(00:03):
Welcome to Soothing POD's meditation. Inthis meditation, we will be exploring a
practice of unconditional self love, openingour hearts to ourselves with kindness, care,
and compassion. To begin, letyourself find a comfortable seated position.

(00:25):
Let your sitbones root into the surfacebeneath you, your heart space to open
up gently, and your crown tostretch up towards the ceiling. Relax your
shoulders, your arms, and yourhands, and then close your eyes.

(00:51):
If you've not yet done so,now take a few silent moments to let
yourself soften into this practice by relaxingyour brows, your jaw, your belly,

(01:22):
and any other areas where you mightsubtly be contracting. And then turn
your attention towards the breath, mindingits flow into and out of the body.

(01:49):
There is nothing you need to activelyseek here, just mindfully note any
sensations that come with breathing. Youmight notice feelings of expansion and softening,
various temperatures of the air as itenters and exits your body, or any

(02:16):
other visceral sensations that the breath stirs. Simply watch this flow with openness,
tenderness, and curiosity as you mindthe breath in this way, you may

(02:46):
notice thoughts arise that distract you fromthis present moment. When this occurs,
patiently and compassionately, just bring yourattention back to the flow of the breath,
or to any single point within yourbody, and just a few more

(03:16):
silent moments observing the breath in thisway before diving into our exploration of self
love. In the words of authorBo Taplin, self love is an ocean,

(03:53):
and your heart is a vessel.Make it full, and any excess
will spill over into the lives ofpeople you hold dear. But you must
come first. Many of us struggleto love ourselves unconditionally. We feel open,

(04:13):
receptive, and embracing of ourselves onour good hair days, when we
receive a promotion or pay raise,or when someone we admire offers us praise.
However, in order for our loveto be complete, it is important
to cultivate that same openness, receptivity, and acceptance during more difficult moments,

(04:36):
when our hair or skin isn't doingwhat we'd hoped it would, or when
our work is not received as we'dexpected. Unconditional self love is about recognizing
that we are worthy of our owncare, acceptance, and compassion at all
times, not only when it feelseasy to offer ourselves this love. Furthermore,

(05:01):
self love is not something we needto work towards attaining in the future.
It is something we can practice now, in any moment, even when
strong emotions or challenging thought streams arepresent. We can practice self love by
letting ourselves know that we see ourselves, that we are here for ourselves,

(05:24):
that we love ourselves unconditionally, exactlyas we are, whether it is a
good day, a rough day,or something in between. We are innately
worthy of our own care, compassion, and acceptance. So take a moment

(05:44):
to practice this now by coming backinto your body, let the forehead soften
as you notice what it physically feelslike to be here, and then draw
your attention to the heart space, letting the breath expand and soften this area

(06:09):
with each cycle. You do notneed to search for anything here, but
if thoughts or feelings arise, letthem flow through you with ease and grace.

(06:35):
You do not need to deny orcling to your experience. Simply let
the space in your heart provide refugefor all thoughts and feelings before they dissipate
on their own and as you becomemore attentive to the inner world exactly as

(07:05):
it is in this moment. Iinvite you to silently whisper to your innermost
self. I see you, Ilove you, I hear you. I

(07:30):
support you. I see you,I love you, I hear you.

(07:55):
I support you. I see you, I love you, I hear you,

(08:18):
I support you. Take a fewmore silent moments now to connect with
your heartspace, whispering to yourself internallyany final words of unconditional self love and
compassion. Now come back to thenatural ebb and flow of your breath.

(08:58):
Let it ground you back in thispresent moment. Now also note to the
earth beneath your seat, and thenbring a bit of light movement into your

(09:24):
toes and fingers. When you feelready to, you may slowly open your
eyes to the world around you.I hope you enjoyed today's meditation. See

(09:45):
you again six
