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
We have more heads. We had a more head scratching moment.
I think about always getting traded to the Chargers, then
Joe Flacker going to the Bengals. But the Bengals didn't
even call like the Giants about Russ or Jamis. Jamis
Winston could have kept them alive. That's like the best thing.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
That I don't That's the one I don't get. I
don't just continue, like I said, it's not worth wasting
my time on the Bengals on this one.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
It's all about money. They're cheap.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
I mean, if you do think about it, it could
also be a hey, Joe Flacco already faced Green Bay's
defense three weeks ago or four weeks ago or whatever.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
And like right, But I mean I would prefer the
Brown's offensive line way over the Bengals offensive line any
day of the.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
Week because I didn't want to actually shout out and
pay the money for Jamis or anybody else.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Jamis Winston's getting paid like four million dollars a year,
like it's next it's pennies on the dollar. It really is.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
It's more than Flacco, so therefore like, oh, less money good.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
I don't know, it might not be more than Flacco, but.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
Are we panicking over King, Henry Dumb Are you panicking
over Derek?

Speaker 2 (34:26):
No, I'm not. They gotta get him going more. I
don't know they.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
I think with Cooper Rush, it's gonna be like hard
to Yeah, I don't know, because you're expecting now heavy
run first.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Yeah, maybe that might be the case. I don't know
what his attempts are looking like. I haven't looked.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Let's see ideal targets from Myers and Worthy or Worthy?
What are you looking for, jack.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
Start, Diggs or Johnston. I like what happened with Stefan
Diggs this past week. I don't if that's going to
be his production every week though he's.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
Sent back to back the weeks. I mean this last week.
Elie also could have been a Buffalo thing. Yeah, but
he's also very good. Let's let's not kid ourselves how
good Diggs.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Is and him and Drake May seemed to have a
phenomenal connection this past week.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
I really think it was the atmosphere. It was really
like the atmosphere because like Diggs returned to Buffalo, he
definitely wanted like shove it in their face. And then
you know it's like Rogers going back to you know,
Met Life. He wanted to shove it in the Jets' face,
and that was his best team of the year.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
I do think it's starting to go somewhere, though. I
do think Drake May needs that like security blank. I
know he hasn't in Hunter Henry, but like that guy
that takes them over the top, and I think that
is Stefan Dix. I also think the Patriots are starting
to trust Drake May a lot more where it's like, Okay,
we don't just have to run the ball. Drake May
is going to make the right decision here. I mean,

(35:57):
did he did? He didn't throw a pick in that game.
If he threw picking the game before that last pick
was probably against the Steelers, and I think the kid
might have been concussed by the way, so, I mean,
you could probably scratch that interception off the floor. He's
been very good. I'm gonna give you all a sneak
preview on my bye Bye bye and that is Drake May.
So yeah, I think Diggs is on the up and up.

(36:21):
I think they've kind of this is what a lot
of people drafted them for, myself included, I kind of
sat back and held on a lot of my auction
dollars to jump in on the dig sweepstakes. He kept
falling and no one threw him out there yet. Drake
Ma had a really good rookie campaign and I thought
he needed a number one gut and he's got it.
And it's kind of took Forrabels. I think Rabel kind

(36:43):
of heard the five out of ten on the scale
was probably like, what the frig is going on here?
And copy doodle do. Here's here's Stefan Diggs the last
two weeks.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
And it also helps too, is Josh McDaniels, who, you know,
look at what Mac Jones was with the one year
of Josh McDaniels. We're like, okay, it the second coming
of Brady. We're screwed.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
He looks good, man. I guess he looks very good.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
I'm impressed some of those catches too. And some of
those plays were definitely quarterback receiver connection plays, like those
sideline plays you don't some of them you don't have,
or the dump off while the stiff arm two digs
you don't have that play like with just you know,
you gotta have a connection there. There's got to be

(37:28):
a little bit of trust, so that I do think
they are, like you said, they're starting to put it together,
which is nice.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
He's easily my favorite of the young quarterbacks going back
like last season, like Jaden had the hot start, but
May was always quietly my favorite as long as he
cleaned up the turnovers, which has happened so far.

