Speaker 2 (00:05):
Sir?
Speaker 1 (00:06):
All right? Can you just state your name?
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Jones?
Speaker 2 (00:09):
All right?
Speaker 1 (00:09):
What's your data?
Speaker 3 (00:09):

Speaker 1 (00:12):
And you agreed to talk to us.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Yeah, we was talking, but they we got to push
you tocore button. So this is part two.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
And when we we went towards the end, we asked
you if we threatened and threatened you rhyt, if no
one promised you anything, could you just please say it
out loud?
Speaker 3 (00:35):
No, nobody promised you anything.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Okay. We talked about what happened with your children.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Well, no, I take that back. You guys did promise
if you guys just them go give them a burial
and try to help you out. Is what you guys promise?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Promised a good burial for your children.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
We talked about when you picked your children up Thursday,
which would have been.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
August twenty eighth, you picked them up from school that day,
when something happened that night. Is that correct? Yes?
Speaker 5 (01:05):
Sir?
Speaker 1 (01:05):
All right? Can you walk us through what happened?
Speaker 3 (01:11):
I questioned a ton about four outlets that he blew.
After a series of not getting any favorable responses out
of him, I tried to use more harsh measures to
just try to get out of what was going on
because I didn't know what he was doing. I seen
four destroy outlets? Is it for me? Him? Was he curious?
I just didn't know what was going on and I
was trying to make sense of it.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
I worked too hard.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Or maybe it was a combination of the electricity. I know,
electricity takes electrolytes out of your body. Something happened, it
was out of the ordinary, and he would tell me.
If I would have known it, I mean, I would
have got a medical help whatnot. But I don't know
what he did, and he didn't tell me. I didn't
see any burnmarks in his body, so that's why I
didn't rush him to the hospital. So after the fact, he.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
He was deceased, and then happened to him? How did
he get deceased?
Speaker 3 (02:02):
What did you do in bed?
Speaker 1 (02:04):
After? I worked him real hard because he wouldn't answer me.
And what do you mean by working him too?
Speaker 3 (02:09):
I just ptid his ass till you couldn't handle it,
cracking more but a couple of times to get something
out of him and tell me what was he doing right?
What's his motive?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
And when you're saying pet and what what are we
talking about? Squats and push ups? Squats push ups? And
how long were you having on pt PT like an hour?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Like I said, there's nothing out of the ordinary. Those
kids were doing sandy with and we had fun doing it.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
And where did he go from your doing this? Where
in the house where you piece?
Speaker 3 (02:36):
He was in the living room? And then I finally
got tired of and sent him to bed. You're not
telling the truth. That can't help you. Go to bed man,
You're wasting everybody's time.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
And then and then you you find out what.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Come back and find out that he's deceased. And when
I find out he's deceased, then the ship hits the fanimal.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
How did the ship hit the fan? Toom? The boys
just start going off and then here comes the parent.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
I'm like, oh, ship, what just happened?
Speaker 1 (03:03):
What? What?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
What just happened? This ain't gonna go I can't call
him up. I got all these voices run into my
head now.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
And then what happens to him? What did you tell
us earlier? So Natan was was dead? And then what happened?
And I followed suit with the other four And how
did how did you get that way with my hands?
With your hands? Can you describe what you mean by
with your hands around around their neck? Who was next?
Speaker 3 (03:32):
I'm just gonna put the order so I don't have
to go to too much time.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Just tell us the order time mirror he lies were time.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
You like, Mira?
Speaker 1 (03:48):
And when did you say this was tim? What day? Earlier? Thursday?
Speaker 3 (03:53):
I think they were supposed to go to school Friday
and they didn't go because well they couldn't go.
Speaker 6 (03:58):
Yeah, and you said also that this happened where the house?
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Can you tell me what that actress was? Put them on?
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Fifty five V something drive?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
What county in South Carolina? Like South Carolina? Where in
the house did you say these happened at? In the house?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Bedroom, the living room? Okay?
Speaker 4 (04:21):
What what did you do earlier? You said when you
would strangle, then what would you do with the bodies
at that point?
Speaker 3 (04:32):
At that point, I was just running on fear, and
I wasn't thinking. An normal person would have said, let
me call the police and to turn myself in.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
I took the Cower route and started following those voices
in my head which let me down such a nice
path of the month today.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
And what did you do then? What do you mean
put the bodies?
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Put them in bags and put them on the hill.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Okay, no, no, no, when when you're at the house, Oh,
load them.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
I just loaded them in the car.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Did you put them in the bag at that time?
I don't know? Okay, just you put them in in
the vehicle. What type of vehicle was at all? Right?
And what do you do from there?
Speaker 3 (05:15):
I started driving out of fear.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
Tim, tell us, what was your original plan to do
with the bodies? Now that we've had a chance to
talk about.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
It, I don't know what my original plan was. I
had so many thoughts going through my mind.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
So what were some of them? Because you brought some
notes and you bought.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
I had a hundred different thoughts about what I could do.
I don't want to sit and incriminate myself, but I
had a bunch of different things.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
You know, I wanted.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
We went over this. But part of your plan was
to do the bodies.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
I think originally I tended to go do all that
stuff that I wrote down on the paper.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
But it's pretty much solf to it though, right, which
I what was it.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
To do such as get of the court do you
remember what step one was like, it's.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
All of them, something like that, I'm gonna cut him over, You're.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Gonna I was gonna do all kinds.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Did you write down that you were gonna burn the bodies?
Speaker 3 (06:06):
I think I was gonna burn them?
Speaker 1 (06:07):
You when you were gonna going to what was stepped two?
