Speaker 2 (00:29):
So let's get it.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
What's up everybody?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I got a crew in the house and I don't
know what was going on with my sound just then
in the intro, But we're here and we're still live,
and we're kicking. The chad has been lit up prior
to the show. We got let's go Friday Night from Grindberg.
Let's get this party started. Too much Fantasy Football and
appreciate my guy disco at Big Draft Energy, all of
(01:13):
his homies dropping in giving a little support to the channel.
Appreciate you and of course you know Brent always showing up,
always hype for the show. Appreciate you, BHS Cardinals, CMC.
I have so many questions. Yes that was on the thumbnail.
Yes we're talking about when now, and you can't get
(01:34):
away from CMC. Even though I saw a video and Steve,
I don't know if you saw it on Twitter, but
there was a video of CMC taking a couple reps
and people were like, oh, where.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Did the burst go?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Where did the book burst go? Is it is it?
Are we are we serious? Like do we really think
CMC has lost burst or is this just.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
One of those things?
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Now he looks great.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
There's a lot of mixed up, but it's a bunch
of keyboard warriors who probably pull their hamstring if they
walk down the street.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
So I'm not worried about it.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
I love that keyboard warriors. Brent Bradford, appreciate you. This
channel helped him win last year. Going for the repeat,
we are here for you. Got Doug in the chat,
Go get them fellas Chris contender strategy.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Let someone sell you.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
James Connor for cheat because he is always undervalued, which
is true.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Everybody is yelling Trey Benson season.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
You might can get James Connor for its less as
a third round draft pick in Dynasty, So hey, maybe
there's something there, big draft energy. We're here for the
show and Joe.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Except for Joe.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
You don't got the fit on tonight?
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Where's the fit at bro Rep?
Speaker 5 (02:54):
In the live draft Scott fish Bowl. We have the
up we have the upgraded backdrop. I wanted the I
wanted to bring the show to that. We can't show
out every time, you know what I'm saying. No, we
got to build it up. They could show if we
just said about if you do something every time, then
it just becomes normal. People have to show up and
see what the freak nasty fit is gonna be. Sometimes
(03:17):
it's gonna be casual, sometimes it's gonna be crazy. I
might end up topless by the end of the year
if we get enough like who knows what happens, but
it's not about me.
Speaker 6 (03:26):
Let's get to it.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Forty likes and Joe will take his shirt off.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Uh, oh no, I'm just kidding, man.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
No. So I've got a crew in the house, you know,
every Friday, nine o'clock. It's me, it's Joe. And we've
got two guests this week, Dustin and Steve.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Glad to have you fellas.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Just real quick, let let the crowd know where, like
who you are, where they can find your content maybe
even like if you have something specific that you cover, uh,
and let them know where they can follow you, like
on X or anything like that.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
All right, go ahead, Dustin, you go first.
Speaker 7 (04:03):
All right, man, Well, appreciate you having me on. If
you see there on the screen, you can find me there.
That's my Twitter handle, Empire Elite FF. I also have
a free discord by the same name, Empire of the Elite.
Got a bunch of ball Knower's in there. That's all
we're doing. We're breaking down all twenty two film We're
running mock drafts, real thirty two team NFL mock drafts
(04:24):
where you act like a general manager. Just a bunch
of fun stuff like that. Building up a nice little
film room there too, all for free, So just go ahead.
You'll find the link there in my Twitter as well.
We do have another thing coming here soon, powered by
the Fantasy Sports Advice Network. It's a new show called
Debbie Dojo. So if you've been want to dip your
toes into the DeBie game, really get into that prospect
(04:45):
scouting twenty four to seven, then that's going to be
the show for you to join it. I'm just so
excited to roll that out.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
So Steve here.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Obviously, I'm new to Fantasy Sports Advice Network, super excited
to be here. I've been playing fantasy football for way.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Too long to admit. Don't want to give away my age.
I know this looks great.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
But I'm also a huge fan in the IDP category,
something that I hope to bring into the Fantasy Advice Network.
I really want to kind of add some value in
that space because it's such a fun way to play
fantasy football. When you're adding those defensive players, it makes it,
I think, to me, a lot more exciting than the
(05:25):
typical offensive side of things.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Yeah. So no, I love IDP.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I am in like maybe two IDP leagues, and you know,
it's it's fun. It's fun to get that like larger
grasp of the game, and you know it's a blast,
you know, shout out big draft energy. In the chat,
he said, oh god, IDP one and done for me.
He played IDP one year and competed. He played in
(05:54):
the Fantasy Sports Advice Network Jersey Leagues last year and
if I'm right, I believe he took the ship.
Speaker 6 (06:01):
He did take the ship.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
He beat me in the semi finals with no fab
to support his ailing bench and just crushed.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
And speaking of IDP, Steve Brent in the chat said,
what do you think about Jack Campbell? And I'm also
interested because I made a trade during the draft for
Jack Campbell because I like the guy. But I want
to hear your take. Where where does he line up
in your rights?
Speaker 6 (06:25):
For DYP.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
He's slowly moving up.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Obviously, I expected a little bit more last season. I
wasn't sure what Detroit was going to do with him.
But I do think this is going to be the
season he gets really heavily involved. He showed a lot
of flashes last season, and you know, for me, I
think Detroit kind of has to figure out how to
put him on the field.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
We talked about earlier off the show.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
You know, we talked about blindbackers that have just been
those go getters and all of a sudden they get
to really shine and they become the starters. And I
think that's where Jack is going to be at. I
think this is going to be finally his year. I've
traded from drafted him heavily in my rookie drafts in Dynasty.
I love where he landed. And that's a team that
was ailing from injuries last season. So we'll see how
(07:09):
it plays out because they're gonna be a lot healthier.
But I like Jack Campbell a lot.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Love it I have.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
I have a ton of shares of them.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
I think he could be really good as well.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I mean I paid for him in our bourbon league,
so we'll see, right, But tonight we are talking about
dynasty contenders. This show is specifically about the win now,
which is funny because we got Debbie in the house. Uh,
you know who's not gonna want to trade away those
rookie picks, right because he's got his guys.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
He's been watching for four years.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
But I'm interested to see the takes, right, So We're
gonna start kind of in in the beginning here with
some trade targets. So these are the guys, like if
maybe they high upside, maybe the cost is cheap, I know.
Earlier mentioned in the chat was James Connor. James Connor
has always had this like nagging thing that follows him
(08:05):
where he's injury prone, or he's not gonna make it
through a full season, or he is beyond his time,
like it's time to move on from James Connor. But
somehow every year he continues to plug along and be effective.
And if you had him last year, you enjoyed a
lot of twenty plus point games, right, And the reality
(08:26):
is he's cheap, still cheap, and always will be cheap,
you know. So like that's a good call on a
potential buy. But we're gonna get into tonight. You know,
we got these guys in the house. They're gonna give
you their top guys that maybe you can find at
a discount that can win you a championship. So Dustin,
start us off with your like with with number one
(08:49):
for you, who's somebody or a target for you, and
maybe even what you might be willing to pay for
this type of player going into the season if you're
trying to win now.
Speaker 7 (09:01):
Yeah, totally. So the first guy that I wanted to
talk about tonight is the dynasty of running back that
nobody wants to believe in, and I'm talking about Cuba Hubbard. Now,
Cuba Hubbard, going back to his college days, he's always
been underrated. Back in twenty nineteenyeth Oklahoma State, he actually
rushed for over two thousand yards and like twenty one touchdowns.
