Speaker 1 (00:22):
What's up? What's up? Everybody? We are here, We are here,
We are in the house tonight. It is Friday Night
from the Forum, your Q and a show, and man,
I've got a crew. What's up, fellas? How's it going? Yo?
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yo yo yo.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yo yo yo yo.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
You know it occurs to me on this Friday. This
is this is the last last show of the year,
right like last twenty twenty four show.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
I mean, for Rum the Forum, we'll still be live,
but it is for most fantasy players, including Zach, I
know you and I in a pretty significant league. It
is the end of the season. Championships are here. And
let me tell you, I shed a teared joy this
(01:19):
weekend when Travis Kelce decided to open up a can
of if it was a week for it to happen.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
It was this week.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Total.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
For god, he was on the field.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I mean, he's just I don't understand how this guy
even gets open sometimes. We were talking about this at work. Look,
Travis Kelce is great, literally broken all time great record.
He just looks so unathletic doing it, Okay, I mean
he looks slow, like I don't know how he I
don't know how he fools these linebackers. I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Look, he's good at finding space and the defense and
finding the gaps. He does look a little frumpy, but
I'm happy for a TD every now and then.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Let me get some unbiased analysis. Okay, Tyler, we know
how you feel about that.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
The gaps. The gaps were twenty yards apart. I mean,
I just don't understand what Pittsburgh's philosophy was. Is all like,
we're just gonna let Travis Kelcey beat us, and that's okay.
I mean, at some point it had to stop, and
it never did. I don't from that standpoint, I don't
get it, Like take the dude away and make somebody
else beat you, and they just they didn't do it.
(02:30):
They let him catch it, they let him run for
twenty yards, they left him opening the end zone. It's
beyond me. But if you're a Kelsey manager, like you said, Tyler,
what a week for it? I mean, what a way
to kick things off. Not fun if you're going against Kelsey.
I am going against Kelsey in one matchup. The only
saving grace is he also had mix in, so the
(02:52):
two of them.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Together balanced out a little bit.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Yeah, it wasn't feeling good though it was not feeling
good before the second game of the day, and now
I'm feeling a little better.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
This was such a setup. It's gonna be like the
Brett Favre and the sac guy like all over again.
There's gonna be like Tony Gonzalez is gonna be talking
one of these DB's going like, I want my record back. Okay,
you just gave it to Tony Gonzalez.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Well, look, guys, we are happy to be here. Thank
you for tuning in. We already got some people popping
the chat, so we're gonna hit some questions up. This
is your Q and A show, So hit the like button,
hit the subscribe, and drop your questions in the chat.
We are here for you, hopefully help you win a championship.
And the first question starts off like with, I mean,
(03:39):
everybody's feeling this. I know I was feeling it in
my Super Flex League. Dad bod here coming in. Hurts
is out for me. Hurts is out, a top top quarterback,
a dual threat is out, and he's wondering should I
get picked off Waivers? I'm thinking, no, what do you think?
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Who? Who's the Is he the only I mean, you
gotta play a quarterback, right, what are your what are
your options are?
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Dad, Bud, You gotta let us know what your options
are there, because like, like none of us wants to
play picket in the championship week.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I won't tell you anybody I played Rudolph over picket.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
I'll tell you I'm going through some of the waiver
options in our league of record, Tyler and I where
you're living on this, and one of them just sticks
out to me, like I know he's out there. So like,
Bryce Young at the back half of this year has
had an absolute, like total change from how he started,
and he's playing the thirty first passing defense this week.
Like that's a great streaming option if you've got to
(04:38):
go use it, like go grab him up piece. You
don't have to waiver claim him. He's like free to
add right now.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah, cue the Jalen Coker fans.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Duets, let's go.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
This is gonna be talking about this. We just talked
about this on a show right before this as well.
I mean, Bryce Young is a good play, Rudolph is
fine if it's over picket. I mean I'm playing Michael
Pennis Junior Overpiket. I mean there's.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
There.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
There's a lot of guys there. Rudolph, I see you,
Chase Rudolph, Mac Jones.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
There we go Rudolph or Mac.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Jackson, both of them, all right, Jacksonville's defense is as
bad as the defense Bryce Young is playing. So if
Bryce Young is not there, this is kind of the
Bryce Young you know one b right, I have I.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Have Mac Jones and Mason Rudolph ranked twenty seven and
twenty eight back to back. So it's kind of a
horse apiece there. Flip your flip your coin and decide
who you want to roll with. But yeah, I'm taking
both of those guys over picket, I think right now.
I'm just I'm not I'm not excited about the the
idea of the guy that's been the backup and hasn't
really seen any any time, Like Jones has at least
been in there for a while, and Jones has had
(05:46):
a couple of usable games. Mason Rudolph, we know that
in the past he's done some things. He's got some
weapons there. There's weapons there to be had for Kenny Pickett,
but he just hasn't played as much this year. And
I'm I'm I don't have the confidence in him that
or like like we said, I mean, man, Bryce Young
will look really nice. But if your options are Rootolph
or Jones, yeah, take one of them over. Pick it.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Yeah, you know it's it's definitely we're hitting that where
we're uh, you know, we're having to make those shoot choices.
Dab By saying, appreciate you guys, Hey man, thanks and uh,
you know, Q appreciate you being on the network. Man,
he's been there hanging out with us, dropping questions. In
love the community. I love having you on there, so
(06:26):
appreciate that. If you're not a member, go to Fantasysports
Advice dot com and sign up for the social media network.
We got Sean coming in. Two wide receivers in a
flex all right, we got London Wilson, So I'm saying
that's Garrett Wilson, Malik Neighbors, and Dobbins. So the question
is first, uh, and we can start with you, Chase,
(06:47):
who's your top two wide receivers in this group that
you are that there must plays this week.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
I've got Malik Neighbors at fifteen. I've got Drake London
at sixteen. Wilson is twenty one. So it's as in London.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
For me, it seems to be pretty much in agreement.
So then when it comes between Garrett Wilson or JK.
Dobbins standard scoring, so no PPR bonus, who you going with?
Speaker 2 (07:14):
If Dobbins is truly healthy, I mean, I know they
they activated him, and if if they're truly gonna play him,
I mean I might have to think about that because
I mean we all know that there's the five hundred,
the Aaron Rodgers five hundred touchdown, you know, drama going
on this week. There is no way on God's green
(07:34):
and blue Earth that he wants to throw that thing
to anybody but DeVante Adams. He wants Davanta Adams to
catch his five one hundred touchdowns so bad he probably
can taste it. And I'm just not sure there's there's
been drama with is Wilson will be back next year?
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Is he not?
Speaker 2 (07:47):
I'm not necessarily so sure. How you know how well
everything's going there? If if they're gonna play Dobbins, if
they're gonna start him, I kind of think I have
to I have to think long and hard about putting
Dobbins in there. I mean, it sucks. You have to
make the call tomorrow, but he's playing New England and
New England is not good.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
So Evan, you're you're a you're a Chargers fan over there.
I mean, how do you feel about that?
Speaker 4 (08:12):
First off? I don't like that they put the Chargers
at the ten am slot on a triple header, but
you know we can't. Well here we are so you know,
but hey, winning in the playoffs in real football, so
no excuses against a bad team. They Chargers should get
it done. The problem though, Chase said, like what is JK.
