But I do want to give a shout out to
my guy Corey, who gave me this new camera. You

like grainy pixelated version, so if you don't like it, sorry, you're.

Speaker 7 (02:11):
J O f RK. Let's party, man, it's free agency time, Tyler.
Let's party, dude.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I know, dude, and you know it's been a while
free agency thus far. And it kicked off quick, like
I feel like it was like, you know, we were
all waiting for something or anything to happen, and then
everything happened in a period of like two days, you know,
real quick. We got Brent in the chat. Let's go, guys.

(02:36):
Appreciate you tuning in BHS Cardinal excited for the show.
Appreciate your tuning in. But yeah, I mean, and I'll
start off with a doozy What about that Cooper cup
to the Seahawks contract, Mike, you already smiling big. What's
your thoughts? Man?

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Yeah, I mean, anytime you can get a thirty one
year old redundant receiver who does all the same things
you're as sending receiver does, like you gotta jump on that.
I mean, fifteen million dollars a year for three years,
what a strong signing. Sam Darnold behind a terrible offensive
line is going to look exactly as good as you
look to Minnesota.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
What a great offseason for the Seahawks. That's all sarcastic, no.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Sarcasm there. That was That was Mike's real heat, like
bringing it love the signing.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Uh wait for the quote later out of context, you know.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
In other in other news, like if you played Dynasty,
I was talking about last show. You know there's a
that's a bad old line and Donald it's gonna get smashed.
So if you have Sam Howe, hold on to him
because about mid season you will be able to deal
him because he'll probably.

Speaker 6 (03:49):
Be starting how many points in your league? Do you
get for seeing ghosts that you.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Know he's gonna be demons say something that said not ghosts.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
So you know, obviously, you know we've got we've got
a ton to cover. But you know, right off top,
you know, I just want to kind of go around
the circle of the free agency signings or you can
good team and good player, you know, just what excites
you for fantasy? Give me your biggest winner, like whether

(04:23):
I mean it could even be for you, can you
can speak selfishly like if you've got a lot of
you know, I know I've got a lot of shares
of some players and so you know, something's hitt and
I'm like, yes, I'm set for the next four years,
you know. But yeah, Johnny starts off like, what what's
one thing out of free agency that just really pop
you're really excited about? Uh?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
For me, man, my one dynasty team I have, I
have Jade and Daniels. So obviously Larry larry tontele uh
Laramie Tuntle, that's uh, that's a nice move for me
right there for sure. And obviously I think the addition
to Deebo, Samuel and a lot of uh, you know,
vacated targets that's left with them not really having like
a clear cut number two wide receiver. It's definitely one

(05:03):
of the things for me, from like a fantasy perspective,
I'm pretty excited about. I think a team that completely
is it's well. Two things actually, one that's under the
radar is the Denver Broncos and what they've did on defense,
just continuing to build. I like what they're doing out
there for sure. And then I'm gonna jump in on
the Kayleb Williams train this year. Continuing to upgrade the
offensive line.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
I like Kayleb Williams last I don't think he was
as bad as what people actually thought. I just think
it was a really good rookie quarterback class, and I
think he's poised for a nice ascending second year in
that Chicago offense.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah, you know you mentioned I mean both and BHS.
Cardinal popped in and said Washington is building a monster.
Both Washington and I feel like he was Chicago. Like
in Chicago's a little bit more under the radar. We're
doing a lot like they're really helping where they had
big holes. You know, if I'm a Jaden owner, which
I'm not, Unfortunately I had no picks early to attain

(06:01):
him last last year. But um, you have to be excited,
you know. But yeah, I mean those are great points.
I'm really excited to see what those I mean, those
two ball clubs do. Uh for twenty twenty five? What
about you, Mike?

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah, my big winner from the twenty twenty five free
agency period has been all of the very mid free agents.
So Justin Fields goes to a place, he looks like
he's gonna be the starter. Najee Harris goes somewhere, He
looks like he's gonna be the starter. Javonte Williams goes somewhere.
It looks like he's gonna be the starter. Those are
all guys that left a bad taste in our fantasy mouths.
But now like there's some hope you could talk the
guy in your league and be like, hey, this is

(06:41):
gonna be worth something. You should trade for him.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
So let me ask you this, Javonte Williams, Yep, are
you buying or sell them?

Speaker 4 (06:51):
I depends on the price range right now. So I'll
go ahead and check over. We have some friends at
Fantasy Calf. They take real trade data from leagues on
sleeper and they figure out what the price is. So
right now, Javonte Williams is going right around gross Ricky Piersoll,
Kyle Pitts. So that is the two o six. Ish,

(07:13):
I'll buy him for that. For a two oh six,
I would wait until see how the draft shakes out first,
but h I think he's a nice speculative ad right now.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
So I got offered Javonte for the two nine, and
I thought it was a little bit rich for me.
You know, I wanted to be like an early third.
I think, just a little bit of shift. But that's
also my incessant need to like just win a little bit.
You know, you got the calculator. I just need like

(07:46):
that little bit of edge where I feel good about it,
you know. Now that's I'm really interested. I don't think
I don't think he's got a fair shake, and I
don't think Dallas, I mean obviously with signing him, signing
Miles sand like, it doesn't seem like they're trying to
prioritize getting a running back, which everybody hoped they would, right,

(08:08):
So it definitely gives you some hope. I think, if
you can buy him, like if I could buy him
for a late second, early third. I think that I'm
in on just the possibility because he is still young
and he was coming off injuries, you know, like last
season he's got the first full depth of production. So no,

(08:29):
I like that there was a lot of good mids
that could potentially you know, those deep grabs like you
like last year. You know, you take you take a
mid round stab at JK. Dobbins, you know, and you
get you get an eighteen point week average, you know,
except for the five games he missed. But you know,
still I'm good running back twenty four late, you know,

(08:52):
and that that kind of I get the Javante, you know,
the vibes from that. So I love that call, you know,
excited about it. What about you, Joe, Well.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
Now I just need to like think about the fact
that like nauj is like a mini guy hurts me.

Speaker 7 (09:14):
It hurts me too, Yes, yeah, Tyler. I mean we
have like primarily Steelers fans tonight. I mean, as you
can see.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Rocking the Mason Rudolph Jersey, We're back, baby, Like I.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Gotta put the tape over by Justin Fields Jersey.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Well, no, you see, I had the tape over my
Mason Jersey last year and I had to pull it
back off because he's home and Justin's gone. But I
think the one that's really interesting for me, and I
think that it's not necessarily a secret, is Emon Ingram
going to the Broncos. They didn't have a second pass
catcher outside of Courtland Sutton. Even when he joined the team,

(09:49):
you saw him tweet out like the joker as like, oh,
like look at me, welcome to the team. So how
is Sean Payton going to utilize him? I'm really excited
to see what they do with him next year.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Year.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
He was a bit of a surprise cut for me
from the Jaguars because he's not old. He didn't underperform,
so it was like, oh wow, they went and did this.
But I think the Denver was one of the premier
landing spots. I thought he was gonna go to the Chargers,
but either one of those two it seemed like a
really good fit for him.

