Welcome to the Full Time Fantasy Podcast. Please have a by the Fantasy Football
World Championship, home to the industry'smost accurate rankings. What is up everybody?

(00:51):
Welcome to the Full Time Fantasy Podcast. As always, I am your
host, Adam Krautwurst, and withme is mister full Time Fantasy himself,
the man behind and all the rankingsand productions. Jody Smith. How are
you, sir, good man?It's been a while. I don't I
don't have we we haven't done apodcast since went off the y and got
married and all that. That's right, it's been a while. It's good

(01:14):
to, uh, you know, after coming back from that. It's good
to get getting in the full timeDungeon and knock out all those things for
that magazine that we have coming out, which I think we're all really excited
about, you know, gett intothat venture and doing it for for email
and all that. But you know, the good part about all the research
for that is that I'm pretty muchready rankings wise and dynasty wise and everything

(01:38):
and ready to roll. Listen, you can't say get married and dungeon in
the same sentence. That's scary. We're hoping hoping. No, it's everything's
going great, you know, whenit all comes together with with the right
person. I mean, uh,you know, like I said, it's
it's been bliss, it's been awesome, awesome. No, that's that's great,
and everything's downhill after you get marriedin Hawaii, I mean, beautiful,

(02:00):
beautiful ceremony, wonderful, so good. But yeah, no, let's
let's let's dive right in here, like you said, been a while the
beginning here of our summer series overhere at Full Time Fantasy, where we're
gonna go through your rankings and projections, most of your your rankings, starting
with the quarterback position tonight, andJody, I got to tell you,

(02:20):
this is a kind of a differentyear for quarterback for me, just kind
of an overall view of the position. And normally, you know, we've
had Josh Alfa Allen has been theQB one for like four straight years now,
you know, so normally you'd think, hey, let's put him up
at the top of the board here. But it's interesting, you know,
you got guys like him with questionmarks around the receiving corps and around that,
you know, kind of the playersaround him, you know, you

(02:43):
got kind of the old study guysthere Burrows up there, mahomes up there,
Lamar. But you know I gotsome young bucks Jalen hurt Stroud,
Anthony Richardson's so we got to youknow, we'll talk about a bunch of
these guys tonight. But from anoverall kind of macro perspective, I'm a
little you know, I'm kind ofwaiting. I drafting quarterback this year.
What's your macro look here at thatto QB position? Absolutely, Adam,

(03:07):
I don't remember a year where itfeels like there's this much depth at quarterback.
It almost feels like I mean,I put this question out on Twitter
a few days ago and I askedpeople, I mean, how many quarterbacks
do you honestly feel like we're talking, you know, single QB league.
I can win with this guy, like, you know, for instance,
let's throw out you know, MatthewStafford. You know, I think,

(03:30):
at best, what can matt MatthewStafford be QB thirteen fifteen somewhere there?
That's probably at best. But youknow you're going to see him almost always
drafted in the QB nineteen to twentythree range somewhere in there. But it
feels like there is almost two dozenquarterbacks this year that it feels like,

(03:50):
you know, I feel confident thatI can win with and I think most
people are kind of you know,in the same regard. And then you
know, like you just hit on. You got this infusion of youth this
year, a really intriguing group ofquarterbacks. It almost feels like with Jayden
Daniels, JJ McCarthy and Caleb Williamsthat we have three guys who are instantly

(04:12):
gonna start. Just in my ownprojections, all three of those guys come
out of my top twenty one, which is you know, pretty remarkable for
rookie quarterbacks, especially with you know, McCarthy, I expect him to start
from day one. You're talking abouta Minnesota offense. It's been top four
in passing the last two years.I don't see how they're going to change
that. Presumably he's ready to go, of course, and beats out Sam

(04:34):
Donald, which I don't buy intothat, but uh, and then after
that, you know, even evenbo Nick's interesting fit, you know,
Darren Denver, it's hard from aprojections at the rankings point, it's hard
to get him, you know, into the top twenty five, But there's
a there's a path to him beingthere as a person that throws a lot

(04:54):
of short passes, and he's inan offense you know with Sean Payton,
where that's you know, been that'spredicated his offenses for for many many years.
So very interesting, very deep groupof quarterbacks this year. And uh,
you know, Josh Allen, likeyou said, are out the top.
I don't know. I mean,you're you're the Bills guy. I

(05:15):
mean, it feels like you don'twant to buck against you know, this
guy. But it's been unprecedented tosee him be the number one quarterback for
so many years. But you lookat last year he ran for fifteen touchdowns.
That doesn't feel like the kind ofthing that that's going to be repeatable.
And then you know, you lostyour top two targets and Stefan Diggs
and Gave Davis, so you're you'rebringing in a whole new receiving corn all

(05:39):
that. So it feels like it'smaybe maybe time for somebody else to step
up and be QB one. Ithink that the big question is who's that
going to be? That's right, who is it going to be? Yeah?
And I'm I'm definitely that one guyfour years, right, you just
think odds. I mean, noone really does it three years in a
row. I think only two quarterbackshave done it three years in a rows
at four now, like just justa math tells you that he's gonna he