Despite that production, though, we had questions about his running style,
(09:26):
the lack of elite burst, and he actually slid in
the draft further than we thought and he got that
day through draft capital. But last year he finally got
like a legitimate opportunity to lead a backfield and he
actually delivered under the head coach Dave Canalis. He got
to be that lead back in a system that's pretty
consistently created efficient rushing lanes. It's a system that leans
(09:49):
heavily on those outside zone concepts, the play action threats,
the real commitment to the run game. I remember Dave
Canalis when he took the job, he said, you'll find
out how stubborn I could be what it to running
the ball. So, in other words, Cuba Hubbury got that
Fantasy gold where he earned the workhorse role. To me,
Tuba didn't just flash because he closed this season as
(10:12):
the RB eleven. Over the final seven weeks. He actually
led the NFL with one hundred and thirty four carries
in that span, and he racked up nearly twelve hundred
yards and like ten touchdowns I believe, yes, ten touchdowns.
So but when you look at Fantasy CALC, when you
look at KTC, he's ranked as RB twenty two and
RB twenty one, well behind some other backs with less
(10:33):
secure roles and even less efficient production. So from a
scouting lens, when I look at it, when I put
on that All twenty two tape, I'm seeing a guy
who He may not win with suddenness, but he thrives
on decisiveness and vision. And we all know in those
outside zone run schemes, you have to have that decisiveness
and vision where you're pushing the leverage, you see the
linebackers bearing down, you're gonna make your cut and run
(10:54):
up hill. So he just thrives in this system. He's
he's not like a big time tackle breaker like, but
he does always get the some pretty good yards after contact.
I have right here. Pfs PFF had him at three
point five yards after contact per attempt. That was good
for third among running backs who qualified in twenty twenty four.
(11:14):
And I mean, let's be real. He's got contract installation
now too, with the Panthers showing how much they believed
in him and inking him to that four year deal.
So to me, if you're fading him because he's almost
twenty seven, well then you're just doing dynasty wrong. The
game is won by exploiting those two to three year
production windows, not by hoarding up all these picks who's
(11:34):
never even going to start a or crack a starting lineup.
To me, Hubbard, he's got a proven roll, right, He's
in a productive system. He's got the secure contract and
he's got a track record of durability. So you're getting
a starting running back at mid RB three prices. I
just went out and paid for him in a league.
I put my money where my mouth is and I
(11:55):
got him for the two twelve. Oh god, Yeah, that's odd.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
No, Like, I know, like that's crazy like that that
I would do that twice.
Speaker 6 (12:06):
I would give two to twelves, Like, let's to me.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Look, I love.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
I love what you're saying that. The reality is, you know,
they showed that they've got confidence, right, Like when you
let Miles Sanders go, you know Jonathan Brooks is going
to be back for the season and they're saying, hey,
we're good, we're good, we're not pressed, we're good. Let
you know that the confidence is there. So you saw
the production, right, and if they're leaving that, if they're
(12:34):
leaving that backfield to him essentially, then they believe. And
so in a win now situation, that's still not a player.
Though you you mentioned his age, I don't think he's
viewed as somebody that's old, right, So, like I think
that the value is there, and so you know, you
could probably get him for cheap because people try to
sell him. Oh he's maybe uh one one off, but
(12:55):
you know he could definitely when you the he could
definitely be a stud running back spot for you. We
got a big draft energy and Hubbard is a Canadian treasure.
You know. Appreciate that. I'm gonna get up here real
quick and hit this and we're gonna continue the conversation.
Uh my mind is weapons sleeves in house. What's up? Boys?
(13:17):
Appreciate you tuning in and Dougie Fresh. Look, anytime you
drop a super chat, we are gonna prioritize your question. Okay,
we are gonna make the week it's yours immediately, So
appreciate you much love. Would you send a twenty seven
first for Godwin? I'm gonna tell you for me, that
answer is no, even in a win now situation. I
(13:41):
don't want to give up that kind of draft capital
for Godwin because I don't think Godwin is the answer.
I don't even know if Godwin's gonna be back fully
healthy towards the beginning of the season. And even then
we now have a top drafted rookie, we still have
Mike Like, I'm just not willing to pay that much,
(14:03):
And I don't think this is a win now move.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Like a good win now move.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Is taking a underprice, like somebody that's priced low because
of their age, like a DeAndre Hopkins, right, Like Hopkins
is of no value. Sometimes he's on the waivers right now.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
But he's literally you know, he's in.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Baltimore and he's looked at a at A as a
top potential receiver in that offense, and you could get
them for nothing.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
You may pick them up on waivers.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
To me, in a win now situation, I'm not just
I'm not trying to give up my assets for maybe's.
I want sure things and I want to try to
target people that maybe don't cost me an arm and
a leg to get because of what they can provide.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Well, I think there's two things Tyler right, and Aaron
said this in the chat. Already the twenty twenty seven
class for wide receivers. To buy a twenty nine year
old wide receiver is coming off of a major injury.
You might as well just wait if you if you say, hey,
I think Godwin's in be good, don't pay the price now.
Those kind of entries are nonlinear. It's gonna take him
(15:05):
a while. To get up to speed. You're basically paying
in basketball short optimism right now that he looks good
in whatever it is that he's doing in shorts. The
season is gonna start, he's not gonna be playing. That
price is gonna plummet, Like Guka is probably gonna do
well because he was a first round pick for a reason,
and then you don't have to pay that. But there's
there's no way that you should be giving that that
(15:27):
late of a pick, like even though it's a couple
of years out, it's not worth it, like he may
give you this year.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
It's it's it's silly.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Have you seen the potential twenty seven class mad scientist says, no,
don't do that deal and big draft energy. That's why
ag Muka is a smash pick. Tyler bringing home brother. Yeah,
And that's where even when we get down here and
Tyler Sperry's saying, you know, thoughts about Godwin in redraft
when he's healthy, he's been a top like twelve, I'm
(15:58):
not buying god in redraft at his ADP. Like we're
still living in this realm, like he's healthy right now,
Like he didn't just come off a huge injury.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
You know and like though Baker and like we.
Speaker 8 (16:13):
Don't have a brand new offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay,
Like we don't know, So I'm not gonna spin high
capital on a player coming off injury.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
We don't know what their usage is gonna be. Like
and they drafted a top tier rookie wide receiver to
essentially be relevant, right, Like, we're not gonna We're not
gonna waste there. So like I'm not I says, I
have never been high on Godwin. I'm definitely not buying
(16:44):
them this year because somehow that ADP is still sticking
high like he is, like he's healthy, and he's been
a top twelve or top twenty wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
For the last two seasons.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
So and just to give some context to eighty, so
right now on Underdog, he is currently wide receiver thirty five.
That like range of receivers right there, Jordan Addison, Romadinze,
who's been like the talk of all summer wide receiver talk,
Chris Olave, Juan Jennings, Deebo, Samuel Jerry Judy.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Yeah, and and and even Matt Sions said Temp Bay
used the first elite wide slot used a first in
an elite slot wide receiver. That should tell you all
you need to know about the Bucks feelings regarding Godwin
and that is true. Draft capital carries you know and
and appreciate everybody jumping in the chat drop your win
(17:40):
now questions. Uh, if you have him, so I'm gonna
go to you, Steve real quick, who who tops the
list as like a target an undervalued player that you're
running after? And and real quick, Uh, just a shout
out to you. Two twelve for Cuba is criminal? So
good job?
Speaker 6 (18:00):
Yeah, right now, Like.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
It's crazy, Steve, Who's Who's somebody you're gonna go after
this year?
Speaker 3 (18:07):
I'll keep it in the running back spot.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
I've got a couple of players, but I'll stick with
the running back Derrick Henry. I'm not sure where I
get it.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
He's thirty one.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
I understand his value is just solely based off of
his age. So I get it in a dynasty aspect, right,
But I played dynasty football for the strategy. But I
also play to win, and I think so many people
forget about the winning aspect. They're so worried about picks
and youth that they're never in that win now situation.
