Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Joseph Vivaldi and this is improving your mental health. I
am going to discuss today about COVID mental health and
what a post pandemic world is going to look like.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Well, according to what.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I'm concerned on and whatever, I know, every agency has
their own regulations over a mask warning situation. Even if
you're vaccinated. Apparently, according to what I know, some areas
you have to wear a mask.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
So it's.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
However, it conflicts with the state regulations that says, hey,
if you're vaccinated, you don't have to wear a mask.
And it's one thing. Also, we're not allowing anyone to

(01:21):
sit in the building to eat when a local shop
down the road might have in full capacity. I mean,
I think there are double standards because corporations and agencies

(01:45):
take a different approach in the matter than the government
as roles. And I mean I think, you know, if
the government says, hey, this is the law, then I
would think that they would have to accept and go

(02:10):
along with the law. So I you know, I just
don't understand, like you know, And this is the questions
that people are gonna ask going into a post pandemic period,
and many have concerns many have whatever. It's like, how

(02:33):
do you know somebody sick? Somebody you might not say something,
and you know, for the fear of scrutiny and everything else.
But if you feel that way, you shouldn't have to
be afraid, and you shouldn't have to be afraid that

(02:54):
you're it's gonna that you shouldn't even avoid the person afterwards.
So I'm going to discuss about that with mental health.
Let's just say people that I've known who've had and
I won't mention names, but people I know who've had it.

(03:17):
I had the first vaccine shot. It was around them
that one.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Okay, uh and it's close to so that's what I'm.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Saying, you know, don't take it from me. I mean,
it's like they had their recuperators and recuperation time, they
had their quarantining time, and it was okay. You know,
shouldn't like it shouldn't be you know, stress whatever. If
they recover, they recover, should open them back into the

(04:00):
environment and you know, not you know, treat them differently
because it may feel that it was like they say, hey,
I had this, I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Be judged, but.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
It's an illness. It's just like mental health. COVID was
in illness too, and you know we don't wanna you know,
you have hunts over who had what and one had who.

(04:41):
So it's like, you know, there's a lot of fear
going on in some agencies and.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
There's a lot of fear going on in others.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
And I understand that there's fear in all of this,
but eventually we have to overcome.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
We have to return to a world before COVID, even.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Though we don't want to, even though we had that fear.
That's why mental health professionals need to be, you know,
at call and ready to help, because people had been
affected by this illness and rather they have stigmas applied

(05:38):
to them, or they were afraid or you know stuff
like that. You know, you can't be we can't be fearful,
you know, we can't be afraid.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
And you know many of us have fears for a
lot of stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
You know. I remember the first time in a long
time I went to a crowded restaurant and I felt uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
You know, I was on I wasn't used to that.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
I wasn't used to be having people on top of me.
I liked that space in between because it gave me
the privacy of having the date and like, you know,
one thing with COVID, I didn't have to worry about that.
I mean, I liked the little space in between and

(06:38):
I like, you know, eating and having people on top
of me.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
You know, that's just me.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
It's like you know when you have a waiter, like
like where I went yesterday, I had a waiter ride
in my face. You know, like it's like, okay, you know,
I don't like that. I don't like that. You know,
it's and I know a lot of people have those

(07:06):
same fears. They don't like it, and it's.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
It's like too soon.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
You know, how do we come back and how do
we deal with it? Because a lot of us may
have enjoyed.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
The amenities during the.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
We didn't enjoy the lockdown, but some of us may
have enjoyed the spacing period during COVID. Uh, we enjoyed

(07:57):
having social distance. But if you're in an area like mine,
you don't have many restaurants to eat, you don't have
many coffee houses to go to, and you know, there's
not too many Starbucks, there's not too many coffee houses.

(08:18):
So you know, we have a mature that likes building
and building and building and building apartment complexes with places
where no people could go to. It's it's it's ridiculous.