(06:01):
could fall off, you know,so question marks there around receiving corps.
You know, loose Stephon Diggs.Don't really bring in an alpha, you
know, Kean Coleman. The drafthim, uh, top end of the
second round there or back into thefirst round. And you got the tight
end there. Love love love thetight end. Love the pass catching running
backs, James James Cook, DaltonKincaid, the tight end, Dawson Knox

(06:25):
can catch, Curtis Samuel. Soa bunch of like kind of you know,
I don't know if they're alpha's,but a bunch of guys that can
play at a little bit. We'llsee there is he Is he your QB
one of your rankings right now,Jody, he came out yes from a
number standpoint, But I do believethat when all said and done, I'm

(06:46):
probably gonna end up with Mahomes's mynumber one quarterback. But that's not with
a lot of confidence what is youknow, and I hate to, you
know, be boring, but there'sbasically four guys in that top tier with
Hurt Mahome, Josh Allen, LamarJackson. You could conceivably see someone's rankings
with all four of those guys numberone and be like, okay, I

(07:06):
can buy into it. There's alittle bit of a drop off after that.
Now that's not to say that otherquarterbacks it's impossible for someone else to
step up have a huge year andb number one, But it feels like
a pretty safe bet that that's goingto be your your number one quarter quarterback.
You know, when all said anddone an end of the year,
I wouldn't be surprised at all tosee it be Josh Allen, but you

(07:30):
know, and right now here itis mid June, he tops the rankings
right now. But like I said, when all sudden done, I really
want to see how these new piecesfit in with my homes and with Kansas
City, see what they look likewith with pads on this summer, and
see what what's coming happening during thepreseason there. That's where I'll be interested,
you know, because that was whatwas you know, what killed Kansas

(07:53):
City last year was missing that deepelement, and they went out of their
way drafting the fastest player and combinehistory and also getting Hollywood Brown. So
they feels like, Okay, wewe resolve that issue. So I like
to see how that's going to openup things for the Chiefs. Yeah.
Yeah, so many options there. You know, I'm gonna mix in a
little bit of everything. But likeyou said, with the depth of the

(08:15):
quarterback position, Jody, it's likewe you can kind of wait on quarterbacks,
like like you said, you getthat guy. But I think,
Josh, if you know, whenyou break down the numbers, like you
said, Josh, Allen QB one, he's still gonna He still took the
goal line back there, right, and so I think he's gonna spread the
ball around it and I think he'sstill gonna get his his numbers. But
you don't need to reach on himin the third or fourth rounds. And

(08:37):
you don't need to need to reachon there because there's also some other really
good quarterbacks around him. Speaking ofa guy Jalen Hurts who was on a
tear last year, it's elected lastfour or five weeks of the season,
there was lighting it up. Youknow, the tush push, all those
tush push touchdowns, all the weaponsare out around him. It's like the
opposite of what Josh Allen's got. He's got alphas all over the place.
Divide to Smith A. J.Brown, Dallas Goddard's back. Now,

(08:58):
So what do you think Jalen hurtsin Philly there? Do you think they
can kind of pick up where theyleft off like mid season last year or
does that drop off at the endof the year can kind of kind of
scare you? Well, you lookas a thrower, you know, he
had his career best in touchdown passesin yards last year, but you saw

(09:18):
it that his efficiency kind of dippeda little bit and he threw fifteen interceptions,
which was by far a career highfor him, but supplemented his income
nastly with that fifteen rushing touchdowns. But again, that is it doesn't feel
like that's something that's going to besustainable. In particular, you signed Saquon
Barkley to hopefully fill in for thatarea. I know that the Eagles were

(09:43):
the most run heavy red zone teamin football last season and are not going
to get away from that. Obviouslythat generally that's going to hamper Jalen Hurts
as a thrower. But you know, again he's in that top tier nicely
with the quarterbacks, I don't Imean, in my projections, he's going
to come out at you know, nine or ten rushing touchdowns, which is

(10:07):
a pretty significant drop from last year. But you have to look at things.
When you're doing projections, you kindof look at things and more of
a it's not a place to beto be the hot take guy. It's
not a place like you don't reallyput in your projections. As much as
you could see an outcome where DerekHenry could score eighteen or twenty touchdowns this
year in Baltimore, you still don'tput that in your projections. I mean

(10:30):
it's okay to say, you know, hot take on Twitter, but you
can't do that projections. It's thesame thing with Hurts. I have to
do a more modest view of things. And you know, overall, no
matter what with Hurts, that he'sthe right fit and that offense, and
you know, you wonder without thatconnection, especially on Tush push that he

(10:52):
had with Jason Kelsey, where theyknew I mean, you saw all those
those runs. It was a youknow Kelsey perfect. They had that they
were in perfect unison with that play. So that's an issue to consider too.
And then you know, do theyeveryone knows it's coming, do you
still want your quarterback taking as muchof a beating? So I think that's