I want to win every single year. So with that said,
(18:40):
Derrick Henry is a person I'm going after. Now, think
about this, So the last few years, I mean he's
what RB four last year he is in an offense
that Yeah, he's still got plenty of touches. You still
got to deal with Lamar Jackson. You don't know, like
who's actually going to get to the ball in the
end zone. Right, he still is very effective. He's double
digit touched every single year. He had one year where
(19:02):
he was not healthy and it's been a few years
since that has happened. And again, I get his physicality.
His whole game is based off of his big size.
I don't think that's going away. He was never the
speediest back, right, That's not something that he has to
be concerned with with him. I do think I'm a
little crazy when it comes to Derrick Henry though. Right now,
(19:23):
I think a lot of people ranking him as far
as dynasty in the mid fifteen to seventeen range.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Right.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
So for me, at that price point, I'm trading a
first if needed. You know, if I'm really desperate I
need a stud running back, that's a possibility in my eyes.
But I'm actually going to trade another running back I'll
trade again.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
I'm trying to win now.
Speaker 4 (19:44):
I'm trading at Jonathan Taylor or Kyra Williams for him
and seeing where I can go from that. Jonathan Taylor
is great, but again a lot of injuries, his youth,
a few years younger. Some people may go after that
because of the age and his effectiveness last season. And
then Kyle Williams, as much of a stud he has been,
the fact that they haven't signed any extension yet, I
(20:05):
don't know if the Rams are even going to keep him.
McVeigh is not loyal to his running backs per se.
I could see them just slashing Kyle Williams, so if
I can get rid of him. I know he's younger
for Derek Henry, who I know, just sign an extension
for the Ravens. I'm taking that all day.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
You know, it's interesting, and you know, I don't hate
to take the Kiren Williams part is is a little
bit difficult for me to swallow. But it's strong, like
I think that that's when you believe.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
In a player.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
But here here's the thing, uh, and I'm just gonna
I want to talk about this a long but Derrick Henry,
I believe will still be successful for at least two
more years. And the main reason behind that is that
offensive scheme we've seen traditionally in Baltimore. And I've said
this on several shows, it doesn't matter who's running the football.
(20:57):
It can be Keaton Mitchell, it can be Justice Hill,
it can be JK. Dobbins on a bum leg, it
can be whoever. And they're gonna average over five to
six yards per carry every single time. And it's because
you can't play defense against Baltimore and not watch for
Lamar Jackson, which obviously creates space. And when you have
(21:19):
somebody like Derrick Henry running right, you're not gonna be
able to play both because you can't arm tackle Derrick
Henry right. You've got to choose one or the other.
And so that obviously opens lanes. And Derrick Henry is
a straight line guy, like he is not your side,
and he knows that.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
He runs straight.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
He gets out there in space and he goes. He's
got a mean stiff arm, so in that he doesn't
have to be special, right like as far as like
this crazy agility or able to move or tearing up
his he's not moving laterally a ton, so he's not
tearing up his knees, right, he's straight lined. And so,
you know, people get mixed up in the age dynamic
(21:57):
or that, but even James Connor, any any running back
that you put in an offense with a quarterback that
has strong running potential, even like a Kyler Murray, James
Connor is still significantly efficient because you have to play
the quarterback honest, right, And so I actually like to
target running backs in those schemes because I know they're
(22:18):
gonna get holes. I know they're gonna get open. And
so Derrick Henry, I mean he obviously I've seen him
traded for a second. I've seen him traded for like
a young I've seen you know, I would give Cuba
for Derrick Henry. You know, you may call me crazy Dustin,
but I would do it, you know, because he's gonna
be what we want him to be. And I see you,
(22:39):
Joe Grivis in your teeth. That's okay, I'll take it.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
It's Derrick Henry in an offense like And here's the
thing about Derrick Henry too, and this separates him a
little bit from everybody else. And Steve, I know I'm
all over your guy right now, but I love to
take Derrick Henry spends an unsurmount h amount of money
and in keeping himself healthy and keeping his body tight,
(23:06):
like he invests in himself. He trains like he's freaking
twenty two years old, and he busts his butt. He's
not taking days off, he's not letting his muscles get weak.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
So I and.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Even it's in the Dougie Fresh in the chat, there
is agree he says, Henry takes care of his body
better than anyone.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Well, Joe, do we need to go there.
Speaker 7 (23:35):
To stand up and show Relly Like, let's to Derrick Henry.
Speaker 6 (23:41):
I don't think without anything, and he's doing with chains.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
On love to take you know, so Big Draft Energy says, So,
how do you feel about Brice Hall? And this is
a good question because the Jets like give you this,
like this idea that maybe they're not that invested, right, Like,
maybe they're not that Maybe you know, Isaiah Isaia Davis
is the dude who knows, Like do you see all
(24:07):
these narratives all the time? So on Breese in a win? Now,
you know, is he somebody you're targeting? And what does
that cost look like? Joe.
Speaker 6 (24:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (24:18):
So Breeshall has two outcomes that we're looking at right now. One,
he stays in New York. Justin Fields is either gonna
throw it to Garrett Wilson or he's gonna dump it off.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
To Breese Hall.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
Breeshall could catch a hundred passes this year and it
wouldn't be the craziest thing ever that's gonna happen because
Fields he plays with the Nintendo controller. He has two
buttons on it, and he's thrown to one of those
two buttons, and we know what those two buttons are.
I don't care about the tight end that they drafted.
I don't care about Alan Lazar.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Beat your mouth, you watch your mouth on Merson Taylor, Sir.
Speaker 5 (24:48):
It's gonna be Bresall. It's gonna be Garrett Wilson. And
he was top pick last year. And that wasn't just
out of a flop. That wasn't for an accident. Scenario two,
he gets traded to a better team and he doesn't
have to play for the dysfunctional Jets anymore. So to me,
this is the cheapest that you're going to get. I
don't think he's to the level of talent that Marv
(25:08):
Harrison is. But this is the cheapest that you're gonna
get an elite player in a bi low window right now.
For bris Also, I think you have to jump all
over it.
Speaker 7 (25:15):
If you can't, yeah, exactly, just just to piggyback off
that real quick, Joe. It's that's a situation where you
bet on the talent, Like the situation isn't always going
to be the same. And this is a guy that's
already proven that he can catch upwards to over eighty
balls in a season. Those are the high value targets
that these running backs are going to get. And so
(25:35):
if I have an opportunity to get bree as a contender,
I'm all over it because either he's going to produce
in this system because much like you talked about with
the Ravens and Lamar Jackson, that running quarterback you can't
bear down and focus on the running back because you
still have that quarterback option running outside. Then much of
the same is going to be now here in New
York with justin fields leading that often. So I mean,
(25:58):
if Breeze is down suddenly in the community, which I
haven't really seen him go down, that much. But if
there's a by window here, like you said, Joe, and
it's at his cheapest, I'm all over that. I mean,
why wouldn't you. The talent's still there, and they're moving
away from Nathaniel Hackett and I saw something where that
zone concept scheme that he ran Breece Hall was getting
(26:19):
three point seven eight yards per carry and they're going
to move back to more of the power gap scheme
where he was averaging four point seven nine yards per carry.
So just something to think about, going back to a
different type of running concept that actually fits his skill set.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Love it and we're gonna try the chat is pop.
Appreciate all y'all. Make sure you hit the like button,
make sure you hit the subscribe God dev and the
chat breeze and big draft energy.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Tyler's locked in today. Where's the whiskey?
