Speaker 1 (00:07):
What's up everybody? You know what time it is? Friday
night from the Forum, and tonight it's mock draft season.
We got your standard red draft league. One quarterback, two
running backs, two wide receivers, tight end, and two flex
kicker and defense. We're running wild. I got a crew
in the house. Hope you're ready. Let's get the drafting.

(00:47):
What's up? What's up everybody? I got a crew, got
my god, Brian, my god Dan, and then Hype, the
one and only Greg in the house. How's it going, fellas?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Good good man?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
How are you man ready to draft? As you guys know,
it is mock draft season. I know you've been in it.
I've already done a few drafts. But you know my
home league, you know the one, the one that happens
every year that's been going on for like fifteen years.
That draft's coming up mid August, and everybody's already talking smack.

(01:23):
Everybody's already like pumped and ready to go. I'm hosting
this year, so they've already told me that I need
to make spaces for like air mattresses and for people
to pass out in random places. So we're looking at
a good time. But as you guys know, that's kind
of the that's kind of the deal, right, Like we
started playing fantasy with our friends and and it all

(01:46):
started with like the standard league. One quarterback, two running backs,
two wide receivers, a tight end, two flex and then
a kicker in a defense. Despite I know, Brian, I
know you've been an advocate for getting rid of the
kicker in the defense, but this is the way we
all started. What do you what's your thoughts?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Man, It's just not happening. I've been trying for my
home league every single year since essentially the inception of
the league. It's it's just not gonna happen. My wife's
in that league. I've got several friends that just they
think that they have such an X factor when they
get to put in a kicker in a defense every week.
They I swear they do more research on kickers than
they actually do for other positions. So it's here to stay.

(02:27):
I'm just embracing it at this point.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Hey, man, I don't know about you, but I've had
kickers with me.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Some I'm not saying it hasn't happened to me, but
when it happens against me, oh, I'm tore up. I'm
not happy at all.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Oh, it's funny. We got some people in the chat, Chris,
what's how's everyone? And I doing good? Chris, thanks for
tuning in, Jacob. Nothing better than your home league? Man,
Ain't that truth? Ain't nothing better than the home league?
Mad scientists. Fun fact of the evening. If you miss
vodka and weed, you forget how much you hate Patrick Mahomes.
Just kidney still sucks. Got a little hate in there,

(03:00):
little little bit, a little bit of passive aggressiveness towards
old Patrick Mahomes, ghost maker. What's up? Fellas? Southern Dad.
Kickers are awesome. You know, we do have a shirt
in our shop that's FSA n dot shop that says
kickers are fantasy players too, and Brian they are okay,
they are uh, nothing like seeing people stress over kicker

(03:23):
to stream. All right, So you guys know tonight we're
digging into a mock draft. I'm gonna go ahead and
pull up the board. We've got a slew of actual
people in this draft. These are actually analysts from different channels.
We've got roto Wire, we've got football guys, We've got
you know, just tons of people that have different YouTube shows. Content, Uh,

(03:47):
the Fantasy Football Show and of course FF Advice Network
in the chat, the Fantasy Advantage Height, that's your channel.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Just a ton of people represented in this draft, and
we wanted to make is that way so that you
could see how draft picks may actually fall. You know,
you know you hate watching mox with the with the
drafts they just like where they're just auto drafted. So
these are real people actually in the draft. Uh, and
we're gonna be breaking down these picks as we go.

(04:16):
It's gonna be a night ride with us.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
You're gonna get some goodness. You're gonna get some gems,
especially as we get laid into the draft and the
waters start to get murky. I know you felt it
like it feels like like round like maybe like nine
to thirteen, it really starts to get murky. Maybe that's
a little bit later in a ten man, but uh yeah,
we're gonna have a Uh, we're gonna have a good one.

(04:40):
So uh, Dan, when you enter into your draft season
in this standard format, what's like your your normal go
to strategy, especially picking from the middle of the draft.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Well, the reason I love the middle of the draft
is because I want to pick from value. That's it
because right now what you have here with two wide receivers,
two running backs, two flexes, it means there's not any
one extra value at any one position. Right Like when
you play in a lot of these industry leagues, a
lot of his three receivers, receivers are gonna fly off
the board.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
If you're still playing in Grand.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Pop you know, Joe Schmo league from the eighties, you
may have four running backs. I don't know, but all
I'm saying is that it doesn't actually lean towards one
position or another. You can kind of just pick from
value and see how the draft falls to you.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
So that's what I really love to do. That's why
I pick pick in the middle.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Plus I'm not really that and for all, with like
the top four picks this year, I don't think there's
a big tear gap necessarily from the top guys to
the guys in the middle.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
So I kind of like being there for the value
this season.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
You know, you got some people there's value at wide receiver. Uh,
you got Manty ready to draft boys, uh, you know,
and then some more comments on the defenses than kickers,
you know, hype. I know you're a running back guy.
You know you're you're sitting there at the third overall pick.
You know is this can What's what's your typical process

(06:02):
going in that early of a pick in your redraft.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
It's kind of the same idea, letting the draft come
to me. It's in that top three, it's usually best
player available. Who do you want? Wide receiver? Running back?
Nine times out of ten lately I've been going back
to running back. I've been the last I don't know,
two three years I've done like wide receiver heavy, but

(06:27):
running backs seem to be making a comeback, and uh yeah,
I think it's hard for me to pass up on
any of the top three options there.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
We got Jacob. They're saying, uh, what spot or area's
best this year? Earlier, early mid or late snake draft?
Of course, Brian, what's your thoughts? What where do you
want to be at?

Speaker 3 (06:45):
I mean, I guess if it's just any old league,
like in a vacuum, i'd say right in the middle,
like kind of Dan was saying, you you have probably
the best opportunity to take value that that's coming to you.
But when I'm in my home league, my my league,
mats to know it. I like being on the turn.
I like being able to take whatever values there and
then reach for the guy that I want because most
likely it's not gonna fall the way I want it to,
just because like you can mock draft all day long,

(07:07):
I have never seen a mock draft that I've done
that's come out close to what my actual league, like
my home league draft turns into. So yeah, give me
the end. Let me go ahead and pick my own
chaos so I don't have to sit there and tilt
every you know, right there from the four or five,
six or wherever you might be.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
There's a comfort and being able to reach. I just
want to throw that there's comfort.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Yeah, yeah, I feel you, I feel you.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, Matthew saying, agree with letting the draft flow. Gotta
think quickly and react effectively. I am a VPA guy,
h But we'll see how this draft goes. So we're
gonna get this thing kicked off, and Brian, you get
the luxury of having the one one, the most important pick,
because if you don't hit, it can hurt. So we're