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Boil them ers? I forget what it was. That's what
I'm trying to tell you. I don't remember everything.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Yeah, yeah, did you write that you were gonna wrote
stuff down that it was in the context of that time.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
But was it something that you were going to cut
the bodies up.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
So I could bring myself to do it?
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Yes, all right, it's let's take a look at Tim. Well,
he's looking that up.
Speaker 6 (06:34):
I still wanna clarify when when you last saw Christine
Christina Christine at.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
Your next door neighbor, or.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
When I last saw uh, when I last saw the
kids were actually still around?
Speaker 1 (06:49):
She said, she spoke to you on the second she.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Talked to me, talk you on the list when I
least seen her, And the.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Children said, she talked to you on the phone. Okay,
and the children.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Were in a safe and I to order full of
the kids.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
You okay, hmm, okay, I wanna go through this real
quick with you. We don't have to spend a lot
of time on this, but we went over this. What
what is day one?
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Burn up bodies? What's day two?
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Sawn on bones?
Speaker 1 (07:25):
What's day three?
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Mb s? One of the face dissolve dissolve in discard?
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Okay, So your initial plan was to do these things
with their bodies?
Speaker 3 (07:37):
What was one of them? I told you there's other
stuff that just happened to be the one that's materialized.
I had a million.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Buds in Okay, let's go over this.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
This is why what did the campground no bodies and
send bodies to dust?
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Are small by small, discard by a sanitation plant. Okay,
So these are some of the things that we're going
through your head.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
That was That's just a small amount of stuff that
was going through my.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yes, did you write this before or after you killed
the children? After? After?
Speaker 3 (08:07):
I wasn't premeditating this note. Okay, this was not premeditated.
This was a oh shit, what just happened?
Speaker 4 (08:12):
So you had the bodies in the vehicle. Did you
write this in your house?
Speaker 1 (08:16):
In the car? Where did you write these notes?
Speaker 3 (08:20):
That was on the back of a clipboard in the house,
I think, yeah, I would think that would be in
the house. I'm not good at writing and driving.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Okay, did you do this before or after you put
the bodies in the car? I don't remember?
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Okay, I don't. I'm sorry those details I don't remember.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
Now, we had also gone through some of what what
you went and purchased, and specifically I thought, at the Walmart?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Do you remember that?
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (08:51):
All right, let's see if I could find the receipt
for that drove a choice and to continue, what what
did you purchase at the uh? At the Walmart?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (09:06):
I don't remember which Walmart?
Speaker 4 (09:09):
This would have been the one in West Columbia.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Uh, well, where is it? I don't remember.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Okay, did you buy a saw there? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Ooh, okay, did you buy Let's go over this.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
This receipt here, this receipt, yeah, is gonna be.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
From Gusta Road in West Columbia.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Okay, alright, And the date.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
Here is nine three, so this is this is after
because what happened to the children was on Thursday. What day,
that's the twenty eighth, Now nine three, this is on Wednesday,
So this is after the weekend.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
And where have them children been the whole time?
Speaker 3 (09:53):
With me?
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Where? Rather on a vehicle?
Speaker 4 (09:57):
I think, what where are they though?
Speaker 3 (10:01):
With me in the car?
Speaker 1 (10:01):
All right, they're all in the back, yes, okay.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Well in the middle, not back. So backing plast the
back and plast the back.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Reopened it and so I just.
Speaker 6 (10:12):
Told me earlier they were. You had them covered up
in some sheets or blankets.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Do blankets in a shipload of air freshener? So you
have you have their bodies there.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
You go in and you purchase what Walk me through
what you're purchasing here?
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Uh, I don't know where it rose?
Speaker 1 (10:32):
All right?
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Dust mask?
Speaker 1 (10:34):
This is actually gatorade, but a dusk mask. Some goggles
and some hand saws, some jap saw. It says in
a multi saw, multi saw. What's this? Heare? Uh?
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Some Maria, I guess?
Speaker 1 (10:50):
And what's this here? I look a five gallon pail?
All right?
Speaker 4 (10:56):
Were you purchasing this stuff at that time? Because you
initially thought you might be able to go through.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
With this.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Partially and then I could You just.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Couldn't do it, Okay.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
So one of the next receipts we kind of talk
about is going to be several days later, I had.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
These thoughts in my head to try to do this,
and then I could bring myself to do it.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Okay, Now we go to the following day, this is
going to be the fourth. This is at the Dollar
General store and we're still in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
What do you purchase there that we spoke about? Excuse me?
What's this here? Some bag?
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Trash bags?
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Trash bags? Why'd you buy those trash bags? To do?
Speaker 3 (11:43):
What?
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Now?
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Put the bodies to throw some of my own trash
out to Okay, I had a lot of stuff and
be I was trying to throw out.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Now you said you were You're just driving.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Around, you have the bodies in the car, and were
you going at that time?
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Nowhere, I guess, because in my mind I'm just running.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
I have nowhere to go because you didn't plan this.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
I didn't plan this. No, it's just like this is
spontaneous and I just fucked up my whole life. Okay,
one bad answerent and not following through what I should
have and.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
I now we we spent some time really trying to
figure out where where your children are at.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
What did we kind of come up with?
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Looking somewhere on the Route ten between and think Greenville.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
And.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
Let's go back to September fifth, Friday night. What did
you tell us happened Friday night, September fifth? That was
that was when you said your vehicle got stuck.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, tell us about that.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
I pulled off the side at somebody's house to try
to collect myself and see where I was at. And
in the process of pulling back onto the road, I
got stuck in a dis stuck in what happened to
drug hit?
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Come on?
Speaker 3 (13:00):
He called the record?
