M m.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
M m.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Hmm.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
What's up? What's up everybody? It's Friday Night from the Forum,
and we got a crew in the house, and I
mean a crew, six people in the in the show tonight.
We are live here in the studio uh and live
on UH talking West Tennessee.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
So welcome if you're new to the show.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Uh Man. Joe, Joe looking awful dapper this evening.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
I think he froze as like I said, he looked dapper.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Anyways, uh Man. The draft definitely through some wrenches in
everybody's game. I've heard everything from I've been telling you
for months to sell nause to you know, Anthony Richardson
still has a shot.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
I don't know what.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
A Derby Eve shoutouts all my horse matters out there.
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
So Aaron, what what's your thoughts? I mean, obviously, uh,
there was some some huge, huge draft picks that happened.
Uh some players that I know that we had a
lot of stock. I mean, I've seen a lot of
hate on Kyron Williams possibly for this year. What's like,
probably the thing from the draft that just sticks out

(01:51):
in your head.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
The most, honestly, the fact that it looks like Chase
Brown survived. He was not one of the people I
had come through this. He I didn't have Nause on
my list of Cell before the draft, but Chase Brown
was the top on the Cell high list, and he
somehow came through it. And I don't know how that's possible.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yeah, you know, I I actually so there was a
trade that went down in our league where Chase Brown
and Jerry Judy went for Brian Thomas Junior. And the
guy that traded for Chase Brown was like, I really
like Chase Brown. Chase Brown's gonna be the dude. He's
you know, they're not gonna draft anybody. And he was
like firm on it, right, And everybody in the chat

(02:33):
is like, you're an idiot. You just traded BTJ for
Chase Brown and Jerry like you know, and and so
it was like as soon as the Bengals didn't take
anybody of significance, then you know, like the he comes
in the chat and he just like I told all
you guys, get off my back. I know what I'm doing,

(02:54):
you know, But I agree Chase Brown.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Huge huge surprise.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
On that one.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Brian, what about you? What was the big like if
there was a moment where you felt yourself surprised, what
was it?

Speaker 6 (03:07):
I mean, it's it's it's kind of chalk here. But
not only did shad Or fall to the fifth, but
he was the second quarterback taken by the Browns. Like,
I mean, I don't If they want to take him
the fifth, that's fine, but taking Gabriel above him?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Come on, come on, you know there was there's been
so much talk on that, and obviously you know everybody's
got an opinion. Chase, what's your thoughts on on the
Shadar thing? Why do you think he fell so far
not to put you in in the way of, you know,
a trap question or anything like that.

Speaker 7 (03:37):
Well, no, we we heard all all.

Speaker 8 (03:40):
You know.

Speaker 7 (03:40):
The week leading up to the draft, it started coming
out that his his interviews had been bad with teams
had been rough. There was one team, supposedly where he
was interviewing with the head coach across the table from
him at the time he got a FaceTime call, not
only took the call, but stayed on the call, making
the head coach wait for him. Uh, those kinds of things.

(04:02):
But then when you look at his you look at
his skill set, you look at his overall profile. He
was very accurate in college. He was good at what
they did in Colorado, but they weren't necessarily asking him
to make pro type reads. He's not anything special as
an athlete. He's definitely not his father as an athlete.
He just he didn't profile as a guy that should
have seen himself and that no one obviously no one

(04:24):
else saw in the league as a top five or
even a first round or first day or two player.
But you know, I just I think it was the
combination of all of that and the way that he
his his entourage, his handlers, just everything handled the way
they handled themselves leading up to the draft. And then,

(04:44):
you know, to address the idea that Cleveland took him finally,
but took him second after Gabriel. They apparently had become
really enamored with Dylan Gabriel. I'm not sure how or why,
but they really liked what they saw from him in
their meetings leading up to the draft and everything that
they talked.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
About with him.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
And that might be all well and good, but I mean,
you talked about a guy that's been in college since
I was, and I don't necessarily know that he you know,
he's the answer at quarterback either. So now you've got
an entire stables worth of options at quarterback, but none
of them is necessarily going to fix your quarterback problem.

Speaker 8 (05:20):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
The Schadur thing was a ride. It was a roller
coaster at the draft when when Harmon went the media room,
there was an audible gasp and buzz that that rippled
through the entire media room at the draft that day
when when Harmon went to Pittsburgh instead of Shador, and
then I think we kind of all looked at each
other and thought, oh, this it might be on And

(05:41):
sure enough it was. Two days later we finally got
a pick for him.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Did you see Shadeur's live draft stream?

Speaker 8 (05:47):
Though?

Speaker 5 (05:48):
That didn't help his cause he's got Dion standing next
to him. Oh man, this team, they have a crappy quarterback.
He's been in like Joe Flacco, he's been playing since
I was in the NFL. He's trash talk in every quarter.
But as they're on the clock, and then the other
thing I was hearing is that gms and coaches are hesitant,
not necessarily because of him, but because if they they

(06:09):
draft him and they fail in year one, they're worried
that the same thing's gonna happen everywhere.

Speaker 8 (06:14):
That happens everywhere else.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
They're gonna want the coach fired and replaced with Dion
to get you know, get the situation.

Speaker 8 (06:20):
So they're worried, you know, if I bring.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
This guy in, am I am I gonna you know,
lead to my own my own firing in a year
from now when shit or bombs.

Speaker 8 (06:28):
So I don't think that helped either.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Well, you know, the Steelers did not care, you know,
whenever it was like the draft day thing, and they're like,
you can get your guy, and you can get him late,
you know, you can save all your cap money, you know,
and uh and Pittsburgh's like, ah, we're good. We don't
really care.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
The Steelers are doing though. They're gearing up for twenty
twenty six, and I think a lot of teams are.
They have ten picks going into next year. They have
nobody with real long term commitment. So I think that
you see, like Cleveland, they drafted some guys to throw darts,
but they have a lot of capital to move up
in twenty twenty six. They could have taken Travis Hunter
and traded back. There's five or six other teams, the Jets,

(07:10):
the Giants, I guess now are out of that picture.
But for the most part, it's everybody knows what's coming
from the quarterback room. Yeah, they threw some darts, but
I think if they didn't take Harmon, I think Golden
would have been their pick if he wasn't available. He
was the only other first round grade that they had
was a wide receiver, and he won two picks later.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Yeah, like it.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
So, Joe, let me ask you.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
I mean, I've got you up there.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
What was the who took the biggest hit?

Speaker 4 (07:35):
In your eyes?