Speaker 2 (26:48):
You know, typically it's a whiskey night tonight. My wife
decided that it was marguerite tonight, so the ice is jingling.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
I was about to say, you better not blame that
perfect queen for you to have a whiskey in him, Tyler.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
My wife is amazing. Steve, Steve real quick and just
hit us real quick. So we can get some of
these other questions. No cat Max said, what is a
fair offer for Breese?
Speaker 7 (27:17):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (27:18):
I mean, if you're talking draft, I'm I'm always try
to go draft picks if possible, because everyone, especially when
everyone's drafting rookies now. For example, like if I've got
anywhere from game depending on where super flextion up, if
I'm here anywhere from one six to the one O nine,
I think.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
That's a fair price for Breece.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Think about the running backs that are getting drafted right
now in that position, and I still think Briest is
more talented and in a better position like you see
you know, obviously Hampton in that range, you know, Henderson
for for Patriots or in that range.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
And I'd rather have breezs Hall.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
So if if I'm in the middle of a rookie
draft right now and you've got people who are really
trying to jump, I think it's always funny when you're
in the middle of a rookie draft, that's the best
time to trade picks because people are antsy, they want
a draft.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
They just all the rush of drafting.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
And if I can get a player like bris All
and I'm trading the one of six. I'm taking it
every time, and like, you know, I get it. We're
we're uncertain because you've got Aaron Glenn now in New York.
He's made some comments about a three headed, you know, backfield,
and no one knows what it's gonna look like. Brice
is the best back in that backfield, it's without doubt.
And then you add justin fields like we've talked about
(28:31):
with Derek Ken, You've got a rushing ability at the
quarterback position and only opens up lanes for Breese. So
I'm yeah, anywhere from that mid to late range in
the first round, I'm going for for brisall every time.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
I like that. The only like when you get into
that range is a couple guys like it's it's hard
for me to take bris over Travion, It's hard for
me to take bris over Judkins.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
Now, Judkins a little bit different. I have a lot
of belief in him.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
But I mean, that's that's the I think that's fair.
But the difference is I think that you can actually
get Breeese for later. I think that while you're willing
to give the five or the six or the seven,
I think during the draft especially, you're getting breeze for
the one to twelve. You're getting breeze for maybe the
two to two, right, like if we get down to
(29:21):
brass tax because it is a very uncertain narrative and
the reality is you.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Could probably get them.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
So what's fair Probably the one seven, you know, one
eight somewhere in there. But we're here to win, and
the reality is I think that you can maybe pay
a little bit less and come out on top.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
I love that hit.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Some of these chats say Fields has two buttons, gives his.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Talent too much credit. Agree with that.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Let's see here King Henry over Cuba all day. Appreciate
that it says sitting breeese Davis is the kind of
move that gets coach fired.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Not happening.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
I agree, Dustin getting a little love, big draft. Interesting
this Dustin guy, great fixed response, clear, concise, sharp. I
look forward to supporting his future content. You'll be able
to catch them on the Fantasy Sports Advice Network Debbie
Dojo Show.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
So you know, you came to me Disco and you
were like.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Hey, who's some of these guys you know, maybe out
of Arkansas that I should be looking for. And I
gave you them and we saw it in the draft,
So Dustin is that guy. He is watching these guys
from the time they come in as a freshman, as
a three star, four star recruit and giving you take.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
So definitely some good content there to follow.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
He said, I'm only taking a top three T pick
over Breese and Superflex, gent Hampton and Ward and that's it.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Love it.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Let's see here, let's see I'm on Cell Breeze. One
hundred percent of his value will be less next year,
you know.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
And and that's great. See, my mind is a weapon.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
You're the guy that I'm coming to And I'm like, hey, man,
you know, you know, I just don't know who.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Man, you know you really want, uh this guy?
Speaker 2 (31:14):
You want Trey Harris here at the at the one
twelve or at the two two, and I will take
bris I need a running back. I know he's uncertain
what's gonna happen with him, but you know, I guess
I'll take Brie off your hands.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Your career makes so much sense, bromuse.
Speaker 7 (31:32):
Let me take him off your hands.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
You know.
Speaker 7 (31:36):
But this is the time of the year where every
rookie is gonna beat out every every starter on the team,
right you know you got the camp clips Camp Clip
season where you know they're they're running routes against Aaron
Shorts and we're just like, look at that and rather
red a ladder drill perfectly like take him? Who needs
(31:56):
Jamar Chase?
Speaker 5 (31:57):
Right, he doesn't have working hands, he can catch a
football because he took off for the COVID year.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Oh what a win. That narrative was, car salesman pitch
right there. Look, let me tell you this. If you
want to win your league, okay, do more listening than
you do talking. Okay, A A person will tell you
who they want and and they will tell you who
they're low on if you let them offer you, and
(32:24):
many a times that's where you win. Right, Like my
conversation is, hey, I might be interested in this guy,
who are you interested in? On my team? And then
all of a sudden they like somebody that I am
out on. I'm like, oh my gosh, gold boom boom,
and I'm getting got it.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
I'm getting I'm getting breezed for Chris.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Godwin and uh and a third round pick and you know,
like who knows, but you know, like not that you
just it's not about taking advantage of people or anything
like that. But it is about knowing the person that
you're trading with. And there's a ton of people like
you you talk to, Like there was a guy in
the league that that decided he was like, you know what,
(33:06):
I'm out, I'm not gonna beat this team, so I'm
gonna sell all my studs.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
I'm gonna sell my studs.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
And he he traded Travis Etn and Kyle Pitts for
a late first round pick because he's rebuilding. And you know,
you may go, Okay, that's that's fine. That's fine because
you may be on the outs of those, but that's
that's two solid players for really, like you think about that,
(33:36):
like would you trade would you trade Trey Harris for
both Etn and Pitts? You know, like that's that's the
that's the take there, right, or he traded what was
it was like a first round pick and he got
no he he got a first round pick and like
Dalton Kinkaid and like Jalen Cocher and a bunch of
(33:59):
like nobody's It was like one of those trades where
they just plastered it full of players that they didn't
want and somehow it looked better than it was.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
And in that was that trade he gave away.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
It was stupid.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Hold on, I'm gonna pull this up because.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
This does happen, like this is an actual thing that
you have to watch out for when somebody starts selling
these players.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
Hold on, it's right up here. It was. Yeah, so
he traded away.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Listen to this. He traded doal Kin Ki, Jalen Cocher,
Johan Dots and Christian Watson Kendre Miller and a first
next year and a fourth next year for Breis Hall
and Drake London.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Right, and it's like, what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (34:49):
So anyways, I digress. I don't know what this means.
It's Tyler Jewish. I'm not.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
I'm blonde hair and blue eyed.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
But but maybe he's saying I'm cheap.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Maybe that's.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
Anyway back back to our our our targets, uh, you know,
and and Dustin, I'm gonna lean on you and Steve, Steve,
who is your who's the second? I really like the
Derrick Henry take. Who's somebody else that you're you're targeting? Uh?
Speaker 1 (35:28):
In a win?
Speaker 4 (35:29):
Now, this one's gonna be a maybe not everyone's gonna
be on the same page with me on this one.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
But I have Jerry Judy.
Speaker 4 (35:36):
Kind of that middle of the range age at twenty
six finally showed up last season, right, and it's wild
wide receiver twelve on a on an interesting quarterback situation
like team with the Cleveland Browns, who are still dealing
with it. Right, we don't know who is absolutely playing quarterback,
but I will say that's him. Leaving Denver to Cleveland
(35:57):
actually made a big difference for him. They actually utilized him,
They actually realized he's actually a decently talented wide receiver.
The reason I bring him up is because he is
going to be a cheap option, right.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
You know, obviously you've got to be concerned with the
quarterback play.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
You don't know if it's Flacker, you don't know if
it's you know, Shadeer, you don't know if it's Watson
if he ever comes back. I mean, no one knows
what it's gonna be like. Even with the quarterback play
last season, Finishing wide receiver twelve is a big deal.