Speaker 1 (13:02):
All right, if you had any law enforcement contact.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
That night, A law enforcement just showed up on his own.
Speaker 6 (13:07):
He was Patrollingum, okay, can you describe what he looked like?
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Probably about maybe five ten shaved hair, uh, Caucasian mail.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Okay, when you have contact with this officer, Where are
your children in the car?
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (13:24):
They're dead in the car, yes sir, okay, and they're
still where you set.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Them, Yes, sir? What what's going on in that car?
Since they've been sitting for so long? I mean this,
you kill them on Thursdays? Oh, they weren't.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Sitting there.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Some of the time. I took a couple of days
and just stayed home.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Okay, did you leave them in the vehicle or were
they in the house at that time?
Speaker 1 (13:51):
I think they were in the vehicle, and I was
just sitting there, not what you think. We want to believe.
That was the belief that they were in the vehicle.
You're talking about the weekend it happened.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yes, I was just sitting there thinking what am I
going to do?
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Okay, well, do that makes sense? Yes, it makes sense.
It's tied together, because that's what I'm trying to tell you.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
What all I'm saying it from that Thursday though, the
twenty eighth. And you say, after all this happens, you
place their bodies in the vehicle. Yes, between then and
the time you come in contact with the officer, and
that would be Friday on September fifth, So we have
over a week's time that has passed by. Your children
(14:30):
are still still in the vehicle? Is that correct? What
day Friday when you have contact?
Speaker 3 (14:39):
So the next Saturday was yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
So they're in the vehicle the whole time. What's kind
of happening in the vehicle as far as how does
it smell in there?
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Stink like shit?
Speaker 1 (14:52):
What's happening with the children you're telling me.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Before the blood was probably just coming out of their
bodies because I just left them in And I believe
that well as far as I know. I think when
you dies, you will blood and water separate. I think
that's now.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
We had asked, because you purchased the saws and everything,
had you used any of the saws on your children?
Speaker 1 (15:13):
If I tried to start on the time and I
could bring myself to do.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
It, okay, and we'll get to we'll get to where
that happens.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Had you tried with any of the other children.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
No, maybe it was kind of the whole center of
this thing.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Mm hm. He's what kind of started this.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
He triggered us all.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
If he would have told you what happened to the outlets.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
That night, I would have got I would have wanted
an act approprily to try to help him.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
None of this would have happened.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
I think he didn't tell me because I think it
was intended for me. I think that's why it would
make sense to him not to tell me.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
So let me ask you.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
So you have contact with the law enforcement officer Friday night.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
The children are still in this vehicle that would have
been on the fifth the fifth Saturdays when you get
picked up six that's going to be the sixth, that's Saturday.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
But that Saturday morning, we look at this receipt and
this is where the Greenville, Alabama, Greenville, Alabama. And what
do you remember? What you buy there?
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Ten packs of cigarettes and some zuzu and wam whambs.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Okay, and I just see grocery, So I don't know
what you purchased there. And if the time on the
receipt is correct, it's telling us eight eighteen in the morning. Yep,
your children they're still in the vehicle with you.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
You're positive about that on Saturday, not the whole day?
Speaker 4 (16:39):
Yeah, okay, at that time though, yeah, okay, So you
go from Greenville, Alabama.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
And then the next receipt we have is Camden, Alabama.
And what are you doing Camden?
Speaker 3 (16:52):
I pulled some money out. I was intended to go
to Vegas.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Okay, and you take out five hundred dollars all right?
Speaker 4 (17:00):
Now, that time is at one o six pm, at.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
That point where the children in your.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Vehicle and believed they were I think that they were gone.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
You're already disposed to that, I'm pretty sure. Okay.
Speaker 6 (17:12):
So with that in mind, can you describe to me
what you were telling me earlier about where you dispassed
to your children.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
At there's some wooded road log truck looking thing off
on the side in bags.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Was it a two line run that this was off of?
Speaker 3 (17:27):
I think so, but I'm not one hundred percent sure.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
You said it was a heavily wooded area.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Uh, it was hellywood. It looked like if you went
up in the area where did it was either like
some of the trees got knocked out of the way,
like people potentially either starting to clear it, or maybe
somebody came through there and was bulldozing up atv paths
or something. I don't know. It was wasn't something that
was incorporated. That's kind of what I was.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
It was unincorporated, unincorporated your children?
Speaker 4 (17:51):
You do want once you get to this location, begs, okay.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
Tell us about Naton. Does this happen there?
Speaker 4 (18:01):
D this happen in a separate place where you you
said you started to cut him, he started to happen there?
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Where? Where did it happen in the vehicle? Outside of
the vehicle? And what do you do to try? Saw
a leg?
Speaker 3 (18:14):
And I couldn't bring myself how far did you get
maybe about that far?
Speaker 4 (18:20):
And I was like, I can't do the Okay, see
you did not cut his leg off.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
What what did you do with his body? And just
put him in the bag.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
He said, I gotta sit you guys over there instead
of playing four.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Min Okay, did you place each child in a separate
bag and then did you walk them a couple at
a time or one at a time?
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Which which is it good? A couple of the time,
a couple at a time. There many trips to get
five of them over there. Now.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
We asked if they're gonna be essentially all together if
they put him I.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Put him in the same place. If somebody didn't check
the bags and they start looking in there, moving around,
I don't know what.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
For all I know they.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
They may not be there. Okay, I'm not lying to
you that much. I'm telling you the truth. I don't
know what happened, but obviously between where I put them
in good time, I'm here now.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
I don't know if somebody went back and you you said,
they just look like they're a pile of five bag,
five garbage bags, five garbage so it looks like they're
just garbage in there.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Okay, so what what.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
What do you do? Then? Do you try to hide
the bags at all?