Dobbins doing tomorrow? Like are they gonna put him right
(08:32):
back in? And even then, like he was never getting
thirteen fifteen, like he was getting nine ten carries and
making the most of it. So is he gonna come
on the scene and do the same thing the Dolls
had a chance to be acclimated. They obviously like him.
He's explosive, He's gonna get used. Harbaugh trust is on Haskins,
(08:53):
Like none of that's good for fantasy, but that's the
reality of how this team functions. I'm just hesitant for
first week off the injury that they just give him,
you know, ten plus carries and does he get the
goal line work. We've seen Haskins in there right at
the goal line at times, so like, I'm just it's
hard for me to trust that when I know that
(09:14):
Garrett Wilson's at least gonna be on the field. I know,
like said, Chase Davante is probably gonna get that. But
like Garrett Wilson's on the field the whole time, he
still should be getting targets. He's been mad multiple weeks
in a row. I don't know if they care about that,
but you know, he should get the rock. I just
think I have to play Wilson with not knowing how
Dobbins is going to be used in this game.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Hey, and Evan, Like we talked about Kamani Vidoll on
our show on Wednesday night. I mean, I'm just not
so sure what the heck they do think of him
over there in in Los Angeles. I mean we talked.
I brought up the idea that, like you know, Harball
loves his Michigan guys, Haskins is a Michigan guy crime
and he has used Haskins as the passing down back
and was throwing to him, And I think the fantasy
(09:55):
community all thinks that Kamani Vidoll should be a passing
down type back. He should be a guy that's catching
the ball because he is explosive. But they just they
just seem like they don't really want to give him
the ball ever in any I mean, he doesn't get
any carries hardly at all. He doesn't necessarily get on
there on passing downs. I don't know if it's because
he can't pass block or what. But do they really
(10:15):
like kim Oni Vidall or is this gonna be one
of those guys like sky Moore that the fantasy community
keeps waiting and waiting and waiting to be a thing,
but he never pans out.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
I think they're just gonna it could be a mix
of both. But wait and see. I think Harbaugh's just
a traditional He trusts on Haskins, he's a pro, right,
he trust Dobbins, he trusts Edwards. I think it's more
of that right now. So it's kind of wait and
see right on the long term part of Vidal, because
we see a few times he's caught the ball that like,
he can't be shifty and iifty, you know, he's moved
(10:46):
around a little bit, you know, But I agree with you.
I mean it's kind of a wait and see. I
think they just want to trust the guys they have,
especially with the fact that like they're trying to make
the playoffs, this is now a game on the road.
And let's not forget last week what happened they put
the give the ball to Justin Herbert. New England can't
stop the pass, right. They took over that game when
they let Justin Herbert slang the rock. Justin Herbert is
(11:08):
an elite quarterback, precision passing. Just let the dude slang
the rock. So how much do they even run the
football total in this game? So but long term yeah,
I mean Wade and see on Vidal, I don't know.
I think they just are kind of easing them in, right.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
So this week it sounds like it's a flip a
coin between Wilson and Dobbins. If you feel confident that
Dobbins is going to get a workload, like a true workload,
or he's going to get those touches, roll with it.
There's also the chance that he doesn't. So it is
a risky play, good ceiling, but risky play. And then
you have Garrett Wilson, who we will see. Then the
only reason that I would even consider Dobbins in that
(11:45):
role is because it is standard scoring versus PPR, and
we know Garrett Wilson's depth of target is not significant.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
You could come up with four and a half points,
so you could come up with eighteen and you don yeah,
you just and you never know.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Yeah, So if we got a super chat in here,
so I want to make sure we jump to that
as you guys know, you know, we're here to answer
all your questions and we will make through all of them.
I might have to concise down the answers a little bit,
and maybe not everybody gets to uh speak to each one,
but when you drop a super chat in, we want
to make sure to say thank you. So we jumped
(12:19):
to your question immediately and then we'll cut jump back
up to the to the chat and keep going. So
we got one from I'm not gonna pretend like I
can pronounce that name, but he said I got a
few for your boys, and we're gonna go one, two, three,
So I'm gonna get Evan Zach Chase. He's got three
questions in here, so, uh it is three different It
(12:41):
sounds like a few different leagues. Half point PPR first
question to you, Evan, Bryce Young or Drake May.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Bryce Young.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
All right, so Bryce Young, I agree, Bryce Young has
been playing lights out. He's got a good matchup. Let's
see Zach, Brian Thomas Junior or A. J. Brown.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
So I like both of these guys, but I like
Brian Thomas Junior here. He's the seventh wide receiver. Like overall,
you'll probably stay either way, but I like Brian Thomas there.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
You know, Brian Thomas Junior has been consistent for a
long bomb like every game, like he can put up
nothing and then all of a sudden in the fourth
quarter a sixty yard touchdown. And so with that kind
of ceiling or that kind of possibility, I don't know
how you put him down. And especially with no hurts
this week throwing to AJ Brown, that puts a damper
on that parade. Even though Pickett did seem to look
(13:37):
his way often on Sunday, I still don't want picket
over you know, over It sounds crazy, but over Mac Jones,
like Mac Jones has been getting the ball to to
Brian Thomas Junior.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
It could be some weather in that game in Philly too.
I don't know what the update is, but it could
be real wet and nasty too.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
So yeah, Brian Thomas four touchdowns in three weeks, let's go.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
And then chase Jaden Reid or Debo you get the doozy.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Because Debo actually played last week and had himself a
day finally for the first time literally in all season.
Pretty much. You know, here's my thing right now in
my rankings, and I'm in the process of updating my
rankings right now too. Well, I have to pull herts
out of my rankings and some other things right now
in my rankings, if you check them out, I've got
(14:30):
Deebo Samuel ranked ahead of Jayden Reid, but I'm rethinking
that and I'm gonna put Jayden Reid. He will be
ahead of Deebo Samuel when I released my newest rankings
because Jayden Reid had a great game against the Minnesota
Vikings in Week four, twenty three points six I think
half PPR points. It was like seven of eight ninety
some yards he scored. He was all over the place
for them, and I think this game is going to
(14:52):
be another shootout. And the thing is is that Green
Bay has been a fantasy heard we know that, but
I like how Jayden Reid matches up against Minnesota. Deebo. Yeah,
he's facing a banged up Detroit team where serious seemingly
anybody who's been hurt. But Jaden Reid I think is
due for another big game against the Minnesota Vikings. I
like that game to be a big shootout to go
(15:13):
with the over. I think it's gonna be haymakers left
and right, and I trust Jaden Reid to be able
to catch more of what's thrown to him in that
offense than I do. Say if Watson were to play,
or Dontavian Wicks and Romeo Dobs just isn't quite as
explosive as as Jaden Reid. I'm gonna go with read over,
samuelor love it.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
We got Jerry popping in what's up, y'all, appreciate your
tuning in. Jerry Albert coming in what's up? Fellas, And
we're gonna go back up and continue with the questions,
and we're going to mister Magic Cooper Cup or Grindo
Dobbins or Spears. Anybody want to volunteer for this one,
(15:58):
Miranda and Spears. I feel like you got a lean grenda,
even though that that that you know San Francisco run
game with Patrick Taylor has really struggled, but you know
they want to get him involved and he's been explosive,
whereas you know, Cup's been very hit or missed, and
it seems like Pooka Naku has taken that top route.