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Like a player that you maybe even somebody that you've
been talking about for the last few weeks that you've
been excited about, and they just got hit right in
the kneecaps.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
So, I think the one that surprised me that not
a lot of people are talking about is Josh Allen.
He's been mister consistent as far as fantasy football goes
as being like a top quarterback for the last four
or five years. But if you look, Coleman didn't really
impress me. Last year. They signed your Keir to the extension.
Cook didn't go anywhere, which I guess is a win.
For him, but we didn't really see any additions to

(08:08):
the wide receiver room that I would have expected.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
Well, really, show I will not stand for the slander
against Elijah Moore.

Speaker 7 (08:13):
Here.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
He is now on the team. He is there to
establish as the wide receiver one. If this guy can
tout Treylon Burks, I can teut Elijah Moore.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Let's go. But that was this week. That was this week.
That wasn't the draft, So that, like that surprised me
a lot. I thought they would have taken one of
these guys.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
We got Albert in the chat what's up, fellas, Thanks
for tuning in, Albert? Uh go YACHTI And that's what
I'm gonna call you on the on the stream here
for you.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
You know, was like as far as like the rookies
go excited landing spot. I don't know where you're at
in your dynasty drafts or anything like that, but who
were you most excited about?

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Where they went?

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Well, honestly, I think the biggest surprise of the draft
as the Jags trading up for Travis Hunter. I wasn't
really expecting that, and to get a second option with
BTJ for Trevor Lawrence to throw or two now with
Liam Cohencunnant coming in. You know, honestly, that has me
pretty excited. He mentioned, you know, he's gonna start learning

(09:18):
the offense and kind of mixed in defense, So that
makes me pretty confident. I mean, I thought he was
the top wide receiver coming into the draft and if
he's used that way, especially in a good offense with
you know, at least once talented QB. I still believe
in Trevor Lawrence. Some don't, but I think that was
the biggest surprise and that I'm most excited about Travis Hunter.

Speaker 7 (09:40):
I like that idea too, because I like that he's
going to a place where Hunter will be He'll be
the number two option. He's not going to have to
be the number one. BTJ rules that roost. I think
there and I think he should if he goes to Cleveland.
Now there's question is he is Hunter's supposed to be
the number one or are they going to try to
use him as a number one? You know, is Jue
the number one still some other teams? But I like

(10:03):
that he went to a team where he can be
the number two option because I think that I think
that'll really allow him to thrive there. So, yeah, Jacksonville
was a weird landing spot. He wasn't expecting it either.
But I like the fact that he can play second
fiddle in a way to Brian Thomas Junior and compliment
him and doesn't have to try to carry the load himself.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yeah the point way we think, sorry, man, so the
same way we think of like t Higgins or DeVonta Smith.
You know that number two draft capital. He's coming in
with that expectation and it sounds like they're willing to
give him that role.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Yeah, what I was gonna say. So there's one hundred
and thirty vacated targets. You lost Christian Kirk, you lost
Evan Ingram. So I don't think this really impacts BTJ.
I think it helps giving another option there. So this offense,
A lot of people are talking about Drake may having
that like leap coming into the year being a value pick.
Like you said, Trevor Lawrence could really be a sneaky play.
He does have that rushing upside there that he hasn't

(10:55):
really used in the last couple of years. But hey,
we could see happen.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Well, you know the thing that really separate I guess
The difference maker for me is Travis Hunter and BTJ
are very different receivers.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Like BTJ is very.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Much so a deep threat, like a burner like I'm
gonna get open, find space like, and Travis Hunter is really,
in my opinion, the first receiver Trevor Lawrence has had that.
It is like a superior catch in traffic or like
go up and get it type receiver. Somebody that you can,
you know, throw your your corner route to, you know,

(11:33):
or somebody that you can you know, you can put
your fifty to fifty ball up and uh. And so
I think that that's gonna be a game changer for him.
And I think that that is such a big thing
for him as a receiver because you know, playing corner,
you you naturally get trained to high point the football right.

(11:55):
And you saw in so much of his tape him
going up in double cover, in triple coverage and high
pointing the football and making that catch over the top
of defenders. And so seeing that as part of his
game makes me pretty excited for you know, a Trevor
Lawrence who hasn't had that right, like he's trying to
find he's going to Christian Kirk he's going to Calvin

(12:17):
Ridley off suspension, you know, like BCJ is the first
like really electric guy that he had and now he
gets another compliment on the other side. The only thing
is he lost Evan Ingram. But we're gonna see And Aaron,
I know you've talked about Brenton Strange if he can
pick it up or not, but no, definitely excited about that.

(12:39):
So Aaron, I'm gonna I'm gonna for you, who is
your biggest faller, like the like had value. Maybe you
hold him on your roster and you're hoping that they're
gonna pan out. You're hoping that they're not gonna pick
kind of like the Chase Brown situation, and then the
team does the inevitable. They do something you didn't want
to do, and now you're left with somebody that you

(13:01):
can't even get a fourth rounder for.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Put me on the spot here, don't I don't know.
I didn't have that many veterans. I know Jalen Warren
that one is probably the biggest one. He's not off
my roster completely, but Caleb Johnson I really liked that,
and that was actually gonna be my answer on the
last question for landing spot. You know that that helped
out for my first tier of running backs. I had

(13:26):
the three talent guys and uh was it gent Hampton,
Trey Henderson. But the next group of guys that are
the rookie running backs, they really benefited from nice spots.
Judkins to Cleveland, Caleb Johnson to Pittsburgh, R J. Harvey
to Denver. Those are the guys I like the most,
and so like I said, Caleb Johnson moving way up
in my rankings, I was really impressed with him. He

(13:47):
goes to Pittsburgh that killed Jalen Warren.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
For me, well, I'm I'm sure that, I'm sure that
Joe being a Pittsburgh you know, our dapper dan Man
and the show tonight, being a Pittsburgh fan, can can
can second that Caleb Johnson is essentially what the Steelers
wanted in Nause.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Like the Steelers want.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
A pen ye ears back, run hard through the whole
running back. They don't want all the dance, and they
don't want all the you know, shifty around you know
they got that. They want somebody that can run downhill
and that's Caleb Johnson. They drafted Nause to be that.
But for some reason Nase he thinks he has good
lateral movement, which he doesn't, you know, So them getting

(14:30):
that in Caleb Johnson, I think facilitates what they wanted
in that RB one role. I love Caleb Johnson's landing spot.
I think that we can see year one impact Joe
as the Pittsburgh fan, how do you feel.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Yeah, it's a great fit for the Arthur Smith offense.
He runs a zone running scheme which Nause was not
suited for. It's not something he really did at Alabama.
So even though he did run for one thousand yards,
that was more a testament to his ability to stay
on the field more so than his aptitude in that offense.
I think he's getting a bad rap as like not