Speaker 3 (19:31):
I just put them off to the side. I knew
there was no hiding bags. There ain't no hidings.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
I'm gonna get caught.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
This is just this dur time there. I'll buy it
in myself time. I'm gonna get caught.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
So you go. You don't try to hide the another one.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
You don't cover the bags up, but you go back
to your vehicle and from your vehicle.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
I just drove, drove aimlessly. And then and then I will,
I say aimlessly. I was in an aimless path towards
Las Vegas. That's why I was doing this. And then
explain me going around the major cities. All right, he
explains my travel Polana travel.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Maybe until you get here in Smith County.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
And then I didn't intend to get yeah, and then
that's when everything blows up in my face.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
Now you were telling us that was actually in the car.
It was not spice, but they are called.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
This is Scooby snacks. Okay, he said locally, Lesning County.
You bought this from where? Uh? Time warp? And what
do they kind of do for you?
Speaker 3 (20:29):
They calm the voices down inside my head to let
me be in peace and not act on them.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
They kind of give you the same high. Is is
what drog is? I think you're talking about the t Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
It's like marijuana in the sense that it gives you
a high, but it's not the high that I'm looking for.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
It's the effect of quieting this.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
It's medication. I know that sounds stupid. That's why I
need to see a doctor.
Speaker 6 (20:55):
Okay, absolutely, yeah, they this won't answer a lot of that.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Sure you got sure. Have me other question? Well, what
do I want to do.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
We'll go through this and but as we've done this today,
nobody has threatened you today, and we'll go over this
in this form.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Is that correct? And do you think we treated you
fair today? Yes?
Speaker 4 (21:16):
All right, you've done the same for us. Have you
been completely honest with us?
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Now?
Speaker 4 (21:22):
One thing, though, you didn't tell us about taking that
saw to Naton, Not until we started this tape.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
You had not mentioned that.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
But I told you we're gonna we're gonna form autopsies
on your children. We're gonna find them mm hm. And
you're telling me the four children, four of them. It's
we're gonna find out that they were suffocated.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Now you're you're grabbing your hands, you putting them around
your throat. That's what you did. Yeah, okay, that's how
you suffocated them. Did you put a pillow over that?
Speaker 2 (21:49):
No?
Speaker 1 (21:49):
No, all right? If you could just say out loud
what you're doing, I use my hands my kids.
Speaker 6 (21:54):
Is there anything else we need to know him about
what happened to him, anything.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
You may have attended to do to him afterwards? To
use the belt? How'd you use a belt around the necks?
Did you do that with all five children? With who? Who?
Did you use the belt on? I forget which ones? Okay,
I used it?
Speaker 4 (22:14):
What What is the autopsy gonna show with Naton?
Speaker 3 (22:19):
I don't know?
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Do you use the belt on? Man, it's gonna I
don't know. I didn't use the butt time. No.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
He I came in and he was gone, and that's
when that's when I went into panic mode. If you will.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
So you're you're not sure, but the autopsy will show
from Naton.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
I don't know what's gonna show. I don't know what
actually was it. I don't know what is actual because
of death was That's just the point I didn't want
to go.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
I was afraid I was gonna just get myself locked up.
Did you use the belt on Eli?
Speaker 3 (22:55):
I don't think I did. I think it was just
bare hands. I don't want to lie to you. Those
members clouded.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Well, what about who do you remember using the belt
on babies? And the babies who were? The babies are
Gabriel and Elane? Is that correct? What does? Lane is
also known as Abigail? Right? And when you say the belt,
(23:21):
you put the belt around their sting used to straighten.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
Why why didn't you use your hands with them?
Speaker 3 (23:29):
I don't know at that point of what wasn't thinking
at that point, We're just thinking run get rid of
the bodies and your bucked?
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Were the older children? Did they put up a fight?
Speaker 3 (23:46):
I mean, what a person's not right?
Speaker 6 (23:49):
You told us earlier that Eli said something to you
before you killed him. What did he say to you?
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Take me with dead?
Speaker 1 (23:57):
What do you think Eli meant when he said that?
Speaker 3 (24:02):
I think he just wanted to go where I was.
He knew the time was gone, so they I don't
know exactly what he meant by that. I mean, I
don't know where he thought I was going. I didn't
even know where I was going at that time, and
this is just happening that it's like my mind. I
don't know what to do.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Now. Did any of the other children say anything before
you killed him?
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (24:24):
I love you.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Okay, that's the question I was gonna you know, we're
we're gonna ask you here. So we've we've gone over
all this and and you've.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Been honest with us.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
Are we gonna find any of the other children caught
up at all? No, you didn't try to burn them
at all.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
I can't tim what about the bleach in the vehicle when.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
The blood they cover up the blood.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
But I also known the truth. I do like leach
because it makes them smoke clean.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
So you're probably trying to get rid some of that
over and not just that. I mean, no, it's so.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
I mean I would carry it around in the car
even if I before, because I liked leach and made stuff.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
You want to go that would just me.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
You're also willing to go with us to try to
locate the bodies.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
I am, But like I said, I don't know how
productive that's gonna be. Don't when you guys get out there,
you're pissing around, wasting our time, I know not, I mean,
like dry would forgive me part of that sub blank?
Speaker 6 (25:26):
All right, Tim, We're gonna we ran to these questions earlier.
You've heard them also, there's no surprises. Unfortunately we got
to do it again because the issue with the recorder.
First question is do you know where you are?
Speaker 3 (25:37):
Where's that Smith County?
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Smith County? Do you know who you are? Tim Jones?