(16:19):
You know, Zach, I know you follow the Titans pretty
pretty close, and you've got some Dobbins shares. Are you
leaning Dobbins or Spears this week?
Speaker 3 (16:28):
So Spears is absolutely heat, Like he's on a heater
right now, and they're playing a I want to say
bottom half, but it's really probably like a bottom twenty
five percent rushing defense this week. I love Spears. I
like Dobbins, you know, and we had him on the
earlier question too. Dobbins for me, like, if you're considering him,
you have a projection that's not not so great for
(16:48):
the week, and you're just looking for a higher ceiling
guy that might get you over the hump. They're a
safer place. So I like Tyj there. I'm not playing
Cooper Cup for some reason. This dude's Ice Colt right now.
So I like Grinda, I like Spears. I think that's fine.
Dobbins would be three. It's sad, but I'm putting Cup.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
Four here, all right, Philly D or Colts D Chase,
what do the rankings say.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Philly or Colts? I have the Colts ranked as my
number one defense of the week. I have the Eagles
at three. I'm going Indya all the way here, just
I have no faith at all in New York and
what they allegedly do on offense. So I'm gonna lean
Colts on that one now.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Tyrone Tracy Junior is a go.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
I just want to see if it changed anything.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
And I had him in my home league. He didn't
help me hold a whole hell of a lot when
when Derrick Henry took a snooze on the first week
of the playoffs. Either, No, Tyrone Tracy could be active
all day long if he wants, But they're still not
doing anything on offense that anybody's got to worry about.
I still have India at first.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
So all right, Evan, So Ninyo Pina coming in. He
says it's a big play bonus league, and I'm leaning Kyler.
But the question is Kyler or Nicks versus Cincinnati.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
Oh Man?
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Big play?
Speaker 4 (18:13):
I I think I'm still I'm going bo Nix unless
here actually be back up check the weather. But last
I saw the weather has kind of shifted where this
game should be okay, like the weather should come in
after where it really affects. Cincinnati has been terrible against
the past. I know that Kyler's been solid, even though
(18:37):
he hasn't played great, He's still putting up points. I
just think Cincinnati's gonna be able to score the football too,
like you have to score. I do think Dever's gonna
try to run the football to kind of negate Burrow
being on the field, Like That's what I'm gonna do
if I'm the Broncos, right, I'm trying to keep Burrow
off the field. But Nick is gonna have to throw
in Cincinnati. We've seen them be susceptful all year long
to the big play. Nix isn't afraid to throw it.
(19:00):
He's got rushing upside too. Kyler hasn't really been running
the football, and I don't like what I saw out
of Kyler last week. I mean McBride was open all
day and he missed him all day long. I mean,
if you watch that film, he's open on every play,
and I don't know if Kyler just can't see over
the line, if he's thinking about call of duty, I
don't know. I like Kyler, I've liked him all year.
(19:22):
He has the upside two For me, it's real close, though,
I have Nicks right ahead of Kyler. I'm going bone Nicks.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
I like the Knicks big play potential. You know, he's
been airing it out and he's not afraid to run it.
And so if you do have a big play bonus,
I think you can get it with a with a
chunk downfield.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
You know.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
You got something to say the chase.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Yeah, Kyler. Kyler's running for five touchdowns this season, dude,
and he still is Kyler. He still can make those plays.
He has not been hitting the downfield plays. That's the
problem is that he used to just oh, if it
knocks down there somewhere, let's go. And Nook came through
and right now, if he tries to throw it down
field of Marvin Harrison, Marvin Harrison's only catching a little bit,
(20:10):
and I mean a little bit. Over one out of
every two passes is thrown his way, short, long, or otherwise.
God it sounds weird to say, but yeah, I mean
I have Nicks ranked one spot. I had a Kyler
in my rankings. But if you're going to go big
play bonuses, yeah, Nix is probably the better play.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
Well, sorry, go for it now, just because I like
the game that has playoff implications for both teams. Yeah,
the Bengals, right, like those two teams that are going
to be playing. All the cars to do is spoil rams.
Now that's divisional, So sometimes that matters. But I like
the one where like it's it's you got to win
to get in right, and so you know like that
(20:47):
that that's for me. Bo Nicks is there. Like I said,
it's kind of like Dobbins Nick says, like a higher
ceiling in this matchup. I think than Kyler does.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Love it, love it. We got a question from over
on twitch thanks to our twitch twitch fans tuning in.
Should I stop start Bucky Irving or James Cook? And
let me tell you, I lean. It's hard not to
lean Bucky, But it's also hard not to lean James Cook.
He has been electric in that offense. He is hot
(21:15):
right now and I don't know that you can put
him down.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Who else do you have that your choices are between
two top plays? This week, dude, good work.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Congratulations, there's a reason you're still playing this week.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Apparently, Holy cow, I've got at nine, I've got Cook
at eleven. So I mean, yeah, you can't go wrong
either way.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
So it sounds like Chases at nine and eleven says
Bucky is slightly ahead of James. Cook.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
One plays for me this week, though, So like I said,
I don't know who else.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
You got do man, so maybe you're you're throwing somebody, uh,
he said Josh Jacobs.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
Dude, so.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Go to Jacob's Bucky and Cook, you know, like, congratulations,
Hopefully you're going to take a ship home this weekend
had a baby. Let's see keep rolling keep rolling. Bills
versus Colts sounds like Colts were number one. I liked
the Bills this week against New England. I've played them
pretty consistently. But the Colts that matchup is really nice.
(22:19):
So I'm happy with either of those. I think that
you're good to go. Southern Dad's Gaming said Championship week,
some of us made it, and then he said, here's
my question, and this this actually and well we won't
stay on it too long, but this is a question.
So in one of our leagues. There's a player that's
(22:39):
in the Tulet Bowl and he dropped his whole lineup.
Is it fair to start claiming players or should at
least the people that are in the championship match or like,
you know, the games that Matt like the championship match
for example, maintain integrity and stay with the lineups. Or
should it just be free for all to pick the
best player?
Speaker 3 (23:01):
Look, I am all for gainsmanship here. So like in
the league that Tyler and I are in, I am
claiming every available running back that might play and dropping
players off my bench that I don't need next week,
right like I don't need a backup quarterback next week.
So I'm here for gainsmanship. This is the kind of
thing that spoils the championship weekend. This is a commissioner
steps in that You're not gonna make everybody happy here.
(23:24):
There's gonna be somebody upset. But those players can't be
available to me. They can't be available because they wouldn't
have been in any other right world. And that guy
has to go like he's not available for this season
either like.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Yees, that guy or girl or whatever is done.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Yep, you know it does throw a namper because as
you build your rosters right and you fill in gaps
like and then those gaps create your team. Like, you know,
maybe you're a wide receiver, week you're running back heavy,
or maybe you're you know, you've had injuries hit, and
so you've been trying to make it happen with these teams.
And then let's say the players that are dropped. There
(24:00):
wasn't any good running backs, but there was good wide receivers,
and so somebody's hole is able to be elevated while
the other persons isn't. With Tier one players, that's gonna
change everything. You know. Now, obviously it's a commissioner decision,
but traditionally I think I would lean on that same thing.
For league integrity. I would put those players off the market.