Speaker 7 (10:19):
So I think he's gonna ball out next year.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
I like that Evan Ingram signing, Like, obviously they want
to use tight ends. They haven't really had one that
they could use, which is why we got Lucas Kroll
you know, irrelevant last season, you know, like they definitely
need somebody. I don't know, maybe they feel maybe Jacksonville
feels really good about Britain strange. Maybe they're planning on
taking somebody. It's definitely interesting. The free agency shifts have

(10:47):
been pretty pretty crazy, and Matt Stafford picking up weapons
and getting Devanta Adams like that's killer. You know, I
was trying to think who who might be my biggest winner.
I don't know that I really have somebody that stands out.

(11:09):
I think that's gonna get superior production. I'm really interested
in these freaking rookies, like they're driving me nuts and like,
like this is the probably one of the deepest running
back classes, not only from like built brick house right players,
but guys that are also fast. You know that the
four four forty average of you know, in the running

(11:30):
backs was was stellar. Soun'd really interested, Like, I think
Dallas could take somebody late. I think, you know, I
think the Raiders are going to probably you know, try
to grab somebody. Uh, you know, the the Steelers could
grab somebody, like you know, everybody's like, oh, Jalen Warren season.
I think it's far too early to be screaming that narrative.
You know, there's just a lot of talent there, and

(11:53):
uh for fantasy, you know, for me anyways, I always
prioritize running back because it's it's a position it's so
hard to get in quality and maintain right because the
life expectancy is not as long as a receiver.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
You know.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
That's why there's so many wide receiver heavy teams. So
when you can nab a really good running back, you know,
I think that that's a separator, you know. And like
this feels like a draft, and Mike and I know
you're you're kind of nod in there. This feels like
a draft where there's some some guys there even that
you're gonna be able to get second, third round. They

(12:28):
could have just as much of a shot at starting
somewhere as somebody that you've spent a first round pick on.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
So I worked on the football guys, rookie guy, you
guys should go to check it out. Version two dropped Thursday.
It's completely free. Uh, looking at my list one through five,
I have them all rated. They can be the lead
back in an offense, really drive the ship there. Six
all the way to nineteen. These are strong, complimentary pieces
that can be the one A or the one being
an offense. These are guys that should be relevant for

(12:57):
our fantasy teams if an injury happens. We're talking about
guys like, you know, all the way down at the bottom,
Kyle m Nungui a RB nineteen, r J Harvey, Baschall
Twoton who turned heads of the combine, Damian Martinez. Like
your third round picks this year, take the running back,
Take the running back, Take the running back and just
enjoy the profits.

Speaker 7 (13:13):
Yeah, one end out. Just take a running back this year. Yeah, yeah,
you know it feels like that.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
It feels like you can win. Like in the in
the fourth it's it's like when James Robinson went undrafted.
Now you didn't get years of production, but you've got
a couple a year of production at least. But like,
you know, like there's guys like that where you could
see let me let me ask you this running backs
on the way out. So like there's where I think
we talked about in the show. We're at kind of

(13:41):
the changing of the guard with the running back position,
and you know there's a lot of guys that are
phasing out and obviously this class is huge. We got
a lot of running backs coming in, you know, even
like two Ohio State guys absolutely stellar, Like, there's just
so much coming in. Nick Chubb and Nick Chubb. What's

(14:03):
the price that you would pay for Nick Chubb?

Speaker 6 (14:07):
That is my wife's favorite player. I gotta make sure
that he's not near shot.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
So I got offered Nick Chubb for the three to nine.

Speaker 7 (14:18):
And shop the free agent unsigned as this.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Do you think he stays that way?

Speaker 7 (14:26):
Does he stay unsigned?

Speaker 6 (14:27):
No? But if you look at the number of teams
that need a running back right now, it's pretty slim pickens.
And if they are, they are in a prime position
to get an elite, young, not hurt talent.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Well, you know, Cleveland hasn't put off the table of
signing him back. They're allowing him to check out his options.
I think they would like to keep him, And would
you agree, Johnny.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
I think that's definitely a possibility. There's also some other
teams I think that could be in the mix. Like obviously,
you know there's a lot of teams that need running back.
I think, Uh, Cincinnati, ironically enough, to me, I think
is a really unique place because you have Chase Brown, right,
But you also are gonna need somebody who's gonna be
able to move the change for you a little bit
and maybe he stays healthy. I think New Orleans is

(15:14):
another place as well, that is like a place that
you know, players go to die, so like that could
be that could be enough.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Well yeah, well yeah for sure, for sure, for sure.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Yeah, but yeah, I think like those are definitely like
a couple of teams man that, like I think about it,
and even like just to get really really dirty, I
think you could even talk about the New York Giants
like as well, like that could be a place where
like he could be used but a potential change of
pace with Tyrone Tracy and the Giants weren't terrible running
the football last year statistically, like they were a bad

(15:47):
football team. So I think there's a couple of places,
but it's not anything that excites me or makes my
teeth white.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Yeah, so no, go on the three nine for Nick
Chubb if I've gotta win. I don't know, is.

Speaker 8 (16:02):
It's so high, so high, Like it's like it's almost
like you just like like somebody's like, oh, three nine
like this, you know, it's so late in the draft,
especially like your twelfth twelfth team league or something like that.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
You're like, man, it's like, you know, it's like the
it's like Zeke for the last couple of years. You're like,
do I want to take a fourth rounder on Zeke? Maybe?

Speaker 3 (16:24):
You know?

Speaker 1 (16:25):
And Nick Chubb like he when he came back at
the end of the like, it's not I don't think
he's done. I think he's you know, he's twenty nine
or whatever. But I don't think he's done. I don't know.
It's a debating thing. But we're gonna get over here
to Brent Bradford's question, why just mumble over you know
what I think Nick Chubb should do. So the two
Steelers fans. We got two big Steelers fans in the house, right,

(16:47):
johnn Did you say you're a Steelers fan? Also?

Speaker 7 (16:49):
Yeah, you see.

Speaker 9 (16:54):
That.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
So we got the question, and I'm interested. I have
a absolute a ton of Pickens shares, no DK shares,
a ton of Picking shares. So Brent says, does Pickens
be Does Pickens benefit from the from DK and Pittsburgh?

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Do you think I mean, I'll go ahead and start.
I think yeah, I think he benefits. I think it
just depends on number one obviously if is it gonna
be made, Is it gonna be Aaron Rodgers. They're not
gonna throw the ball like enough for sure, But I
think like it's a possibility that it's not a volume thing,
but it could be a it could be a yardage thing.
I think teams obviously have to play them different.

Speaker 5 (17:36):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
With having those two guys on the field, I think
George Pickens has shown, like you know, he can be
one on one coverage like all day long if he's
in the right headspace. So long story short, I think
it's a benefit for Pickens to have DK Metcalf. They're
just like, I think it's gonna benefit DK Metcalf having
George Pickens on the other side.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
So I've gotten a little bit of mixed mixed on this,
you know, because I've talked to a few different people
about it, and you know, in my opinion, I feel like,
you know, picking with DK that like Pickens performed last year,
like in double coverage, in triple coverage, like you know,
the guy he's catching the ball when he shouldn't catch
the ball, you know, So with having DK there, you know,

(18:17):
I figure, I'm like, Okay, he's got to like it
Pickens against cornerback Two's right, Like, I'm like, he should
absolutely smoke. But then then and I'm gonna I'm gonna ask,
I'm gonna lean this to Mike. The the big, the
big thing that seems to be the debacle is like, yes,

(18:37):
the weapons are there, yes the space is there, but
ultimately Arthur Smith is running the offense and they kill
it all.