He looks great in OTA's and I know he's in shorts,
but he looks really good in this offense. He looked comfortable,
and I think again his price, I think that's it's
(36:34):
gonna be really really cheap to get after. I mean,
you get him a mid second, late second pick for him.
I would even this is gonna be a hot take.
I would even consider getting rid of Chris a Lave
for Jay Judy and maybe something else, you know, a
third or something. I'm not the biggest Cristal Lave fan,
and I think he's been over hyped, and I think
Judy's talent is still there, being only a couple of
(36:56):
years older than him.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
You know, it's interestingly Judy because the first year outside
of Denver, Judy finishes his wide receiver twelve, So it
is a huge question mark as to what that looks like.
But the funny thing is, as you said, Jerry Judy,
I'm gonna throw big draft Energy's comment Jerry ju d
obviously making a pun on the last conversation. But as
(37:22):
soon as you said, Jerry Judy, both Dustin and Joe
unintentionally both put their heads over their face, like.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Ooh, I don't know, Dustin, do you agree? Are you
out on Judy? Is that too much? Are you in?
Speaker 2 (37:40):
No?
Speaker 7 (37:41):
I mean, Judy is a tremendous talent coming out of Alabama.
I was. I was very excited as a Broncos fan
when we drafted him. Unfortunately, I mean, he couldn't stay
healthy in Denver as well, probably not probably definitely definitely
didn't have the best quarterback play either offensive systems that
we ran, between the things you hacket, it just wasn't
(38:02):
conducive for success. So I am happy for him to
find the success there in Cleveland. It's just it's a
tough situation, and it's one that you talked about Steve.
Outside of the quarterback situation, it's who's going to be
throwing him the ball. I believe it's going to be
Joe Flacco, and if it's If it is Joe Flacco,
well then that's a good news for Jerry Judy. If
it's Shador Sanders a rookie, not so confident. If it's
(38:23):
Dylan Gabriel, I'm definitely not confident. So it's it's just
those questions outside of him. But in a vacuum betting
on the talent, I'm all there for Judy and I
actually really do like the call why receiver twelve, and
we know he's talented, so I mean, dependent on what
you can get for him, I'm all for it. Have
any of you guys seen Judy moved into any of
(38:43):
your leagues. I have no idea what his market value is.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
I got off for a twelve to twelve.
Speaker 7 (38:49):
That's like the magic the magic pick.
Speaker 5 (38:52):
Right, Like anything over two six this year, I would
trade anything for.
Speaker 6 (38:57):
You don't care about the rest of the draft.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
I traded away Judy, so I'm a little bit on
the other side, but I traded. I traded Chase Brown,
Jerry Judy, and JK. Dobbins for Kenneth Walker, Trey Benson,
and Brian Thomas Jr.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
That's great, Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
It was more of the Chase Brown take, like he's
really high on Chase Brown, believes Chase Brown could be
a top five running back this season, which you know
we'll see. But you know, I was happy to get Benson.
I do think that maybe maybe not maybe this year
it's more of a split, but I think next year
he could take that backfield. And of course I wanted
(39:45):
Brian Thomas Junior. And I'm not out on Kenneth Walker either.
Kenneth Walker is another cheap buy now target, like you
can get him, and you could probably get him for
I mean, you can definitely get him for a less
than you know, you know player or pick like I mean,
I've seen Kenneth Walker go for a late second and
with this draft class, I would trade that all all day.
(40:09):
Andrea saying I traded a lave for Caleb Johnson. I
like that. Uh big drags energy asked? Is a lave
over hyped? Joe?
Speaker 1 (40:19):
Are you in? Is a lave overhyped?
Speaker 2 (40:21):
I mean, I do think there's a bit of a
product of a situation.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
But outside do.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
You think the talent is there for him to be
a real asset for somebody?
Speaker 9 (40:32):
Or is it?
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Are we now at like it?
Speaker 2 (40:35):
And I say this, it really goes both ways. Is
a lave like a cheap buy now?
Speaker 7 (40:40):
Right?
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Because this is the essentially the consensus takes He's trash ish,
even though I don't think Caleb Johnson's trash but you
get what I'm saying, Like, the value is obviously significantly fallen,
so is he a bye now?
Speaker 5 (40:55):
I think the big thing with the Lave is people
are so worried about the health aspect.
Speaker 6 (40:59):
He really had two good years and then didn't do
a whole lot.
Speaker 5 (41:02):
Last year's rookie year had seventy two receptions one thy
forty two yards four tds. Sophomore season eighty seven won
eleven twenty three five tds. So last year he kind
of had this injury. He was the offensive Rookie of
the Year in twenty twenty two, or at least you
got votes for it, and then he got four votes,
and so it's just like, for me, I'm not worried
(41:24):
about the concussion thing. I get that that could be
something that's out there, but that's a risk for anybody.
It's not like a, oh, you get a ten concussion
pass and you're good. You can have one bad hit
and be done.
Speaker 6 (41:34):
For your career.
Speaker 5 (41:35):
You could get twenty concussions and it doesn't matter, you know.
So for me, it's like the price is interesting. I
think it continues to go down. But I do think
that he's a bye. He's still very young. He's only
twenty four years old. It's not like he's like this
twenty seven year old dude. But I get the move
off of him because Judy isn't that old either, So
(41:55):
it's not like you're gonna get one season out of
Judy and he's done. So if you have that reservation,
I understand.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
I don't carry that.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
Love it Uh, BTJ worth more than Judy Ann Brown.
I agree. I you know, I worked my deal, Okay,
I found the PD. He wasn't high on Benson, he
wasn't high on Walker. He was he was high on BTJ.
I got those his throw ins at a Judy with
(42:26):
Chase Brown, and we call it today. I'm always in
for a good deal. Rashid Shaheed is a menace. Okay,
hen me go. What is the value of Courtland Sutton?
Joe So, this is direct that George. I have a
buddy who asked me if Sutton is worth a twenty seven.
First I said, heck no, because we're on the radio.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
What's your opinion, Joe.
Speaker 5 (42:48):
So, Cortland Sutton, Courtland Sutton. He is going to turn
thirty this year. I have a huge version to wide
receivers that are turning thirty. Yes, he had a great
season last year that caught everybody by surprise. But for me,
that's not a play that I'm going to move. If
I am gonna look at Sutton, I'm probably looking at
like a lesser draft pick in the middle of the season,
(43:10):
maybe a second something like that. I don't think Courtland
Sutton necessarily pushes it over the hump. For me, if like,
if I'm going to win, it's not gonna be court
In Sutlon. If I'm gonna pay up, I'm gonna go
for somebody like Davonte Adams, who's in an elite offense,
is still an elite wide receiver and even though he
is a little older, he's gonna have a.
Speaker 6 (43:25):
Cheaper perception because he's south of thirty.
Speaker 5 (43:28):
But for me, Courtland Sutton twenty twenty seven first, it's
a hard pass.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
Here's the deal, Like that cost is crazy, Like let's
be real and Steve, I'm sure you can second this.
There's no nobody is asking for a twenty seven first
for Courtland Sutton unless they're crazy, Like you're getting Courtland
Sutton for way cheaper and bo Nicks is gonna feed him.
And people aren't even like it's like they're asleep at
(43:54):
the wheel and have no idea, Like you can get
Courtland Sutton, no lie, for probably a third round or
in a rookie draft like that. Yeah, like this year
you could you could easily trade a third round or
pick third round pick for Courtland Sutton. And it's just
like that surround. It's like sometimes players, right, despite what
(44:16):
they do, they just fall. It's like a name thing.