(07:52):
gonna get this thing rolling. And uh, you are on
the clock. Ryan.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Well, as the NFL draft goes, I'm gonna take my
full clock a lot in my time here. Maybe somebody
wants to throw a trade my way. No, I'm here. Yeah,
give me the running back here early. It's a ten
man league. I want to grab my that position early,
especially if I'm treating this like a home league. So
I'm gonna take a running back early. Give me Bejon
to start off this.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Draft, all right, Jamar Chase goes so b John Robinson
goes first, Jamar Chase goes second, and Hype, you were
on the clock. I think that's a given. Those are
typically one two.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah, who's three? This? This is what I was saying.
It's kind of a toss up here. Honestly, it's hard
to it's hard to not take Jefferson. I get it.
But with the hamstring and feeling like running backs are
the way to go, I'm just gonna take. I'm gonna
go your Gribbs.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Jami or Gibbs at the one three and Chase coach
Chase g is on the clock. So Gibbs is it?
Why do you like him in a shared backfield over
somebody like let's say Saquon.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Gibbs just has so much versatility, has barely anything in
the passing game, at least what was shown last year.
It's it's not a part of the plan for the
Eagles offense. And Gibbs does both things amazing and even
though he shared with Montgomery, he's still like the RB
two and PPR. Yeah, there's just you're you're locking and

(09:28):
loading with Gibbs every week. You have nothing to worry
about with him.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Well, there you go. Saquon goes at the one point four,
right after Gibbs, right after Height takes his gud Dan
on the clock, and you take Ashton Genty, you get
this running back.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Run right there. Dan.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
For me, well, first of all, if you're taking to
see him see in the first round, you're a gambler
on a whole other level than I am.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
Okay, I love.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
That he's looking explosive. I love that he's looking healthy.
I hope it's for my team, but I'm not taking
them the.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
Second round pick.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
You know, for for me personal, Ashton Gents's walking into
a situation where Chip Kelly you can trust him to
do one thing and one thing only, and that's feature
of the running back.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
I don't know what he's gonna do in the passing game.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
I don't even brock Bowers gives me a little I
don't know, because Schip Kelly's system is all within five yards.
But he's gonna get the ball to the running back,
Ashton Genty. You know, people got swept away in the
idea of like what he was as a runner in
Boise State his last season, but look two years ago
when he was lights out as a receiver. They are
going to get him involved. He is going to have

(10:31):
the opportunity to be this year sae Quon Barkley in
the sense of total opportunities. Okay, Like he's not gonna
have that offensive line, he's not gonna have the same offense, right,
but total opportunities, he's gonna be a dog. You got
raheem moster behind you. Like all ships are up. This
offense is flown through Ashton Gents.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
And he's a rookie. He's a young running back.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
I'm not as concerned about him getting injured like I
am about Saquon coming off of four hundred touches or
CMC with the Achilles issue.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
You know, it's it's a valid point. You know, they're
if you want to take the risk, take the risks.
Rookie running back for Dan Mader. There Matt goes with
Justin Jefferson and then off the clock goes Ceedee Lamb
top three receivers essentially off the board. Quickly it comes
to me at the one eight and you know, Dan,

(11:19):
you said it, I'm gonna be a gambling man. I
feel like I've got another year. I've got his jersey
on my wall. Back here. One way to take Christian
McCaffrey right here. This is a PPR and and running
backs that are going to live in that PPR world
to me, like especially as a pass catcher in San Francisco,

(11:41):
having minimal uh pass catchers you know, in the act,
like in their actual offense. They've got you know, Pierce
All's started out on the pup list. I still not back,
you know. I think the CMC and Kittle are gonna
tear it up and uh and so I feel pretty
good about that. I want to take him there, especially
in a PPR format, And it looks like, depending on

(12:04):
how it falls, it's probably going to be a hero
running back world for me. So next on the clock
we got the one nine GB Chris taking his pick.
Who is gonna go after Montgomery? Joe and the chat
smells like a goat in here. CMC feels about as
high as I would go. CMC there at the one

(12:27):
eight feels about as high as he would go. I
got Matthew I like the pick. And then at the
one nine goes all un Ross Saint Brown, and we
got Johnny Mayne at the turn and he takes Derrick
Henry at the one ten. Followed up with the first
pick of the second round, which is Maleik Neighbors. You know,

(12:47):
I've seen Malik fall recently.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Why why is he in the toe?

Speaker 5 (12:54):
No, it's Russell Wilson, It's not the toe.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Come on, better than Danny Cutlet's.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Come on everyone he had last year. Russ is better
than everyone he had.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Talented wise, absolutely one hundred percent. But what Russell Wilson
likes to try to do is he likes to try
to prove that he still has the Wolverine ball and
the moon ball to go with it. It's why I
think he actually surprisingly, I think we're gonna see Darius
Layton a little bit more involved than we all expect, right,
Like Malik Neighbors is still gonna get his. I'm not
trying to, you know, don't get me twisted here or
anything like that. But he fees off dable system of

(13:28):
in the middle. Hit me with the slants over and
over again. Russell Wilson's gonna want to throw it to
the outside. And if they have any chance winning games,
and I'm not saying they do, Wilson can't throw the
ball forty times. They have to find ways to keep
them around that twenty eight to thirty mark. It's gonna
be a little bit less volume. I think the Giants
defense is going to be a lot better this year.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
So famous Jamis gets his booty out there on the field.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Come many going down the field like you just don't care,
no fear. So we got malaite neighbors two to one.
Josh Jacobs goes at the to to. I got a
couple people in the chat. Henry at ten is bold,
I'm and Rod at the one nine is a mistake. Look,
share your feelings, ask the questions. It's called me crazy,

(14:12):
But keep sleeping on Jacobs. You know, Jacob surprised a
lot of people last year. And then in my first
opinion twelve through fourteen picks or so you really can't
argue with I agree. I mean it's all the's gonna
be these windows, this window of people. So for me,
I'm gonna shift my focus now at this pick to
wide receiver and I'm gonna go with the wide receiver

(14:34):
four from last year that I think is still going
to catch a ton of deep balls. And I'm gonna
go with BTJ at this.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Thanks, thank you.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Look at that little comment, A little.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Nice solid pick. I can't really argue with it. You know,
high or lower, that's about where you should go.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Yeah, no, I agree the team league. Look at that
CMC and b TJ just started off. You know, five letters,
but you know what, it's five good letters right there.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
I need leagues.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Yeah, that's the abbreviation squad.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Russ has crazy career accuracy on deep balls. Look it up.
I agree. I think Malik could have a huge season.
Right there by, s U takes at the two four
puka nakua and following that, Matt takes devon a chain
the the boom or bust. Either it's gonna be incredible
or it's going to be injury ridden. You know, Dan,

(15:37):
you're up on the clock next. Did he snipe you
or did you have somebody else in mind? Here? Oh?