What's your day of birth? Tims? You know why we've
been talking.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
To you trying to find out what happened with the kids.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (25:52):
Do you understand that you've just confessed to a crime.
Do you understand that your confession will be used against
you at corps? Did you confess voluntarily?
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (26:03):
Did anyone threaten you if you didn't confess? Can you
speak a little louder?
Speaker 3 (26:09):
No?
Speaker 1 (26:09):
No? What do you think will happen to you as
a result of confessing to a crime?
Speaker 3 (26:14):
I have no clue, no clue.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Okay, fair enough.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
Why did you decide to confessing to do the right thing?
Speaker 1 (26:21):
That's exactly what you told me earlier. Do you feel
guilty about the crime that you just confessed to?
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Yes? Okay? If so?
Speaker 5 (26:29):
Why I thought that it took measures that were extreme,
not necessary because of fear of fear in my life
because the kids.
Speaker 6 (26:41):
Okay, did you do the crime on purpose?
Speaker 1 (26:47):
The time was an accident. That was really an accident.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
I was just trying to find out what was going on.
If you look at that picture of me home with
my little son, yeah, it's just pictured me with the
older one trying to say something's going on, and he.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Wouldn't tell me.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
And I don't know if he was messing with the stuff,
and so pt took him over the edge.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
Time was an accident, But you murdered the other four children? Yes, okay,
it's why did you do that? We talked about this earlier.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
The voice that started kicking and said you better do something.
You're fucking up to. Okay, what were you trying to
accomplish by doing this crime?
Speaker 3 (27:19):
She's trying to flee because I knew my time was short.
I was gonna get in trouble anyway. I'm not good
at being bad. I'm not a good criminal. When did
you decide to do this? After the ton had been gone,
I started listening to what was going on in my head,
and I.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Carried it out. I didn't care out everything, because if
I did, I would have carried that was on those papers.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
That's the stuff that comes out.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
In my head. What did you think about your children?
Just in general?
Speaker 3 (27:46):
I think that they were gonna have issues like me,
she was like you, okay. I would think that they
were gonna have issues from not only from a broken home.
I think that there's genetic diseases that I think that
there were some things that my dad, if seen history,
he doesn't know about my mom.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
I think that there's things I know about my mom.
You know, I'm not I wasn't wrong that happened, because
I think I've got some of.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
What she has. What kind of people do you think
the children were when you committed the crime? I understand
this is a weird question for what we're talking about,
but we had to ask it earlier too.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
I think they were conspiring.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
That they were conspiring against you.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
I definitely it seems to make the most sense to me.
I mean, why else would somebody go do something like
that and not tell me what are you doing?
Speaker 6 (28:34):
Do you understand that you've just can Oh, sorry, I'm
getting behind myself. When you did this, did you think
your actions could hurt the children? Yes, yes, So you
knew that what you were.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Doing and the children was gonna do. I knew what
I was gonna harm, protect your lot.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
It was to protect myself.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Okay, I know that sounds. When you did this crime,
did you know it was wrong the time?
Speaker 3 (28:57):
I didn't think any of it was wrong.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
It happened, and this fuck I'm happenstancing. Let me finish
it up now. Okay, when you did the crime, did
you know it was against the wall?
Speaker 2 (29:08):
Time?
Speaker 3 (29:09):
I didn't think about the law. So I'm gonna say no,
the law didn't come into my mind. I wasn't caring
about the law dealing with that children on my hands.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Fuck the law. I'm in trouble, man, My kids are dead. Yeah.
Did you think you might get caught?
Speaker 3 (29:20):
I knew I was gonna get caught. I'm not a
good criminal. It was a matter of time.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Why did you think that just because you weren't.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
A good cry I'm not a good Grandma's told me something.
That's the truth, Tim, You ain't. I told them to
my kids. Do you guys ain't good? Being bad? So
be good?
Speaker 1 (29:34):
What did you do to protect yourself from getting caught?
Driver to try to get this guy's the bags and get.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Really stuff at the house.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
What all did you get rid of the house? Everything
I've given that your general possessions.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Yeah, I just didn't think about keeping my stuff anymore.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
The hell with it.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
Yeah, gave all my stuff away. I mean, my life's over.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
What I thought about it. If there been times you
wanted to do something like this but decided against it.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
I mean, I've had these thoughts, but none of this
happened until this actually materializes.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
What I'm trying to tell you. Okay, why did you
do that in the past? If you've had these thoughts before,
why didn't I?
Speaker 3 (30:10):
Yes, I didn't have any reason to act on them.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
The reason act on them. Okay.
Speaker 6 (30:14):
Would you have done this if a uniformed officer had
been standing next to you, Yes, even I wouldn't he cared.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
No, man, you flow alb with you, you would have wouldn't
have cared.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Yeah, And here's why at that point in time, I
didn't care because I saw myself as a damn target
and I saw him as having a gun in his hand.
If you will, I know he was a kid, but
that's how I saw it. Like shit, He's when you.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Say when you say him. You're talking about Naton Aton
and how old is Nauton?
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Six years old?
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Six years old? Did anyone tell you to do this?
Speaker 6 (30:42):
The voices, as I might say, and your set and
just confirmed the voices in your head are not God.
Speaker 3 (30:46):
They are not God. No God would know the Saint
Isaac and Abraham.
Speaker 6 (30:51):
Okay, when you did this, did you know that society
would condemn your actions even if they knew everything.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
That you know?
Speaker 3 (30:57):
I mean at the time, I sort of didn't care.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Didn't care.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Yeah, I was like, I don't know. I felt like
I was marked for dead, if you will, and I
was just acting accordingly.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Did you have any stranger unusual mental experiences around the
time of the crime?