Speaker 4 (37:52):
He's been very, very good. And that's why I kind
of jumped on the Digs wagon. I know it's been
a few weeks brewing and sitting on him, like gosh, dang, dude,
just sitting on my benches. I couldn't play him, and
then he had the week before the Bills game. Is like,
all right, Diggs is on the Patriots here, let's maybe
get the best receiver you have the ball, and it's

(38:14):
turning into something, especially last week. Again, is it going
to be that going forward? Probably not. I think playing
Buffalo is huge, like Will said, but I definitely think
we're on the up and nobusapon Diggs. I think he's
a start at least a flex play every single week
going forward until otherwise. At least that's for me.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
I did see in the chat Diggs or Courton Johnson
and like that, that's now a really tough question to me.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
I would say Diggs Man just like targets alone, Johnson's
like the big play guy. Yeah, and it seems like
they're starting to get lad more involved a little bit.
Like I said, Johnson's not That's not a bad situation
I had for a flex by the way, that's like
a great spot even between those two guys. But I
think it's Diggs on the catches alone, by the way,
I think like Diggs has to be a start.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Yeah, I mean that's true. They're definitely relying on him.
I mean the targets where the target share between the
receivers was like seventy five Digs, so they really were.
But again, that could have been the Buffalo game because
I know Digs. We all know Digs wanted that game,
so that there's also that part of it. But it worked,

(39:21):
so why not keep going.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
I got one that says Drake London or Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
I think Drake London he still had a really good
game right now.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
You know, justin fields and Garrett Wilson's definitely reminded me
of like the Blake Bortles and Alan Robinson of twenty fifteen,
where it was just like premier Fantasy players, but it
was just strictly, strictly garbage time. Yeah, And then we
got a defensive question, Packers, Browns or Steelers D this week.
I would say the Steelers because if they're facing a

(39:52):
rookie quarterback, it's gonna definitely they're gonna want to pressure
early and often. And then Dallas for Raiders D this week.

Speaker 3 (40:03):
Not Raiders, well, not Dallas ever.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
I would say Raiders just because it's cam Ward and
they've looked kind of terrible and if it wasn't for
a hilarious touchdown, they probably lose the game. Oh and
de Maricata just deciding to I'm gonna tell you team
is gonna start making this like a like a standard.
Just put the guy on the spot, Like what's maybe like.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Cursed him out?

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (40:27):
Why cursed him out? And then I got fined one
hundred thousand dollars for it?

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Why cut him when you can punch him? Come on, dude,
Like what do you think?

Speaker 4 (40:36):
Yeah? I don't I don't get that. That is crazy.
By the way, it's close teams games, uh, Arizona it
and so did the Colts yeap to this season. But
I just don't understand that, dude, you would have to
take the ball out of my hand. You'd have to
like pry it out my hand.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Oh yeah, it happened.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
I think like three times last season too, like Malachai
Corley for the Jets, he dropped the ball right Like,
what's the point of dropping the ball in the goal line?
Just like what is it?

Speaker 3 (41:06):
Like?

Speaker 1 (41:06):
Nope, nope, floors lava, can't touch the ball, can't do it,
can't do it.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
No, no seen stuff. By the way, professional athletes doing this.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
And we got one more questionnaire. Do you think Scattaball
will do good against Philly's defense? I'm win to four.
I need this one. Well, Tyrone Tracy's back, so who
knows what's going to happen there.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
I mean he'll get touches, he will definitely always get touches,
but yeah, I don't know what the production rate for
him is actually going to be.