Speaker 4 (15:42):
He's like me, I was going to go back to
back with Jens and Chan. That was completely one percent
my plan there. I wanted to PPR League two running backs.
We're gonna get targets like crazy. Yeah, absolutely love the
pick for Devon A Chan in the second round. So instead,
I'm just going to pivot. I'm going to play it
safe with a guy that I know was going to
get targeted like crazy, with the guy who was on

(16:02):
his way to being second to Jamar Chase before his injury,
and that was Nico Collins.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Ooh, Nico, I love it. You know. Nico's one of
those like, weirdly enough, he kind of gets underrated. He
gets like he's kind of like Mike Evans, Like Mike
Evans just slowly falls down the draft. Nico's that guy.
Despite the production, he just kind of slowly moves down
the rankings. I think this is the highest he's been drafted,
but it doesn't. I don't know if it feels like

(16:28):
it's high enough. I got coach Chase on the clock,
So Nico goes at two six. H got Matt in
the chat roll, the dice baby, and Chris Puka makes
me nervous and then coach Chase takes the first tight
end of the draft. This is not a tight end premium,
this is a PPR format standard league, and Brock Bowers

(16:52):
goes at the two seven. Tell me about it is?
It is that where it is in no tight end bonus?
Are we? Are we that early on Bowers with the
Gino Smith quarterback.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
I definitely don't think I am. I think that he's
in a tier with two other guys that I'd probably
rather take the cheapest one at ADP, you know, that
being George Kittle, and I get the position scarcity in
a ten man league, you know, getting that that edge
at tight end. But we are working with the double
flex here. That adds just a little bit more to
the the just the possession of having a running back
and a wide receiver. So me personally, if I don't

(17:26):
get Kittle here somewhere in like the fourth fifth, probably
closer to I guess ten man leagues, so probably closer
at five to six, I'm probably punting the position just
because I'd rather load up on some of these running backs.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
All right, And Hype is on the clock.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Yeah, I kind of wanted Nico to get to me.
I'm I've been a big Nico thumper since he was drafted.
I got the receipts to prove it. He's a big
guy that I've really really liked for a long time.
Was so happy that he finally like got somewhere for
these last you know, year, year and a half. But
I think I'm just gonna double down on running back
here and I'm gonna go with Bucky Irving. A lot

(18:07):
of people are like trying to fade him, and I
just don't understand why he's the guy that they wanted
to premiere in that team. I'm like, oh, must win.
Look at the must win games last year, the last
couple of weeks in the playoff game, ra Sean Waite
got one touch. Irving is the guy they want to
focus that running that running game through. So I can't

(18:29):
say no to get in him. Late second, Yeah, I
like the pick, so too.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Eight goes Bucky Irving. Drake London goes at the two nine,
and uh Matt in the chat says, I'm a fader
on Bucky Irving and then Brian on the clock back
to back picks. First you go aj Brown at the
two ten. Let us know why and who is the
first pick of the third round.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
I mean AJ Brown, I was I was happy with
any of these wide receivers that fall, whether it be
Nico London Brown PPR. I could have made that ument
from a conky here, but I love that he fell
to me. The Eagles ran at it just an absurd
rate last year. We have to see some, you know,
more passing. It's a harder schedule for him, so a
lot of that's baked into it.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
And A J.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Brown is just absolutely amazing when he's out there on
the field. So we're glad to grab him as my
first wide receiver and then running back. Chase Brown's gonna
be my guy. I have him. I have him over
Bucky Irving, I have him over Josh Jacobs. And this
being a PPR league, a horrible defense. I know they
got Shimo Stewart finally signed today, but I think he
should just absolutely feast in the passing game, all right.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
So Chase Brown goes the three to one, Matt saying
in the chat, I love Chase Brown this year. He's
got a lot of possibility there. Jonathan Taylor goes at
the three two and hype, you're back on the clock.
Third pick, of the third round. Got two running backs
on your roster already? Where do you go here?

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Ah? Well, I would like to do receiver, but there's
not a lot of guys that I like right here.
So something that I don't normally do is often that
I'm gonna just do it. I'm gonna pull the trigger
on is going tight end. I'm gonna grab Trey McBride here.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
I thought you're gonna give up your pick. I was like,
that would be come on.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Oh. I'm not usually an early tight end guy, but
it's hard to resist getting Tray, especially when he just
seems like the best value at that pick right there.
I don't love any of the receivers. I'm not huge
on McConkey this year. No hate on his talent, just
the way the offense is built. I just don't I
don't love it. I don't think I think his cost

(20:35):
is just a little too much this year.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
So Trey McBride at the three three second tight end
off the board, and coach Chase g is on the
clock at the three four and he takes Tyreek Hill,
who I have seen fall down into the fifth and
sixth rounds in these drafts. Dan, are you you're you're

(20:58):
on your Europe next, so kind of tell us are
you in on Tyreek? Like it? Can you think he
can have a comeback year this year? And then let
us know who you're picking here at the three five?

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Are the Dolphins in on Tyreek?

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Did you guys see the Tua conversation there where he's
pretty much just like, yo, this dude needs to earn
back the trust of the team and almost blatantly like that.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
It's hard for me to believe that our risk injury
makes you not be able to run, and that's kind
of what we saw with Tyreek Hill last season. The
good news is John Newsmith's out of there, right, so
it goes back to target funnel to the wide receivers.
I'm willing to take Tyreek Hill in the fourth round.
I don't think I'm willing to take him in the
third round just because you're betting on a guy who.

Speaker 5 (21:42):
Might be at that age.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Cliff.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
Now, as far as I go here, I'm kind of
with you, guys. I'm in the in between tier here
where I think the best values in the third round
are still the running back and wide receiver positions. But
I don't think there's much separation between like Aladdin, McConkie,
Garrett Wilson. I'm looking at a Kyri and Williams and look,
you know, and and.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
I want to say my next pick. So I'm hoping
he follows me in the fourth round.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
But no, no, come on, help the folks out there.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
There's sharks in this one. Dan, I don't know if
it's gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
We'll see, we'll see.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
I'm gonna go with Lad McConkey though I'm big on
the Chargers offense this season, especially in PPR leagues.

Speaker 5 (22:18):
Ladi McConkie is.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Gonna be a really good target all the way through,
and I think having a guy like Trey Harris on
the outside is actually gonna help out because now you
have a third level deep threat that actually opens up
that second level, which is where McConkie's just gonna live
right and there's it's gonna go right there. So I've
been talking about Justin Herbert, who I'm also a little
bit higher on on ADP All they had to do

(22:41):
after their bye week in Week five, we start throwing
the ball thirty two times a game, which, by the way,
is like the league average to throw the ball thirty
two times a game. Lat McConkey was a wide receiver one,
Justin Herbert was a quarterback one. So all I need
to do is through the average amount of times, Greg Roman,
and I'm gonna get top twelve performances out of Lad mcconaky.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
I liked the Lab mccocky pick. We had a bit
talk about it night on IBT Show, and I think
he's going to continue. I think that last year. Even
if he does one hundred yards less and one touchdown less,
you're still going, oh, I'm really happy with that performance
out of a third round pick. I got Josh Allen
going at the three six, first quarterback off the board.