(15:05):
being a good running back. I think you're gonna see
him be a lot more effective with the Chargers, but
with them drafting Hampton, that's probably gonna hurt that stock.
But on the subject of Kayla Johnson, like was already
talked about, good fit for the scheme. Jalen Warren, he
has only had like at most like one sixty one
to eighty touches in a year, so he's not going
to become this bell bellcal back all of a sudden,

(15:26):
especially last year, given the fact that he has been
banged up, so they're gonna want to keep it fresh.
The Steelers are going to run the ball. Looking at
their quarterback room of Mason Rudolph Will the Thrill Howard
from Ohio State, and then you got Skyler Thompson. They're
not looking to throw, so the carries are going to
be there. I think what you'll see Tomlin tends to

(15:46):
bring them slower along, so Jalen will probably get the starts.
They'll work in the rookie there. But I think over
the season and of obviously like as we get into
future years, Cale Johnson, I think he's going to be
a superstar and this league, especially as that team continues
to develop. They've been spending the last few years in
O line as well, so that's just another trending up benefit.

(16:07):
They didn't even have their first round offensive lineman from
last season, Tyler.

Speaker 5 (16:11):
You want a wide receiver too, and he dropped so
far in my rankings I completely forgot he even existed.
Also named Jalen Jalen McMillan at BUCA. That just kills it.
I just I was so all in Oh, it's he's
the guy in the future.

Speaker 8 (16:23):
Yeah, he might be dead.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
I think he's like in the two hundreds in my rankings.
He might not be that low.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
I don't think he's I don't think he's completely dead.
I do think that he's definitely probably dead for this season.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
You know.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
I think Mike Evans contract finishes up next season, which
could make a little bit of a shift for him.
But you know, uh, and this kind of I want
to we'll and we'll come back to running backs a
little bit, because there's a lot there.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
There's a lot there.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
But I wanted to go over to our rookie radar,
you know, and talk a little bit about somebody that
I've been talking about for the last couple of weeks
that you just mentioned Joe, And.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
I even said.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
The past two weeks both shows, I said, Will Howard
to the Steelers is going to happen. They're gonna take
him late. He's got that proto type Terry Bradshaw, big
Ben you know style to his game, and you know,
obviously the combine hurt his you know, like he didn't

(17:26):
have the accuracy that they wanted to see, and all
these things looked like look like Terry Bradshaw, but.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Before he got good all of a sudden.

Speaker 8 (17:41):
No, I mean Terry Bradshaw. Now he looks like old
Terry Bradshaw.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Here here's the deal. Okay, here's here's the thing. He's
he's good.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Like he's good here.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Like when you talk about these quarterbacks being able to
process reads and get the ball out. I think that's
one thing of his game that he does have accuracy development,
Like those things can happen.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
They can come and Chase.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
I see you churning your seat a little bit over there,
but I think I think deeps if you're in superflex.
I got Will Howard in like the end of the
third round in a super flex league, and it was
he was still sitting there. I'm like, I feel like
I gotta take him just on the upshot, Like if
if somehow the Steelers don't align, which often happens with
Aaron Rodgers, right, or he decides to be finicky and

(18:29):
Mike Tomlins says I'm done and they say, Okay, it's
gonna be.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Rudolph for Howard.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
I think Howard's gonna take that job, and I think
Howard can actually.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Do good with that job.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
But that's just my opinion, Brian. I know you were,
you were piping up there. I'm happy to hear what
you have to say on it.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
I'm just gonna say, like being there at the combine
and like I felt bad for Will Howard toward the
end of that like exercise, because all the Ohio State
fans were so loud, like rooting them on there at
the beginning, after a few ducks that he threw. Dude,
the fans were relentless. He got boot from the time
he pulled back to throw the ball until the next
guy went up like the Indie, Like the crowd there
in Indie were not letting up on him, and it

(19:07):
seemed like it affected him a little bit because he
didn't get better as the day went on. So there's
definitely question marks. There's so many of those quarterbacks that
went late that they've got question marks. But sometimes it's
just opportunity is all it takes.

Speaker 8 (19:18):
He went to Ohio State, he should be used to
getting booed.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
So okay, you know, Chase, let us know for you
who's like I want to I want to dive in.
Like everybody knows that we've got everybody knows that We've
got players that are gonna have instant year one impact
like ash and Genty is gonna have your one impact,
Jayden Higgins is gonna have year one impact, you know,

(19:45):
like that, we have those automatic Tyler Warren is gonna
have yr one impact, Like We're gonna have those automatic
like guarantees. But if you're like in your rookie drafts,
or even if you're just a fan and you're like wondering, Okay,
my team drafted this person, what what can I look
to see, you know, who who is like? And I
would say, maybe go third round or beyond, you know,

(20:08):
outside of who's like one of those deep people that
you think could really have an impact or an emergence
year one. And I say that because, like, for example,
for me in The King's Classic. Last year I drafted
in The King's Classic, I won. You could see the
belt there behind me, no big deal. But it's not
like that. It's it's the strategy. So I went heavy

(20:31):
on running back. I grabbed a strong tight end. I
had me a good quarterback. Well, I say that, Remember
we were I was drafting at the Expo and Lamar
that was the one where I was like, Lamar is
still here in like the sixth round, and I took
Lamar in the sixth but receivers, I waited till late,
and I grabbed Lad, I grabbed BTJ. You know, I

(20:53):
had Mike Evans, Like, I just grabbed some some rookies
that I thought could have Year one signal, nificant relevance
that didn't cost me an arm and a leg, and
it at the by the end of the season when
the playoffs, when it all mattered, they're all putting up
twenty points a game, and I'm like cashing in, baby,
you know. So like's there's always those light round players

(21:15):
and like a place where rookies, especially because we don't know,
can have significant impact for your rosters. So you know,
who is that guy for you? Like, if there's one
that you can grab and tell our audience about, Well.