Speaker 4 (41:34):
Also, if you need a win, I'm not relying on
a rookie that had a big fumble last week. And
oh yeah, Tyrone Tracy's back. I think Skadda was still
heavily involved in this offense. But must win territory. Yeah,
I hope you have another option.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
What's going to here? Game? Of the Week, gentlemen. A
lot of great games this week, A lot of great games,
a lot of good football. I may or may not
have fallen asleep Monday night at the primetime hour of
eight thirty, so I did not watch the game whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
So it was a good game.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
I know.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
I woke up and I like, see you guys, like
blowing up the phone and I'm like, oh my god,
cole One's in here, just going all like I knew.
I knew he liked them.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
I knew he liked him. Tell you what the Jags
did show up this week. I mean, legitimately, they are
more real than we accounted them to be. So I
think whether they are the division winner in that division
or not, whatever, but like they're more they're performing higher

(42:47):
than I think we expected.

Speaker 4 (42:49):
Shout out to Jake. Jake said he didn't love this
game going into it and said jackson had a very
good defense, and Jacksonville defense is kind of what ultimately
won them the game with that pig drive. Shout out
Devin Lloyd.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
Longest pick six in Jaguars history.

Speaker 4 (43:08):
I bet that's for a lot of teams, to be honest,
not in nine yards, I guarantee that's a lot of times.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
What was Malcolm Jenkins versus Brady.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
He's either ninety nine or oh yeah, like one hundred
and two.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
Yeah, is that what?

Speaker 4 (43:22):
That was great? It was a great game. I mean,
I'm just gonna take the Lotle hanging fruit again. I
feel like Seattle Tampa Bay.

Speaker 1 (43:29):
The score bug is was pure sex. That score bug
was the hottest thing in the entire world. Okay, the
throw the throwback, the throwback Bucks logo, the Royal Blue,
Like they need to just have a throwback week where
just all the teams were the throwback uniforms against each other,

(43:49):
not not the colors. Okay, I don't really care about
the red and the yellow Buccaneers and Rams uniforms for
Thursday Night Football, the red and the blue Christmas colors
for Jets and Bills from like twenty fifth team, Like,
give me just a throwback week, like just selling historic.
I don't care about these rivalry jerseys. I can give
a rats ass about them.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
Okay, I think it's two thousand.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
The Rams one's stupid. No, if it's two thousand, they'd
have the big sleeves. They're like Baggy on the show
on the like to the elbows. They're like that. That's
two thousands football, like nineties and two thousands football is
just like.

Speaker 3 (44:23):
The Kelly Green versus like that Blue with the big star,
Dallas with the white shoulder pads with the Thanksgiving one, or.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
The Giants throwbacks if you were to go down the
week like Jacksonville throwbacks. Honestly, Jacksonville jerseys for Monday, We're sweet.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
I love them.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
There's probably out of all thirty two teams, probably twenty
eight of them, their throw are better than current.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
I mean, I blame Nike for that. Yeah, well, any
blame Nike for a lot of things.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
Giving back on topic, I'm yeah, I'm gonna give my
team props. I mean the night game between the Patriots
and and the Bills, that was the Bill's first loss
at home since twenty twenty three. That was a gigantic
game for Drake. May kind of put him on the
map because all I've seen is highlights. All I've seen

(45:19):
is that throw from that angle way high up. So
that was I mean, that was an incredible when that
was definitely the best. It was the most I've legitimately
been invested in watching a Patriots game for a few
years now, So that was that was nice again to have,

(45:40):
not that that's something I should be complaining about. Honorable mention.
The skycam had quite a week, so there's that skycamp
with a few bats out of the air, so that
that was a new one.

Speaker 1 (45:55):
And not even a bad one. Was just a plain
old smack into it good.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
I watched that clip like seven times and I was like,
why did the ball do that? Am I is this AI?
And then I realized there was a skycam. And then
there's the kick, the Browns kick where I'm not even
still sure if it was or not, but that was
a little bit fishy as well.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
Yeah, yeah, I could be totally. Last the only game
that I actually sat down and watched like start to
finish was that Patriots Bills game.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
It was a good game. It was a fun game
to watch between them for once.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
The rest were just highlights afterwards, and.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
Usually when the Patriots go and play the Bills, it's
like December and it's like, oh, the fans just spent
four days shoveling the stadium, and it's that whole thing.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
So like the Google of scammed free labor.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
Ultimately, so it was nice for it not to be
that for once.