(23:20):
Now for scoring. These are standard four point passing touchdown
six point rushing touchdowns in your standard draft format, so
you know these running quarterbacks have a slight edge. So
I can see Josh Allen going there early at the
three six. The three seven goes Garrett Wilson, and I

(23:43):
am on the clock at the three eight, and I
this is where everything doesn't pan out, Like I'm secretly
hoping there that Ladd McConkey just falls like three more
picks there, Dan, So you ruined me on that I.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Have to take JSN. Look at your team, nothing but
A there. Come on, man, I don't.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Have to tell.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
I can't look that. That's a that's a that's a
tough one for me. I can't get behind the the JSN.
And that's strongly based on the quarterback. But I'm gonna
go ahead and pick the in my opinion, what's gonna
be the wide receiver one? And I never, I repeat,
I never take tight ends this early, but I think
the separation at the position can create a roster level

(24:30):
advantage for me, especially because I feel I can get
running backs and wide receivers a little bit late. So
I'm gonna take George Kittle here at the three eight
really at a character for me, but I think that
he's just gonna be five to seven points better than
the rest through the turn.

Speaker 5 (24:49):
I thought I was a fan here, this is this.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Is PPR PPR and then Chris Night me, You're welcome
for that.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
I wanted to touch on tier Kill really fast because
I'm a nerd and I've done some video on him
earlier this year and something talking about the wrist. I
don't think it was just a risk thing for him,
he had like a lower separation rate in single coverage,
a lower deep target rate, and a higher contested target rate,

(25:29):
which I think all suggests that he's starting to lose
a step. And as sucky as that is, because I
do love Tyreek Hill, I have nothing against him. I
think like he's starting to get to that time in
his career where the age is catching up and the
speed starting to drop, and his career is based on
his speed, and he's losing that and it's not a
good one.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
Well, I'll add this to this real quick.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
Dolphins have talked about they want to get the ball
out of his hands faster, which blew my mind because
he was already by far the lowest time to release
quarterback in the NFL lash. So if he gets any faster,
what was he doing jet passes?

Speaker 5 (26:08):
I don't It doesn't make any sense to me.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
So that doesn't bode well for Tyreek Hill either, because
if that's gonna be the case, now you're asking for
a lot of screens a lot of yards after catch,
which doesn't bode well for receivers who are aging.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
M Yeah, I agree, I mean, how much faster can
you get too? He's just gonna swap the ball like
as soon as it gets at his hand is I
don't know how much faster you can go.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
So you got Jackson Smith and Jigbagos at the three
to nine, Breese Hall at the three ten going into
the fourth round, we get Amari and Hampton going at
the four to one, and he continues to climb. The nause.
News obviously is helping that go. And we got Chris
back up at the four two. Who's it gonna be Chris,
Let's see guys in chat Matt. I love the kittle pick.

(26:51):
I was hoping he would fall keep dreaming.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Breda, Yeah, kittle Well is a good pick. He's gonna
be insane U bahs carnal.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Loving the analysis on the show. You know, it is
fun that these players are getting broken down, and I
think it's gonna be even interesting, at even more interesting
as we continue to get deeper, you know, into the
into this draft. So hang in there, make sure you
hit the like butudon, make sure you hit the subject.
Laboring over the pit goes with Kyron Williams and I'm

(27:24):
sniped again. Not that I love Kyraen, but I liked
Kyroen at the value there. Oh, yeah, So for me,
I'm gonna go crazy again. I'm like, I don't know,
this is just one of those nights where I'm kind
of a little bit off the rocker. I'm drinking whiskey
and red Bull, so uh the drink and I'm gonna

(27:52):
take I'm gonna go for the well, actually, I'm not
gonna do that. I'm gonna pivot in my own head.
It's PPR. I'm I'm gonna take Alvin Kamara right here
at the three. He's gonna have a rookie. He's gonna
have people doing dump offs and he you know, outside
of a lave. Uh you know, they're they're gonna need help,

(28:14):
and I think he just gets fed.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Yeah, Kamara's the best value you'll ever get him this year.
He's I love him. I'm not trying to say too much.
I just I love Kamara. It's his values insane.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
I do want to make like a little joke because
Tyler is taking like everybody who's like Borderline age clips
except for pp But at the same time, like, I
love the value for album Kamara. Like I had a
video already on, like why is Kamar going at the
Running Back eighteen when this lowest year ever was a
running back sixteen. And I don't care if it's shocked.
I don't care if it's Rattler, God help me if
it's Jake Hayter. But either way, when you break it down,

(28:49):
it's check down. It's checkdown all day PPR like checkdown
targets are gonna be there for Kamara. Yeah, hater, got
first team reps today. Just throw that chaos out there.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
I know, which is why I brought up Oh the
guy wan it fell?

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Oh thank you, Oh Kenneth. So let me go through
this real quick. So at the camargoes four to three,
Marvin Harrison Juniors goes four to four and buy and
sell you is setting it up going going zero. RB's
got four receivers right off top, Lamb Nikoua, Garrett Wilson,
Marvin Harrison. Great roster builds so far. T Higgins goes

(29:28):
to the four to five to Matt from football guys
and then Dan, your guy fel Kenneth Walker, tell me
why you're about it, especially when I've already seen a
few little things here and there about banged up and
not banged up, and you know, the typical Kenneth Walker narrative.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
Look, maybe he misses three games. I don't really care.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
So Kenneth Walker in bad offensive systems, not conducive for
running games under Ruyn Grub and we all know Shane
Waldron's more on based on what we got to see
on the inside of Chicago, still had explosive games that
would literally.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
Win you weeks.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
He's great at one cut north south zone running, which
is exactly what Kubiak's let me bringing to the table.
It's Shanahan's running scheme for Kenneth Walker with his kind
of explosiveness, with a better offensive line after they invested
it in the draft in the offseason this past year.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
And it's Sam Darnald.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
They didn't bring Sam Donald in to throw the ball
thirty five forty times. They brought him in hoping we.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Can keep it twenty eight.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
Maybe well, focus on the running game, focus on play action.

Speaker 5 (30:32):
There's a reason.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
As much as I like Zach Charabina, there's a reason
why he's never been able to overtake Kenneth Walker. He
doesn't have the special factor that Walker has. This system
is set up beautifully for this guy. And like I said, Kubiak,
I'm just a huge fan of the system fits Kenneth
Walker is going to rake the coals, and if he's
healthy for let's say, fourteen of seventeen games, he's crushing

(30:53):
the value there.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
In the fourth round, Binking said, if Walker can stay healthy,
he's a steal. Man said, I can't buy Walker donald
the Donald point, though I hadn't thought of it. You know,
he talked about that Donald anytime. He's running for his life.
He has not been good, and I don't I don't
think that he makes it through half the season. And
then we get Jaylen Milroll. Hype takes Davante Adams at

(31:17):
the four to eight and snips, yes, uh, Brian love it.
Why Davante Adams.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
This is my guy man. Davante Adams is gonna He's
gonna surprise so many people this year. I know everyone
loves the Puka Nakua train. It's fine. I'm cool with that.
But Davante Adams is going to feasts. Stafford loves his
style of play, like he's gonna feed the hell out
of Adams man. He's I have no issue walking out
of a draft with him as my wide receiver.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
One all right them er? She Rice goes at four
point nine, and Brian, you're up at the turn four
ten and the five to one, tell us about it.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
No taking my ball, and I'm going home, like, really, look,
we've had one quarterback. We're gonna go into round five,
which just one quarterback taken at this point. I'm about
to take James because the running back value is just
falling off a cliff, so I'm gonna go ahead and
grab this. I should be taking a quarterback here. I'd
love to take Hurts to tie him with aj Brown,

