In today’s meditation, we will reconnect with the power of our roots, nourishing ourselves through our conscious connection with the earth. Only when we honor ourselves with the support, stability, and nourishment that comes from being deeply connected to the earth do we harness the energy we require to achieve our dreams.

(00:03):
Welcome to Soothing POD's meditation. Intoday's meditation, we will reconnect to the
power of our roots, nourishing ourselvesthrough the conscious connection with the earth.
To begin, take a moment tofind a comfortable seated position, either the
floor, a chair, or abench. Ensure that you are resting with

(00:31):
ease while keeping the back straight andthe neck aligned with the spine, and
then gently close your eyes. Takea deep breath in, and as you
exhale, you might like to releasea sigh to help surrender anything that does

(00:53):
not serve you at this moment.Allow your breath to anchor you amidst any
waves of thought or feeling, andtake a moment now to gently scan the

(01:19):
body, beginning at the head andmoving your way downwards. Notice if you
become aware of any tightness or tension, and if you do, see if
it's possible to soften these areas inany way. Pay close attention to the

(01:44):
areas that typically hold stress, suchas the forehead, shoulders, belly,
and the hips, as well asany other areas that tend to contract in
you, allow your breath to becomeslow and steady as you sink into greater

(02:10):
comfort and ease. With this practice, and if any tension remains or arises,
see if you might let it meltoff your body, trickling downwards until
merging with the earth itself. Takejust a few more slow and steady breaths

(02:40):
here, continually regrounding yourself through eachcycle. There is a famous ancient quote

(03:07):
that says, as above, sobelow. Often this quote is accompanied by
a symbol of a tree, showinghow the branches extend only so far as
the roots, and vice versa. This image and these words relay the importance
of strengthening our roots, of takingthe time to connect with the earth,

(03:29):
with our bodies, and with rest. In the modern world, we can
find ourselves caught up in doing,in dreaming, chasing, achieving, and
expressing, and while creating and manifestingin these ways is a gift of our

(03:50):
humanity, we often forget the powerof rest, power of ceasing all action
to reconnect with the earth and ourphysical bodies. If we consider these words
as above, so below, wemight consider that our wings will only reach

(04:13):
their fullest potential when they are balancedwith groundedness, only when we honor ourselves
with the support, stability, andnourishment that comes from being deeply connected to
the earth, do we harness theenergy we require to achieve our dreams.
So let us take the rest ofthis time here together to ground ourselves completely,

(04:40):
resting the racing mind, so thatwhen it comes time to engage outwardly,
we are ready to do so withradiance and vitality. Taking a moment
to tune into the physical body, strengthening the spine if it has collapsed forward
at all, and then allow everyunnecessary muscle to soften once again. Now

(05:11):
tune into the earth beneath you, noting each inch of your body that is
in contact with the floor or othersurface you might be resting on. In
your mind's eye, begin to envisionthat invisible roots extend from each square inch

(05:36):
of your body and into the earth. They travel through the floor, through
the foundation of the building you arein, and deep into the Earth's crust,
gathering nutrients that will replenish your energystores. Witness these nutrients traveling up

(06:08):
through these roots to your physical body, nourishing every cell that requires love and
support. Take a moment now totune into any areas of your body that

(06:28):
are in the greatest need of lovingenergy, and as you envision your roots
accumulating nutrients. Pass these on tothe areas in need. As you practice

(06:58):
this, witness your roots becoming stronger, happily supporting you as you rest and
reset. If any thoughts arise, soften the forehead and then invite these thoughts

(07:26):
down to the heart. Then comeback to the strength in your roots.
Take just a few more moments tosoak up these currents of energy, sending
this revitalizing nourishment to the areas thatmost need it. Gently, let this

(08:07):
visualization soften as you return to yourbreath, watching its natural ebb and flow
through the lungs. When you areready to return to the outer world,

(08:31):
take one final deep breath in andout, and then gently open your eyes.

(08:52):
I hope you enjoyed today's meditation.See you again. He is um um um