Speaker 1 (46:54):
Uh my game of the week. It's gonna be a
little bit of an underrated one. But I really enjoyed
the Vikings Brown's one, Carson Wentz with a signature comeback drive.
Who knows if he gets another one, but listen that
player to Jordan Addison. I'm like, there's no way he
just made that play. Like if it was justin Jefferson,
it would be Jake's like fever dream of like twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (47:15):
I did watch that game too.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
Like the like these London games, like they just seem
so much longer than any other game. But like these
fourth quarters of all these international games are always like
so freaking premiere doesn't make any sense?

Speaker 2 (47:29):
Are you gonna be excited to be sitting there?

Speaker 1 (47:32):
I'm not even I don't care. I literally when I
tell you, I I shouldn't say that, but like I
turned off the Jetskin to watch Red Zone because I
was just so turned off by it. I'm like, let's
watch some actual entertaining football for ones.

Speaker 3 (47:44):
I have a question regarding the Carson Wentz Vikings how
much longer is out?

Speaker 1 (47:53):
They're on a bye week this week, so I think
McCarthy comes back.

Speaker 3 (47:56):
Next week he's gonna play.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
He's I think I think he like he didn't practice,
but also they're like waiting for his ankle to go down.
I don't know if he made the trip over to
uh the UK with them, so I don't know if
he was in Ireland for them.

Speaker 3 (48:09):
Not gonna get my Carson Wentz return game.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
I mean, he'll return, but not in the return that
you're hoping.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Listen, we had a return game already where he had
to watch another one of his backups, Hoyst the Lombardi Trophy.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
I will say, this is the Vikings thing. This is
what happens to the Vikings. I mean, right, isn't this
like the thing.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
A ginger quarterback? Yeah, it's just always I mean okay,
but like darnld Wentz.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
Yeah, going back to like case Keenum, they have a
quarterback that hell, it performs and then goes That's what
I'm saying, and goes gets paid somewhere else and stuff.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
I said the wrong thing. I meant Sam Bradford going
back to him with his like seventy percent completion percentages.

Speaker 2 (48:54):
It's a Vikings thing. Man. It's rough.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
Speaking of rough, Let's go into this by selling holds
for week number six? Gentlemen, where are we buying? I
know Colton teased us with his little bye bye bye.
Did you also say the snow melts in May too?

Speaker 4 (49:12):
Oh that's a good one.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
Every Josh Allen post with him in like a Brady
Jersey is just so funny to me. But then the
Patriots posting the Stefan Diggs look at Josh Allen is
also freaking hysterical as well. I didn't think. I didn't
think the social team had it in them. I really didn't.

Speaker 4 (49:34):
I thought this was yes, so I already kind of
said feeling.

Speaker 3 (49:37):
It so, gentlemen, Yeah, I thought I was gonna have
my opportunity to finally buy Drake Man after holding him
week two, and I'm like, no, what now it's just
now just not fun because it's obvious and someone's gonna
else is gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
So I'm not.

Speaker 3 (49:49):
I didn't.

Speaker 4 (49:50):
Wow. Is that a shot at me for a low
hanging fruit again?

Speaker 1 (49:53):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (49:54):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (49:56):
Wow, that's crazy knowing I went all in on the
Ellen in New York season with the trade. Wow, that's
crazy all right, because.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
You're the only one. Huh, You're the only one. No,
mine is san Francisco with Mac Jones. They were I'm
riding this bit until the end of the season, until
it doesn't prove true San Francisco with the backup after
someone gets paid the season, after everyone gets hurt or

(50:24):
they have a high pick, like, it's just they're right
right on the schedule. It's too funny, that's true.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
I'm gonna buy. I'm gonna buy some of my holds
that I had previously. I'm gonna get these out of
the way. I'm gonna buy the Jags because again, I
think they are more real than we expected. I think
at has been a good a good committing to him
has been good. I think we saw Travis Hunter actually

(50:55):
have like the game that technically you know we should
be watching. I'm gonna buy Seattle because even though they
lost this week, dude, I mean, they have competed week
in week out, very heavily. They are a strong part
of that strong division. They're gonna compete again this this year.