(32:17):
but you still have Lamar on the on the board.
Jayden Daniels Is I've got him at four behind those
Hurts and Jackson, But goodness, I don't know if I
want to take a quarterback. Y'all aren't gonna clean clean
them all off. So I'm just gonna wait one more round.
We're gonna hold off and uh figures cross right. I
saw all he's doing right now in trading camp is

(32:37):
checking it down. But DK metcalf is making way too
much money not to get see some targets. So let's
let's go for my wide receiver to DK Metcalf. Hey,
that's all right. He made Calvin Ridley viable last year,
so I'll take it when there's only one target out there.
It's not terrible. It's not terrible.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
So DK goes at the five to one, Chuba Hover
go the five too, and Hype you're back on the
clock at the five to three.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Yeah, I don't love DK metcalf just to touch on
him real quick. I don't know. It just feels weird
to me this year. If something feels dirty, I don't.
I don't get it. He's not a separator. Rogers likes
separators and he doesn't do it. So I'm just I
feel weird. But he'll probably prove me wrong and go
crazy this year. But anyway, at my pick, I I

(33:27):
what you were just talking about, Brian the quarterbacks. It's
kind of hard to not take some of these guys
right now. But thinking that I'm in a ten man
and there's some value that will be way later, I'm
gonna go with the DJ Moore I think he is.
I think he's Ben Johnson's Amarra this year. He's gonna

(33:48):
do a lot, and I think he's really gonna he's
gonna beat the hell out of his adp.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Oh wow, Okay, so uh. DJ Moore at the five
to three I think that's some of the earliest I've
seen him go, so a way to go up and
get your guy hype. He probably doesn't make it back
to you. We got at the five to four, Lamar,
the second quarterback goes off the board, Lamar Jackson at
the five to four, and Dan's on the clock at
the five to five. What's it gonna be.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
There's a lot of different directions I can go here.
So the fifth rounds really interesting from this position because
how I go here will literally dictate the rest of
my draft in this scenario, and this is where we're
trying to figure out what's the value going to be
for the rest of the rest of this draft. And
you know, just adp wise, from what I have seen,
I like more of the deep dart wide receivers later

(34:36):
on than I do the running backs. And I think
there's a lot of quarterbacks later this year that can
be valued.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
However, however, I can't.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
I can't pass on Jalen Hurts after you know, they.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
They got away with it.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Guys again, I don't know how they keep letting the
rule not get changed.

Speaker 5 (34:57):
But guess what, Tush Push is here to stay. Give
me ten touchdowns rushing. Let's go, all.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Right, I mean you can't. I don't disagree. He fell
to me and the Scott Fish Bowl in the second round,
and I had to take him, you know, especially with
the bonus on the per rush, the bonus on the touchdown,
like the bonus on the first down. Like I'm just
I'm all in. James Cook goes the five to six
and by sale us on the clock at the five

(35:25):
to seven. All wide receivers taken so far. Let's see
if he shifts it a little bit and see. Matt said,
he took the Josh Allen Cook stack in Buffalo. I mean,
somebody's gonna rush it for a touchdown, right, Mathias, And
I don't like all ten teams. Come on, people, Hey,
bring on the hate, baby. This is how it rolls.

(35:47):
You know, if you don't like all ten teams, and
that means everybody's doing pretty good because they're messing everybody
else up. This is a live draft, real people. This
is a simulation of how it actually happens, not how
the system auto drafts. Against ADP Matt said, Hagers.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Yeah, my last three picks I had qu'ed up was
Kamaro Walker and Adam so yeah, getting to my last
completely threw me off there. Thanks Fellows, I get at
it all right, take some quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Come on. Yeah, Hurtzel is a great pick.

Speaker 5 (36:22):
I mean, thank you.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
I hate the Eagles, but uh I can't Hurts will
be a great I would love to walk away with him.
I thought I might get him next time, but nope.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Yeah, I was hoping. I was like, maybe there's a
chance they keep falling all the way.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
All right, yeah, me too.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
This is an interesting ball. So Xavier Worthy goes at
the five to seven. I sell you stacking up the
wide receiver. So he's got US two stars, he's got
US two flex and now he's got a bench wide receiver.
We'll see when he starts to address the other positions. Ooh,
and here for me, I just don't know how I

(37:01):
can not. I mean, I know that Terry McLaurin caught
a lot of touchdowns last year, but he also didn't
have much wide receiver help. So having somebody else there
to take a little bit of coverage, and and Jaden
in his second year, I don't know how the value
like Terry McLaurin in the fifth round, am I crazier

(37:22):
does it? Feel like robbery.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
No, that's that's robbery. He's he's really I'm a little
nervous the way that Washington's handling this. That's the only
thing that's keeping me really tentative about him. But he's
in my top ten if he plays, He's in my
top ten this year for fantasy. So, uh yeah, I
love Terry.

Speaker 5 (37:43):
I think it's Tyler.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
I think it's the right I think it's the right
value for him given everything. And look, as far as
the extra wide receiver help, I don't know. There might
be a linebacker and cover debot at this point. He's
kind of, you know, fat and can't move, But it's
Terry mclauran. As long as they get him signed, I
would hope. I would hope they get him signed with
at least two weeks left in training camp because I
don't want him to walk in Week one not having

(38:06):
been in football shape either. Kind of saw what happened
with like brand Ayuk. What happens when you don't get
that time in and then it leads to lack of production,
It leads to.

Speaker 5 (38:16):
The potential of injury.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
And I'm not saying Tarr mclorwan ursus acl if he didn't,
but you know, it does lead to those type of things.

Speaker 5 (38:23):
So this deal needs to get done within the next
two weeks for me to feel good about it.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
Yeah, Jason from Footballers did a whole thing about how
if you miss camp, like your PPG goes down like
a pretty good amount, you tend to miss games. It's
it actually really takes a big hit on your fantasy outcome.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
So see Burrow or McLaury needs a contract. He does,
but I think he gets done getting Burrow there is
a safe floor, but I definitely early. And then we
got banking five our receivers is crazy. Watch him take
number six next he might you know here, so I

(39:05):
have a wide receiver that I really want here. But
the way that this is where you got to kind
of watch the board and I feel like the way
that running back position is thinning so quickly and starting
to shift. I mean, David Montgomery here goes at the
six two, so he had Borrow at the five to nine,
Courtland Sutton at the five to ten, Jade Daniels at

(39:26):
the six to one. David Montgomery goes to the six
to two. It makes me worry that some of my
running back targets probably don't make it back around to me.
And it's a pretty distinct drop off from there. So
I'm gonna take a I've got my two PPR machines.
I'm gonna take another guy that I think is really
gonna shine in a PPR format in an offense with

