Speaker 1 (00:00):
Why feel like you struggle alone? Don't you hate people
who never fail? Isn't it annoying when you see these
people and they have one success after another, success after
another success, and you're like, they never seem to have
any trouble. Some of these people, they just walk into everything.
It seems to magically happen. They have so much talent,
they look great all the time. Everything they touch turns

(00:22):
to gold. They never seem to sweat. And here I
am struggling and crying just for a little bit of success,
just to feel good about what I'm doing. But the
older I got, and hopefully the wiser I got, the
more I began to see that this really wasn't true.
You know, I had the privilege of meeting lots of
very successful people. But the more I get to know

(00:44):
those people, the more I find out they are actually
failing miserably in parts of their life. There's a billionaire.
He's invested in the markets, right hedge fund. He runs
a hedge fund. His wife runs one of the biggest
public companies in the world. She's also very wealthy. They
seem like the perfectly married couple, the power couple that
has everything. They are so unhappy. She is incredibly jealous

(01:09):
of him having an affair. He can't stand her jealousy,
and they just drive each other nuts. She is always
checking on him, hiring private detectives on him. You know,
his whole life. He is out because he just wants
to get away from her. Running around with other women.
Not a good situation each of them. And they won't

(01:30):
get divorced because they don't want to show the world
they're not perfect. But really their marriage is a total failure.
You know, I met somebody. He seems at peace with himself.
He studies philosophy, He's made a fortune in real estate,
and he seems to have everything in the world, beautiful home,
all these admiring fans, and then I find out he

(01:50):
has cancer. He's struggling with cancer. His days are limited.
Everything he has is going to go away. Why feel
like you struggle alone while other people have it easy? Nobody,
We are all going through our struggle. Every human being
I've ever met, many of them very successful, suffer from depression.
You don't see it. Some people have them favored with

(02:11):
blessings over others. What you have is as valuable as
what anybody else does, and that's a chance to know
yourself better, to accept who you are, and to appreciate
what you have. You have no reason to envy anybody's
success because your success is dependent on you, not anybody else.