(51:16):
They're gonna be right in there for the hunt for
the for probably even well maybe the division, but definitely
for playoffs. I'm gonna buy Tampa Bay because they just
they win. That's it.

Speaker 1 (51:29):
So I got two buys. I held them week one.
I'm gonna buy into them now. Daniel Jones. Yes, the
number one seed in the AFC right now, the Indianapolis Colts.
I don't know what Madden simulation we're living in, but
that's where we are. My second buy is the commentators
for the Panthers game, because they made that game seem

(51:51):
like it was such a ridiculous game. Okay, the Charlotte
Hornets announcer, like that was like the greatest thing in
the entire world. Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (52:03):
I'm gonna be the old man and be like, a
lots of play is actually worth all that. I can't
stand the overhype.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
I hated it, but it's just growing on to me.
Like that's what I hate about it. Think it's grown
onto me so much. I'm like, this is entertaining. I
love the value for this. So I'm gonna buy into
that guy, Eric Collins, I think his name is so yeah,
I'll buy I'll buy into mister Eric Collins for that. Hopefully,
you know, with a fox with a the MLB playoffs

(52:32):
going on, hopefully a lot of these games go to five,
so we could get another week of him somewhere. Maybe
it would be the Panthers game again. Who knows? What
about sales? Guys, where do you want to sell? Can
I go first to my cell? I got three? Go
for it New York Jets. I know I said I
wouldn't sell. I'm gonna sell them. De Marcado learn how
to use your hands and unfortunately I'm won't gonna have
to sell them. Mark Sanchez, I'm sorry, damn Okay Sanchez.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
That's that's that's a new love.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
That crazy.

Speaker 1 (53:02):
When I saw that video of him walking away like
that adrenaline, it was over a thousand on him out
of ten, like oh he was just walking away, just
covering up, like wow, Oh yeah, I'm gonna sell on
those three. Very bad week to be a person of
the Jets. And also Facebook Marketplace because I like to
scroll through it. Just a bunch of Sanches years. He's

(53:23):
going up there. I don't know why, but this is
maybe I'll get a steal.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
You know, this is kind of like a Jets crash out.
I never thought i'd see coming.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
And then just d Morcando. So Michael Carter RB one.

Speaker 3 (53:38):
Yeah, I'm gonna sell the Jets because I don't have
a better thing I'll just sell I'll sell our picks
because oh yeah, that was that was terrible.

Speaker 2 (53:46):
There was always that week, man, There really always is
that week.

Speaker 1 (53:50):
I think last year at a week where I had
like three out of like eleven or something, it was terrible.
We already want to say, oh, Colon.

Speaker 4 (54:02):
I'm selling in the Miami Dolphins, Scott, this team sucks.
I thought the Steeers had like one of the worst
rush defenses in football. The Dolphins said, holding my beer.
My co host for the show I do on Tuesdays.
He's a big Dolphins fan and he just rides my
ass about Kenneth Grant being such a bust for Michigan
and the Dolphinston which I thought it was surprising that

(54:24):
the Dolphins took him early. I thought he was a
stud at Michigan. I thought it was gonna work out
a lot better. But holy cow, he's been he's been bad,
and he's been getting thrown around. Their run defense is horrible.
Their defense is horrible. Their coach is a nerd that
takes forty five seconds to say sentences that take eight
sentence eight seconds for the normal person. This whole Mike
McDaniel thing is absolutely come to a halt. How the

(54:48):
hell do you get so conservative? I watched the game
because it was on a buy. My in laws were
over at my parents, so it was nice watching, like
having everyone together watching the Dolphins and boy or boy,
and I was sitting here holding my tongue like, how
is he this conservative? In the third quarter, you're playing
the Panthers, My man, just go you need to win
this game. They're trying to get some momentum goal for

(55:09):
Tua Wattle Waller and then yet there's no Darren Waller
in the third quarter. There's no Jaylen Wattle in the
third quarter, Like David threw away the freaking whole third quarter.
It's like, ah, Carolina sucks, and like slowly Carolina's building
momentum up and oh yeah, they couldn't stop the run. God,
I just I gotta sell the dolls. My goodness, it's

(55:31):
a master the last few seasons.