(39:47):
another young quarterback, and I'm gonna slightly reach a little
bit here at the six to three and I'm gonna
take Trevon Henderson.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Don't hate it. Yeah, yeah, Tray's gonna be good. He
might start slightly slow, He'll be awesome this year.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
And I got Kamara McCaffrey, you know, to hold me
through until he gets going. So if I sell you
back on the clock six to four, he's got five
wide receivers. We have to shift. And that's another reason,
Like you know he's going to take running back there.
I feel like it, and you know, I wanted to
go ahead and get and he does.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
He takes J.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Harvey with the six to four, Brian, is there any
weird worry I've seen RJ. Harvey fall because of the JK.
Dobbins stuff. Is there any worry there? Or is it
still R. J.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
Harvey's backfield I wouldn't say necessarily it's his backfield. I'm
getting healthy shares of both of the guys. I want
a piece of this offense. This is I believe it's
a top three rated offensive line across you know, whether
it's Pff or Warren Sharp. So you know, getting a
running back in that thing. We've we've seen the research
done Sean Payton's running backs. They throw to him at
the you know, the the fifth highest rate outside of

(40:56):
like any other coach. So I want a piece of it.
And here is six four in the sixth round. It's
a ten man leagues. It's probably closer to like a
four or five turn in a twelve, but I'm okay
with it. I don't mind taking the risk. We know
rookie running backs they're gonna hit. We don't know, not
necessarily all of them are gonna break their ADP. But
he's one I'm willing to take that shot on.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Yeah, all right, So monteg Sam Laporta at the six
five and grabs his tight end. He now has his quarterback,
he has his starting wide receivers, he has his starting
running backs, and he's got his tight end. So now
he's about building a good bench, He's got his starters.
Dan comes in and you take DeAndre Swift, who is
somebody I have not been war and vocally, why are

(41:35):
you in on DeAndre Swift right here at the six six?

Speaker 4 (41:38):
Well, it's kind of weird because I think this might
be the first draft I took DeAndre Swift, to be
honest with you. So it's kind of a situation where
we're here in the sixth round and I'm looking at
the other running backs on the board.

Speaker 5 (41:50):
Joe Mixon, I'm out touching with a ten foot pole.
He's already hurt. He's old.

Speaker 4 (41:53):
But Checko could be in a three way swing. We
have no idea quin Shawn Jenkins is not even under contract.
Aaron Jones now has Jordan Us to take away potential touchdowns.
Everyone likes to crap all over DeAndre Swift. Oh, he
ran out of town, bet, but he's still a thousand
yards rushing with Ben Johnson that final year.

Speaker 5 (42:10):
He's still pretty productive.

Speaker 4 (42:11):
Roseean Johnson hasn't showed us anything that he can actually
take over this backfield. Maybe he's annoying in the red zone,
but Swift's gonna catch the ball. Sw It's going to
be the main running back. This is going to be
a much better offense. He's my third running back here,
he's playing in the flex. He's got too good of
an opportunity for me to just kind of pass, considering
the tier that we're kind of looking at and the

(42:32):
wide receivers are kind of the same boat. We're all
kind of the same guy. I want to see how
it shakes out in the next round.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
Yeah, sorry, go ahead.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
Now keep rolling. Ted mc millan there at the six seven,
rookie and hype you're on the clock at the sixth eight.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
Yeah, swift is he's great for your third running back.
I don't love him, but that's fine, Like, there's potential
in that offense. Although Ben Johnson loves too running backs,
so do not skip on my boy. Or but George
Pickens going with him here. He's gonna do awesome things
this year on my Cowboys offense. So I think this

(43:10):
is the year he really breaks out, be getting to
play with Dak and someone like CD on the field
with him. So yeah, him being my third wide receiver
feels like a complete steal for me.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
Matt says, Pickens scares the hell out of me. Let
me tell you this, I'm in hype. Pickens Pickens was
my debate there between Trevon Henderson and George Pickens. That
was my debate at the six to three, hoping he
would make it back. I should have known he wouldn't.
But how it goes, Jamison Williams goes to the six

(43:40):
to nine and here we go Brian rounding out the
end of the sixth round and entering us into seven.
Who are your guys?

Speaker 3 (43:47):
Well, I don't know. I got a pivot. I was
going into this cool like, all right, look at me.
I've got my three stone running backs. I've got consistency there.
Let me shoot for the high upside, the crazy just
the dk metcat low flour, really high ceiling. George Pickens,
I was gonna pair him up, give me the chaos
brothers there as my two wide receivers. But you know
we don't get to have that segment, thanks a lot.

(44:08):
So we're gonna go ahead and grab Wattle here because
he was gonna be my second pick PPR. I think
we're talking about Tyreek Hill taking a fadeback. Well with
no John who, somebody's gonna absorb some targets. We've seen
Wattle finish in the top ten before, so he seems
like an easy grab here in PPR.

Speaker 5 (44:21):
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Look it happened. Okay, I promise I saw the stats.
I had to relook it up, but it happened. Montas
Smith would probably be my pick here. I do have
aj Brown. It's a ten man league. I look like
looking around the draft room, I don't really see these
people as being really good traders. You know, they're gonna
try and take advantage of me in some sort of trade.
So I'm not gonna double up on the Eagles wide receivers.

(44:44):
Oh boy, do we do it?

Speaker 2 (44:47):
No?

Speaker 3 (44:47):
I don't want two Pittsburgh players.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (44:49):
You know?

Speaker 3 (44:49):
All right, let's go for upside. Liam Cohen's coming to town.
Does madness happen? Can we get a top eight offense
from him? Give me one of the like the biggest
smiles we've seen come out of there, I think ever Travis Hunter?

Speaker 1 (45:02):
All right? Travis Hunter goes to the save one seven
to one, Save me a little bit of headache since
I already have BTJ and I was like considering it.
Judkins goes to the seventh.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
Wait, we got Rice and Judkins on the same team.
Can we just look at that real quick?

Speaker 1 (45:17):
Hey, look, somebody does not care about their off the field.

Speaker 3 (45:23):
Going over here too.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Once we get to the kick, Yeah, his team is
cell blocked nine. Bro we got yeah.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
Man, I was hoping Jmo would fall he didn't. Uh,
Waddle needs to stay healthy. Wait is this a mock draft?
This is a mock draft? Thinking this is a standard
ten team. One quarterback, two running back, two wide receiver,
two flex tight end, kicker and defense PPR. Yeah, PPR.
Love Hunter and I d P had a case for

(45:55):
the one one in rookie I DP formats agreed. Uh
the new talking about Big Dynasty, Big Mac, the new
meme machine. Yes, all right, if you're on the clock
here at the seventh.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
Three, okay, uh yeah. It seems like me and Brian
have a lot of the same taste in players. So
I thought he might take this guy and he didn't,
and I was really happy. But uh, I'm gonna take
Chris Olava here. There's a lot of upside there. It's
a little scary, but there's so much upside. There's rookie quarterbacks.