Speaker 7 (21:32):
There's one that I don't think maybe a lot of
people are paying a whole lot of attention to that
you could probably get in the third round or might
be able to get in the third round, depending on
the format of your league. But Mason Taylor at tight
end in New York, I think is one that a
lot of people aren't necessarily talking about. Like you said,
we're all thinking about Genti, We're all thinking about Hampton,
We're all thinking about Jaden Higgins, and I agree, all

(21:54):
those guys are going to be relevant this year. Judkins
in Cleveland, but Mason Taylor at tight end in New York. Listen,
he's he's fighting with Jeremy Ruckert who has never seen
more than twenty eight targets in a season and has
not really done anything since he's been drafted. And Stone's
Smart with two te's, and I'm not I just call me,

(22:15):
you know, crazy, but I'm not worried about the idea
of Mason Taylor beating out Stone, Smart and Jeremy Rutgert.
So he's got a clear path to playing time right
away as a starter and in that offense. But then
you take a look back. Cole Comet was the tight
end eight in back to back seasons twenty twenty two
and twenty twenty three in Chicago with Justin Fields as

(22:37):
the quarterback, including getting ninety targets. The one year Justin
Fields will look for his tight end in New York
and the way that he plays, the playing style, the
scrambling that Fields does when he's on the run, and
he's looking for a receiver. I think that's the kind
of thing that Mason Taylor can do. Mason Taylor can
play all three downs. He's not somebody they're going to

(22:58):
be taking off the field all the time. I think
he can be on the field all the time. And
I think that he's got a real opportunity to be
one of Justin Field's favorite targets right away. And if
that happens, he could surprise people and he could show
up and end up as you know, it's the realm,
it's within the realm of outcomes for him to be

(23:19):
that second tiers or second half of the you know,
of the top twelve in tight end there. So Mason
Taylor is somebody that I'm actually keeping my eye on
a lot here, especially if I you know, it gets
to that third round and it's kind of thin elsewhere. Yeah,
Mason Taylor.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
In New York, Cole Comett was one of those and
BHS cardinal put it in there. You mentioned him obviously
in a reference, but that it was it was a
sad day for Cole Commett's Like I couldn't believe the
Colston Lovelympic that early. You know, when you have a
good tight end there, and really a complete tight end

(23:58):
like Cole Comett can play all aspects of the position.
So that was a surprise for me. We went wild
on the freaking Draft Show when that pickapp and like,
what the heck? But rest in peace, Cole Comet, go Yati.
I know you had one deep sleeper you wanted to
share and somebody that actually went undrafted.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Tell us a little bit about that.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
So Xavier Rostreppo went to the Titans. He is immediately
joining an offense where I think he could elevate to
the second receiver there, opposite of Calvin Ridley. So you know,
I don't really see any other competition there. In best Ball,
I think it's a great value getting him, you know,

(24:43):
nineteenth twentieth round. So in Dynasty, I would have to
imagine that he's probably a similar, just always available type
of guy. I think that's a guy if I had
to choose a situation to fall into for someone who
didn't have the best combine performance, you know, slower already.
I saw a lot of drops when he was running
through the got with it, you know, I think, you know,

(25:05):
maybe he just underplayed his hand. Uh in Indianapolis and
could potentially improve his stock in Tennessee.

Speaker 7 (25:14):
And that and he's playing with his college quarterback too.
I mean cam cam Ward will be the quarterback there.
And cam Ward actually mentioned him in his uh post
game or his post draft press conference. He said, don't
sleep on Xavier Restrepol And this was before we knew
he was actually going to sign with Tennessee. He said,
don't let the forty time for you. Xavier Restrepo is
one of the best route runners. As the best route runners,

(25:35):
he called him in the draft. This seeon this year. Yeah,
I think Restrepo coming out of the slot for them. Yeah,
I like that idea too. I think he could have
a good.

Speaker 6 (25:44):
Year to be fair. Ward also said Tajy Spears and
Tony Pollard were two of the best running backs in
the league. So yeah, assault, Yeah, look.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
You okay, you piped down in your deport down there.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Okay, I don't say no, Shade, I said, what was said.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Look, we don't have it. I've got some Arkansas bias
in this, That's okay.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
I'm a Razorbacks fan.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
You see the helmet, you know, and apparently you know
I'm not the only one. But I'll get I'll get
to that a little bit later. But Aaron, you had
a couple sleepers for us. Hit us with your guys
your you're deep sleepers for this year.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
Actually, I had one at every position, but Chase took
my tight end. I had Mason Taylor there for pretty
much the same reasons, but I'll just breeze through them quick.
For quarterback, I had Tyler Shuck New Orleans because there's
absolutely no chance Derek Carr makes it through more than
half this season injury, crappy play, no chance, so I'm
in on him. I got him earlier and I believe

(26:46):
three twelve end of the third round in a rookie draft.
Running back, I got Jordan James in San Francisco because
Christian McCaffrey has only played more than seven games twice
in the last five years. And my wife receiver, I've
got Tory Horton Seattle because he's a big outside X
type receiver and they seem to be just collecting slot receivers,

(27:07):
so I like his upside there.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
I don't hate any I don't hate any of those calls. Really,
I think that and I agree they are deep. By
the way, if you're watched into the show, and like
if you're if you're tuned in on the radio or
if you're watching live on Talking West Tennessee. Uh, if
you hop over to our YouTube channel, Fantasy Football Advice Network,
you can drop your questions in the chat.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
We're happy to get to your questions too.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
If you have any again, Fantasy Football Advice Network YouTube channel,
hop over and and we.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Can get to some of your questions too if you
have those.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
So sleeper for me, and uh, you know again, I'm
gonna throw out a little Arkansas bias. So I don't
know how much you buy.

Speaker 8 (27:50):
That, but.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
The Lions, the Lions trade it up almost a full
round to go up and get really early. What I thought, uh,
go up and get Isaac Teslaw out of Arkansas. Now everybody,
everybody after the draft was like, Okay, who's that had

(28:16):
had had a top eleven in the history r AS
score of all wide receivers to ever be scored top eleven.
Then you know I had a And I actually was surprised.
I was going through our Rookie Guy, which will be
dropping next week. So I'm going through the Rookie Guide
and I'm looking and I hit his profile and I'm like.

Speaker 8 (28:38):
He had a drop right, zero percent.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Zero percent drop rate, zero percent drop rate for a
wide receiver in two seasons. And it's like, you know,
so obviously, now I will say this, the Lions are
biased on Arkansas players. They got Frank rag Now at center,
they got Dance Skipper as six man like they like.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
To go get razorback players.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
I don't know why, especially on the offensive line, but
they obviously saw something enough to pay multiple picks future
picks even to go up and get him. And this
goes to the question, and you know, I'll ask, I'll
ask you, Brian. This is one of those instances where

(29:27):
you say, does draft capital matter? Like when you make
that kind of move, no matter what our opinion is
of a player like y'a are like, ah, he only
had like six hundred yards receiving, Like it wasn't that
great of a career, you know, So what he is
six 't four and ran a four you know four forty,
Like that doesn't really matter, Like people don't really know them.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
They're out on him, right, So the is the.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Draft capital sometimes enough for us to go, you know,
despite my maybe I should look at this person or
is it worth even consideration in the conversation.