Speaker 6 (18:49):
Listen, who is the best quarterback that Arthur Smith has
ever had?

Speaker 1 (18:52):
The lead?

Speaker 3 (18:52):
Already?

Speaker 7 (18:54):
Ryan, come on, man.

Speaker 5 (18:57):
And is Mason Rudolph better or worse than that?

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (19:04):
I say that a guy that currently has a basic
jersey on.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
I'll take him unday. I'll take him unday. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
So what do you think, Mike it does? Does Smith
really play a role like is it? Can we see,
you know, another big season from Pickens, maybe even a
higher production level, not.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
In twenty twenty five.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
With one caveat, if Aaron Rodgers goes there, I just
looked it up, this would be the highest volume passing
offense since twenty twenty one, and that's by a lot,
and that was with forty year old Ben Roethlisberger. So
if it turns into twenty twenty one. There is a
chance that he could finish you know, wide receiver two range,

(19:47):
but increase target competition, change of role, unhappy when he
doesn't get the ball, higher probability of crash out. There's
a lot of ways that this can go very wrong.
And I say this is a strong Pickings supporter. I
will probably not be drafting him unless I get the
Rogers news that night might throw some darts in beastball.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
So this probably isn't gonna happen. But let's say Rogers
doesn't because he goes to the Vikings for some reason,
and you know, uh Vikings, no Steelers are there's no
I'm just you know, I don't want over here, stir
the pot over here. But let's say it's not. If
the Steelers bring number three back.

Speaker 7 (20:29):
They are gonna no, no, no, I have I listen.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
I can't talk too much about this, but I know
with good faith, Russell Wilson is not in the plans
for the Steelers the courses that I have, Russell Wilson
is not even in consideration. It's like a they made
a low ball offer because you were the starter last year,
and like, but we really don't want you back, bro,
Like we'll keep Sierra, but like, we don't need you.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
I just want I just wanted to strike a nerve
for Joe. I knew he would be the first beak
up on that one. Fellas. Thanks for tuning in, Albert,
drop your questions in if you have any. Okay, So
we're gonna shift that and let's talk about losers, like
players that you think went to a situation and you're like,
this just killed their value. Who's that for you?

Speaker 5 (21:19):
This Joe.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
Man, I think the biggest one for me, h, I
would have to say maybe.

Speaker 7 (21:33):
Maybe DK.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
Honestly, like, it's gonna be a really interesting situation in Pittsburgh.
I don't think that he had a great situation, mostly
because of the offensive line in Seattle.

Speaker 7 (21:46):
I think Gina Smith was a steal as a third
round pick.

Speaker 6 (21:50):
Right, you know, if I was the Steelers GM, Gina
is one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the league.
He wanted forty five million, which sounds horrendous, but then
you look around the league at who wants forty five
million or who has forty five million, You're like, you
know what I'd probably take.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
You can't base that on the Giants blunders.

Speaker 6 (22:11):
No, I'm not even basing it off the Giants blunders,
but the way that the salary cap is increasing, you
can't look at it as just the raw number. You
need to look at it as the percentage of the cap.
So I think for me, it's like DK, he's twenty
seven years old. He secured the bag, which is great,
But from a fantasy perspective, Pittsburgh is going to do

(22:31):
whatever they can to make sure that they have this
ten and seven season locked in next year, right, And
so if Mason Rudolph is the starter, even if Aaron
Rodgers is the starter, whoever it is, they are going
to minimize the risk so that they can win football games,
which isn't how everybody does things, right. So I think
that for DK, if you're expecting, hey, he's got this

(22:54):
wide receiver, one money, he's the big guy in Pittsburgh,
what's going to happen? I think that he could potent
actually get overdrafted, and that's just gonna not.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Bode well for.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
What about you, Mike biggest loser.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
It's not a player that signed, but it's a player
that had a couple of things happen around him in Seattle.
Jackson Smith and Jigba. So they just signed thirty one
year old Cooper Cup who plays a very redundant role.
He's going from Gino Smith to Sam Donald. People are
expecting Sam Darnald to be the same player that he
was in Minnesota. Look, it's a way worse offensive line.
We've seen Sam Donald's numbers with a good protection, with

(23:30):
bad protection, it's always terrible. With bad protection. He just
can't make the same magic happen. So I think people
expecting Jason took the step forward in twenty twenty four,
I think he takes another step back in twenty twenty five,
which is unfortunate because I've drafted him.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
On a ton of bestball teams.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
Yeah, because I think Seattle was what third in sacks
a lot last year.

Speaker 7 (23:49):
They were in the fifties or sixties.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
So and that was with Gino playing out of his mind.
Like what's that, gon All think? With Sam or either
of the SAMs.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Yeah, for sure, all right, Johnny, it's for me.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
It's not a team or a player, man, it's a division.
It's the AFC South. Like it's gross, Like nothing.

Speaker 10 (24:12):
Happened like that, like that, like like like nothing happened
like the Jags are like self imploding, you know, uh,
you know, the Texans, I don't.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
I don't know what they're doing, Like they're trading away
their best line, and I think, you know, obviously they're
trying to line up to maybe pay some defensive players.
But I just think like that was a big the
entire division. I think, like I said, like it was
a mess for me, and nothing happened to change that.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
So yeah, like I'll take that one.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
For sure, Number one Diomie Brown hater.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
For me, it was you know, and kind of it
kind of leans into what Mike was saying. It's the
Sam Darnold signing, Like sim Darnold went, I mean you
look at his career. I mean it's like bad, bad, bad, bad,
bad bad, mediocre, mediocre bad bad mediocre, you know, and
then he goes to a really good system, right Like,
he goes to a really good system and the Vikings

(25:14):
are able to like you know, give him a name again,
which they've done with a ton of quarterbacks, right Like,
it's it's it's just they have a good they have
a decent line, they have excellent weapons, you know, like
everything is fit for a quarterback to succeed, right Like,
it was the first time Darnald probably wasn't running for
his life all freaking season. You know, you put them in,

(25:37):
you put them in Carolina or just like you put
Baker in Carolina and everybody's dying. And I feel like
this is another one of those situations where he's going
to Seattle, who, like you said, Mike doesn't have a
great O line. You know, they're they're not dividing out
their weapons. Well, I guess they're going to try to
move Jackson Smith and Jig But to the outside, which

(25:59):
is interesting because he's not a speed guy and he's
not a gigantic guy like a DK somebody that can
go over the top on somebody. It's gonna be really interesting.
But you know, like for Darnold, it definitely doesn't make
me excited for him or for Seattle. And I honestly,

(26:20):
you know, I wonder if it was just another like
Seattle's like, Oh, we're just gonna do something that makes
it seem like we're trying because really we want to
have a top pick going into next season, and we
want to draft our quarterback because it's a better quarterback
draft next year than it is this year. And I
think we had that in a lot of teams, and
you see that, you know, out out of the quarterbacks

(26:41):
this year, it's the first time, especially in Superflex, that
there's not a in a while that there's not an
automatic one oh one quarterback that you gotta grab, right,
Like I'm in a sixteen seaton team super Flex league, right,
there's only thirty two quarterbacks, so everybody gets you can
get to, but there's you know, and even then the

(27:02):
one to one, which is usually the worst player that
only has one quarterback on their entire roster, is not
going quarterback at number one, you know, nor the guy
at number two. So it's like, you know, they're they're
not excited about that. And so the Donald signing to
me was very mundane. It was I didn't know why
he got paid. There was a ton of other people
that I would have rather see there, you know, And

(27:24):
it makes me feel bad because I also have a
lot of Jais and shares. You know, He's just a
good he's a good player, he's a good route runner,
he's got good hands. He plays like I like Jason
a lot.