(46:28):
If shuck is there, they like to lean on their
wide receiver one, so why not. He's not going to
get sent at the hospital anymore hopefully, So.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
Probably the best gamble you can have as your wide
receiver four. Yeah, granted Pickens might be just as risky potentially,
but I see a huge upside for him. I love
the pick. It's just do you have the stones to
do it? But here in the seventh round, it's a
pick you can you can gamble on exactly.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
I can live with it in the seventh So yeah,
Joe Mixon going at the seventh flour and Dan here
up at the who is it?

Speaker 4 (47:02):
Well, First of all, chrys O Lobby has been auto
on seventh round, so I hate you for that.

Speaker 5 (47:07):
But yeah, I totally agree with the pick. By the way,
So basically I was looking at two guys.

Speaker 4 (47:12):
Right here, and we're getting to the point where we're
gonna take the step from PPR viable getting a lot
of volume type of wide receivers to the guys who
are going to be more big play oriented, maybe need
to have a bust out unexpected season. So the last
guy on my list who kind of falls at the
category of I know PPR wise, I'm getting fourteen plus

(47:34):
points out of you on most weeks, given how the
offense is centered around you, that's say Flowers for me.
So Mark Andrews is getting older here, Lamar Jackson's been
getting more comfortable each year in the Todd Mockin offense.
Zave Flowers is a great separator, a great route runner,
and we still haven't seen the best out of him yet.
So that's the other thing I really like about him

(47:56):
with this pick, there is still some upside to go here,
so that's why it was a reserve.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
In the seventh so.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
Zay Flowers the seven to five, DeVonta Smith finally goes
at the seven six, lining out Matt Swide receivers and
then Bicell You is back on the clock at the
seven seven five ride receivers plus R. J. Harvey we'll see,
and then he takes his tight end TJ. Hockinson off

(48:22):
the board at the seven seven, And now it's me
And this is the arena of the draft that I hate.
Like most of my targets are before this arena and
then after this arena, like I've got my deep grabs,
I've got my early grabs, and like it's like this
middle tier that's real fuzzy for me as far as
players that I want. And so I'm just gonna continue

(48:44):
to dive into a position that typically you end up
going through. I've got two, as you said it kind
of older running backs that are gonna get a lot
of work. So maybe one gets banged up, maybe something happens,
and and I'm gonna pair again with a with a
rookie quarterback, and uh, I'm gonna take a mint. I'm

(49:08):
gonna take Memphis rualty right here and take Tony Pollard
with a grimace. I don't know if I like it
this late?

Speaker 2 (49:18):
Why not? Yeah, he's fine this late.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
Yeah, So seven eight, Tony Poller goes off the board.
Chrislock at the seven to nine takes Jordan Addison. Now
we're at the turn, Johnny Man with the seven to
ten and the eight to one.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Team two is gonna be upset. They miss out on Addison.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
To uh to touch on the save Flowers pick. You mentioned.
It's really funny you mentioned fourteen points because I actually
this year I started something that I kind of came
up with called the impact rating, which for like running
backs and wide receivers, it's how many times they score
at least fourteen points a game. I kind of counted
them as qualifying at like a sixty percent like played games, right,

(50:00):
and Zay Flowers hit not that rat he got I
think just under fifty percent or something like that. But
I just thought it was funny you brought that that point.
That number up for points.

Speaker 4 (50:10):
Well, that's kind of the caveat what you're looking for, right,
because if you have a baseline of what of fourteen
points a game, then you're sitting at least somewhere in
that twenty four to twenty seven range typically speaking, so
most of the times you're you're starting wide receiver. But
again with Zave Flowers, there's that potential of you just
haven't seen it all come to fruition yet for him,
and I think as Mark Andrews gets a little bit older,

(50:32):
I think you're gonna start to see more targets kind
of get funneled his way.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
Yeah, yeah, I can agree that it's possible. Yeah, I
just liked the fourteenth point. I think that was that
was fun Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
So here I'm I don't always do this, but sometimes
I'll take a little bit of a defensive route and
despite the hate for the player, and I think last year,
he laid a lot fatter than he typically does. He

(51:04):
played a lot heavier than he typically does. And I
think this off season he worked out more like I
think he saw it in the tape. He worked out harder.
He looks thinner and uh and so I'm gonna double
up on tight end and take Travis Kelcey.

Speaker 5 (51:22):
He looks like he's in his twenties.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
So yeah, the nineties.

Speaker 1 (51:30):
At the end of the day, if Kittle gets banged up,
because he's the only receiver like you have Kelsey there.
So I've really solidified that position with two potential tops.
I've already covered my whole starting roster and got into
my flexes. There's tons of deep wide receivers that I
love that I think can put up. This is good
value points. So I don't mind doing this right now

(51:51):
because I don't want to go ahead and waiste his
pick on quarterback, you know. Anyways, So bise he takes
Caleb Johnson at the at the eight four, eight five,
Aaron Jones stands on the clock with the eight six.

Speaker 4 (52:04):
Well, now I'll finally take my forty nine. He's Louise
Tyler was sniper day. But yeah, Juwan Jennings. Look, we
here's the thing with the Brandon Ayuk injury. One, I
don't think he's gonna be back till early mid October,
Like that's the earliest he could.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
Be back by.

Speaker 4 (52:20):
And then I brought it up earlier we're talking about
contract holdouts. How bad was he when he didn't get
the practice and that was a hold out, it wasn't
an injury, Like, how bad was he the first seven weeks?
So if he doesn't get the practice coming off an
ACL and MCL injury, Remember this was not just a
single ACL tear. Jwan Jennings has been the bread and
butter basket next to George Kittle as far as its

(52:42):
clutch situation is third downs.

Speaker 5 (52:44):
And then we saw him do something we maybe weren't
sure he.

Speaker 4 (52:47):
Was capable of last season when he nearly got a
thousand yards and it took a while for them to
really sell behind the idea that he had to be
their number one wide receiver, and he proved it. And
then you combine the fact that you know, yes, it's springtime,
but but all reports have been Juwan Jennings head and
shoulders even when pearceoll is on the field, looks like
the best wide receiver for the forty nine ers.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
They have the easiest.

Speaker 4 (53:07):
Schedule in the NFL. Points are gonna be scored for
this offense coming up this year? Have my wide receiver
four right yere? This is my second flex. Yeah, I'm
all about it. I'm gonna have a safe four. I
know every single season, every single week.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
Love it.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
We got him. Athias in the chat said, how do
y'all feel about Zay Flowers if he gets two touchdowns
week one, knowing he would only get two more touchdowns
the rest of the year. More. Yeah, we'll see. Godwin
goes at the eight seven after Jwan Jennings and at
the eight eight hype you're on the clock.

Speaker 3 (53:41):
Take care. Can we not take somebody? I have of
gout on my cube?

Speaker 2 (53:44):
Please? I'll try my best here.

Speaker 3 (53:47):
We'll see.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
I feel like now you're making me nervous. I feel
like if I don't take this other guy, I might
not get him.

Speaker 3 (53:52):
Take your quarterback and we're good.