(11:13):
kind of why, you know, you signed Saquon Barkley to a big money
deal. So we'll see if ifhe remains you know, a double digit
touchdown guy, and you know, and if he if he doesn't, then
I don't know that there's a pathto him being top three or four.
I'm gonna modestly, you know, moderately say it's there now. I mean,

(11:33):
I can't dip Jalen Hurts any lowerthan three or maybe four. But
uh, like I said, thereare some things that you could see him
dropping off. You could also seehim finishing number one. Yeah, I
mean he's finished as the top threefantasy quarterback back to back seasons. He's
in his prime, He's twenty sixyears old. You know, like I
said, AJ Brown, Divide toSmith. He's got everything there. Saquon
Barkley's interesting. What they're gonna dowith the goal line. You know,

(11:56):
Hurt started to wear down last yearand that touch push is so good for
those touchdowns, but you know,it's also a lot of punishment that your
quarterback's taken. Maybe you go geta guy like Squon. Maybe he can
do the touch pushy way. Hecan't go under center and drive forward for
a yard every time. So that'sgonna be interesting to see what they do
and interesting to see. We're notobviously not in the running back projections right

(12:16):
for this show, but interesting tosee where guys like you project Saquon for
touchdowns and you know, rushing yards. Yeah again, go ahead, go
go idea. Yeah, so youknow, I always lean more towards the
moderate side of my projection, butI can't say that still ended up very

(12:37):
well. Yes, no, I'mbig on Saquon this year. But another
guy that got you know, asif he needed any more, Pat Patrick
Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback, theguy who's won so many Super Bowls.
He just always finds a way toget it done. This is the guy
that they just added so much tofor him this season. I mean,
you know, they they spent afirst round pictured up with the Bills and

(12:58):
how they got a receiver in thefirst round there, you know, super
super fast Xavier Worthy. You know, they got Marque s Brown, they
got Travis Kelcey, they got RiceRushi Rice. I mean, you know,
the guy's just loaded with weapons overthere. Now, he's a guy
that I like taking as my QBone over even Allen and hurts because the

(13:18):
ceilings so high there with all thoseweapons that they just brought in Top six
fantasy quarterback each of his first fiveseasons. You know, he's an elite
quarterback obviously, but he was onlytenth in points per game last year.
From from a quarterback perspective, wheredo you have where do you have Patrick
Mahomes and your rankings? Right now, he's my QB two behind Josh Allen.

(13:39):
But like we said at the topof the show, I really feel
like if I like what I seeout of Kansas City's offense this summer with
the infusion of speed, that it'spretty easy for him to get up to
be my number one quarterback. Imean, it's just his floor is so
high. Even even last year whenhe had a career worse six point eight

(14:00):
average depth of target, there wasnothing deep for the Chiefs. Uh.
You know, it forced issues withthe offensive line, you know, with
them being able to blitz without havingto worry about that deep element. You
know, it forced him to scramblelike something like a career high fifty times
something like that. And you know, even in a down year, he

(14:22):
was still what eight overall scoring, you know, like you said, tenth
per game, and he's still gonnaget you three hundred rushing yards. He's
still gonna run it. He callhis own number two three times. And
again you know, I'm thinking whenyou you add two elite speed downfield options
on the perimeter, that's really goingto open things up for Kelsey, who

(14:43):
you know, again, it's notlike you need to be talked into drafting
Kelsey. And you know the questionwill be is how many games is Russie
right is going to be out andall that. But again, my home's
still still locked into the to thistop tier for me. And you know
it's all said that if I hadto finalize my final rankings right now,
I'd go ahead and put in QBone. Yeah, Like I don't know

(15:05):
about the about the Chiefs receivers becausethere's so many options there and Mahomes is
not a king maker when it comesto receiver, Like he's not like a
Matt Stafford or a Jared Goff wholocks into one of these guys. And
obviously he has Kelsey, he makee. You know, he's got that going
on. But like these receivers, like they're just never he never has a
guy that just absolutely goes crazy.Tyreek Hill obviously had. They had a

(15:26):
great year with him, but thenhe moved on. But the last couple
of years just all been through throughthe tight end and kind of a couple
of good games here, a coupleof games there from the receivers. You
know, Juju Smith Schuster was kindof a bust couple of years ago with
him, uh finished wide receiver nineteenin point points per game, So even
when he was healthy, he wasn'tdoing really well. But yeah, I
think mahomes is he's just so safe. So many weapons there, you know,

(15:48):
even their pass rate the last fiveyears tenth, eight, seventh,
fifth, fourth, fifth, it'sjust so many good you know they're gona
they're gonna throw the ball on theoffsive coordinator and coach are back Naggie Andy
Reid. So I think you canjust lie. He's just a safe pick.
And in basketball he's easy, easyto stack, right, I mean
you can get. You can takethe Kelsey first and then come back and
get Mahmes, or you can doit cheaper and go get the receivers.
You still got to spend some midround picks on them, but it's easy