(24:21):
I would lock in lineups, and here we go.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Yeah, I'm not playing in a league that doesn't have
a commissioner that steps in and does that. Like that's
just like you said, if Jalen Hurts went down and
I've got the fab to pick up Bryce Young, Mason Rudolph,
you know, and all those players to stop the guy
from getting a quarterback, that's fine because that's part of
keeping your fab. That's part of the strategy all year.
(24:45):
That's part of guys that nobody would pick up, but
dropping a stud guy and all of a sudden I
get to pick up Bucky Irby and play him over,
you know, JK.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Dobbins or whatever, like Williams or something.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Yeah, like you just you can't have that. The other part,
like Zach said, that's gagsmanship, Like that's the reason you
maybe hold onto your fab, right, that's the reason why
maybe you do. You should have picked up a backup
quarterback for Jalen Hurts even though he was never hurt.
Like though, that's why we play fantasy football and that's
part of the fun. And so if you got the
fab to block everybody, hey, by all means, but this
(25:18):
covintion has to step in.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Yeah, I'm with you on that. I think we're all
in consensus and the guy needs to be booted. Also,
so nini Opinia coming in. Also, I know everyone loves
tight ends. This year, it has probably been the biggest
lead down position of the season. But pick one Kincaid, Hunter,
Henry or Ertz. I don't know how and you know
(25:44):
I've got a razorbacks helmet behind me. I don't know
how you lean away from Hunter Henry with how he's
used in that offense and the consistency there, So I'm
gonna go that way. He's really the only it feels
like real weapon that that Drake May has to throw to.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
You know, well, man pop Douglas's come on, man, come on, No, No,
I think I'm fine with that too. This isn't an overthinking.
This is like a tight ends are kind of rough,
but this far in the season, trust the rankings like hundred,
Henry's at ten, thirteen, Kincaid's off.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
The map, and none of them has a great matchup
this week. So it's not like you're using that as
that's not a tiebreaker deal breaker. It's yeah, go with
the guy who's performed this year and the guy whose
quarterback will throw them the ball.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
One.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
Uh, we got Dennis Clemens coming in. Dennis, appreciate you
being on Fantasy Sports Advice dot Com. See you pop
in there a few times. Loving the interaction there. My
opponent had Lamar and I had mixing. So I'm already
behind Nix or Young McMillan or Cocher and then next
(26:50):
week we'll we'll skip the next week. You gotta come
tune in frid like you know next week's show for
next week. But this week were going Nicks a Young.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
I'm still still going Bow Nicks.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
I mean, yeah, I agree. And then McMillan or Coker, McMillan, McMillan.
I like McMillan too. I do like Coker as a
deep grab. I think he has a good week this week.
They've got a soft matchup and I think if Young
hits a receiver for a touchdown, it's gonna be him.
Uh that's just personal thoughts. But I do like Coker
(27:27):
this week, but I like Millan more next week. It's
probably gonna be hard not to roll with Spears. But
I'm also not gonna bench mix, and I think that
you know he's not He's not gonna have a garbage
week every week. You know it happens. But he was
involved and he's always involved, and he gets his touches
when they get through touches.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Yeah, the whole team.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
We got Jason or Tees start to mcmillion, uh, no,
k No Shepherd, Feeling lagets Back or m H. Marvin Harrison, Junior,
Tracy or j Ak probably unlimited snaps I gotta you
gotta start too. Who who's your number one? Can't put
down Chase.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
My highest ranked out of all of them would be Ceeling.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Okay, zach Uh.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
I think thelan's a good play for me. I like
where McMillan is. I like the match up with the
thirty second ranked passing defense. You probably don't care with
either of those, but for me, it's McMillan. This week,
they're playing.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Each other too, so yeah, I'm I'm fine with both
of them. Yeah your first two.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
Yep, Yeah, I'm right there with it. I mean, I
I can make an argument for Tracy just because he
might get the volume and touch the ball, but I'm
scared as hell that Giants offense. But I rolled the
first two. Feeling's just too involved, and so is McMillan
and McMillan. I think McMillan should see even more work
(29:00):
this week, Like the cover three is a great matchup
for him and Evans. And if I'm Carolina, I'm taking
away Mike Evans, which means Baker's going to Jalen a lot,
so he should have a big game. So I'm good
with mc mellani.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Deelon love it. I mean there you go. It's easy
when it just kind of works out that way. The
answers hit and we got another super chat coming in.
Appreciate that, he said, don't do that to me, Tyler appreciate. Uh,
we got a super chat, Adrian Michael, appreciate that. Thank
you for the support. Uh he said, sharp hurt him,
(29:35):
sharp hurd Sharvon. The hurt a lot of people this week.
You're not on loan on an Seahawks. Everybody was excited
that he was going to get a full workload by
himself and boy did I mean him, And really even
JSN let people down from the consistency that they were
producing to what they produced this week. It's kind of
that playoff turmoil, but half PPR two wide receivers, one
(30:00):
running back, one flex. So uh, we'll go wide receivers first.
You got Puoka, Jennings, Neighbors, theling mc millan picked two
go chase.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Puka and it's a toss up between neighbors and Jennings
goes that.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
Uh yeah, I like Puka Neighbors and then mc millan
Thelon Jennings for me, Evan.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
I'm going Puka and I I'm going Jennings. I think
they're gonna have to score a lot right above Neighbors.
I'm okay with Neighbors, but Puka and Jennings.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
So it sounds like Puka's consensus. And then it's somewhere
between Theling, Neighbors and Jennings. Uh. You know, Jennings I
think has the touchdown upside. Thelan would be a bigger
play in a PPR, and though Neighbors has significant upside,
I don't love them in that offense with you know,
Drew Locke trying to air the ball out. It just
hasn't been good. It hasn't been consistent. You can't count
(30:55):
on it. So probably know Puka, Jennings or Puoka Theling, uh,
so take your tie. I think at the running back,
I don't know how you play anybody but Jamiir Gibbs
in that position. Uh, it's a it's a hands down go.
And then in the flex I typically am gonna lean
running back heavy. I probably want to get Cuba in
(31:17):
this game, you know, I don't. I don't know if
anybody has a difference of opinion. Obviously there was some
wide receiver support, but I want to guys that are
playing at a top ten level in Jamier Gibbs and
Cuba Hubbard in this game. Anybody different Tube was a
top ten play for me.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Put them in the flexa.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
This guy's got a pretty good team, by the way. Yeah,
like like dude, you got options, you got like legit
options here.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Now I'm gonna go ahead and throw this out there,
and this is for everybody watching obviously.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
One of my sleepers of the week this week, and
at tight end is Chig Aconquo. I am, I am
hype on the Chig train. Rudolph likes to target him,
and he likes to target him as a wide receiver,
not just tighten, not just low pocket passes. He likes
to air the ball out to him. We saw it
(32:08):
last week. I'm not starting any of those three over Chig.
Your rolling Chig. You're rolling Chig. You're rolling Chig. And
then defense got a.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Call Chargers Chargers slightly over Raiders for me. I know
the Vikings have been ranked high all year, but they're
facing the Packers. It's going to be a shootout.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
I played Raiders in DFS because they were cheap, but
I like the Chargers to get for sacks.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
Yeah, the pressure of the Chargers should be good there.