Speaker 2 (53:54):
Alright, alright, Tyler. I just wanted to point out your
team is either thirty or twenty two. You have two
ages on your team, so that's great. Yeah, So you
just made me nervous. I was going to go quarterback
and now I don't want you. You know what, I'm
just gonna go with. It's this is my go Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
Baker Mayfield at the eight guys too much offense, So yeah,
Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Jade Daniels,
and Baker Mayfield in the eighth round. Those are the
quarterbacks taken so far. Several teams do not have quarterbacks yet.
Dynasty Big Mac takes Rome Doonsday at the eight nine

(54:39):
and Brian, you're on the clock at the turn.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
I'm nervous.

Speaker 3 (54:45):
No, I'm getting to the point where I got to
start reach in a little bit more than I want
to here in the draft. But this being a PPR league,
I gotta take this guy. He's coming off the injury,
but all looks like he's ready for a week one.
He had a twenty you're a twenty four percent target
share last year and that was behind Nico Collins. Now
he's the number one for his team, so there's lots

(55:08):
of hype behind Drake may So let me get his boy,
or what should be his boy. My first bench player
Stefan Dicks.

Speaker 2 (55:14):
I thought that was gonna be Godwin, No's already gone.

Speaker 1 (55:18):
When at the eight to seven, Oh.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
Yeah, I didn't even Oh yeah, coach, Wow.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
Okay, Now I'm gonna grab a quarterback here. There is
a mobile quarterback that's above the one as far as
ADP goes. But I'm gonna take somebody who has a
little bit more experience, at least in the NFL. I
think they're about the same age. But give me Caler
Murray here. I really like this offense bouncing back just
a bit more than where they were.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
I agree with that. So Stefan Diggs at the eight ten.
Kyler Murray starts out the ninth round as the what
seventh quarterback off the board and Dynasty Big Max on
the clock at the nine to two takes Patrick Mahomes
eight quarters off the board. Do we get a quarterback
run right here? Is this what happens? Well, Hype, I

(56:04):
know you're not. You just took one, But else are
you taking? At the nine three?

Speaker 2 (56:09):
Well something sneaky. Actually, I didn't mention about Baker as
he had sixty rushes for three hundred and seventy eight
yards and three touchdowns last year. So he has a
really good floor. It's another reason that I took him.
I just forgot to mention earlier. AnyWho, you didn't take
the player that I wanted. Thank god. I was pretty
worried that Brian was going to but I this might
be my favorite pick of the entire fantasy draft redraft

(56:32):
season for Kobe Myers Man.

Speaker 3 (56:34):
He was in consideration. I almost double sapped him and
stuff on digs funny enough.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
Yeah, that's why you had me scared.

Speaker 3 (56:42):
But I was like, I can't take a six wide receiver,
can I come on?

Speaker 1 (56:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (56:45):
Right, yeah, I get that. Yeah. Oh, Jacoby's Jacoby's awesome.
There's a lot of things that are going very well
for his in his favor this year in the offseason.
So Gino like the most accurate passer the last couple
of years. The defense as a whole getting better. They
have a run game, It'll open things up in the field.
There's some players Besh and Thornton on the team that

(57:07):
can take a little take some of the eyes of
the defense off of them. So yeah, Jacoby's kind of
a home run for me.

Speaker 1 (57:13):
In the ninth round, Matthias and giving a little bit
of love says he likes the draft strategy of teams
one and two could have taken a quarterback a little later, though.

Speaker 3 (57:23):
It's a mark draft. I got experiment a little bit. Yeah,
but oh, I'm completely on that team. I'm with you there, Mathison.

Speaker 1 (57:31):
Coach Chase on the clock at the nine to four,
and we'll see who he takes. And he takes Cooper
Cup at the nine to four in a Seattle offense,
which is less than to be desired. But Dan, I
know you've aired out on that already. Who's he going
to be at the nine to five right here?

Speaker 5 (57:51):
Yeah, So I'm looking at this.

Speaker 4 (57:55):
There's two guys, and I feel gross about both of them.
But with the opportunity have, like after this pick, I'm
probably going to be looking to go, you know, with
my my dart throws right my upside guys, this is
probably the last pick where I'm like, all right.

Speaker 5 (58:07):
I want one more bench.

Speaker 4 (58:09):
Guy who has opportunities headed his way that I know
I can plug and play in a tight pinch in
case somebody gets hurt. Feels gross, it does, but I'm
going Jamonte Williams, Uh, you can talk to me about
Miles Sanders. Miles Sanders for three years. I don't know
why people think Miles standers, so is something left to
offer he does not? And then they just aired out

(58:32):
Jayden Blue for essentially being lazy. I mean, did you
guys see that report of the coaching stat is like
he's not even getting like reps with close to the
first team. And I look at Rico Donnell, who finished
the top twenty four running back just based on volume.
I don't think Recal Donald's anything. Give me Javonte. I
think this is offense. As long as Dak's healthy, this
is going to be a higher scoring office. This is

(58:53):
going to be a top twelve scoring offense this season
with with George Pickens and so the opportunities for inside
the five yard line carries for.

Speaker 5 (59:00):
Javans, it should be there.

Speaker 4 (59:01):
He's a decent pass protector, so I don't think you
should just knock his his potential floor for targets either,
So give me him there, all right?

Speaker 1 (59:09):
Yeah, I you know, I don't hate that pick. I
think he's got a lot of potential. I think he's
been a dynasty like grab for me, Like, hey, let
me just throw a third round pick at it in
a trade and just see what he does. It's worth
that to me because he came in as one of
the highest regarded running backs in that class and then
just didn't didn't if he's coming off a big injury,
didn't really get time to get going, and they wouldn't

(59:31):
commit to him. And sometimes you just need tempo, like
you need you need some some carry. It's like it's like, uh,
you know, Derrick Henry gets better the more carries he gets,
you know, and sometimes you need that, and I think
he can get that in this offense. And so I
really like that pick. Then we see a running back
round Tyrone Tracy uh Pacheco goes off the board. Now
Here's so sometimes in a draft, especially at the running

(59:53):
back position, I like to stack up running backs because
I feel like a running back that I get here
in the ninth, tenth, or eleventh round that has high
upside if they pop, I can net in a trade
to get one of those wide receivers from the two,
three four range. So it's like a value pick. I
want to overload a position one and I don't mind

(01:00:14):
running all running back flexes, especially if they catch the football,
but a lot of potential here in the in the
wide receivers, Like, I know who I want at wide
receiver is going to be their next next pick around.
So I'm going to go here and I'm going to
take Travis Et.

Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
Okay, Okay, he's he hasn't taken any of the running
back rep so far and camp out here. But I mean,
who knows what that means. It's it's got the passing works,
so why not?

Speaker 4 (01:00:46):
Right yeah, and honestly on my team on the backfield
right now, I mean, it wasn't really prolific as a
receiver coming out of college. You can't pass protect a lick,
so he might not even play just for that reason.
Tank Bigsby, we knows this is in the passing game.
The only guy left Travis Et.

Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
La Quinn Allen. Don't brush off the seventh round pick.

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
Come on, I think that they just I think they
want to kevt and fresh, that he's been with them
for a long time. I don't think that that changes anything.
I think he is an example of one of those
players that has just fallen.