Speaker 3 (55:32):
McDaniel, Can you take that speech and run it to
uh Kevin Matula, because it's gonna be really funny next
season when Mike McDaniels our offensive cordator. We're gonna do
this one and done thing with the Sirianni guy again.
What a bum.

Speaker 4 (55:47):
It's just it's just very frustrating, like how like, especially
as an offensive guy. Hell, are you're not drunk stuff
up for wattle in Waller Instead you're giving it to
like in a fourth string wadeouts. It's very confusing. I
think his times, I think his whole stick has come
up in Miami. I think it's time to cut everything

(56:10):
out of my head.

Speaker 1 (56:12):
And what about you, dumb? What's your hold?

Speaker 2 (56:17):
The seller? Hold?

Speaker 1 (56:19):
Hold, sell, sell.

Speaker 4 (56:22):
Hold on, Wait a minute, I'm not holding. I'm not holding.

Speaker 2 (56:27):
I'm gonna sell Vegas. It's it's just so dude, it's
not it like I really expected more out of Gino.
I expected more out of which is not saying much
because I didn't expect much, But I expected more than this, dude,
because this is just not anything at all. I expected
more of a competent passing game from Gino, and I

(56:48):
expected more of plays being made. Like it's not like
they don't have some talent on offense enough that it's
it can be this sad. I feel like week in
week out they have the worst performing offense that we
see every Sunday. By feel so I'm out, We're done.

Speaker 1 (57:08):
Pack it up, Josh, is selling me because I don't
know how to turn on my gaming system. Give me
like ten minutes, big dog, I'll do I'll do what
I have to do in the next ten minutes. And
what about holds, guys, let's rapid fire these holds. I'm
gonna sell. I'm gonna hold on brock Bowers.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (57:28):
Week one, I held Stroud in a negative way. Now
I'm gonna just flip it so you can start up
more in a positive way. For he's a possible buy
in a week or two.

Speaker 2 (57:43):
Trending uphold.

Speaker 3 (57:45):
Yeah, so it went from me was almost a sell,
almost a cell. Now he's back to a regular hole.

Speaker 2 (57:50):
I'm gonna hold on Carolina because if they could do
what they do, like it seemingly every second half of
a game, and just put it together for two halves
of a game, they might be Genuinely, it's pretty decently solid. Uh,
but Bryce Young seems to absolutely shit the bed first

(58:12):
half and then we're like, well that's over, and then
second half seems to be pretty competent game put together,
like has a majority of his stats in the second
half every time. I don't know, it's a if they
could just figure it out, for a whole game instead
of half of a game where they need to like

(58:33):
come back or they need to put it together, then
maybe it'd be a different story. But I don't know.
I'm gonna hold because they don't want to quite sell yet,
because it just seems like every time they do so bad,
they end up by the end of that Sunday not
being as bad as what I was watching at one point.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
So last week, just sell Bryce Young, he's done.

Speaker 2 (58:58):
I don't know what if.

Speaker 3 (58:58):
Stats are, but touchdown seven, seven turnovers, three fumbles.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
It's just so freaking it's like, not atrocious, but not good.

Speaker 1 (59:10):
What about you?

Speaker 5 (59:11):
Coland?

Speaker 1 (59:11):
What's your hold me?

Speaker 4 (59:13):
I'm gonna hold on to the guy that gave a
little praise too earlier. I'm holding on Trevor Lawrence. Keep
it a little quarterback heavy in my picks.

Speaker 1 (59:21):
So and here we go. We're on the picks here,
here's our records. Let's get the banner underneath here away.
So forty four and thirty four for Cotland and I
and forty nine for Jake and Dom.

Speaker 4 (59:43):
Just retire.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
Five and nine for Coland and I. Last week six
and eight for Jake and then seven and seven for Dom.