(08:39):
So we're gonna have a lot of people with no
place to go. So that that that's what I say.
Like I said, you know, it's you know, showing what
these apartment places are good, but you need to be
put into a place where we have restaurants, we have

(09:08):
coffee houses, we have a lot of other buildings that
we didn't have before. They gotta be located. It's just
you know, the fact that there's a.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Main street and in you know, there should be a.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Coffee house on main street or two for people to go.
But the fact is we don't have any coffee house
on main street. So that's that's what I say. I mean,
a lot of people during this COVID period are gonna
have to not get comfortable with going into places again

(09:57):
because you know, we've gotta face the social anxiety we
faced before.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Because you know, during.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
COVID, you know, we didn't have the extra stimuli of
people judging us. We wore masks and you know, we
weren't focused on what they were thinking.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Because everyone was.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Thinking I want to get my item and get the
hell out of here. So yeah, So all I'm saying
is that during COVID they gotta take care of whatever

(10:41):
they need.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
To take care of.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
I mean, I guess if you have social anxiety, you
might have feel good about going to a place without
many people. But now I guess you gotta get comfortable
when you're not comfortable as it is dealing with going
to a place with a lot of people, and especially

(11:06):
after the whole COVID situation where you have anxiety over people,
well you are going to have to get over it,
like me and like everyone else. So and you know,
we have to deal with the frustration that everybody's going
to a certain place when we may want to go

(11:29):
to McDonald's as don crowded and they don't even have
their doors open anyone, so basically, which that might help.
And I'm not saying, oh McDonald's, I don't know what
their policies are. Everyone policy is different. I'm singling them out,

(11:52):
but I can be going on another thing. But it's
a matter of opening the door. If you have a
crowded town and building places where people could go, you know,
that's what they gotta do. Because you know they haven't.

(12:16):
It's like some places have, some places have and I
can't judge, but you know they're gonna have to have
places in line to go with seating and stuff like that,
like coffee houses with seating. You know they can't be

(12:37):
all bars, like you know, there's gotta be some coffee
houses and you know they gotta have like it can't
be you know, one place to shop, like they need to.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Break it down.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
I don't know, it's you know, you're an radius of
a community that builds. You know they're gonna need to
build the amenities that help the community grow and to
deal with the issues because you know what, they have

(13:14):
had issues.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Before with people. Now they have issues.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Again because you're gonna be having a conversation with a
person at a local Applebee's and then you're gonna have
somebody on top of you and you're gonna be like,
you know what, I can't say whatever I want to
say because I had the notion and the delusion that

(13:45):
someone else is listening, So you can't concentrate on that
conversation and you know it could be a miserable night afterwards.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
So that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
My Uh, this is gonna be some of the issues
that we're gonna deal with in post pandemic error. And
I guess a lot of us have to deal with
it because.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
We you know, it's not right because we.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
May want to go to McDonald's to get away from
the crowd, yet.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
We can't, and we have to go to.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Some place where we have to deal with the crowd
and it's you know, and you you, and then we
might have to go somewhere chatz heating and you might
not even like the food and the service, and.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
They might be on top of you. So it's just
some things that you.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Have to deal with. And how do you deal with
dealing with some stuff in a post pandemic error. And
I know it might be a little whatever, but this
is helping me get it out. I remember, you know,

(15:21):
social anxiety is never fun. And if they had it before,
they're gonna more and so have it now because I
still haven't seen some of my friends, most of my friends,

(15:41):
or almost all of my friends since before the pandemic.
So I'm gonna put it on display there. Hopefully, you know,
since things are opening up and people are doing whatever,

(16:03):
maybe that.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Will get.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Back to society again. But we're gonna have to deal
with a lot of social anxiety issues because if they
had issues before, imagine the issues that they're gonna have
when they come back. I mean, how do you deal

(16:33):
with social anxiety issues? You know, how do you deal
with being in a crowded place If you weren't in
a crowded place for a while, and you add an
illness on top of it, Yeah, you're gonna have stress
and mental issues over it. So this has been proving

(16:57):
your mental health. I know I've had a lot of
gripes over this. This is a topic about COVID and
social anxiety, and we're meant to.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Be social, but we have a lot of problems.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
That we're overcoming, and we're not facing our fear as
we should in some places and in other places we
have to be bombarded by the.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Fear so.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Or not have an enjoyable experience. So this has been
proving your mental health. I'm Joseph Walbi. I'm on Patreon

need a loan, you gotta pay a help, but you're

your mental health. I'm Joseph Evaldi and I'm discussing about
COVID and social anxiety. How can I