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (31:17):
If so, what were they and what did they begin?
Speaker 3 (31:19):
When he told me what he said, Yes, all kinds
of stuff started triggering, and then I worked harder to
get out of him, to try to see if maybe
puts it back together. And then I realized that this
he's not doing this per se too. He's not telling
me what's going on because it appears he's got something
intended for me, and he doesn't want me to know
that it's right for me, because normally they're pretty apt
(31:42):
to tell me the truth. And if they don't, I
give them a couple squats and a push up and
they spit it out. He ain't doing that, which means
there's some motive that he does not want me.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Is that why you pushed him so hard?
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Yes, I tried to push him more. Give me some more,
a little more pressure. Maybe he'll just tell me what's
going on. That's always worked before, and so the fact
that it didn't work this time tells me to do
something that he didn't want me to know.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
When he got pushed at his limit, he just died
right pass out right there. Or what happened. He went
to bed and he was tired. He went to bed
and he just never woke up.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
And then I came back to check him and he
wasn't breathing. I said, oh shit, But I done my
kids that in my head they think I murded im.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
I just be tear. He's with y'all. I don't know
what happened to him. And then all starts of stuff
starts tricking in my head.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
And that's like the other four become a victim.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Tim have you ever heard or seen things that weren't
really there? Yes? If so? Has this been when taking.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Drugs, both with and without drugs?
Speaker 1 (32:42):
With and without drugs? What did you see her here?
Speaker 3 (32:46):
I've seen people, I've had conversations. I've started to talk
with people where there's nobody in the room.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
You told me shapes earlier.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
I'll see shapes. But yeah, that's the strangest thing. I
see shapes and things as it aren't real.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Is this happening while we've been talking to you tonight? Yes?
What have you seen while you were talking to us tonight?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Well?
Speaker 3 (33:08):
I see I see people?
Speaker 1 (33:10):
What kind of people? Do you say? It is normal
everyday people.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
I don't talk to him because if you guys are said,
you're gonna say, start talking to me, not them.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
Dude, if you pay attention, what's going on? My saw?
I get so nutty. I start talking to him. Did
you did this happen the day of the crime?
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (33:29):
What did you see the day of the crime? Did
you see people? Oh?
Speaker 3 (33:32):
I ain't talking about the you know the boy. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
This goes back to the voices.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Okay, Yeah, the voices ran rampant in my head.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
You had there was no space for logic to talk.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
They were so loud that the quiet and the I understanding.
Speaker 6 (33:46):
Do you have any ideas or believes that other people
think are crazy? If so, what are they free Mason
or free Mason?
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Okay, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
They probably think my thoughts about exercise or nuts. But
I mean, I tend to think people should take care
of themselves. I'm old school in the sense that I
think kids should get theirs busted by a teacher. I
don't like the fact. And here's one of my problems.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
This is what the DSS was about.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
When I grew up, I didn't worry about kids bringing
guns to school and blowing the hell of each other
with a teacher. That didn't happen because there was a
healthy fear and you got corrected by parents. These day
and age kids bring guns to school because I don't
think that they're corrected at home, and they take other
people's lives because they got no respect for authority. I said,
I will not let my kids go out and go
blasting people away because I'm not teaching them and respect
(34:33):
human life. So that was my whole motivation with a
time to push him, Hey dude, you need to tell
me what you're up to.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
Man, I need to know. Yeah, and he wouldn't tell me.
Speaker 6 (34:44):
So you'd say your personal beliefs affect your actions. Yeah,
I mean I think that's true for everybody I think
said to you.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
I don't know who wouldn't be.
Speaker 6 (34:52):
You know, obviously, if you believe something that didn't affect
your actions, you don't really believe it that much.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
Day you say, you do what you're doing right. Yeah.
Did people ever had difficulty understanding you? Yes? If so,
why do you think this is?
Speaker 3 (35:05):
People say I'm really smart, and I talked at one
hundred miles an hour, and I talk, I'll go from
one subject to another, and it seems brandon in them,
But to me it makes sense.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
I've understood you tonight. I can see how people would
think that.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Though you're more understanding than the difficult person.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
I can tell that I got a sort of a
nuance about people.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
You're very people personally could.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Tell well, I'm here, I'm here to try to understand you.
Know what I'm saying. I told you earlier. Not all
cops are that way.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Yeah, which is kind of why I was resistant to
the other ones, the.
Speaker 6 (35:36):
Ones that you spoke with last night. And I may
have some questions for you about that. We'll talk about
that in a minute. The next question so we can
get through these. Have you ever been told that you
had a mental illness.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
By a doctor, just anybody? Oh? Yeah, you're fucking nuts, dude.
My nickname in high school was the crazy white guy crazy.
Why I'm not joking?
Speaker 3 (35:57):
Yeah, that was my nickname.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
So people in high school told you this, you told
us earlier. The military also.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
The military said I was wrongly enlisted to due to
some mney listment. I fell on a depression.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Okay. Have you ever had any treatment or have you
ever been hospitalized for any of these issues?
Speaker 3 (36:16):
No? I fought it.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
You fought it. Okay. Have you ever had a diagnosis? No? No.
Do you think you have a mental illness? I think
something's not right. I don't know what. I think I
may have some, not a some.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
If I'm anything like my mom, Yeah, I got lots.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Oh gotcha? Were you drinking or using any drugs at
the time of the crime.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
No, it was self medication afterwards.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Afterward. What did you take afterwards? Scooby snack?
Speaker 3 (36:46):
It was the only thing we try to calm the
voices long enough for me to collect myself, and it
really didn't work because what I just did. Yeah, none,
nothing was working.