I will just say I love Cuba and I think
he's great. Tampa Bay was pretty much his worst game
all season long. Their run defense is solid, Like I know,
the volumes there. I just him a little leary, like
Neighbors gets fed the ball. I harp for me to
(33:00):
sit a running back.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
That's why i'mutting Neighbors as my second wide receiver. But
you didn't want to do that, so you don't get
to Yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:08):
That's true. I think I know Jennings has led a
lot of people down lately, but Detroit's banged up and
they're gonna have to score. This is a get right
for Juwan Jennings. I am okay with Neighbors over Cuba.
But with that being said, the volume of Cuba, I mean,
he did it against Philadelphia, like he gets the rock
and in a high scoring game, he should see the
red zone carries. So I'm gonna agree with Cuba. But
(33:31):
just based on volume alone, it's just hard to sit.
I mean, you got Neighbors or Jennings on your bench.
Feeling McMillan like.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
It's like Zach said, it's a killer roster. I mean what,
I'm not sorry you.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
Have that problem the reason.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Yeah again, like a great responsibility with this question because
something on this something is gonna cause like you're gonna
have somebody in the bench with twenty points and I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Okay, problems, dude, first world problems.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Age twenty four dropping in. Thank you for tuning in.
Hit that like hit that sub. We appreciate you. PPR
in the ship spears Myers Ford assuming Pollard plays. I
just don't know. I hate the matchup. I hate the matchup,
but I don't know how you don't go forward yep.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Ford's good spear. So yeah, I think I think I do.
Ford spears Myers and I know Myers is kind of
a sneaky play and they're playing New Orleans and I
don't know if you've seen the signs behind me. I'm
pretty fond of them. But but it's the Raiders suck. Okay,
Like I go, Ford spears Myers here.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Yeah, Sam, love it, love it. Love when it just
comes together like that.
Speaker 4 (34:50):
I don't think Deanton Foreman gets the ball at the
goal line again and Ford gets that touchdown he should
have got that was dumb, I agree.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
In his career maybe pick two Honored Dobbins McMillan, Reid
Connor playing Connor is projected to play.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
Good question on that for you guys before we get
into it. Connor's banged up, the Cardinals are out of it.
If Connor's playing, he's listed to play, do you assume
that that means he's I mean, why is he gonna
play if he doesn't get a full workload? Where are you?
What do you guys think about that?
Speaker 1 (35:25):
No?
Speaker 2 (35:26):
If he if he if they're gonna play him, I'm
you can't read anybody's mind. You have no idea what
their mindset is for their coaching and and everything else.
If Connor is in, if he's listed as active and
they say they're going to play him, he's got to
be in there. He's just he's been that kind of
play this year. We we we have more questions about
whether or not they're actually going to use Dobbins this
week than we do about what if they will use Connor.
(35:48):
If he's if he's active, If he's active, then it's
got to Because.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Here's how I look at I think we're picking two.
I think McMillan goes in first because he's playing Saturday early, right,
If I saw that right, so you have to worry
about Connor here because he's playing. Mcmill's playing on Sunday,
So Connor's playing Saturday late. But if you put him
in and you miss it and you didn't get to
play somebody else because you put him in that spot,
like you gotta be ready for a little bit of
(36:13):
gamesmanship there. They're your Sunday guys. So I'm putting McMillan
for sure. And then I hate injury designations Connor Dobbins,
you know, like you're gonna play Connor's first, or Connor first,
then Dobbins after that.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
For me, I love it the I think that's consensus there.
Let's see here, keep rolling, keep rolling.
Speaker 5 (36:38):
We got pere Pereco, Yeah, Hunter Henry or Ferguson since
Lamb is out, I still eat Hunter Henry for me,
I think Fergie's involved.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
But I like the touchdown potential. Back to the super chat.
Vikings got me here, but their matchup is scary. Their
matchup is scary. And there were two weeks ago, or
it was like two weeks ago, I made a call.
I had somebody on Twitter in the message say should
I roll with the Vikings? Should I roll with Atlanta
and Atlanta had that cake matchup against against the Desmond
(37:12):
Ridder Ran offense, and I told them. I was like,
you're gonna go with Atlanta and they were like, no way.
They're like like they came back at me after asking
the question. They were like, the Vikings, I need thirteen
points to win. The Vikings have have had over thirteen
points four times this year. Atlanta's only had it twice.
And I'm like, Ridder can't throw the football, Like you're
(37:35):
gonna go Ridder in that and you're gonna and you're
gonna absolutely slay. And so they didn't. They played with
the Vikings. They formally apologized to me on Twitter because
the Vikings ended with seven points. Meanwhile Atlanta had twenty plus.
You know, like you it's same thing with like playing
a defense against dtr right, Like dtr is just is
(37:57):
not a good quarterback. I'm gonna line up. I love
Miami this week. If you need to stream and stream
of defense, I love Miami, you know, and so like
you can't like they have been good, but like some
of those matchups, like the Raiders, I like that matchup.
You know, uh it, there's there's several good matchups there
that you gotta look. You know, I have hopes. I
(38:19):
have high hopes for Spencer Rattler. I want him to
be the next mahomes S style player.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Dude, I'm sure Mama loves him. But oh man, I.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
A worse week. I mean, they will have a better
week this week than they had last week. But you
know that's almost impossible not to.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
Yeah, foundationally, it has to be better.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Like so, uh, dad boy coming in with the super chat,
appreciate you, bro, don't do it hurts, You're going Rudeolph.
You don't want Lock. You don't want Lock, you don't want.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
On three teams and none of them wanted him to
play quarterback for him. Why do you want to No,
don't don't do it.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
That Bucht might do enough for Neighbors to make neighbors
a good play, but that's it. Not a good play
for Locke. You just might feed neighbors and that's it
on volume alone, fifteen targets, you know, ten for whatever?
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Oh man, I love this. We got a kicker question.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Kicker question, Uh, kickers are fantasy players.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Too, Aubrey Or this week, so let's go kick her first? Uh,
Aubrey Or I think it's pronounced for short for the Vikings.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Who you going take, I'm gonna take it. It's easy Aubrey,
all right, We're good.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Okay, really, I'm or Tyreek in PPR my.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
Bad Chase that I mean to cut you off there?
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Sorry, well it's no you did. I cut everybody. I
cut Tyler off because I was like, Jay, you're going
with Aubrey. They're not gonna have their top They're not
gonna have their quarterback, and they're not gonna have their
top receiving option. I don't really get Roberty even score.
I know we can kick from ninety eight yards away,
but they still gotta get to the two.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
It's also outside in a game that could be pretty
muggy that you know. That scares me a little bit.
Where minutes indoors. I love Aubrey almost every week, but
I feel like the high scoring affair we're talking about
and inside I'm gonna just lean probably Rashard there. I mean,
I get it, like you said, we know how.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Good Aubrey is, but that's why he's in there.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Last week.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
That was indoors. He's got it, man, he's got the
with CD with ceed Lamb having what you know, a
dominant game until he left the game. I don't know
if they do that this week. I mean, I guess
he could kick five field goals in an ugly game
if they can get close enough.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Look, he had three fifty yarders last week, but.
Speaker 4 (40:45):
You think at Philadelphia that that's there's.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Yeah, you got to get close enough to kick the
fifty yard That's the thing.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
It's a divisional rivalry.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Look, I I love this. I love the banter. So
it sounds like it's a two to one Zach. You
stay on your island. You go with your guy. Evan
and Chase are going Richard now Ladd or Tyreek PPR.