Speaker 6 (30:02):
I feel like it has to be. You know, like,
despite our pre draft analysis and how we look at
these players, end of the day, the NFL has so
much more access to these players, to data that we,
you know, most of us can't even have access to.
So I feel like it's just kind of dumb to
ignore that stuff, because you know, it's easy to double
count things and look at like, all right, here's his
combine stuff, and like that that's all rolled into draft capital.

(30:24):
Draft capitals tells you how much they think about you know,
their their college production, that them as a person, you
know them, and their their combine stuff. So I feel
like you have to especially when this guy six four
two fourteen, I love me a big wide receiver. The
fact that the NFL is moving away from these giant,
lurking beasts and get some of these quick guys then
get the ball out quick. It hurts my heart a
little bit, you know. I loved, loved the two. Yeah,

(30:49):
I was gonna say, yeah, you know, maybe I'm a
little biased being up there with them in height as well,
but this kid's coming out of school getting a five
point two two receiving yards per team pass attempt anything
over three is amazing. So the fact that he is
up that high and he's going in the second round
to the to the Lions, I mean, you got you
gotta dabble into it a little bit. And the fact
that you're getting him. I'm seeing him on the waiver

(31:09):
wires after some of my rookie draft, you know, the
three round rooie drafts. You're getting Hm in the third round.
Took him in the second one of my leagues just
because I got ansy and I had to pull the trigger.
You know, It's just what was sitting there. But yeah,
I'm buying into it.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
Completely awesome.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Well, you know, we got Matthias and popping in the chat,
he said Tyler on Isaac Tesla. Are you worried the
idiots on the Lions defense will injure him during training camp?

Speaker 5 (31:31):
No, I see Gardner Johnson's gone.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
I'm actually and I would say this, I'm not worried
about it because I Tesla through college was not afraid
to take on contact like we've seen him take on contact.
We've seen him handle contact. He didn't miss time. You know,
he he knows how to go into contact. If it happened, sure,

(31:55):
but I'm not worried about him getting hurt. I'm not Yeah,
you're not really worried about you. Like I literally watched
some I forget it was the thing is the LSU
game and he caught that pass and then proceeded to
run over to defensive backs at the same time to
get a few more extra yards.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Like, I'm not worried about it.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
I think that he is somebody right Like I just
did a I just did a Dynasty draft and he
went in the fourth round. Like Biggs was just talking
about before the show, he's available at the four to one.
Somebody that went picked seventy overall that a team traded
up almost a full round to get goes in the
fourth round of your And it's because people don't know

(32:37):
so right now, why people don't know, sure grab them
because realistically, I mean, you look at the Lions, you
look at the lines wide receiver group. You got am
and Raw, you got Jamison and then what Laporta. Of
course you got Gibbs in the back, but then you
got Tim Patrick. Tim Patrick is your third receiver, you know,
and so and they like playing and Am and Raw

(33:01):
in that kind of midst move around role. They don't
necessarily put him on the outside all the time. So
I think that you know Tesla and especially Tesla's catch
radius is beast. I don't know if you've seen the film,
but like if the ball comes near him, like he's
not good at getting like when he gets off the line,
his release and getting out of you know, getting space early.

(33:25):
But man, if you get it anywhere near him, he's
gonna catch it.

Speaker 6 (33:31):
Go ahead, I'm just gonna I'm gonna ask if you're
worried at all about having to recharge the batteries on him.
I have heard that's kind of an issue with him.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
You can always count Brian kint On Brian for a
good joke. Uh, Teslaw, not Tesla. But you know, it's okay,
It's it's easy. I know you're like six or eight
and so you know, listening to the conversations way up there,
you know you miss thing sometimes Joe, who's your top

(34:04):
sleeper in this class or somebody you think that has
Year one impact.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
I think somebody that stands out to me is Kyle Williams.
He got drafted to the New England Patriots. We know
that they signed Stefan Diggs. We think it's gonna be
a good year two offense for Drake May. He was
really dominant in college. I really like the fit forhim there,
and I think he can have a day one impact
because there's not really a lot of competition in New England.
And if they're gonna be not as good as people think,

(34:31):
or they think they're in a tough division, well guess
what they're gonna be doing throwing the ball a lot.
So I think all signs point to him being able
to do well. He's currently ranked on keep Trade Cut,
which isn't like the end all be all, but I
just like to pull it just to see how that
information is. He's currently picked twenty nine in rookie drafts.
You can get him at the end of the third
and I think that's a really good value for him.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
So speaking of Patriots, and we'll kind of shift. I
know we've been talking a lot about rookies, but rookies
obviously impact veterans, and uh, you know, I'm interested to
hear some of the takes on maybe some of the
veterans that could still pop off in a significant way
that maybe you know later values and you know, speaking

(35:13):
of Rabel, who did Vrabel things and instantly, you know,
invested in the offensive line, took the top offensive tackle
in the draft.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
You know he's gonna protect Drake May.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
They want to throw the ball. They don't have a
lot of weapons. You know, they obviously got Kyle Williams
coming in Stefan Diggs. But let me ask you this,
and I don't know if anybody's on the same page.
Does Hunter Henry have another year of top production if
Drake May has time to throw the ball in that
offense in a Mike Vrabel like system.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
Did he have a previous year of top production.

Speaker 6 (35:52):
I was gonna say, I guess that's the question.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Then he started hot last year when Drake May first started,
but then he kind of faded off after to injuries.
I think the potential is there, probably less so than
it was last year because they had literally no one.

Speaker 5 (36:06):
He'll have a stretch where he scores a touchdown in
like three or four games, and then he'll do nothing.

Speaker 8 (36:11):
The rest of the season.

Speaker 7 (36:12):
He finished He finished tight end twelve overall last season on.

Speaker 9 (36:16):
An you were taking thirteen like you just said, he's
good for like getting all of those in like two
three weeks and then the rest of the year, he's useless.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 8 (36:30):
I think he's more assessment.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
But here's the thing, what's he gonna cost you? Realistically,
we're probably talking about around seventeen round Yeah, like a
waiver wire claim. He's gonna cost you nothing and you're
gonna get those weeks.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
I mean he hasn't.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
I mean he's finished what he had one season outside
of the top twenty at the position. You know, it's
obviously twelve's not winning you a championship, but you know,
over ten yards per catch last season to touchdowns in
a very much struggling I mean, he didn't even have
Drake May. But him and Drake May we're tapped with
they were connecting early.