(16:11):
to do. You grab my homes, you grab a couple of those receivers
in, You're in. You You'reYou're fine, You're fine. Yeah,
it's easy to u This year,it's been extremely easy to get stacks.
It just depends on you know, what you said kind of at the top
was, you know, I thinkwe're kind of advising people you don't really
need this year to take one ofthese elite quarterbacks. And then you know,
definitely not in the second, butin the third, fourth round with

(16:33):
the debt, you know why,you know, why not wait? But
you know, if it becomes thearea, like if you if you're able
to start your draft off with thesereceivers, you know, if you're able
if you get an a J.Brown, if you get a Devonte Smith,
it's pretty easy to turn around andget and get hurt. It's even
easier to stack the Chiefs because youdon't have other than Kelsey. You don't

(16:56):
really have a Kansas City receiver that'sgoing to go, and in the first
multiple rounds it's a little more difficultto do the Eagles and the Bills.
It's kind of wide open because atthis point it's kind of a guessing game.
Other than Kincaid it tight end, which is a very interesting stack.
But after that, you're taking yourshots on Curtis, Samuel and Shakir.

(17:21):
You know, you're in keon Coleman. You're just taking these shots deeps.
It's really really easy to get aBill stack, but right now it's a
little more difficult to project who's theguys to get, Yeah, exactly.
And with the Bill stacks too,it's like who cares, they're so those
guys are going so much later figurethat out, but like the Chiefs guys

(17:42):
are going a little a little bitcheaper. It's not gonna or sorry,
a little bit more expensive for thoseof those Chiefs guys. But yeah,
for sure, I just think mahomesa really safe pick. Moving on to
maybe the last guy in your topfour here said you said the top four
here, Lamar Jackson, you know, MVP season but not really a fantasy
MVPC and didn't score a ton ofton of touchdowns. You know, they

(18:03):
brought in Todd Mockin last year asthe offensive coordinator, didn't have you know,
really that much of an effect onthe passing games through it threw a
little bit more, but he reallygot there on the ground is where it
was injured in twenty one rushing yards, you know, fifty one yard yards
a game there, but he's stillyou know, they threw a little bit
more, but you know, nothaving Mark Andrews, a lot of a

(18:26):
lot of injuries there, loses JK. Dobbins in the first game of the
year for the season, so theydid have a lot of injuries there.
But I don't know, Lamar justseemed to kind of fall off for me
there, you having as you're youknow, in the top in the top
four for you, I got anotherquarterback I would probably throw in my top
four first, but give me yourcase for Lamar. I liked what I
saw out of him as a asa passer last year, first first year

(18:49):
in a new system, and youknow, he had a career high and
attempt completion completion rate yards one MVP. I like what I saw at him.
You know, the biggest issue andyou know you're going to get the
rushing production out of Lamar Jackson. The thing that holds him back maybe from
being the Josh Allen, the JalenHurts type of dual threat quarterback, is

(19:11):
that they don't like running Lamar onthe goal line where you're not afraid to
put Allen and Hurts bigger guys. They're not afraid at all. The Bills
do, I mean, excuse me. The Ravens they take it easy.
And now you bring in Derrick Henry. So you almost feel like even if
Lamar Jackson can approach a thousand rushingyards that it feels like any of his

(19:34):
touchdown runs are most likely to comefrom outside of five yards. So that
really puts a cap on It feelslike last year's five rushing touchdowns for Lamar
Jackson is about right. And yousaw you strides. First off, he
stayed healthy, but you saw stridesfrom him as a passer luster and the
one thing that keeps him that makeshim the least likely of this top tier

(19:59):
to actually b QB one. Thisis supporting cast. The Ravens aren't going
to move away from being a topfive rushing offense, and there's questions you
have a overshot Bateman, Nelson Agilar, these guys are probably going to be
playing pretty significant snaps in this offense. And I think we all know by
now at this point that those guysaren't really reliable players. They're they're they're

(20:22):
not guys you really want to evenhave on your fantasy roster. So you
know you're gonna be looking at atjust say Flowers and Mark Andrews as the
main guys there. So while it'sfun from a stat perspective because you kind
of know exactly who to target inthis draft, that lack of weapons and
depth that's what keeps Lamar Jackson firmlyis my QB four. Yeah, he

(20:48):
also only missed one game last year, the meaningless final game of the year,
and normally he's missing more games thanthat. I mean, I think
the three years previous he ended hisseason on the you know, you know,
on the outside of Little canad Watchwatching his team. So, you
know, I don't know, I'vebeen a guy that's always loved drafting Lamar
Jackson, but you know, rightnow, is QB four. I just
can't see myself taking him over myQB before. And that's c J.