Other receivers are Evans and Scary Terry love that.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
I'm going, Lad, that's not a question. Go with the
lod YEP with the lod.
Speaker 4 (41:19):
Yeah, you've got Evans, Terry and Barky, which means you've
got some big plays there. You don't need to hope
that Tyreek goes, you know, gets one and runs with it.
Ladd is six for seventy guaranteed as a floor, it
seems like in this matchup.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
So it's lad love it. We got Daniel Vilner over
on Twitch. Hey, thanks like the channel, appreciate you tuning
in over there on Twitch. Adam Thielen or Jacoby Myers.
I want more than a theling. I want some more dealing.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
I think our conversations have answered this one. It's dealing
for everybody, I believe.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Yes, third Myers.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
Has like a really brutal matchup. We're going to We're
going to.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
Myers doesn't know if he's gonna be catching passes from
porn stash or who.
Speaker 4 (42:08):
Josh said, Tampa Carolina could be a sneaky one of
the highest totals of the week. I mean for sure,
so Josh said, I've.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
Got the highest over under on the slate on Sunday.
There you do.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
Johsh said, I can't wait for my giants. Uh, don't
get thoroughly trash talked. Coming. We hope so, we hope
better when.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
League is better. When the Giants are good, they're one
of the.
Speaker 4 (42:35):
We're speaking how we have to, but we're all we're
on board with you mc.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Millan or Jamo. With Saint Brown in the lineup, now
this is tight for me. I want to hear what
you think. What do you think is that?
Speaker 3 (42:47):
So I don't know I struggle to pick skill positions
on the same offense. I feel like like you you're
vulturing from yourself. Potentially some people might thank you're spreading
your opportunity. I like Jayleen McMillan instead of having two
receivers in the same offense.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Say give it from a gamesmanship standpoint, if if you know,
if you have Jamo and Saint Brown in your lineup,
they both can't catch the same pass.
Speaker 3 (43:09):
It hurts in the end zone.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
If one of those guys goes off, it's it's almost automatically,
not always, but almost automatically at the expense of the
other or at the very least the other guys not
getting that production, that that that your other guys getting.
Whereas if you play the two guys either Jamo or
Saint Brown and McMillan, now you've got the opportunity there
(43:33):
to catch a big game from two different games. So
if it's between men Billan and Jmo. I actually have
Williams ranked higher this week by about three slots so far,
but I would put McMillan in my lineup with Saint
Brown also as a starter.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
Love it, love it, Love the feedback. So as you
guys know this. This show is sponsored by Fantasy Sports
Advice Network, and we always take a moment during the
show to hop over to Fantasy Sports Advice dot high.
I'm answer some of the questions in the chat, so
we're gonna do that now, a little bit later than normal,
but the chat's been flying. So let's go check out
(44:08):
Fantasy Sports Advice Network and see what questions we rolled
in there this week.
Speaker 3 (44:12):
We are here.
Speaker 6 (44:13):

Speaker 1 (44:40):
Love it, Love love Dan mader in that all right,
So hopping over here, we got the first question from
Shady Nasty over here Flex Defense Advice. So he's looking.
He's got James Connor right now on is flex with
the potential of Breise Hall etn Cooper Cup, Kendre Miller one,
Congrad that's a killer of people to have on your bench.
(45:03):
And then the second question is defense, Miami Bills or Vikings.
I've already said my pick in this is gonna be
the Miami Dolphins against a DTRN offense without any chig
as you see there, He's already been ruled out, which
makes him even less likely to get the ball downfield.
So I think the defense is a no brainer for me.
(45:24):
You guys may have a different opinion. Flex I want
to roll Connor, but I may roll. I may roll
Breese this week.
Speaker 4 (45:35):
I'm not in Miami. Yeah, sorry, Miami and Breeese for me.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
Yeah, it's Miami, and it's Miami and Connor for me.
I've got Connor at eighteen. I've got Haul at twenty one.
So I'm gonna stick with my rankings there because I'm
not crazy about either one of them right now.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
I'm gonna split it. Split the vote. Go with Evan
on this one. I like, like you killed the defense
on that, and then I like a not banged up
Breese Hall in this matchup.
Speaker 4 (46:03):
That's the same reasoning.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
Yeah, I just don't know if Aaron Rodgers is gonna
call plays for him or not.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
Aaron Rodgers doesn't like people just I know.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
On that team and he runs it and that sucks.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
All right, we gotta pop over. We got a question
from GB Chris twenty one. He says, So, I'm in
the championship t against Davante Adams are both questionable if
they both play there no brainer starts even with lingering injuries.
I don't have any decent alternatives. Probably overthinking it. My
bingch consists of Rico, Daddle and Cocher. I have McMillan
(46:42):
in the flex because dwell oughto almost cost me the
semi finals. I feel like my lineup is now my
best options. Would love opinions, So I guess the question is, really,
are you starting Rico or Jalen Cocher over McMillan. We
don't know how you go away from Higgins or Davante
Adams if they're both healthy. H So with mcmillaner you
(47:06):
start Rico or Cocher over either of those.
Speaker 2 (47:10):
No, no play who you got unless you see an
injury change. Yeah, play who you got.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
I am in the same boat as that. So, guys,
if you have questions and we haven't hit them, hit
the like butt mcgo over. Fantasy Sports Advice dot com
and sign up. It is free to sign up again.
You drop your questions in there. We're gonna go ahead
and keep going through the chat. We got Daniel Capps
coming in. Appreciate you tuning in this week. First time
I've seen you here and I do this show every week,
but glad you're here with us. I need one tight end,
(47:40):
one flex Bowers McBride, McLaurin. For me, this is simple,
but I may not be on the same boat. So
I'm gonna hold for a second and I'm gonna let these.
Speaker 3 (47:53):
Guys a chicken.
Speaker 1 (47:55):
Oh no, I'm not a checking tight end. I want Bowers.
I want Bowers as the lead receiver in that offense.
The you know, consistently, obviously Big Bride has been a
consistent letdown. He can't get into the freaking end zone.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
Fault.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Yes, it's not his fault, I know, it's that's the
dynamic of the game, right. He's like he is. He
is a product of his where he is and unfortunately
like in where they're at, especially if with Aidan O'Connell
back playing, I want Bowers and then there's no way
I am bentioned McLaurin. McLaurin has been lights out. McLaurin
(48:32):
was lights out last week and I said it here
on the show when everybody was talking about how Philly
only allowed him to go for one reception for you know,
ten yards in the first time they met, and I
told him Jalen Hurts was hurt that game. They weren't
that successful. He was gonna get into the end zone.
And what happened. He got into the end zone. He
(48:52):
was successful. We saw it. We have a good week,
and we've had a good week every single week except
for that initial week against Philly.
Speaker 4 (49:00):
I'm roll.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
I'm not taking mclauren out of my line up no
matter what.
Speaker 2 (49:04):
It's nice because normally I would say you never flex
a tight end. You have literally the only combination of
tight ends this season. I would even consider playing both
of them in. But Bowers is my tight end one
this week. McBride is my tight end two. So Bowers
is one for sure. Mclaurran is a top seven wide
receiver pick for me this week. You never I don't
care how highly ranked you have your tight end. You
(49:26):
cannot play a tight end over a top seven wide
receiver in your flex and feel good about it. You're
gonna feel much worse if you play two tight ends
and then you know, play Bowers, play McLaurin, Let the
chips fall.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
Evan, you look like you're breathing heavy over there. You
got something you want to say?