Speaker 5 (37:07):
So I don't know digs have anything left. Mario Douglas
is pretty good. Kyle Williams looks good. That's pass catcher
on the team. Might be Trey Henderson. I don't see
how anything.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
I'm so excited for Trey. For Henderson, that's gonna be
freaking awesome.

Speaker 4 (37:28):
I think that that.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Rest in peace for Andre uh Corey and what a
crew tonight. Uh plus Brian always glad to have Brian
got tipsy pop. Hey, friends, let's see and then Matthias
and dropped Jayalen Warren for the new Ravens kicker. Take Yeah,

(37:51):
what a take? So uh go yachtie. Who who a
veteran for you? Uh that you thinks you know again
we're talking. We're talking about I like, I like trying
to get the deep guys like, you know, last year
even you look at like a Terry McLaurin. Terry McLaurin
win the double digit rounds. He produced significant impact with

(38:13):
the new quarterback Like who's a veteran that the you're
still buying that you might get later?

Speaker 2 (38:21):
Oh if yeah, let me pivot to that. So I
like Michael Pittman. He had a back injury last year
really diminished his ability on the field and a lot
lower targets. I think he had one hundred last year
as opposed to you know, one hundred and forty ish
the year before. I'm still in on Pittman. I think

(38:43):
he's still the number one wide receiver. I know Josh
Downs has kind of his up and down games, but
I think if a rich if he works with Chris
hess in the offseason, he gets even twenty five percent
of the results that Josh Allen did I think that
offense could could be huge? And allegedly Danny Dimes is

(39:04):
looking good in practice. Everyone's saying he looks smooth and effishing.
But you know, I don't know how much I trust
that hype. So Pittman is actually a veteran I'm excited about.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Well, we'll go to the Colts fan himself and Brian, Brian,
do you sound do you do you? Do you feel that?
And I asked that because I just went through a
rookie draft where I threw. I threw Michael Pittman on
the trade block for a second round pick. I was like,
give me a second round pick, I'll send you Michael Pittman.

Speaker 4 (39:32):
And I got zero offers. I got zero offers for
a second round pick.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
So then I even said, you know, there was somebody
who I wanted late third. I was like, I'll take
an early third for Pittman. Sure, I've got a lot
of wide receiver depth. I'll take this. And still nothing,
so that goes, that goes to second. Goyati's take is like,
the value is down, He's coming at a cheap cost.

(39:58):
Is he worth it?

Speaker 4 (39:59):
And do you believe it? The Colts offense.

Speaker 6 (40:02):
That's a loaded question there, so I guess so the
most dangerous thing for a fantasy football fan, an NFL
fan is hope is hope. And if that did not
absolutely get shattered from me last year, I am still
hopeful for Anthony Richardson as a Colts fan. Absolutely I
want him to be good. You know, we we spent

(40:24):
the capital on him. He's incredibly young, there's so much
potential there. But it's so hard to spend assets on
these players, especially when Tyler Warren could potentially, by the
end of the season, could be the number one target
in that offense. Josh Downs is immensely talented. Pittman's paid
is the number one. So I think those three are
kind of kind of cannibalize each other for a good

(40:46):
part of the season. But that's the beauty of it.
Nobody wants these or nobody wants Michael Pittman. You know,
I luckily got it, got to trade him off this
past year in Dynasty. As soon as a rich got
benched and Flacco win in off, I traded him and
I was able to get a decent value for him.
After that, it was shot. So I think that's going
to be where Pittman has value is because you're going
to get him so late. If you're getting him closer

(41:07):
to double digit round somewhere there, and Redraft, I think
it's going to work out for you. He'll be a nice,
viable piece. You can flex him in there from week
to week. But God, as a Colts fan, man, I
hope it happens. But I am not setting myself up
for failure.

Speaker 7 (41:20):
Yees see, I'm out on Pittman just for a couple
of reasons. For one, if Richard's the thing that Richardson
does best as a passer, if you can call it
best as a passer, is that he can throw it
from Indianapolis to Evansville, right. He can chuck the thing
as far as anybody wants him to. And that lines
up perfectly with ad Ni Mitchell's skill set. He Ady

(41:42):
Mitchell was an elite separator last season. Go go ahead
and check the check the stats on a check, check
the stat cast on it. He was an elite separator.
It's just that Richardson can never hit him, he can
never find him. He just throw it as far as
he can, or throw it somewhere down there, and then
expect Mitchell to have to run around the acreage and
find it. Daniel Jones is an actual NFL caliber passer.

(42:06):
He is not a great quarterback, but he is an
actual NFL caliber passer. Right. He can complete at least
sixty three percent of his passes at least okay. But
the problem is if Daniel Jones when's your when's your
starting quarterback position, He's gonna throw short, He's gonna dink
and dunk DNK and dunk DNK and dunk, didnk and dunk.
And that means that Tyler Warren and that means Josh
Downs are the two who are going to be getting

(42:27):
the passes. So you've either got Daniel Jones playing and
thrown it to Downs and Warren, or you've got Richardson
shucking it as far as he can and hoping Ady
Mitchell comes and gets it. And that leastressing is kind
of the odd man out. And so you know, for that,
for those couple of reasons, I'm I'm gonna be way
lower on Pittman, I think than some of us are.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
So let me let me ask you this, Aaron, and
I know you're about to speak there, so maybe you
can kind of pitch your point and highlight this if
you are buying Pittman, Like, if you're one of those
and you're like, you know what, people are so loo
on them, I'm going to take them just so I
can get some depth on my roster and take a shot.
What are you willing to pay or are you at all?

Speaker 8 (43:11):
Whatever?

Speaker 5 (43:12):
The fine for the ticket I have after the DUI, I've.

Speaker 8 (43:16):
Clearly been drinking.

Speaker 5 (43:18):
If I'm buying Pittman, I've been drinking and I need
to pay the ticket.

Speaker 8 (43:22):
That's that's That wasn't what I was jumping in on.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
Actually I was going to jump in and say that
I thought Anthony Richardson's best skill is that he wasn't
Daniel Jones.

Speaker 8 (43:30):
So I'm way out on the fault time.

Speaker 5 (43:33):
I don't see I die at all.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
Which is okay. So let me ask you.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
You have the last pick in the draft, you've got
the in your rookie draft, you've got for twelve, and
somebody says they'll give you Pittman for four to twelve.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
You still wouldn't do it.

Speaker 8 (43:53):
One second? Who do I have at four to twelve
on my board?

Speaker 3 (43:55):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (43:55):
Come on, nothing after a second?

Speaker 8 (44:00):
Okay, four twelve?