(21:11):
Stroud, a guy that's you know, coming off a rookie year also has
that rushing upside. You know, the teams the team is very very good.
You know, edit stuff on Diggshopefully at healthy tank now, Nico
Collins, I mean, Schultz's no, no sloush mixing. I mean,
the guy's got everything you'd ever wantas as a quarterback as far as o
line play and weapons around him. He's a guy that I like to bet

(21:33):
on a guy that's got all thesetype of weapons and their their their throat
rate wasn't even as high as likewhat you would expect out of a team
like that. They barely threw onfirst down last year. So you're hoping
it is a leap of faith hereand thinking that they're gonna maybe put more
on the second year of quarterback shoulders. But you know, he was only
he was fourteenth and Pro football focusedpassing grade twenty first and big time thrower

(21:57):
percentage tent in time to throw. So there's some mix. There's like a
mixed bag there of stuff that hedid last year. But I just think
with the influx of talent and theteam looking to push for a Super Bowl,
mean you don't bring in a StephanDiggs unless you're pushing away in a
Super Bowl and pushing to throw bigtime out down the field. So I
really like C. C. J. Stroud this year. Yeah, what's

(22:21):
not the like? It's a littletidbit that threw and a little spoiler coming
up for the magazine. He wasjust the third quarterback in NFL history to
lead the league in passing yards pergame and TD to I N T ratio.
The other two some guys you mighthave heard of, named Joe Montana
and Tom Brady. Yes, sir, you got to like what you saw
out of out of Stroud's rookie debut. I mean just completely in command and

(22:45):
he was not you know, onlyhad five interceptions. Very impressive for a
rookie quarterback to be able to dothat. And again what you said,
you've got to you're talking about arguablythe best one two three receiving corps and
football. You've got a you know, a tight end one in Dalton Schultz
and now you've got Joe Mixon inthere. The Texans are going for it,

(23:07):
which is really exciting, you knowdown here to see a team like
that. Love Stroud, but myonly h the only hesitation I have There's
just two small concerns about Stroud, and one is that teams now have a
full season's worth of pro film tosit here all all winter, all spring,

(23:27):
breakdown tendencies, breakdown things that theycan look at. And number two
is that the Texans came out ofabsolutely nowhere last year had one of the
league's easiest schedules. Now they're playinga first place schedule. Those games against
you know, the Cardinals and thePanthers, who they lost to, by

(23:48):
the way, those are replaced bygames against the Ravens and the Bills and
teams like that. So that's myonly hesitation with him. He's not a
quarterback that I'm avoiding. And anyway, I have no issues at all with
you putting him this year. QBefore. I mean to me, you
know, at what point how farcan you dropping? I mean, can
you without getting cute, can youreally dropping him below seven or eight?

(24:10):
So he's still he's no, Iagree, you can't. He's right there
to me, firmly in that secondtier of quarterbacks. Sure. I just
feel like, especially here in theHouston area, I won't have many that
many shares of him, right,That's right, That's a good point.
But yeah, like you said, you're not you know, we're not gonna
go through every single quarterback here isright, but you're not gonna you know,

(24:33):
he's in that tier you could puthim, you know, uh Burrow,
Richardson Prescott, Like, you're notgonna put him any further down than
that, right, You're not gonnarank Jayden Daniels ahead of him or Jordan
Love or anything like that. Soyeah, I know, you know,
I love those guys, but likeright now, I've got Joe Burrow ahead
of him. I really like JoeBurrow this year. I think when you
look at Burrow last year, youknow it was it was a tough start

(24:57):
for him. He was still deepwith a complete lack of mobility because of
that calf injury he had in thepreseason. You saw it finishing outside of
the top twenty and three straight tostart the season. But then starting in
Week five, everything started coming togetherwith Joe Burrow. So the rest of
his full games that he played therest of the year, he finished TB

(25:18):
eight fourteen four six seven. Hewas hummed. That's the Joe Burrow that
I'm kind of thinking is going tobe launched and ready to go. For
you know, for a week onethis year, still got presumably we've got
T Higgins lining up, but I'mreally excited about Jermaine Burton replacing Tyler Boyd
there in the slot. So,you know, just an issue of preference.

(25:42):
I'm not going to argue with anybody, like if you're you know,
Straut, your guy, go gethim. You know, he's going to
be in an insane area. Butit feels like in the drafts and the
mock and the expert drafts that I'vedone that Burrow's been sliding further. So
to me, he's a little bitbetter value too. Yeah, to you
know, a lot of the leaguesI play in, man, it's a

(26:02):
very heavy money at the end ofthe year, right, these big these
big tournaments, it's all about thefinal weeks. I just like guys that
are gonna play, you know, just little nitpicky type of stuff, like
guys are gonna play in good weather, guys are gonna play in Dome.
So I like, you know,I liked Stroud for playing in that dome.
And yeah, you're talking about yeahtournament, the tournament, Uh,
yeah, that's things you definitely gota weigh in. Yeah, yeah,

(26:26):
for sure, And speaking of aguy who's gonna play in the Dome Anthony
Richardson, are you I mean thebig question mark is just his his health.
Right he was a dominant, thetop five fantasy quarterback when he was
healthy. He wasn't healthy very much. He also wasn't healthy very much in
college. For a guy that's asbig as Anthony Richardson was a two hundred
and fifty five pounds Right now asa quarterback, it's freaking Cam Newton.