Speaker 6 (36:54):
Were you drinking or using any drugs when you were arrested?
I think i'd been smoking schools, Scooby snacks.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Okay, speaking of that, can I have another one please?
With a cigarette? It's still twenty books on my wall.
You have any illnesses, discal illnesses? So I'm just.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Telling you what I think based off of my experience.
I'm the type who doesn't really like to go to doctors,
which is a male thing.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
Yeah, I think I got an ulcer, an ulcer, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
And the reason why it is because I get those
sulfur burps. They like eggs and I I don't know.
And then also some foods will just do a number
to my gut. I've been told I might have kolitis
or crones. My digest a tract sensitive. That's why you
don't see me eat much.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
I got you speaking eating. You still don't want any
thing to eat from the right now?
Speaker 3 (37:45):
No, I can't even know. As far as also, I
got issues with my back because I smashed my head
so young.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
I got stuff that's out of line, and I asked.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Them to give me a They made me sleep on
that hard metal thing, and I asked them if I
could have a mattress because my.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
Stuff hurts, and I don't because they think I'm trying
to shining.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Mys with the mattress or something.
Speaker 4 (38:02):
You're talking about here, Yeah, yeah, okay, but sure you
say you're not suicidal at all.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
If I was gonna, if I was gonna do it, it
would have already happened. No, man, I'm not willing to
take that. I'll do a lot of stuff.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
But because you said your religious belief, taking my life
is not one of them. Because what happens, you say,
if you kill yourself, If you kill yourself, well maybe
nothing does happen.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
And maybe Lord, I love you. Maybe God's a myth
and we die and we go to the ground. But
if he's not and it's real, well, if it does
what it does, the hell's not a very fun place.
I don't think it plans on freezing over anytime soon.
I don't want to go there.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Were you taking any medications before you were arrested? I
don't think so.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
Okay, were you taking any medications at the time of
the crime.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
And you're talking about lady, well, I.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Have prescription medications, so.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
I mean i'd be profen into proxim Okay, so of
those yet, but nothing like to me. That's all I had.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Okay, have anything else?
Speaker 6 (39:04):
That's all they gave me when we talked about is
it question earlier? Have you ever had a seizure or fit?
Speaker 3 (39:11):
I don't know what the word fit means, but I
think I may have had some seizures, the non violent type.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Okay, did you have one to day of the crime
in question? I don't think so. You don't think so.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
I can't say that.
Speaker 1 (39:25):
Have you ever been knocked unconscious? Yes? Yes, if so?
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Win, I mean, I grew up and as a young
teenager in Chicago, and I had to protect myself because
I'm white and most of those guys aren't white, and
they don't like me because my skin colored. You know
what that means.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
And you said earlier that you were not treated for
these injuries.
Speaker 3 (39:46):
I'm still and asked and don't go to the doctor
unless I need to.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Is there? I got a few things.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
We started off today at seventeen thirty I'm sorry, nineteenth
or about seven thirty pm.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
It does sound right to you.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Okay, So we've been here for a number of hours.
It's ten o'clock.
Speaker 6 (40:07):
It is currently ten to fifty three pm. Okay, okay,
tonight's yeah, Central time. This is actually okay, so we're
going off of it's actually nine fifty five pm. Okay,
So we've been here a number of hours.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
What time is it.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
It's nine fifty My wristwatched it.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
James here from Carolina.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
Yes, yes, and in that time you've had a number
of cigarettes.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
That is that correct?
Speaker 4 (40:31):
Yes, we've actually if you want to use the bathroom,
something to eat, something to drink, and in fact, you've
had something to drink here.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
Yes, all right.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
A couple of things I did want to go through
with you before. We had talked about when this happened.
The children, when this happened in the living room, you
were saying the bodies were on the ground, Yes, and
the other kids did they know what was coming?
Speaker 3 (41:00):
I don't know. I mean they maybe they supposed. I
have no clue. I wasn't exactly in the state of
mind watching.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
Hey, he cared no, right, did they put up a fight?
Speaker 3 (41:11):
I mean what normal humans not?
Speaker 4 (41:12):
Okay, And I understand you're trying to tell me they did,
and what do you mean by that?
Speaker 3 (41:17):
Though? They just they didn't want to go.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
What do you mean they didn't want their lives taken?
Speaker 4 (41:24):
Why didn't you get help before all this? You told
us you had thoughts about this. Why didn't you get help?
Speaker 3 (41:31):
Just put it up and can I'll do it tomorrow.
I'll get help later.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
Why not give the children to your father?
Speaker 3 (41:37):
I didn't think that way.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Hop out to their mother.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
She didn't want them. She said that they couldn't come
with her if they had asked. The two of them
in a time of Mira, they had made a plot
and they originally got DSS involved in the attempt at
They were going to try to get theirselves taken out
of the house. So they made up a bunch of lies.
Is that the lady would say if you talk to her.
They made up some stuff. They weren't truly fund She
found out. She got to the bottom of it.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
But Tim, why why after.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
Things happened with Natam, you're telling us that that was
not done intentionally.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
No, that was not done and done the other unintentionally
in the sense that I was trying to just get
answers out of him. Okay, wasn't I didn't go and
intentionally just go hurt him.
Speaker 4 (42:18):
Why why not after you have plenty of time, you
have over a week's time, where those those children?
Speaker 1 (42:24):
The bodies now.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Because of that width, Because at that point, I'm not
thinking anything, but I'm screwed. I'm not thinking logically. If
I was thinking logically, I would have done that. But
I didn't. Logical went out the window, all right. I
didn't usually I didn't think mom at all at that point.
I didn't. I don't know. I wasn't myself.