Speaker 6 (27:35):
It is interesting though, because like if you look at
the quarterback contract that Donald got in a nutshell. It's
basically the same contract that Baker Mayfield got when he went.

Speaker 7 (27:46):
To the Buccaneers.

Speaker 6 (27:47):
But it's like, if you wanted to pay Sam that
you already know what you have in Gino Smith, which
would have been around the Sames.

Speaker 7 (27:56):
Like do you think that you're elevating here?

Speaker 6 (27:59):
Like it's not like they rated Gino Smith and got
something back and it's like, oh, then we're signing this.
It's just like it was just strange to me, Like
I would have just rather paid Geno Smith like the
forty forty five and just called it a day.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, I think it was a shift in in the room, right,
Like they let DK go, they let Lockett go, you know,
like they they let the identity that was the Seattle
Receiving Court for so long go. Gino was kind of
in that mix, and so I think it was like
them kind of just like just saying, Okay, we're gonna
we're gonna do this. We're gonna start over, you know,

(28:35):
because I mean, even if you look at Bob Lung's
consistency got them, mayna give him a shout out. If
you haven't got your tickets for the expo yet, you should, uh,
but you know, like Tyler Lockett's one of those players.
I mean, he's hardly missed his time. He's pretty consistent,
and like they're just departing all these players, you know,
And I think that's really what it was, honestly, Not

(28:56):
that Geno wasn't bad. I just think they were ready
to shift. And when you get rid of a guy
top two targets, you know, outside of well, i'd say
top maybe not top two because Jackson definitely took some
game share there.

Speaker 7 (29:06):
We was number one last year.

Speaker 6 (29:08):
Yeah, but historically it was the DK and Tyler Lockett
Show for sure.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Yeah, so that's probably to me, that's probably a big
part of it. But yeah, well we'll keep it moving
as you guys know, just give me Milly Milly shout out.

we're gonna do that now before we kick in to
some more of the free agency and rookie talk.

So we are here.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
So starting off with a question here from coach retzlav
One in Dynasty, who do you prefer Puka Nakua? You know?
And he gives us some context. Puoka has Matthew Stafford
the addition to DeVante Adams one hundred and five receptions
of the rookie You know, we know the story of
Puka wide receiver and Fantasy points per game twenty three,

(30:43):
Wide receiver two Fantasy points per game twenty twenty four.
Or do we want Malik Neighbors?

Speaker 3 (30:50):
You know?

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Quarterback situation uncertain wide receiver six and twenty twenty four
as a rookie first in target, shared third interceptions. So
you gotta get the idea of the vacuum if you
had to choose, we can just go top to bottom,
starting with you, Johnny Malik or Nakua. Who do you want?

Speaker 3 (31:10):
Uh, I'm gonna roll with Pooka Man. I love Molikue Neighbors.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
I think he is absolutely insane, But I think it's
just one of those trust factors, like you know what
you're getting offensively with the Rams, Like there's you know
you mentioned you know, you mentioned the Minnesota Vikings a
little bit earlier on what they've been able to do
Kevin O'Connell, like with quarterbacks and things. And I think
the Rams are in a very similar situation, like they're
always gonna put a really solid product out there on

(31:35):
the field. So yeah, so give me Pooka Nakula in
this situation just from a stability side of things. Yeah,
that's my play man, all.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Right, Joe Man.

Speaker 6 (31:47):
Now we're just gonna have to break it down the
mic for the finale because I gotta go with my
guy in the League Neighbors. My League Neighbors was something
that I was heavily invested on going into the rookie season.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
For him.

Speaker 7 (31:57):
I took him in the fifth round of scott Fish Bowl.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
And be like, what are you doing. I was like,
just wait, just wait, it's gonna be awesome. I don't
need to take Marvin Harrison Junior because I got Malik
coming to me, and I think that, yes, Puka so
far has been great. The reason why I'm picking the
League Neighbors is really just the injuries that Puka's accumulated

(32:21):
so far that scares me a lot if I'm thinking,
especially in Dynasty, where I'm like, who is going to
be that long term play? Even if you look at
like last year, if you look at his time at LSU,
it was like Malik, it's like a hey, he might
not practice all week, but he'll be out there.

Speaker 7 (32:37):
Puko, we've had some longer term injuries. You're really splitting hairs.
Puka's great, Malik is great.

Speaker 6 (32:44):
I love the number change to number twelve, But give
me the guy that's been less injury prone. And so
I'm gonna go with my leak Neighbors. But it's like,
if you're choosing between the two, it's a great problem.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Half absolutely.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
All right, Mike, he's a tiebreaker.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
I guess I'll close this out. It's Milik Neighbors with
a bullet. So Pokinakua two years older, has a PCL
spray and an AC spray and a five pole, a
petal ankle pull, a petal foot fracture. This is just
since he's been in college, we don't know what he's
a stand since then.

Speaker 5 (33:19):
I love both of them.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
I think you're gonna you may feel silly picking meleik
neighbors now, but you're not gonna feel silly picking thelak
neighbors two, three, four or five. Keep going down the
road because that concern where you don't know who the
quarterback's gonna be, that's gonna start popping up with Pookinakua
And is he actually that good or is he just
a Matt Stafford merchant?

Speaker 1 (33:41):
You know, Stafford does have those merchants. He Look, if
you've watched Matt Stafford play, one thing you know about
Stafford is he will hyper target whoever he likes at
the time, whoever he's gelling with, whoever he's feeling. He's
gonna hyper target, which is great because then you know, okay,

(34:02):
production is going to be there, right like it's going
to be there, and so it it's that's a really
good take, you know. And and I'll say this in
Dynasty the key is in Dynasty. Like in Dynasty, not
that I don't like Pooka, but I think I don't
think it's long before Maleak has a quarterback, right, Like

(34:27):
he will have a quarterback, like the Giants flop again, right,
they're going to get a high end quarterback in the
next draft, or they may even get somebody this year
who knows like it. It's it's not out of the realm.
I think there are there is a potential for them
to grab one this year, although there's there's only two

(34:50):
that I'm actually really like interested in for me personally,
but you know, I'll leave those names out just for
another show.

Speaker 7 (34:59):
You got people in league that are watching this, don't you.

Speaker 5 (35:06):
League, and it's like, don't don't say.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
The name now, Okay, So we're gonna hop over to
this next question real quick. Which is the next one?
It's the trade here and uh dad bought thirty five
coming in and the trade is Mike Evans and George
Kittle for Sam Laporta and the twenty five round three

(35:29):
pick two. What's what's the thoughts?

Speaker 6 (35:37):
I think the hardest thing about trades like this is
not being able to see like the construction of the
team in a nutshell.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Obviously it's probably a win now move. It looks like
if I'm getting Evans and Kittle, like I need to
win in the next two years, or I'm out right.