(26:47):
Uh, but faster? What doyou What are your thoughts on Richardson.
Is it just hey, I'm gonnaclose my eyes and take him and hope
he doesn't get hurt type of deal? Or are are you a little bit
more more more cautious than that?Yeah? I think that's the approach you
have to have with And we saw, you know, he was QB two
and QB four in his two completegames, and he was absolutely loading up
the Texans in that game. Ithink he had rushed for two touchdowns there

(27:10):
in the first half before he endedup He ended up leaving that game,
so it was like, you know, who knows what would have happened that
way. He feels like he wouldhave been QB one for the week with
two early rushing scores, but hemints upside. He's a good fit for
Steichen's offense. I think he actuallyfared better as a passer than we were
all projecting him to, which isreally uh, that's it's where you see

(27:37):
people like getting really excited about him. But with that kind of playing style,
with that size or whatever, itfeels like if you're going to invest
in Richardson, you've got to beable to house that second quarterback or you've
got to have a plan. Andif you're super flex, does that allow
you to pair him with another quarterbackthat could potentially be uh, you know,

(28:02):
prone to getting hurt or you know, another athletic, running tight quarterback
that that's bound to break down atsome point, and especially in best ball,
you've got to be uh you know, you know a little more cautious
about that. It's almost like youfeel like you've got if you're gonna take
a shot on Richardson early, yougot to sit back and you got to
take one of these guys in theQB two or TWOB three range that that's

(28:26):
pretty much guaranteed to play sixteen games. And uh, that makes it,
you know, something a factor tokeep in mind for me. Yeah,
no, I yeah, I cancompletely agree if you're gonna take him to
take a quarterback a little bit earlieras your QB two. A guy that
I really like. Also, that'sinside night, that's just inside my top

(28:47):
time. Kyler Murray, you know, coming off the injury last year,
comes back, there's really well kindof down the stretch there. You know,
gets gets Marvin Harrison Junior also hasa has a a great young tight
end there as well. You know, James James Conder can catch the ball,
Greg Dersch, Wilson McBride, youknow, so many options there.

(29:10):
I really like him with the rushing, the dual threat ability there. That's
that's where the guys like him cankind of separate themselves from the from the
Jordan Loves who runs a little bit, but not like Kyler or the Joe
Burrows or stuff like that. It'syou know, he's a guy that I
like. Again, good weather atthe end of the end of the year,
weapons around him, easier schedule. What do you think about Kyler Murray

(29:34):
high floor, that rushing ability, even coming off less than a year,
coming off an a cl injury,He's still averaged over thirty rushing yards a
game. He had four QB onefinishes and eight weeks he had zero DOUD
games. Like, none of hisstarts last year were outside. He didn't
hurt, he was not outside ofQB twenty and any of his his eight

(29:57):
starts. So you just loved thathe's got such a high floor. And
this is coming off an injury whereyou know, you remember a year ago
we were all skeptical of where torank him and do we want anything to
do with him? And you're goingto see a lot of favorable gain scripts
for for the Cardinals passing game thisyear. You know they're projected what second
fewest SEC second or third fewest winsthey're projected for, And like you said,

(30:19):
Adam, you're seeing pretty favorable schedule. The NFC West are not going
to see a lot of bad weathergames and obviously their home games are indoors,
so that's something you know, keepingin fact. Keep in mind,
Uh, he's my QB ten aswell. I have no problem setting back
and taking him again, though Imean with with injury concerned for him,

(30:41):
it feels like you need to have, you know, a different plan in
place. But assuming he's healthy andassuming he's no less likely, you know,
no more likely to get injured thanhe ever was before. Uh.
I love him. Think he's apretty safe QB one. Yeah. No,
I like it too. And there'sthis character Adam Krautwurst that says j
Connor can't really catch the football. So if you're watching, Noah, thank

(31:03):
you, that's that's my son watching, telling me that James Connor can't really
catch the football, referencing Arizona. You are wrong, son, He is
a dual threat running back out ofthe backfield. I know. Go go
do your homework. Okay, goto your own work. Connor has been
pretty good catching the ball. Said, that's right, that's right. Absolutely.

(31:25):
You know a guy that I can'tquit taking this early and I normally
I'm not this excited about rookie quarterbacks. It's Kate, Caleb Williams, Jody.
He's just you know, Chicago neverdoes anything right, you know what
I mean. They screw everything up. But man, all those weapons there,
the old line is so much betterif Kayler Williams can just stay you
know, with a good square headof his shoulders. Because you know,

(31:47):
we get question marks about that typeof stuff. I feel like he's physically
talented enough with all these weapons.Man, what do you think about Kayleb
Williams? Is this season? Okay? So I'm coming out lower in my
projections on Caleb Williams that I'm seeingfrom the general consensus from the ECR.
And it's not because I have anythingagainst him. It's because quarterback again,

(32:09):
Adam is so loaded. There's somany more quarterbacks that I feel like are
more proven now. I absolutely lovethe receiving cores, the weapons they put
around him. I love that they'rethey're going all in to take this rookie
and they got rid of fields andthey're like, all right, let's just
let's go ball to the wall toget some real weapons behind this kid.