Speaker 4 (49:46):
No, you know, I take I take my l's two.
I just want to say, play that tape. I was
all about Jayden Daniels and McLaurin last week on the show.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
I just wanted to I.
Speaker 4 (49:55):
Just wanted to add Daddy and I like, you know,
I lose plenty.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
We were together on it Gonna take my wins.
Speaker 4 (50:00):
I talked about Jayden Daniel's injury. I talked about McLaurin
being involved at works. That was one that hit. You
can probably find a few l's if you watch the tape,
but just watch that part.
Speaker 3 (50:12):
Can we just I don't.
Speaker 4 (50:15):
Know how I love it, bro, I love it. I
don't know how you can sit trade McBride. But this
might be the only yes. I don't want to go
too deep that. I just like Bowers at one and
two right, and you just can't sit McLaurin like it's crazy,
Like Bowers McBride might outscore McLaurin. I could see that happening,
But I'm playing McLaurin and like, yeah, Bowers is a
(50:37):
dozen targets. I think McBride gets fed this week after
the abysmal performance last week due to Kyler, like I mentioned,
but he just has to be the odd man out here,
as crazy as it is. I mean, look, I.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
Go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
Sorry, I was gonna say, David keV triple chat, dude,
are you in like an eight man league or like
you was the only Yeah, you're flexing a top six
receiver and the best tight ends in the game right now?
How like, what's the rest of the lineup? Or does
the league suck?
Speaker 4 (51:09):
How did the draft go? Where did you take these guys?
Speaker 1 (51:11):
All that? So us Fairburn let them down with zero points,
which I agree is unreal. By the way, he said,
he just subscribe first show. Thanks for instant questions. Thank
you for subscribing. We appreciate you. But you know, he said,
it's a ten man league and he's done a great
job of putting the roster together to have that those options,
(51:32):
So kudos to that. And you know it's probably a
standard to running back two our receiver tight end and
a flex like a singular flex, which is why this
is a question. If it's a dual flex, they're probably
rolling back one of those tight ends and McLaurin. But
either way, you know, great, great matchup, great, you know
(51:53):
it's it's gonna be a good game. And I think
Bowers McBride you can't go wrong. I just want the
high upside of Bowers and thetential to get in the
end zone. And McLaurin could easily have two touchdowns. Paul
jumping in our DeVonta Smith and Dobbins a safe start,
So that is like a catch. I don't know that
you can say the word Dobbin's in safe start in
(52:16):
any scenario, in any situation, at any time. Because fortunately
Dobbins is an electric player. It doesn't matter where he goes,
where he plays, he averages over four yards of carry,
and he is an electric running back. The issue comes
any given Sunday. Also, he can go out after three
snaps with the re injury of his knee. He's injured.
(52:38):
He's been We've seen it, we've experienced it, We've followed
the hype train of the comeback only to be you know,
for it to be dismantled in five to six games.
So I don't think there's a safe start. I also
don't think it's a safe start with DeVonta if you
got Kenny Pickett at the Helm or I don't know
if they've announced for sure if Pickett is a go.
(53:02):
I know that it was a consideration, but especially if
in a Tanner McKee or Kenny Pickett driven offense. But
as far as like if I was gonna go with
a safe start or somebody that I thought could get touches,
I'm probably leaning Devanta and it hurts to say that.
Speaker 3 (53:26):
No, he's yeah, he's probably safer. But my thing is
when when you looked at those guys, So you look
at we had a j Brown earlier in the show
and then Devontae Smith, and they both had pretty good weeks,
but you have to go and look and see that
that probably wasn't Picket, Like that was Jalen before he
got hurt. So people are gonna be like, Picket might
be okay, and he wasn't. He was pretty bad. Let's see,
(53:46):
he played eighty four percent of the snacks and eleven
points with those guys playing, so yeah, they it's the
question was are they safe? I don't think so. You
might have to play them, but not saying.
Speaker 4 (54:01):
Yeah, not safe at all, unfortunately, But yeah, I mean,
are you are you? Are there other options you can
play orre you just forced to play them. I mean
I would I do wonder that as well, like Zach Sam,
But yeah, you guys nailed it there. Not safe at all.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
He did say. Remember in the draft, Bowers at mclauren
were not high round picks, and mclauren was. Mclauren especially
was a late later round slit, like he fell into
rounds eight, seven to nine in most drafts, which was
an extreme value for a top ten wide receiver on
the season. And you know, I was on it, and
(54:34):
I say this. I say this begrudgingly. Okay, I am
an Arkansas Razorbacks fan and I have watched years I will.
I remember back when we were beating LSU and they
put Jade Daniels in at halftime because the quarterback got injured,
and they came back and won, and like just being like,
(54:56):
this guy is the guy, right, Like this guy is
gonna be killer quarterback, and uh, he figures out a
way to win, he figures out a way to put
it together. I would say he's a more complete quarterback
and better passer than Jalen Hurts. And and that's that's
my opinion, but I'm I'm on it. And so when
(55:19):
that's where he went, I felt like mclauren was a
solid late round grab when you needed a big wide receiver.
Same thing with like Mike Evans, who typically went a
little later, like six to six to eight rounds. But
you know, great pick. I'm super high on Jaden in Dynasty.
I like mclauren. Over the next couple of years, it's
(55:41):
gonna be a good, good pair. I definitely don't see
mclauren being drafted in the eighth round next year. Now,
let's see, Paul I could start Pittman, Waddle, Spears, Watson, Patrick, Taylor,
Ertz over the two I'm in, Oh, you could not.
(56:02):
The two mentioned earlier were DeVonta Smith or Dobbins.
Speaker 2 (56:06):
Well Spears, yeah.
Speaker 3 (56:07):
Said maybe Spears.
Speaker 1 (56:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (56:09):
The rest of them are scarier too.
Speaker 2 (56:12):
Watson may not. Watson is still hurt, he may not
play or playing much. Taylor is probably sitting behind Grendo
if Grendo's healthy, hurts as a tight end.
Speaker 3 (56:20):
So no Pittman with Joe Flack, you know, yeah, yeah, if.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
We'll pop back over to the Fantasy Sports Advice Network.
We got a we got a question coming in from
footballer and you can already see how the pole is
lining up. So the question is do we do we
line up with the pole? But who do I play?
Jerry Goff, Kyler Murray or Sam Darnold? You know, And
(56:50):
right there the first comments Corey saying, I hate this,
but as much as Kyler makes sense because of the matchup,
Aileen Goff, Uh, I'm kind of in the same boat.
I don't know how you shy away from golf. He's
throwing touchdowns every week. You know, maybe if it's a
four point touchdown league or something, But even then, I
don't know how I'm getting away to get the.
Speaker 2 (57:10):
San Francisco forty nine ers defense. And Sam Donald is
playing a shootout against green Bay with a banged up secondary.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
I will tell you that green Bay, that green Bay
Vikings game will not be won on the ground. That
is gonna be a that is gonna be a game
one through the air. So I like the receivers in
that game. I think if Josh I think Josh Jacobs
even takes a little bit of a hit this week
Aaron Jones for sure takes a hit. Last time that
they played, he was he struggled big time. Josh Jacobs,
(57:40):
the thing that gives me hope for him is he's
good at catching the ball out of the backfield, which
could be a benefit for them. But it's gonna be
a it's gonna be a tough game. In the run game.