Speaker 6 (35:53):
Like I hear you, but I hate doing win now
moves in the off season because everybody feel feel good
about their team right now, and then you get into
the thick of it and it's like, all right, like
maybe everybody gets hurt on my team. I had a
team last year that I was fifth in the league
in points and I was the bottom of the league,

(36:16):
and it was just because I lost McCaffrey, I lost
these other pieces, and like, if you went into the
season it was like, hey, do you want to make
these trades? I was like, yeah, why not? Like this
is gonna make my team awesome. I feel like, if
you're going to do something like this, don't do it now.
Do it when you've already got a playoff spot more
or less clinched, and it's like, hey, I need that

(36:36):
actual push to get me over the edge. Like who
knows what's gonna happen with Evan next year, Like, yeah,
he's had a thousand yard season every year that he's been.

Speaker 7 (36:44):
Alive, but like what.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Benefits was.

Speaker 6 (36:51):
Like, why would you take the risk of holding the
bag for two older players when you should, in theory
be able to make this trade later. So for me,
I would not take this deal if I'm on the
other side. Yeah, get rid of all your old players
for the new hot guys every time.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
So what do you think, Johnny?

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Yeah, man, I'm I'm I'm gonna rob with Frick on
this one.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Man, Like I think, obviously you have Laporter, Obviously he
was a little bit younger. We just we just got
done talking about, you know, all the value that would
and should be there in round three of these drafts.
You got two guys that are you know, older. You
guys are just you know, kind of talking about like
the injury piece, and there's two guys that you know
injuries have popped up for him and I think Kittle

(37:34):
it is obviously, I don't want to say you never
know what you're getting, but you know, he could be
tight en one or it could be you know, injury ridden.
Mike Evans is what he is. So yeah, I'm definitely
I'm probably gonna stay on the youth side of this one.
And if I'm getting the youth. Yes, If not, then
know I'm I'm not messing with it.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
What do you think, Mike.

Speaker 5 (37:55):
Well dissenting opinion.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Here we're all talking about the seven hundred yard tight
end here, right, Samuelporta, who lost his job to Jamison Williams.
It look, if you believe in the value installation that
Laporta has and you're looking at a rebuild, I get that.
But Sam Laporta is not a difference making tight end.
George Kittle still is as long as he's healthy. Mike

(38:17):
Evans is still a difference making wide receiver as long
as he's healthy. If you're a win now team, I
understand waiting a little bit to make sure that you're good.
But if you wait a little bit, Sam Laporta has
a couple of crap weeks. How much longer he's going
to be the tight end three in dynasty?

Speaker 5 (38:32):
Probably not that long.

Speaker 6 (38:34):
It is crazy though, that you say that, and people
like Tyler Warren who haven't been drafted or top five
dynasty tight ends right now and wait until they have two.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
Yeah, it's it's like insane to me.

Speaker 6 (38:48):
Like going into twenty twenty four, it was like tight
end is back, baby, Remember that time that we were
talking about like eliminating the tight end position for fantasy football,
Like everybody's gonna have a good tight end and then
they all sucked.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
It's just Rock Bowers and everyone.

Speaker 7 (39:04):
Yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
You know, I I very felt much felt the same
about like the win Now situation, Like, obviously Brock Purdy
is gonna freaking bullet, you know, George Kittle, especially with
Deebo moving on, Like obviously he found Ricky Piersoll late
in the season, but with with Deebo moving on, I
mean Kittle, I mean Kittle eats in that offense, and

(39:29):
and there's comfortability there. Uh, you know, Mike Evans, like
if you want a thousand years receiver, it's pretty much guaranteed.
Obviously they have a new they'll have a new OC
this season. It's a different you know, it'll be a
little bit of different offense, but you still have that
connection between Baker and Evans that is that has been fine. Right.
The thing that challenges me on this though, is when

(39:52):
I looked at the little corner of the thing and
it says eight team dynast the super Flex, and I'm like,
how how like how desperate can the rosters be in
an eight team league, that like a Kittle or an

(40:13):
Evans really makes all the difference.

Speaker 6 (40:17):
Yeah, that changes everything because in an eighteen league, like
you're really looking for I'm trying to.

Speaker 7 (40:23):
Think of it. Everybody has a word that I want
to say.

Speaker 6 (40:26):
You are looking for studs in this sort of situation
where it's like having the tight end five, like you
have a bottom five tight or you have a bottom
half tight end. Now, so it's like, how do you
stack up your lineup? Like to me, like you're just
you're just trading because you're bored at this point.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
Yeah, Like there's so many possibilities. You have eight teams,
like you look at like the top twenty. I mean
like everybody's gonna have somebody, you know, Like it's just
and so you know, for me, when I'm looking at
it that way and I'm thinking dynasty, it's really hard
to like. Not like Laportas started off early. Typically in
fantasy we see it tight ends take three four years

(41:09):
before they really start popping and developing, right, and then
you start really seeing what they're capable of. It's rare
that you get the brock Bowers that is like, you know,
killer year one or Laporta on his rookie season, like
that's not the norm, right, and so if he's already
that good, I'm thinking, Okay, well, I'm gonna have eight

(41:30):
more years of this guy or two or two more
years of Kittle or whatever it is. It shifts me
a little bit because there has, like with the plethora
of or the I guess the plethora of talent and
the minimal amount of teams, there's got to be people
there that I can plug and play and not have
to give my young guns. But if I am a

(41:52):
team and I need it, I don't hate the trade.
It's definitely and honestly, it's not even Evans that wins
it for me, like in a win situation is George
Kittle because George Kittle gets hyper targeted by Party when
he's on the field. Yeah, so it's it's definitely an
interesting trade. It is one of the better ones that
got posted on the network, you know, So hopefully that

(42:16):
helps you dad by it. I'll link in the show
later with the time stamper when we hit your question. Uh, well,
so we've got a few free agents left on the docket,
and I'm gonna start with one of my somebody that

(42:37):
I've liked since they entered the league. And you guys
are probably gonna laugh, probably probably so because it has
not been a good run. But I have been a
big fan and have rostered for a long time JK. Dobbins,
And part of it has been because, you know, like

(42:57):
with Dobbins, it's like when he gets hurt, it's like
the price is too cheap to send him on, right,
Like you can't get enough for him for what you're
gonna get if he's on the field. You look at
year one, he averaged over six yards per carry, came
back from injury, averaged over five yards per carry. Then
he leads like another injury, another freaking blown out knee.

(43:20):
He comes back from multiple injuries right like typically a
running back is done. He goes to a completely new offense,
you know, with the Chargers, and then goes and averages
over four and a half yards per carry. Again. He
finishes as running back twenty four, missing five games, so

(43:44):
he played five games less than everybody else and even
finishes running back twenty four in fantasy. And I'm like,
he's this like the ultimate conundrum, right like, so you know,
you wonder where he goes. I mean, it was the
same thing last year. Last year, going to the year
when he goes to Chargers, you couldn't get anything for him.
You're trying to sell JK and everybody's like, Oh, I

(44:07):
might give you a fourth or no, I'm not interested.
And then he goes to average like eighteen points a
game before he gets hurt, you know, and even when
he comes back from the injury, he still kills it.
And it's like, we know what he is and it
seems like no matter what injuries come, he's gonna be
able to come back and do it again. And so
like he's been an intriguing player for me in fantasy.