(32:29):
And it's great. And the Bearshave a top three schedule for quarterbacks this
year, which you know, veryappealing. You know, I don't know
if you want to buy into theto the curse of the Bears never having
a four thousand yard passer, becauseyou're talking like an extended history that's never
happened. So for you to takethis guy as your fantasy quarterback, you're

(32:50):
betting on that. Obviously, havingto happen. He's going to have to
either hit that thirty t d markthat Chicago can'thit, or he's gonna have
to hit that four thousand yard mark. But for me, it just comes
down as much as I like himas a prospect, there's just other guys
in that range, you know, that I can't early on. We'll see

(33:15):
some things this summer when I saywe see how he actually looks and all
that, but as of right now, again it doesn't come out as high.
I can't get him ahead of youknow, guys like Kirk Cousins and
Tua and Jared Goff, these guysthat you're seeing a lot of people ranking
him ahead of. In my ownpersonal view, I feel like those are
safer, safer outlets. I'm interestedin Caleb Williams, but you know,

(33:35):
it feels like I'm not going toroster him very much this year, just
because the hype surrounding him, theweapons around him. You know, it's
just it's driven his price up alittle higher than I'm willing to spend.
Right now. Yeah, no,I totally, I totally get it.
ADP's around around the tenth round rightnow. For for the young guy Keller
Williams there justin Herbert. You knoweveryone's panicked about you know, they're gonna

(34:00):
on the ball, They're going torun the ball. His weapons aren't very
good or there's such a question markon his weapons. You know, Johnson
was, johnsin was terrible last year. Led mccacky, can he be had
a number one? All this typeof stuff? Are you as panicked as
as some people are, even evenMeal a little bit as far as like
the run rate and the pass ratewith Harbaugh and the weapons? Do you
where do you have? Justin Herbert? He actually came in first run the

(34:23):
projection to what I came into myQB twelve. I'm actually high. I'm
actually higher on Herbert than a lotof people are. And I feel like
just as a talent standpoint, youknow, he's proven how good he can
be, especially from a fantasy perspective. He's an underrated runner. I don't
think that element of his game isgoing to change in this offense. You

(34:45):
know what does hurt you is thatthroughout his time in NFL his teams have
ranked In his seasons, his teamsare ranked first in place per game and
pace per game. Well, that'sup you know about the change now.
It is true that that we canlook back at the history of Greg Roman
and Harbaugh working together, that thereare going to be this is going to

(35:06):
be a team that wants to winon defense, that wants to win in
the trenches, that's going to rampup the rushing game and all that.
Uh, there'll be thirty thirty firstor lower end pace of play. But
from a neutral game perspective, theyweren't that bad. They were more like
they were closer to twenty range. And when you look at the over the
over under for the Chargers, Idon't think any too many people are projecting

(35:29):
them to be real contenders. SoI think from the game script perspective,
I don't think that rushing thing they'regoing to end up quite nears the bottom
is a lot of people are projectingand I don't like. I don't like
the mass exodus of past catching talentthat the Chargers had. That's one thing

(35:50):
that that me, uh, youknow, is concerned. And I wouldn't
call Justin Herbert a locked in QBone, But I feel like he's smart
enough, he protects the ball wellenough. I still feel like he's gonna
be able to get in there. He's gonna come you know, four thousand
yards. I think he'll be aroundthat area. And again, you know
he's gonna get you three hundred andfifty four hundred rushing yards and you know

(36:14):
a handful of rushing scores and allthat. You know, again, nice
value for me because like I said, he's still on the cusp of being
a QB one for me. Butagain, you know, rankings can change.
I honestly feel like with this tier, he's in this tier of you
know, Jadan Daniels, Jared Gofftoa Kirk Cousins, Trevor Lawrence, Justin
Herbert, all these guys, youfeel like they could swap positions and be

(36:37):
anywhere in your rankings anywhere from sayeleven, twelve, thirteen all the way
down to seventeen eighteen. Yeah,I definitely like a guy like Jayden Daniels
about even though it's a rookie, because again, the rushing stats they are
going to be so insane that that'sgonna raise his Yeah. Yeah, it
takes take some swings. I meanI want I want all the Jade and
Daniels. Yeah, I'm very ianje dancers. So the thing this really

(37:00):
scares me about Herbert is the passrate when we had Harbaugh and Roman together
from twenty eleven fourteen in San Franciscopass rate thirty first, thirty first,
thirty second, twenty ninth. Imean, it's just scary not having the
weapons there. Herbert. I thinkit's great, but I would go shoot
for a little bit more upside inthis area to draft myself personally. But

(37:20):
I think Herbert's a fine quarterback.And I think this is kind of a
transition year for them for sure, and they might win, Like I don't,
They might win a bunch of games. I mean, I don't.
That doesn't matter to me though,But I think they're gonna build through the
old line. Their old line's gonnabe great. They're running game. But
who knows about the weapons there? But all right, I'd be remiss if
if we didn't, you know, talk about this guy on the show for