Speaker 3 (59:51):
So yeah, there's always one. There's always one week. We
just do this.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
Last year, I think the it was the year like
I had a game like four picks. That's all I
had for like one week. It was terrible. But let's
bounce back. Okay, one week we did really good. We
all had double digits. Now we're just like shitting a
shit and everything. But here we go, Eagles Giants. There's
in night football in MetLife. We are all sweeping the

(01:00:20):
Philadelphia Eagles to another New York team, but this time
instead of New York, they're playing in London. The Broncos
and the Jets are going to be facing and we're
all picking the Broncos. Here back state side one o'clock hour,
the Rams are traveling to Baltimore to face Cooper Potential.
More than likely Cooper Rush and the Baltimore Ravens were

(01:00:41):
all picking the Rams on this. Then down to Carolina.
An interesting game, probably a lot more eyeballs on this one.
The Cowboys and the Carolina Panthers. We're all taking Dallas here.
This might be a bad.

Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
Beat, asking me again like a day trap game.

Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
Hopefully Dean Marcana holds onto his plane ticket as they're
going to be going to Indianapolis to play the Indianapolis Colts.
We are all taking the Colts on this one. From
the AFC South, we go to another AFC South team,
The Jaguars were the very electric Monday a football win
with the sprinkler had going up underneath Trevor Lawrence a

(01:01:22):
shoe on the game winning touchdown. Sam Darnold does look
into avenge a pretty bad loss that he had against
the Box. We are all Jake is actually lone wolfing
the Jeggie Wars. Staying into the sunny state of Florida,
the Chargers are coming into town pretty banged up with

(01:01:43):
the running back department. They are facing the Miami Dolphins,
who are desperate look desperately looking for a win. We
are all taking the Chargers on this one. Then in
New Orleans we go the Patriots, with an upset win
last week against the Buffalo Bills, who now are no
longer under They play the Saints, who won their first
game against the New York Giants last year. Well, this year,

(01:02:07):
we're all taking the New England Patriots. After a bye
week in Dublin, the Steelers returned to a form and
they're going to be playing a maybe a rookie quarterback
or Bailey Zappy, who knows. We don't know what's going
to be going on there, but we're all sweeping Steelers
for this week. Four o'clock hour. Okay, very weak. The Titans,

(01:02:28):
who came off of their very very surprising win against
the Cardinals. They're playing the Raiders. Coltland is praying for
a tie, and I am picking the Titans to win,
while domind Jake are U going Raiders.

Speaker 4 (01:02:45):
I'm picking the Raiders. I'm not foolish. For god, I'm watching.

Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
I think he's just going to tie. And then if
it's a tie, you actually get the point.

Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
I would give you. You would win the picks for
the year if you called out a tie and it.

Speaker 4 (01:03:02):
Was just win. If I'm doing this as a tie,
by the way, I should get you get a five
pick comeback or something here. Perfect.

Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
It's like Jackpot perfect weak.

Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
Yeah that is jack Park.

Speaker 4 (01:03:17):
Hey man, I'll stick with it. It's just a horrible game,
Like why couldn't we throw that one? Like Europe?

Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
Why not? Three AM a cartoon network?

Speaker 4 (01:03:26):
Yeah. Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
Joe Flacco is making his third team in the AFC North,
his home. He's going to be the starter for the
Cincinnati Bengals apparently somehow, some way, facing the Packers, who
we faced a couple of weeks ago. For the Cleveland Browns,
we're all sweeping the Gopaco on this one, and then
the game of the four o'clock hour. Who knows who

(01:03:48):
the quarterback is going to be here, Mac Jones, Brock Purdy,
who knows? But all we know is they're playing in
Tampa Bay. Third game in Florida for you know, this week,
and we're all going to Tampa Bay. Are we gonna
learn a lesson? Probably not. Sunday Night Football a good one.
The Lions Chiefs, we're all taking the Detroit Lions in

(01:04:09):
this one. Doubleheader. On Monday Night, the Buffalo Bills travel
to Atlanta to the Dirty Birds. They're wearing their throwbacks,
I believe, this week. So that's gonna be good for
the Falcons, the all black logos. So we're all taking
the Bills on this one. And then Monday Night Football.
I think they are wearing their reimagined Redskins jerseys this

(01:04:32):
week against the Bears. I don't know. They look really good.
I would definitely buy a jersey. But we're all taking
the Washington Commanders to that one. And we have Amber
in the comments, who's saying she's going to the game
for Atlanta and Buffalo Bill's Mafia.

Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
Amber, what is well, what is with the the double
header Monday night games this season?

Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
I don't you're you're asking me the wrong questions. I don't.
I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
I don't ever remember that being a thing in October.
Like I get it, like maybe.

Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
They did this two years ago. They did a double
header and I guess it was good, so they started
doing it more. But the seven o'clock and then the
ten o'clock winner not been good. But the seven fifteen
and then the eight fifteen have been actually better for
ESPN's ratings. Eagles played in the doubleheader. It's September two
years ago.

Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
It is kind of annoying. Like if the Monday night
game was good, Okay, it's one thing. The problem is
like it hasn't. So like two games is like okay, cool,
then you have no then you have like no game
into the four o'clock window.

Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
That's kind of I also do understand. Like when me
and Wall traveled to California a couple of years ago,
when we were talking to his co workers. There is
like this thing like on the West Coast obviously in
that time zone, where it's like it's we have it
on the East Coast, no problem, where you're out and
it's like, you know, kind of later in the night

(01:06:10):
and you're out at a bar watching the games, all
that kind of stuff, right, like late games, hockey, all
that stuff. Well, actually hockey is not much of a
word because they play late. But for football, we have
these night games that are true night games and stuff
and you're out and it's fun. And the West Coast
doesn't get that if the game's on at eight fifteen,
because for them it's on at five to fifteen. Yeah,
they get happy hour at the bars. I do get

(01:06:33):
the Well, now you have a game that appeals to
both kind of thing. I understand that. So that is
a plus. That's cool, but like I don't know, still
still weird. Also it's Chicago and Washington who are not
in that time Yeaine.

Speaker 3 (01:06:47):
And also why is it every time we we play
West Coast team this year in Philadelphia, they're all one
o'clock games instead of like giving it more to their
being in a four o'clock game.

Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
I don't understand this strategic part of how that stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:07:02):
Also, West Coast fans just hardly exist, ASNA say, I
don't think the West Coast fan base like fans are
like nearly like caring.

Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
I think the culture is just different.

Speaker 4 (01:07:14):
I just I know.

Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
I've heard plenty of people say that they like their
primetime games being five o'clock out there because then they
just all go to the bars.

Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
Afterwards, which is also another Yeah, I mean the whole
it's weird for us to think about and like put
ourselves in that because we just did. That doesn't exist
for us.

Speaker 4 (01:07:28):
I low key wish sometimes I was on the West Coast,
like I imagine like getting up early watching your sports
and you have your whole evening, like you have to
watch football all day. Here on the East Coast, it's
like all right, goodbye, Like during the freaking night game,
like right afterward these games are like ah, man, let's
you know, let's go out to dinner, like ah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
Listen, Dom and I did that. That was that was
fun experience. We we literally went to a sushi place
after a Rams game and it was fun.

Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
You can't do that. You can't. That's not even a
thing here.

Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
You're trying to win. That's what's great. That's what's crazy complaining.

Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
But like, dude, yeah, like.

Speaker 4 (01:08:03):
I'd love to watch all these games early and then
like be able to go out to dinner or something
Sunday night.

Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
Yeah, but Domini went to the Boise State and UCLA
LA Bowl and then we were able to get a
beer at like eight o'clock because after because it started
at four thirty of their time, we went back to
our hotel, got a beer and it was just like nice, Oh,
it was so cool.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Yeah, it's it's definitely something. Dude.

Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
It's weird. Do I want to live it?

Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
But it's a it's a fun weird.

Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Yeah, it's a different it's a totally change of pace
that we don't really even think about.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
But here's a change of pace that is our show
after a late spiel that we rarely have. But it's okay.