(44:31):
But as far as free agency goes, where do you
think he could go and what kind of role or
effectiveness for players that are thinking about draft. And I
know there's a guy watching right now. We've already talked.
I've already talked to you. He's been grabbing a lot
of shares of JK because he's rather cheap. So what
do you think he has to look forward to, if
anything at all.

Speaker 7 (44:52):
Well, I think here's the thing that you have to
think about.

Speaker 6 (44:54):
So if we think about like the Big four running backs,
in this free agent class. So you had Aaron Jones
signed for ten million dollars rather quickly, Nause Harris with
incentives signed for over nine million dollars rather quickly. Ric
o'dowdell signs a smaller contract after a thousand yard season,

(45:15):
and then it is the second fiddle to Chewba Hubbard,
who has a thirty six million dollar extension that kicks
in this year.

Speaker 7 (45:22):
So do you think that JK.

Speaker 6 (45:24):
Dobbins is the nine million dollar man or do you
think that he plays second fiddle similar to Rico Dowdell.

Speaker 5 (45:32):
JK. De Harris is way better than Rico Daddle.

Speaker 6 (45:35):
Sure, I don't disagree with that, right, But where do
you think that he lands as far as teams, especially
knowing that there's a lot of strength in this running
back class, right, so I think that there is some
inherent risk? Are there some good fits for him?

Speaker 7 (45:51):
Sure?

Speaker 6 (45:51):
You look at teams like the Raiders who don't really
have a set running back outside of like Sincere McCormick,
and like the Hall of mid that they are housing
for the Raiders, right, So there are places like that
that he could slide in and be a starting running back.

Speaker 7 (46:06):
Do I think that he's gonna get more than a
one year deal. Probably not no.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
But I mean if you're in fantasy and you're like,
where are you hoping that he lands, or where do
you think he possibly lands where he has relevance or
are you completely out?

Speaker 6 (46:20):
I think for me, it's like if he doesn't end
up on say the Raiders, that's really the one team
that I can think of off the top of my head,
then I'm like, yes, like, good done. You'll at least
start the year as that guy and we'll see what happens.
But other than that, I mean he's going to be
second fiddle to somebody else. I mean there's even remblings

(46:42):
of him going to say like Pittsburgh, to be like
the offset for Jalen Warren. And it's like, all right,
I think Jalen Warren still gets the first crack, but
you could be in a good situation losing that chargers
room where.

Speaker 7 (46:56):
He was the guy that was the ideal scene.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
It's he earned the guy though, Like he didn't start
out as the guy. He came in and he quieted
lovers and you know that everybody preaching yeah it anyways,
you go ahead, like he.

Speaker 4 (47:16):
Beat ninety year old Gus Edwards and the sigh out
from Biggs fantasy Kamani Vidal.

Speaker 5 (47:22):
I like the Raiders call out.

Speaker 4 (47:24):
I think that's the only place left where you can
say if he goes there and they don't draft Anyboddy
now he has the lead role. A couple of other
places that could be fun, complimentary places. We're talking about
the Cleveland Browns, talking about the Saints to be kind of.

Speaker 5 (47:38):
Like the breather for Kamara if they don't believe in
Kendre Miller, like.

Speaker 7 (47:42):
Ingram role pretty much.

Speaker 4 (47:43):
Yeah, more Cincinnati Bengals, because Chase Brown needs a seeing
eye dog to find the hole. Let Chase Brown be
your explosive guy. Let Dobbins keep your offense on schedule.
It would stink for fantasy. But those are a couple
of places that I think he could have relevance.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
I have, I have all of I have all of
the same teams. H yeah, all the same teams.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
I think again, like another team just to throw out
there as well as the Giants. I think that could be.
That could be another place, just to add a little
bit of spice to this.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
About the Pats, you know, we.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
Were getting the agenda for running backs, like obviously and
being up here, like I thought about that because there's
not really anything there for Mare and I think obviously
it's definitely it's a it's a change now for them offensively,
and you know they still lack weapons as far as
like receivers.

Speaker 3 (48:39):
Might not be a bad situation for me.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
You know, they're trying to looks like they're trying to
build that that thing the right way there man on
the defensive side of the ball, and I would imagine
like if vrabel is probably gonna be going inside out
and taking young players on the offensive side, so that
that I like that place for him as well.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
So you know, as we start, as we start moving
through the rest of the you know free agents, you
know Nick Chubb, and we're all staying him very long. Uh,
we kind of talked about him earlier. I think that
really the best place for him to land is right
back where he where he was. He needs he started,
he started with the Browns. He needs to in with
the Browns, and that needs to be.

Speaker 4 (49:17):
With you. Uh.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
But you know, we already know where Cooper Cup landed today,
which was an absolute crazy I can't believe they paid
him that much money. Uh, Amari Cooper. Amari Cooper probably
had the worst like end of his Like I mean
just going and he goes to a high powered offense
and the bills. Everybody's excited, you know, like Josh Allen

(49:47):
is making the the meek relevant. You know, like if
he lands there, the hot the hopes were high. Obviously
we all got completely just bummed out with how that ended.
Is Amari Cooper done or is there an offense that
he can actually bring back? Go ahead and hit us, Mike,

(50:09):
I see you're ready.

Speaker 4 (50:11):
Yeah, listen, he might be done. But let's say he
signs with the Denver Broncos. They don't have someone aside
Courtland Sutton. Let's say he signs with the Chargers to
go be the outside guy there. I know they brought
Mike Williams in. They know what Mike Williams is. You
shouldn't scare them off of a Mariy Cooper. Can the
New England Patriots, for the love of God, sign a

(50:31):
receiver just.

Speaker 7 (50:32):
Literally anyone, just who they are, anyone on the show, Like.

Speaker 4 (50:37):
I just need someone with hands that will run routes
most of the time. And I think that's what a
MARII Cooper could bring to the Patriots. So there are
a couple of places. If he goes to the right spot.
He could be a fun ad for Dynasty. He could
be a fun late round at Dart.

Speaker 5 (50:50):
But his days of you're drafting him top twenty, you're
getting top twenty production are probably behind us.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (50:59):
Another it's fun that I think that, you know, there's
a little bit of history is maybe maybe New Orleans,
you know, in a cheaper tack. You know, that's a
place that could use some playmakers, and obviously you know
the history there with Derek Carr. I think Jacksonville Jacksonville
could be on the radar, But the overall question was
is he watched I'm leaning more towards that he had

(51:19):
and knowing that.

Speaker 6 (51:21):
It is funny that you say that I saw something.
I don't know how like credible it was, but they
were saying that like he's retiring.

Speaker 3 (51:29):
Jesus, that happened quick.