Speaker 4 (42:45):
And after everything that's happened, you were questioned yesterday, your
question by the sheriff, you're question by people with the
Mississippi State Police.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
You don't tell them the whole truth?
Speaker 3 (42:57):
Why not.
Speaker 1 (42:59):
The guilt?
Speaker 3 (43:00):
To me get far enough?
Speaker 1 (43:02):
All right?
Speaker 4 (43:03):
What you're telling us here today, is this the truth?
Just the evidence that we're going to see, whether it's
the autopsies or when we find the bodies, is it going.
Speaker 1 (43:14):
To support what you're telling us here today? Yes, barring that,
I don't know what else.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
You may see. Pope's dab throwing in the car, but
I mean they may have some crutch something there.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
You're going to find a mark on the Ton's leg.
And we did talk about the sheriff. I told you
about a part of a scalp in the car.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
I don't know exactly how that came about.
Speaker 1 (43:33):
It may be of just thrash of me.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
Putting bodies in there. Okay, I don't know where that
came from.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
I had to ask you if there'd be any broken bones,
and you.
Speaker 3 (43:41):
Might find some. Now, I don't know as far as so.
I mean, I.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Did that happen before they died? No?
Speaker 3 (43:49):
No, okay, breaking bones wasn't a way to me to
I mean, I wasn't using them at that point. I
wasn't thinking at that point, let me break bones to
get what I'm going to do done. And know I
was thinking, and let me go get this done and
get out of here.
Speaker 4 (44:02):
And you know you're being recorded right now, that's right, yep.
And you know this is voluntary, just like talking to
us here today.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
Okay, I'm myself, I know.
Speaker 4 (44:10):
But after everything we've gone over, what is it you'd
like to say about about your actions?
Speaker 1 (44:20):
God? I'm sorry, children, I love you you kids today
For'm worthy to.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
All right?
Speaker 1 (44:29):
All right?
Speaker 4 (44:29):
And you're you're willing to go with us to want
to try to Okay, I don't know where to look.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
I mean, I know the general sitting.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
I don't know exactly where I'm willing to try, That's
all I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
I can't.
Speaker 3 (44:40):
I drove around with the intentions that I wasn't never
gonna have to go back there and look because I
was so ashamed of what I've done. I'll try.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
I don't know if I'm gonna help you. I'll try, though,
I sure they will because they get a burial. I can't.
Speaker 6 (44:57):
I just got I just got a couple of just
follow up questions here. You mentioned the police officers you
spoke with last night. They could have done things a
little differently when they spoke to you. Can you just
tell us from your experience what you think they could
have done better?
Speaker 1 (45:10):
Okay, so worst than what they did.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
If I'm being recorded, can let me say this much?
Let me share my experience with it. So I've done
time before, Okay, I don't.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Know that it's it's yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
I've been put up there in a rubber room, no clothes,
no mattress, no nothing for the whole time. I asked
him for a blanket just to cover up because they
cut the shower off of me. I was using that
to keep warm. Yeah, I feel that they could have
gave me clothes, I said, if me at least something,
So there's I don't want to sound like I'm being nippicky.
I mean, not the person of being nippicky. But there's
(45:47):
metal that's rusting. I told them, guys, that produces tetanus.
I don't want to get tetanus. And they don't care.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
You say, if I'm lay in that and you can
see the paint was yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:57):
Look, so there's the paint from them.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
That's just one. If I pull this enough, you're probably
gonna find pieces on my back. Yeah, that's the paint.
Speaker 3 (46:05):
Well, there's also rusted metal, and I'm afraid I'm gonna
get tenus.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
But they won't give me any blanket or any mattress.
Well what about the interview yesterday though? That's so.
Speaker 3 (46:15):
The reason I stipped on those guys is because I
don't know. They don't talk the way you do. There's
something about your approach that makes it very easy to
speak to you.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
There, you weren't. There was no offense.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
You're intimidating the hell you're an FBI agent. I'm not,
so I have to talk to you. To me, you're
here and I'm wait on here and you're gonna crush me.
You're the FBI. I'm just a nobody.
Speaker 6 (46:38):
Well, Tam, I feel like we've had a good talk
this thing, and I appreciate you. Is there anything we
could have done better in how we what we all
talked about this evening?
Speaker 1 (46:52):
Shoot, man, I've never been asked that question by you. Not.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
I can't think of anything better.
Speaker 6 (46:57):
Now you think we were We were fair to you
evening and gave you an opposittunity to tell your story.
Speaker 3 (47:03):
Yes, but if there's something that you could do for me,
it would seriously be to contact my mother help me.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
I'm you guys really want to help me, Please do.
Speaker 3 (47:11):
I didn't tell you the truth with the intention.
Speaker 6 (47:14):
I was going to not get help, all right, Tim,
Would you be willing to speak to me in the
future if I've got some more questions or some things
I'd like to talk to you about.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
I'm sure you're going to if you see the bodies.
Speaker 1 (47:24):
Yeah, okay, that's expected. What do you mean I.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
Mean when you see the bodies, I'm sure you're gonna
ask me more questions just because.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
You're you're willing to speak to us again. If we
need to speak again, there's no reason not to at
this point, Okay, And.
Speaker 3 (47:35):
I'm detective accomplishing anything by withholding new truth.
Speaker 6 (47:37):
Well, just for the record, I'm Detective Preach with the
Sheriff's Department. I'm the case officer on this incident, and
I'll be back in touch with you.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
I'm sure we'll have some more questions at some point, Okay.
Speaker 6 (47:49):
And with me is David Matthew with the Federal Bureau
of an Event Federal Bureau of Investigations