I think they hit the air a lot in that game.
So I do like Sam Darnold as an option. It
just can you go away from MVP candidate in golf.
Speaker 4 (58:01):
Does the game? This is one of the few Detroit
games outside, you know. I mean, it's not just the
narrative that like Gough is bad outdoors, it's more so
that this Lion's team as a whole does not produce
over the last few years outside the way they do
as a team indoors. That's it's a hole. It's I'm
(58:23):
not miss me with that whole narrative of goth They
just don't put up the same type of numbers. And
they've only had a few games on the road this
SEK or outside this year. So I'm just throwing that
in there. As Devil's advocate. I I like Donald over
Kyler actually already and with that shootout, like you talked about,
I'm not opposed to playing Donald here, you know, if
(58:44):
you're leary a little bit, but just posing that added
question to you guys about the elements there.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
I have Donald one spot over goth this seat this week,
as does ECR. But I and I think a big
part of it is not only do I think it's
going to be a shootout, but like you said, it's indoors.
It's gonna be safe. We don't know what the hell
the weather is going to be like over in San Francisco,
but it's also the San Francisco defense is tough against
opposing fantasy quarterbacks. I love me some Golf, but it's
(59:12):
the place Donald for me this week.
Speaker 4 (59:14):
Some revenge some Niner, you know, Niner not revenge, right.
Speaker 1 (59:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (59:20):
Yeah the Niners. Yeah yeah. And these two teams are
like Donald and Golf are both playing for number one seed, right,
Like they want to get that fourteen and two and
and get to the first round by so like yeah,
you know, I just think the game script and the
things around that favored Donald more than Golf here.
Speaker 1 (59:38):
Yeah. I like the call. I do like the call
I do feel like I do feel like Green Bay can.
I feel like I see I see probably two picks
coming in that game on Sam Donald just me. Green
Bay has been say what you they had what how
(01:00:00):
many last week? Now? Granted, yeah, but but here's the thing.
Here's the thing that Jared Goff has had in the
last four games against Chicago. A good pass defense two
hundred and twenty yards, two touchdowns against Green Bay, two
(01:00:22):
hundred and eighty three yards, three touchdowns against Buffalo, who
has a much better secondary than they have. A run
game four hundred and ninety four yards and five touchdowns
against Chicago. Again last week at Chicago in the elements
three hundred and thirty six yards and three touchdowns. Golf
is playing the best football of his life right now,
(01:00:44):
and I don't know that I can get away from it,
even against the San Francisco team that you know, like
they're gonna And the other side is like even in
the run game, like Golf can easily have a dump
off to Jamiir Gibbs that goes for forty yards to
the house and that's a past touchdown, and so like
you know, with that kind of stat line, I can't
(01:01:06):
get I love Donald. Donald's been great all season, but
I don't know that I can get away from golf.
But I will say this, I do believe that the
scores between the two of them come out similar.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Donald threw three touchdowns in Week four in one half
against Green Bay.
Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
So also I want to add this about green Bay
just to show that they played the Bears, the forty
nine ers without Purty Tua in the freezing cold, which
every Dolphin team cannot play in, got roasted by the Lions,
a Seattle offense that's been abysmal, and then Spencer Ratler.
So as much as I like green Bay, they're red hot,
(01:01:50):
their defense is still good. They're a great team that
can make a run. I think they are a decent contender,
probably a good odds if you like to play a
future outside of the favorites. But I'm just throwing that
out there. That's a list of pretty mediocre offenses compared
to this Minnesota team. And we've been waiting for the
Darnold shoe to drop. It really hasn't dropped.
Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
It's and I I would say the same conversation, like
we keep waiting for golf to drop, and it's not happening.
Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Do we do.
Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
Everybody was like, Okay, there's a whole narrative around golf,
Like golf was not expected. If you expected golf when
he was traded to Detroit, if you expected to see
the golf that we're seeing right now when he was
traded to Detroit for Matt Stafford, you are. It is
(01:02:48):
absolutely crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
No nobody expected that. But that's five years ago.
Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
By now, dude, no one's surprise what's doing this team.
This team wasn't surprised of what he's I'm surprised at this. Yeah,
Minnesota had a win total of six and a half
on the books, Detroit was a play away from being
the Super Bowl with weapons galore.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
And.
Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
Yeah, not surprised by golf at all. The Lions are
doing what they're supposed to be doing. From last year,
Darnald is absolutely like way way overperformed relative to what
they thought they thought it was gonna be.
Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
Jj.
Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
You know, like like it's five wins, been a crazy year.
Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
You know, I will say this and this is this
is a this is a point I guess for for
to be considered. The way the Lions approached playing football,
which is wild. The way they approached playing changed significantly
when they lost Montgomery. After Montgomery went out, it went
(01:03:54):
from two hundred and something yards for golf a week
to three hundred plus both weeks since Montgomery went out.
And I think that's because also we see a lot
of passes out of the backfield. Two Gibbs, so in
a late run, I like golf. I like Donald this
week too. Both are great choices. Go with the three
(01:04:16):
other guys on here that are screaming Donald, I can
live on my island. It's okay, you know I'm too hard.
Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
I mean, like I said, I've got Donald at seven,
Golf at eight. They're both about to move up one
because Jalen Hurts is out of here. But yeah, I
mean you're talking about two top seven plays this week.
So yeah, I mean I'm not I'm not shooting you
down for the golf thing. I'm just saying I got
Darnald ranked higher, and I see why.
Speaker 4 (01:04:39):
Yeah, real quick, real quick. I just want to say,
on these teams. Did both those teams win this week?
We're gonna see a fourteen win team be a five seed,
isn't that crazy?
Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
And a possible thirteen win team be a sixth seed. Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:04:54):
Yeah, wild, wild what.
Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
Uh, so we'll kind of we'll wrap it up here.
I think Benjamin coming in. I have Chubba, Cuba and Connor.
Don't know what to do because of the injuries and
different time slots. What do you think I should do?
I want Cuba here if I have to make the
decision early because of the potential that the Arizona Cardinals
(01:05:22):
are playing for nothing except to spoil somebody else's season.
Speaker 3 (01:05:26):
And you know, I.
Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
Mean, I guess Cuba is not really playing for anything either,
except for I think they're really trying to figure out
what they have on offense, and so they're trying to
win as well. I like Cuba with the question mark
on Connor. If there wasn't the question mark on Connor,
I would go Connor.
Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
But a top ten play for me this week, assuming
Connor plays, Cuba's still a top ten play from this week.
It's it's Cuba, and that takes your question out for
timing wise, schedule this week sucks. We feel your pain, dude.
Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
Schedulest stuff this week, but we're here. It's championship week
and we wouldn't have it any other way, right. It's
gotta be difficult if it was gonna be easy. It
wouldn't be the ship you know, you know, for me
and most leagues. I'm gonna roll with Connor because he
won me ships last year with that play with his
playoff run. But you know, Chew has been great all season,
(01:06:20):
so I'm gonna roll with you, but in this question,
but I like Connor too. Thank you guys, everybody for
tuning in. This show was absolutely electric. You guys kept
the questions coming. Appreciate you hit the like button, hit