Speaker 1 (51:31):
I mean after last season. I don't put it out
the window like sometimes you like when these guys have
been playing at such a high level for so long,
I mean high school, college, they get to the NFL,
and then they have a season like they did last
year when they're behind an elite quarterback, it's kind of
like it kills you a little bit. Like even like
you go, like Zeke goes to the Patriots, you know,

(51:53):
and he all of a sudden is like he's he
kills it. He does what we know that he does
when he gets seventy plus targets a year, you know,
and he performs in New England, and he goes back
to the place that brought him in, right, the Cowboys,
and they don't feature them, they don't try to use them.
And like, so if I'm Zeke, I'm like, I'm so
dead on the inside, you know, it's hard for me

(52:14):
to get back into the game. And like that's where
I feel like i'mar He's at. It's like he's at
that place where it's it's he's been at. He went
to the Browns and it was just an absolute bluh.
And then he goes to to what seems to be hopeful.
He goes to the Bills to play with Josh Allen
and it's just blug again. And so like at this point,

(52:35):
if I'm him, I'm in that state where I'm kind
of like, is this even for me anymore? You know
like and it's there's there's a reality that we see it. Like,
I mean, if Cooper Cup plays in Seattle this year
and doesn't have a good season, if he is if
he is an afterthought when it comes to throwing the football,

(52:56):
he'll be in that same boat. He'll be like, why
did I even do this to get forty.

Speaker 7 (53:02):
Reasons?

Speaker 6 (53:03):
Cooper Cup separation is like that Drewsky construction video.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
Separate fifteen million sitting on the bench with an injury tag.

Speaker 7 (53:16):
Let's be dreams, sign me up. I'll do it for
five I'll do it for.

Speaker 9 (53:24):
A right game.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
So let's let's let's go to our one of our
last like big free agents is still out there, obviously
huge personality, thinks he is still the center of the universe.
Stefan Diggs okay, absolutely not, absolutely un.

Speaker 11 (53:46):
Choking such a and and the Steelers fans in this
room are probably even like worst reactions than a.

Speaker 1 (53:57):
Brother anytime Mike says, brother, it's there.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
Oh brother, No.

Speaker 4 (54:08):
But in reality, you want to know where he could
go and be the center of attention.

Speaker 5 (54:13):
The Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
I think you're gonna say the Patriots.

Speaker 5 (54:17):
No, they could go to the Patriots the Panthers.

Speaker 4 (54:21):
Listen, he has a couple of seasons where he's had
over a fifty percent slot rate. They need a receiver
again with hands, like just someone that can actually catch
the ball. Maybe the Bryce Young ascension wheels them in.
Maybe he just wants to go get a bunch of
money in a state with a low income tax. There's
a couple of ways where he wants to go to Carolina,
And I don't knock him for any of those. I

(54:42):
don't think he's going somewhere to be a difference maker.
He's either taking a small deal to ring Chase or he's.

Speaker 5 (54:48):
Taking a big deal to be a diva.

Speaker 4 (54:50):
And I think the big deal to be a diva
is Carolina.

Speaker 1 (54:53):
Look, ye, any guy that pulls out the income tax
unprepared for a player like you're on it, bro, Like
I got you my god, No, that's a that's a
great take. What about you, Johnny? Where do you think

(55:13):
Diggs plays? And and even if he goes to wherever
you're thinking in your head, are we getting relevance?

Speaker 2 (55:24):
I think you're gonna get you would get something from him.
My place for him would obviously be Dallas. And I
know that's like a pretty commercial take. But I think
like there's just a lot that just says that obviously
his brother being there an opportunity to play in an
offense that you know, maybe they still continue to throw
the ball, they still don't really have, they have a
lot more questions and answers. They're running back, you know,

(55:45):
defenses don't know where they're really at, losing some older pieces.
So I mean that's the play for me. Is I
like that when I think the Carolina one was definitely
a good call, they have those guys written down as well.
And then like, I don't know, I just feel like
I feel like Jacksonville has to do something and like
not to go backwards. But like the Cooper Cup deal,

(56:06):
it seems like these players that like they get burned
in aur a little bit later, a little bit later
on or longer into tooth, it's like they always go
back inside the vision just to show that like they
still got something like no matter how bad it is.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
Man. So just a couple of takes for me, man,
you know, just yeah.

Speaker 6 (56:22):
It is surprising on the Jacksonville front that you mentioned
that that they got rid of Christian Kirk, they got
rid of Evan Ingram, Like, are they just locked in
on a mediocre receiving class, Like what are they planning
on doing with Trevor.

Speaker 7 (56:34):
Lawrence now that he is in beyond the rookie contract.

Speaker 6 (56:39):
Yeah, And it's just it's shocking to me that they
bring in somebody who did so many good things.

Speaker 7 (56:45):
For Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 6 (56:47):
That's like, all right, Like let's look at our offensive
weapons in Jacksonville and it's like we've got Brian Thomas Jr.
Fantastic And it's like Gabe Davis.

Speaker 5 (56:57):
Yeah, Diaomi Brown, let's go boys.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
We're bad. We're We're bad.

Speaker 5 (57:03):
No no state income tax in Florida.

Speaker 1 (57:05):
Just so you know, Oh god, I really I tell
you this. I like the Dallas call. I think that
he could he could. I think he could do well there.
And Brandon Cooks was relevant there, Like Dallas has a
knack to take, like you know, outside of Ceedee Lamb,
like take less than and make them something right. We

(57:28):
saw like we've seen it with so many players that
end up getting contracts afterwards. You know, Noah Brown like
these guys and like it. I like that take. I
don't mind Carolina, that's also a good take. I think
Diggs is probably gonna search for a place of relevance
where he thinks he can have an impact. I like
both of those. Uh, you know, it's he's such a

(57:53):
freaking conundrum. You know. It's like because he can't he
can produce, but he's also coming off, you know, an injury,
which he hasn't had one in a while, so it's
it is a big question mark, you know. So it'll
be interesting to see where Diggs goes. I personally am
hoping that we get a story like Dallas. Like if

(58:14):
Diggs goes to Dallas, I am selling him in every
single Dynasty League that I may still have him in.
I am selling him and trying to get minimal value,
Like whatever I can get is where I'm at, Like,
because I think he is on the outs. You know,
Jacksonville is interesting. I still think Jacksonville lacks in the slot.

(58:37):
Like they're putting a lot of hope in Brian Thomas Junior.
And if you if you have a shot, if you
own Brian Thomas Junior, great, Uh, but I get a
little worried, Like Brian Thomas Junior's best performance I feel
like was behind Mac Jones. And it's because you know,
Lawrence when he gets the deep bar, when he gets excited,
he has this tendency to overthrow.

Speaker 7 (58:59):
You know.

Speaker 1 (58:59):
It's like it's like, you know when you get too
excited and you shoot a basketball and then you hit
the backboard every time, you know, it's like that's him.

Speaker 7 (59:06):
He's over it get excited.

Speaker 1 (59:11):
Well, you know, I'm not no comming. You gotta call
it like backboard, you know, but it's I don't know.
I'm a little worried about the Brian Thomas junior height
because of that, But they definitely need somebody in the slot.
Losing Ingram, who essentially was their slot guy, Like Ingram

(59:36):
took the role of the slot wide receiver. I'm really
interested to see how that works out in Jacksonville. So
that was also a good call.

Speaker 5 (59:43):
Man.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
This this show has been absolute fire. You guys have
been bringing the heat, and uh, I wanted to just
kind of end the show right here with a couple
like if anybody in the chat wants to drop a
couple of trade questions. I know that I got texted
one from somebody that was that was curious and they
did a trade in the league and they traded away

(01:00:06):
Ladd mcconkee. Oh wow, And they acquired They acquired Jerry
Judy and JK. Dobbins. And at first, here's the thing.
At first, I was very much so the same reaction. However,

(01:00:30):
if you roll the tape, and hear me out here,
if you roll the tape, Jerry Judy finished higher than
Ladd McConkie last year in Fantasy points. And it was
Jerry Judy's first year not in a Denver Broncos offense.