Speaker 5 (44:01):
By your logic, earlier. The four to twelve in the
draft I had earlier today was Will Howard super flex?
Do you want Will Howard or do you want Michael Pittman? Michael,
but it's probably only probably Pittman.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
No, Joe, Joe, come on, man, No, no, I'm not
that far.

Speaker 7 (44:24):
No Pittman for the four twelve. Yeah, any someone for Pitman?

Speaker 1 (44:30):
Yeah, any any quarterback that has a shot at starting
possibilities is worth more than the four to twelve, Like
Will Howard at four to twelve to me, is in
a super flex league where you have to play two quarterbacks.
Unless this is like an eight team league, that doesn't
make any sense.

Speaker 5 (44:48):
If it's as saying as you'd rather have the four
twelve than Pittman.

Speaker 4 (44:52):
I would rather have Will Howard than Pittman.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
But Will Howard made it.

Speaker 8 (44:58):
Already.

Speaker 7 (44:59):
No, I'll take I will take talent over over the
that situation for Will Howard. I'll take Michael Pittman's talent
as a receiver and trust that at some point over
the the time of period of time that I have
him on my roster, they're gonna find someone to throw
in the football. I will bet on Michael Pittman's talent
over Will.

Speaker 5 (45:18):
Howard, Tyler gunder your head, Michael Pittman, Traylon Burkes.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
Oh again, this is not even a question. What are
we doing here?

Speaker 1 (45:30):
Well, it's it's gonna.

Speaker 4 (45:32):
I'm biased.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
I think he's still I think he's got it, just
had been on the field.

Speaker 4 (45:37):
But that's me.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
I'll I when I took trail on Burks, I was like,
this guy is gonna die on my roster. Like if
if he doesn't do it, that's okay.

Speaker 4 (45:46):
I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
I'm gonna, I'm gonna take my mistake. I'm gonna live
with it and I'm gonna roll.

Speaker 6 (45:52):
But it's okay, I'll do it.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (45:57):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
Okay, So so hear me out here? We can't there
there is a such thing as late bloomers.

Speaker 4 (46:06):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (46:07):
And I'm not talking about like you know, anything off
off off cuff or anything, but like, you know, you
look at Tyler Lockett, right, Like, let's look at Tyler
Lockett's stats.

Speaker 5 (46:18):
Tyler Lockett in your ten breakout.

Speaker 7 (46:20):
You don't want to hear my takeout yet?

Speaker 1 (46:21):
No, Tyler Lockett finished wide receiver forty sixty two and
fifty four his first three seasons like completely off the radar,
never had more than five hundred yards. Now, no, Trailing's
stats are much different than that, but Trailing didn't play
any full seasons he had a total like his his
sophomore and junior season in the NFL, he had a

(46:42):
total of three touchdowns total. Then he goes on for
the next five years his year four, year five or
six or seven, and year eight and never finishes outside
of the top fifteen at the position.

Speaker 5 (47:00):
You know how he got his opportunity and stayed on
the roster though special teams. He was a returner. That's
how he got into the lineup. Brooks doesn't do that.

Speaker 6 (47:07):
Yeah, he had eight hundred, six hundred, nine hundred yards
his first three years in returning, So yeah, there was
a lot of work in that.

Speaker 7 (47:13):
The other thing about Tyler Lockett, we talked about it earlier,
kind of when we were talking about tight ends, is
that he'll get all of his points. I used to
hate drafting Tyler Lockett because you knew that he was
going to go off for like thirty plus points two
or three times every season, and the rest of the
year he was gonna have like three catches for thirty
two yards. That's just how he gained all of his points,

(47:34):
especially earlier, like when he first became a starter, and
I didn't want to have to always gamble on that.
He was always a better best ball target for me
than he was like redraft target because you never knew
when was the right time to start him, and the
minute that you set him, he'd go off for literally
a thirty plus point game. So I mean, I don't
think Trylon Burks has thirty total points in Fantasy in him,

(47:56):
let alone thirty points to game.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
It's okay, we'll dude.

Speaker 7 (48:01):
I hate myself for it.

Speaker 5 (48:03):
No receivers is getting It's really testing my ability to
not drop any swear words.

Speaker 8 (48:10):
Here I get a running back to talk about if
you want to.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
Look look, okay, well I will digress.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
We will see.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
But you know, for those like and this is where
like you know, fantasy is fun right, Like it's it's
so fun because like you do follow the stats and
you do follow the player projection. Also fun you have
players you like, you know, like I have Ceedee Lamb
on a ton of my of my leagues. I like
Cee Lamb, like I like the player, like he's like
Christian McCaffrey. Christian McCaffrey's old, and people are like, are
you trading them off yet? No, I'm gonna you know,

(48:42):
I've got his jersey on my wall. I've got his
rookie card autographed right beside it, you know, like it's fantasy.

Speaker 4 (48:48):
I'm I'm gonna I'm I'm gonna ride with my guys,
you know, And.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
That's cool, it's fun. I can still win championships that way,
you know, But it's you know, I wouldn't so like
for for trailing shirt. Will he ever pan out?

Speaker 4 (49:03):
Probably not.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
I knew that going in from one of his coaches
that I had talked to said he didn't know how
to work hard. Sure, you know, uh he was always
just the best, period, but that that.

Speaker 4 (49:13):
Doesn't pan out in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
And we'll see that this year. There's gonna be players
that are coming into the draft this year that we
think are gonna be automatics.

Speaker 4 (49:21):
We see it all the time.

Speaker 1 (49:22):
You've seen it with Nikhil Harry, right, Like everybody's like,
oh man, Nikhil Harry is gonna be awesome.

Speaker 4 (49:27):
Boo boo, right, and it's.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
Like, you're gonna have those players. So I'll flip that
to you, Aaron, with with all your infinite wisdom, here,
who is that guy this season?

Speaker 4 (49:39):
Who is the guy that.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
Everybody's hype on that is gonna gonna be a dud
that everybody just needs to stay away from.

Speaker 8 (49:48):
We're talking entirely or at draft cost.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
I would say at at draft costs, but also kind
of entirely, but at draft costs mainly.

Speaker 5 (50:00):
Ashton Genty I said it. There's no chance we did
this with Bijon as a rookie. We always say, oh,
he's got nothing. Yeah, well, Tyler Lgier was nothing and
it still didn't return wherever he was RB four value
as in his rookie season. It's gonna happen with Genty.
I'm not saying he's gonna be a bust. He's not
gonna return RB four value, which is what he's going
at now.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
So I'm gonna hit this quick question to chat Ashton
spring ecept for a two team orphans dynasty dispersal draft
snake or linear snake, Yes, snake. I I typically only
go linear in rookie drafts. Only.