They just fall into this realm of like, oh it's
it's Courtland Sutton. Like if I try to trade away
Courtland Sutton right now, I could put him on the
trade block and I'm not gonna get anything. I'm gonna
get some offers, like they're gonna send me a fourth
round pick, the three twelve.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
They're gonna send.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
Me joke offers for Courtland Sutton. So the reality is
you flip that and you can buy him for pennies
for Nichols, right, and so to me, especially like Nick
Show last year, he's gonna air the football out like
that's another win. Now buy target and ball. I freaking
(45:01):
love him because he could go off any given week
and he is wide receiver one. There love it. Let's
see here. Yeah, let's see in on sudden and let's
see but not a first. I agree, you don't have
to pay a first. Denver's wide receiver two is Pat Bryant.
(45:22):
You know that spot's open, So it's we'll see. Although
in basketball, I am grabbing some memes.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Uh, let's see here.
Speaker 7 (45:33):
Yeah, I was gonna say that. That's the thing with
Courtland Sutton is he's still gonna be the wide receiver
one in our offense this year, but there is so
much more added target competition. You said it, Joe Evan Ingram,
that's gonna be our guy, that's that's attacking over the
middle of the field. And the thing that bo Nick
showed as a rookie was that he's able to actually
layer those throws over the middle of the field over
(45:54):
those linebackers. But we didn't have the personnel to really
run that, so a lot of our offense was funneled
through Courtland Sutton on the outside. Towards the end of
the season, you started to see Marvin Mims become that
vertical threat because they kept be implementing that. We could
have decided if we wanted Troy Franklin or if we're
gonna run Marvin Mims in there. And so I think
now that we have those added roles defined and the
(46:15):
extra competition, you might see a slight decrease in Courtland
Sutton's production, but he is one of those guys whose
production is always going to outweigh his artificial value. In Dynasty,
Like you said, Tyler, you can put him on the
trade block, and you're not gonna get any offers. So
if I have Courtland Sutton, I'm probably just holding on
to him as a win now piece. He's a great
depth option that you have. If you're looking to sell him,
(46:37):
you're never gonna be able to get something that matches
that production that he's gonna give your dynasty rosters.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
Right Like, after this conversation, I'm gonna go in my
league just to test it. I'm gonna go and I'm
gonna offer a fourth round pick for Courtland Sutton.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
And then what's gonna happen?
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Because I take cast these things all the time being
in sales, They're gonna come back with a counter and
they're gonna say, I won't do the fourth, but I'll
do a third, and I'm gonna trade a late third
round pick for Courtland Sudden in like three leagues, Mark
my words, is gonna happen probably.
Speaker 5 (47:15):
To not And you're probably gonna make it sound like
you're doing them such a favor too.
Speaker 6 (47:20):
You make me so sick right now, that's part of it.
Speaker 5 (47:25):
Right Like in shorts, Brishard Smith clips and be like
this could be you, bro.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
But my brothers give me such a hard time because
I would be a hard selling my player. Like a
player gets drafted, they go to a spot, you know
they're going to be the starter. Like Devin Singletary goes
to the Giants and I'm like, bro, he's running back
one and they're like, yeah no, and I'm like.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
Cool, let me get to Higgins for him.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
Here you go, you know, like it's part of the game.
It's it's fun. I love trading, like trading is. It's
so much fun for me. But anyways, outside of the
car salesman stuff and me taking advantage of people, which
I apologize or forgive me for my transgressions, but what
(48:14):
about still to see Steep Sutton and a twenty six
second for a twenty six first, I mean it depends
on who's there, who you're targeting. If it's the early first,
sure I would do that. Well.
Speaker 5 (48:31):
If you're contending, though, assuming you're on theme with the show.
If you're contending and you're expecting to be at the
back half of the first and then you're getting a
worst team second, you're not really trading anything, right, Like.
Speaker 6 (48:46):
If that ends up being the two to one and
you give him the one twelve. You basically got a
free Courtland Son.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
Yeah, free Courtland Sutton. That's that's the price. Look, this
is when now dynasty football.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
Okay, get the people that are free that can win
you at d hob.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
Sudden, Nick Chubb if he signs anywhere, Like, these people
are free, they're in waivers right now. Like, who the
heck knows this? You gotta fantasy football, Okay, so we
gotta shift. We got like ten minutes left in the show, and.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
We gotta give. We gotta give the people the juice.
Speaker 2 (49:21):
Okay. So obviously we have assets, right like we have
we have assets in in in fantasy especially younger assets
or high you know, high quality players that we can move,
right Like this is where we get into the players
that you can move. So like, if I have somebody young,
right that's got a lot of hype, a lot of
(49:42):
potential that I can move in a win now situation
to get me somebody that can win me a championship.
Like let's say a Derrick Henry. Let's let's say a CMC.
Right that people are somehow getting low on I'm seeing
CMC going in the second round, which i I'm loving.
I'm like this year, I want to draft the back
(50:03):
of the first round so I can I can get
a top wide receiver and that I can follow up
in the second round and get CMC. Love it, you know,
like like these players that can win you championships, even
like George Kittle is falling back like you know, it's
it's crazy. So these players that can obviously win you
a championship in the immediate right, who are some of
(50:26):
these players that maybe have a lot of hype? And Dustin,
I'm gonna start with you. Somebody has a lot of
hype that you feel like you can trade for massive
value and maybe you don't even think that they're actually
gonna pan out right, like it's all hype, no no gain.
So you want to get the people that you know
are going to win you that big pot of money
(50:47):
in your league this year.
Speaker 7 (50:49):
Okay, I have a few options here, but based off
of that beautiful little soliloquy that you gave me there,
I'm gonna go with move going off Jackson Dart. All right,
moving off Jackson Dart. That's a guy that for my
people here in the chat that have been with me,
I've been pretty critical on Jackson Dart. So here's here's
(51:09):
the kind of move that can win competitive dynasty leagues,
flipping future high pieces or these unproven stashes like a
Jackson Dart for a known fantasy starter like Jared Goff. Now,
when I say Jared Goff, I know it's not sexy,
it's not Twitter bait, right, but it's sharp. Goff is
currently valued looking him up right now, he's valued just
(51:31):
above Jackson Dart on keep trade cut and in some
leagues you could probably get him straight up or with
like a quick little like third round throw in. To me,
that's that's wild inefficiency because Goff the last three seasons
has finished QB ten, QB seven and this last season
QB six, and he's he's been a stable and productive
(51:52):
quarterback too, with weekly QB one upside. People forget he's
still only thirty years old, and he has a total
command of Detroit offense even without Ben Johnson. People are
freaking out because Ben Johnson left, but Goff has been
in that system. He's a natural fit in that system,
and he's effectively become what you would call an extension
of that coaching staff. I think on the field, he
understands the timing, He understands rhythm and the spacing concepts
(52:16):
so deeply that the offensive coordinator change it doesn't concern me.
The structure and the core philosophy and Detroit remain intact. Now,
contrast that with Jackson Dart. Like I said, I was
critical of his offensive environment. I'd all miss, it's a
system that it doesn't ask much of the quarterback post
snap or pre snap. It's one that leans heavily on
those manufactured RPOs. Dart has tools and upside. Sure, I'm
(52:38):
not saying that, but he's entering the NFL as a
clear developmental quarterback, so that's great. He went to a
good situation where he could sit and learn. He's a
clipboard guide for at least a year and possibly longer.