(01:00:51):
So the first year out of his initial offense, he
finishes wide receiver twelve in fantasy he has thirteen hundred
yard yards receiving, you know, and so and he's still
what is he like twenty five now twenty he's still young?

Speaker 5 (01:01:11):
Yeah, twenty six in a couple of days.

Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
So he's not old, right, So it's like, are it's
like one of those late blooming wide receivers, Like are
we starting to see what we expected from Judy? And
that's really the crux I think of the conversation. Ladd
finished wide receiver thirteen in his rookie season, so I
think that Lad rises above Judy slightly. The question is JK.

(01:01:39):
Dobbins still yet to average less than four yards per
carry in his career. You know, is he enough to
tilt the wheel? No?

Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
Absolutely not all right, so diving in the numbers a
little bit more. Judy did finish ahead of Ladd in
twenty twenty four, but Ladd finished ahead in points per game.
He did miss a game as the Chargers were going
through some stuff. Judy's big games came with ballot out
Jamis Winston on a Cleveland Browns team that's stuck. Is

(01:02:15):
Jerry Judy going to play with ballet Jameis Winston or
is he going to play with Deshaun Watson, Kenny Pickett
rookie quarterback. There's a lot of ways that Judy loses
value versus as the leader of dats for lad Ladd
McConkey can continue to gain value and.

Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
JK.

Speaker 4 (01:02:33):
Dobbins could turn into nothing or he could turn into
a medium RB two for another year. I think this
was shortsighted, but they should listen to the show more
so they can get better insight.

Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
My god, love it. No, you know, it was interesting
and I think it really wry. It's like you said,
like I think I think it rides a little bit
on where Dobbins gets signed, Like if Dobbins gets signed

(01:03:08):
to somewhere where he's a starter. I think in the
immediate you probably did okay, Like it's an okay trade.
I think we're I think the jury to me, the
jury is still out on Judy, like I'm not. I
don't think we really know. And it's because we had
so many years of Judy in a Denver offense that
didn't love him, you know, like that his views are

(01:03:34):
so tainted. And here's the reality. You can probably go
out and get Judy for kind of cheap, like if
you wanted to. Like most people aren't thinking of him
as wide receiver twelve.

Speaker 7 (01:03:45):
They probably think of it as like a fluke, right right.

Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
That that's that's the viewpoint. Like, and so if if
they're viewing it that way, and let's say you can
get Judy four three to one, oh.

Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
Yeah, you know, smash smash, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
So, so what's the if you could get Judy, what's
the earliest pick you're willing to trade trade for him?

Speaker 4 (01:04:16):
I would be willing to send two four. Let me
pull up our consensus big board of football guys.

Speaker 3 (01:04:24):
Check it out.

Speaker 5 (01:04:24):
One hundred percent free. Uh, I love it.

Speaker 4 (01:04:28):
I think two four is a little deep, but there's
somewhere somewhere in that four to seven range. I'd feel
okay about it. I'm just addicted to rookies.

Speaker 6 (01:04:42):
I also hate Dynasty, so like, don't listen to my advice.
I hate Dynasty mostly because it's like I want to
draft on trends and it's just like, all right, my
team is pretty much is what it is. I don't
feel like talking to people, so my team is probably
it's going to be whatever it already was. So the
two of four, but you're probably right was a little steep,
but I would I would consider it. I'm a big,

(01:05:04):
big booty Judy supporter.

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
So the crazy thing is if he finishes top ten,
let's say he finish his top fifteen again, even like
let's say we don't know who's gonna throw the ball.
I secretly hope that the Browns take cam Ward. I
think that that's like it's their best shot. Like if

(01:05:31):
they're gonna spend the two value, you know, we'll see
I don't. I think that out of Ward and Shadeur,
like Ward has the better arm and the better play
making ability when there's nothing there. Kind of like that
Mahomes like let me throw it side arm in a

(01:05:51):
crooked body position to try to make a play happen.
Like cam Ward kind of has that about his game,
and so that would give me hope. If Aaron Rodgers
signed with them, I wouldn't have that much hope.

Speaker 7 (01:06:05):
I don't know sign Noland, no.

Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
No, I know everybody's like Cleveland, let me get out
of there. Uh okay, cool? So anybody else if you
if you want to, you can drop a trade question
in the chat. I got one more that came over
on Instagram. Uh, and that was let me just pull

(01:06:31):
it up here. It was Tucker Craft and um, sorry,
pull it up here. Uh, Tucker Craft and a fourth
round pick for a second round. So it was picked

(01:06:52):
two eleven, twenty five. So it's a sixteen team super
flex tight end premium and it was Tucker Craft and
the last pick in the draft picked four sixteen for
a round.

Speaker 5 (01:07:07):
Two pick eleven, So the twenty seventh pick.

Speaker 4 (01:07:12):
Yes, what what tight end are you getting there that's
better than Tucker Craft?

Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
I don't know. Well, I mean, traditionally, I'll hear I'll
say this in Dynasty, traditionally tight ends fall. You look
at Laporta, Laporter went in most drafts third round, right,
he went after everybody else he went in the third round.
Tight Ends are like THEO Johnson, right, like THEO Johnson

(01:07:39):
went in like the fourth round, or went undrafted. Tight
Ends are always the the conundrum of like you can
get for cheaper than you expected to get. So that
would be the question mark to this trade. But I
mean you can finish at the at that pick, who

(01:08:03):
would you get? Sure? Keep on?

Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
Yeah, I mean in a tight end premium league, we're
talking about the twenty seventh pick, Like, maybe you roll
the dice on Terrence Ferguson, Maybe you roll the dice
Harold Fannon falls Like it's the bird in the hand
versus then the bush, Like, just just take the one
in your hand. Brother, Tucker Craft is a top ten
Dynasty tight end right now. Enjoy the touchdowns, enjoy the upside.

(01:08:28):
Maybe he continues to ascend like he already has. H
I think it's Craft easily, but I'm ready to be wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
I actually I like the trade. I like Tucker Craft
versus the two eleven in a sixteenth. I picked twenty
seven a year. You're shooting for a maybe like once
you get that deep, you're shooting for a maybe tight end,
wide receiver, whatever you running back, whatever you pick, it's
a maybe right in Dynasty. In this there's so many
people that get hyped up around the draft, and I

(01:08:57):
always tell people, don't trade your picks till like draft week,
you know, if not draft night, because the Joe you're muted,
the you know, the they care. They gained so much value.
I know he's so confused, but you know, and so

(01:09:17):
you know, if I can get a top ten Dynasty
tight end for essentially pick twenty seven in the draft,
I'm in.

Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
Yep, I'm running.

Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
Joe. Can you hear me?

Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
We can't hear him, but he's saying that it's a
really good idea and he really supports the trade, and
that Mason Rudolph is going to do really well this year.

Speaker 7 (01:09:43):
He's still muted.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
We're getting no sound. You may need to exit and
come back in, which is okay. But that's amazing. Look,
I will say this, I appreciate you guys for coming
into the and being on the show. If you would

(01:10:05):

I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