Speaker 4 (50:43):
You know, any kind of startup, You're gonna go snake.

Speaker 7 (50:47):
If it's two teams only.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
Probably.

Speaker 6 (50:52):
Oh yeah, is everybody dis like it sounds like they're
probably dropping.

Speaker 1 (50:59):
So if it it's like an if it's like an
expansion draft, right, So like let's say two teams leave,
they exit, and you basically take their entire rosters.

Speaker 4 (51:08):
You open them up for draft.

Speaker 7 (51:09):
Well, I know what, I know what a dispersal draft is.

Speaker 4 (51:11):
But if it's for me, I'm saying that may shift it.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
Like if I'm in a if I'm a commissioner and
I look at the league and I feel like the
league is very lopsided.

Speaker 4 (51:23):
Yeah, if the league is very.

Speaker 1 (51:25):
Lopsided and there's some teams that really need help, I
might go linear, You're way.

Speaker 3 (51:32):
Nicer than me. There's no way I'm gonna do that
for people. I hate doing waivers by like standings for
that reason. It's like I don't play this to like
have everybody be close to winning. I play to dominate people.
There's no way that I'm gonna be doing that.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
Yeah, but you know that dynasty leagues, dynasty leagues if
they get too off suit, which they do because people
like to trade, and then you know, with six teams
that are straight garbage, you know, with three you know
teams that actually compete each season, and so then you're constantly,
you know, recirculating new orphan owners and everything like that
that are trying to build a roster, and eventually the

(52:08):
league dies. Right Like dynasty leagues that last more than
like three to four years are not common. And so like,
that's my only debate with that, cause I'm the same.
I'm like, hey, I made good trades, I built my roster.
My team's a baller. Sure, yeah tough.

Speaker 4 (52:25):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
And if if this person's you know, this person has
ten ten starters that are hidden, I want to make
sure I get one of them, and I want to,
you know, if I can get one twelve and two
to one, I want them right and.

Speaker 4 (52:39):
So, you know, but it's not gonna keep the league moving.

Speaker 5 (52:42):
Hey, Ty, you mentioned a name a couple of minutes ago,
Nikhil Harry. You would agree Big Bus probably worst draft
pick of all time.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
Don't go there.

Speaker 4 (52:51):
We already left that more career.

Speaker 8 (52:53):
Touchdowns than Traylon Burks.

Speaker 5 (52:55):
I just like, well, sure, just saying.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
So Matthiason says.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
Every Bears player, and I forget what this question was
comparing to oh the bust, who was going to be
a bust. So Matthiason said, every Bears player?

Speaker 4 (53:15):
What about the Bears?

Speaker 1 (53:17):
The Bears came into this draft and go, Yati, I
see you squint in your eyes, so maybe you've got
a little bit to hit on this. But I know
the Bears came into this draft and uh, and they
they addressed offense like crazy. I mean, they they went
and they got there, They got their tight end, they
invested in receiver like they they said, we're building our offense.

Speaker 8 (53:41):
Are you with it?

Speaker 1 (53:42):
Every Bears player is a bust? Or do you like
what the franchise is doing with this team?

Speaker 2 (53:48):
I think maybe five out of six that's correct. But
I'm excited about DeAndre Swift. I think before Pittman popped
in my head that might have been my answer beforehand.
You know, no direct replacement. I'm not afraid of Roshawn Johnson.
I think, you know, just the fate that was showed
coming out of the draft is super exciting. I know

(54:09):
he's rocketing up the best ball boards probably two three
rounds at this point. So I'm glad that I, you know,
took some chances on him. Curious about what you guys think? Uh?
And also you know, Luther Burton. I think there's a
chance he could overtake Odonza as the second target getter.

(54:31):
I see some some nose there, but I think he's
a talented guy, so yeah, give it, give it to me.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
Let's no, I mean Joe was immediately like Joe, you
must have drafted a lot of Adnza.

Speaker 3 (54:46):
No, I actually don't have any shares of him. I
just appreciate what he is as a player. He was
dynamite at Washington last year. I think from like what
you wanted to see from a rookie, his expectations where
he went in the draft, first round pick. I think
a lot of people were expecting what they got from
elague members, but they got from bron Thomas Junior. We
didn't see that from Mark Harrison. We didn't see that

(55:07):
from Adonzay. There was a lot of work that needs
to be done on that offense, particularly with the offensive line.
They lost Keenan Allen. I would be a lot more
worried about DJ Moore. I think that Luther Burden has
a much more repeatable role and can overtake that. Dunza
see as the route runner that's going to be out
in the outside, that is going to be impacted at all.
But I think Rome he's probably being too hype right now.

(55:28):
But I do think he's going to be in much
better shape than he was last year.

Speaker 7 (55:32):
Are the two that and more. They occupy the same
They occupy the same niche. Their skill sets are the
ones that overlap. But Dounsea and Burden are not the
two that overlap in terms of the skill set that
they bring to the table. I love what the Bears
have done building it. You mentioned the offensive line, so
they went out and they signed a bunch of veteran
good offensive linemen. They addressed their offensive line. They Ben

(55:55):
Johnson is there now. I love the Luther Burden signing.
But yeah, they're doing it right there. I don't think
the Bears are going to be bust set all this year.
I think that I think that they're gonna be a
fun team to watch. I think there, and it pains
me to say it as a Packer fan, I really
think that they're doing it right all with the whole
judgment because it is the Bears and they always seem

(56:16):
to find a way to bear it up. But they
they really have done a good job this offseason of
addressing the needs of that team and giving Caleb Williams
everything he needs to absolutely skyrocket.

Speaker 6 (56:28):
If anything, they might fall into something like the Packers.
You know, the Packers, we didn't have a single wide
receiver over twenty two percent target share. That's a huge possibility.
We could see with the Bears with two capable tight
end pass catchers, two running backs that are capable of
pass catchers, plus these three receivers, this might just be
wheels up for Caleb Williams. He might be the only
slam dunk within this you know, this offense.

Speaker 4 (56:50):
I I'll you know, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (56:52):
That's the great thing about the draft is like you know,
it shifts the momentum and like right now, like I
don't know if you're doing best ball drafts or what
you're doing, but it's it's it's a complete we'll see,
right and uh, we always have our projections, but this
is where you can land players that you know, maybe
other people aren't tabbed onto yet. Obviously we're in the
middle of dynasty draft season, which is a blast.

Speaker 4 (57:15):
But you know here we're closing.

Speaker 1 (57:17):