(37:42):
the for the Boss for the BossMan, Aaron Rodgers the New York New
York Jets here. I was veryhigh on Aaron Rodgers last year. I'm
back on Aaron Rodgers bandwagon this season. I think, you know, he
has a terrible offensive courier and thething, you'll hack it. But Hacke
it just lets you know, Rogersdo whatever and every Hey, he's turning
forty two, I get it.I think Garrett Wilson's so good. Breist

(38:04):
Hall is so good. He's gotI think he's got enough weapons there and
he's gonna have a really great defense. They're gonna be in some shootouts with
the Bills and the Dolphins within thedivision. I really like Aaron Rodgers to
have a QB two. I mean, nothing special. I'm not you know,
I'm not gonna really make him myQB one. But if I if
I wait and get stuck or somethinglike that, I'm finely taking Aaron Rodgers

(38:25):
for sure. Yeah, but thenyou have to root for him. I
mean it's an issue, you know, I said when I wrote him up
in a magazine, I called himone of the league's most polarizing players.
And that comes from me to me. That's on and off the field.

(38:45):
You know, he's now north offorty you're looking at when you look at
his career numbers, you're looking ata three year general decline in accuracy,
yards, touchdowns, big time throwrate, second most interceptions of his career
came in twenty twenty two. Ilike the weapons they put around him.

(39:07):
That that's you know, one ofthe positives. It's also you know,
it's a pretty subpar offensive line.You know, he's a risk reward pick
for me. I really as deepas quarterback as I have a hard time
even thoughing this is one of theall time greatest quarterbacks, and maybe the

(39:28):
motivation of missing last year and thetalks that he's dusted, maybe these are
the kind of things that motivate himand we see some of the old Aaron
Rodgers magic. But I even evennow with quarterback being this deep, Adam,
I have a hard time getting himhigher than say QB fourteen or fifteen.
I can't get him. I can'tsee a scenario where Aaron Rodgers is

(39:52):
QB one. Oh. I thinkhe's more likely to be outside of the
twenty than he is you know, into the uh you know, to be
one twelve fourteen range. Yeah,no, I get it, I get
it for sure. But I yeah, I mean, I like Rogers there
because I like Garrett Wilson so much. We have a lot of Rodgers and

(40:14):
Wilson stacks. I like him inSuper Flax, like him in Best ball
obviously, but you know, I'mnot going to target in this mate as
my QB one. But he'll haveso he'll have some big games, you
know, no rushing upside for fortytwo years old. Well yeah, that's
another point that I meant to Bouy. He no longer, Yeah, that's
no longer. Early in his careerhe was a good scrambler. Yeah,
Herbert, he's gonna get your threehundred something like that and no more,

(40:36):
not that anymore, all right,Jordan. So but before we go,
give me one guy that you mightbe I guess it doesn't have to be
in the bottom ten or fifteen guyshere, But what's one guy that you
know, compared to the consensus rankings, that you're much higher on than than
ever everybody else. I think McCarthycould walk into an opportunity and offense as

(40:58):
long as well. First off,he's got to he's got to get his
he's got to sign a contract andstart, you know, getting them early
reps and all that stuff. Presuminghe starts the season at number one,
I think he's in a situation wherethe volume will be good. I want
to say Russell Wilson was not nearas bad last year, as we all
thought he was. But he's nota guy that I want to, you

(41:22):
know, promote people to say, hey, you know, Russell Wilson's a
really strong QB two. I thinkhe can be. But I also feel
like a couple of games in arow that Russell Wilson could could struggle,
uh and you could see justin fieldsget get in there and play. So
that's you know, a risk Ithink. You know, again every year,

(41:43):
my answer to that question is who'sbeing underlook Kirk Cousins. But yeah,
I do. That's been my gameplan for I don't know, the
last three or four years. Ialways just sit back and I'll just take
Kirk Cousins, no problem. Alittle risk here this year coming off and
Achilles, but uh, I stillthink if he's healthy, he's gonna be
right there contending for QB one numbersagain. Yeah, Drake London, Kyle

(42:07):
Pitts, b Jeim, he's gothe's got the weapons around him there,
right, so why not you know, same kind of similar to Minnesota there,
But uh, yeah, no,I completely agree in a lot a
lot of that stuff and a lotof us will fiure itself out right.
We don't even know miss McCarthy starting. He probably is, but a lot
of that stuff will kind of workitself out. Kirk Cousin's coming at the
Achilles. Once we see him playingin training camp and all that, we

(42:29):
can kind of move him up theretoo. But yeah, no, I
completely agree. But Jody, Yo, great job tonight. Thank you so
much for for bringing the noise hereon the quarterback rankings. I'm excited to
get into all these other ones.Maybe we'll jump on next week or maybe
in two weeks here and we'll getWe'll get the running backs, receivers to