So if you're rebuilding or you have time to wait,
Darth's he's an interesting, long, long term bet right like,
I have no problem with him in that situation. But
if you're in one now mode, which is the key,
(52:58):
he's just a luxury stef stash. He's not earning you
points goth is. That's my point with this, and this
is the exact kind of moment where you can capitalize
on those misaligned dynasty timelines. So if you're sitting on
Dart as a rookie pick or one of those roster stashes,
or even another similarly valued future bet, and you're a
contender that needs stability at QB two, this is the
(53:22):
move you don't. I can't stress this enough. You can't
fall in love with the unknown. Flip the narrative asset
for the one that's actually scaring points now to me, Tyler,
these are the micro edges that separate contenders from ptenders.
Because if God finishes as a top ten QB again,
no one's gonna remember that Dart looked good in preseason
(53:44):
or could take over in twenty twenty six. They're gonna
remember that you cashed in and you won.
Speaker 2 (53:50):
It's a fair take, and I appreciate you for putting
it on the edge of hot right, like I love
a good hot take, and like there's a lot of
high behind Jackson Dart look big draft energy, Dustin. I
won't be following your work anymore because of the darts,
Pander darts SPS gold.
Speaker 1 (54:08):
I know you guys.
Speaker 2 (54:09):
Saw all all across, Bradfors said, but Dark scored one
hundred on the SPS. This star predictor score created by
Brandy Baller's huge shout out to him that have yeah,
essentially created a measurement system for future production. And so
there's this idea that Dart is going to be a
(54:30):
future stud like for years and years, he's gonna be
a baller. But I get your take and the fact
that you're saying, hey, it's cool.
Speaker 1 (54:38):
I'm good with that.
Speaker 2 (54:40):
I'll trade a potential baller for an underrated baller now
to get me a championship right now.
Speaker 1 (54:50):
So I get that. I get that take. You know,
are Steve are you with him? Are you a sell
on Darter?
Speaker 2 (54:58):
Is Dart like a a hard stop for you?
Speaker 4 (55:02):
I have no urge to get Dart in any of
my rookie drafts. Stayed far away, all right. I don't
think Giants are going to even keep him on the team.
They're gonna draft a quarterback next year in the top
five anyways.
Speaker 3 (55:13):
So let's be.
Speaker 7 (55:13):
Real, coaching, GM Combo are going to be gone.
Speaker 2 (55:19):
It's getting out.
Speaker 6 (55:23):
I can't have that happen, So like, please, no, no,
I mean.
Speaker 7 (55:31):
Tests are great and all. I love I love the test,
but let's let's get on football on the football field.
Do real football stuff and see how you can process
when the blitz is coming. Because when Jackson Dark played Georgia,
probably the best defense that he would go against. When
they sent that blitz and they took away his first
primary read, he was lost. That's all I'm saying, and
that's what you're gonna see in the NFL. So not
(55:51):
saying that he can't do it, but if we're expecting
that guy to come in and be a baller right
off the rip, those are the type of people that
I don't want to say I'll take advantage, but I'm
to work a deal with you because this guy's never
thrown a pass in the NFL, he's never stepped on
the field and we're already crowning him because he's got
some r right Like, he's cool, he's got it, he's
got some arm talent. I'm not saying there's nothing there,
(56:12):
but those are the type of quarterbacks that I stay
away from. If you can't process the field post snap,
then you typically aren't gonna be able to make it
in the NFL.
Speaker 6 (56:21):
Look, so.
Speaker 2 (56:24):
You know, the thing that I like about it, right, Like,
the thing that I like about it is it's projected talent.
For undervalued talent, right like golf top ten fantasy quarterback,
right in an offense that they're using in it's proven,
it's there, right, So it's like, you hope that Dart
(56:45):
will be that, and you hope that you get that
out of Dart for the next ten years. But it's
still a question mark. So your your whole point is
why keep the question mark and not just take the guarantee.
But the reality is, let's just get down to brass
tacks on this is the fact that if you trade
(57:06):
Dart for golf, you are getting golf.
Speaker 1 (57:09):
And like with the hype being.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
Around rookie season, with what they're showing on film right
now with the SPS scoring, if you come to anybody
and you say, I'll give you Jackson Dart and I
asked for Jared Goff for for for golf Jared Goff,
They're gonna go, what else do you want with them,
Like they're gonna assume you want.
Speaker 6 (57:31):
You would never say that, Tyler, No, I would say that.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
Like if you came to me and like if you
were like, hey, I'll give you Dart for golf, I'd
be like, really, sure, let's do that.
Speaker 6 (57:42):
That's what I'm saying you wouldn't. You wouldn't say, oh,
well you need to get more now.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
No, no, but it's gonna happen. Like the reality is
you can go in and you can off Jackson Dart
right now for Jared Golf and probably get Jameson Williams
with them. You know, like it it that's that's the reality.
So I I I love it to be fair. Milik
Neighbors is his primary read. Yes, that is true, as
long as his toe injury does not linger.
Speaker 1 (58:09):
Golden is an early second brother.
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Let's see here now, he is not making the second
read on the blitz because he doesn't have the knowledge
or because he gets sacked behind. Look, let me tell
you something about Jackson Dark, and I like Jackson Dart.
I think Jackson Dark can be a good quarterback. I
think he landed in the best spot being able to
be behind Russell Wilson for a year like he needed
(58:33):
to be mentored. I believe he needs to be mentored.
But let's go back to you know, and I use
the draft day thing for a while, like you know,
comparison there the bo Callahan deal. When Jackson Dark gets
on tilt right, like you think about poker. When he
(58:54):
gets sacked a couple times, he loses himself, you know,
and he starts getting frated. He starts and that's that's normal.
That's normal for a young team. But when you go
to the Giants, that's gonna be a lot of your life, right,
Like a lot of your life is gonna be that
that getting hammered. And so you know, it really is
a good thing for him to have some time to
(59:17):
develop in that aspect of his game.
Speaker 6 (59:20):
Uh, you know.
Speaker 2 (59:21):
And and I think that he can be good if
he does, if he puts in the time and stuff
that he needs to. But he's also a very confident,
a very cocky individual, you know. So we'll see, right,
and and and that's the point Dustin's making is that
we'll see is I would rather take a guarantee over
a we'll see, right, You have all the hype on
(59:43):
a will see you want, that's fine, give me somebody
I know it's gonna perform. So we're gonna hit one
more sell person here before we sign off on the show. Uh, Steve,
give us somebody that is on your roster that you're
looking to move in a buy now situation. By the way,
We're going people on right now. Make sure you hit
(01:00:05):
the like button, make sure you hit the subscribe button.
You guys are all awesome. Thanks for tuning in the show.
Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
Hit at step.
Speaker 3 (01:00:10):
So I'm going to Ronz. I'm selling them, selling them now.
Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
So right, coming off a rookie year, you're in an
offense that still has DJ Moore.
Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
You got Luther Burden, who they.
Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
Just drafted, so obviously a lot of weapons. You got Colcomett,
You've got the new tight End. I mean, there's too
many weapons in this offense for I think that Dooonsa
are really any of them to really stand out. So
I'm taking the cell right now if I can. Being
that he's twenty three, he's still got the value in
his name, and I'm.
Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
Going for again.
Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
I'm winning now.
Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
I'm going for a player like Terry McLaurin. Plus give
me Terry scared, you know, scary Terry right now. With
Daniels was a huge, huge upgrade for him, right, People
forget that obviously. You know mclaurin's had some really good seasons,
but he's never had a season like he did until
he got a quarterback like Jaden Daniels. And now you're
going to year two, you add Deebo Samuel to add
(01:01:03):
a little bit more of a scare for defensive teams
to focus on. So I'm taking the veteran McLaurin, who
I know will at least be a top fifteen wide receiver,
where Dunza may still be in the twenty plus range
this upcoming season, and I still get a little bit
of something out of it.
Speaker 3 (01:01:18):
Right because I don't know if.
Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
I'm going straight Dunza from McLaurin, but if I can
get McLaurin in and say a second, I'm taking that
as of right now for winning. I'm absolutely taking that.
I'm still getting something in some value in the future too.
So I think Dounza is a good sell right now
because of his value is still at all time high.
Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
I I don't hate so dounsay is an example of
a good hype player, right Like, he's got a lot
of hype. It's his turn, it's he's gonna break out
this year with Kleb.
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
And you know.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
Sometimes you sell on narratives, right Like, sometimes you sell
on narratives, and I think that's what you're doing, and
I would I would definitely take a McLaurin.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
I like McLaurin. I love Jayden Daniels.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
If you can't if you can get Jayden and Daniels
in Dynasty, do it.
Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
It's a stud Joe, you got it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
You got a player that you're looking to sell right
now to uh to boost uh boost yourself. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:02:16):
So the player that came to mind to me was
Jordan Addison for similar reasons. I think that he is
the second option in Minnesota. But everybody's expecting JJ McCarthy
to just come in and just kind of like go crazy.
But if you look at draft capital right now, Justin
Jefferson is projected to be like wide receiver two in.
Speaker 6 (01:02:39):
Then you have.
Speaker 5 (01:02:40):
Addison, who's projected to be like wide receiver twenty four.
Then you have Hawkinson, who's projected to be tight end five.
JJ McCarthy is not supporting all of that, and Justin
Jefferson is not going anywhere on this team. So Addison's
gonna have to go somewhere else and establish something that's
(01:03:00):
that's years away. But you can get good value for him.
So it's not that I disliked the player at all.
It's just kind of an unfortunate situation for him, and
his value is going to decline when he doesn't perform
as much.
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
I don't I don't mind that. You know, I sold
JJ McCarthy this season. Did you see that deal in
the in the Bourbon League, Steve?
Speaker 3 (01:03:25):
I think I had seen that pop up recently.
Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
I made a bit.
Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
I may have been a little bit crazy on that one.
Let me see if I can roll up here to
the trade. Let me do this team while I'm looking
this up, let's see sell Bucky to someone like Ben
and Aaron Jones. What's the opinion on Aaron Jones this year, Steve.
Speaker 4 (01:03:53):
I'm not really sure because they got Jordan you know
Mason as well added to the roster, who obviously shined
really well. But again, you're going from an offense like
Kyle Shanahan to you know, go into a Kevin O'Connell offense.
Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
It's a little different.
Speaker 4 (01:04:07):
But I still think Aaron Jones's value is strong, at
least in the you know, receiving aspect, because that's what
he's always been really really great at. Again, I'm not
paying a lot if I'm going to go after him.
I still I actually like him as a really cheap option.
You're talking mid third to late third for a veteran
running back that might have a year or two who
(01:04:29):
has had some injury struggles. But again, Aaron Jones is
a player that can get you fifteen to twenty points.
Buddy also might get you nothing right like, so you've
got to understand he's not He's a good flex option
depending on how your roster is built out. But I
love him as a strong, solid RB two, kind of
like we talk about, you know, James Connor, who's gonna
(01:04:49):
win you some games late in the season, and he may,
you know, give you some headaches during the middle of
the season. But I like Aaron Jones is a really
cheap option. I actually was able to get Aaron Jones
a few times because I just believe need a running.
Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Back running backs.
Speaker 4 (01:05:03):
I got rid of a couple of young guys that
had a little bit of name behind him, plus a
third round pick, just to get a little bit of
a more veteran presence on my team to get more consistency.
I'm just curious what they're gonna do with Mason. That's
what I'm really unsure of.
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
So I found the trade. So the trade was JJ McCarthy,
will Levis twenty five tenth round pick and a twenty
five seventh round It's an IDP league, so there's more
rookie picks, and in that I got Russell Wilson and Tua,
(01:05:43):
Trey Benson, a twenty five first round pick which ended
up being Jackson Dart to pair with Russell Wilson, and
a twenty six first round pick. So essentially it was
pretty much you scrub all the other stuff to the side.
It was JJ McCarthy for two first Trey Benson, and
(01:06:05):
you know two in a super flex league. Russell and Tua,
so in a win now move, I got two quarterbacks
that could potentially be applicable right, two first round picks
to build on the future, and Trey Benson so for
a rookie that has not seen a full season, or
not a rookie anymore, but a player that hadn't seen
a full season yet. So we'll see how it pans out,
(01:06:29):
if JJ McCarthy is the truth or not. But I
will always trade a potential possibility for a sure thing, right.
So anyways, we are hitting the ten oh seven mark.
We appreciate all you for tuning in. We will hit Philip.
I will not leave without hitting your your question, was
(01:06:50):
that trade consensual? It was consensual. It was actually offered
to me. But you know, real quick, just let hit
the like button, hit the subscribe button. Everybody in this
room right now you can find on the Fantasy Sports
Advice Network FSA N dot com. We've got shows coming.
(01:07:12):
Hopefully you've enjoyed the show tonight. Philip Fry said, got
offered a twenty six first mid for my DK Metcalf,
DK Metcalf? Is it just dcaf DK? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:07:25):
Yeah, he's skinting like the team and settings and all
that stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
Twenty six first mid, first round for DK. I mean
I can already tell you I'm in on the mid
first for DK. I've never been a proponent of DK.
I think he's a big athlete with not incredible hands,
So I'm good there. I think there are people that
you can get that can be just as solid, I guess.
Speaker 5 (01:07:48):
But if this team is like a win now team,
so why are you trying to get assets right now?
Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
I don't think he needs DK like the mid first,
like he's trying to build. He's trying to build on
the back the end of a win now. So like
he's got BTJ AJB and Evans. That's all you know.
He's a sleeper. Worthy's a sleeper for for potential big,
big points. So DK's you can off DK he's not needed.
Speaker 5 (01:08:17):
Because yes, but like next year's draft is a good
QB draft and they don't need qbs. I would take
DK in a flex all day to not like to
be able to pick an extra player next year that
may not pan out.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
It's a mid first, so you're not in a we
don't know that.
Speaker 6 (01:08:34):
How can we say that right now? Right?
Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
But if it's theoretically a mid first, like in theory,
if it's a theoretically amid first, the reality is that
if it's a quarterback heavy draft and there's good quarterbacks,
they're all going to be gone in probably the one
through four, right. So if your quarterbacks get heavy prioritized
and he doesn't need a quarterback, that means that at
the five, six, seven, or eight, he's probably getting RB
(01:08:59):
one two or wide receiver one two in that draft class.
So would you trade d K for the wide receiver
one or the wide receiver two of that potential draft class?
Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
And to me, the answer is yes.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Especially with no quarterback in Pittsburgh. Yeah, they need a
running back. If you look at the roster, be Robin Romandre.
I'm gonna be around much longer I get.
Speaker 7 (01:09:36):
He said. The mid first could be solid. It could
even be DK metcalf because the family guy mystery Box
think about Yeah, no.
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
Right, I don't want look and I appreciate look the
mad science. I appreciate Aaron. Aaron is a killer. But
I will one thing in this In this world, you've
got to go with your gut, like you gotta go
with your people. And for me, DK is not one
of my people. And so like for me, if I
(01:10:05):
can get a wide receiver one or RB one in
next year's class, or a wide receiver two or RB
two in next year's class, give it to me, and
I'll let DK sell off into the sunset over to
Aaron Saint Dennis's roster, and I will applaud him for
taking him, and I hope he wins him a championship.
The reality is he won't, but I can hope and
(01:10:28):
pray for you.
Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
You're good head too much, Margaret. DK ain't never won
anybody a championship. Let's be real.
Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Anyways, I won't see I will not let it stand.
That will Howard is not a quarterback.
Speaker 1 (01:10:43):
Agreed, Agreed.
Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
